~Whispers in the Night~
~* Forum Rules: Everyone should at least know the basic Forum Rules, which I will most likely be repeating in my own Rules. However, if you wish to know them all, just look at the top of any Forum where the Mods have posted a topic. They're not that hard to find.
~* Updated Forum Rule: With the new rule that was added by the Mods, there is a lot of confusion (To me at least) about what is now allowed and not allowed when depicting characters for role-plays. So, I'm going to put this out there so there is no confusion about who can join this place. ANYONE IS FREE TO RP HERE! Make whatever character you want. Of course, I always comb over the joining forms to make sure nothing seems out of place, but chances are, I won't turn your character away, unless it breaks one of the rules below. Make your characters as you see fit. However, if you are looking for romance in the plot, I'm only experienced with MxF couples. Since I'm straight, I don't feel like I'm the best person to rp a MxM or FxF relationship. However, if your character prefers those kind of relationships, that's fine. Just please don't get mad if I don't want to involve a romance with the same gendered characters. However, there are a lot of other things our characters can do that don't involve dating. Please, please, please do not get mad if I have no idea how to rp with a certain character, though. I'm not the most up to date person about what's been going on in the Forums, so I have no idea what all of these groups are that are having so much trouble. What I can promise is that you will not receive any of that trouble from me. Yet you will not be turned away just because you or your characters are in one of these said groups. Talk with me, and we can create a plot that both of us will be happy to rp.
In every rp, I try my hardest to make it the best rp both participants have ever rped. I know, that's a little impossible, but I always try my best to make the people I rp with as satisfied with the plot as I possibly can. I always ask for their input on anything concerning the plot or any course of action within the rp. With that being said, if you would to rp one of the pre-made plots, but know the character you want to use for it doesn't fit what I have written, then ask me if we can make adjustments to it. I will be more than happy to change some things around to include your character. We might even make the plot better than it originally was!
We are all people here, no matter what are interests are. Everyone has the right to rp, and you can use that right here. I'm an understanding and nonjudgmental person, and all I ask is for you to be the same. We all have our opinions and ways of life. Let's use that to have fun and learn more about each other instead of pushing each other away.
~* Activeness: Please try to be as active as you can. I understand that we all have lives outside the Forums, and I will understand if you can not be on every second of the day. Neither am I. But I will asked you to reply at least once or twice each week, just to let me know that you still wish to rp here when you can. So please DO NOT just claim a spot and then never rp here after that. It bugs me immensely, and you wouldn't want it happening to you. Also, if you have to leave for a long time for whatever reason you need to, please try to let me know. If not, and you see I have deleted you, you may have a chance to reclaim the plot you originally had, even if I have to duplicate it for you.
~* Literacy: This is one that even I'm still working on. I don't expect you to be a grammar freak and have everything written correctly. We all have a few errors in our writing, I being a huge master of mistakes. But I do wish that you will try to be as descriptive as possible. Make your characters come to life. It'll make the rp much more interesting and we will both have something good to work with. I will not tolerate text talk, nor will I put up with someone who does not punctuate like they're suppose to. How hard is it to add a comma or period at the end of a thought? I will try and help you if your replies are too short and lacking descriptions. Everyone has the right to try and improve their skills. However, if there is no improvement and I am constantly asking you to give me more to work with, I have the right to end the plot. You have been warned.
~* God-modding, Power playing, and Spotlighting: No one is invincible, so please do not have your character go through some tragic event and come out unscratched. Don't let them win every fight, don't let them get hurt all the time, and don't have the whole plot revolve around your character. Each character of a plot can have their own story arch as the rp progresses, so there will be places that focuses more on one characters story and how they over come an obstacle or challenge. However, don't make the entire plot your character's story arch and nothing else. That's not how rps are suppose to work.
~* Mary-Sues/Perfect characters: It is okay for your character to be beautiful/handsome. However do not have them, "so hot all of the boys/girls fall for her/him, and are kind to everyone and everything they meet." No one is that perfect, even if some people actually look close to it. Everyone has flaws, whether it be personality wise or appearance wise. So please have at least one or two flaws in your character. If you've read this far, then put 'Midnight' in your joining form.
~* PG RP: We have a lot of little kids running around on the Forums, so please keep that in mind. Do not cuss, even if you star it out. Also, most of these plots have romance in them as well as fighting, so please do not go into great details. Please use "Skip" if you think things are getting a little too much. I will not move romance plot to PMs if things get too intense, so that is out of the options. If you can't use "Skip," then you don't need to rp it.
~* Have fun: Otherwise, why would you be here?
