Tannyll recoiled immediately, closing his mind off, before he realised it was the hatchling. "..." He paused, then slowly opened his mind to Cobak, letting him probe. The hatchling stared up at him with frustrated concentration, too inexperienced to be able to fully make the link, only able to send broken images and feelings, until eventually even the images weren't working. Instead, he sent flashes of panicked colour and emotions, trying to tell Tannyll something was wrong with Silus.

Tannyll frowned, then slowly turned to look at Silus, examining him closely. He placed his hand on the boys forehead, before closing his eyes and concentrating as best he could.

Cobak nervously climbed around the male elf to sit in his lap, watching as he tried to figure out what was wrong with Silus, whining softly with concern. Cobak really didn't want his rider to be crippled or hurt.

Tannyll frowned deeper as he felt over Silus' body. "Too much magic..." He murmured, before murmured under his breath. His hand began to glow with magic as it seeped into Silus' skin. After a few moments of this, Tannyll stopped, sighing softly. "That should do..." He murmured.

Silus stirred slightly but remained asleep, however he looked a lot more peaceful and less in pain than he did before. Cobak seemed to relax as well and purred at Tannyll, rubbing his head against Tannyll's stomach and wagging his tail a little.

Tannyll smiled softly, before he gently stroked the hatchlings head. He then leant back and closed his eyes, intending to get some sleep whilst they travelled.

Silus woke a few hours later with a very horrid headache, wincing and rubbing his temples. He tiredly forced his eyes open and blearily looked around, wincing as Cobak threw himself into his arms and nuzzled him lovingly under the chin. 'Easy, Cobak. I'm ok.' He croaked, wondering how he'd gotten onto Fyacin's back.

Tannyll sat in front of him, sitting up straight as Fyacin walked. He turned to look at Silus, then smiled. "How do you feel?" He asked, turning to face the front again.

'Numb and weak.' He flexed his fingers, which seemed to react slowly to what he wanted them to do. 'What happened...?'

"You used magic to conceal yourself. But your spell used to much of your magic. I had to transfer some of my own strength to you to keep you alive." He glanced back at him again. "You need to be trained."

'What happened to the rider? Did you win?'

He nervously asked, suddenly not feeling as safe as he had been with the elder elf and his dragon. Did this mean he wouldn't be able to rely on Tannyll for further protection from her?

Not to mention her dragon had been smaller than Fyacin- he'd managed to notice this as he'd been running away. And he already knew the elf in front of him was of a decently mature age.

(Nice. I'm trying to decide if I should just make a new thread or just continue here. what do you think? making a new thread will attract others who are intimidated by larger Roleplays.)
