Irene wasn't sure if she should try to cover for Will or not. "Oh, he's not too bad I guess..." She said quietly, keeping her eyes fixed on the Doctor. "You feel okay?" She hesitated before reaching out and placing a hand on him as well to help steady him

- She didn't know the half of it. But, The Doctor kept his mouth closed in order to keep from slandering him, leaning into her touch, still shaky on his feet. "Oh, quite alright, just my legs aren't woking is all," he said, that goofy grin still on his face as he tried to stand straight, but like he had predicted, careened backwards until The Master stepped up and caught him, setting him right again.

"Lean against the wall or...whatever this is." Irene gestured to the controls in the center of the box. She noticed how Will went to help him, and wondered if deep down he really wasn't that bad of an person. Or should she say alien?

- "On it," The Doctor panted, allowing The Master to help him sit on the edge of the console, crossing one of his legs shakily over the other as he did so, taking in a deep breath, "so, uh, Irene, sorry you got dragged into all of this. I suppose that I owe you an explanation since he's probably not too keen on giving one. So, alright, my actual name is The Doctor, his actual name is The Master. We're both Time Lords from Gallifrey, the last ones, actually, and this ship is called a TARDIS. He also used to be the Prime Minister, you know, the one that shot the president?"
"Don't tell her that!"
"But it's true."

Irene tried not to let that statement completely fly over her head. "The Doctor. And the Master." She repeated to herself. Those names seemed to fit them more than John and Will did. "And my god that was you?!" She blinked in shock. Everyone had been in somewhat an uproar when the president had been shot-naturally. Irene never expected Will, no the Master, had been the one who had done it
Also I'm leaving for a trip soon but I'll try to pop on every now and then))

- "Yes, yes, that was me," The Master said, taking a little bow, which The Doctor rolled his eyes at, "I was trying to take over your world and all, but someone had to go and stop me." He gave the man next to him a pointed look, but only got a nonchalant shrug in return. He supposed it wasn't all that unusual. World domination and fighting all over the cosmos was basically a coffee date for the two of them.
{ okay! }

'These guys are nuts.' Irene took a deep breath. "What do you want with me? Why did you bring me here?" She wondering if they were going to wipe her memory or do something to brainwash her like most aliens on TV

- "Because it was easier than letting go of you and having you go after me with your pocket knife!" The Master exclaimed, rolling his eyes and putting his elbows on the console, resting his chin in his hands as he stared over at her, dark eyes almost disappearing underneath of his furrowed brow. He was contemplating what he should do with her. He knew that The Doctor wouldn't just kill her and dump her somewhere, even if that was the easy way.
"I can drop you off at home once..." The Doctor paused, taking a shaky breath, "once I finish, ah, cooking." He coughed into his hand, a stream of golden particles falling from his lips when he removed his hand.
The Master, meanwhile, had stood, stretching and looking between the two before saying, "Well, Doctor dearest, I would like some different clothes, so I'm going to go and find the wardrobe and I'll be back." He bowed sarcastically to Irene before disappearing down one of the aisles, leaving her and The Doctor alone in the dim console.

Irene watched the Doctor with a careful gaze. "How long does it take for you to get better?" She asked. She was asking to know how much longer she said here, but not because she didn't like it. Quite the opposite. Even though she thought these people were nuts, they were the most fun she had ever had in years

- "Oh, it depends on the regeneration. I, uh, this one isn't as bad as the last. I passed out for a couple of days, I think. I was unconscious so I don't really remember."
He shrugged, smiling thinly as he shifted, shakily righting himself from off of the console and asking, true concern in his voice, "Are you alright? The Master's a bit, um... much." A bit insane. A bit evil. But, nevertheless, The Doctor loved him, and he was glad to see that he was alright, even if only hours later he was causing trouble.

Irene was shocked that he had actual concern for her, but at this point she figured he could only be acting to lower her guard. "Oh him? Please, he was a sweetheart." She stares coldly at the Master, her words reflecting a different message than her eyes did, but she couldn't bring herself to talk down about a man she considered a friend

{ he's not in the room anymore xD }
- "He is anything but a sweetheart," The Doctor said with a short chuckle, "he's a manipulative jerk who treats anyone that doesn't give him what he wants like a doormat." He shrugged, leaning onto the console again and bowing his head because he was dizzy, again. He felt like he was going to vomit. "But, he is my best friend."
It was about then that The Master reappeared. He had kept the jacket he'd bought with Irene, but was now wearing a pair of black slacks, a white button-down, and a pair of well-polished leather shoes. He wordlessly jogged up to the console, sticking his tongue out at Irene as he did so.

"Um would you like a bucket or something?" Irene looked around for something the Doctor to throw up in, since he looked a little green to her

- "I'm fi-!"
And before he finished his sentence he stumbled awkwardly sideways, the greenish tint to his skin becoming all the more prominent as The Master caught hold of him and helped him into one of the jump seats, brushing his currently unkempt hair out of his sweat drenched face. "You want something to eat?" he asked, hands on his knees as he peered into the man's eyes, nodding as he nodded, "well, then you're going to have to get it yourself!" A beat of silence, and then The Master laughed, ruffling his hair with an, "I'm kidding. Irene, come help me."
And he was back down the stairs again, heading for one of the passageways out.

Irene hesitated before deciding it was for the Doctor and therefore could put up with being around the Master if it was for him. "So what do timelords eat?" She had ten thousand questions to ask about them, their planet, etc. But she didn't like the Master enough to ask him and the Doctor didn't seem in good enough condition to answer them all

{ ooc: how was your day? }
- "Food," The Master said, falling into step beside her as they walked along. He had no idea what the kitchen was, but he wasn't planning on letting her know that either. He'd figure it out. Maybe the TARDIS (as much as it hated him) would even be nice enough to show them the way. "You literally just saw me eat, what, five human things in the past twelve hours? We eat food."

Really good ^.^ you?))
Irene tried not to glare at him. "Well excuse me. For all I know you could have only been pretending to eat...oh wait you probably wouldn't be smart enough to think of that." She covered her mouth the second the words left them. Her eyes widened as she bit back the urge to unleash a stream of sorrys

{ ooc: very good! }
- The Master paused, stopping in the middle of the hall. He looked over at her, eyebrows raised before he marched right towards her, backing her up until she really had no room to maneuver to either side. "Oh, I'm stupid?" he asked, eyes narrowed as he got even closer to her, teeth bared, "says the one who let me, someone they didn't even know into their home! I'm stupid? God." And he began to walk again, hands shoved into his pockets.

Irene stared at the ground as he got closer, unable to find the will to say anything back seeing as he was right. She sighed the second he walked away. "Hey I'm sorry. I didn't mean it." She murmured, half wanting him to hear it, half not
That's good to hear ^.^))

- No answer. In a couple of minutes The Master was entering the kitchen, still not looking at her as he threw open the fridge and pulled out some human bread, meat, and cheese, flinging them at the counter moodily before going to search of kitchen utensils that were debatably dangerous in his possession.

"D-do you want some help?" She had a pretty good idea she was going to get the silent treatment from him and it was very well deserved. She lost her temper and now would pay the price for her words. If he decided to fling a fork at her, she would probably be accepting of that since she kinda had it coming

- "No, I don't," The Master replied after a moment, beginning to assemble the sandwich without looking at her. Not with the sandwich, at least. "Go find a glass and get some water," he commanded over his shoulder.

Irene obeyed without question, figuring it was the least she could do. She stared at the cabinets, unsure of which held a cup, so she started opening doors until she found a cup and filled it with water

- A couple minutes later The Master had finished making the sandwich and had sloppily put everything back into the fridge, still visibly moody as he did so. God, he hated humans. He always had. They were so annoying, so incredibly annoying, and The Doctor never seemed to see or care about that. He just spent all his time with them anyways, dragging The Master here because...
Well, that was another story. It wasn't like The Master had to follow, and he knew that. There were a lot of reasons he did.
"Come on," he said after another moment, scooping up the plate and beginning to head out the door again.

She followed the Master out of the kitchen area, still feeling awful. She could almost sense the waves of irritation running off of him. It's not like she actually cared too much how he felt about her presence, especially after he lied to her, but at the same time she missed the seemingly innocent lost gay boy who had no where to turn. She wondered if maybe there was an innocent piece within the man. "Will," She stopped and corrected herself. "Master, why did you come to earth?"

- The Master didn't pause as she questioned him. He just kept on walking, telling himself that he wasn't going to answer, that she didn't deserve an answer because she hadn't been there so it did't matter. But, he knew that she would keep bugging him, and that she was too stupid to shut up, so after a moment he humored her with a snippy, "I fell." It wasn't an entire lie, but it wasn't the truth either. He had fallen, out of a time warp that was.

"Why do you seem so irked by the fact I'm alive?" Irene tried to not sound snappy herself. "I'm genuinely curious about you and you act like I'm some sort of flea on you!"
|
|
|
Post by exxus on Jul 6, 2017 23:02:38 GMT -5
- He scoffed, rolling his eyes but still not turning as he very pointedly informed, "You are a flea to me, and to The Doctor. I'm over one-thousand years old. You're a baby, no, a newborn to the two of us. And your people? Well, you're basically all bugs. No, apes, I guess." Monkeys. He was tempted to turn to see if his harsh words would illicit a reaction, but he didn't, for fear of dropping the sandwich and having to spend more time alone with her.

Irene clenched her hand not holding the water into a fist. "You," She tried not to blow her top. Key word being tried. "Are the most obnoxious, rude, disrespectful little brat in the entire universe! And if this water wasn't for someone who actually seems to have a heart-because you clearly dont- it would be dumped all over you!" She marched past him, fuming at both herself for losing her temper she worked so hard to keep under control and him for saying those kinds of things
