"Yeah, he'll provide us with a white little lie if the teachers decide to ask. Don't they'd ever suspect a student who never stood out in the first place to lie to a teacher," Connor explained. He carefully watched Jericho's body language, any sign that he might have second thoughts. It wouldn't surprise him if he did, but so far, there wasn't any indication. Which was good. "You think you can make up something for us while we do our work backstage?"
Jericho bit down on his lip and nodded. It shouldn't be hard to think of a small lie, right? He'd only been here for a couple of minutes and already they had got right down to business. "You guys don't hesitate do you?"

Alexandra shook her head at his words, her mind already racing to think of an acceptable lie for Jericho to tell. "We hesitate, we die. We can't afford to do that with this type of rebellion, let alone this type of government. We were all raised not to hesitate, were we not?" she told him, thinking of how her brother demanded no hesitation of the daily duties. There was no room for slackers in this world.

"That's true." Jericho glanced between the two of them and nodded, "Alright, so how are we executing?"
Connor pulled out the blueprints of the school and spread the map out onto the desk. "So, I'll be attending the assembly that day. Then during his speech, Alexandrea and I will sneak out the back. There are a lot of students here so it'll be easy to sneak out." He pointed towards the back entrance of the stage where the speaker would be. "Here's the platform where Lt. Butthead will be. You'll be in the audience, while I will be setting up the colour bombs right behind the speaker. They won't see us behind the curtains but I'll be making a brief appearance. Covered up of course. I'll push off the tungsten carbide towards the audience and then poof! The bomb will cover everyone with pink powder." He chuckled, just imagining the sight and everyone's faces.

Alexandrea paused for a moment, realizing an error in the plan. "We need more than one carbide to safely pull this off." she stated, glancing up at them from one of Conner's doohickeys that she was messing with in her lap. "Conner if we don't get caught in that pink blast that's a death sentence for us, even if we have Jericho backing us up. They will look for those who aren't pink. They're stupid enough not to look at the blast angles but we have to have pink on us. That means you too Jericho, sorry."

Connor scooted away from the desk and took a pink spray paint can from the table. He shook it and sprayed it in the air were a puff of pink smoke appeared. "I always come prepared, Alex. Why do you think I was made the next leader of the Rebellion?" He tapped his forefinger against his temple. "I've got a bright mind." He set the spray can down. "It's made out of the similar material. We'll be fine." He looked over the blueprints. "So, after Lt. Sabbath is done his speech, we'll time it so the bomb goes off. And while everyone's distracted," he pulled up to his computer, "Alex will be setting up the food colouring explosives into the hallways." He began typing down the IP address to the school and pulled up the video cameras. "Here, outside the gym," click, "the principal's office," another click," and of course, the main concourse." He covered his tracks and closed the window. "You," he nodded towards Jericho. "Will make sure that the loops are set. So right after the pink bomb goes off, just run to the back of the gym while I help Alexandrea set up. Sound good?" Connor smiled in satisfaction when he saw the other nod. He turned to Alexandrea. "Tell me if I'm missing anything."

"You're missing the fact that you were made the Rebellion leader due to you starting this whole shebang, not by the fact that you're the smartest." Alexandrea told him with a deadpan look before shaking her head. "What about the side exits? During the panic, people would undoubtedly go for the closest exits to the gymnasium which would be the left side door. The one that no one goes through." she pointed out, tapping the area on the screen that she was indicating.

Connor shrugged and typed into the computer. "We can always trigger the emergency lockdown that the school has. That would force the students to evacuate through the hallway and main entrance. I can program it into a single button for Jericho." He turned to the other boy and smiled. "You getting all this, newbie?" Despite having a maybe massive and obvious crush on the latter boy, this was the only thing he would take seriously. Operation and execution mattered more than his feelings. The satisfaction he got off of getting the government riled up was almost to an unhealthy degree.

Jericho nodded. All of this was still hitting him like a semi-truck. But something about this was new and definitely exciting. The rush started to get to him. Was this was one would call adrenaline? His heart never pumped this hard since he was younger. Whatever happened when he was younger? Jericho couldn't pinpoint the memories from more than a few years ago. There were still a lot of questions that he wanted to ask, but that could wait until they were done discussing this. "So, all I gotta do is push a couple of buttons after the big pink smoke bomb goes off?" He asked, just for clarification.

Slight amusement shown in Alexandrea's eyes at the way that Jericho's head was obviously spinning and the way Connor was too excited. She shook her head slightly and leaned back on her hands. "We can't do practice drills so we have to get this right on the first run. We all know what happens if we don't." She stated, giving them a small smile.

"Right." Connor typed in a couple of notes in the blueprint and printed them out. He closed the window and took out the copies, handing one each. "Follow the instructions that I gave to each of you here. They're very specific, so it should go smoothly unless you do anything else. Any questions?"

"Just whatever you do with this, don't take it home with you." Alex reminded Jericho with a small sigh, studying her own paper with a slight frown. This plan was detailed and simple enough to follow but she couldn't help but worry. With the addition of Jericho she couldn't be sure how smoothly this would run. Shaking her head to free herself of the thoughts, Alexandrea glanced up and gave the boys a small smile. "We got this. Remember this goes on Monday so wear older uniforms. This powder will not come out easily."

"Yeah... that makes sense..." he murmured and studied the instructions on the paper. "This is... really detailed." He blinked and scanned through the paragraphs and diagrams. Pretty much everything that was on there was discussed, but in much fuller, specific detail. "Dang, you really are made for this, aren't you?" Jericho looked up from his paper to the leader of this whole organization. It was amazing, no lie.

Connor rubbed the back of his neck, his eyes focusing on anything else in the room. "I can't leave anything out. Every specific detail needs to be there in order for an operation to be at least ninety-nine percent sucessful. But that means a lot. Thanks." He cleared his throat and stood up to his feet. "Time to split. You guys don't have much time before curfew." He checked his watched and headed towards the door to unlock it. "Alex, lead our newbie back into the city. There are some things that I need to go over before we execute on Monday."

Alex huffed slightly at the idea of going back to that suffocating place but nodded, placing her copy of the plan down where she sat. She couldn't help but smirk slightly at the way he was acting before following after him. "Come on Jericho. Boy wonder over there needs time to get his wizard powers recharged so that's our que to leave." She told him and shouldered her bag. "Com on as always Conner. I'll still have an update on my ass of a brother but we'll see you Monday. Stay safe." She told her leader seriously before grabbing her board, heading out the door. She didn't bother calling for Jericho just yet but she did expect him to follow her shortly.

Jericho trailed after Alexandrea when the door opened. He turned back around to face Connor, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lip. "I'll do my best and I hope that I'll be of good use to you," he said. Jericho turned around and started walking out of the cave with a new perspective in mind. A door in front of him has opened and whether or not he'd fully immersed himself into this would depend on how Monday will turn out. He stuffed his hands in his pockets and looked around the entrance of the cave. "I have... a lot of questions." He turned to Alexandrea, then down to his feet, shuffling his feet in the dirt.

Connor watched as they both left. He shut and locked the door behind him, and pressed his back against it. He slid down to the floor and buried his face into his arms. That was the most exhausting thing he's ever gone through. Other than the passing of his parents. Not to mention, they were risking getting him exposed and the plan going wrong. Anxiety started to build up. Connor got up to his feet and went back into his office to get the stuff ready throughout the weekend.

Tossing her hoverboard down in front of them, Alexandrea glanced back with a questioning look. "What's the questions Jericho? And hop on. I'll try to answer them all if I can." She called out, the soft hum of the board standing out from the rustlings of the leaves. She felt a trickle of anxiety try to worm itself into her being but she took a steadying breath, blocking those negative thoughts. Surely everything would go well for the Rebellion on Monday.

Jericho hesitantly hopped on and held on tight, trying to avoid the risk of falling off. Or just being startled. "I don't know... It's kind of a lot to take in," he replied. "Sorry if that was also a little much. I'm overwhelmed, is all." His eyes fixed to the sky. Which was shaded by all the trees and it was only now that he realized how thick and dense the forest is.

Alexandrea slowly picked up speed once Jericho was on until they were cruising through the forest, lost in thought. "I know it's a lot to take in, especially when you're new. I was the same way but somehow it made it easier when I actually grew to trust Conner. He approached me a year or two ago with an offer that scared the life out of me." She began with a small laugh, swerving around a tree. "He offered to turn my world upside down, starting with the demise of my brother's workplace. I was sick and tired of faking it all and I guess the little wizard saw through that mask that I put up, one that not even my own brother saw through. I guess that's why in the end I took his offer." Alex explained with a slightly bitter laugh, shaking her head. "It gets easier Jericho and I won't lie to you, it'll get stressful and hard. Your life would be in danger the moment you walk back into the city but you'd have something that you were missing your entire life, the freedom to do anything that you want. You could laugh and cry, sing and dance, paint, the freedom to love whomever you choose to give your heart to without being told who to marry and that's something I would never trade the world for again."

"That sounds so..." he couldn't think of a word, but he knew there was a word for it. He would just have to see as the week went by. "So. This whole operation thing... I would guess this isn't the first time you've done something this big?" he asked. There was a time, he remembered. Traces of the rumored, now confirmed resistence. The government did a very good job as to wipe whatever traces of a riot when it happened. Except not this time.

Flashes of screams and gunfire rang in her ears for a moment and she shook her head free of those thoughts, concentrating on getting back to the city. "No it wasn't our first event. When we first started we started out with a bang. The local market was our target then but that.. The Government was pretty quick to hide things that time. We won't let our cause be hidden this time." She told him in a quiet tone, her brown eyes flashing with resolve as they came up to the wall. Listening carefully for any traces of life, Alexandrea motioned for him to jump off and she quickly stuffed the board into her bag before taking out a grappling hook. "You ready?" She asked him quietly, motioning him closer to the wall.

Jericho jumped off at her signal and walked closer to the wall. He swallowed and nodded. "Yeah... ready." After this, after they cross over the wall again, Jericho's life will change completely. With his eyes now wide opened and the blindfold that covered the truth from him now removed, there was no turning back. And no way he could ever live the same life. In a way, it was better than living monotonously. "Let's go."

Alexandrea gave him a grim smile at his look of determination and shot upward, listening to the soft clank as the metal hit rock. Testing the rope to see if it was sturdy, Alex quickly climbed up the wall. Her shoulders burned at the action but adrenaline fueled her movements. She could hear the faint voices of chattering men down the line and her movements hastened, gesturing for Jericho to follow in her path.

Jericho followed suit, his heart started racing when he looked over at one of the cameras on the wall. He moved as fast as he could before the cameras could catch him and took a deep, gasping breath when he reached the top of the wall. "Holy..." He shook his wrists and wiped them against his jeans. From the top of the wall, Jericho could see the whole city. Highrises and billboards plastered with propaganda. 'We are all equal!' 'One in the same!' 'You can do Anything!' He remembered the first execution. A whole group of people that were beheaded or hung. For having pieces of drawings in their closet. Or for playing music through their headphones. "I can see why now..." Jericho sat down with his legs cross as he looked over the grey city. The bots were starting to patrol around the city.

Alexandrea stared out into the cold jungle of concrete in front of them and nodded grimly, her normally warm brown eyes dead. She had hidden her emotions once again behind a carefully crafted mask, one that only a few can see through. "The city isn't what it should be and that's what we're trying to change now. Come on Jericho, the drones would be sweeping past here in a few minutes." She told him quietly, her heart twisting now that she was back under constant threat. The ache would soon go away, she learned, but it was best to keep moving, to constantly shift to something else. She knew that if she stopped to think about what she was doing she would be sick.

Jericho nodded and followed after Alexandrea. He held his breath the entire way down until his feet landed on the ground. "I guess it's a little past curfew." He mumbled under his breath, "I think I can make it home from here." He turned to Alexandrea and the corner of his lips turned up in a shaky sort of smile. Except it looked more like a grimace than. Worth a shot. "I'll see you tomorrow as well before Monday?"

The shaky smile that came from Jericho surprised Alexandrea and that surprise soon turned into a soft warmth. It seems like Connor chose right, Jericho would make a fine ally to them in the end. With a small nod, Alex reached a hand out and clasped it gently on his shoulder, giving it a soft squeeze. "It'll pass. I'll see you tomorrow then." She told him quietly before dropping her hand. Her mask now firmly in place, the teen turned and walked away, quickly blending into the shadows that surrounded the high walls. Jericho was right though, it was after curfew and her brother would be home soon. She had to beat him to it.

Jericho nodded and watched until she disappeared from view. He rubbed his hands against his now dusty dress pants and quickly beat them down before making his way home. Somehow, he had to make it back without the bots noticing him. Jericho shuddered at the thought of what could possibly happen if he got caught after curfew. He didn't know, but he wasn't about to find out anytime soon.

Connor landed on his feet on the other side of the wall and retracted the grappling hook. He stuffed it in his back and looked around for any bots that might be lingering around. It's around three in the morning. The half moon hanging overhead and washing the sparse trees with white. Connor slipped between what he could, avoiding the government eye like he always has. Reaching up with his left hand he pressed the back of his ear, turning on his communication device. "Wizard to Lady Liberty how do you read?" He chuckled at the nickname. It fit her quite well.

Daphne was already sitting at her desk. More like dosing off if anything. Her head nodded, eyes slowly closing. She had dark circles forming under her eyes from the previous days work piling up. She jerked her head up and looked around, hoping that no one noticed. Daphne cleared her throat and started looking into the documents on her computer. She read through the information on the article when her eye caught sight of the picture of the painting. She stared at it, fixated. How did they come up with such colours?
