(Join the club. Especially when i buy the fancier pencils, I'm keeping a close eye for them telling myself that I won't loose them this time! Lol. )
Lyle was rather upset on the inside, he didn't want to show this side of him. He couldn't afford to show this side of him, mainly because he wanted to see his girls smile themselves. Secondly.... the thing that was out there would appear physically to comfort him , and as nice as that sounded-there was an issue. W-Well two... First... the shadow that would appear, would emit its uncomfortable aurora, would vibrate fear to anyone near by. Secondly .... there was X , x didn't know about Phantom nor did Angelique. So the two would be trying to fight it. Now he had a few solutions.... He could get up , and drag Angelique back home. He could also force her to go home alone, but based on his breakdown it was unlikely that she would leave his side. Another possibility was to flatly introduce her , to tell her the truth after all these years. She probably had questions around that idea ... She always did. Prob ably still now. However two issues still remain. Should she introduce Phantom to her, she may fall prey to its fear aura. It's not that the shadow would intentionally hurt her, it's just that the fear aura was a part of it's system. Despite this there was a way for people whom he trusted to grow immune to the aura. She wouldn't be able to handle it.... She almost overwhelmed herself with the spirits of the clearing... She wouldn't be able to handle phantom.... To become immune , by the blessing of a host was to submit to it. By submitting to it, the aura of fear becomes nothing more then a tickle: because a host gave their assurance that the individual before then was deemed okay. Now that sounds bizarre, to give family members permission, but for the same reason of the story of Kane and Abel, was blessing from a master necessary.
"D-Don't worry a-about me..J-Just don't, try to be scared of the thing.... approaching, okay?" his gaze met hers like a mimicking mirror. He began to mimic her breathing regardless, yet he had a feeling that he broke down so bad that even if he was calm by the next minute it would still come to his side regardless.
In the background a pair of yellow eyes gleaned, and it was slowly making its way towards the clearing.

Her brow furrowed as he told her not to be terrified. What was he talking about? Between the two of them, he was the terrified one. "Dad, you're not making sense. We should head back home." She murmured quietly, worried for her Father. Was he going insane? It sure seemed like it. Did she cause it? No, no, he told her she didn't hurt him. But then again, it could be possible he was hiding it. He seemed to hide every emotion besides cheer when he was around his daughters. This probably wasn't an exception.
She opened her mouth to say something else, to encourage him to get up so they could head home, only to be interrupted by X's snarl that vibrated among the clearing. It had stood up from its comfortable spot on the ground, no longer lazying around. Its body began to morph again until changing into a wolf form, one that was much larger than the lion persona it had taken moments ago. Its haunches were raised, the hundreds of eyes blinking and unblinking around its body. X's fangs glinted as he placed himself in front of Angelique, its wide tail curling around her and her Father as protection.
Breaking away from her Father's gaze, Angelique peered into the dark to see what had caused X to act so aggressively. "Da- d?" Her voice broke as she noticed something. Something was out there. Reaching a hand out, she pressed it against X's cool body to calm herself down a notch.

Lyle shook his head at the thought , "I know it doesn't make sense.... I wanted you to kinda not know about this." His voice softly replied. It was the only way he could speak clearly. "E-Even if we head home now, it will follow .... it needs to be at ease knowing that I'm fine..... " He vaguely explained. it thinks im hurt, but at the sane time it's feeding off my negativity.... which feeks relieving but at the same time , why now.... This exactly wasn't making any sense , his terminology for everything happening sounded insane. Of course she would doubt yourself.
The approaching figure was taking the form of a wolf as well. Instead of meeting X's size it maintained itself to the size if an average wolf, however... the remainder of its energy was engulfing the nearby trees, creating a blank world of nothing the closer it got. it's piercing yellow eyes gleaned brightly through this forming nothing. On top of that the clearing surrounding the group was being engulfed by darkness from all ends, so the idea of going home would need to wait.
"I-I am so sorry...." Lyle apologized. "I and early sorry for not answering all your doubts , or telling you what you've been dying to know.... " his voice held regret now, at this point it was pointless to lie through his teeth. Phantom had activivated it's defense mechanism, and seeing X getting all defensive was only giving it the wrong impression.
"Sweety.... don't fight. Tell X to retreat." Lyle pleaded. "I-It won't harm, and don't look directly at it-" he trailed off placing a hand against his forehead. He was growing dizzy and he knew it was one of Phantom'$ defenses, to keep him quiet, and to assure that he wouldn't see whatever needs the shadow felt to eliminate the trouble. In response Lyle's breathing grew heavier as his mind was at a haze.

Her mind was muddled with the new information being thrown at her, her Father's words not making much sense in her head. The creature in front of them seemed to be the cause of her Father's distress and that didn't sit well with her. She wanted to get rid of it as soon as possible, but was t so sure if she and X could handle it. However, she listened to his orders, not wanting to disrupt him even further.
"X." She muttered, trying to keep her voice steady despite feeling anything but calm. "C'mere." She gestured towards her companion. X glowered at her, not having the desire to follow her orders. It glanced back at the other creature approaching and a strong sense of protection surged through its body. It began to take a step forward towards the advancing creature before Angelique's strong "Now." resonated through it. Keeping its head down, it slunk towards its favorite human, morphing its shape to take the form of a choker around her neck once more. If it couldn't fight, then it would stay as close to her as it possibly could.
Angelique glanced at her Father worriedly, biting her lip anxiously as her mind raced. What should she do?? He seemed too weak to do anything, yet forced her to put X away. And the creature coming towards them wasn't exactly helping either. It made all the hairs on her arms stand on end, and she rubbed at the goosebumps in order for them to subside. "Hey, hey, Dad. It's okay. We'll be okay, alright? You don't have to apologize, nothing's your fault." She decided that right now, her main goal was to calm her Father down and make sure he was alright. Trying to ignore the stranger creature proved to be difficult.

(Well you can boast that. Xd ironically more then just my pencils go missing. My headset to talk to friends on discord goes nissi.g too sometimes. Sometimes my brother is in my room too. Xd ) (Then when I go for a trip that has me out of the house for more then three days, my brother kinda grows board. Sure he has all has consoles and pc, but according to my dad he like really wants someone to converse with, when he isnt talking to friends/hanging out with friends. )
"I-It's okay if you are scared...." Lyle assured her with a faint smile. He slowly stood up, and yet his hazy mind made standing feel so off. He took in deep breaths to try to circulate air to his head, that way he wouldn't feel so hazy. "It's only natural to feel scared...." He assured her, "this is one type of shadow that emits feel regardless of how strong ones mindset is." He explained. He took a step closer towards the wolf, then turned his head to see his daughter. "Stay where you are, okay? Don't worry about me... it's only... natural." He assured her with a finger signal for "okay."
The shadow crouched down as if to attack , it's gaze piercing through Lyle's mask of lies. It knew his distress and yet despite being given a life long order to protect Angelique and X, it would be willing to lighthouse it was ordered to protect should things get out of hand.
Lyle knelt down by the wolf and extended his arm out with steady breathing now in mind.
The wolf sniffed his hand then gazed over towards Angelique and X. It closed its eyes then gazed down, as it did this the forest once consumed by its absolute darkness was returning to normal. Crickets chirped nonce again, and the rushing water could be herd in the background. The wolf now turned its attention abck to Angelique and X.
"Its fine..." Lyle repeated as he sat himself on the grass, to face Angelique and and X, head on. The wolf extended itself to lay against Lyle's back. "S-So... where should I start..." He wiped the tears off his face. "Also try not to look directly at the massive force behind me, really try not to. Otherwise-you'll be having nightmares fora while."

{{ when things go missing, it's usually my fault. so I don't have anyone to blame but myself ;; but that's sucky that your things disappear lol }}
Angelique watched her Father leave her side, a mixture of worry and anxiety flowing within her. The warmth from he Father's body was disappearing quickly, much to her distaste. He.. He knew what that creature was? She was so full of questions. That meant he had an ability similar to hers? So, she had the right idea? She opened her mouth to say something but a wave of dizziness kept her mouth shut. The anxiety she felt for her Father won over her mind completely and she sat there, holding onto X.
It decided that being around her neck wasn't a pleasant spot for the time being and morphed back into its cat form, settling itself in her lap. Angelique nuzzled her face against X's, seeking for some sort of comfort. The creature happily responded back to its favorite human, pawing at her face gently. It was a good distraction for Angelique, as she tried to keep her gaze away from the creature that surrounded her Father. He told her not to look at it and she listened. Nightmares were common for her, she wouldn't want them to become excessive.
She was tired, confused, and wanted nothing more than to run all the way back to their old home. It was someplace familiar. Everything was too new, too fresh, too complicated for her to understand.

((Q.Q' Golly.... sometimes when my brother isn't responsible for a pencil or lead box going missing, I can blame my dad. xD There's a portion of his work where he is required to use pencils. xD))
Lyle sighed, "It would make sense to say that this thing behind me was your mothers. It would connect if I just told you that this came with the will.." His voiced paused with a tang of sympathy. "H-However...I'd be lying to you.... and for that I just cannot keep telling you that I don't know about this ability of yours." His voice held grief, and he wasn't going to hide it anymore. "I-I wanted you to meet Phantom.... that was my hopes tonight, because your abilities were coming along so well. Even after everything I held on this hope that I could introduce it to you and not scar you for life." He snickered in a different direction, "What a fool.... I should have realized that moving, and adding this transition would have added more then you could handle." His eyes held regret, "I should have just pushed this idea away... It never should have crossed my mind to introduce you to something such as this.." He shook his head at the thought, "On top of that, this backfired on me.... I didn't want you to meet it the way you did. I wanted you to embrace it, to welcome it to your world so you wouldn't feel as afraid as you currently are."
The wolf nuzzled against Lyle's side. As pleasant as it felt, and relieving he didn't want it, not right now. Yet the wolf would stay by his side regardless-at least until he returned to his calming state.
"If you hate me that's alright.." His voice spoke steady. "I-I understand if you would... all my siblings hated me after all. My father tried to kill me growing up, my mother was always out of the look until she spotted my injuries. It was your mother on the other hand who saw past that and saw me for who I was. She allowed Phantom into her life, and we made ourselves very happy; just having all of you bundles of joy around..." He softly spoke. It made him smile to recall his wife, but he was more upset recalling growing up.

{{ sometimes I can blame my cat when I'm home. He likes to knock everything down when he's hungry or when no one pays attention to him }}
Angelique had to bite back the whimper that lodged itself in her throat as she listened to her Father speak. She never knew much about his past and this came as a major shock to her. Who would've thought he'd gone through that much? He always remained so upbeat that it was difficult to imagine the life he lived before their family was born. She had the strong desire to hurry over to where he was, attach herself to him in a hug, and never let go. But she couldn't. The creature beside him prohibited her from trying to reach her Father.
"I don't hate you." She responded after a brief moment. "Dad, I could.. I could never hate you, you should know that. You're the guiding light of our family, the gentle hand on our backs that reminds us you're always there. There's no possible way I would hate you, none of us ever will." Her voice was shaky, mainly from trying to hold back the tears that threatened to spill from her eyes.
"You do so much to support all of us, you need to think of your well-being more often. And this," she gestured towards the creature beside him,"This wasn't a bad idea, Dad. And I really appreciate it. You were just trying to help me comprehend my ability more, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that." Angelique absentmindedly rubbed X's head, something she did to calm her nerves. "And everything's okay right now, no? I'm safe and fine, that creature hasn't hurt me. Meeting one another wasn't as much of a mistake as you would think."

((Cats LOL agreed!))((My cat gets upset when I prioritize feeding the fish before I feed him. xD))
Lyle inhaled deeply; he didn't want to speak of reality. He didn't want to recall any of it, and yet here he was crying into the arms of his eldest daughter, why? Was it because he didn't want her to feel so alone, or... was it because she just like all his daughters reminded him of his late wife. Each girl had a characteristic that reminded him that she lived on through all her girls. That should be assuring to him, right?
So why... Why was he so upset, and just opening himself like a book? Perhaps it was because enough had been enough. When he first encountered this clearing, that's when he knew this place would feel at home, it reminded him of a place he used to spend most of his days growing up, away from the house-his family, and certainly the hate that surrounded. The biggest issue was the hate held in the household. Phantom fed off their negativity, and instead of trying to support his troubles, they simply contributed more as the years went by.
"Y'know?" He gazed up feeling slightly relieved, "I forced myself to study growing up, to pursue my passion in college, and to get a full ride as far away from home, because I wanted to get away from it all. The hate that all my siblings put me through it was too much to bare. They didn't hide it, thus leaving a happy Phantom to feed off their souls over the long period of time. I didn't want them to die so young, so i forced myself to branch off away, to a new environment where.... where I wouldn't feel so hated." He sighed closing his eyes, as he welcomed the fresh breeze against his face. "Sure.. hate , fear, sorrow , and grief exist everywhere, but Phantom fed off it at a more normal pace, rather then continuously. Even in school people wouldn't hang out with me.... they just knew..." He tilted his head, "At least that's what I thought, until some fellow shadow users ratted me out through rumors. They used their abilities to single me out at a son of the fallen.... something like that..." He shook his head, "Unlike their abilities mine feeds off just plain negativity if given the chance.... so as soon as I got my credentials I skipped out and tried to run away. Yet... the results were always the same even when I got my masters and PHD..... "
He opened his eyes, with a few more tears rolling down his face, as his eyes now met Angelique's gaze, "So I taught abroad.... and met your mother as she was an exchange student visiting abroad, from here in the states. I helped her get her degree, and dropped my job abroad and returned to the states, with her. We wed, and the rest was history...we-well... until my father, and siblings crashed the wedding....." He sighed, "I invited my mother alone, she was so supportive, and she did come, but little did she realize that the rest of my family followed." He adjusted himself to lay on the grass, with his head against the wolf's body. "Our wedding was small, it was mainly her friends and family....her closest family. So that night didn't go as planned. My father objected to the wedding, and cried out I was a monster.... not worth her time and would just kill her later down the line..." He cuddled along the wolf, "My father in law... asked them to leave and that was that." He closed his eyes once more. "Then came the honey moon.... where my siblings have gathered who knows how many shadow users to show me my place. Your mother thought it was an act, until they forced me over the edge..... I protected her using Phantom... and boy was she terrified, for sure I thought she would leave me, but..." He paused tearing up again, "She walked right up to me and never let go.... what she said that night I will never forget..."Was
"Those who exercise their power to force a point are no better then the darkest of hearts..." He quoted.....
He paused inhaling deeply, feeling a lot more relieved then he had felt in years. Was this how happy he was, with her all this time? Was there more happiness to be gained from just telling the truth?
"I-I'm glad you aren't hurt..." He readjusted himself once more to sit upright. He felt a lot better, or at least that's what he was telling himself. "T-The issue is that you can't directly meet him in your state..." He frowned slightly, "For that-that I feel really guilty.."
((WOA I had too much fun with this.))

(Here for a bit ^^)
Anna began to shake her head, before spotting a box near the top of a stack with 'animals' scrawled across the side in Ro's handwriting. "Here is it, Roey." She said, taking the box down from the top. "Let's head back up to your room to unpack it.".
Becoming bored quickly after Ro left, Harriet had decided to leave their new room and track down another of her new siblings. Seeing as she had already spoken to Lawrence, her main objective was to find James, however she would settle for either. Going downstairs, she proceeded to poke her head into each room, searching for someone.

Ro hopped up and down happily. "Yay! Beary, don't worry I will set you free!" She went over to her mother, gripping onto the hem of her shirt as she bounched slightly. "Can you help me down, Mama?" she asked as she stopped bouncing and looked at the ground.

James had come downstairs after dropping his belongings in his new room. He watched casually as the movers brought in the couch his mom had brought with them, then collapsed onto it, kicking off his shoes and putting his feet up like he usually did, leaning back lazily and crossing his arms behind his head.

{{ my cat sits at the table if we don't feed him first. he sits and seethes. he likes to retaliate by reaching a paw towards our plates to touch our food. }}
Angelique held X closer to her as she continued to listen to her Father recall his past. She was sure that none of her sisters knew about it, and for that, she was glad. She was the more somber one of the family and could accept his history with slightly more ease than the bubbly Skylar. Speaking of her sister, she missed her terribly and required a much needed sister time when they somehow got home.
"The past made you into the wonderful person you are now." She said slowly, as if recollecting her thoughts as she spoke. It was clearly a lot to take in, and she would most likely have to think about it in a deeper fashion sometime later. "Whatever everyone else said, you proved them wrong. Your Father, the other people who have a similar ability; they all called you a monster and an abomination. But you showed them the complete opposite. A monster can't raise four daughters." A small smile graced her face as she glanced at him.
"And I appreciate that you brought me here, Dad. And I appreciate that you were trying to broaden the horizons of my ability, it means a lot. It's okay if I can't meet him yet." She shrugged,"I just have to strengthen my mindset and gain more control over my ability/ Anything that's a part of you is something I'm willing to love, no matter how much work I have to put in."

Lyle stood up feeling a lot lighter now, then he felt before. Mainly because most of his bubbled up frustrations were talked about again, it had been so long since he had talked to someone about this, and he couldn't just go up to Anna and tell her any of this. She might think he was insane. He shook his head with a sigh, "Right..." His expression regaining its cool chill act. He blinked several times to make sure the last of his tears were out and, but he would dunk his head in the falls anyways.
"Alright....." He approached her with a rather calming expression. In the background the wolf was tugging at his leg against his decision but he turned his head to assure the wolf that everything would would be alright. With that the wolf let go of his leg, and let itself flatly fall to the ground. The wolf deformed itself and took refuge as its owner's shadow.
"A-Anyways..." He approached Angelique placing a gentle hand around her shoulder, "Let's go home, pretend this never happened, and also make sure I get home, because there's a side effect to this and it may or may not result in me crashing.." He warned her with concern but mostly irony in his tone.

(Sounds fun ^^ maybe we could do that after they get settled in the new house.)
Anna nodded as she put the box down on the edge of the truck. "Of course," she said as she stepped off the truck, then reaching back to pick Ro up off the truck, placing her gently on the ground. Picking the box up again, she latched and locked the truck, before beginning to head back inside. I sure hope that pizza gets here soon, I couldn't imagine what the kids have been doing all this time...
As she poked her head into the living room, Harriet quickly spotted James on the couch. "Hello," she said as she jumped into one of the large chairs across from the couch, picking up the pillow under her and hugging it. She really was tired, but was too excited to go to bed until at least 9:30, maybe even later if Ro stayed up. Since it was a Saturday, too, she saw no reason why she would need to go to bed on time, aside fro maths fact that she would sleep late the next day. "Do you like the house?" She asked a second later, fiddling with a sequin on the pillow.

{{ just an idea~ and that show is my JAM ahhhh }}
She nodded her response, grateful to see that he wasn't in such a bad state as he was a few moments ago. "Yeah, I wouldn't mind some pizza right now." She admitted with a sheepish smile, getting up and stretching her legs. X jumped from her lap to the ground, beginning to walk in front of the duo back towards the area where they would be residing in. It didn't really like the new place, but if its favorite human was there, that was all that mattered.
After a moment's silence, Angelique turned towards her Father. "Y'know, if something like this bothers you again, you can tell me. I mean.. I might not understand really, but our abilities are somewhat similar..? So I could help calm you down, all of us can help calm you. Me and Harriet and Araya and Skylar. And when I get stronger, I'll try to assist your burden with the shadow that follows you around. If that's alright..?"
She fiddled with a strand of her hair, looking anywhere but at her Dad as she spoke. She was somewhat embarrassed as she talked, but she wanted to send the message across to him that he wasn't alone. That he didn't have to hold things in anymore. That he didn't have to carry his burdens by himself. He had his daughters for support.

"Pizza sounds good doesn't it? It should already be in the kitchen as I told Skylar to receive it." Lyle smiled cheerfully as he pulled her close. He was pretty relieved to see that not everything had gone so wrong yet at the same time he felt pathetic for acting in such a manor as he had. To him this was the last thing he wanted any of his daughters to see. There was nothing left yet to take back.
M-Memory wipe..... The thought slightly echoed into his thoughts, but he pushed it away. What's done is done and we wont be talking about this agaon... He exhaled calmly knowing that the storm has come yet to pass. When his daughter began to speak he blinked turning his attention over to her. "Hmm?" He responded as an indication that he was listening. Hearing her idea sounded really thoughtful and all, but the solution wasn't as easy as she would like it to be. In response he placed a hand on her hair, then messed with it again. A childlike smile on his face, "I appreciate it, but there isn't much you can do." He replied truthfully. "This second or third level..." His voice held now curiosity, it was plainly obvious that even he wasn't sure the level of aggressiveness. "It isn't that being calm is what I need to do.." He tried to really explain it as simply as possible, "It's the exact opposite, reacting in anything that isn't calmness, or happiness sets off this shadow. That's what it is, an embodiment of evil, as my mother would explain it to me. Yet this burden still confuses my mother to this day, usually higher level aggressive shadows only cling to those of the most shattered hearts; or those who have to put up with unbelievable crap... as some students tend to whine in class." He sighed , "Even if you wanted to help with the burden I couldn't be able to give it to you, the more aggressive they are the more they cling to you from the soul. Which really really sucks....it's almost like they don't want you to die, like your forced life support." He tilted his head slightly annoyed at the thought. "A-Anyways you just focus on mastering your ability, okay?" He now bent forward with his head meeting her gaze. "Feel free to talk to your sisters about this, there's no use really pretending it didn't happen.." He lastly admitted then waved an assuring finger, "Seriously, don't worry much about me, unless you really drive me over the fence, then I might accidentally kill everyone." He sarcastically stated it with a wide grin. He didn't mean it, but it was possible. H-Hopefully she'll go home think this over and realize that maybe this change was for more reasons then one....
"O-Oh yea!" He stood back upright and retreated his hand away from her hair, "Does X hate me? Like seriously hate me, now that we're on the topic?" He smiled. Once she clears up her head and realizes everything through some deep thinking... she will probably realize that her lying to me just aggravates the thing below my feet...oh joy..... he sarcastically thought.

She frowned when he messed up her hair, throwing her hands up to her head in protest. She shot him a childish glare, a pout on her lips as she huffed and tried to fix it. "I just want to help." She mumbled sheepishly, shrugging her shoulders in a nonchalant manner. She stuck her tongue out at him in a joking manner, her stubbornness wouldn't listen to him denying her help. That didn't sit right with her. They were a family, and family helped one another. She'll find a way, she knew she would. Angelique didn't know how, exactly, but she had the time to figure it out.
At her Father's question, she tilted her head, as if confused. "X doesn't hate any of you. It's learned how to deal with Skylar since we room together, and it views Harriet and Araya in a fond manner. It doesn't mind you, to be quite honest. It calls you my ancestor, which is old fashioned in a way. The only people he doesn't regard with kindness is the new members of the other family." She shrugged. "X was always slightly wary of you, but now both it and I understand why you have that weird aura around you, so it'll be okay. I've told it to protect all of you if something bad were to happen." She looked up at her Father, a small smile on her face.

I poofed sorry]
Ro beamed at her mother and hopped around as her mother locked up the truck. "Mama," she began as she walked back with Anna, "where is the food?" Ro began to grow hungry and she ran inside when they got close. She jumped onto the couch and bounced a bit as she waited for her mother to come inside as well.

"Ha-Ha..." Lyle couldn't help but just break into laughter.. "I appreciate it greatly, I really do, but how can you help me if you still have a lot to learn yourself." He pat her on the back. "While mine is slightly more-" He obvious simplified it, "-more agressive, it doesn't mean I haven't been able to practice what you been doing. Two different forms but all one similar line of abilities." He explained, "For that reason if you get stuck somewhere just ask." He was obviously pushing the topic in a new direction.
"A-Ancestor?" Lyle raised a questionable brow, "I-I know I'm old , but not even a fraction of that old." He leaned slightly back at the thought, "Yet that kinda has a cool ring to it. I should tell my students to not call me Doctor and instead call me ancestor since it is a history class after all." He jokingly added. "Y-Yet I'm glad to hear that X is okay with us, I truly am. I always wondered, just wondered how much it hated us or me...in particular for being so harsh on you. Then again i'm not being harsh because I want to but because I feel the need that you can be so much more if pushed in the right direction." He stopped looking out to see the house up ahead.
He leaned in forward to whisper, "Phantom doesn't like anyone...on a personal level..." He admitted with a sigh, "That's mainly because it sees the world through the perspective of negativity, the only person er-hem people it grew fond to was your mother and grandmother. They welcomed it into their lives and for that I will be forever grateful. However, I'm hoping that over time we can change its perspective of everyone, even our new half of the family. I only tell you this because I wasn't joking about earlier, it will kill everyone, should it be allowed to do so." He sighed then shook his head with a smile still on his face, "It loves to communicate, but I'd advice you not to, for its fear aura might do you more harm. Let me know when you feel ready and i'll make preparations, k?"

"I'll get there." She muttered grumpily, "I'm only sixteen so I have lots of time to learn new things." Angelique shrugged, looking up to see X far ahead. It was sitting on the porch steps, waiting. It was almost if it was telling the both of them they were too slow for their own good. "And if I have more questions, I'll just bother you with him." She grinned, her face lit up with the idea. Knowledge about her ability was something she craved. She craved it deep in her bones, deep in her heart and deep in her soul.
"Yeah, ancestor. If it makes you feel better, X calls me its favorite human." She mused, her eyes alight with humor. "I've asked it before if it wanted another named besides X but it told me it suits him just fine." She looked back at the cat shape and then at her Father again. "I think the other kids believe we have a cat too." Angelique muttered, a sheepish expression on her face again.
At the mention of communicating with Phantom, her mood brightened. "Really? Yeah, sometime sounds okay. I'll just practice my abilities more beforehand, though. I want to strengthen my mental state too, but that doesn't seem like a bad idea." The new place he had shown her seemed like it would grow to become her new hiding spot. She'd go there when her emotions were growing excessive and her abilities were threatening to take over.

Lyle gave her a sly smile, "Best of luck deary, you'll be great. I know you will." His voice held hope for her future, it would be rough but he knew that she could pull it off. "Feel free to bother me, that's my job as a mentor to be here for all my students when they need it most." He grinned with a quick wink. It was really what he needed, just to see her motivated more to discover more about her ability, he knew there was more but he wasn't going to hand her a game shark either.
"A-Ah don't worry about the cat. I'll just explain that it's a stray we sorta adopted recently." He added with the finger symbol for "okay!"
Lastly he turned away slightly at her brightened mood. She didn't mind her communicating with shadows, but Phantom was seriously the last thing he wanted to share. However, he wanted to prove to Phantom that life up to this point has been worth living, so he would be willing to open it up to her if she could handle it. "Alright the pizza guy is on the other side." He told her as he tapped his foot lightly on the ground, it was basically Phantom telling him what was on the other side. "Alright I'll see you in a bit, wash up k?" He smiled.
With that he kissed her lightly on the head and rushed off.

"X doesn't really look like a cat." She mumbled, watching him walk away . She hugged herself tightly before going upstairs once more, taking the stairs two at a time. X had raced her up the steps and was already heading into her and Skylar's room. The thought of it being theirs made a smile light up her face as she stepped inside. Throwing her back down on the floor, she scooped X into her arms before heading to the bathroom to wash her hands.
The discussion she previously had with her Father continued to resonate within her. Angelique made a vow to herself to push her limits and see how much she could improve her ability for the next few weeks. There were so many things she could do with her ability, she just didn't know how to yet. First things first, she had to strengthen her mindset. That much was certain.
Splashing X with some of the water and earning a yowl in response, she sighed happily. The day didn't end so bad, despite the circumstances that happened a few moments ago.

Lyle had gotten the pizza, and drinks with a cheerful smile, then he let the man go with a smile. With the pizza he now walked into the house whistling with a cheerful tone approaching the kitchen. Once in the kitchen he placed the three boxes down and the drinks on the counter. With a rather calming expression, he leaned against the counter taking in a rather relaxing breath. Home at last.....

Anna smoothed Ro's hair, before looking over as she spotted the pizza man, who must've come to the door while they were in the truck, leaving the house. "I believe it's just got here, sweetie." She said, entering the house and feeling her own stomach grumble when she smelled the food. "Why don't you go ahead into the dining room and help...your father set up the table, I'll get Beary and bring him down to you." She told Ro, debating what to call Lyle at that point.
Hearing the pizza man at the door, Araya hurried back downstairs to eat. She barely had lunch, so at this point she thought she must be near starvation. Running into the kitchen, she gave her father a quick smile before beginning to look in each cabinet, before realizing they were all empty. "Dad, where're the plates?" she asked, sulking back over to him and the pizza.
