WelcomeDear Mr./Ms. [Insert Name],
We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on September 1st. We await your owl by no later than 31st July.
Yours sincerely,
Alexander Shepard Headmaster of Hogwarts
--- Rules-- OOC Rules -- 1) Follow the forum rules. 5) Don't overpower your character, and be aware of the strengths and weaknesses of your character. A first year is not going to be able to conjure a patronus, or be the best quidditch player, unless you're Harry, which no one is/should be. 6) Nothing over PG-13 please. Not too much blood and gore. You can still have blood, but don't include the gritty details for the sake of others. Make take it to PM if you want that stuff. 7) Honestly, I'm not going to say this rp is advanced or literate, because those often have different definitions for each person you ask. I will say that you should produce a small paragraph, about three sentences, for each post with good grammar and spelling. Mistakes are fine as long as they aren't frequent or make your post unreadable. 8) LGBTQ+ characters are allowed. If you don't like this, you may leave.
-- School Rules -- 1. No Bullying. 2. No skipping classes. 3. Don't enter the forbidden forest or go outside Hogwarts's grounds. Touching the Whomping Willow is also not allowed. 4. Do not try to hurt or play with the Giant Squid, or swim in the lake alone. No swimming in the winter. 5. Follow what the teacher instructs you to do. Do not fool around in class. 6. Be in your common rooms by sunset and do not leave them until sunrise. 7. Wear uniforms at all times in the halls and classrooms. All pieces of clothing must be worn correctly and neatly.
---- The GroundsHogwarts castle; the school is, unsurprisingly, in the middle of the map, or at least people put it in the middle. It is the main attraction and where the students take most of their classes, eat, and sleep. The castle has many rooms and many levels. The most popular way to get around is the moving staircases.
The Forbidden Forest; A dark forest with many secrets and terrors hidden in its shadows. Along with the many beasts, a centaur clan lives in the forest. Everything in the forest has become strangely more hostile.
The Great Lake; Home to the Giant Squid and many other aquatic life.
Hogwart's Greenhouses; Right off of the castle is the Hogwarts greenhouses. The herbology classes are often held here unless a test is being given.
Owlery; A short walk away from the castle and is were all the owl's are kept. It isn't very clean and smells like, well, owls.
Hogwarts Quidditch pitch; This is where the Quidditch games are held as well as practice and flying classes.
Hogwarts wall; A stone wall that encompasses all but Hogsmeade. It is impossible to climb, unless someone knew the spells to get over or finds a hole in the wall.
Hogsmeade; A town just out of Hogwarts's grounds. 3rd years and up can venture into this town with parent permission. Popular shops include Zonko's Joke Shop, Honeydukes, and The Three Broomsticks. There are more shops, but those are the ones students mostly venture into.

About ----For those of you who have never read a Harry Potter book or seen a movie, or just want a refresher, Hogwarts is a school for the magically gifted. It prides itself on creating a both safe and interesting learning environment for young witches and wizards to grow into their full potential. There are many classes and electives for the students to take in hope they will find their true interest and be able to grow into fine witches and wizards. Core Astronomy Charms Defense Against the Dark Arts Flying (1st years only) Herbology History of Magic Potions Transfiguration
Electives - 3rd year and up & only 2 Alchemy (6th and 7th year) Apparition (6th and 7th year) Arithmancy Care for Magical Creatures Divination Muggle Studies Study of Ancient Runes
What's different now? Well, mostly small things. In this universe, all of the book characters do not exist, and it is set in more modern times. The school still prides itself on its heritage, so phones and other muggle electronics will not be accepted. Even if a student were to bring this along, magic is in place to jam the devices.
I would like for there to be a more extensive list of pets students can have. I would like to include basically every pet that would could find at a pet store, plus maybe some more magical or unusual ones, like ravens.
---- PlotMain; The wizarding world finds itself detached from each other at times. The council has decided to try to unite the community and what better way to do that then to create an exchange program. Each year, two students will be chosen at random to go to another school. For an example, two students from the American wizarding school will come to Hogwarts and two students from Hogwarts will go to the American wizarding school. Of course, this is tricky with the different languages and such, but there is magic for that. The council has no doubt that this will bridge the ever-growing gap in the wizarding community.
0/2 Castelobruxo (South America) 1/2 Beauxbatons Academy of Magic (Western Europe) 0/2 Durmstrang Institute (Eastern Europe) DOES NOT ACCEPT MUGGLEBORNS 0/2 Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry (North America) 0/2 Koldovstoretz school (Russia) 1/2 Uagadou School of Magic (Africa) 1/2 Mahoutokoro School of Magic (Japan)
Rules 1. Will be sorted into houses for the stay 2. Will be allowed to wear robes from either Hogwarts and home school 3. Must follow Hogwart's rules and Britain wizard rules 4. Will not be able to be a prefect or head boy/girl
Of course, things can never go smoothly. A entity has moved into the forbidden forest. Its origin and purpose is unknown, but it certainly isn't friendly. The longer an living being stays in its presence, the madder and crazier it gets. Beasts start to crawl out of the forest and onto the grounds. Some attack the students and others just seem to be running from something. Needless to say, the Ministry tries to take action to protect their pride. They send in groups to help clear the forest and sets up barriers, but whatever is in the forest, feeds on magic. The groups, if they are lucky, come out of the forest with a mad gleam in their eyes. Of course, the students try to take charge. Using n odd room as their 'base', they gather information and start to plan strategies to get into the forest and distract the teachers.
Side; none...yet.
Events; Like the triwizard tournament, they will have events. Unlike the tournament, this events will be something everyone can join in and will happen every weekend. Most will be based off of something native to the guest's school/homeland. A example would be a showing off of Abraxan horses, which are a specialty of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, or a test in Herbology, which is something the Castelobruxo students usually excel in.
---- The JoiningCharacter name - year - blood/heritage - school, house, include head boy/girl or perfect if wanted ex. Gryffindor "Where dwell the brave at heart, their daring, nerve and chivalry set Gryffindors apart."
---- About the HouseGryffindor is the house of fire and usually act as if a fire burns within them. They are considered the most spirited of all the houses, as well as the most brave. The members of this house are also daring, courageous, and have nerves of steel. Gryffindors are also known for their chivalry, reckless, and selfless nature, which contradicts their rival's, Slytherin, traits. Their traits often cause may houses to call them foolish or arrogant.
The Gryffindor tower is protected by the picture of the Fat Lady. The common room is cozy with large armchairs and a warm fireplace. There are also arched windows overlooking the Forbidden Forest, Hogwarts lake, and the Quidditch field. Their dorms are first split by gender then by year. The dorms have mahogany four-poster beds with scarlet curtains and chests at the foot of the bed. They have a small stove in the middle of the room to keep the room warm.
The head of the house is Normus Helios, the transfiguration teacher.
---- Head Boy and Head Girl---- Prefects---- MalesJulian Galloway - 5th year - Half-blood - Hogwarts 15 - Cypress, Dragon heartstring core - N/A - No pet. Julian resembles Miles in more ways than one. He shares his brother's short and slightly wavy chestnut brown hair, as well as both Miles's and Ezekiel's turquoise-colored eyes. Julian has the same long, sharp face and pointed jaw. His skin is very tan, covered in freckles and riddled with little scars across his hands, legs and arms from playing too roughly as a child. Julian is the most muscular of the three, as well as the tallest, standing at about six foot two. He also has a pale, half-circle shaped birthmark on his left cheek. When he's not wearing robes, he loves wearing ripped jeans, band t-shirts and combat boots, as well as a variety of different bracelets. Julian is much more playful than both his brothers. He's energetic and often doesn't know what to do with all of his energy. He has a good sense of human, is incredibly sociable, and just generally loves to be around people. He's also a rather nice and generous guy, though he tends to get into quite a bit of trouble around the school and at home. While his temper isn't nearly as bad as Miles's, he does tend to take things personally, especially when it comes to his brothers. His mother was a witch, but his father was human. He was so excited when he was told he'd been accepted to Hogwarts. When they were sorted in Houses, he was the most devastated to find out that Ezekiel wouldn't be in Gryffindor with them and sometimes misses his brother more than Miles thinks he should. [Julian is the youngest of the triplets; his brothers are Ezekiel and Miles. ] Julian is taking Divination and Care for Magical Creatures. His favorite class is Defense Against the Dark Arts and he's much more open about being bisexual than Ezekiel is. He's also one of the beaters for the Gryffindors.
Victor LeFevre - 4rd year - Halfblood - from Beauxbatons Academy of Magic 14 years - Silver lime with a dragon heartstring core - Unknown - Screech owl named Lux Victor is that person you notice in the halls of Hogwarts. First, he's tall. He is about 5'7" and claims he hasn't stopped growing. Second, his hair always changes. Not naturally, of course, but rather with a spell he learned. He hasn't actually learned how to properly use it as he really can't choose which hair color it will change to. Oops. He hasn't changed the color of anything else. His eyes are a soft brown and his skin is a light walnut color, but turns into a darker shade durning the school year from the time he spends practicing. Victor is also lean with some muscle from Quidditch. / Victor is the people person all introverts fear. He will try to strike up a conversation with anyone around him. He's pretty loud and loves to be dramatic. His hands always wave around and his voice has two settings, loud and louder. He just doesn't realize how loud he is being, all caught up in his own world. Victor will listen to his friends or even a stranger speak, but be ready for him to ask a lot of questions or become way to invested. While he is passionate around his friends, he isn't passionate about school. He also isn't the brightest or concerned with his future. He is very relaxed with school work and does the bare minimum. Not much of a hard worker, but makes up for it in his kindness and work put in to make others happy. He is a people pleaser and will normally go along with what others want. Victor isn't afraid of a little risk or troublemaking, though he does draw the line when it gets life-threatening. He was abandoned by his mother at a young age. When he was three, he was adopted by two witches who noticed his magical ability. From then on he had a pretty normal childhood with loving parents, who spoiled him a bit. He is French, with some blood relatives also from the Middle East but he doesn't talk to them much. [He has no siblings.] Victor is taking Care of Magical Creatures, which he stinks at, and Study of Ancient Runes, which he still stinks at but likes more. He is best at Divination, but doesn't know this, and considers himself best at defensive magic, as he seems to have an uncanny ability to guess where the person will strike next.
---- FemalesNocawe Debesa, nicknamed 'Sunday' - Year 5 - Half-blood - Uagadou 15 years old - Maple with a core made of fwooper feather - Dolphin - An African serval cat named Nelson Nocawe is a stunning young woman of mixed race. She has smooth, golden skin and curly black hair, which she currently styles as a flattering long afro. It frames her heart-shaped face well, and compliments her jawline. Nocawe can always be seen with her plump red lips curled into a bright smile, showing off her dimples. She is a bit shorter than the average woman, but she doesn't mind. Her body is shaped like an hourglass, with quite a lot of curves and thick thighs, but she is still considered skinny. / Nocawe has a lively, optimistic personality and a bright outlook on life. She's a friendly girl ready to strike up a conversation with just about anyone, and it's hard not to like her. When she was picked to go to Hogwarts, her adventurous side instantly made her imagine exotic castles, new classes and hot foreign guys. While she does of course miss her friends back home a lot, it is not going to stop her from enjoying her stay in Scotland. Since she lives in South-Africa and school is in Uganda, she is already used to travelling far away from her loved ones. At Uagadou students learn to be me much less dependent on their wands, as wands are actually an European invention that hasn't really taken root in Africa yet. Many students even inherit wands from their parents, since there are few wand makers around. Nocawe has her own wand, but that is mainly because the European influence is stronger in South Africa than in most other African countries. Still, Nocawe is much more used to casting spells using just her hand, something that is considered highly advanced magic in Europe. This might make Nocawe seem like a better witch than she actually is. Uagadou students are also famously skilled in astronomy, alchemy and self-transfiguration. Nocawe is the daughter of a Xhosa witch who's a famous activist for muggle rights, and an Afrikaner (white) muggle. She speaks both Xhosa and Afrikaans as her native languages, but knows English well, too. At Uagadou all classes are taught in English, but as a lingua franca. As a result, she has a great vocabulary, though with a slightly strange accent. [She is the second of five daughters, all of whom are witches.] At Hogwarts, she is taking Care for Magical Creatures and Alchemy as electives. The latter is actually just for 6th and 7th grade, but since syllabus is different at Uagadou, she is more than capable of taking the class. She is also a chaser for Gryffindor, and dreams of a career as a quidditch player. Note: Since her name sounds so foreign to the Hogwarts students, she plans on going by the nickname 'Sunday' during her stay, which is the meaning of her name.

Ravenclaw "If you've a ready mind, where those of wit and learning, will always find their kind."
About the HouseRavenclaw's love to learn and discover new things. It doesn't have to be academic topics only. They tend to have an undying thirst for the creative arts as well. They are known to be wise and intelligent individuals, who celebrate differences among themselves and others. They like originality and are one of the more accepting houses. Wit is also prized among the members, as their founder once said, "Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure".
Ravenclaw makes no effort to hide their common room entrance. Their door has an bronze eagle-shaped knocker which will ask a question to anyone who knocks. There isn't a right or wrong answer. There is a tight spiral staircase leading up to the common room after the door. The common room itself is very open. It has large, arching windows that show the entire Hogwarts campus, and the ceiling is domed and decorated with stars. Blue and bronze silks, which are attached to the ceiling, flutter in the wind. Scattered around the common room are tables and chairs and bookshelves line the wall. A white marble statue of the fonder sits next to the door to the dorms. The dorms are split by gender and then again by year. In the dorm is a four-poster bed with sky blue curtains and bedsheets.
The head of Ravenclaw is Ava Dedrick, Hogwarts master of Charms.
---- Head Boy and Head GirlName & Info
Emily Porter - 7th year - Halfblood 17 years - hornbeam with a core of unicorn hair - Turtle - A cream Scottish fold named Fluffy. She is massive and old. With her usual bundle of tomes, glasses, and pristine look, Emily would be pegged as a stereotypical Ravenclaw from the moment anyone lays eyes on her. Her black hair is woven around in a neat bun at all times. On bad days, she resorts to a ponytail. Emily is tall and has some fat on her, which is blames on her habit of snacking while studying. Her sky blue, oval rimmed glasses frame a lovely set of distinctly almond-shaped, deep chocolate brown eyes. She has freckles that cover most of her face but are more dense around her nose and upper cheeks. The freckles, which are a light brown/copper, stand out against her pale skin. She almost always wears the Hogwarts uniform. When it gets colder, she has a scarf in Ravenclaw colors. Emily isn't one to go out and seek social interactions, as she is normally took busy/caught up in something. She will talk if someone comes to her first, or will seek if she has a question. While she is private, she will attempt to help other with their problems. It might take a long time for her to come up with some plan, and her plan might be a bit over complicated as she likes to "map out" every little bit. She is also very inquisitive and will search to the ends of the earth for the answer to something. However, she is fairly forgetful of things that she isn't interested in, like assignments. A late assignment isn't rare for this student and she often has little slips of paper to help her remember things. Her mother is a prominent alchemist and Emily's only parent growing up. She still looks up to her mother and wants to follow in her footsteps. [None] Of course, she is taking alchemy. For her second elective, she is excitingly taking muggle studies. She was always found the muggle way of life were her gap of knowledge lies.
---- Prefects---- MalesKuroyama Makoto - Year 7 - Muggle-born - Mahoutokoro 17 years old - A prestigous cherry wand with a core of occamy feather - Occamy - A female kneazle with silver fur and intelligent blue eyes Standing at 6'1, Makoto is taller than most of his Japanese peers. He has gained quite a lot of muscle from intense quidditch practice, but has maintained a lean, elegant body shape. With his dark, narrow eyes and stylish black hair, he resembles Ross Butler a lot, especially in his roles as Zach Dempsey and Reggie Mantle. (Only appearance-wise, however!) Makoto is a mature, highly intelligent young man. He is of a very curious and creative nature, but somehow still manages to seem graceful and composed at all times. While he is very academically gifted, he has made time for quidditch practice, as well. In his culture, being sporty and being smart aren't impossible opposites - rather, they go hand and hand. Makoto might become confused at the Hogwarts students' surprise that he's good at both. Some may think that Makoto is just too perfect, but that is not true at all. Despite his good looks and athletic success, he often struggles with getting good friends, especially boys. Many girls are thrown off by his visionary side, as well, so Makoto isn't accustomed to girls drooling after him, either. His best subjects are arithmancy, charms and transfiguration, in addition to his impressive quidditch skills. Makoto was adopted soon after birth by a gay muggle couple. He doesn't know who his parents were, but assumes they were muggles, since he was adopted through a Japanese muggle agency. One of his dads incidentally had a sister who is a witch, so he had some idea of what the wizarding world is like. His parents have always been extremely supportive of him, and while they don't completely understand all his subjects, they are just as overjoyed when he comes home in the spring with high grades. [Makoto has two younger adoptive siblings, but neither of them are magical.] I think he might be bisexual. His electives are arithmancy and alchemy. He is considering studing medicine.
Kale Pollux Aten - 6th - Muggle-born - Hogwarts 16 - Rowan, Univorn Hair, 14 3/4 inches - Black Bear - A Natterjack Toad named Castor Kale Pollux Aten was named for celestial beings. Kale after a moon of Jupiter, the largest gas giant, Pollux after one of the twin stars of the Gemini constellation (although Pollux is a singular, cooler yellow orange giant which is less complex than it's twin Castor, much like Kale's calmer demeanor compared to his twin's), and Aten is an asteroid group. Much like his sister, Kale had that same drive to learn. However, while Cass's was more for hard work and exploring, Kale's was a true desire to just learn and hold onto this knowledge. He loves learning, plain and simple. His ambition to constantly stimulate himself to be growing his knowledge, whether in academics or even in the creative arts, such as painting and writing, has created a highly intelligent boy. Not quite as sociable as his sister, Kale is a bit more of the "strong and silent" type. Towering above his giant of a sister at 6' 3", Kale is even more of a bean pole than her (if that's possible), but with more defined muscles than she. Blessed with the same tan skin and dimples as his sister, the two are pretty much identical save for their eyes. Unlike his sister's, Kale's are much darker in color and more intelligent than curious, constantly glued to some new book or new trinket he's fiddling with. A guilty pleasure of Kale's is handheld puzzles, like Rubik's cubes or little interlocking wood or metal trinkets the require precision and patient, methodical workings to undo them. He is also quite the fan of Wizard's Chess, and excels in Herbology due to his passion for plants and gardening, so he can often be found in the Greenhouse, constantly delving deeper into his knowledge of plants, or the library, tucked into some corner with piles of books, or outside wandering the grounds behind his sister with a book in hand. Kale grew up on a farm in Scotland, with an astronomer for a father and a veterinarian for a mother. Living out in the country, he and his sister often helped out around the small farm tending to the sheep and cattle as well as whatever strays they saw fit to take in at any given time. The farm also served as a foster/temporary sanctuary for any animals that his mom deemed injured enough to bring home, so he and his sister grew up caring for a variety of animals as well as plants, since their mother instilled in them a love for gardening (and basically the outdoors in general) at a very young age while their father instilled in them a love for outer space, filling their heads with dreams of the beyond. [Twin Sister is Cassiopeia Maia Aten] Straight, Care for Magical Creatures and Alchemy
Ezekiel Galloway - 5th year - Half-blood - Hogwarts 15 - Ash, Unicorn hair core - N/A - A mottled orange female kitten. Ezekiel looks almost nothing like his brothers. In fact, he looks so different that most people assume Julian and Miles are twins and he's their younger brother. Those few who are able to tell that they're triplets also assume he's the youngest, which he neither denies nor confirms. Ezekiel is shorter than his brothers, standing at a height of five foot five, and has a thin, scrawny kind of build. He has almost no muscle to be seen, though he has little fat as well. His skin is pale and covered in freckles and he has a small scar on his upper lip. One trait that he does share with his brothers is his long, sharp face and pointed jaw, though his lips are fuller and his nose is smaller. Zeke has long eyelashes and round eyes the color of turquoise. His hair barely reaches his ears and is a light blonde color, as well as wildly curly. When he's not wearing his robes, he enjoys wearing baggy hoodies, plain jeans and colorful shoes. He also owns a black beanie that, up until joining Hogwarts, he was rarely seen without. Ezekiel isn't even similar to his brothers in personality; he's the quiet one. He's wonderfully brilliant, but he's shy, and often lets that get in the way. While Zeke isn't nearly as hyper as them, he does enjoy the company of others, even if he is kind of awkward. He loves sitting down in a quiet spot with a good book, though. Zeke, for someone so shy, can be rather harsh when it comes to advice. He likes to put things bluntly. Zeke's mother was a witch, but his father was human. Despite having one magical parent, he had never actually wanted to go to Hogwarts. However, over the years, he's come to like it. [Julian and Miles are his brothers; he is the second oldest among the triplets. ] Zeke enjoys and excels at Care for Magical Creatures, though he also quite likes Transfiguratuon. His other elective is Study of Ancient Runes. Zeke doesn't talk about it much, even to his brothers, but he is bisexual. While he is a shy person, he's also the Ravenclaw seeker, having been talked into it by his brothers. If you asked him, though, he would tell you that he doesn't enjoy the sport much.

Hufflepuff "Where they are just and loyal, those patient Hufflepuffs are true, and unafraid of toil."
About the HouseIt's a shame, but safe to say Hufflepuff is the most overlooked house. Not many first years have heard about their house or achievements. This would be the cause of Hufflepuffs being a modest bunch. They are nonetheless lovers of hard work and dedication, and are not afraid of a little dirt. They are also known to be kind and tolerant, even patient as well. They are rarely competitive but, even more than some houses, have a loyalty to each other that cannot be broken. They are known to be loyal to their friends and to other members of their house.
The common room is accessable through a pile of barrels, but only after tapping barrel two from the bottom with a wand in the rhythm of 'Helga Hufflepuff'. If someone were to tap the wrong barrel or the incorrect number of times, the other barrels would burst and spray the intruder with vinegar. After tapping, the lid will open for the student to walk through to the common room. The common room is very homey. Small, round windows let natural light in as well as give a view of sweeping meadows and flowers in the spring. There are small fireplaces spotting the room along with sofas and chairs. Plants and books sit on tables and shelves. The dorms are separated by gender and year. Each person has a four-poster bed, covered in a patchwork quilt, and a copper bed warmer.
The head of Hufflepuff is Eugene Campbell, the master herbology professor of Hogwarts.
---- Head Boy and Head Girl---- Prefects---- Males Bion Karras - 6th year - Halfblood 16 years old - Ash with a unicorn hair core, semi-flexible - Wolf - Has a barn owl named Apollo Bion is a sturdy man. He has broad shoulders and a short yet powerful frame. His face is more baby face. It is soft, without a sharp jawline or sharp cheekbones. He has a bit of fat on his cheeks and a small scar on his right cheek. He has bright green, round eyes. Bion also has medium-length, ebony black hair that frames his face. He has clips to keep everything in place for games. / Bion is friendly, but a bit awkward around other people. Despite his awkwardness, he is very sassy when he gets comfortable around others. Naturally, he is very accepting and loyal to those he calls friends. He openly accepts their faults and always gives others second chances. From his time at home, he tends to be very trusting, almost to a fault. Unless you have messed with his friends, he tends to be very forgiving. After all, Bion isn't much of an adventurer and would almost always choose flight when given the option between flight or fight. But if his friends are doing something interesting or dangerous, he is going to tag along. Secretly, he is very competitive and hates loosing. He is passionate about Quidditch as it was one of the times he could do something with other magical people during the summer when they came back from school. His mother was a muggle and his father is a wizard. His father left soon after he met Bron's mother. His mother encouraged his magical abilities and tried to provide him with enough books to hone is ability. However, she didn't like the idea of him traveling so far for school. Because of this, Bion didn't go to school until his third year. He came to Hogwarts because he had to move to Ireland to stay with his grandparents as his mother became too sick. [No relations at Hogwarts] He is taking study of Ancient Runes and Apparition, which he is decent at both, but better at SoAR. He isn't sure what he wants to do, but is considering going into something medical. He is bisexual and is pretty open about it.
---- FemalesCassiopeia Maia Aten - 6th - Muggleborn - Hogwarts 16 - Cedar, Unicorn Hair, 14 1/2 inches - Saint Bernard (Dog) - A Maine Coone cat named Regulus aka Reggie Cassiopeia Maia Aten, was named after the stars. Cassiopeia after a northern constellation with a distinctive W shape, Maia after a blue-giant star in the Taurus constellation, and her last name even is the name of an asteroid group. This little, bright star was born with a thirst for knowledge. Whatever she could get her hands on and be educated about growing up, she wanted in on. Her passion for learning spilled out into other things: sports, music, dancing, etc. And anything she did, she excelled at, driven by her hard-working attitude and her need to succeed. Her need, however, turned into more of an obsession, and now Cass will do anything to be the best, regardless of the cost on herself. However, it puts someone else at risk, she has no sense of personal gain. Nothing has ever really been handed to Cassiopeia or her family, and this has created a lean, mean, tireless machine. This girl can go for hours on end with no complaining, eyes bright as the stars, and demeanor as cheerful as ever. It was this passion, dedication, and loyalty that landed her in Hufflepuff and not, surprisingly, Ravenclaw. In fact, it seems the longer and harder she works, the more energetic she becomes, her spontaneity shining through and her ability to multitask due to her ADHD paired with her OCD-esque attention to detail making this girl one bright shining superstar. Not to mention, she’s not too rough on the eyes. Long chestnut curls spiral down her back in a mass of untamable madness, just as chaotic and independent as her. Standing at about 5’9”, Cassiopeia is about as big around as a pencil. Her curves are small and subtle, and her body has that lithe build of a runner. Make no mistake, this girl is tougher than you think, her fiery personality and stubborn attitude as well as her unwavering loyalty have made her stronger, and even a little scrappy if she is defending someone she loves. Her skin is sun kissed, a rich tan, and dotted with freckles as numerous as the galaxies, mostly located on her nose and under her eyes on the apples of her cheeks, and along her shoulders. Her eyes are wide, and they’re a rich brown with that "doe eye" effect in them. Her cheeks are often rosy, and she has little dimples when she grins, which is pretty often. Cassiopeia grew up on a farm in Scotland, with an astronomer for a father and a veterinarian for a mother. Living out in the country, she and her brother often helped out around the small farm tending to the sheep and cattle as well as whatever strays they saw fit to take in at any given time. The farm also served as a foster/temporary sanctuary for any animals that her mom deemed injured enough to bring home, so she and her brother grew up caring for a variety of animals as well as plants, since their mother instilled in them a love for gardening (and basically the outdoors in general) at a very young age while their father instilled in them a love for outer space, filling their heads with dreams of the beyond. Slytherin "You'll make your real friends, those cunning folk use any means, to achieve their ends."
About the HouseMany people look at Slytherins like they are going to hex everyone in the school or suddenly turn into Voldemort. It's sad how fast a couple of people can ruin a house's reputation. Not to mention, much as they deny it, the other houses have produced just as many dark wizards as Slytherin. Many people also call Slytherin heartless or cutthroat because of their cunning or ambitious natures. However, inner-house loyalty is strong in those chosen for this noble house. They would never leave one of their own behind. They do have cunning, creativity, resourcefulness, and high ambitions, but those are qualities found in many great witches and wizards.
The entrance to this house is a stone wall down in the dungeons and underneath the lake. It could easily be mistaken for a plain wall for those who aren't a Slytherin. A password must be said while the student is touching the wall if the wall is to open. The common room as a mysterious, but peaceful feel to it. Since the common room is under the lake, the windows show the aquatic scenery, such as the Giant Squid or fish. The light in the rooms is mostly green, but the fireplace adds an orange glow. The dorms are separated by gender and then by year. The rooms have four-poster beds with green, silk curtains and bedspreads.
The current head of the Slytherin house is Alois Morrmont, the Hogwarts potion master.
---- Head Boy and Head Girl---- Prefects---- MalesMorgan Colton - 1st year - Pureblood 11 years - His wand is made out of willow and has a unicorn hair core. - Unknown - Doesn't have a pet, but has a stuffed cat Morgan is of pretty average height and weight. Nothing stands out in that department. He actually looks pretty average. He has short, black hair and light blue eyes. He can look pretty young and innocent, especially when he smiles. He wears a Hogwarts uniform on most of the time, including the cloak, but will take off the pants in exchange for sweatpants when he is in the common room. Failure crushes him and shatters his confidence pretty quickly. He can be in a pretty vile after he fails, especially in front of people. So, he doesn't quit easily and will drive himself to the breaking point to learn anything, so he doesn't get left behind or forgotten. The fear of being forgotten does also lead him to having trust issues and causes his manipulative behavior. Keeping people at a distance decreases the damage they can cause, right? Morgan is friendly and very helpful, but mostly so he can ask for favors in his time of need. There will be very little people he can actually call friends. Plus, he is a bit intimidated by the older or scarier looking students. He knows they aren't necessary bad, but that doesn't stop his stomach from tying itself up in knots and him acting a little extra nice. He may be a bit of a coward, but Morgan won't stand for someone insulting Slytherin, the house or the members. He will defend his house until his last breath. [He has three other siblings, two who are in their last year and one who is in her 5th year. His parents are both purebloods who work in the ministry. Despite this, his family are still close. He just felt like his siblings got more of the attention.]
Name & Info
---- FemalesRowena Griffiths - Year 6 - Pureblood - Hogwarts 16 - Aspen and dragon heartstring, thirteen and three-quarter inches, rigid - Octopus - No current pet, but claims to be on friendly terms with the Giant Squid Rowena is a strange, but ravishing youth. Dark locks tumble down her back in thick waves, before being cut off rather bluntly. Her eyes are a deep sea-green colour, creating a stark contrast to her fair skin and making her eyes her most prominent feature. Surrounded by thick lashes and usually seen wide open, they capture her intelligent and curious, but sometimes rather intimidating nature. Her eyebrows are dark and quite thick, making her eyes pop further. At 5'9" she is quite tall, with womanly curves and a thin waist, though she is not unusually skinny in any way. / Rowena resembles her namesake, the founder of Ravenclaw house, in many ways. She is highly creative and intellectual, and has a strange love of random trivia, which makes her an exceptionally fun conversationalist – at least for those as equally knowledge-thirsty as herself. The natural question then is of course, why isn’t she in Ravenclaw? Her curious, philosophical character would surely make her the perfect fit in her namesake’s house? Her maternal family even claim to be Welsh cadet branch of the Ravenclaws. The truth is simply that Rowena herself, when given the choice, saw that she would get the most out of her potential in Slytherin. She has high ambitions for herself, and while most Ravenclaws are clever and amazing and bright, they don’t care as much about greatness as Slytherins do. Slytherin’s main purpose is to produce great wizards and witches. The kind that will go down in history. Something in Rowena’s character is extremely drawn to that idea, and while she doesn’t necessarily intend to become the next Merlin, she likes to think that she will make her mark on the world, even if it’s just in some peculiar, nerdy field of magic. Additionally, Slytherin is a place where her rather macabre and dark humour never has made her feel odd or mean, as it often does. While Rowena doesn’t at all mind people calling her weird, she will go out of her way not to seem vile or unkind. Solidarity and everyday kindness are important ideals to her, even though she may seem intimidating at first. There are few things she hates more than people thinking that Slytherin is “the evil house”, and so she works hard to prove that myth false. Rowena comes from an intelligent Welsh family. Both her parents come from old, pureblood lines, but neither discriminate against muggleborns or muggles. Rather, they are very fascinated by them. Rowena’s father has even studied muggle culture, with focus on arts and literature. Shakespeare is a particular favourite of his, and when Rowena was young he used to tell the rather dark tales to her as bedtime stories. That way he got her to inherit his love of muggle literature. Rowena’s mother is an acclaimed magizoologist. She frequently brings home lots of different animals to study, so Rowena is especially good at Care for Magical Creatures. [She has no relations at Hogwarts.] Rowena is pan, and she’s taking Care for Magical Creatures and Alchemy as her electives this year. She dreams of becoming a wandmaker, and wants Ollivander to teach her his ways. She is known at Hogwarts for her duelling skills, and was the Slytherin prefect last year.

Victoria "Tori" Addix - 4th year - Muggle born- Hogwarts- Ravenclaw 15 - 11-inch slightly bendy Walnut with a dragon heartstring core - Would be a Norwegian Forest cat - A gecko she named Newt (If thats okay, if not its going to be a norwegian forest cat named Oliver) Tori is a tiny girl, around 5"1' and about 100 pounds soaking wet. She always looks a good year younger than her actual age, currently being mistaken for a 4th year (but better than when she was on the Quidditch team her 2nd year and people complained of a first year being on the team. After that she quit.)She currently has short, black hair thats cut in a pixie cut but the tips change color depending on her emotion (a product of an experiment she and a few of her friends attempted last year.). She has olive colored skin and bright cobalt blue eyes, her skin is lightly freckled. It is usually nice and tanned, despite her never really going outside considering she throws much of her energy on in-doors activities, but her family has that kind of skin that seems to tan quite easily so it works out in her favor. Her nose is slightly crooked, the result of a fight she had gotten into when she was younger and was going to a muggle school, her canines are slightly pointed, giving her grin a rather sharp look. Tori, around newcomers, is rather shy and incredibly awkward, her sense of humor verging on the dark side of humor so she usually tries to keep her mouth shut when it comes to that. She has the tendency to pronounce words wrong because she's read more than shes ever really spoke. However, if an extravert ended up adopting her she would end up mirroring their actions, becoming more outgoing and less on the reserved side. She's loyal to her friends, once she makes them, but has the tendency to disappear for days on end if someone doesn't make sure she socializes and eats.
[Relations] Other[don't need]; Most likely Ace, has a love for potions and for magical creatures, and is known for attempting to bring home magical creatures for the summer..

Ezekiel Galloway - 5th year - Half-blood - Hogwarts - Ravenclaw 16 - Ash, Unicorn hair core - Patronus* - A mottled orange female kitten.
Other[don't need]; Zeke enjoys and excels at Care for Magical Creatures, though he also quite likes Transfiguratuon.
Julian Galloway - 5th year - Half-blood - Hogwarts - Gryffindor 16 - Cypress, Dragon heartstring core - Patronus* - No pet.
Other[don't need]; Julian is taking Divination and Care for Magical Creatures. His favorite class is Defense Against the Dark Arts and he's much more open about being bisexual than Ezekiel is. He's also one of the beaters for the Gryffindors.
Miles Galloway - 5th year - Half-blood - Hogwarts - Gryffindor 16 - Willow, Kelpie hair core - Patronus* - A small grey and white female screech owl. Description/Personality History
[Miles is the oldest triplet among the three; Julian and Ezekiel are his brothers.]
Other[don't need]; such as sexuality, electives, dislike/liked class, and goals.

Nocawe Debesa, nicknamed 'Sunday' - Year 5 - Half-blood - Uagadou, Gryffindor 15 years old - Maple with a core made of fwooper feather - Dolphin - An African serval cat named Nelson Nocawe is a stunning young woman of mixed race. At Uagadou students learn to be me much less dependant on their wands, as wands are actually an European invention that hasn't really taken root in Africa yet.
I have more characters coming up, but I don't have the time to fill out the form right now.)

Thank you, I spent ages looking up Xhosa names and African wildlife. But I must admit that do I love researching foreign cultures, so here's one more exchange student:
Kuroyama Makoto - Year 7 - Muggle-born - Mahoutokoro, Ravenclaw 17 years old - A prestigous cherry wand with a core of occamy feather - Occamy - A female kneazle with silver fur and intelligent blue eyes Standing at 6'1, Makoto is taller than most of his Japanese peers. He has gained quite a lot of muscle from intense quidditch practise, but has maintained a lean, elegant body shape. With his his dark, narrow eyes and stylish black hair, he resembles Ross Butler a lot, especially in his roles as Zach Dempsey and Reggie Mantle. (Only appearance-wise, however!) Makoto is a mature, highly intelligent young man. He is of a very curious and creative nature, but somehow still manages to seem graceful and composed at all times. While he is very academically gifted, he has made time for quidditch practise, as well. [Makoto has two younger adoptive siblings, but neither of them are magical.] Other[don't need]; I think he might be bisexual. His electives are arithmancy and alchemy. He is considering studing medicine.
Done!)

Yeah, the information about each school is pretty interesting. It's upsetting how little information they have on the Russian school tho. Still, it's pretty fun looking up how each culture handled magic. )
