Ottermask flicked his ear and glanced toward the nursery. He respected Smogstorm's kind heart in taking care of Hazelkit, but he sure missed having her in the warrior's den. "If she does become a permanent queen, she hasn't told me yet. I suppose I'll ask her about it when she's free later." “Are toms allowed to become permanent Queens, if they’re not Queens?” Mintpaw asked curiously. “Because Sheeppaw does all the nursery chores and I think he wants to be one, but he can’t be a Queen, can he?” She asked. |

I get it!” Mintpaw exclaimed, before she decided. “She-cats are smarter, so we get to be Warriors and Queens too!” She giggled, the intent of her father’s words going right over her head as she found herself distracted by the stream in camp. “This thing’s really moving! I think all the minnows are hiding, it’s too fast for them.” |

Ottermask softly sighed. "Yes. She-cats are smarter." He followed her gaze to the stream and his brow furrowed at its swiftness. "The Clan will need to be careful. If that stream is running fast, then the rest of the rivers around the territory are even faster. Someone could get swept away."

Hazelkit sniffed around the edge of a nursery nest and saw fine, white webbing. A spider! She looked in every crack and crevice of the nest, searching for the spider. After a moment, she saw it resting on a portion of its web. Hazelkit sprang forward and nipped it with her teeth. She bit down on the spider, just enough to kill it. She dropped it on the ground. "Rosekit, I got a spider!"

She looked in every crack and crevice of the nest, searching for the spider. After a moment, she saw it resting on a portion of its web. Hazelkit sprang forward and nipped it with her teeth. She bit down on the spider, just enough to kill it. She dropped it on the ground. "Rosekit, I got a spider!" “Ooh!” Rosekit squeaked with a shudder. “Spiders are scary! Did it bite you?” He asked with worry as he scampered quickly over to Hazelkit’s side. |

”I’m glad,” she replied warmly. After a few happy heartbeats passed, she added, “So, any plans for today? Have you been put on any patrols?” “I was on the dawn patrol, so I’ve mostly been doing camp work. I just now started getting this rain water out of my fur.” Iciclestep explained with a huff at the hassle of the weather. Swimming was fine, it was getting drenched in muddy water and debris that was always a hassle. "It has been particularly rainy lately. I hope the river doesn't flood camp anytime soon." She thought back to the day she'd professed interest in him, when the river had moved too fast even for them to swim in. "That, and I hope no one gets sick from all this cold and damp." |

alright I'll start Littleshadow's kitting and we can snail post! ) Littleshadow awoke in her nest to a sharp pain in her stomach. She groaned trying to get comfortable. She frowned when another sharp pain rolled though her, that's odd. She had been having them here and there for the past couple days but never this close together. She hissed, curling in on herself. She called out to the queens resting around her, "Kits.. I think the kits are coming." 🅃🄴🄼🄿🄾 mintleaf2 ) |

Stormclaw leaped towards the spot they were supposed to train and looked back to see Floodpaw and Sproutpaw catching up. "We're here, Diamondheart. What should we demonstrate today? It'll be good if them both could do some battles together." (Flareclaw are you and Silverpaw still in the hunting training?) “Sounds like a good idea. We can do some sparring.” Diamondheart nodded in agreement with Stormclaw, flicking his tail to the apprentices. “Sproutpaw, Floodpaw, we’ll be working on attacks that require you to get your opponent onto the ground. A cat who is tripped, especially in the water, is as good as defeated. On land, we want to use our weight to our advantage.” He started. Floodpaw looked at the deputy with a blink, before he nodded with understanding. (For you as well, Willow!) |

alright I'll start Littleshadow's kitting and we can snail post! ) Littleshadow awoke in her nest to a sharp pain in her stomach. She groaned trying to get comfortable. She called out to the queens resting around her, "Kits.. I think the kits are coming." 🅃🄴🄼🄿🄾 mintleaf2 ) Orchidnight’s head turned sharply to Littleshadow, eyes wide as she breathed. “Now? Alright, uhm…” She quickly ushered her kits out of the nest, mewing. “We’re going to give Littleshadow some space, okay? Smogstorm, can you get Speckle…” Orchidnight cut off, voice strained and pained before she corrected. “…Quietpaw… Please, fetch Quietpaw.” “I will.” Smogstorm mewed softly to the other she-cat, before she assured Littleshadow. “Keep breathing and get comfortable. I’ll be right back.” She hobbled out of the nursery on her three legs, calling out firmly. “Quietpaw? Uhm, Alder too, anyone! Littleshadow’s starting to kit!” “W-what?” Owlwhisker gasped with both excitement and shock, rushing past his clanmates to get to the nursery. |

This is because it depends fully on the opponent lifting up on their hind legs to bring their weight down. Even the largest Warrior can be knocked over when they are only balancing on two paws.” Diamondheart explained calmly, looking between Sproutpaw and Floodpaw, before looking at Stormclaw. |
