Foster wandered aimlessly around the castle grounds, kicking pebbles as he went. For some reason, he was unable to find his usual group of friends this morning. "Must've gone off to Hogsmeade." he thought to himself. He debated on whether or not he should go and try to catch up with his friends in Hogsmeade but decided to instead lay down in a sunny patch of grass and admire the oddly beautiful weather they were experiencing today. Foster saw another student across the way, but couldn't quite make out who it was.

Reece slowly, but surely, made his way to the library. He knew after the long summer break the library surely had restocked itself with plenty of new texts, whether they be newly published, or simply newly bound as many of the books here were worn with age. As he journeyed to the library, he recited his class schedule out loud, "Transfiguration, Charms, Study of Ancient Ruins..."

[ whoops these ended up a bit long, sorry! please don't feel pressured to write as much back ;-; ]
Cassiopeia had had a busy morning. She had awakened bright and early to make sure that the First Years would be ready to go for their first classes, and help calm any nerves of theirs. She had then eaten a nice breakfast, pestered her brother for about 15 minutes until he told her he had "important plant business in the Greenhouse" and then promptly headed to the library (like usual), and so she had been outside alone for a while now, wandering the grounds. She had been chasing a butterfly now for about 20 minutes because she had sworn Professor Trewlaney had mentioned their importance in Divination the other day, and she could have sworn that she had seen this butterfly everyday since. She wanted to catch it to take it up, but it seemed to be toying sith her. So it was in Foster's favor that she managed to spot him during her pursuit in enough time to avoid stepping over him and instead, nimbly leapt across the boy, hands clasping together around the butterfly mid-air. She stumbled slightly on the landing, turning and coming to stand over him, gazing down with warm, wide eyes, cheeks rosy from her excitement. "Hullo Foster!" she greeted, then plopped down beside him on the grass, long legs folding up neatly beneath her as she paused to catch her breath.
Kale was tired. He had barely gotten any sleep the night prior, having stayed up most of the night pouring over an ancient text about old medicinal practices. So, having overslept and having very little time for breakfast as a result, Kale found himself a bit crankier than usual. So when his twin had come to pester him, well-meaningly of course, he had blatantly lied to her face. Not that she minded. She was used to his moodiness by now. So when Kale passed by Reece, he couldn't help but overhear the boy's classes and stop, turning to walk beside the much smaller and younger boy. "If I were you, I would try to see if I could get the Study of Ancient Runes changed. It's a fun class for about the first week, maybe two, but then it really stagnates and is just a waste of time," he said, remembering how mad he was for lettinf Cass convince him to sign up with her, only to have her flake out on him last minute to suffer alone. He did enjoy what he had learned, but he wished he hadn't wasted a whole year's elective on it, and he felt inclined to try to keep Reece, a fellow Ravenclaw, from making the same mistake.

Foster, by instinct, flinched as the older Hufflepuff leaped over him. He had seen her chasing something a few minutes ago, but failed to realize he was directly in her path. "Oh, hello," he replied as Cass sat down next to him. She was rather beautiful, at least Foster thought. Her eyes were deep and comforting as if they knew and understood everything about you. While they had always been friendly, due to being in the same house, they had never really had much of a conversation beyond a passing "hello" or a smile in the common room. Perhaps it was because she was a year older? Or maybe it was the fact that Foster was never usually one to initiate any form of social interaction. "How are you today Cass? Quite beautiful out, isn't it?"
---
Reece looked up, slightly shocked. He hadn't expected someone to talk to him, nor was he paying attention to anything going on around him. "Oh, uh, don't take Ancient Ruins?" he replied somewhat sheepishly, "I've heard it could be rather interesting." Reece paused and thought for a second, "Or maybe that was Divination..." lately his mind was scattered. He had spent the last two nights before returning to school reading every textbook in his home before he left so he could start new ones once he arrived. "Thanks for the advice though. I was headed to the library right now. Maybe I'll find a copy of the textbook and read through it and see if it's worth taking as a course, or a better fit for a weekend's read." To anyone else, that sentence would be absolutely off-putting. A textbook about ancient ruins, for a weekend's read? Dreadful. Perhaps not for a fellow Ravenclaw though.

Cassiopeia was quiet for a moment, focused intently on keeping her hands cupped enough so s not to hurt the butterfly. "It really is. I love when it gets like this, witht he sky so blue and open. It looks like it stretches on forever," she sighed, smiling wistfully upwards for a moment before glancing down at him. "Where are your friends?" she asked quietly after a moment, realizing that Foster was alone for once. He always seemed to have a friend with him, and right now he seemed somewhat down almost. She offered a tentative smile, not wanting to pressure him into talking about it if he didn't want to.
Kale thought for a moment, fingers absently toying with the pages of the book in his hands. "The textbook was actually the most interesting part of the class, full of interesting stories and information about dates and such-if you're into all that," he shrugged, offering a smile down at the shorter boy before gazing back down this his book. "But I mean, it's a good class to take if you want an easy one," he said, not wanting to discourage the boy's pursit of knowledge so inherent in their house.

Foster stared blankly up at the sky, "I think they may have gone off to Hogsmeade for the day..." he awkwardly cut off his sentence and let it drift into silence. He sat up slightly and examined his surroundings. There were plenty of other students walking around the grounds and chatting were their fellow classmates and friends. "You're right," Foster suddenly said, "It does look like it goes on forever," he said in reply to Cass's first comment about the sky.
---
Reece stood there in thought for a moment, "I think maybe I'll attend the class for the first week and make my decision after that. At the very least it'll be a good read." Reece noticed Kale was thumbing the pages of his book. He tried to see what the name of it was on the front cover but couldn't see due the angle the older boy was holding it at. "Is that for one of your classes?"

》》Ezekiel shrugged his shoulders ever-so-slightly and tugged on a strand of curly blonde hair. He was a little nervous, trying to explain why a teacher didn't like him. Ravenclaw students were supposed to be perfect students, well-behaved and well-loved by all teachers. Unless you were Ezekiel and you had a bad habit of correcting people when they made a mistake. He didn't do it to be rude, he just wanted to help everyone learn a little better. "I, uh... They don't like my quietness, I guess," he answered absently. Then, he gave Victor the first smile he'd given anyone since he'd met the two. Actually, it was the first time he'd given anyone in the padt couple of days. It made Ezekiel's face look brighter, made him look so much cheerier, even if it was only a small, brief one that didn't last long. "Oh, no. The class is wonderful and quite easy." Then, blushing bright red, he stammered almost silently, "I could, um... I-I could... Tutor y-you?"
---------------
A chaser! How grand, Julian thought. They would make a fabulous beater/chaser pair, he was certain of it. Well, he'd been wrong, but he was glad Sunday's suspicions had indeed been confirmed. He was glad he looked like a beater. "Oh? Well, I suppose I should warn you, I am a bit of a troublemaker," he warned her teasingly, nudging her with his elbow and taking a large bite of his apple. After swallowing, he gave her a wicked grin. "My genius of a brother comes up with all my brilliant schemes. He doesn't like causing trouble, but he can't say no to me." He gave her a flirty smile. "C'mon, who could say no to this lovely face?"《《

Naomi grinned when she caught Ezekiel's quick smile. It was a good smile. It made his whole face light up and gave off a warm and welcoming aura. "What an odd professor," she added in at his comment about them not liking his quietness. As Ezekiel offered to tutor Victor, Naomi quietly wrapped up her remaining cookies and placed them back in the pouch her mother had packed them in. If she only ate one, maybe two a day, she could make them last for another week or so. "Would you two maybe want to go explore more of the grounds with me?" Naomi asked cheerfully. "I'm excited to discover as much as possible, and today is a rather nice afternoon."

Cass sighed contentedly, noting the way he cut himself off. "And they didn't tell you?" she finished, biting her bottom lip faintly. She notes that the boy was fairly lanky himself, and seemed to be pretty much the same height as her. He was cute, with his shaggy hair and blue ryes, although she'd heard rumors that he swung the other way. No matter, they could still be friends, right? Right.
She blinked at his comment about the sky, tilting her head to look up once more in it. "I once heard a story that clouds were put in the sky, to catch angels who slip. And sometimes when they fall, they miss and end up dragging parts of the clouds with them, like that," she gestured to a long string of cirrus clouds in the high altitudes. "Of course, if you asked my brother, he'd tell you that they're up there due to some boring altitude and weather pattern nonsense. But I kind of like the idea of angels falling to land here, you know?" she said, turning to look at him once more, shifting faintly.
Kale nodded, admiring the boy's willingness to at least give it a fair chance. "That's a very smart decision," he praised, smiling slightly. "Hmm?? Oh, this is my alchemy text book. I found recently some interesting theories on old practices, and I've been meaning to go up to the library and find out some more about it. Even though that Ferna something or other just published a book with all new ideas. I think, if it isn't broken, don't fix it. Unless, of course, that'll make it quicker or easier," He added the last part as a sort of after thought, eyes scanning the hallways somewhat apprehensively. There seemed to be a lot of people milling about, and he was curious about the new students and what they would look and sound like-he had yet to meet any of them.
"You can take a look if you'd like," he offered after a minute, noticing the boy's curious look. He admired his sense of curiosity and eagerness to try new things-but then again, they were Ravenclaws.

Sunday made of point of rolling her eyes at him, but her bubbly laughter made it clear that she wasn't actually annoyed. "You tell me", she said, arching one eyebrow as if to challenge him. It hadn't been her intention to flirt on the first day, but whatever. Julian had got to be one of the hotter guys in her year, and he seemed like the type of kid that everyone knew and liked. Perhaps it wouldn't be such a bad idea to at the very least see where the conversation would lead them if allowed to continue naturally. "A self-proclaimed troublemaker, huh? For some reason I'm not surprised."

"Yeah, I like that too," Foster said in agreement with Cass's comments about the clouds. He thought it may be a bit fantastical, but he appreciated the open-minded and cheerful outlook she had. While his friends, or at least the people he had considered his friends, were never strictly negative, most of them had a strict, more realistic view on life. That isn't to say they were boring, but he gladly accepted the girls different and amusing way of thinking. Ever since he came out to his "friends" at the end of the last school year, conversation with them seemed to be a chore for them, and as the summer waned on, the conversation and friendly exchange of letters and knick-knacks by owl ceased to exist. "But, uh, yeah they didn't tell me.." he said, a slight tinge of sadness somewhere in his voice, "I did sleep in a bit later than usual though, so I'm sure they just wanted to get as much time there as possible." It seemed as if Foster had finished his thoughts but he quickly added in somewhat in his "friends" defense, "I also wouldn't want to keep them waiting while I was getting ready."
---
"Thanks, Kale!" Reece said as he quickly flipped and skimmed through the many pages of the book. Although he wouldn't be able to take an Alchemy class for a few more years, and honestly, had not much knowledge in regards to what the book was discussing, he found the text and depictions rather intriguing. "Let me know how the class goes?" he asked, handing the book back to Kale. He noticed Kale had begun to scan the crowd and began to wonder if he was keeping him occupied, or if the boy was waiting for someone else to arrive.

Cassiopeia smiled at the boy, eyes curious. "I thought you might," she said, smile widening and dimples appearing faintly. However, when he spoke of his friends, her smile diminished some when he spoke of his friends. She glanced down at her hands, peeking at the butterfly that had now stilled in her hands. "They don't sound like very good friends if you ask me," she said, pausing to gauge his reaction before continuing. "Of course, I don't really know them that well, but just to say, if it were me, I wouldn't have minded waiting," she said, eyes flickering nervously away. "But if you want to go to Hogsmeade now, I'd be happy to go with you and help you find your friends, so you don't have to go alone," she smiled again, eyes flickering back up to him with a warm look, shifting faintly in the grass.
Kale couldn't help but laugh slightly at the boy's enthusiasm, watching him eagerly flip through it. When he finished, Kale took the book back from him with another faint chuckle. "Of course. It's really interesting so far, and everyone I've asked absolutely raves about it. Especially Emily," he said, referring to their head girl. She was nice enough, he thought, and he admired her enthusiasm about it. He opened the door to the library, holding it for Reece to walk through. "Speak of the devil, there's Emily now," he pointed the girl out, glancing at the student beside her. "And that's one of the exchange students. Say, have you gotten to meet any of them yet? I'm sure they all come from really fascinating places," he said, biting his lip faintly as he recalled the list of all the students and where they were from. "Do you remember his name?" he turned to Reece, feeling back for not remember. But Kale had never really been good with names.

Foster grinned slightly, "Yeah we could walk down there if you'd like!" he began to stand up, stretching out his arms as he did. "We don't have to worry about finding them though," he said, "If anything I'll just talk to them tonight or something." As Foster stood up the breeze blew slightly, his hair seemed to slightly dance with the breeze, but then would return to its shaggy, somewhat messy place once the wind died down. "Do you need to get anything before we head on down?"
---
Reece glanced over at the boy standing across from Emily, "No, I don't. Sorry," Reece said still looking the foreign students way, as if staring at him would somehow reveal his name. "Seems nice enough though," Reece finally gave up examining the student from afar and turned back to Kale, "Have you met or talked to any of them yet? I saw the girl from Ilvermorny earlier today in the halls. Skylar, I think?"

Cassiopeia smiled at his excitement, managing to get to her feet without using her hands. "Alright, well if you change your mind, let me know. Us Hufflepuffs are supposedly 'natural finders'," she smiled, eyes glittering excitedly in response. She hesitated when he asked her, glancing down at her hands before sighing. "No, thanks though. I'd hate for this little fella to get stuck indoors," she said, grinning as she released the butterfly. It shot up and looped around them a couple of times, then began to fly off in a curved path. She grinned, reaching out and tugging lightly on his hair. "Race ya to the gate," she said, eyes glinting mischievously before she took off, long legs gliding smoothly across the ground, dark tan, her robe flowing out behind her as she wove easily through students, a grin on her face.
Kale watched the boy too, trying to place his name. He surely seemed of Asian descent, and he seemed friendly enough, chatting idly with Emily. He glanced down at Reece, shrugging slightly before nodding in agreement at the boy's observation. Thinking for a moment, he shrugged. "I can't say that I have talked with any of them, and I can't remember for certain. You know how bad I am at names," he sighed, making a note to get better at that through practice. "But what did you come to the library for?" he asked, spotting the book he had come for in Emily's hands and resolving to read it later, not wanting to bother her and knowing how much she loved Alchemy.

Bion blinked at Josephine. These girls had not lived yet. Well, maybe he understood about not being on a broom since the first year. He would bet butterbeer not many knew of the school's community broom closet. He also could see quidditch not being a tempting sport. It wasn't like quidditch was a soft sport. He swore the nurse was going to blow once when three students were brought in passes out. Needless to say, they had a good beater that year. She even helped them win the quidditch cup. He snapped out of his reminiscing thoughts. "I'm sure we can get you a broom if you want, too." He promised with an easygoing smile.
---
Emily shook her head. "No, it's fine. You actually say interesting things." She admitted, though her words were said a bit quieter. She did believe them. Even if her and his opinions different on the book, Makoto seemed like one of the more intelligent people she has spoken to at Hogwarts."I think you would be a good spell inventor. I mean, I don't know much about you, but I think you can do it. Part of spells are words and language skills, and you already have a good grasp on English." She said these words earnestly and with a bit of enthusiasm. Her words were getting louder, thought not above normal level. She was just becoming more sure as she spoke. "If you want, we could look for some books on spells." She said, knowing roughly were the section was. Then she realized maybe she was getting ahead of herself. She pushed up her glasses and sighed to calm herself down. She would blame the talk about her mother and dreams later. "But it is okay if you don't." She said with an earnest smile, "After all, you have a year to try new things and find out what you like."
---
Victor was speechless for a second. Ezekiel's smile changed him so much. He just seemed so...alive? That wasn't the right word. Before he could think of the right word, the smile had disappeared. The offer that replaced it was almost as good as the smile. "Yes! Thank you!" He exclaimed with a grin, "I have a feeling this class is about to go as well as magical creatures." He stopped just to remember they didn't know how his class went. "It was bad." He simply admitted a little nervously. Now that he had met Ezekiel and Naomi, he didn't want to see too bad. Boy, did he welcome a change in topic. He hopped out of his seat and slung his bag over his shoulder. His focused his eyes on the first year. "I'll go. We should stick to the outside." He said, keeping the part out about the castle being too dark. Hopefully, he just walked down the wrong halls.

(FINALLY done with Toris desc. I'll get Quinn and Aarons up soon, but I have a test today and one tomorrow so I apologize if it takes a bit!)
Victoria "Tori" Addix - 4th year - Muggle born- Hogwarts- Ravenclaw 15 - 11-inch slightly bendy Walnut with a dragon heartstring core - Would be a Norwegian Forest cat - A gecko she named Newt (If thats okay, if not its going to be a norwegian forest cat named Oliver) Tori is a tiny girl, around 5"1' and about 100 pounds soaking wet. She always looks a good year younger than her actual age, currently being mistaken for a 4th year (but better than when she was on the Quidditch team her 2nd year and people complained of a first year being on the team. After that she quit.)She currently has short, black hair thats cut in a pixie cut but the tips change color depending on her emotion (a product of an experiment she and a few of her friends attempted last year.). She has olive colored skin and bright cobalt blue eyes, her skin is lightly freckled. It is usually nice and tanned, despite her never really going outside considering she throws much of her energy on in-doors activities, but her family has that kind of skin that seems to tan quite easily so it works out in her favor. Her nose is slightly crooked, the result of a fight she had gotten into when she was younger and was going to a muggle school, her canines are slightly pointed, giving her grin a rather sharp look. Tori, around newcomers, is rather shy and incredibly awkward, her sense of humor verging on the dark side of humor so she usually tries to keep her mouth shut when it comes to that. She has the tendency to pronounce words wrong because she's read more than shes ever really spoke. However, if an extravert ended up adopting her she would end up mirroring their actions, becoming more outgoing and less on the reserved side. She's loyal to her friends, once she makes them, but has the tendency to disappear for days on end if someone doesn't make sure she socializes and eats.
[Relations] Other[don't need]; Most likely Ace, has a love for potions and for magical creatures, and is known for attempting to bring home magical creatures for the summer..

Naomi smiled and looked at the two boys in front of her, excited that she'd now be able to explore the school grounds with company. She wanted hesitant and not immediately consider them her new friends, but she couldn't help it. In her mind, they were already three peas in a pod."Where to first?" she said smiling ear to ear.
---
Foster chuckled slightly at Cass playfully pulling his hair. Before he could even realize what she said, she had sprinted off. Determined to keep pace Foster ran after her, his hair flowing wildly as he dashed in between the masses of students. Although he was never one for sports, he was exceptionally quick and caught up to Cass in no time. Running next to her, he realized how pretty she was. She was roughly, if not, that same height as him, and her curly hair cascaded down her back and seemingly bounced with every stride she took. If Foster was interested in girls he could imagine Cass being a potential partner. However, he simply viewed her as a potential friend. A good one at that.
---
A slight grin formed across Josephine's face and she brushed a strand or two her hair out of her face. Despite how nervous she was just thinking about getting on a broom again, she couldn't find it in her to turn down the offer. "Sure, let's go get some," she said, trying to sound as confident and cool as possible. She'd hate for these two's first impression of her to be a coward. "Do we just uh, take some from the locker rooms?" she asked.
---
"I just came to see what new books had been added to the collection. I heard that Wallace Moroney published a new book about Transfiguration sometime over the summer. Thought I might see if I could find it on the shelves." Reece had always been fascinated with transfiguration. In fact, he was taking it as an elective this year and was quite excited to get a head start.

》》Ezekiel looked as though he had never smiled in his life, even if he had just minutes ago. He did, however, seem a little more lively, especially when Victor agreed so enthusiastically to his idea of tutoring. He loved to share his knowledge, and considering most teachers didn't appreciate him doing their job and the majority of Ravenclaw already knew as much as he did, he didn't usually get the chance. Exploring the grounds of Hogwarts, though, was a little more...intimidating. Naomi had acted like such a sweet girl so far and Victor, who seemed so nice, had agreed to go, so he didn't want to seem rude by declining. "Oh, um... Sure," he answered hesitantly, then looked back at Victor. He didn't smile this time, but he did look rather happy, as he said, "Care for Magical Creature is my favorite class." He just loved all the various creatures and how unique they were. With more confidence than last time, he added, "I can help you with it as well." When Naomi asked where to, he shrugged. He wasn't one for exploring, so he didn't really know where to start.
--------------
Julian barked a laugh out at that. "Pretty and funny. I like you already! Y'know, I think you and I are going to make great friends," he told her with a grin. As much as he flirted, he probably wouldn't try to date her. Dating teammates was just asking for drama that he didn't need or want. "But yes, I am. Just wait and see. I'll have detention before tomorrow morning, I guarantee it." As they reached the field, he finished his apple and set aside the core to throw away later. "So, what kinda broom do you have? Mine's nothing special, but it's sturdy and reliable." Quidditch was obviously a passion of his, from how fond of his broom he sounded.《《

Cass had taken it kind of slow, wanting to be fair to the boy and give him a fighting chance. After all, she played pretty much any sport she could (she was one of the better chasers out there), and she loved to run when she could. So when he caught up to her, she grinned at him, dimples showing fully. Her cheeks were slightly rosy, eyes glowing, and she looked radiant. She was focused on her running at first, so when she caught him looking at her, she faltered slightly, losing her rhythm for a second before catching it back quickly, staying next to him. He really was rather cute, and the way he was looking at her would normally make her nervous, if she wasn't so sure that he wasn't straight. Of course, he could be bi, in which case that could mean a number of things. However, the gate up ahead caught her attention and Cass flashed a sly grin at him, eyes glinting mischievously as she stretched her long legs out ever so slightly more and put on a burst of speed, pushing ahead of him to the gate, touching it just seconds before him. She laughed, the sound warm and contagious, eyes glowing and cheeks now truly red. "Haha, beat cha!" she teased, sticking her tongue out for a moment, only seeming slightly out of breath. She waved at the groundskeeper before turning to grin at Foster. "Ready?" she asked, pushing the gate open for him, heart rate still accelerated faintly from the race although her breathing had steadied.
Kale grinned, nodding in agreement, his own dimples appearing. "Wallace Moroney is pretty good," he agreed, glancing around. "Reckon they'll have more than one copy?" he asked, heading over to the shelves to begin looking, his height coming in handy as it was only a row from the top. He grabbed the copy, handing it down to the shorter boy before glancing through, frowning slightly. "I guess not. That's alright, I've already taken a few classes myself. It's really fascinating, how it works on the molecular level and whatnot," he said matter of factly, tilting his head slightly as he examined the other available titles. "This one looks rather dusty," he mused, pulling it from the shelf. Kale had a particular fondness for old books, enjoying their smell and the way the pages creased so easily, so worn and familiar seeming, even if he'd never read it before. He smiled, lightly brushing dust off the cover, seeming content.

Foster came to a stop to catch his breath. Cass had beat him and he chuckled slightly, "Yeah, yeah congratulations," he said between laughs. As his heart rate began to return back to normal he started to make his way through the gate, "Ready," he said with a smile. As he walked on down the hill he ran his hands through his hair a couple of times and tousled it a few. He was attempting the "unkempt, yet stylish" look lately. "So," he began to ask Cass, "What electives are you taking?"

Reece smiled, glad Kale also enjoyed Moroney. Most people tend to find his writing style rather dry. Too many facts, not enough opinion. "Well, I'm sure I'll have it done in a day or two," Reece said examining the book. It wasn't too long of a read, just a couple hundred pages. "I can pass it on to you once I'm done if you'd like?"

Naomi paused and thought for a second. "Maybe we could walk down to the lake?" she proposed, "It is rather nice out, I'm sure it's beautiful down there too!" Naomi looked up at the sky, quickly examining for any signs of foul weather that may be approaching. To her delight, all she saw were blue skies dotted with a few stray clouds here and there. She enjoyed being outside and active whenever possible. One of her favorite things to do back home was collect the prettiest flowers she could find and lay in the fields and see what shapes the clouds looked like. She was hopeful on their journey around the castle grounds she'd find a good spot to cloud gaze and collect flowers.

Cassiopeia pretended to wave to invisible fans. "Thank you, thank you," she laughed again, dropping her arms and letting them swing freely by her side. She took the pace he did, seeming fine with whatever. She watched him run his hand through his hair, snorting (in a way that would be deemed unladylike by some, but Cass didn't much care what they thought) and shaking her head. "What good is that doin' for ya, to keep tousling it like that?" she grinned, reaching up and ruffling his hair, completely and effectively undoing what barely styled look Foster had just managed. "Much better," she teased, dropping her arms and gazing around with wide eyes that seemed to take in everything all at once. "Oh, well the usual Care for Magical Creatures, just because I know about every creature out there, and Apparition. I run pretty fast, but I think apparating will be a bit faster," she said, laughing slightly. "What about you?" she asked, turning her gaze to him once more, studying his expression as they walked, bumping into him lightly as she tended to gravitate towards the people she was around without realizing it.
Kale grinned, wider now. "I'd like that, thank you. With Moroney, you'll get the facts out in no time without any of that wishy washy stuff," he said, particularly enjoying the straightforward and matter of fact manner the author used, matching his own tone most times. "And if you're interested, I'd be glad to trade with you. This book has some particularly good diagrams, from what I've gleaned already," he said, thumbing gently but briefly through the pages before shutting it, sneezing in response to the dust he had stirred up.

Foster laughed and rolled his eyes in a joking matter as she messed up his already messy hair. "Why be a witch when you could be a hairdresser?" he joked friendly slightly prodding her with his elbow. He quickly thought of which electives he was taking himself, "I believe I'm registered for Care for Magical Creatures as well!" he said happily, glad he'd be seeing a friendly face there tomorrow. "I'm also taking Divination, I'm really fascinated by it." As they walked on he noticed Cass occasionally, and unknowingly, bumping into him every so often. Every now and then Foster would playfully hip bump her back, slightly teasing her.

"No problem," Reece answered. "Yeah, a trade sounds good to me." Reece was always eager to get his hands on as many books as possible. He now had three books to keep him occupied for the next week or so. "Bless you!" Reece said, his own face slightly scrunching up from the small cloud of dust, attempting to suppress his own sneeze. He began to scan the bookshelves again, seeing if anything jumped out and caught his attention. "Any other reccomendations?"

"You're a lifesaver!" Victor said with a wide grin. He knew he must look like a fool all this time, but Victor was very bad at hiding his emotions. Whatever he felt, he showed. It was both a curse and gift. Not that he really cared. There was nothing to hide. After all, Ezekiel might be his saving grace this year in his electives. Victor could manage the core, hopefully. "The lake is near that Forbidden forest, "He said the name slowly as if a bit unsure if it that was really its name, "right?" He asked. He remembered seeing the trees from the window and the headmaster reminding everyone to stay away. It just seemed strange wards weren't placed around the area.

Cassiopeia laughed at his comment, wrinkling her nose slightly. "I'll be the witchiest hair dresser in all of Scotland!" she giggled, elbowing him back. She was a bit rough and tumble, but seemed to be mindful of her strength, her elbowing firm but not enough to hurt. Her eyes lit up when he said he was signed up for Care of Magical Creatures, clapping her hands excitedly. "Oh it's absolutely my favorite-tied with Herbology, that is," she said, smiling warmly. "Divination is hands down the most mind boggling elective in the history of all electives ever," she said, noting the hip bump. She bumped him back, no shame in it, and glanced around, staying closer than most people usually did with others they didn't know that well. Of course, that was just Cassiopeia; always the people pleaser. "I love Professor Trewlaney-she has the most beautiful eyes, you know, even though most people make fun of how large her glasses make them look. I think they forget to look at what's behind them," she sighed, shaking her head lightly. "I didn't sign up this year, but I go up whenever I get the chance. Maybe I'll catch you reading your tea leaves of death sometime, yeah?" she said, eyes widening slightly on the word 'death'.
Kale smiled, seeing the same thirst for knowledge that he had echoed in Reece, and he felt a slight pride in his chest that his house was so full of people that were constantly looking to better their education, and themselves. He tilted his head at the boy's request, suppressing a laugh at the nose scrunch, trying to be polite as he turned, scanning the upper shelves intently and letting Reece glance at the lower ones. "Hmm," he mused, pulling one free but then shaking his head, putting it back. "Not nearly enough factual evidence," he said, providing explanation before the boy could ask. "I mean, don't get me wrong, Wilson's works are phenomenal, but they lack a lot of solid evidence, and if you're a Moroney type of guy, it's not as interesting," he furthered his train of thought, continuing to move down the line of shelves, muttering occasionally to himself every now and again.

Naomi tried to remember if anyone had mentioned how close the lake was to the Forbidden Forest, but she couldn't recall. She looked over at Ezekiel, assuming the older boy would know since this wasn't his first year here, unlike Victor and herself. "I'm sure we'd be fine though if it is nearby," she said somewhat uncertain, "As long as we don't venture into the woods, right?"
