'Are we going....?' Silus asked, no longer looking at the male elf, looking uncomfortable as he fidgeted with a necklace that he wore around his neck, and his gaze wandered. "When I have finished." He said, turning away again. "This exercise takes time and patience to do. And I intend to do it."

Silus complained, looking at the elder elf with an agitated expression.

'Why are you on the dragon?' He asked. 'That is extremely lazy.' He huffily folded his arms across his chest and fell far, far behind Fyacin, walking out of her tails reach, not particularly wanting to speak anymore to Tannyll, and now wanting to be at either end of the she-dragon in case she decided she wanted to eat him after all.

"It helps us to bond." He said, looking down at him as she began to walk. He ran his hands over the scales of her neck, smiling softly. He then looked back at Silus. "Why are you all the way back there?" He asked.

'Because I don't want to talk to you or get eaten by the dragon.' Silus responded, narrowing his eyes suspiciously at the she-dragon, Cobak cheerfully hopping around the younger elf's feet and successfully ruining his serious form.

Tannyll glanced at Fyacin, who looked at Silus. "...she says she will only eat you if you keep calling her 'dragon'." He relayed, as Fyacin turned and continued to walk.

Tannyll glanced at Fyacin, who looked at Silus. "...she says she will only eat you if you keep calling her 'dragon'." He relayed, as Fyacin turned and continued to walk. 'She is a dragon.' Silus retorted, folding his arms sulkily and glancing around the field, feeling very, very open. His heart suddenly began to race, and he instinctively knew something was wrong. He felt a twinge in his wounds and pressure in his head. Familiar pressure. His eyes widened and he scooped Cobak into his arms, before suddenly sprinting ahead of Fyacin and Tannyll. Seconds after he'd passed them, a massive explosion of white flames blasted at his feet and he dived to the side, barely avoiding them, and then rolling quickly as a white blur snapped shut gleaming teeth where he had been. The shimmering white-dragon's scales shone multi-coloured in the harsh sunlight, and the dragon released an aggressive roar as he soared back into the skies. Silus shot a desperate, terrified look towards Tannyll, chest heaving and tears in his eyes- this enough in itself to reveal that the rider attacking him was his previous attacker.

Tannyll looked at him, then flung his arm out towards him. "RUN!!" He yelled, as Fyacin spread her wings in preparation to take off and fight the dragon. She roared a challenge to the dragon, before lifting off into the air.

Silus didn't hesitate this time to follow this order. If there was one thing he was good at- it was running away from trouble. He leapt gracefully back to his feet and began to sprint forwards, trying to level his breathing to utilise he most of his strength and stamina. Cobak cried in his arms, the little thing terrified for the second day in a row.
The white dragon roared back at Fyacin, and tipped slightly as he turned mid-air, revealing his rider- elf-like in figure and form, they wore black leather armour rimmed with fur, along with a helmet and hood to hide their face and ears. They pointed at Fyacin and a large blue fireball shot towards the two, erupting from the elf's fingertips.

She hissed with discomfort, since her scales only offered a form of protection from fire, but it wasn't perfect. She swooped around in the air, before closing the gap between the two dragons, and allowing for Tannyll to use his own magic. "Brisingr!" He yelled, his own purple flames shooting towards the opposing rider.

Fyacin screeched and fell away, shaking her head as she fell. Tannyll had managed to cover his eyes, but was still plagued with flashing images before his eyes. He forced himself to open them, then took hold of Fyacin's nearest spine, and trying to pull her up. The she-dragon relinquished control to him, letting him guide her away from dangers. He turned her around, and it became obvious that she was flying with her eyes closed now, and was relying completely on Tannyll.

The male dragon was already propelling himself after the retreating figure of Silus, who was sprinting as hard and fast as he could away, trying to reach the trees in the near distance for cover.

Tannyll tapped Fyacin's side, urging her to fly quickly after the male. As soon as her eyesight recovered enough to be able to fly, she picked up in speed, now able to rely on her own flying skills. She collided with the male again, snapping her jaws close to the opposing rider to try and put her off. Tannyll drew his sword, the purple blade glittering, and he swung for her when she was in reach, ensuring he made himself as big a target as he could so that Silus could hide.

Fyacin caught his wing in her mouth, shaking her head violently to try and break the limb. Even if she didn't, she hoped the action might force the male away, taking his rider with him. Tannyll took this chance to stab at the riders mind, sending a spike deep into her head, trying to cripple her by forcing her to defend.

The dragon roared and lunged forwards suddenly, clamping his teeth shut around Fyacin's throat and slowly tightening his jaw.
Tannyll was met by an extremely sturdy barrier the second he got in, and then a swift stab shot down his connection and into his own head; she'd used his attack against him and successfully- and painfully- countered.
Silus leapt to the safety of the trees and dived to the nearest cover, breathing heavily. He watched them brawl, then glanced at Cobak and knew he couldn't stop now. He continued to run, not looking back. If Tannyll survived and found him he'd go with him again- if not, Silus would have to reside in /these/ woods now, as the thickets were tighter.

To rob a dragon of its flight is one of the worst things that could happen. She looked down at him, then tightened her jaw, feeling the bones beginning to strain under the pressure. She then froze when she felt Tannyll stiffen in the saddle, before releasing the males wing and writhing in his grip, slamming her body against his and raking her claws down his body. She was doing what she could, since she had no proficiency in mental battles or magic. She only hoped it would be enough. Tannyll retreated into his mind rapidly, throwing up his own barriers; using his century of knowledge to build his defenses and shut her out. Even then it was only enough to defend. He couldn't retaliate in any way.

'/release him. The boy is gone. We've failed again. Pull back, Shard./' if you think it is right to do so.The male released Fyacin and pushed himself away from her, spinning in the air and swiftly flying towards the direction of Gil'ead.

Even with the rider gone, tannyll did not emerge from the barriers he had put up, even going as far as blocking Fyacin. The she dragon snorted with disdain, before heading down to find the hatchlings.

Even with the rider gone, tannyll did not emerge from the barriers he had put up, even going as far as blocking Fyacin. The she dragon snorted with disdain, before heading down to find the hatchlings. Silus had tucked himself underneath a fallen log and lay in complete silence, even having gone so far as to make the light bend around his form in order to appear invisible, the shadowy place he hid in making it utterly impossible to guess by sight he was there. He quietly held Cobak to his chest, both of them trembling with fear as they awaited the results of the fight.

He glanced out of his hiding hole and recognised them, before he sighed and released the magic surrounding him and his dragon. He weakly crawled out of his hiding place. 'We're here.' He croaked, feeling dizzy; he'd used up a lot more energy than he originally thought. He staggered, black spots before his eyes and leaned against the nearest tree.

Cobak wiggled out of his arms and tried to push him towards Fyacin, but succeeded only in pushing him over- he flinched as he landed on his hands and knees, wondering why on Earth he was feeling like this; surely he hadn't used up that much magic, had he? Had he, in his panic, made a mistake and used too much? He HAD been hiding for a long enough time to be tired; but this weak? Cobak chirped with panic and began to run rather uselessly around him, not knowing what to do to help his rider.

She then went and picked up Cobak, dropping him off with Silus, before she began to walk again, pushing her way through the thick foliage.

Cobak was sitting in front of Tannyll with a curious expression on his face. He chirped at him as Tannyll woke, wagging his tail, now looking concerned. He stared at him intently, a weak probing entering Tannyll's head as the hatchling strained to try and communicate with him for the first time.
