She looked out the window and noticed a couple clouds rolling in "do you know what the weather is going to be like? If it starts storming, I'm going to have to book a room somewhere." |

Bernard nodded. "All right. You'll start learning the ropes as you spend more time here. I'll be happy to answer any specific questions, though." He paused. "Did you just say 'we'? That's right... you came here with someone else, didn't you?"

Ash rolled her eyes and went back to chatting with Dave. "So... how usy have we been?" she asked. "Not too busy, thank God." Dave replied. "Then we can just sit in the back and watch Netflix?" Ash asked. "Probably." Dave nodded.

((Okay, but Aspen just told her about her hatred of the idea of alignment, and she's a random kid in a Subway, so I don't see why she'd receive an offer anyway. Also Aspen just totally ignored Mariana's perfectly normal question, so I'm not sure how you want Zuresian to respond...))

A terrible habit, she's not that old yet "thanks I guess." Rain was beautiful, but not if you were a bird or a cat or animal. Elephants didn't mind too much but she couldn't exactly shift into an elephant in the middle of the city. That'd attract way too much attention so she stood and rang the bell for assistance. |

"Do you happen to know where a hotel or motel is? Preferably not one with questionable customers." She didn't want the Marriott or anything, just not a Motel 6 that's customers partake in illegal activities. Too many times people have come up to offer her money for unsavory deeds. The memories sent a cold shiver up her spine. |

Mariana says, leaving the shop and heading around back. She wanted to write a letter to the twins so she shifted into a bird and flew to the top of the building before shifting back. She pulled her notebook from her bag and began writing. |

The two of them quickly found a secluded, mossy area covered by low-hanging tree branches. Möer took on the form of a large but lean grizzly, settled down, and quickly went still without so much as a goodnight.

That was a very typical thing for a teenager to assume, Bernard supposed. Particularly such an intelligent one. "You're sixteen. Your being here doesn't change the fact that you're still not legal adults," he explained gently. "It'll just be somebody else who lives on base who can take legal responsibility for you. I'm sure they're in the process of assigning one and will let you know soon who it is."
((Now that I'm thinking it out, it would in fact have to be somebody who lives on base, which Bernard does not.))
