Kristebel poked and prodded at Daphne for nearly five minutes, recording her findings on a clipboard as she went. Once she was done she shooed Daphne off of the examiner's table and sat at the edge, sinking into the softness with a slight sigh. That hooligan Darien didn't like her enough to provide her with a padded chair and her bones tended to ache! She scowled as she flipped through her notes, drawing an unlikely conclusion. The girl was wiped and showed signs of faded torture. The signs may have not been obvious to an untrained eye but she was no youth that still had water behind her ear! "I see nothing physically wrong with you, girl. If this happens again, come back. Doctor's orders! I don't care what that upstart hooligan has to say about it upstairs either! You hear me?" she demanded, pointing a gnarled finger at Daphne's face. She needed to do more tests to be sure but she had a sneaking suspicion that Darien wouldn't tell her either. There was too much work to be done at the moment anyways. She'll wait till the next time.

Daphne gave the old woman a gentle smile. "Yes, miss. I'll come back if it starts up again." She repeated the orders and turned around to leave. If there was nothing wrong with her, then she should trust the doctor's judgment. Daphne exited the office and walked herself down with her head held high now. She was better. She was okay.

Kristebel watched Daphne go with a shake of her head, turning back to her notes. The girl was blind, more so than she thought. How she could not see that the government was a bad place for her to work? If she had to peg Daphne in the old world she would have to say the girl was an artist or a dancer. She was certainly not fit for this type of lifestyle.

Daphne got bacj to her desk and stretched her limbs out before opening a word document and typing in her observations. Her notes were short. A little on the vague side, bit to her they sufficed.

When Jericho reached his home, he greeted his mother and went upstairs into his room. He remembered a while ago before the Takeover, there was something that he absolutely couldn't live without. That was maybe a couple of years ago. There was something about the colours on the wall that might have triggered a memory. How long has it been? Four years...? Even weeks have begun to feel like years. He just gave into the routine as time passed and now it was like as if he had been awakened from a dream (does that even make grammatical sense? XD). Jericho frowned and stared at the grey walls in his room. It's empty. For the first time in years, his walls felt empty. And he couldn't figure out why.

Alexandrea sang softly, dancing around her room as she got ready for the day. She knew that it was risky to do so but she didn't care. Darien was out at the office today and she was in a good mood. Darien gave them valuable information with the paperwork that he brought last night and she couldn't wait to share the information that she gathered. "One, two Captain~!" she called out, slipping in her earpiece as she slipped on her shoes.

Darien held back a sigh as he stared at the information compiled by Daphne yesterday and sighed. "This.. Is going to be a long day." he muttered to himself, flipping through the papers once more. "O'Neal. I know it's a Saturday but can you get me a list of all the places where these plants are grown. Miss. Daphne helped figure out what plants were used so continue her good work." he spoke quietly in his phone, tucking it back in his pocket as he glanced at the time. It was already 14:30 and he glanced around to see who else was in the office.

Connor jolted awake at the sound of his comm device beeping from his desk. He cursed under his breath and got up lazily. He put the comm device into his ear and yawned. "What is it, Alex?" He said sleepily as he spun around in his chair. It was way too early for this. Despite it already being the afternoon. Who could blame him? Connor was a night owl at heart and nothing was going to change that.

Daphne was at her desk, supposedly doing her work. At least that's what she was doing a minute ago before her attention slowly shifted to the paper on her desk. She took one of her pencils and began to draw.

Alexandrea faltered at his voice and she scowled, shaking her head. "Conner! What are you doing? Our date is in half an hour!" She hissed, locking the door behind her. She stuck her hands in her coat pocket and glanced around, noting the people on the streets.

Darien rose from his desk and gathered a few papers that Daphne needed to fill out as a new worker. Making his way towards her desk he noted with pride that she seemed to be diligently working. "Miss. Daphne. It brings me great pleasure to see you working hard. I need you to fill out some paperwork though." He called out, not yet noticing her drawings.

Conner opened his eyes again and stared at the clock. He frowned as he looked at the date. It was Saturday. "Oh sh-" he cut himself off and ran to his bedroom to get himself changed real quick. "What time are we meeting??" he hissed as he tossed on his hoodie and looked towards the supply of supplements. He dry-swallowed one of them and his face contorted to one of discomfort.

Looking up from her "work," Daphne stared blankly at Dairen before snapping out of her daydream. "Oh," she said and looked at the paperwork in Darien's hands. A scream echoed in her ears. Hide! She slid a piece of paper over her drawing and nodded solemnly. "Sure."

Alexandrea sighed at the panicked sounds coming from the device and continued down the street. "We're suppose to meet at three you nightowl! Couldn't you know, set an alarm?" She chided, annoyance and amusement coloring her tone. No matter how many times she chides him she knows he wouldn't change.

Darien gave her a small, barely there smile before handing over the papers. "If you could be so kind to fill out the information that is marked with sticky notes, it would finish up your application. I gave you temporary access to the building but that access is going to expire soon." He explained, pointing out the areas she needed to fill out.

Connor shook his head and pulled up his black jeans. "Yeah, okay I'll be there in like fifteen minutes okay?" He huffed as he grabbed his backpack and hoverboard. He glanced at his computer and his desk, making sure everything was shut down and in order before running out the door and locking it. "I'm on the way!" Connor hopped onto the board and sped his way through the forest, the leaves and branches that were wet with morning dew whipped his face and shoulders, making his hoodie a little damp.

Jericho shook himself and got up. It was about time that he got ready to head out. He quickly changed into his jeans and a clean, button down woven shirt before taking his backpack and heading out the door.
"Jericho! Where are you off to?" His mother called from the kitchen.
"Stuying! I'll be home for dinner!" He said back before closing the door. He looked up at the sky and sighed. Even the sky didn't have any hint of colour. Everything about this city was desaturated and dull. Everything except for that piece on the side of the building. It was eye-catching, to say the least. His heart suddenly thumped. He was going to meet up with one of them today. In a matter of minutes, he was going to face the person who created that.

Like the obedient worker she was, Daphne signed the designated areas on the papers and handed them back to him. "All done," she said and went right back to work. She stared at the screen but wasn't actually reading any of the information. Only scrolling past the letters and numbers that stared right at her in black and white. She waited for Dairen to leave.

Alexandrea resisted the urge to roll her eyes at Conner's hasty goodbye before sighing quietly, a small smile gracing her face before it faded from view. Her eyes couldn't help but trail towards the artwork during her walk, making her feel a bit giddy. That was their doing and it was one of the major blows against her prick of a brother. Arriving at the park, the brunette glanced around as she walked towards the fountain. Was she too early?

Darien studied Daphne for a moment as she handed back the papers and dipped his head slightly in thanks. "Thank you for the paperwork signed Miss. Daphne. I do have to ask though, are you okay?" he asked her, tucking the paperwork under his arm. He hated the small pleasantries that he's forced to use but he had to admit, it was useful when someone thinks that he cares for them. They tend to offer a bit more information when they're under that impression.

Jericho reached the park and looked around before he spotted Alexandrea in the distance. He waved her down, walking towards her. "Hey, I'm here." Jericho sat down on the edge of the fountain, frowning just slightly when he didn't see any unfamiliar face around. Maybe they're just late? Or, what if this was a scam?

Her head turned to face Darien. She shook her head. "I'm not sure if I'm okay, Dairen." She said flatly and returned to her scrolling. And she really didn't. Ever since the incident at the lab, she's been feeling this push and pull. And last night she had a strange dream. It looked like from another time. She appeared as a small child in her dream with a strange woman and man in her house.

Connor reached the city gates and swore under his breath. He reached up to his ear and narrowed his eyes. "Alexandrea, I have a small. Looks like they tightened up security. I'll need five minutes. Buy me some time. Will be there soon." He looked up at the wall where the bots and blue collars were. He picked up a rock and tossed it in his hand and observed their movements from a bush. Once they got close enough, he tossed the rock over his head, just landing it a few feet away. "Turn around turn around." he hissed and started moving when they had their back to him.

Alexandrea beamed when she saw Jericho and waved back, tucking a lock of hair behind her ear to turn up the volume slightly. "Hey Jericho! I'm glad you can make it! How are you today?" she asked him, sitting herself down on the water fountain near him. She couldn't help but tilt her head slightly to the side when Conner spoke to her and she repressed the urge to sigh. The walls were tightened as she feared.

Darien's jaw twitched slightly as he clenched his teeth, not use to being so bluntly dismissed by her. What was going on with her? Whatever it was, Darien did not like it nor did he care for the way she brushed him off. "I see." he told her in a cold tone, dipping his head slightly towards her. "If you do not feel well once more I would advise you to see Miss. Nicoli again. Maybe this time she could actually be able to help you. Good day Miss. Daphne." Without another word, Darien deftly turned on his heel and left, feeling rather irked that her attitude got to him.

"I'm good. Where's our third party?" He asked with a tilt of his head. It hadn't been long but people here were known to be punctual. On time. He swung his legs back and forth, waiting in silence.
There was panting in the distance, announcing Connor's arrival. The boy stumbled towards them in a flurry of arms and legs. "I'm here!" He gasped, resting his hands on his knees and catching the attention of a few other people. He got up and cleared his throat, pulling his hoodie back. His face was flushed from running. "I got caught up in something. Sorry." He lifted his head and the first face he saw was Jericho's. His cheeks and the tips of his ears turned bright red. "H-hey." He brushed himself down.

Daphne flinched at his tone and gripped the mouse in her hand. She didn't realize that her actions had made him angry. Daphne didn't like that. Turning her head, she watched the man's back as Darien walked away before turning to face her computer. Her hands shook. What was this feeling? Daphne doesn't like it.

Alexandra let out a small giggle at the sudden intrusion and a catty smile crossed her face. "There's our third party now. I do believe that you may recognize him." She explained, amusement clear in her brown eyes. Only Conner would blush like that when faced with a cute boy.

Darien strode stiffly towards his desk, his displeasure palpable to those who studies his stride. He knew that it was highly frowned on to show said emotion but that obvious dismissal irritated him more than he cared to admit.

Jericho blinked and gave Connor a once over. "Hi." He replied back with a short wave of his hand.
Connor scratched the back of his head. His eyes shifted to the side. "We'll talk. Just not here." He eyed Alexandrea and narrowed his eyes. What did she find so funny?? Shaking it off, Connor tightened the straps to his backpack and started walking. "Follow." This was probably going to be the riskiest move he's ever done since leading the rebellion.
There was a funny feeling settling in Jericho's stomach. He couldn't exactly pinpoint it. Everything right now was so strange and new to him in different ways. "You sure this is it?" Connor looked like an ordinary student. There wasn't anything in particular that stood out. Or maybe Connor was just good at hiding.
