Hey, I'm Issi.
I love historical role-plays. I already have a 1x1 on the go but I really wanted to do more.
I have a plot in mind but if you have any ideas of your own please let me know x

[Well, it was a Ancient Roman plot.
So your charrie is the child of the emperor and my charrie is a gladiator in the Arena. They meet one day before the games and my charrie goes to fight in the arena, but loses their fight. Your charrie votes for them to live.
We go from there. Your character could decide to buy my character, as they are a slave, and they could develop a relationship.
It's a very simple plot, but it could go in many different directions.
So, are you interested?]

[Right, well this will be a lot longer because it is a starter, but I will try to match your length in replies]
Felix knelt on the back of a cart, which was parked in a square outside of the Coliseum in Rome among more than a dozen others.
His real name was Aedan, for he was from Britain, the land of the Celts. His tribe had been the last to fall to Rome, perhaps thanks to his efforts in the final battle. The battle in which he was taken. But he heard, months after he had been taken, simply from gossip on the streets, that his tribe too had fallen. The Romans now wanted to sweep north into Caledonia (Scotland), but he figured it would fall as well.
When he had been taken from battle, he had been renamed, and they now called him Felix. Which the 23-year-old gladiator found ironic, considering it meant 'Luck'. His life, he couldn't help but thinking, was anything but lucky.
His blond head was bent as he knelt, his hands behind his back. His skin was very pale, so pale one could almost miss the silvery scars along his back from years of whipping. His blue eyes were shut, his face hidden behind his pale hair. The only things showing of his face were his ears, one of which wasclipped, marking him out as a slave.
Free Roman citizens circled the carts, examining the gladiators, deciding which ones to place bets on in the upcoming fights. Felix was popular, because he was Celtic, which made him quite exotic to the Romans. He had also been a gladiator for 5 years, long enough to develop the kind of sinewy muscle that drew potential betters' attention.

Mai walked gingerly along the crowded streets as citizens of all sizes crowded around the gladiaters, placing their bets. She never agreed with the idea of men fighting for other's entertainment but there was nothing she could do against it. She kept walking, her dark hair falling loosely out of her bun as she rushed through the street. All over, she could hear exclamations about the 'great fight' and how one would beat their skull in. She sighed, leanin g on the wall nearby one of the carts, where hundreds more people swarmed around.

Aedan opened his eyes behind his blond hair when he heard two voices in front of him. A little girl, one voice, a man - presumably her father - the other.
"Pater," the girl began "Why don't you bet on that one? He looks strong"
"No, dear," the father responded "See the blond hair and the pale skin? He is a Celt - it would be a bad bet to place our money on him"
"Why should we not bet on Celts?"
"Because they are barbarians, and they fight ferociously but they lack tactics" the man responded "And his fight is probably rigged; it would be shameful to let a Celtic gladiator beat a Roman one"
As the two voices retreated, Felix withheld a sigh. It was true - he would probably die in this fight. And he would die a slave, in a place where he was only thought of as a barbarian

Mai glanced at the cart, realising that she had been zoning out while staring at one of the gladiaters by accident. She quickly looked away, feeling stupid. As she stood up she overheard the small boy and his father talking, and quickly realised they were talking about him. Without thinking she spoke up, "Celts aren't barbarians, they are just as normal as anyone else!"

The pair had stopped when they heard the voice, the father glancing up and catching sight of who had said it. When he knew it was the Emperor's daughter, he mumbled a string of apologies and hurried off with his child before they could get into trouble.
Felix looked up for perhaps the first time in hours, his eyes finding the face of Mai, who had defended him so kindly. He dipped his head in silent thanks, knowing full well that slaves were not to speak unless spoken to, especially not to people as high on the social ladder as Mai.

Mai was silent for a second, realising what she had done, then looked up at the gladiater. She gulped, unsure if she regretted what she had done, or was proud. She smiled, trying to make it less awkward. It would be dark soon and she needed to get home. "Bye," she murmured to the gladiater, before making her way back home.

Felix watched as she left, blue eyes following her as she disappeared into the crowd. He hadn't been able to bring himself to smile back at her- he supposed he normally would - gladiators had to learn how to play to the crowds, make the people love them. Especially foreigners, like him.
He felt a large arm grab his own- a guard, from the Coliseum. The betting was over - it was time to go in for the night. The fight would be tomorrow
"Get down, slowly."
Felix obeyed, and was led inside of the Coliseum, moments later finding himself in a cage-like cell, where he would spend the night before tomorrow's fights.
_____ THE NEXT DAY ______
It was late morning, and Felix had been training since early that morning, all while trying to avoid the other gladiators. There would be one final hour of betting before the crowds began to enter the Arena for the fights, and just like yesterday, Felix was led outside and to his cart. One more hour and then the fights would begin. One more hour and then it would be life or death.
