Darien's cold eyes gained a gleam of approval at her words and pushed at the heavy double doors, their hinges gliding smoothy open. "Welcome, Miss. Daphne, to the BIS. Right now we are in the communication room where I think you would be pleased to work in. As the Secretary of the BIS, I work closely with those in communications and I rely on them to keep me up to date and informed on any happenings that are unusual." He told her, his back to the large screen set up behind him. If he did then he would have seen Connor's latest artwork framing his head perfectly.

Daphne stared and blinked rapidly at Darien's head. "Ummm... Mister. Banes..." She pointed at the billboard that was in full view from the window. Her face twisted in a grimace as she tried to hold back her laughter. "You might want to look behind you..."

Darien gave her a look of puzzled annoyance that she interrupted him before turning to look out the grand bay windows that were looking out at the city. His normally dead blue eyes blazed with a cold fire at what he saw and slowly straightened up to his full height. "Status report on O'Neal and Conway." he called out in a cold tone, not glancing away from the billboard. That blasted rebellion was behind this, that much he knew and he swore to himself that he would end it at whatever cost it would take. "Sir, they're still looking for the billboard. Somehow they read the wrong coordinates." a man called out, making Darien close his eyes briefly. Why were his workers so frustrating at times?

Daphne smiled sheepishly and glanced out the window. "I wonder why anyone would have the motive to do something like that... the city is fine as it is. Why a rebellion?" She wondered out loud.

"Miss. Daphne, what do you know about the time before the change?" Darien asked her, staring at the billboard in front of him. He crossed his hands behind his back and sighed silently, turning to face the woman in front of him.

Daphne frowned as she tried to think deep. There were no memories that came up before the change. She knew something had changed, but in her memory, she wasn't sure what it was. "I don't recall anything..." She should have lived long enough to know, but why was it that she had no memory of such? "Everytime I close my eyes to remember, all I see is darkness."

Darien's eyes gleamed with interest at her words and he masked it with a nod. He saw the benefits that this could bring him and he seized his chance with both hands."I see.. Well before the change, the world was a dark place. It was filled with war and hatred. The colors you see so vividly behind me were used as a calling card so to speak. They used them as banners, as propaganda and as a way to get their word out. There was rhythm and sounds that blended together to create something called music but even that was polluted. They tainted that as well and soon the whole world was on the brink of destruction. War, death and famine was rampant in those times even though technology was so advanced. When the wars ended, the government saw the damage that was done and decided to change things for the better. They destroyed all evidence and banned things that would promote that type of death and destruction. The rebels seek to bring it back. To promote chaos and the deadly movement that caused all those deaths before. That is the Rebels making a move once more."

Daphne tilted her head and listened with interest in her eyes. When he finished his story, she turned to look at the vandalism on the billboard and shuddered. "I guess... it would be safer if thing stayed the same. I think I understand a little better now. We're all equal, therefore there's no competition. Therefore, no one person gets hurt." That logic was sound in her mind.

Darien nodded at her words and turned his back to the vandalism, pleased that she now thought somewhat like him. "I'm glad you understand. The government wishes us to be equal so we all have a chance at life. We do not want that type of death anymore."

Daphne nodded, "I understand." She turned her gaze to the office. "So, what are my main tasks here?" she asked, now in the headspace to start at her new job. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad after all.

"Miss. Daphne. What I would like you to do here is relay any information my way that you deem important to know. The bots on the street and the blue collar workers report directly to you so it would also be your task to compile the day's work so I can review it the next day. The spike in rebel activity will lead to an increased level of information so you would also work with your team mates here to help get those tasks done for the day. How does that sound?" Darien listed off before turning to view the dismantlement of the billboard.

"I think I can do that. Leave it to me, Mister Banes." She saluted. "where would my work area be?" In a way, she was a little bit ecstatic to start something fresh. Turn the page over to a new chapter in her life.

Darien smiled at her enthusiasm before gesturing her to an empty corner dest by the bay windows. With some colors and designs, the area could be cute and cozy but it was instead cold and uninviting. "This would be your station during your time at the BIS. Would that be satisfactory Miss. Daphne?" he asked, placing his hand down on the sturdy oak desk.

Daphne took one look at her work area and something stirred inside of her. Suddenly, a wave of discomfort flooded her body. She shook away the feeling and nodded. "Yes, of course." She brushed herself down and sat in her chair. "I can take this time to familiarize myself with any previous cases to get an idea of what we're dealing with. Especially with the Rebellion case. If you don't mind, Mister Banes." Daphne started up her computer, pulling her hair back in a ponytail.

Darien nodded and removed his hand from the desk, pulling away from the area in general. "Of course Miss. Daphne. I look forward to working with you." He told her with a bow. Straightening up, Darien fixed his tie before giving her a small smile that didn't reach his eyes. "My office would be open to you at any time. Good day." Without another word, Darien turned and left, wanting to get caught up in the most recent development.

Daphne nodded and bid him goodbye before starting up her computer. She let out a small sigh as she clicked on the icon to log in. Once the home screen had finished loading, she clicked on the only file that was on there and started looking through the case files. She saw the pictures and recorded events. Maybe there was some sort of pattern going on. If she found that pattern, she could predict the Rebellion's next move.

Conner had reached the base and immediately went to his computer to check the camera where the billboard would be. He frowned when he saw a couple of the workers take down his handiwork. "Darn it..." he had to think of another plan. He was hoping that it would at least last through the night for the civilians to see it in the morning. He had to be more careful. Especially with the drones. He can do it again early in the morning. He won't let these pigments go to waste.

Darien sat at his desk and took a moment for himself. The rebellion seemed like it came from two maybe three different people and they started to get bold. From the lack of evidence from fingerprints to hair follicles he would have to say that they were skilled at the very least. There wasn't any evidence that their database was hacked either. The entire situation frustrated the man to no end. It was time to review it all over again, despite the late hours.

Alexandrea sat back with a satisfied sigh, having everything prepared for tomorrow night and glanced at the time, confused. Darien was normally home by now and she couldn't help but worry. She didn't worry about Darien, goodness no, she worried about Conner instead. The little wizard hasn't given her an update and her brother was at the office during late hours. Something had to have happened and whatever it was, it wasn't good.

Conner looked over the files in his computer and sighed. He needed to work over the patterns of the drones now too if this was going to work. But first, he needed to make a report. Conner turned his com device on and sighed. "Conner online... I messed up." He reported as he went through the camera footage of the drones and the erased footage that he retrieved from the cameras. Ahhh. There. That's when he got caught. He miscalculated the timing.

Daphne looked through the dates of the files, wondering if she could find some sort of clue. She looked through the reports, trying to keep her eyes open. Despite her efforts, she found herself slowly fall dozing off.

"What do you mean you messed up?" Alexandrea hissed, suddenly wide awake as Conner's voice seemed to echo in her ear. She was just starting on her calculus homework when he tuned in and suddenly it didn't matter anymore. "Conner you were suppose to be careful! What happened?" she asked, moving from her chair to glance over at the clock. It was nine, maybe ten at night and suddenly it made sense to her on why her brother wasn't home yet.

Darien got up from his desk, deciding to call it a night. He had reviewed everything thrice over before deciding that he would have to continue this at home. Walking over the the heavy double doors, he pushed it open, glancing around only to find a sleeping worker. His eyes smoldered with anger and he walked quietly over, clapping the person firmly on their shoulder. "Wake up. "

Conner rubbed his temples and collapsed onto his chair. He rested his head against his desk and sighed. "I almost got caught. I got away, but it was too close a call." He deleted the footage from his personal files and groaned. "If I was paying attention to the sky it would have been successful." He grumbled in frustration. It was the first time that something caught him. The first time he ever messed up on a vandalism. "I'm usually so careful about these things, how could I have missed it?" Conner let out a yell of frustration and kicked his work table, which shifted some of his equipment.

Alexandrea flinched suddenly at the noise over her ear piece and she hissed, glaring off into space. "Watch the sudden noise!" She growled out and sighed, trying to relax. "Did you get the job done at least?"

Conner sighed and buried his head in his hands. "Yeah, I did. Somehow. But they took down my handiwork. I'll go back early in the morning or later in the night to redo that." He'd probably be tired, but it would be worth it to see the whole city's reaction.

Daphne jolted awake, straightening her back up. "I-I'm awake!" She gasped and looked around at the empty office. She slumped and held her head. "I'm sorry..." She shook her head and looked at the screen in front of her. "I swear I was trying to work, but I-I don't really know what happened... I must have spaced out and unknowingly fell asleep." She shook her head and pinched her cheeks.

Alex sighed at his words and rubbed at her face with her hand, feeling just as exhausted Conner was sounding. "I just want you to be careful, alright? Why not do it early in the morning, maybe around two or three. It'll give you time and the government couldn't possibly get to it before the blue collars wake up to do their jobs." she suggested, leaning back into her chair as she talked.

Darien felt a headache fast approaching and removed his hand from her shoulder. "It is late. Let me walk you home." he told her, checking his watch with a small flourish. It was late and he didn't let his little sister know. He home surveillance was reading that she was home but he didn't want to take the chance that she needed him. "I don't want you sleeping on the job again Miss. Daphne. I'll let it slide this time due to it being late and your first day but please, do not do this again."

(Lol both Alexandrea and Darien are mildly, and Conner and Daphne are exasperated)
Conner nodded hummed softly in reply. He gently hit his head against the desk. "I can't believe I messed up." Even if it was just one small screw up, Conner couldn't help but beat himself over it. "I think I'll turn in for the night. Give me some updates from Jericho tomorrow," he said. "Conner out."
