Introduction: Before Horizonclan was made, there were two other clans, Duskclan and Dawnclan.The two were located in a thick, lush forest and fighting over prey was common. Eventually, it became unbearable for the clans as twolegs began to tear down their precious home. Both clans were forced to set out on a long and harsh journey to find a new home. Along the way, the clans lost many cats and even the leader of Duskclan lost his final life. This caused for a great deal of panic amongst the cats as they worried if they’d even make it to their new home that was said ‘to lie on the horizon, where the clans, like the sun, could rise again’. The Dawnclan leader realized there was only one way the clans would be able to continue. The leader declared that Duskclan and Dawnclan were no more and that new territory meant that the clans would also start anew. From now on, there was only one clan, Horizonclan.
The newly formed clan eventually reached their destined home. It was in a thick forest near the sea and the clan has now lived there for many generations. They continue to prosper as one not two.
Rules :
- Activity - I know life gets busy, especially since school is starting right now, but please try to be somewhat active. This is especially important for those who choose higher positions (deputy, medicine cat, med. cat apprentice). If you’re inactive for over two weeks without any notice or heads up, you will be deleted.
- Characters - This one is long but important. Please no perfect characters. Everyone has flaws so be sure to include them! No godmodding or spotlighting. Be sure to ask permission before killing or controlling another person’s character. Also please make your character’s kind of realistic. I don’t want any pink furred cats running around or winged characters flying in.
- Literacy - This means no one-liners or text talk in the roleplay. I won’t require a full paragraph but really try to keep from replying with one-liners.
- Connections - I encourage you, when you join, to make connections with other people’s characters. I don’t necessarily mean mates/crushes but maybe as close friends or family members. Just be sure to ask that person first!
- Plots - All big plot ideas must be run by me for approval. I like brainstorming with everyone but things can get hectic if one person decides the clan is suddenly starving and another decides that badgers are attacking. Small side plots, like romance, small fights, etc. don’t need my approval.
- Be kind and have fun! - Seriously!

The Territory :Horizonclan is situated in a dense forest that rests near the ocean. Large cliffs and rocky terrain separates the clan from the ocean and is also effective at keeping most twolegs out as well. There are small streams of fresh water that can be located throughout the territory.
- Training Cove - It’s a small hallow located near the ocean. Large rocks keep it hidden from most threats and the soft sand makes it a perfect place to practice battle moves and train.
- The Streaming Forest - This section of the forest is known for the large stream of fresh water that cuts through it. It is made up largely of alder and oak trees. A great hunting spot.
- Sunset Cliffs - It’s the highest point of the territory and overlooking the ocean. Quite a beautiful view. The forest thins out into a small meadow around these cliffs. It’s also known for having quite a few different herbs nearby.
- Gleaming Cave - This cave is located outside of Horizonclan territory. It’s a day’s journey down the oceanside and is a small cave located on a cliffside. It has a small pool of sea water at the center. This is where cats go to speak with Starclan.
- Rogue Territory - One of the borders of Horizonclan located on the Southern side. This is were rogues and loners are usually living. It’s a large, more open part of the forest filled with thin trees and large bushes.
- Twoleg Place - There’s a large twoleg place to the east of Horizonclan territory. It’s a tourist spot and is usually swarming with life. Cats generally stay clear of this place.
The Camp :
The camp is located in the middle of the forest in a cluster of three large trees and several boulders. Thick thorn bushes line the camp entrance. The dens are made from strong branches, leaves and sturdy stones. The warriors den is located closest to the camp entrance while the nursery and elder’s den is the furthest. The medicine cat den is at the base of the biggest boulder that makes up the camp and has a small stream of water at the very back. This boulder is also known as the sky boulder and is where clan meetings are held. The leader’s den is located in the tree next to the sky boulder, where the middle was left hallowed out.

Current Plot :The poll is in and so we will be doing an inner clan conflict plot! I have a few ideas listed below that you can choose from. However, if you have an idea feel free to select the ‘Other’ option on the new poll and PM your idea!
Strangers Disrupt the Clan : Horizonclan would be visited by strange, traveling cats. These cats have very different beliefs than the clan and one in particular might just challenge the clan’s very structure as well as it’s leadership. Some clan cats would be swayed by these new ideas while others find them to be threatening clan-life. The cats will turn clan-mate against clan-mate. Will the clan be able to hold on as it is split into factions?
The Dark Forest Emerges : A few dark forest cats begin to pop up into the dreams of a certain handful of Clan cats. They claim they are Starclan and that these cats need to listen to them if they want their clan to survive. These cats are lead astray and begin to plan an attack against Oakstar and those that are deemed as his followers. Will they be able to realize the truth before they do something they regret?
This Is Mutiny : A small group of clan cats dislike the current openness the clan and it’s leader have. These cats believe that the clan is going soft and isn’t as powerful as it could be. They’ve been planning and scheming for a while now for an attack on the clan. Finally the day has come for their plan to see the light of day. Some clan cats are now prisoners in their own camp and other cats have been driven off, including Oakstar. Will the clan be able to reclaim what was once theirs?

The Clan :Leader :Oakstar || 45 moons || Leader || A large, muscular tom. He has a brown tabby pelt and dark green eyes. His right ear is missing a small piece and he has a scar that runs across the bridge of his nose. He is hard-working to the point where he finds it difficult to relax. He is friendly but very defensive of his clan. Oakstar usually doesn’t start fights but he sure isn’t afraid to jump into one. He’s a skilled fighter and can be quite cold when facing enemies. Oakstar isn’t one who forgives and forgets easily. Brother is Ashlight. [brambleflight]

Cedarwing is a tall fawn tabby tom, with pale green eyes, sleek, long fur, and a whiter pattern around his eyes, muzzle, neck, chest, and belly. He has a tail that fades to white towards the tip and his tabby markings are a bit faint. Cedarwing is a cautious tom cat, often coming across as quiet and nervous. He is very careful with everything, and very obsessive with order and neatness and following the code. He is also kind, and will offer help to whoever needs it, even if it's not in his best interests. Cedarwing can be snappish when confused or when there's too much going on and once, or if things are too disorganized. He loves spending time with others just sitting and talking for hours and can be easily distracted. Cedarwing was born to a HorizonClan she-cat, named Emberblossom, and a kittypet tom, called George. He and his sisters, Softspeck and Primrosewillow, where raised in the clan, only meeting their father a few times near the border as his mother took them to visit him. However, when they where 10 months, Emberblossom was injured in an accident and had a twisted leg. George found out and insisted she see his twoleg vet, and afterwards she became a kittypet called Ember. Cedarwing and his sisters still love their parents, but all three prefer to avoid talking of their kittypet relatives for fear of being judged harshly. Paledream is a diluted tortoiseshell she-cat, almost of her coloring is a pale cream color, she is mostly light oranges browns and whites. On her back there are three small patches the fit together in a line, being pure white in color. Her eyes are a very harsh blue, the look even more intense thanks to the darker brown that covered her eyelids. Paledream is a soft cat, always has been gentle and motherly. If patience was a cat it would be her. She is seen as motherly, and in all honesty thinks of herself that way as well, only with the whole clan. She cares deeply for her clan and will do her best even if it kills her. She has been known to run into battles to grab the cats who are bleeding out. She isn't the medicine cat sit in camp and wait to heal her clanmates. She has very little fighting skills but is good at her job. She is clan born and was always different from her sister Cherryfrost. As a kit she almost died when she went into the medicine cat den to try the herbs that smelled good. Moonpaw is a pristine black shecat with darker cloud shape patterns in her pelt she has a long fluffy tail and big ears that look like a lynx with the fluff on top also she is blind with pure blue eyes. But there is something even more extraordinary about this shecat, She has a very sensitive nose due to her no sight, she could track a scent for miles and never lose it. But she has a fire tongue, as an apprentice she was made fun of for being blind by alot of the warriors. Having been born in the clan she was the only kit in the well known Nightgaze, a powerful and beautiful shecat warrior who sadly died from an infection soon after the birth of her sickly shekit her father is unknown to anyone. A large, sleek tom. He has a pale gray pelt with black tabby markings and bright yellow eyes. He has a scar that runs across his left shoulder from a fight with a rogue. He is dependable and optimistic, often able to handle stressful or sad situations with ease. However, he’s rather serious most of the time, rarely letting his guard down. This makes it hard for anyone to get close to him. However, once he does relax, it’s easy to see that he is quite caring and also has a very adventurous, dreamer side to him. Brother is Oakstar. A small, thin she-cat. She has sleek cream-colored fur with a white belly and is missing her tail from a run in with a fox she had when she was just a kit. Her eyes are a dark blue. Pearcloud is sweet and kind. She tries to be friendly but is usually rather shy and awkward. She often lacks confidence in herself and is her own worst critic. This can sometimes make her falter when hunting or fighting as she worries that she’s not doing her best or what’s right. Pearcloud was born to rogues who ultimately left her behind because she couldn’t keep up. She had a bad run in with a fox and was saved by Horizonclan. [brambleflight]

A large, long haired she-cat. She has thick pale brown fur with black paws, ears and tail tip. Her eyes are a golden yellow. Hazelclaw is usually rather intimidating. She is muscular and usually has a harsh gaze. She is rather quiet and not an easy cat to read. While she is quiet, she is by no means shy but usually rather serious. Hazelclaw is observant and clever. She’s rather independent and has no problem doing things on her own. She is kind-hearted and patient, making her a good mother and mentor. She was originally a rogue that lived outside clan territory. She eventually ended up joining. [brambleflight]

A very dark brown tabby tom with one gold eye and one blue eye. He has white forepaws and has a white blaze on his chest. He is long-limbed and muscular, with broad shoulders and a thick tail. He has tufts of fur on his ears and like his half brother Lionclaw he has thick mane like fur around his neck and scruff though he also has long fur on his cheeks. His right ear had a V-shaped nick in it. He has a small but visible scar over his left eye, and one long scar down his right shoulder from previous battles. Tigerheart is normally quiet and keeps to himself unless provoked or the circumstances require him to take part in the action. He has a way of becoming very snappy and irritable quite easily. However, it isn't too hard to gain his trust once he warms up to a cat, and he is a great friend to have around because of his fierce loyalty to those he cares about. Though he may seem cold, he wouldn't hesitate to lay down his life for his Clanmates. Left in the clan by his mother no one knows. [Koi]

Tawnystreak is a large tom, with brownish orange fur and yellow eyes. His fur is covered in darker tabby markings and is rather intimidating. The tom is a charming and is someone who is rather flirty unknowingly, usually. He really is just a kind soul who is nice to everyone for the most part. He is a fast warrior and likes to show off in front of the she-cats. Of course that is when he knows what he is doing. He likes being helpful and is actually rather smart with some things. [Inky]Breezefeather || 19 Moons || Warrior ||A tall pretty tortoiseshell she-kit with ice blue eyes, her fur is sleek excluding her tail; her tail has long whispy fur. Shes mostly dark brown and tan, with one half of her face being tan and the other almost black with a white underbelly. She is a great hunter and is exceedingly fast though she lacks in fighting. She is playful and kind, she is shy around new cat but once she gets to you she is bubbly and out going. She has a quick temper and a fiery tongue and isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes in even if she stands alone. Born into the clan but her mother Speckleheart left after her mate died leaving her young kit to the clan. [Koi]

A tall, longhaired white she-cat with pale fawn tabby spots on he head, back, legs and tail, as well as a few soft specks of this tabby color scattered on her pelt. Her tail is tipped with white and she has pale blue eyes. Softspeck is just an gentle as her name, very soft and delicate looking. She usually keeps to herself or trails after Cedarwing, her brother, who she is very close to. She often seems a bit sad, always missing seeing her mother after she left the clan, but she still works hard if usually keeping to herself. She's a very good hunter, however she is reluctant to fight since kithood. Softspeck was born to a HorizonClan she-cat, named Emberblossom, and a kittypet tom, called George. A tall, longhaired pale gray tabby she-cat with pale blue eyes, a whiteish muzzle, neck, chest, belly and tailtip and white paws. Primrosewillow is the loud one out of her family, tending to be extremely energetic and quick. She's usually very friendly and talkative, and can often been an annoyance with her gossip and chatter. However she is courageous and focuses best under pressure, and enjoys helping weaker cats, always having a small fascination with medicine despite her inclinations to be a warrior. That being said, she often visits the medicine cats and tries to learn from them to help as a sort of back up. She's also often hunting for the elders, queens and kits, as well as the injured and sick. Primrosewillow can sometimes be the slightest bit short tempered, but overall she's a good cat with a very kind heart. She can be a bit bitter towards he relations at twoleg place, however, and it takes her awhile to trust outsiders. Primrosewillow was born to a HorizonClan she-cat, named Emberblossom, and a kittypet tom, called George. She and her siblings, Cedarwing and Softspeck, where raised in the clan, only meeting their father a few times near the border as her mother took them to visit him. A large, bulky, dark brown tabby tom with white paws. He has dark, amber eyes and a very stocky frame. Bramblethorn has very intimidating looks but is a rather kind tom. He is an amazing warrior, but lacks with social skills. He stays to himself and strictly follows the code, despite his attempt to make friends, they just don't seem to hang around. He tries his best but always ends up alone. Joined the clan a couple of moons ago and is trying his best to fit in and be liked. Lived with a large group of rogue cats in a crowded city before joining and has a tough time trusting other cats. [» ᴄᴀʀᴛᴇʀ]

A black tom with amber eyes, a white left front paw, and long claws. He is left pawed, cold, and stubborn, with a slightly kind side to his close friends. [Tom]
Cloudwing || 27 Moons || Warrior ||
Cloudwing is a pure whited tom with light gray paws and black ear tips, he also has dark blue eyes. He isn't the best hunter but he is very good at fighting and knows some of the most advanced moves. Cloudwing is on the more care free side, he doesn't get angry for no reason. He sometimes does get annoyed at apprentices. He was born in a ditch where he was left alone to fend for himself until he Horizonclan, and being there ever since.
Fernwhisker || 30 Moons || Warriors ||
Fernwhisker is a gray tabby she-cat with green eyes. Her fur is normal length. She is smaller than an average warrior. She is a great hunter, but not as good with her fighting skills. Fernwhisker is generally a friendly cat, respecting everyone in the clan no matter what rank they are. However, she can get a bit bossy during patrols, because she likes things to be done her way. If someone scolds her, she can get really upset since she is sensitive. She used to be a rogue, wandering near HorizonClan territory, until one day she was approached by a warrior of HorizonClan who asked her if she wanted to join, and she accepted. [Dawnrose]

Icepaw || 7 moons || Apprentice ||
A short-furred she-cat with short legs and a particularly long tail. She has a white pelt with silver tabby markings and darker gray paws and tail tip. Her eyes are a pale blue. Icepaw is cheerful and ambitious. While she is rather positive, she can also be quite bossy. Icepaw is kind-hearted and sympathizes with most cats, even out-siders, as she has a talent for understanding both sides of every story. This can sometimes make her naive though, falling for tricks and lies. Icepaw was born and raised in the clan.[brambleflight]
Stormpaw || 12 Moons || Apprentice ||
A rather large tom with long, muscular legs. He has short blue-gray fur with these random white markings throughout his fur. His tail is long and fluffier than the rest of his body. The white markings that are lurking throughout his fur vary in different sizes. His chest is fluffier, about as fluffy as his tail. His eyes are a blazing amber color with little blue flecks. Stormpaw is an out-going tom cat who enjoys being around others. He's a very talkative tom cat who tends to always have something to say. Then again, he's known as a flirt to. He usually flirts with most she-cats his age or around his age. However, he can be a very sweet and caring tom. He enjoys being around kits and elders for various reasons. Elders because he likes to hear stories, and kits because they usually make him laugh. Born into the clan. [Koi]
Lizardpaw || 8 Moons || Apprentice ||
A very small, nimble, longhaired pale yellow tabby tom with scruffy fur, and bright blue eyes. His fir gets paler towards the center of his pace, down his neck, and to his belly, and finally he has one white front paw, part of the leg is also white, and a white tail. He has a small scar on the bridge of his nose and a nick in his right ear. Lizardpaw is a silly cat, with zero coordination and almost no attention span. Although he is creative and loving he also has little confidence, never being a strong kitten since birth and not being a particularly effective hunter of fighter. He is quick, however, and has a lot of energy, and is usually best when working with others in fighting or hunting. Lizardpaw as a quiet temperament and is very likeable, if hard to take seriously at times. He was born to Softspeck after her mate, Barkmask's death, and he never met his father and is very close to his mother, often bragging about what a great warrior his dad was when he was alive from all the stories she's told of him. Linchenpaw || 13 Moons || Apprentice ||
Lichenpaw is a bit odd looking, since he is a Devon Rex, his wavy pelt makes him look like he has extra baggy skin. He is slender and nimble, making his head look large in comparison to his small body. His ears are large and pointed slightly to the sides. He has deep green eyes and has a solid dark brown coloring. Lichenpaw is a quiet, introverted cat. He keeps to himself and very rarely shares his opinions of things. He stays in the background of things, thinking about issues more than contributing to it with a speech. Though his facial expressions are easy to read, if you ask him what is wrong, he always insists he's fine. And for this behavior, he is seen as a push over. He takes orders well without little question. Although he behaves this way, deep down he does want to tell others how he feels. But the fear of others judging him overwhelms him and he stays quiet. He is always guided by his anxieties as they control his every action. This prevents him from taking risks and making relationships. Linchenpaw is actually very emotional, taking things out on himself and seeing everything he does as negative. Lichenpaw was a normal kit born in the Clan. Being an only child, his parents were very fond of him. His mother was named Fenneltail, and his father being named Whiteshade. He was treated well and loved by them. But, one thing that bothered Linchenpaw when he was younger was how determined Whiteshade was to make his son a powerful warrior. He would teach him fighting moves and let him practice on him. He was proud of his son, but Lichenpaw could not see why. In fact, every time he failed or got something wrong, he would take it out on himself. He didn't understand how Whiteshade could be proud of him, Linchenpaw thought that he was taking pity on him because of how small and fragile he was compared to the other kits. Trying to toughen him up by practicing fighting moves a little bit early. But only saw his attempts as failures. By the time he reached 6 moons, a sickness ran over his mother. The medicine cat at the time insisted it was only a small cold, but by the following day, Fenneltail had died. It struck the whole Clan in shock. That same night, Whiteshade had disappeared without a trace. No scent. No footprints. Nothing. Seemingly running away in grief of his mate. That moment had effected Lichenpaw deeply, as he had lost both of parents. As much as he had wanted to grieve, he bottled them at the fear of being seen as weak. In fact, he blamed himself for Whiteshade's disappearance. Surely, he could not care for his father while he grieved for his mate. Linchenpaw would be a disappointment, always in the way if Whiteshade stayed. He wanted a strong warrior to be proud of, but that wasn't going to happen. Why wouldn't Whiteshade leave? Who would want the only thing left of his family to be a small weakling? He still wonders if Whiteshade is alive today and sometimes imagines he sees the silhouette of his father in the territory, scowling at him. [ᵍºʳᵐˡᵉˢˢ]
Silverpaw || 7 Moons || Apprentice ||
A silvery-white fluffy she-cat with bluish-green eyes. She has a cream underbelly, and the furn is thick and soft. She's a mysterious, deep, kind cat, but is usually misunderstood and not trusted. She was born to a couple unknown loners, left on her own for being the runt, and was found crying out for her mother. [Tom]
Ravenpaw || 8 Moons || Apprentice ||
Ravenpaw is a tall, sleek she-cat with a pure black pelt. She has a white chest, underbelly, tail tip and a splash of white around her left eye. Her irises are an emerald green color and she has long, black whiskers. Ravenpaw is a rather awkward she-cat in the sense that she never really knows what to do. Despite being an exceptional hunter, Ravenpaw doesn't do much without permission or approval from cats who are higher up than her. She is very sweet and kind but does not bend the rules whatsoever. Wanting to be independent but unsure of how to be, this apprentice has a lot to learn. Born and raised in HorizonClan, has had a very average life. [» ᴄᴀʀᴛᴇʀ]
Lionpaw || 8 Moons || Apprentice ||
Lionpaw is a short, muscular tom with a sleek, golden - brown tom with rather thick fur. He has bright green eyes and large paws. Lionpaw is brave and goofy. He’s fun-loving and most doubt that he takes anything seriously. He actually can be quite serious but he just usually prefers to make light of most situations. He’s not the fastest learner but he always tries his best and usually doesn’t get discouraged. [brambleflight]

Cherryfrost || 32 Moons || Queen ||
Cherryfrost is much darker version of her sister in many ways. Her pelt is multi-colored, but much darker, her colors are deep reds black/grey and brown. Her fur is shorter than her littermate's and she had the same three patches but hers are on her forehead going down her neck. Her eyes are the same striking blue as her sisters. Other then their looks the two couldn't be more different. Cherryfrost is loyal but fierce she would die for her clan but in a different way than Paledream. She is a firm cat who doesn't take anything from anyone, she hates being told what to do or how to feel. And of course she is very outspoken about this, more so when its someone younger or lower than her. Once you get past her hard she though she is a nice cat but always has a sarcastic remark somehow. Clan born, but she left for quiet sometime, covered by Paledream who said the she-cat had been washed down river, when actuality she fell in love with a lone tom. Litter-mate was Paledream. Mate was Crow. Is close to kitting. [inky]

A fluffy, long haired, white she-cat with light gray patches all down her flank and tail with smaller, darker gray patches speckled down her spine. She has bright, blue eyes and is short very short. Cloudyskies is extremely gentle and kind which is why she is an asset to the nursery. She helps take care of everyone's kits, not just her own, and is very caring to the clans young. Although she is patient with kits, warriors who complain bother her to a breaking point. This she-cat gets annoyed easily with overbearing fathers who crowd their pregnant or nursing mates and she also can't stand cats who are rough with kits. Joined HorizonClan while she was heavily pregnant. Is no good at fighting or hunting so just stays in the nursery and takes care of the kits. Before joining the clan, the father of the kits ran off leaving her all alone. Kits are Stormkit and Sandkit. [» ᴄᴀʀᴛᴇʀ]

Stormkit is a dark gray tom with white paws, chest, underbelly, and splotch on his nose. He has deep, dark blue eyes and long, milky whiskers. Stormkit is extremely playful and happy. He bounces around the clan as if he owns the place and is extremely nosy and curious. Obsessed with the warriors, he is constantly bothering them and begging them to teach him new things. Owlkit || 4 Moons || Kit ||
Owlkit is a brown tabby tom who is a very curious kit. He easily wanders out of the nursery, exploring all the little areas of the camp. Owlkit treats the other kits nicely. He doesn't really understand how he got into HorizonClan, as he was very young when he joined. Owlkit was found on HorizonClan territory, possibly abandoned by their mother. HorizonClan warriors took him in. [Dawnrose]

Cedarwing was sitting with his sisters, the three chatting before heading off to work on their respective clan duties. Primrosewillow was purring with amusement as Cedarwing talked about a recent hunting patrol gone wrong, while Softspeck listened in silence, a small smile on her face. The three stopped as Lizardpaw joined them, having had just exited the apprentice's den and coming to say good morning to his mom, his fur all ruffled by wind and from lack of grooming after his sleep. Softspeck looked her son over with amusement and smoothed his fur down as he run to them. "Your a mess, you want to start your day like that?"

(Hello!  ) (Nice nice xD) Pearcloud stretched and padded out of the warrior’s den. She shook off the small bits of moss in her pelt and glanced around the camp. Her blue eyes held a drowsy look as she had difficulty fully waking up from her sleep. “Morning...” She meowed with a yawn, greeting her fellow clanmates that were just beginning their day. Oakstar jumped down from the boulder to greet his brother as the tom emerged from the warriors den. Ashlight sat down besides him. “It’s getting colder..” The gray tom grumbled with a small shiver. He wrapped his tail around his paws in an attempt to keep warm. Oakstar nodded and eyed the camp walls. “Perhaps we should try building the walls up to lessen the amount of wind coming in..” He pondered out loud. Hazelclaw padded into the camp carrying a small crow and mouse. She had woken up rather early and decided to take a walk through the forest so she managed to hunt a little bit before she returned to camp. It appeared that most the clan was awake now, a large difference from when she had first left. |

Cedarwing stood up, nodding in greeting as Pearcloud passed them and smiling after the cats. "Well, looks like we'll be out on a patrol soon now." He told his sisters, his bushy tail sweeping the forest floor gently as he began to head away. "Best get that one sorted out." He purred as he stopped and ruffled Lizardpaw's head fur with a paw, the young tom cat giggling and ducking away.
"Your not helping." Softspeck pointed out quietly, but with a touch of amusement and annoyance. "I just managed to get his fur flat."
Primrosewillow purred and got to her feet with a jump, ready to head out on patrol. "Tell me when your ready to assign a border patrol, brother. I'll be waiting! Can't wait to stretch my legs and do some hunting."
