Kingston Connelly Arendelle-Bjorgman Son of Kristoff and Anna
As Hecate began to describe what had hurt him a look of understanding fell upon Kingston’s face. A wasp, Hecate was talking about a wasp. There was a possibility it might’ve been a bee too, or something like that but a wasp was the most likely option. Kingston opened his mouth to tell Hecate about wasps, but something stopped him. Maybe it was because Hecate just looked so confident and proud of fighting off the “dangerous” hummingbird and Kingston didn’t want to ruin it for him, or maybe it was because he was still worried that he might mess this all up somehow and cause a century long war between Auradon and Mewni, or most likely, maybe a bit of both, but Kingston couldn’t bring himself to correct Hecate on this.
So instead he closed his mouth and offered the transfer from Mewni a smile. ”Well, it must’ve been a really unique hummingbird, I’m sorry it stung you,” Kingston told him, amusement sparkling in his eyes. He was sure whatever had stung Hecate had not been a hummingbird, but how could he bring himself to tell Hecate that when he seemed so sure of himself? Kingston couldn’t do that to him. So from now long, as far as Kingston was concerned, bees and wasps were just very unique looking hummingbirds.
However Kingston froze once Hecate mentioned the butt-dagger and how he had been beat up by a butt. Despite trying his best to remain polite, Kingston couldn’t help but chuckle at the way he phrased it. He tried his best to control his laughter, though the longer he thought about it, the funnier it became and soon enough Kingston was laughing instead of just quietly chuckling. ”Sorry, sorry, I know I shouldn’t laugh, I’m trying not to,” he apologized to Hecate, calming down enough by now to put an end to his laughter. ”It’s just that I’ve never heard of stingers referred to as butt-daggers before, and now all I can think of is this b-hummingbird-“ at least he caught himself there. ”With a sword coming out of it, and it’s just so funny,” Kingston explained with a few more chuckles escaping him.
Finally after that, he seemed to sober up and the laughing came to a stop. Oh no. What if he wasn’t supposed to laugh? What if Hecate was angry at him for laughing? What if this was what caused the entire downfall of Auradon? All because Kingston foolishly laughed when he should have taken the butt-dagger very seriously. ”I’m sorry, I really shouldn’t have laughed, I hope I didn’t offend you...”

Merlion Hugo Sumnar Son of Merlin & Witch Hazel
Merlion frowned, rolling his eyes. Of course she wouldn’t get it, what else would he have expected from some sort of privileged princess? They would never understand the deep root to magic and the responsibility and honor teaching magic to others was to a wizard of his talent. His father had always believed that magic was a gift upon the world and it not only deserved to be shared, but taught to those who could use it so they could not only use it responsibly, but know the great value behind it as well. When the King Beast had put a ban on the use of magic, Merlin had been nothing short of outraged, and really, Merlion couldn’t blame him.
Magic was a gift. Some people were born with it, some could learn how to harness the powers of magic and use it the same way those that were born with it could. However no magic, no matter how naturally gifted you were, would be able to work properly unless you were taught how to use it. Putting a ban on magic didn’t stop it from existing, all it did was prevent magic users from knowing how to properly use the magic inside of them. What good did that do? Absolutely none. All it did was cause confusion, chaos, and having to hide a part of you that made you who you are. Merlion despised the ban on magic with a passion.
That was why he had created this place, so that he would have a place he could teach others how to use their magic and embrace it, and also shove a big middle finger right in the king and his magic ban’s face too, while he was at it. That was just something he doubted a princess like Ana could ever understand.
The son of Merlin and Hazel turned away from Ana, shoving his hands into his pockets. ”Yeah, I didn’t think you’d get it,” he stated, huffing slightly as he moved towards one of the bookshelves, looking over all the old books he had stored up, placing the one he had snagged from the library on the shelves alongside the others. He didn’t have a ton of books, which was sad, because if given the chance, Merlion would have a whole library full of books on magic. However, for now, the very few shelves that he had would have to do.
”I found this place specifically with the intent of sharing it with others,” Merlion began to explain as he cast a glance back to Ana. ”I wanted to teach people how to use magic properly, somewhere we wouldn’t get caught, and somewhere with no rules against it. This is that place,” he explained as he turned back to face the daughter of Aurora and Phillip, gesturing around behind him to the cavern. ”This is the one place where people with magic can come and learn how to control it, and not be ashamed of it just because our king got cursed once and believes magic to be terrible. It’s not, it’s a gift, and if we don’t appreciate it, we don’t deserve it,” the young wizard explained, wearing a hardened and determined glare by now as he looked at Ana.
Merlion waited for a few moments, as if waiting for her to respond or for something to happen, then he just turned away, huffing slightly as he rolled his eyes once again. ”Whatever, I wouldn’t expect a princess like you to understand,” he grumbled.

Blaise Bastian Antoine Augustin Bête Son of Beast & Belle
Well, Blaise certainly had not expected Matthias to just start rambling, if anything it was a little hard to keep up with at times, though Blaise liked to think he did a fairly good job of keeping up with the merman boy, enough so that he could understand the gist of what he was saying. Matthias liked the color blue, though it fluctuated between what kind of shade of blue. It was actually kind of cute to hear him talk so passionately about the different colors of blue and then to go off and talk about the sky as a whole.
Blaise looked up at the sky for a second, as if trying to find the same sort of sense of emotion that Matthias had for it, however to Blaise, it was just simply the sky. There were a few fluffy clouds in the distance, rolling and clumping together as they moved across the big blue sky. A bird flew past in the distance, and from the looks of it, it seemed like someone was attempting to fly a kite not too far off. It was pretty and peaceful, and it did bring a sense of serenity to the prince of Auradon, however that was it.
There was no passion, no excitement, no yearning. It was just the sky, and though it was pretty and nice, Blaise still couldn’t quite find the same sort of enjoyment in it that Matthias seemed to have for it. Still though, Blaise couldn’t stop himself from chuckling lightly as Matthias’s rambling. ”You’re very passionate about this,” he remarked, looking the merman over for a few more moments as if trying to decide something. Then, he opened his mouth again, pausing for a moment or two before he quietly continued, voice soft and a little unsure, as if he wasn’t supposed to ask this question. ”C...can you tell me more about the sky?” In truth, Blaise didn’t really want to hear more about the sky. However he had enjoyed hearing Matthias open up and talk so freely about his interests, and Blaise could listen to him ramble all day long.

Carmelo Dorian Rivera Son of Dante & Collette
Now, one thing Carmelo would probably never admit to out loud, despite how true it was, was that he had a tendency to forget to enjoy himself when filming anything came into the picture. More often than not, the dog boy wouldn’t be one to join in on any sort of fun games or activities, not because he didn’t want to, but because he got so wrapped up in filming it as it was happening that he often forgot to enjoy himself as well. So it was very likely that if Berlin not reminded him to come join her at some point, Carmelo would have never stepped foot - or wheels - inside the drained pool, too busy doing nothing but filming Berlin instead.
So, at the mention of joining her, Carmelo looked up from his phone, blinking as he stared blankly at Berlin for a moment or so before it clicked and his eyes widened. ”Oh, right! Yeah, I think I got enough,” he agreed and ended the video there. Then, once he had safely placed his phone off to the side so it couldn’t fall out of his pocket or something and break - now that would be a true travesty - Carmelo grabbed his skateboard and rushed over to the edge of the pool.
He smirked as he stared down at the empty pool and then without a second thought, he tipped his skateboard over and rushed down the sides of the makeshift skating ring, letting out a cheer as he did so. He also may have stuck his tongue out while the wind passed his face. He couldn’t help it, this was just so freeing and fun and sticking his tongue out felt right, even if it looked just a little bit weird. He was a dog, he could get away with it.

Aubriana Dammerüng daughter of aurora and phillip
Oh.
She had messed up. Again.
"That’s the only thing you're good at, isn't it?" Snarled the shadow in her mind. "You really need to learn to keep your mouth shut, would save people a lot of trouble." The voice was right, and Ana knew it. She knew it was right, totally valid. Maybe it was time for her to leave. Maybe it was time for her to let Merlion and Cleo be on their way. They would be better off without her anyway.
"That’s right, good girl. Why not take it a bit further, hmmm?" Not only would Merlion and Cleo be better off without her, but everybody would be better off without her. She was a burden on everybody regardless of who they were. Hadn't that been what Bella said to her months before? A burden. A pathetic excuse for a princess. A freak.
Ana took a step back. ”I’m...I'm sorry…” Her voice was barely above a whisper, a mere ghost of a voice. It would be surprising if the warlock heard the apology at all. What did it matter, though? An apology wouldn't help with anything. It would probably only make things worse which was something she was insanely good at doing - making things worse. Though, Merlion already seemed to hate her so how much more damage could she do?
Her eyes landed on Cleo.
Almost instantly her hands started shaking. She could somewhat handle Merlion hating her. That was one thing. But the lioness? There was no way she could handle the feline hating her. Some part deep down inside her had wanted to befriend the familiar, wanted to somehow get Cleo to see her as a friend maybe, but now all of that was ruined. There was no way the big cat was going to want to be around her anymore.
All of a sudden it felt like hands gripped around her neck to choke the air out of her.
Before she could do anything about it she was suddenly feeling like she was plunging into water. Panic began to set in.
"Pathetic. Pathetic. Pathetic."
She couldn't breathe. Her hands were shaking to the point that she was sure her entire body was shaking. Panic washed over her again, dragging her deeper and deeper into the dark water. The light was growing dimmer as she went deeper, deeper, deeper…
The sound of her own gasp - choked as it was - snapped her out of it for a minute. Ana found herself back inside the cave for just long enough for another wave of panic, newer this time, to roll over her. She was trapped. She needed to get away. The cave walls felt like they were closing in on her, like they were going to creep closer until she was crushed.
"Let them."
But instinct was telling her to run.
Finding just enough energy to take off Ana bounded down the cave. She was shaking and, by now, sobbing, hot tears streaming down her face at a steady pace. Breathing was still difficult, but if she could just hold out for a moment longer then she could make it out of the cave. Then she would no longer be a problem for Cleo and Merlion. They would be free from her and could do as they pleased with the rest of their day. They could find some other student that was actually worth their time and worth the magic. But of course luck wasn't on Ana’s side. When was it ever?
Either she tripped on her own foot or a rock, but whatever it was had the young princess tumbling forward. In the otherwise silent cavern came a yelp of surprise and panic as Ana fell to the ground, skidding across the cavern floor. Despite the panic she felt pain flare up against her arm as it sharply landed on the ground, skin opening to create a cut. It wasn't the worst, but it was going to bleed no matter what.
"Idiot! ...Well, at least you dealt some damage in that fall. Good enough, I suppose."
Now on the ground Ana could no longer hold herself together. As the walls felt like they were moving in closer she curled herself up in a ball, shut her eyes tightly, and gripped her head with her hands. She was shaking violently as she tried so hard to breathe, sobs racking her body. She was so pathetic. Pathetic, pathetic, pathetic.

Hecate Lucitor son of tom and hekapoo
Hecate had learned a lot since coming to Earth from Mewni. He learned that corn was not the main staple of food here, had learned that his overall appearance was weird, and now he was learning that apparently hummingbirds were dangerous, deadly creatures. For a good moment there he had been worried that somehow he had gotten the animal wrong, but luckily it had just been Kingston that had been confused about it for a moment. Perhaps that was Hecate’s fault - he hadn’t been that descriptive with the creature. The prince was still trying to get used to everything about the earth itself and Auradon, he was bound to be vague in describing particular things.
Even after the realization that he had been beat up by some weird butt-dagger, Hecate found himself amused just over the fact that Kingston was. The three-eyed boy was pretty calm when it came to things like that, and besides, he enjoyed making people laugh. If he had a temper even remotely close to his father’s then perhaps he would have gotten angered by this, but he was actually extremely chill about it, was enjoying it really.
Kingston falling into a fit of laughter simply made Hecate laugh as well. If he had to be honest the son of Anna and Kristoff - which he still really didn’t know who those people were, had only heard about them in passing - was actually pretty cute when he laughed. Yeah, he was cute no matter what, but him laughing? Adorable. Him laughing was as cute as those laser-eye puppies that Marco had running around all over the Butterfly palace. Except Kingston seemed a lot less destructive...and destruction was cool. There was some odd fascination with watching things get destroyed that always hooked Hecate in. Maybe that fascination was all part of being the Mewni prince of Hell, who knew? Maybe he’d have to ask his dad about that, or his grandma. His grandma was really chill.
A toothy grin spread across the demon boy’s face. His own laughter was still there, making his words a little hard to understand at times. ”Really? You’ve never heard of a butt-dagger? I mean, I guess I did just make it up, but…a stinger? Is that what they’re called?” To be honest, “stinger” just sounded weird. It sounded like some kind of sour candy or some derogatory term to call somebody was a heart breaker, like, “Hey, watch out, Daphne’s a real stinger, always breaking hearts” or something like that. Yeah, a stinger. For the way being heartbroken felt. Not like Hecate had ever had his heartbroken before, no way. He was a tough boy - no, a man. He was a tough man. His heart had never been broken before, not even when he had been five and his mother told him he couldn’t marry his favorite character because he was a cartoon and thus not real. If he had been heartbroken over it he would have cried for exactly two weeks, not the one week, six days, seven hours, two minutes, and thirty-three seconds that he had cried. That didn’t make him experienced with heart break.
”What are you sorry for? Laughter is always a good thing,” Hecate piped up, stepping a bit closer to the other guy to playfully nudge him against the shoulder. ”I don’t think anything can offend me.” And then, with a blank expression, added, ”Unless you diss K-pop, then I’m offended.” As soon as the words were out his expression returned to the cheerful one, that toothy grin slipping right back over his face as he looked over Kingston.

Cleopatra Sumnar Familiar of Merlion Sumnar
It hadn’t been Cleo’s intention today to stumble across a lonely princess and adopt her, but Merlion had practically set it up. Already from the simple walk over here, Cleo had felt a connection with the daughter of Aurora and Phillip. Perhaps it came from that nurturing instinct that had rooted itself so far down inside of her that she instantly connected to those in need. Or maybe it had sprouted from her attempts to make up for Merlion’s own rotten behavior towards the girl, but all the same Cleo had already begun to mentally adopt Ana into her pride. It was a large pride by now, full of Merlion, his parents and their familiars, not to mention all of those students that Merlion had taken on to train and work with. Even Elaine was part of Cleo’s pride, and now, as far as she was concerned, so was Ana.
So it came as quite a bit of surprise when the princess took off running, clearly distressed. This seemed to catch Merlion’s attention as well as Cleo’s as they both turned to watch. Merlion muttered something under his breath - which Cleo was sure was some sort of curse - and started off after her. For all that he was worth, and how often Cleo felt as though she had to reprimand him for his behavior, Merlion truly was good of heart, he might’ve tried his best to hide it with a mask of annoyance, but Cleo could see the concern hidden within his eyes. He might not care for the princess - or any royalty at all for that matter - but he was a good person and would help Ana in anyway that he could, Cleo knew that much.
Still though, Cleo wasn’t all that sure how helpful Merlion could even be in this situation. Something - most likely someone - had caused distress to fall upon the girl and although Cleo knew Merlion to be good at heart, that didn’t change the fact that on the outside he wasn’t quite as welcoming and soft as she knew he could be.
It didn’t take long for Cleo to reach Ana and without even putting thought into it, the lion padded down until she was standing right next to her, resting her paws down to lie down beside the princess, a comforting lion-like purr emitting from her as she gently placed her head on top of Ana. The girl had taken quite the fall, though she didn’t quite seem ready to get up yet, and that was okay. Cleo would stay by her side until Ana felt well enough to get back up, and they could offer her some more help.
”Is everything okay?”
Cleo lifted her head slightly at Merlion’s question, giving him a look. Merlion seemed to get the idea and fell quiet. He watched Cleo with Ana for a few moments longer before gesturing back towards the center of the cavern, sending a questioning look back to Cleo. He wanted to make something. Cleo nodded, allowing it. Not only would that get the son of Merlin and Hazel away from here for now, but it would give him something to do and offer something to Ana once she was feeling up to it.
So with that Merlion turned back around, wise enough to let Cleo handle this. He should know well enough by now that Cleo had a system for comforting others that often relied on who that person was or what they needed at the time. After all, Merlion had often been the person in question that had needed comfort from the lioness.
He put on a tough face, but Cleo knew all too well that that wasn’t the Merlion underneath. The Merlion she knew came with meltdowns and nights spent next to her, unable to be alone. He came with both a light and a rain and enough of his own issues that they could fill a small book. More often than not, it was Merlion that was cuddled up against her, sobbing, as she comforted him. He would know better to get involved when he wasn’t needed.
So for now, it was just Cleo and Ana as Cleo did her best to soothe the girl until she was ready to leave their spot on the ground.

Kingston Connelly Arendelle-Bjorgman Son of Kristoff and Anna
Kingston stood there, completely still for the most part as he listed to Hecate, making sure that the Mewni prince of Hell had his complete attention. Laughter was fine, he wasn’t mad about that. That was good to know, Kingston had been worried there for a few moments that somehow, out of all the people on all of Auradon, Kingston had been the one to somehow start an inter-dimensional war between their two homes. It would’ve been awful, and he likely would have been either killed or even worse: sent to the Isle to get ruthlessly murdered there. Or maybe he’d be killed here, and then brought back to life by the Fairy Godmother only to be sent to the Isle and then maimed there.
A fitting punishment for anyone that caused such a war to start, if Kingston did say so himself. He would’ve deserved every painful, agonizing death he was put through.
Luckily though, that hadn’t happened and Kingston didn’t have to worry about his double-death Isle sentence just yet. After all, Hecate hadn’t been mad, in fact he still seemed rather relaxed and it was contagious even if becoming fully relaxed probably wasn’t something Kingston was capable of.
He did calm down a little though and relaxed his shoulders as he offered the shorter man a smile. ”Heh, I’m glad I didn’t offend you, that would’ve been awful...” Kingston trailed off for a second, looking at the ground, freezing for a second as K-Pop was brought up. He looked back up at the Mewni transfer, cocking his head a little to the side as he looked at him curiously. ”K-Pop?” He questioned. That was an interesting choice in music. Still, it was no place of his to judge, nor did he want to risk it. So instead Kingston just nodded in understanding. ”Right...noted.” No saying anything bad about K-Pop ever. Kingston could do that, he already didn’t have an opinion on the music genre. There was nothing bad he could think to say about it.
Then the prince looked around, shuffling his feet a little. They had just been standing here for quite some time now, hadn’t they? ”I guess we should probably um,” what had been the original reason for meeting together like this? Hecate had been interested in Auradon, right? That felt right. So now it fell upon Kingston to educate him on all the wonderful things Auradon had to offer, all the while hoping he never found out what an actual hummingbird was unless he wanted the strange - yet handsome - boy to become angry at him for lying about that. ”Did you want to go somewhere? So we’re not just standing out here?” The son of Anna and Kristoff asked as he looked back up from the ground, eyes meeting Hecate’s...or trying to anyways, it was a little hard to meet the gaze of all three eyes.

Adrian Benjamin Amable Blaise Arthur Bete son of Beauty and the Beast It was a fair question. Why would anyone steal magic? There wasn't a need for magic given the ban, and in the case they wanted more of their own, what was the point of the ban when people wouldn't listen to it? It wasn't as though the ban protected people given that practically no one would use it to turn some -sshole in a fuzzy monster. But a ban was a ban. "It's a theoretical thing, I guess. Better to take precautions than let it happen once and put it into effect." Adrian knew if he thought about it too much, it would lead to things he didn't want to question. Things he shouldn't question.
Now, Adrian wasn't an expert on magic. But he had a general idea of explanation to give the far too cat-like princess. "Perhaps steal wasn't the best word, more like block you from using it. So you may have it in you, but are unable to use the magic. Knowing how to survive without it would help. Like I said, it's an entirely theoretical situation that may or may not happen is all. My father just put the rule in place to avoid it completely, and give everyone more of an equal ground to stand on overall."
He paused as she pointed out he did grow up with Beast as a father talking about this and that and most importantly magic. It was banned for so many reasons, he saw it as dangerous and never to be used for 'equality,' "developing other skills," and 'the safety of the public.' Of course it wasn't Adrian's only reason for understanding the magic ban. He started to speak before immediately taking it back, "That and- never mind." Adrian didn't have magic and it was easy to see issues that could occur in the case some people had magic and others didn't. While one with magic could spend 5 minutes on a spell to do homework, one without might spend an hour. And the equality there was disappointing.
That wasn't to say Adrian disliked people with magic, in all regards he was rather fascinated instead. If given the option, and it was somehow possible, he would love to learn even just one small spell. Of course, it would be absurd to think about that considering magic was banned. There was no way for him to learn magic in that case, and he pushed it aside as amazement rather than anything serious, after all, it wasn't something he could compliment. Just.... berate instead. If it where legal still... he shouldn't think of it simply because it wasn't, and that was that.
Then she tackled him. He was surprised, his hand slipping, dragging the pencil with it until it eventually let go. A jagged line was going to be across the drawing when he look back to it, Adrian was sure. Nothing that couldn't be fixed- but that wasn't the prince's concern. He was grateful when she unlatched herself from him, however she immediately went to bounding around the room. And then in a way, he was put on the spot.
If he said yes, it'd mean he'd have to deal with her more than he felt personally. Her, her brother, and their friend. In a place Adrian didn't know and was unfamiliar with and would be horribly out of place. Though, he was now admittedly curious for numerous reasons. Solving the mystery of what either a buff or spagettum frog looked like was won. He doubted he would be stuck up on that, but he'd never really need to wonder afterwards. It was a new place he could see in person with hopefully different literature and general knowledge. Likely try and impress his father on some level and try to befriend important people there on a side thing.
Plus, it would kinda be nice to get a break from.... Auradon. Different rules to be concerned about. And it'd certainly be something to tell Alicio and Honoka. He looked to the girl on the ground, Adrian noticed she looked like a cat as equally as she acted like one, and answered, "I- I suppose it wouldn't hurt to go once."

Matthias Aksel Alexsen son of Melody and Alex Matthias had started to worry that he had talked to much. But he really was passionate about it. It was a little funny actually. Matthias was actually barred from making any jokes about it, cause apparently his grandmother and mother were still a little too shaken up after their encounters with octopus ladies. He knew he had once and was met with disapproving looks, but honestly, when your grandmother abandoned the ocean for land and your mother abandoned land for the ocean, when the youngest of the family had a thing for the sky, it was freaking hilarious.
Now he wasn't allowed to joke about going off to the highest mountains to find another octopus lady, or really just try and find another one in general, and decide to get wings. Obviously he wouldn't do that, considering it'd mean needing to do something stupid probably in return for the witch, but it'd be hella funny to simply keep up those ideas....
Point being, he liked the sky and had probably thought a little bit too much on it and done a little too much research into it. He gave a little nervous to smile to Blaise, "Yeah, I suppose you could say that..." Probably a little too passionate, given his probable willingness to turn into a bird-creature. Though, that was now a question of actually wanting to live in the sky or just continuing the family joke.
"Wait, really?" His eyes went a little wide in excitement. He had been worried that he was boring Blaise instead, rambling along. "A- Absolutely! Uh, where to start? ... Uh! How about with- ooh! okay, so you know the red and oranges on a sunset. Well, I've heard a person or two talk about how pollution causes it to be like that, but it's actually not! Uhm, well, not the main cause. If anything, it'd probably just enhance it in a way but pol-, er, well, the main reason is cause of the way the sun hits the Earth around that time. Uh... Clouds! Clouds actually make sunsets better if you ever noticed. It's cause of the light on them, clouds take the colour going through them and shows that as the main colour, which just kinda makes sunsets all the prettier."
Matthias's hadn't realized he had went to stare at the sky, but realizing it, he looked up to the clouds in the sky with a grin. "Glad there are clouds today, yesterday was a terrible day to see a cloudy sunset, but if they all kinda stick around later, today is gonna be a day I stay up late again." He turned to look at Blaise. "You could totally stay up with me to see it! Ooh! And if you're up for it, the stars at night to! Unless, you know, you want to keep a healthy sleep schedule, in which case, don't worry about it. But I swear, it would be totally worth it! Or maybe that's just my excitement talking...." He trailed off.
"Right! Clouds! Did you know that clouds actually way a lot? I'm not even talking a couple of pounds. Those clouds in the sky right now, probably more than a million pounds of water right above us. Like, it's just pounds and pounds of water- once it gathers even more and becomes a thunderstorm and starts raining down on everyone, if it manages to, would be billions of pounds- and hell, maybe even trillions. And it's all just in the air, above us, like it is nothingness. Crazy, right?"
"It actually kinda sucks that crazy thunderstorms don't really happen though. Cause like, sometimes mammatus clouds form. From what I've seen, they looks really pretty. Part of the Altostratus cloud family. As of which, 10 types of clouds, but so many variations of them, it's insane! Oh, and one found out more recently, the Asperitas! Really rare to see, but pretty damn cool. It's like the ocean in the sky, with all the rolling motions of it, personally my favourite for obvious reasons."
"That's not even counting other types not really mentioned. Like Nacreous clouds! Also called polar stratospheric clouds. Full on iridescence! Just, in the sky. I mean, normal clouds can be incandescent, but not in the way nacreous clouds are! And then there are the really pretty blue-based Noctilucent clouds, like distant cousins of the Nacreous clouds! Kinda wispy, but blue and beautiful. Both are generally found in the polar areas of the world, which I'd love to visit if it meant seeing those beauties."
"And there these is- shoot. I- I've been talking a lot, and I know you said you wanted to hear more- but... uh. Did I speak too much?" Matthias questioned pausing once he realized just how much he rambled on for. It was a lot and went from sunsets to clouds weighing a lot to types of clouds, from the after thunderstorm clouds to the newest addition to the family to some polar clouds... It was a lot and the merman could probably keep going on. He knew way too much about that kind of things. And.... And none of that was even getting into how much he knew about beyond the sky. Space, the astral place.

Hecate Lucitor son of tom and hekapoo
Even if he didn’t seem like it, Hecate could be an observant person. He wasn’t all cocky smiles and quippy remarks. As a crown prince he kind of needed to be aware of certain things, especially when it came to the attitudes and body language of those he was interacting with. How many times had he heard that a kind smile could be hiding malicious intent? Sometimes finding that malice was by looking into somebody’s eyes, by really searching, or by looking at their movements and notice that a finger was twitching in a certain way, or that a leg was holding more weight than the other. Shifty glances, shifty stances. Hecate was actually good about picking up on those certain ques. It was something his father had taught him - he had a lot of useful king knowledge now that he was king. Hecate’s grandmother also had a lot of useful information when it came to politics and monarchy things. So even though he acted as he did, Hecate was actually well versed in such topics.
Such as it was, the monster boy could see the way Kingston relaxed, even if just by a smidgen. The his shoulders seemed to relax and fall into a more natural position told Hecate all he needed to know; his humor had offered the pretty Earth boy a respite from stress or worry. That made him feel good. He felt like he was doing something good by just being himself, by just talking with Kingston. Maybe while Kingston taught him about Auradon he could help the boy out by getting him to relax a little bit, to learn how to chill or something.
There was a shift in Kingston when K-Pop was brought up; however, it wasn’t a bad shift, and this elicited an amused snort from the Mewni boy. ”I’ll let you listen to some of my favorite songs and bands some time.” Poor Kingston would need to be saved if he agreed to that offer. When it came to K-Pop Hecate was a little...enthusiastic about it. Back at his home in Mewni he may or may have fifteen K-Pop posters up on his walls. As for other merch, he did get to bring a good amount of his K-Pop shirts with him to Auradon. Maybe he would wear one tomorrow, he hadn’t worn any since getting here. It would be nice to break the shirts out. Maybe he would even find somebody who enjoyed that genre as well, and if so, they better be ready for a conversation. Hecate could talk about K-pop for hours.
Oh right! There was an actual reason behind meeting with Kingston other than to stare at his handsome face. He was going to teach him all there was about Auradon.
Where could they start? There was so much that Auradon could offer from what Hecate had heard about the dimension. He was stumped for a moment, thinking about where they could. And then it came to him. ”There’s a garden place around here, right? We can go there and hang out while you tell me all about this place,” Hecate suggested. Then that half-lipped smirk turned all the more devilish as he added, ”It’ll be like a romantic date, just the two of us. Maybe even some hummingbirds.” Hey, the creatures were harmful, but they were pretty, and Hecate’s sting didn’t bother him anymore.

Aubriana Dammerüng daughter of aurora and phillip
None of this was Cleo’s fault. None of it was even Merlion’s fault, and it had been his words that set the blonde princess off. All of the fault was on her. She was the pathetic, just a waste of time and space, really. Even here on the ground she was taking up too much space. She was covering this wonderful cave floor with her blood, the red ribbon of her putrid existence. This cave didn’t deserve any of that. Here she was, contaminating a wonderful place. Ana shouldn’t even be here, shouldn’t have even stepped foot inside this natural wonder. This place was for magic users, and Merlion had made that very clear to her, yet she had persisted anyway. All of this was her own fault so she shouldn’t feel as bad as she did, right?
Despite her body shivering from panic and the sobs that racked her, Ana felt the presence of another creature coming up on her, but she didn’t move. Maybe it would be some bloodthirsty animal out to get her. The thought didn’t scare her, but instead it gave her a flicker of hope. Maybe this would finally be the end...maybe she would feel the creature part its jaws open around her throat and then snap close, fangs slicing through her flesh with ease, blood pooling out, the life fading from her eyes…
Instead of hearing the sickening crunch of bones she heard the distinct rumble of feline purr. Or, well, it sounded close enough to a purr that Ana was going to describe it as such.
For a second there the blonde wanted to push herself away from any help. She didn’t need pity or sympathy, no, she needed no mercy. She needed somebody to help her end this pathetic existence. But instead of pulling away from the comforting presence that was Cleo, Ana found herself reaching out for the lion. Nobody, or nothing, had ever truly tried to comfort her before in this way. Then again, nobody would ever want to comfort the blonde; they would think of her distress as silly, dumb, the mere panic of a child, not an adult princess. These thoughts ran through her mind, but Ana felt only genuine concern radiating from Cleo, a concern that was warm and open, a concern that was as gentle as the breeze yet as fierce as a storm. It even felt...motherly, a feeling that was practically foreign to the daughter of Aurora and Phillip. Perhaps it was the strangeness of it that attracted Ana to it or something altogether, but she had now moved herself in such a way that she was huddled up against the lioness. Perhaps her brain was muddied from the panic, but she actually felt like she was cared about for once.
Tears continued to drip from her eyes as she lay there beside the feline. Even when Merlion’s voice drifted over the only thing Ana did was flinch back closer into Cleo. The fleeting thought of the warlock being angry at her for running away and then taking Cleo from him passed her mind, but she didn't hold on to it. Instead she held on to the boy’s familiar like she was gripping onto her very own life. Well, that wasn't a very good comparison here with Ana, but you get the idea.
Even after Merlion had walked away the blonde princess continued to hold on to Cleo. Maybe, just maybe, the lioness wasn't angry with her. Maybe she actually cared… Or maybe she was doing this to have something on Ana later. Blackmail. It didn't feel like that's what Cleo would do, and she didn't seem like the type of person - er, familiar - to be that way, but that's what Ana had thought about Bella at first.
Perhaps five minutes passed before Ana felt her tears stop and her panic subside. Other than a numbness in her chest the only other thing she felt was the sting of her arm where she had scraped it. Finally, she found her voice, as choked and raw as it sounded. ”...I'm sorry,” she managed to get out. ”I ruined your day, didn't I?” After all she was good about that, wasn't she? How many times had she gone out and ruined the day of her parents? She couldn't even count the number of times she had ruined something for her mother and father, especially when she had been younger and before she had figured out that her parents had never wanted her, before she found out that having a kid had gotten in the way of them spending time together, and if her own parents didn't want her then there was no way anybody else, especially a wizard’s familiar, would want her around.

Stella Butterfly daughter of star and marco
If she was being completely honest then she would admit to the fact that she wasn’t exactly listening to Adrian anymore. Even though she was a princess the topic of politics and rules and bans weren’t exactly something that interested her. That was what Saros needed to do. He was the one that needed to take at least a small interest in politics and things like that considering he was going to one day be the true ruler of Mewni. Technically it should have been Stella as the crown princess of Mewni. If the king and queen had a son first and then a daughter, such as the case with Marco and Star, the daughter would be the one to take over the throne, but the two had decided against that rule, and honestly Stella was glad for that. She didn’t want to be a queen. It seemed fun, but she didn’t want all that responsibility. She liked being able to just hang out and do what she wanted and crowned princes or princesses couldn’t do that all the time.
All of this talk had left Stella with energy. She had been sitting around for far too long - her attention span had never been the best.
This pent up energy was what caused her to leap at Adrian and practically tackle him. Even though she wasn’t a cat by any means there was still something like a purr that came from the young girl, a sound that vibrated from the back of her throat.
After the impromptu hug the Mewni transfer went on to bound around the room, fully enjoying herself. This was something she enjoyed, something she liked doing. It was better than being forced to talk politics or to think about bans and regulations and all that gross stuff. Stella liked being on the go, not being cooped up in one place or being put into a box and forced to think about only one thing. She needed room to go and do as she pleased. One time she had been stuck in a room for three hours - she hadn’t realized that she herself could unlock the door and escape - and within that three hours she had gotten on top of the computer desk, knocked over the keyboard, spilled a bottle of water, shattered a flower pot, and ate the flower that had been in it. All within three hours. Because she had been locked in a room. So she destroyed it. Lesson here was do not let Stella Butterfly into your room unless it will for sure stay unlocked.
Once again her attention jumped to something else.
Ooooh, what was this? Did Adrian Bête just agree to go to Mewni with her?
An excited yelp came from the Mewni girl. ”You really wanna go? Oh, this is great! I’ll have to tell Mom and Dad and let them know! I guess Saros and Hecate should know, too, but that can happen later. When do you want to go? We can go tomorrow.” Because school and classes apparently meant nothing to Stella. ”Should we go in the morning or later? I know Dad would want to clean up the castle a bit and probably prepare some kind of meal, but we can go as soon as we want! How about it, huh?” Man, this was going to be so much fun! She could show Adrian all of her favorite things about Mewni. She could show him her pet Popcorn and could show him Gam Gam Eclipse and Pop Pop Globgor and just all kinds of things. Oh, she was just so excited already! This was going to be so much fun.

Cleopatra Sumnar Familiar of Merlion Sumnar
Being careful not to accidentally crush the girl beside her, Cleo placed a little bit of weight down as she let out the almost-purr from deep within her throat and chest. Over the years, Cleo had met quite a lot of people, many of which had needed comfort at some point in their lives and she had been the one to give them it. From students gifted with magic and fearing they were doing something wrong simply by learning of it, to knights in Camelot in need of a pick me up. Cleo had been there for all of them.
Though undoubtedly the person she had to confront the most had been Merlion himself. As a child, she had only truly needed to comfort him over the small things. Whether or not another child from Camelot made him cry, or if he fell down and hurt himself. Things like that. Of course his own mother, Hazel, had also been there to comfort him, as had his father Merlin. However Cleo had hardly left his side. Their bond was strong, one never being seen without the other for very long. Over the years, Cleo was sure that out of everyone that had dealt with Merlion before, she had been there the most.
As he grew older, his problems changed from scraping his knee to worrying about girls - and guys - to insecurities that he would never be able to match up to his parents and would end up disappointing them. That had lead to other problems as well, especially when the magic bearing teenager began to grow reckless with his magic, leading to many nights where it had been Cleo who was worried over something. If Merlion got caught by someone who wasn’t born and raised in Camelot, he could find himself in trouble.
That of course, was also exactly what had happened. Merlion had been caught, though it hadn’t been bad enough to warrant a send off to the Isle like what had happened to that poor girl before. However he had been removed from Camelot as a whole and now lived under much more stern eyes in Auradon city. Messing up with magic here was not an option, especially not with so many watchful eyes on them.
After being caught and sent here was when Cleo had truly noticed more problems arising for her gifted warlock. Even now there would be times where he would break a little and confess to Cleo every problem he had been dealing with, every issue he had kept bottled up. There were quite a few nights now where the two never even made it back to the dorms, and instead remained hidden away in the safety of the cavern.
Perhaps that was why when Ana practically crumbled before her, Cleo was able to jump into action so quickly and instantly begin to comfort her. Cleo refused to simply leave her there to suffer alone, and it did seem as if the girl had needed someone for comfort. The lioness would have been willing to stay there with the princess forever if that was what she had needed.
Hearing Ana speak up after awhile, Cleo opened her eyes just a crack, looking down towards the daughter of Aurora and Phillip. She let out another soothing lion-purr in an effort to comfort her even further. ”There’s nothing to apologize for. You did nothing wrong,” Cleo reassured her softly, voice quiet and nurturing as she spoke to Ana. ”Rest assured, my day and Merlion’s is far from ruined, Ana.”

Kingston Connelly Arendelle-Bjorgman Son of Kristoff and Anna
Why was he so naturally bad at social interactions outside of a well kept classroom? Maybe it was a curse. What if he was cursed like Toby? Sure he had never come out and said he was cursed, but that much bad luck had to be a curse, there just wasn’t anyway around that. What if Kingston was like that too, but instead of having enough bad luck to have broken one hundred mirrors under fifty ladders, surrounded by a million pure black cats, he was just really bad at social interactions. That was a thing, right? Cursed to have bad social interactions out of fear you would somehow mess it up?
Okay he was probably being a little ridiculous right now. Sure it was an awkward conversation so far on his part, but that didn’t mean it was awkward all around, and Hecate seemed to actually be enjoying himself. Maybe Kingston should relax...of course that was easier to say than to do when his thoughts kept making roundabouts to the exact same thing he had been trying to shake off in the first place. It was like going in circles. Ugly circles meant to cause him more problems than he actually needed. Curse you mind circles.
Finally looking back to Hecate, the son of Anna and Kristoff offered him a smile. ”That would be nice,” he said, thinking back to the type of music Hecate seemed to enjoy. Kingston doubted he’d enjoy it. He did happen to be quite picky about his choice in music. However he wouldn’t refuse the offer to listen to some of this K-Pop that Hecate enjoyed. In fact, it only seemed fair to him. ”Only if I can show you some of my favorite music as well,” he added, growing a little more relaxed now that they seemed to settle into an easy conversation.
Now that did seem like a fair trade for him. Hecate should introduce Kingston into the world of K-Pop, and in return Kingston could bring the Mewni transfer to one of the pianos the school had and introduce him to the magic of Beethoven. Now that was what Kingston called music. Soothing yet intense and truly a masterpiece of everything the world had to offer and ever would. However thoughts of Beethoven soon fled from his mind so quickly it was almost sad that it hadn’t been the music that his mind had chosen to revolve around instead. A date? Kingston’s eyes widened. Was this a date? It couldn’t be. Kingston didn’t remember either actually asking the other out on a date.
He shot a look down at his clothes.
He wasn’t even dressed for a date. He looked like he had just thrown on whatever clothes he had in his closet this morning and called it good. Now granted, that is what he had done. After getting ready for the day he had simply thrown on the first to clothing items he could find and wiggled into them. If he had known this was going to be a date, he’d have at least tried to make himself look like a prince.
Oh wait.
Hecate was probably joking.
Yeah, that seemed like something Hecate would do. He seemed like the type that would joke about things being dated when that wasn’t true. Not that Kingston would object to this being a date, he was just horribly unprepared for a date right now. If they were going to go on a date at some point, Kingston would appreciate some forewarning so he could prepare.
But this wasn’t a date, and so he forced himself to relax. Oh, haha, right. The garden is a good place to start,” Kingston agreed, already starting off. ”Come on, I’ll show you where it is. It’s really pretty, especially in winter. There’s no snow on the ground right now, but it’s still really pretty,” Kingston explained as he walked. The garden really was one of his favorite places, even if it didn’t currently have the magical snowy cover that he had seen take over the garden before. It truly was a sight to see in winter, though it wasn’t bad now either.

Blaise Bastian Antoine Augustin Bête Son of Beast & Belle
Oh, he did have quite a lot to say on the subject, didn’t he? Blaise sat in quiet amazement as he listened to and watched Matthias jump into his thoughts on the sky. It was endearing in a way to listen to him ramble on about it all. Blaise had never before taken an interest in the sky, and now he was beginning to wonder why not. From everything Matthias had to say about it, the sky truly seemed to be a remarkable thing, even if Blaise had never before seen it as such. Perhaps he needed to look up more often.
Now, granted, Blaise got a little lost as Matthias continued, and if he was to be completely honest here, he wasn’t actually paying attention to what Matthias was saying. Instead the prince of Auradon had gotten a little swept up in simply listening to him. Watching as his roommate lit up with a spark he hadn’t seen in him before. He was passionate about the sky in a way Blaise had never been. Though then again, Blaise hadn’t exactly been passionate about anything, had he? Perhaps he should put a little more effort into things he enjoyed as well.
By the time Matthias ended, Blaise found himself grinning over at the other boy, a faint chuckle escaping his lips. ”Talk too much? Heavens no. It was actually quite fun, to hear everything you have to say about the sky, you make it sound like it truly is a remarkable thing,” Blaise explained to him, leaning back to press his back to the bark of the tree as he looked up at the sky. The sky that he had never truly appreciated before, had he? Matthias seemed to think it was something wonderful. Perhaps Blaise simply hadn’t ever looked at it right.

Anubus Olympia Son of Zeus and Aphrodite
Anubus couldn’t help but grin widely at her laugh. It was so musical. It warmed his stone cold heart. Wow way to be a cliche. He rolled his eyes internally, but thankfully not physically or she may have thought it was directed at her, and that would not have been good for him. “What can I say? Mushrooms are so good even a god can love them.”
Way to shove your power in her face. Can’t you even speak without your foot in your mouth? No probably not.
Anubus took a deep breath and looked at her carefully, trying to gauge her annoyance with him, so far so good. She didn’t look like she wanted to choke him out or anything. Which had actually happened before. Can you believe it? Who would possibly want to assault someone with a face like this?
“Ranch?”
He blinked and focused on her again. He really needed better attentive skills. Especially if he ever wanted to get farther with this girl than just going on dates with her. He wanted to kiss her and not just the polite first kiss, but like a passionate kiss that made her knees weak.
“Well if you recommend it, it must be delicious.”
Yes. Good. Smooth talk her. Don’t be an idiot.
The high pitched, nasally voice of their teacher. As much as he wanted to continue their conversation he knew she wouldn’t if class was starting, so he leaned forward as far as his desk would allow and he reached up, letting his thumb caress her cheek. “Time for class little troublemaker.” He winked and leaned a little farther like he was going to kiss her again, then just before their faces touched he pulled away, leaving her to want more, something he would be more than willing to collect.

Bethany "Bettie" Benitoite Dwarf Daughter of Bashful
Eloise looked really nervous, and that made Bettie nervous. Oh god. Ellie wasn’t dumping her was she? Bettie’s heart was all but pounding out of her chest right now. What if she was? What if she’d done all this to soften the blow? Oh god that made perfect sense. Eloise was about to dump her. For someone better no doubt. Maybe Bettie had been too hard about Ellie forgetting their date. And now she had finally realized she was better off. Bettie all but had tears in her eyes when she saw the velvet box. Wait. What’s in the box? A ring. It’s a ring. Bettie’s eyes went from terrified to shook. It was a ring. A ring. Ellie was giving her a ring.
Speechless. The dwarf girl looked at the ring, to her girlfriend, who definitely was not dumping her, and then back to the ring. This was really happening. Bethany Dwarf pinched her leg a little to make sure she wasn’t dreaming. Nope it hurt. Definitely real. Eloise wanted to be with her forever. The tears had returned and were slipping down her cheeks, but not from sadness. Bethany was grinning from ear to ear. “Oh Ellie.” She murmured at the end of her girlfriends long proclamation of well love and a bit of rambling at the end.
“I love it. I love you.”
The dwarf girl tackled her girlfriend into their blanket and hugged her tightly, kissing both of the other girl’s cheeks excitedly. Bettie was blushing darkly now from her own actions, but she looked down at the ring and slid it onto her finger and hugged her girlfriend again.
“It’s perfect.” She buried her face into her girlfriend’s chest, getting it a little wet from all of her happy crying. It probably wasn’t the moment Ellie had been expecting, or hoping for, but it was definitely a good moment for the two, even if they did have a rough patch every now and again.

Pandora Pink Daughter of Piglet
Theodore had never once been afraid of anything in her entire life, unless it had to do with water. That was the only thing Pandora had ever seen her best friend even hesitate over. She was so grateful when he still jumped in after her, though she did get thoroughly soaked by his actions, she brushed it off.
A giggle left her as she splashed him back. “It’s so much fun.” Something he hated and she loved, yet here he was still swimming beside her, just like she knew he would. Teddy was her very best friend and Pandora wasn’t sure she would ever find another like him. Not that she wanted to ever risk losing him and having to find another best friend.
That would be a mess, she wasn’t even close with her roommates, let alone having to find people who weren’t forced into living in the same confined space as her. Pandora smiled at Teddy and splashed him happily again.
“See swimming can be fun.” Even if Teddy began to struggle, Pandora would save him, without hesitation. She could swim, very well at that, but she was smaller than him, so she may struggle some to get him up. Though they say adrenaline can help with that a lot.

Georgina "GiGi" Garnet Dwarf Daughter of Grumpy
Georgina had forgotten Winona was even coming for a bit there. Getting so lost in her own head was a real problem for her and she had allowed it to completely distract her from the real world. Luckily for her Winona wasn’t the kind of friend to just bust into her room, and she had been allowed the chance to cover up her arm, or there would have been and entirely different problem on their hands and it wouldn’t have been the fact Winona was late for their meetup. Winona was always late. Honestly, Georgina couldn’t remember a time when Winona was on time. It had gotten to the point where Georgina told Winona times before she actually had to be somewhere so she was closer to on time than she would be if given the real time of events.
Winona’s hug always made her feel better. She felt safe. Something she could only say for one other. Her boyfriend. He wasn’t always so, well, distant. When they were alone and it was late he was very sweet to her and on several occasions now she’d ended up in his bed after a nightmare and he’d held her through the night until she was asleep. He kept the nightmares at bay. So maybe that was why she was so obsessed with him not kissing her. It was like she was good enough when no one was watching but not in public. Then again he wouldn’t kiss her when they were alone either and not from lack of trying on her part.
Winona apologized for being late, but GiGi was already focused on something else. She got a damp washcloth and came over, wiping the dried paint from the bunny’s cheek, cleaning her up as she spoke.
“Its Blaise.” Two words the poor rabbit girl was probably sick of hearing by this point.
“Am I not good enough to kiss? Am I just too ugly? Do I have bad breath?”
She pulled the washcloth away from Winona’s face, not bothering to clean up her arms or hands, knowing that was a lost cause. The poor dwarf girl had tears in her eyes as she slumped back onto her bed, looking at Winona’s face, her eyes swimming with unshed tears.
“Am I really that bad that the thought of kissing me literally makes him run from the room?” She sniffled and crossed her arms and held herself. “I shouldn’t cry over him he’s just a boy, but..but how come he doesn’t look at me like guys look at their girlfriends? It’s like he’s disgusted by the thought of touching me.”
A small sob left her. “Am I disgusting?” She was rambling and quickly, spiraling farther and farther into her own self hatred.

Selene Sapphire Dwarf Daughter of Sneezy
Fidgeting was not one of her best qualities, but a common one. Whenever the dwarf girl had to wait for more than five minutes for something she fidgeted, or if she were nervous. It was like a compulsion, her fingers had to be doing something, so in this case they played with the ends of her hair, tugging and teasing it some, even braiding random sections. She really needed to stop doing that, her hair would be all knotted up again by the time the poor boy got her.
Finally there was a loud thud on her door. He was here. Selene was suddenly very nervous as she jumped out of her seat and walked over to the door. Her hand hesitated on the knob and she waited a second. It couldn’t seem like she’d raced to the door like she just had. It had to seem like she took her time, or he’d think she was clingy and would change his mind. But she also couldn’t make him wait too long or he would think she wasn’t interested. This whole dating thing was much too stressful. Maybe she should call the whole thing off, but the look of joy on his face when she’d given him her number made her throw that idea away altogether. No. This is what they both wanted, she hoped.
Opening the door, Selene’s eyes brightened as she looked up at his face, a smile spreading quickly across her features. “Florian.” The dwarf girl stepped back from her door and grabbed the bag with her things in it, like a towel and change of clothes, before coming out of the room. “Ready?” She nervously tucked her hair behind her ear, but tried to keep her face calm and not let him realize how knotted her stomach was right now.
Walking with Florian wasn’t as easy as she made it seem. Selene’s legs were MUCH shorter than his, but luckily for her she had plenty of practice keeping up with people. Thankfully the walk to the lake wasn’t too far and this late in the evening most people would be occupied already, so no one really bothered them as they slipped into the forest to swim together, alone.
When they arrive Selene stopped at the edge of the sand and set her bag down, taking off her sandals, and letting her lace cover up fall on top of the bag, so she was just standing there in her bikini now. Lifting her head up she smiled at Florian.
“Thank you for accompanying me. I don’t like swimming alone. They say swimming with a friend is always safer.” Way to take your date and turn it into the friendzone Selene. She turned towards the lake and walked down the warm sand and into the water, which had been warmed by the sun all day and actually felt very nice. She sighed happily and turned back to look at him once she was waist deep. “Well are you coming?” Selene called back to him, teasing him playfully. This was going to be fun, even if she did end up putting her foot in her mouth all night. Although the dwarf girl did have other plans for her mouth, and his.

Aubriana Dammerüng daughter of aurora and phillip
To be completely honest Ana was waiting for the moment when Cleo smacked her with one of her large lion paws or when the lioness told her just how pathetic she was. She was waiting for that moment, waiting for it to happen. It would totally and completely upset her, of course, but she deserved it. She knew she was just getting in the way and getting on Cleo's nerves. She had for sure gotten on Merlion's nerves, and if her knowledge on familiars was correct, wouldn't the lioness and her wizard feel the same emotions? Or something like that? So when Merlion felt annoyed or something so would Cleo. Maybe she was wrong, but a part of her felt like it was true. Or at least partly true. A familiar and person bond was strong, or it had to be for it to work. There was no way they didn't share emotions from time to time.
But enough of that.
Ana froze when she heard Cleo's voice. She blinked, a few leftover tears sliding down her cheeks from the gesture. "...Really?" She asked, her voice as soft and quiet as a ghost. It was almost like she wasn't even there, or that her words had never really been spoken at all, but surely to a big cat the word was easy to pick up on. It couldn't be any harder than picking up the faint scuffling of a mouse yards and yards away.
The blonde sniffled as she took one arm away from the familiar and used it to wipe her face. Ugh, she was disgusting, wasn't she? She felt the warm wetness of her tears collect on her arm as she slid it across her face one more time. Well, she may be disgusting, but at least she wasn't crying any more, right? Eh, she'd probably have something else to cry about soon enough. Ana was a crybaby, that's all there was to it. She cried over way too many things that shouldn't even be cried over. Like that one time when somebody told her she looked like a sickly Antarctic toothfish that had been pulled up by its tail from a hole in the ice back in fourth grade. That had made her cry for way too long. All she had been doing was minding her own business, doodling on some paper like any fourth grader would. She was a terrible artist, but she loved to draw anyway. Anyway, she had drawn this entire Antarctic ecosystem on her piece of paper when a fellow student had walked over, pointed at the blob that she had drawn to represent a toothfish, and that's when the harsh words had been said. Maybe it was time for her to forget that that had ever happened, but she couldn't. Sometimes she thought about that a lot until it upset her all over again. It was just like how she needed to get over that one time when she was also still just in elementary school and her mother had promised to pick her up from school that day. She had been so excited because it meant spending time with her mother, something she never really got to do. So when school had let out that day she had rushed outside, waiting and waiting for Aurora to show up and pick her daughter up. Seconds had turned into minutes and, eventually, she had come to realize that her mother wasn't going to pick her up. She had forgotten all about her promise to little Ana. By now she really needed to get over things that happened when she was that young, and she really needed to become numb to anything that involved her parents, but even to this day she still sometimes found herself crying over it until she eventually fell asleep.
Yeah, she was that pathetic.
Pushing aside those thoughts, Ana wrapped her arm back around Cleo, finding comfort in the magical creature's presence. "I wish I could have a familiar..." She murmured, almost without realizing it. It would be nice to have just one thing be close to her...just one thing there for her no matter what. Something there for her to love and something to love her back.
Man, it would feel amazing to finally love something and have it return those feelings.

Hecate Lucitor son of tom and hekapoo
When it came to music, Hecate wasn't a very picky guy. He liked anything with a good beat to it pretty much. Sure, he had a preference for boy bands and the likes, especially K-Pop boy bands, but that didn't mean he would deny listening to anything else. He was an open-minded individual, or he liked to think he was, when it came to music. So when Kingston mentioned showing off some of the music he liked, the son of Tom and Hekapoo was instantly interested. He offered a flashy smile, fangs glinting in the light from the sun. "That sounds great!" As the words slipped from his lips his tail came up and twitched a few times, the extra appendage showing off even more excitement than what just regular expressions could. Now, of course, the demon boy was intrigued, and poor Kingston was going to have to deal with that. "What kind of music do you like?" Considering he didn't seem to be into K-Pop and all that already, Hecate could only wonder what the son of Anna and Kristoff was into. Probably something soothing, he seemed like that kind of guy. Or, who knew? Maybe Kingston would surprise Hecate and be into total death metal or something like that. It didn't seem likely, but it was a possibility.
For a moment Hecate took the time to look Kingston over as he had done earlier. The prince seemed more at ease now, not as stiff as he had been earlier. If they kept this up then perhaps the blond would grow to be completely relaxed around Hecate. That would be nice, wouldn't it? Yeah, it would be really nice.
But, of course, that relaxation from Kingston didn't last long. Hecate was sure it had to do with his little date comment, but the chance to say something like that had been right there. There was no way he was going to have had let that slip away without grabbing ahold of it. Maybe he should have done just, though. No. No, he wasn't going to let himself feel guilty about that. No, he was going to let himself remain chill and happy. He was going on a "date" with Kingston and that was a good thing. A very good thing. He couldn't let himself ruin it before it even started.
Once he stopped himself from worrying about upsetting his newfound friend, Hecate went back to enjoying himself completely. His tail even came up and started to twitch excitingly again. "Does Auradon get a lot of snow?" Mewni got snow, but as for the realm he actually came from? Not so much. They got fire, fire, and the occasional fire. It was probably safe to say that it was too hot there for snow, which was a shame. He was sure he would look absolutely stunning on his future throne surrounded by snow. But anyway.
Hecate followed on alongside Kingston. Trying to come off as cool and suave, he let himself lean back just a bit as he slipped his hands into his pockets. He then switched to a somewhat lazier gait, his boots scuffing the ground every now and then; even his tail dragged along on the ground somewhat as well. Yeah, cool people walked just like that. He had seen how the cool, bad guy™ had walked in those chick flicks he had watched before coming to Auradon. He knew what was up.

Eloise Arendelle daughter of elsa
Bettie wasn’t saying anything. She was sitting there with wide eyes and looking like she was about to cry. Oh gods, she was going to make the Dwarf girl cry because she was angry about something because Ellie had messed up, or she was going to cry out of disgust, this being something Bettie had never wanted to happen. Ellie was going too fast with their relationship, wasn’t she? Maybe it was best for her to stop and slow down. Why promise forever when she couldn’t even promise a few hours for a date? Get it together, Ellie, come on. Not even the mental pep talk could stop her racing heart or her shaking hands. This was Eloise Iduna Arendelle, everybody, somebody who could confidently get up in front of a class to give a speech but faltered under the wide state of her girlfriend.
Then, she saw the grin that spread across Bettie’s face. The gesture was certainly contagious.
Ellie felt her own grin dance across her visage as worry melted away like dew in the sunlight.
The daughter of Elsa was just about to reach out and wipe away the happy tears when Bettie came forward and tackled her. Too happy to care, Ellie fell down onto the blanket with a laugh, her arms coming up to wrap around her girlfriend to pull her even closer. She didn’t have to worry about some sort of rejection or any anger now. Bettie was happy. This hadn’t ended their relationship in some terrible fashion. No, they were okay. They were doing better than okay, they were going as strong as ever.
Everything else now forgotten save for the excitement and mirth, Ellie simply melted into the cheek kisses from the love of her life and melted every further into her simple touch. She watched with pure affection for the Dwarf girl as she slid the ring into her finger. ”It looks amazing on you,” the strawberry blonde murmured. ”But I’m biased, everything looks perfect on you, my love.” Seriously, Bettie could wrap herself up in a disgusting faux fur cape or something that would look like it belonged to some shady Night Howler dealer and Ellie would still believe that Bettie looked absolutely perfect.

Adrian Benjamin Amable Blaise Arthur Bete son of Beauty and the Beast It was unfortunate to see her focus lost from what he was saying. Though, he could understand why. It wasn't as though what he was droning on about was of any interest. Neither to him nor the girl he was talking to. It was simply one of those topics, the whole basis of laws and why they were put into place.
Adrian spent far too much energy in it anyway. It was insanely stupid but he had taken it upon himself to be far too well versed in the law and the worst part was, he wasn't properly interested in it. He wasn't going to become a police officer, nor was he bothering to be a lawyer. He wanted to be a librarian and nothing more. And yet, he knew the ins and outs of rules and laws and how to evade certain things (certainly not as though he would ever consider following those evasions, it would be absurd). He felt forced to argue for the laws side, even if he allowed his mind to wander.
What if he could somehow attempt to learn magic? What if he participated in illegal racing for the experience of it? What if he watched bot-fighting? What if he knew people who actively did any of those and he didn't say a word? It was absolutely absurd to imagine he would even think of doing those, much less actually doing them.
And here he was, willing and agreeing to going with this eccentric girl and possibly her family for the primary sake of getting away from those rules. It would be fun telling both Alicio and Honoka of this agreement.
He couldn't help but to become frightened by her immediate reaction to his agreement though. He nodded slightly as he tried to process what she was saying. Tomorrow was school, and Adrian would be very willing to get out, but he still had to inform his father of the sudden trip. Going-to-be-trip that is. Which would be fairly easy if Adrian could get a word in with his father, give some more political-focused excuse as of why, since 'I want to go to get away from Auradon's rules and system' was a rather terrible one.
He attempted to tell Stella of his worries, "I would need to tell my father as well. And perhaps it would be better to schedule later this week? Seeing as we have classes, and it appears we would both need to inform our parents and allow them to prepare for our departure to Mewni, correct?" He hesitated a little before continuing. "However, if we can quickly get our parent's permission to go tomorrow, then I suppose it may work, even if means missing class." He wouldn't miss it.

Stella Butterfly daughter of star and marco
Man, it had been forever since she had been to Mewni. And by that she meant it had been about a week since she had been to Mewni.
Sure, Auradon was a cool place. It was new and exciting, a place that Stella had never stayed in for too long. She had been to Earth a few times to visit her dad's side of the family, but considering her mother was the reigning queen of Mewni and her father the king through marriage. Because of that they had never been able to stay for more than a few days with Marco's family, which was rather sad since Stella loved her Earth family. But anyway. She wasn't here to lament about how little time she got to spend on Earth with family, she was here to be excited about the fact that Adrian had just agreed to go to Mewni with her.
The young girl practically shook with excitement. Her amber-brown eyes glittered with her joy as she looked Adrian over, the widest grin to date on her face. Even her paw print cheek marks seemed to gleam with her heightened emotion. "I think we'll be fine to go today or tomorrow!" Stella chirped, not at all worried about giving any adult a heads up about this impromptu trip. A part of her realized that her father would like to know ahead of time, but what did that matter? Her mother would be ecstatic to see her and the friends she was making on Auradon. Mewni's king would be happy for his daughter as well, after the whole talk about how she shouldn't be jumping dimensions all wily-nilly and the fact that she even had dimensional scissors on her. But that was more on Hecate. He was always taking dimensional scissors from his parents, especially his mother who happened to practically be the dimensional scissor goddess or something like that. The demon boy would gladly let his friends borrow any pair of scissors he had, especially if it meant showing Mewni off to these Earth kids.
Adrian really did seem keen on getting permission, didn't he? Well, Stella wasn't totally heartless when it came to his wishes.
After some thought put into it, Stella jumped up and ran for the door, opening it up as if she were about to leave. "I'll call my dad or something, okay? I'll have to leave and do it, my mirror's in my room," she informed, not even thinking far enough ahead to the fact that Saros was bound to have his own in this particular room, but oh well, Stella wasn't the brightest of kids. Just before stepping outside of the room, Stella glanced back at Adrian one last time. "I can come back later to tell you what Dad said?" She asked, wondering if he would like that. If he wanted to know then they could meet back up at some point later today to go over what their parents had said. That would be nice. It wasn't like Stella had anything better to do later today anyway.

Theodore Kasper Tiger Son of Tigger and Kanga
For the briefest of moments when Teddy hit the water he was overcome with a rush of panic, he couldn’t bounce in the water, he was bounce-less, that was the problem with water. There was no bouncing in the water and what good was a tigger without a bounce in his step? Bouncing was what tiggers did best. Without his bounce, what if he began to sink and couldn’t get himself back out of the water? What if he drowned with no way to bounce back to safety? Quickly that age old panic began to arise within the tigeroo boy as he began to sink a little, only remembering to swim once his his head went under the water.
As it finally clicked in his mind that he needed to swim, Teddy pushed his body back up to the surface of the water, sticking his head out quickly to let out a gasp of breath. He looked around for a minute, quickly spotting Pandora. Right, she was here, they were out swimming, nothing all that bad here. Besides, Pandora would save him, should he ever need it. Teddy knew that much, sure she was smaller than him - even if Teddy wasn’t that tall for a guy - but she was by far the better swimmer out of the two. Teddy trusted her to come to his rescue if he ever needed it, and in return he’d always go to her rescue as well if Pandora was ever in need of a saving. Though, knowing Pandora, Teddy seriously doubted there would ever be a time where she couldn’t save herself just fine, he had that much faith in her.
Teddy let out a small laugh, swimming over towards his small, pink haired friend. ”Yeah,” he started, glancing around the water again. Just keep swimming Teddy, everything will be alright. It’s like that phrase you learned in your swimming lessons. What do we do we swim, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming-okay enough of that. ”I guess swimming can be kind of fun,” he agreed with the daughter of Piglet, a wide smile spreading over his face. Then an idea came to him and Teddy’s grin morphed into a mischievous smirk as he brought his hands up into the air and slammed them back down into the water, causing large splashes to go everywhere.
Maybe splashing was what tiggers did best.

Winona Bunny Rabbiton Daughter of The White Rabbit & Rea
Perhaps it was a little weird. The daughter of the White Rabbit and the daughter of Grumpy being friends, they didn’t even have the same sort of social circles. Winona usually stuck to fellow artists, people that appreciated her more quiet and calm nature and had the same. However no one in those circles were people she could truly consider her friends. Sure she would hang out with Ramona Bong sometimes, and she was fun, but she wasn’t GiGi. Somehow they had become friends and Winona wouldn’t trade it for the world, even if their friendship didn’t quite make sense to anyone that knew them. That was okay though, so long as GiGi saw the benefits of their friendship, Winona would be happy.
A small smile flickered across her face when GiGi wiped off any paint she still had on her face. It was a little hard to paint without getting a bit messy, that was for sure, she had thought she had done alright this time, but apparently not since she still had the paint on her face. Maybe she should actually look at her reflection before coming over next time she came. GiGi was such a pretty - no, beautiful- girl, Winona would never quite compare to her, but maybe she could put a little more effort into her looks than paint and overalls being her main fashion here...not that there was anything wrong with her oversized overalls and pink shirt underneath, it just wasn’t exactly all that fashionable on her part was it?
Then just like that all thoughts on fashion and friendships had left her mind the moment GiGi explained just what the problem was today. Blaise. She shouldn’t be surprised, it was always about the prince of Auradon, yet somehow Winona always managed to be a little surprised when GiGi explained that it was once again Blaise that had upset her. Winona just didn’t get it, here Blaise was, with the best girlfriend anyone could possibly had, and he just kept overlooking her. What kind of sane man did that? Winona would love to have GiGi as her girlfriend - not that it would ever happen, as far as she knew, her best friend was straight and Winona was not about to possibly ruin their friendship by confessing her feelings to her - yet here Blaise was, acting as if she was more of an annoyance to him than a gift.
Winona was not an easily angered person, she wasn’t a fighter, nor did she feel animosity towards anyone. However she would admit that she disliked Blaise. She hadn’t always disliked him, and she had even liked him better than some of his siblings at one point, however after hearing how he treated GiGi, it was hard not to feel angered by his attitude and even a little jealous and bitter that he just didn’t seem to appreciate what he had. However she did her best to hide her displeasure at the mention of Blaise and instead kept quiet, listening as GiGi went into a bit more detail on just what Blaise had done now.
One of these days she’d really like to...like to...maybe whack him or something, just once, softly. But it would feel pretty gosh darn good, she was sure.
Eyes wide as she looked at GiGi, Winona shook her head instantly when GiGi asked if she was disgusting. ”What? Disgusting? Heaven’s no! GiGi, you’re beautiful and talented, and anyone would be lucky to kiss you,” Winona told her stubbornly. ”Blaise...well Blaise...” Blaise could go suck a poisoned apple for all she cared...okay no, that was mean, she didn’t really mean it. ”Blaise is just a cotton headed...cotton headed...” Turns out, Winona was really bad at this whole insulting thing. ”Well, he’s just-his head is all full of cotton, that’s all,” Winona explained, hoping that would at least get across the point she was trying to make.

Felicity Callalily Fix-it Daughter of Fix it Felix & Sergeant Calhoun
This was stupid. He was just some random guy, Felicity had done a good job of keeping boys - and girls - out of her mind for years, and instead she had devoted all of her time to school. Sure she had friends...Hono, she had Hono. Okay so one friend, but a friend is still a friend, but that really wasn’t the point here. The point was that romance had never been an issue for her before, and yet here she was, face glowing a faint pink from thinking that for the briefest of moments Anubus might have been going to kiss her. It was completely and utterly ridiculous and she knew it, yet it was also sort of...fun, like the kind of fun that she didn’t want to put an end to.
Sadly the teacher had different plans and Felicity wasn’t about to miss school for anything, not even for a cute boy. So after that, it was time to put her focus back onto her classes, which she did as well. Diving into whatever classes she had for the day up until lunch came around and the chance to see Anubus again arose.
It wasn’t a big deal if he didn’t actually come and sit with her, but even so, Felicity found herself keeping an eye out for the son of Zeus as she say down at one of the cafeteria tables, a salad sitting in a bowl in front of her. If you could even call it lettuce anyways, it was more like ranch with some lettuce thrown in at this point, but Felicity would argue that it was a salad no matter what. She may have just...poured a little too much ranch on it. Though then again, Felicity would argue that there was no such thing as too much ranch, even if no one else agreed with her on that.

Florian Rainer Fitzherbert Son of Rapunzel & Eugene
Well gosh, Selene sure did look pretty today, even if they were just going swimming, the dwarf girl looked as pretty as she always did. Fitz was tempted to tell her as much as well, however he still wasn’t actually sure if this was a date or not, so saying something like “Selene, you’re the most beautiful person I’ve ever known” might be a little much, or very likely taken the wrong way and Fitz did not want to mess this up if he could help it. Course, he was kind of good at messing stuff up anyways, but this time he was going to try really hard not to.
After all, he was the son of Eugene Fitzherbert, better known as Flynn Rider, and his father was probably the coolest man that Fitz knew. He had to have a little bit of that in him somewhere, right? He had to be just as cool as his father, right? No, probably not, but maybe he could at least pretend to be somewhat cool and suave like his father was. So Fitz did not gush about how pretty Selene looked to Selene. That would’ve probably been weird. However it only seemed appropriate he said something, right? ”You look nice,” Fitz told her quickly. Hopefully “nice” could be taken as a friend saying it or a date since Fitz still wasn’t completely sure what this actually was.
However that answer didn’t take long to get after all. Pretty much as soon as they had made it to the lake, Selene made it quite clear that this was in fact, not a date like Fitz had originally thought. This was just an outing between two friends because swimming alone was never a good idea. Fitz let out a small, quiet chuckle to himself, reaching a hand up to scratch the back of his head. Well, that was just a little disappointing...expected, but still maybe a little disappointing. That was okay though, he wasn’t going to get too upset about it. After all, Selene was still his friend and that was pretty good as well. ”Yeah, friends...” Fitz agreed quietly, shaking it off as he looked back to the lake.
Well, no use getting all mopey about it now, after all, tonight would still be fun and it was actually a little bit of a relief to have it officially cleared up that this was not a date. Took some of the pressure off, yeah. So with a smile Fitz ran forward and jumped into the lake like a large cannonball, sending water everywhere from the impact of his splash.
