I'm alright! I've been playing lots of dnd and getting distracted with games/manga/anime and such heh... Work has been getting better, I've actually been getting out on time more often than not as of late xD]]

Alice thought back to the note he had found. Oh. Right. We're supposed to be 'dead' here. Wait. "S-Small? Insignificant??" The young man gritted his teeth at the insult, his quickly-formed opinion of Sally sinking even further than it had already. He glared up at her as she towered over him. "At least you have something to return to," he muttered to himself. When Sally finally backed off, he released a little sigh of relief but played it off as a show of apathy. Then Alice gave a shrug as he scooted off the bed and stood before her - his height really not increasing much from when he had been seated atop the mattress. "So I'm your job now? You're still working even though we're "dead"?" He looked at her with a haughty grin, quite proud of his comeback. "I would complain about not getting a say in the matter - and I still might - but I guess I can't fault you for choosing such a fine specimen as myself to focus on," Alice went on, Sally's whole 'distrusting bystanders' comment going in one ear and out the other. I am sorry my boi is causing Sally such a headache but I am having so much fun with him xD]] Sally smeared a bit. “Oh trust me, I’m working,” she said. She meant it too. This was really a time when she needed this. Not that she was going to explain why, but if she didn’t take on something, it was bound to be more harm for both herself and for others. Vampires needed to be focused on something. And if she didn’t start acting like a member of the Watch, she’d break. They really didn’t need her going after bl … bloo … that. “Unless you intended to sleep while you’re dead, because I’m sure that makes so much sense.” Her eyebrows were pushed together, very judgmentally. “You were nearby, so you’re about as fine as I’m expecting.” She really didn’t care how bloated he wanted his ego though. She pointed a finger toward the door. “That direction look interesting to you?” she asked. It was a rhetorical question. (I'm having a great time with this! Please no worries!) Alice rolled his eyes. "More sense than working," he muttered. He glanced in the direction Sally was pointing and gave an exaggerated shrug. "Yeah, sure, whatever. Like no was even an option anymore," he said, starting to head for the door. "But as I was saying, who's gonna pay you if you're dead? Huh? What's the point?" Yes, unfortunately, he was actually continuing on this tangent. "I didn't know I was supposed to have my afterlife resume ready. And when else am I supposed to make up on all my lost sleep when I was alive--" He absentmindedly kicked a trinket laying just outside the doorway as he ranted and it rolled a bit before crackling into a show of bright sparks. The young man had clearly not been expecting this and in his shock let out a rather high-pitched screech. "Whatintheworld?!?" |

It's been very tiring, but also pretty fun. Cue multitasking while playing video games. Got the first vaccine today too, so that's gonna have some fun tomorrow.) |

"Whatintheworld?!?"Sally reached out and grabbed the funny, funny man's arm, pulling him away from the sparking item. "Wouldn't it be nice to have an officer around now and again with that sort of thing going on?" she practically purred. She couldn't help still being angry, even with results. It was annoying that this was the situation that they were in, but here they were. "As for why I'm still working on that one. Maybe you can help work it out for me, huuum?" She really just wanted him away from things that would potentially explode, but by the look of things, that wasn't go to happen. Real pity. She couldn't lock him up either. That seemed like defeating the purpose of getting him out of his room in the first place. "Just think of it as getting a bit of exercise before getting a really good night's sleep," she said dryly. |

"Museum's don't have their exhibits wandering around, you don't see a smilodon wandering the gift shop." Dipper rolled his eyes. "Unless that's not how it works? Not in your world at least." He shrugged, finding the words leaving him confused. Who knew the multiverse or their museum's could be so confusing? "I shouldn't be that surprised but Sable is real!?" He wasn't expecting that, plot twists hadn't been his speciality. That was made evident from his days skimming through the journal. The author had his secrets out in plain sight if he had only looked deep enough, thought this sable fellow wasn't like an open book. The boy held tightly onto his note, grip becoming sweaty just from the revelation. He faced Myrnin more interested now in what he had to say. "Ahem, got a bit excited there." Too many times this would happen. "That whole pulse thing I can see happening? I don't think I've seen my chest rise or anything that points that we're still completely alive." He tapped his chin, still coming to terms with the sparse information given to him. If he was being honest with himself it was awfully convenient he'd run into someone claiming they'd met the museum's owner, claiming answers the vampire don't seem to believe himself not whole heartedly like he expected to. "Never heard of a living museum before, I see," said Myrnin kindly. "It's where they keep funny animals, I think." Or maybe they'd stopped doing that - he couldn't remember. "As for smilodons, I haven't seen one yet, but that doesn't mean anything. Might have seen a gift shop. Bit removed from here - would take a walk." Myrnin didn't hold it against Dipper for not assuming that Sable was real. It wasn't outside the realm of possibility for him to be fake. It was just that he wasn't. Sable was confusing. "Sadly, he is very real. Just not very present. He sometimes speaks through the speaker in the hallway." Myrnin pointed toward the edges of the hallway. There were, however, no obvious signs of technology. Certainly no speakers. "Join the no pulse club," said Myrnin with a chuckle. "You're welcome to not believe me of course. I wont mind. But you can take what I say into account." |
