As she listened, Angelique's curiosity only intensified. He acted as if he didn't know who else had a similar ability to hers and she swallowed down the disappointment lodged in her throat. It wasn't him, was it? Still, knowing that someone else that knew what she was going through was a comfort. She wasn't alone. "That's interesting, I guess." She muttered, furrowing her brow as she looked up from her boots to look into her Father's eyes as he faced her. They seemed to glow in the murky woods that surrounded them. Knowing that her eyes mirrored his, she looked away from his gaze as he revealed to her what the surprise was. "Skylar's gonna love it." She grinned, taking a step closer and peering around the area. At the mention of a clearing with no sun, her spirits lifted. "Really? Dad, that's amazing. Really." She called over her shoulder, sincerity taking its hold in her tone. X sniffed at the ground, wary. It turned towards Angelique to notice she had gone still. It rambled over to its favorite human, concerned. It had detected a numerous amount of unstable shadows in the area. It could take them down and force them to submit, but only by Angelique's command. It nudged its snout in her hand and she responded by gently petting it, looking down at the creature. 'I'm okay' her actions seemed to tell it. She had noticed the whispers in her ears, the begging and the pleading for her to respond to them. She kept her mouth shut about it, following after her Father. They'd go away eventually, growing tired of the cold shoulder she was giving them. "Can we check the clearing?"

"Like I said you are not alone." His tone held assurance with its creamy softness that mellowed his excitement. He was mainly excited because she agreed that her sister would like it. "Also-if there is something troubling you ,ask me first, ok?" He winked with a childlike smile now on his face. His attention now turned from the falls, towards the direction if the clearing. that was mainly why he wanted to accompany her, to give her a place to exercise her power that way it wouldn't build up. He turned around then jumped on a near by rock for brief moment to stare at the water, yet it was to mainly hide his sudden change in expression as he felt a cold hand brush against his side. N-No... not tonight... He inhaled the water calmly to keep himself rather calm; once he felt completely secure of himself he turned back around to face his daughter, then jumped down the rock. "Let's go see.this clearing, shall we?" He encouraged her with a light shove.

"I know, Dad." She grumbled, hearing this small lecture many times before. It was comforting to know that he was always there for his children, no matter how much he stuck his nose into their business. He was the kind of support they needed, especially in the past. Angelique adjusted the sleeves of her sweater and pulled them further down her arms. She didn't like it when the shadows would come towards her and ask to communicate. Their touches against her skin left her feeling cold and hollow. It wasn't similar to the way she felt when she held X, seeing as how it was her companion. Almost as if it sensed she was thinking about it, X nudged Angelique forwards after her Father, noticing how slower her steps had gotten. It made a small "mrrp?" noise, the razor teeth located in its mouth glinting in the moonlight. "I'm going, don't rush me." She grumbled to both it and her Father, following him down the rock. She had noticed a slight change in his emotion before, when he stopped on the same rock she was standing. His body had gone rigid and she opened her mouth to say something about it before instantly snapping her mouth shut. "Yes please." She hummed when he question her about seeing the clearing, sticking her to gi at him childishly as he pushed her.

Lyle snapped his fingers in agreement to her grumble, "Now that's what I love about you girls. You are all alive, and annoyed with me. It's my way of knowing that we meet eye to eye." He continued walking , as he reached the clearing he began to slow down his pace. His heart pounded more, and to an extent he felt like something was dragging him down, but he refused to drop his encouraging expression to show it. He distracted himself by gazing out at the wildlife, listen ing towards the crickets chirping and water rushing behind them. He herd X speak to Angel, he couldn't help but wonder what those two talked about sometimes. Yet as long as it wasn't anything bad he would allow it. Count on it, he would interfere and show it it's place if needed. Yet up to this point X abided by the house rules; and he would continue to respect x as long as it protected his sweet girl. He smiled at the sight of the clearing, it was easy to tell because it was the darkest of them all. Then he recalled the lo g patchy grass and thought it would be quite good way for him to stabilize himself from the force pushing him down. "We're here!" He explained in joy, then turned to face his daughter as he platformed himself on his toes, to slide backwards. "Hope you like it, cause I sure do." He smiled and slid right into the center of the clearing. Once in the center he let himself fall backwards into the large patch of grass, to relax.

Angelique hummed her affirmative response as she followed her Father. Upon entering the clearing, her eyes widened with surprise. "Dad.. It's amazing." She mumbled in disbelief, her eyes widening as they took in all the sights around her. It was tranquil and had a hazy atmosphere, something she enjoyed greatly. X pranced through the clearing, sniffing at a few spots in the grass and some of the surrounding trees, peering into the darkening forest. She walked to where her Father sat and placed herself beside him, sitting cross-legged. Once X was satisfied with its scanning of the perimeter, it wandered over to where its favorite human was and placed its head in her lap, wrapping its tail around her waist. Absentmindedly rubbing X's head, she looked up at the sky, noticing the outlines of the trees overlapping. "Where did you even find the time to look for this place..?" She questioned in wonder.

Lyle closed his eyes to take in the sounds of the forest. He paid close attention to all nearby movement , especially X who seemed very excited. "Amazing indeed." He agreed with a calming tone. He felt relieved to be flat on the ground resting after carrying what felt to be a heavy force against his back. "I've been here a few times since we bought the house." He explained. "I found the falls for slylar, this dark clearing for you, a flower meadow not too far from here for Harriet, and a gorgeous sunset, and sunrise spot for Araya." He explained. "I didn't find all these places in one trip though, I did multiple trips while working on the house. It was mainly during my breaks that i ventured out to find these spots for all of you." He turned his head to meet her enjoying gaze. "I said we would work this out, and if it means finding each of you a spot to feel secure in during times of panic, or times you feel the need to be alone, then I'll do what I must." His tone held thoughtfulness, and passion just at the thought of making each of them happy. "Well? What are you waiting for? Let it out and be yourself." He lightly pinched her along the shoulder.

(Hey guys sorry I haven't been on all day ^^ also tomorrow I'm leaving on a road trip and won't be back until Thursday, so during that time my replies may be short and quick.)
Anna followed Ro downstairs and out to the driveway, taking the key to their moving van from her pocket to unlock the back. As she pulled the door open, she looked in at all the remaining boxes, wondering briefly if they would be able to finish the job tomorrow. Picking Ro up and putting her just inside the truck, Anna stepped up into and began looking around. "Be careful with the high stacks, Honey, and don't tug any of the bottom boxes..." She warned Ro as she began looking for any box with the appropriate label.

{{ ooh!! have fun! c: }}
"I really appreciate it." She murmured, her voice thick with emotion. "The other will love it as much as I do, I'm 100% sure they will." Her voice was reassuring and she leaned her back against his, still petting X. Her Father sacrificed everything for her and her sisters. If this new family, if his new love interest brought him some happiness, shouldn't Angelique and her sisters try to adapt to the new changes? To be completely honest, she had no desire to accept them into her life. She had to hide her ability around them and Angelique utterly despised hiding who she was. But that was why her Father searched hard for these places for her and her sister, right? They owed him that much.
She was brought out of her thoughts when Dad pinched her shoulder, telling her to let her power loose. Right, that's why they were here, right? She let out a yelp of surprise at the pinch and rubbed at it, cursing at him under her breath in Russian. X looked up lazily at her yelp before placing its head back in her lap. False alarm.
Exhaling slowly, Angelique opened her mind to the voices that had been prodding at her and the frigid hands that were grabbing at her. All at once, a flood of voices entered her head and she furrowed her brow, closing her eyes in concentration. Picking a softer, gentle voice out of the crowd, Angelique smiled at the soft aura in her mind, coaxing it forwards until a blob appeared in front of her. X stared up at it uncertainly, sniffing at it before deeming it too weak to cause harm. Opening her eyes and holding out a finger, the blob morphed into some sort of bird and settled itself on the placement given to it. Her ability wasn't just creating forms for shadows. However, this was something that she wanted to practice. This was something that didn't cause any harm, unless she wanted a shadow to morph into something dangerous for her protection.

Lyle smiled, with a small laugh; despite keeping his eyes closed as he grazed upon the grass. He pretended to ignore his daughters swearing, while he continued to enjoy the wildlife before them. Between himself, this clearing would not only benefit her, but himself when he really needed to just relax and remind himself why he believes strongly in his cause. The clearing wasn't too far from the waterfall either, so the sound of pouring water, and the natural forest life was more then soothing. It was a lovely sigh too, so the walk would provide that extra sense of peace and prosperity. This entire change was hard for all of them, and he understood. Yet he would continue to cling onto hope, that over time everyone would come together to respect one another as one big happy family. For now it was all about patience.
"Y'know, my mother-your grandmother..." He corrected. "Always told me that what we view as darkness, has sound to it to. Just like the sounds we hear before us; shadows too can create a beautiful melody if composed correctly." He continued to keep his eyes closed; this way he wouldn't draw any attention to himself among the approaching shadows. "I asked her once what she meant by composed correctly.. Her response? Well she told me to imagine a song not just it being played but the tone it follows. If I'm in a good mood, the shadows all shadows in range will manifest as creatures we expect during the times of prosperity. Should the tone take a directly gloomy tune, then leaves will cover the ground, as will bats, and vultures hover the skies. Then if you were angry; any aggressive form of manifestation will take place and listen to your tune." He explained, "However- the best conductor for this type of show was always the heart in each and every one of us. To be honest, these shadows before us, manifest to the tone of the heart of anyone. It's just that people like you, are some of the few that can bring them to the physical world." He explained with a smile on his face.

Ro nodded at her mother's words and began to look around for the boxes that looked like hers. "Beary, where are you?" she asked as if the stuffed bear could respond. She went from stack to stack looking all around in search for the one with her toys. "Mama, have you found him yet?" Ro went over to a stack near her mother and read over the different labels on the boxes.

{{ okay, that was DEEEEEEP }}
"You should be a poet." She commented when he finished speaking, breaking her concentration from the shadow in front of her. Immediately, it vanished in a wisp of smoke. Angelique looked at her empty finger and frowned, retracting it back to dragging her nails lazily on X's head. The other shadows were still whispering in her mind, the noises colliding and collapsing on one another, blending together into a giant mass of sound. She learned to block it out, of course. And that's what she just did. If not, she'd be suffering from headaches nonstop. She could see the shadows too. They were waiting at the edge of the clearing, their boneless forms gazing at them in the middle of the grass. She twirled a wave of her hair around her finger, biting her lip anxiously. All she had really practiced was giving the shadows some sort of form. She never tried anything different with them yet. Once, she tried. Angelique wanted to see what else her ability could do, she thirsted for further knowledge on her ability. She snuck out of their house one night to sit on the lawn and practice. X was still around during this time, but he did not have the strength that he has now. But as soon as she tried to communicate with a shadow, everything turned dark. She woke up, shivering, on the grass and ran inside. She wasn't too sure on what happened, and didn't mention it to anyone.

"Here..." He opened his eyes and sat up, then scooted himself closer to her and placed his hand on hers. "Just relax okay, let me show you what I mean.." He spoke in a mellow tone. "Just concentrate on a happy moment, or anything that makes you happy, and I'll hum a melody, we'll do this together okay?" He instructed firmly. "I wont manipulate your hand movements, I'll simply follow, and give you that physical sound of what I mean." He explained. "If it starts to be to much, then that's okay I'm here alright? Nothing bad will take advantage of your peace of mind while I'm alongside you, always.." He lastly assured her, his hand softly grasping hers, "Now do what you've done, and I'll compose your light.." With that Lyle began to hum an instrumental melody by which he would often practice on his violin. He wanted to show her that there was more possibility to her ability, while keeping his end at bay. Phantom... three clearings out, and make sure, nothing gets in.....

{{ that's amazing ;; and sorry for the disappearance, i was watching a good movie, ahhh }}
Angelique gratefully accepted his hand on top of hers, his skin warm to the touch, unlike hers. X glanced at the sudden removal of her hand from its head and huffed in discomfort before nuzzling her leg and resuming his nap. "A happy moment, huh?" She mused, mainly to herself. Anytime her family was together was a happy time for her. They could be doing the simplest of things, like watching a movie, and her heart would swell with such affection for all of them. Happy moment, happy moment, what was the best moment she experienced with her family? There was so many.. Suddenly, she got it. It was a dreary winter morning and heir classes were cancelled due to a sudden snowstorm. Her younger siblings had cheerfully bounced in their Father's bed, announcing the news and deciding it was time for a special breakfast, pancakes and french toast. She remembered sitting at their old kitchen table beside Skylar, seeing Harriet and Araya prodding their Dad on when the pancakes were ready. There was mix everywhere and despite the moment was an utter mess, it was beautiful. As she thought back to that time, her breathing evened to his humming and her body relaxed from its stiff posture. The shadows began to draw towards her, as if they were being sucked in by a vacuum. They began to form into a ball in front of her and her face tensed in concentration, the pressure from her current action beginning to become too much to handle.

((Ah no worries! I'm actually cleaning out the bookshelves! Throwing out obsolete content, with content I stuff in throughout the spring/summer semester. That way I can make room for new school supplies that will be obliterated by December. >D ))
Lyle was humming to her hand swaying, he allowed her to manipulate his tempo, and for her thoughts to radiate out. Good...She's a natural, when it comes to a small push in the right direction.... He now couldn't help but wonder what was making her very happy, he didn't want to ask because that would disturb her concentration. Maybe when she was more proficient at this , they would be able to have a conversation while she exercised her ability, yet for now that wasn't the time. Just give it time... all will be well.... He now thought back to some of the times he and the girls enjoyed their adventures throughout the weekends. No matter how small of an activity, they would always make the best of it. Now sure.. at the time that the girls were growing up, they would land themselves in a situation where they HAD to leave early, because one of the girls did something with their abilities, but he enjoyed every moment of it. From the smallest mistakes to the moments they shared, just like this. He glanced around seeing the energies manifesting, though at first just approaching he could see the smallest signs of them taking form of small wildlife. This was good, though hardly noticeable it meant good process; really good process. It would only be a mater of time before she would be able to pull this off too. Their mother would have been very proud of them- He felt a shock of discomfort pulse right through him. This was bad..... Quickly he gazed out to see if anything massive or life threatening was approaching. N-No.... Phantom didn't let anything in that bad..... His attention turned next to X whom was napping. No threats... so why.... why is this a bad feeling.... He continued to hum the tune, leaning forward to see Angelique's expression. She's tensed.... alright that's not good... this isn't supposed to be tensing her then again it's her first time trying this....If I shock her out of this it might scare her, either that or she'll panic. Then there's...... the last option, but if she opens her eyes.... if she does that.... then it might feed off her fear regardless....what other option do I have- He ended the tune, with a long note being held out before moving in closer towards Angelique. He carefully placed his second hand on her hand; with both hands on her hand he quickly switched hands. Now with his free hand he wrapped his free arm around her shoulders and pulled her in close. "X sit on both of our laps, wont you please?" He encouraged softly, then rested his chin on Angelique's head. "Sweety... don't stop concentrating okay? Promise me one thing, you wont open your eyes until I tell you to, okay..... for my sake and yours continue to recall your happy memory and as I said do not open your eyes. Lastly-tell me when it doesn't feel so hard to handle anymore,okay?" He voice was mellow, but held a strictness to his tone. His attention turned towards a clearing far off, it was too dark to really see farther out, but he knew it was coming....
In the background approached a menacing shadow, it hovered along the forest floor, dragging all the approaching energies out of the clearing. This shadow appeared on the floor rather distorted because of the awkward lighting that penetrated through the overlapping trees. It carried a very unpleasant aurora, that would make anyone nearby shiver. If looked upon, its aurora would emit fear to anything that stared at it. The shadow continued to circulate the clearing, dragging all wandering souls into who knows where, at least until the girl had given any sign of relief from her built up pressure.

{{ i honestly thought i was the only one who ran out of supplies so early. i'm like a supply-eating machine, it's that bad }}
She distantly heard his voice, as if it was background noise. She had considered it being a hallucination from one of the shadows, who knew what they could to do upset her mental state. She shook that thought away, it sounded like her Father. They couldn't mimic his voice that well, could they? She felt a sudden warmth against her body and leaned into the touch. It definitely wasn't X, so it had to be her Dad.
Concentrating on what he told her, she continue to relive the memory of her sisters' breakfast disaster. Araya had pancake batter in her hair. How? Angelique had no clue. She was pretty sure that there had been batter on the ceiling. She remembered the warmth that filled her chest as she surveyed the happy scene. The aura in the kitchen that morning was full of good cheer, she had the desire to suck it all in a bottle so she could keep it forever.
X lifted its head up when its favorite human's ancestor addressed it. Raising its snout and sniffing the air, it stood up from its comfortable spot on its favorite human before peering into the hazy night. There was something out there, something it did not appreciate its presence. It moved over and settled itself between its favorite human and its ancestor, a soft huff escaping its mouth. It would protect them to the end, it decided after shaking out its mane.

((LOL Nah, join the club. >.<' )) ((Then again I have a younger brother who is still learning the meaning of recycling his pencils. He tends to loose those REALLY easily. Me on the other hand, it'll be finals, and I'l running out of lead. Why? Cause my brother... so like always between finals I'm buying a new lead cap, or pencil in general. I swear, my brother dives into my bag after scavenging the entire house. He's always like "Oh yea she has some!" ))
"Relax Angelique just relax, and know that we are both here by your side, always." Lyle assured her. His gaze usually soft had grown rather series, keeping an eye on the shadow circulating the clearing. To him this was nothing more then a shadow, for he had grown used to its menacing aurora, yet to anyone who had never encountered it; it was the feeling of death if encountered directly. It was the second form of an shadow, something by which he always had frustrations for growing up; growing up was rough now that he thought about it. His parents were always afraid for him getting himself killed at a young age, and yet he didn't. He shifted his attention over to X trying to keep his own thoughts at bay.
There wasn't so many wandering spirits left in the clearing. Those that were stubborn were taken without a trace, those with a little bit of a backbone; deserted their original desires and fled far away. The menacing shadow once circulating the clearing began to leave itself, knowing that its orders were as given. As it fled, the once uncomfortable aurora was no longer present; completely gone.
"How ya feeling?" Lyle smiled, trying to keep a calm expression, but his face was broken into concern for the well being of his daughter. His voice usually calm was nearly tearing up, there was tears rolling down his face; towards the fact that he almost overloaded his daughter himself. Trying to do good... I nearly harmed her more....m-maybe it's time I give her answers. S-She's old enough, r-right?

Her face began to relieve itself of the tension that had previously gathered there. The pressure that was pounding itself against her head had begun to subside until it was just a mere throb. She guessed that it would go away soon enough. She was warm and completed, the feeling of her family still fresh in her mind. She had felt a small shiver run down her spine, but it was for a split second and she deemed it to be harmless.
Angelique might've kept her eyes closed and enjoyed the warm presence that her Father gave her until she noticed the slight change in his tone of voice. Slowly opening her eyes, she squinted at him before rubbing at them. Upon noticing the tears on his face, she stopped what she was doing before moving one of them away. "Hey. Hey, Dad? Dad? What's wrong? Did I hurt you? Please tell me I didn't hurt you." She pleaded, utterly concerned. Her Father was rather cheerful and seeing him in this state was a rarity.
X was satisfied at the disappearance of the unknown shadow and it rested its giant, fuzzy head on Angelique's lap again as she held her Father's hands tightly in hers. It huffed, that meant no more scratches.

(College is the most common place to loose/find new pencils all the time. Like seriously one person is like , "I lost my pencil.." another person is like, "oh hey, a pencil!")
Lyle shook his head slowly, "No deary you didn't hurt me." He assured her, with relief filling his voice. Yet his expression remained concerned. "I-I shouldn't have pushed you like I did.... instead I did push you and almost got you hurt in the process." Tears continued to roll down his face. "Dont you ever once think that you hurt me. Your ability is a blessing, something that your grandmother wished for everyone in the family to have, rather then the second form which feeds off fear." He added. "Don't let this little mishap close our moments together, because as I assure you never once hurt me, if anything it was me who-" he blinked realizing he was repeating himself, he was worried and concerned but as nice as this was he had to quickly calm himself down, because this clearing had nearly no light, well actually the entire landscape hardly had any light because it was nightfall. Right... it's still in the area.... seeking prey... if I don't calm down then it will physically appear, and that's the last thing I want her to see... Yet the more he tried to calm down, the more horrified he grew. It wasn't just emotions from the current events, it was mixed emotions of events of the past by which he held in to himself. Lyle stop it... snap out of it...n-Now is not the time for this.... n-no.....please... not in front of her ..... I-I need to snap myself back to normal....but Icant... . He was unable to retrieve his cool mellow side, so as a result he pulled her in closer. After holding in his own frustrations for who knows how long, he was having a mental break down. "I'm s-so sorry for.... w-what is about to happen..." He forced out an apology as he continued to release his rather emotional side to no end.

This was new to her. She had never seen him act like this at least once in her life. He was so upbeat and positive about every little aspect of their lives and she never stopped to consider the other emotions he had. What kind of daughter was she? She was one of the oldest. She was supposed to act more adult-like than the rest. She should've looked after him, the way he looked after all of them. X, noticing the discomfort, removed himself from its favorite human's lap. There was too much emotion going for it. Instead, it scooted a few feet away and lay on its stomach, watching the perimeter. Something wasn't settling right with it, and it would rather disappear than fail to protect its favorite human and her ancestor. "Dad? Hey, hey, it's okay. You didn't push me that much, okay? I'm safe, you didn't hurt me. I'm right here, I'm just fine. You were trying to help and it was working. It's okay." She soothed, her voice soft. She didn't know what to really do in these situations, but she'd try her hardest to help him. After all, he sacrificed everything for his children. She placed her forehead against his, grabbing his face to stare into hers. "Can you breathe along with me, Dad?" She questioned. She then proceeded to inhale and exhale slowly, as if telling him to mimic her motions.
{{ exactly! I seem to lose them more than I can find them though }}
