Adrian Benjamin Amable Blaise Arthur Bete son of Beauty and the Beast Adrian knew he shouldn't be amused at the question, it implied his father and the king of Auradon was afraid of something. However, here he was amused. Perhaps it was due to the fact Stella was so blunt with the question as though there was absolutely no fear of saying. She hadn't even said it to someone bound to agree but instead said it to the said king's son. The absolute gall of it was nice.
"According to my father, magic was retired so the next generation would find their own talents. There would be no need to rely on magic, and it would just vanish from society," Adrian responded trying not to grin in response. Though the prince could absolutely see the option presented. King Adam Bete, better known as King Beast, was afraid of magic due to almost being cursed infinitely by the Enchantress. Adrian hadn't considered that as a double reason behind the ban of magic. It wasn't as though he could or would be willing to admit that in front of Stella.
"A circle," Adrian responded blandly still, trying to forget about his revelation. Though it wasn't wrong, as Adrian started with a circle for whatever he was to draw. As Stella went on to request something, he looked up at her in a mix of curiosity and wonder. He tried to ignore his arms being shook up and down as he responded.
"Unfortunately for you, even if I were willing to draw a request, I am not aware what either a warnicorn or spagittum frog or a buff frog look like." It was no doubt some of the interesting and strange creatures found on Mewni. Did not change the fact he was unsure what they looked like.

Montez Rivera Tragoudó son of miguel and calliope
Despite the order to be put down, Montez never put Toby down.
He ran down the hall with the fox boy over his shoulder, not stopping even once. Unless Toby's curse could be transferred by touch, there wouldn't be anything to stop or slow them down now. The demigod, though, was only so strong. He was able to hold Toby up, but the extra weight added on to one side of his body had slowed him down enough for it to be noticeable. Though, not to be rude to his friend, this was still getting them to their destination faster than they had been going earlier. It wasn't Toby's fault that he was so accident prone, but they couldn't afford to be stopped because of a fall or something anymore. They had been set back for too long.
He was huffing and puffing by the time they made it to Darcy.
Montez stood there for a moment to catch his breath, Toby still slung over his shoulder like, as Darcy had put it, a sack of potatoes. After a minute of regaining some air he maneuvered in a way to get Toby down, putting the son of Todd and Vixie back on the floor. Even while still being a little out of breath he couldn't help but give a few chuckles of his own, Darcy's laugh always quite contagious. "You're my favorite sack of potatoes," he teased as he shot a playful look at the guy that he had just had over his shoulder. "And at least we made it back in one piece. I like you better as a sack of potatoes than you having a painting around your neck like some collar, Zorro." If they hadn't been in such a hurry the whole situation would have been hilarious. Now that they weren't running away from anything anymore Montez could take a moment to appreciate just how amusing that whole scenario had been.
Brown eyes alight with laughter found Darcy. "You should have seen it, Pato, his head was just sticking out of this painting like a gopher coming out of the ground! Or a little fox peeking out from its burrow," he teased, turning to glance back at Toby. Never would he tease the boy maliciously, no, this was all for the laughs and the fun of it, not meant to be taken as a way to hurt the other boy's feelings. Montez would never purposefully hurt any one of his friend's feelings.

Aubriana Dammerüng daughter of aurora and phillip
It was pretty obvious to see that the ban didn't make sense to the guy, either. He was doing magic after all. Of course, she didn't say anything about that. There was no need to, and even if she did speak up it would make her sound like the princess she was; she was worried that speaking her mind in this situation would leave her sounding like some snobbish know-it-all. Ana for sure wasn't that. It was one of the few negative things like that blonde knew she wasn't. Anything else and she would agree that she was just that.
These thoughts were pushed to the side when the sandy colored cat spoke once more. Ana blinked, able to meet the feline's gaze. Already she felt much more comfortable paying attention to the magical creature. Animals had always been easier to talk to, easier to meet gazes with. Sadly she didn't have the ability to bring little woodland creatures to her just by singing or anything of that sorts. Ana just wasn't that lucky. She would give a lot to have that ability, to be able to just go outside and have animals flock her. She had many a daydream about that happening, about calling forth a little herd of deer and just being accepted as one of their own. No, she didn't want to live with a deer herd. She wanted to live in a little penguin colony. That's what she wanted. But that would never happen just like how living with a deer herd would never happen. Life was cruel, wasn't it? She might have stood a chance at living her dream if she had been born as Snow White's daughter, but that wasn't the case. Instead she was the disgraceful daughter of Aurora and Phillip.
Come with them? To where? Ana blinked down at the little feline that was speaking to her. Murdock - she was starting to question if that was his actual name again, he surely had a better name than Murdock - probably wanted to get out of the library now. But once they left where would they go? She was sure he wouldn't take her back to his room or something, but she was also sure they would want to go somewhere more private than a simple room. A part of her wanted to ask the question, and she was sure the question could be seen in her eyes, but she held her tongue. If she asked she would probably say something stupid. Well, say something more stupid than usual for her.
Hearing the boy's groan made Ana flinch. She really shouldn't have come to the library. If she had just stayed in her dorm or something then this guy, whatever his name was, wouldn't have to be dealing with her right now. She sighed under her breath, taking a moment to gather herself. Well, if they wanted her to tag along to wherever they went then she supposed she just needed to go, right?
Finally, she found her voice, soft as usual. "O...okay," she stammered out. "I'll go, yeah... If...if that's okay, I mean," she paused, finally able to glance up at the cat's owner. Her blue gaze then went back to the cat. Even if she was easier to talk to than the guy Ana still found it hard. One wrong word and all of this would blow right up in her face. "I don't want to...to ruin anything. I've already wasted so much of your time." Her hands were starting to shake as her heart accelerated against her chest. She really needed to learn how to not get herself in situations where she was just a burr in somebody's side.

Stella Butterfly daughter of star and marco
The answer Adrian gave her caused the young girl to scrunch her nose up in disgust. Find their own talents? Let magic die? What sort of logic was that? That just didn't make any sense to her. Back home on Mewni magic was a part of every day life, at least for her and the Butterfly family. It was used for a wide assortment of things from cleaning rooms to fighting off corn-stealing rats. When she had been told that Auradon had a ban on magic she had been appalled. How could someone live without magic? Luckily she had one of the king's very own sons to talk to in hopes of him giving her some much needed answers.
Stella drew out a long sigh. Life without magic just sounded so boring. These poor Auradon kids. "That sounds so gross. How can you live without magic?!" She exclaimed as she rolled over onto her stomach, huffing. "What if somebody is looking to find their own talents, but their talent is magic? That's my talent!" Stella added. "I don't have the family wand, that's for Saros, but I can dip down to use my own magic. I'm just as good as my mom!" Or she at least liked to believe her magic was as amazing and powerful as Star's. She would be a bit upset if that weren't the case.
Her mind jumped to the topic of drawing when Adrian went on to answer one of her earlier questions. "Just a circle? You can make a lot with a circle." Because just a simple circle was boring. Something needed to be done with that shape to make it interesting. "I can show you what those all look like," Stella pointed out, looking Adrian in the eyes now that she had gotten up and had her hands clasped against his shoulders. A sly look entered her eyes. "I can show you what they look like with magic." Yeah, because doing magic in front of Auradon's prince was a good idea. At least Adrian didn't seem completely against the concept of magic.

Carmelo Dorian Rivera Son of Dante & Collette
Carmelo fidgeted with his phone for a minute, frowning as he played with the case. He should have brought his video camera, he had one, it wasn’t as amazing of one as he wanted - maybe he should buy himself a really nice one soon, the best one he could possibly buy - but it worked well enough. Typically Carmelo only used that one for the Nutter Puppers, or things like that. However, it may be time to start filming everything professionally. Or at least as professionally as a sixteen year old dog boy could do. One day, it would happen, and then imagine how many viewers and subscribers he could get.
While he got ready to film Berlin for awhile, Carmelo frowned at the mention of Bella. He hadn’t ever actually spoken to her one on one, though it was his intention to eventually get her or another Bête to sit down with him for his vlog. Every now and then he would have guest stars. Usually Montez, but he had been trying to branch out. Maybe that’s how he could extend an olive branch of friendship. They could steal some food together - that was always a great bonding exercise - and then he could invite her to guest star in a few videos, get to know her good side, and then prove to the rest of the world that Bella was a good person, she just needed someone to be nice to her first. Yeah, that sounded like a plan. He was gonna do it.
However, he said no more on this topic to Berlin. Much like most everyone else he had met, his dog companion didn’t seem all that keen on befriending the Auradonian princess. That was okay, he didn’t expect her to. Maybe he could at least get Montez in on this. If Carmelo believed in anyone to befriend the girl, it was it best buddy: Montez. They could platonically seduce her with churros. Yeah, that would work. No one could refuse a churro.
As Berlin took off into the emptied pool, Carmelo let out a cheer, beginning the video as he slowly walked around the pool to get the best possible angle he could as he filmed her. ”Lookin’ good Berlie!” He called out to her, though his entire attention was almost solely focused on the camera on his phone as he filmed the pretty dog girl move.

Darcy Dollie Duck Daughter of Donald & Daisy Duck
By the time Montez and Toby had found their way back to Darcy, a fair amount of the recently rescued detention students had already taken their leave. Some might still be staggering around, but at least for the most part, people had scattered, which was good, or at least much less suspicious than a large group of people hanging out close by the detention class room. This worked out for the best. So by the time Montez and Toby had showed up, Darcy was mostly alone and could put her focus on them.
She laughed a little more when Toby was placed down. He seemed a little embarrassed by it all, but even that was quickly cooling away. Toby couldn’t stay mad for long, Darcy knew that much about him. In fact he never truly actually got mad in the first place, not at other people. He was chill like that. ”If it makes you feel any better, Toby, you’re the best sack of potatoes I’ve ever seen,” she told him and struck out the nearly empty bag of bread to him, giving it a little shake. ”Bread?”
Toby - who seemed to have fully cooled off by now - smiled slightly, taking a slice of bread for himself. ”Thanks. I guess the important thing here is that we did get away without being caught. Even if there were a few problems on the way...” He said, ripping the bread in half to eat it piece by piece.
Yeah, poor Toby. That guy should really look into the whole curse thing, even if he didn’t believe it, after everything Darcy had seen him put up with, there was no way he wasn’t somehow cursed. King Beast - or Adam Bête sr. But whatever - could look Darcy right in the eyes and tell her that Toby wasn’t actually cursed and she still wouldn’t believe him. At least Toby never seemed to get too hurt by it all, the curse was somewhat compassionate. Either that or it just needed to keep Toby alive to torture him more.
With a shake of her head, Darcy turned her focus back to Montez, offering him some bread as well. ”So, it sounds like you two had an eventful time getting away, huh? My time wasn’t near as fun,” she explained and let out a small curse. ”Maybe I should’ve switched you,” she joked, grinning at her dudefriend.
Then, another thought came to her and she paused. ”Oh, speaking of which, Saros was a no show at detention,” Darcy told him. ”I don’t know where that boy is but he wasn’t in detention,” she explained, shaking her head. ”Bright side, we still liberated a whole lot of people,” she added, pointing a finger back towards any stragglers that had stuck around for any longer than the rest had.

Blaise Bastian Antoine Augustin Bête Son of Beast & Belle
Blaise watched Matthias for a minute, shaking his head slightly. He had never minded the company of his younger roommate, he was sweet, if not perhaps a little fidgety. Poor boy always just seemed so...well, not exactly tense, but a little tense. That was the only way he could find to describe it. At least he seemed to have relaxed for now, it was endearing in a way. He could hold off on reading for this. Besides, this was still avoiding everyone else in the real world and that was really what Blaise had been aiming for here.
When asked about his favorite color, the prince paused, tilting his head to the side as he thought about the question. A part of him felt as if he should say yellow, considering that was the family color and all that. Yellow, or perhaps a royal looking red or blue. But if Blaise was being completely honest, none of those colors seemed all that appealing to him. Maybe they would to someone else, and that was fine. But as far as colors went, Blaise just couldn’t seem to settle on any of those for his favorite. So, with a small shrug, he looked back to Matthias.
”I don’t actually know,” he admitted openly. ”I would say yellow since that is the family color and all, but...I think my favorite color might actually be something else. Maybe orange. I’ve always liked peach orange or even well, orange the fruit orange,” he admitted, now that he thought about it. Yes, that would be it. Orange was his favorite color now. Specifically peach pink-orange. Well that was one mystery solved at the very least. Now that thoughts on his own favorite color had passed, Blaise looked back to Matthias, offering hm a polite smile. ”What about you, what’s your favorite color?” he asked with another tilt of his head as he looked the merman boy over with a curious glint in his eyes.

Kingston Connelly Arendelle-Bjorgman Son of Kristoff and Anna
Now that school was out for the day, all Kingston had to do was wait for the Mewni transfer to arrive at their designated meeting spot. Kingston had met the boy once before, he was...interesting, unlike anyone Kingston had met, that was for sure. He was even cute in a sort of, odd way. He was handsome at the very least. Even with his...unnatural appearance. He had only spoken to him once, but once was enough for Kingston to decide that he should get to know the odd boy some more. Which might’ve been why he was currently waiting for Hecate to arrive so they could talk some more.
In his hands, Kingston had a small notebook full of random facts, references to check out, and complete will doodles tracing along the edges of the notebook. These doodles ranged from flowers to random designs, to tiny bunny comic things. In fact, for the most part, the doodles actually covered the majority of the notebook. Kingston’s eyes trailed along the words etched into the notebook, tapping his fingers repeatedly on the back of the notebook. Hecate wanted to learn more about Auradon, and the job of teaching him fell upon Kingston’s shoulders.
It was a little intimidating, what if he messed up and didn’t do the wonderful country justice? But Kingston could handle all of this, it would be alright. Besides, he was a friendly guy, even if he did mess up on actual information, this should still be fun, if anything else. That’s what Kingston was going for here. A good, fun outing with a transfer from a whole other dimension that was kinda cute even for being a little odd but that was not the point here. ”Focus, Kingston,” he whispered to himself, flipping through the notebook again before he looked up, a thoughtful, thin frown on his face. Hecate wasn’t here yet, he wasn’t going to ditch without telling Kingston, was he? How long was Kingston supposed to wait for him?

Merlion Hugo Sumnar Son of Merlin & Witch Hazel
As soon as Ana agreed to come along, Merlion turned on the heels of his feet and started off, gesturing quickly with his hand for Ana to follow him though he said nothing to her. Cleo had been the one to invite her along, Cleo could be the one that did the talking. Instead, Merlion kept his hands stuffed into his pockets as he walked through the school hallways, slouching forward a little even as he walked. This was the last thing he wanted, to have a prissy little princess following him and Cleo around, getting involved in his business like they could just waltz in here and take over. It bothered him, but at least for now, it was their only option. This wasn’t Camelot anymore. This was Auradon City, and people here weren’t quite as accepting of magic as they were back home.
Soon enough, they had left the school building altogether, and instead Merlion began to lead cat and princess away from the school entirely. ”It’s not too long of a walk, but you should probably pick up the pace anyways. There’s no time for lagging behind,” he called back to Ana before he continued on, once again quiet. The scenery had begun to change already as they walked. Merlion didn’t look back as he entered a more forest like area outside of the school grounds. Trees began to look above them as if blocking out the sky, and the ground became harder to follow as a set path disappeared.
Once under the safety and security of the trees, Cleo also began to change, growing in size until she was no longer a small house cat, but rather a large, lean, lioness. She made no comment on the changes, instead she looked to Ana as she padded after Merlion. ”This all might seem a little strange to you, but don’t worry, it’ll all make sense soon,” Cleo explained, tilted her head to the side for a second. ”I don’t think I’ve seen you around much. You’re the Dammerüng girl, aren’t you? Merlion and I made sure to recognize most of the people in the school when we came,” Cleo explained, shooting a glance back to Merlion, who let out a small, gruff noise in confirmation. ”Though we don’t know much about anyone here,” she admitted, happy to make conversation as they walked.
Merlion blocked out the conversation between his familiar and the girl for the most part. After all, he didn’t exactly want to be involved in idle chit chat. Luckily, soon enough they had arrived at their location. A rock wall. To anyone else, that was all it would look like, but Merlion could fix that. Quickly, he whipped out a wand from a pocket and muttered something under his breath as the rocks began to move to the side until their was an empty space in the wall to make a doorway. Merlion shot a glance back to Cleo and Ana, gesturing for them to come inside. ”Come on, we don’t have all day.”
With that he turned back around and entered inside, muttering out a few more things to illuminate the walls and ceiling. With the light in the cave, everything became much more visible and although there wasn’t much, there were a few shelves full of books, some decorations set up in random places, and a stack of pillows resting beside a small pool inside the cave. It wasn’t much, but he could work with this. This was the best he could do.

Montez Rivera Tragoudó son of miguel and calliope
”I may not be a sack of potatoes, but I'm a favorite of yours, too, right?” Asked the demigod with a rather innocent look on his visage. ”Because some bread sounds good right now.” One of the many privileges of being friends with Darcy included some hecking good snack foods, even if they were typically what a duck would find pleasing. Hey, Montez wasn't complaining. He wasn't a duck himself but he still enjoyed their snacks a lot. Nothing could compare to a churro, especially a homemade one, but bread, peeps, and fish crackers were all amazing snacks.
It wasn't long until Darcy, the queen of bread, had hear his desperate pleas for a slice of fluffy wheat and grain. He took the bread happily, chewing off the crust first. Montez had found that eating the least fun part of the bread first left the fun part for last. He ate on his piece of bread as his two friends conversed, stopping only when his galpal partner in crime brought up the fact that both him and Toby’s getaway had been quite eventful.
Finishing up his bread, Montez nodded as he placed his full attention on Darcy. ”Yeah, you really should have been there.” An amused glint twinkled in his brown eyes. ”You should have seen Toby’s full performance! He almost had me convinced that he really did break his ankle.” The teen leaned over a bit to playfully nudge at Toby. ”Mr. Bruno was real worried, too. Felt bad that we tricked him of all people, but we had to do what needed to be done.” He shrugged. His last comment made him realize that something was up and he paused for a moment when what was wrong clicked into place. ”Hey, where's Sar-” Darcy beat him to it before he could finish his question.
Leave it to Saros to be a no-show. The thought was rather amusing to the demigod. ”Él es astuto,” Montez murmured under his breath. That Mewni princess sure was sly, wasn’t he? It was rather amusing to think about, how they had initially gone out to rescue their fellow Battleshipper, yet in the end he had been safe all along. If anything, as Darcy had said, they had saved a lot of others from the wrath of detention. ”Saros or not, we did good,” he chimed, proud of what they had done regardless of Saros being there or not. ”How about another slice of bread for our victory?” Because victory bread was the best kind of bread.

Aubriana Dammerüng daughter of aurora and phillip
Magic was something she didn't know a lot about. Which wasn't all that surprising considering she lived in Auradon and didn't actually have magical parents even though they had magical friends and enemies. Of course she would have been born into a non-magical family who was surrounded by magic users. Life was just so fair, wasn't it? Then again, even if she had been born into a magical family she more than likely wouldn't have known much about it, and not only because of the ban, but just because she was rather dumb. There was no sugar coating it there - Ana was dumb. The only thing she was smart bout was the topic of penguins and the cold. But especially penguins. Like how the first published account of a penguin was in the 1520s and were referred to as “strange geese”. Or that Gentoo penguins are the fastest of penguin breeds. Yeah, she knew a lot about penguins. They were her thing. If she could one day get a pet penguin then she would actually feel happy for once. Better yet, if she turned into a penguin. That would be pure bliss for her. Would probably cure her depression, too. She was practically already one, anyway. She loved the cold and loved fish, especially sushi. She was meant to be a water bird.
The blonde princess wasn't even paying attention to what was around her thanks to her penguin-filled daydream. She had been so caught up in these thoughts that she almost missed what “Murdock” had to say to her. Oh, yeah, she probably should walk a bit faster, shouldn't she? Man, she sure was good at annoying the blue haired boy. Eh, nothing new there. She was a master of being annoying.
Ana remained silent as she followed the boy into the woods. She looked around, sweeping her icy blue gaze to look at the thick underbrush and high canopy. There was a slight breeze to the air, stirring the leaves and the wilderness all around. It would have been peaceful if Ana was not currently annoying a boy and his lion.
Wait.
What?
Ana was a lot of things, and dumb was one of them, but she was more than certain that there had been a cat with them, not some lean lioness. And the weird thing? She wasn't even frightened. In fact she was entranced by the beauty of the big cat, the way every muscle and sinew seemed to flow so smoothly underneath that gilded tawny pelt. The way she held herself with the pride of a true lion. She was sure of herself, confident. It was something Ana would never be and maybe that was why she was so attracted to the feline.
She was still reflecting on this change when the familiar began to speak. The princess’s blue eyes trained on the lion. Oh. So Merlion was his name, not Murdock. Well, she had gotten the ‘M’ right at least. ”Yeah...yeah, I am,” she confirmed with a nod of her head. ”I’m Ana.” Like it actually mattered or something. Nobody cared about what her name was. Nobody even really cared about her in general as far as she knew. It was actually a bit odd to be speaking her name aloud, telling it to somebody. And not just to somebody, but to some magical familiar. It was probably an amazing experience to have a familiar, to be bonded with a creature that knew you better than you even knew yourself. No. She didn’t deserve a familiar. She had to get her head out of the clouds, had to stop thinking about things such as that. If she had a familiar the poor thing would just suffer in a bond with her.
These thoughts came to a halt when Merlion brought them to a rock wall. A rock wall. Was this...where they were supposed to be?
Ana blinked, looking up at the boy curiously, her head tilted just a tad. Even she remained silent as Merlion drew a wand and spoke something under his breath. This apparently allowed the wall to move, Ana now watching wide-eyed as the rocks crumbled and shuddered, pulling away from one another to create an entrance way to a cavern. This piqued the blonde’s interest more than it worried or scared her. Without needed to be told twice she followed her companion into the cave, blue eyes taking it all in with awe. This place was simply amazing to the princess, something purely inspiring.

Hecate Lucitor son of tom and hekapoo
So he may or may not be running late right now.
Ya see, what happened was that Auradon was a cruel place and was out to get him. He had been minding his own business when this creature floated into the sky and ruined his entire day. The creature had looked relatively harmless save for the dagger that it carried with it, but this was Auradon, what kind of creature would be deadly here? Yeah, his mother and father had told him Earth would have things like wolves and tigers and sharks and ladybugs but he was the prince of Mewni Hell, why should he have to worry about anything? If he could survive his home dimension without so much as a sweat, and he was practically a walking torch so being hot was not unusual, then Auradon would be a piece of cake.
Or so he had thought.
Everything had been fine until that creature appeared in his life.
Hecate found himself enjoying this dimension. He hated the ban on magic as he was practically made of magic himself, but he was getting along without magic...sorta. Okay, yeah, he used it as much as he discreetly could. It was a hard thing to just stop considering he had been using magic freely since he had fought his way out of the womb. He had probably been shooting fireballs and creating storms of flame the moment he escaped the womb of his mother, had probably been practicing his skills even as a fetus. He liked to imagine that he shot lasers out of his eyes or something the moment he had opened all three of them. That would be cool. He also liked to imagine that his first attempt at magic had been him summoning some kind of dragon out of thin air. Nobody tell him that he had never done that and that his first attempt at magic had been a mistake on his little baby self’s behalf. Baby Hecate had magically set his dad on fire as a first accidental attempt. Which, given who his father was, it didn't do anything. Long story short the guy couldn't just give up magic cold turkey.
Okay, but back to that treacherous creature and the reason why he was running late.
There he had been, minding his own business when he had noticed the little yellow and black animal. Hecate had felt like Saros had told him about such an animal, but he couldn't quite remember the name. Was it a hummingbird? Saros had said those things were small, right? So of course he had wanted to befriend the little ‘hummingbird’. The demon boy had reached out to try and pet it, but as soon as he moved his arm in its direction the beast had turned around, exposed its dagger-butt, and straight up attacked him. Attacked him. And it had stung! So he had done the only appropriate thing, snapped his fingers, summoned a flame, and burned the animal into ashes. He had gotten some sort of sickly satisfaction at that until he remembered he had promised to meet up with Kingston - a human boy who was rather friendly and interesting - like, right then. So he had left the pile of ‘hummingbird’ ash on its own as he started sprinting toward their chosen meeting spot.
The sting on his hand continued to bother him as he ran forward, not stopping until he almost literally ran into the boy he was meeting up with. A toothy grin spread across the Mewni boy’s face. And because he had just been running his already wild hair was somewhat more tousled. He ran a hand through it, trying to pull off some cool, nonchalant pose as he looked at Kingston. ”Sorry about being late, I was fending off a monster.” He winked, which was probably an odd experience for anybody seeing as he had three eyes. ”I only got one battle scar.” He stretched his hand out to show his new friend the sting and how it was red and angry looking against his purple tinted skin. It still hurt, but he could handle it if it meant getting to look cool around the Earth boy. ”So yeah, you don't have to worry about that hummingbird anymore.”

The pink little piglet girl changed out the yellow hair tie for one of her new ones. Then she tossed the others into her drawer, filling it once more with the black little cords. She hummed happily and skipped over to her dresser, pulling out her swimsuit, which was of course a pink bikini. She tied the black strap around her back and neck before tugging on the solid pink bottoms. She hummed softly and slipped on a pair of shorts and a tank top over her swimsuit. She was comfortable in it in front of Teddy, but not the whole school. It was one thing when she was swimming in class, because then they had a mandated swimsuit, but recreationally? She didn’t like to show this much skin. Teddy was different. Teddy was her very best friend.
She of course showed up after Teddy at their designated swimming spot. She skipped over to him and grinned. “Ready?” She walked over to a shady spot and dropped her towel and his, bringing one for him, since he always forgot one when they went swimming. She pulled off her tank top and kicked her sandals off as she unbuttoned her denim shorts and dropped them into her messy pile on the ground as well. Pandora turned and grinned at Theodore. “Ready Teddy? Let’s get wet!” She giggled and raced for the water, going straight in instead of adjusting to the temperature first.

Selene Sapphire Dwarf Daughter of Sneezy
Selene was setting her phone down when it dinged and then dinged again, and again, and again. The girl couldn’t help but giggle as Florian texted her four times in a row. It was cute. She pulled up her keyboard and texted him back four texts in return instead of doing just one big one. No, they hadn’t picked a time. Yes, they were going swimming. He should come over to her dormitory, so they could walk together. And that he was definitely not annoying. She set her phone down and hopped up from her vanity.
The room was clean now, but she was definitely not ready. She hurried over to her dresser and sifted through her several swimsuits and decided on her burgundy bikini. It was a little snug in the chest area, but that was kinda the reason she picked it. This was very much a date and she had to impress him. Changing into the swimsuit quickly the girl dug out one of those lace swimsuit cover ups. It was entirely see through but made it, so she wasn’t just walking around in a bikini.
Letting out a shaky sigh she pulled on her flat Lasennia sandals that went up about mid-calf. She realized she still hadn’t done much with her hair, so she brushed it out and let it fall over her shoulders, a beautiful dark color. She ran her fingers through her glossy hair nervously waiting for him to knock on her dorm.

Anubus Olympia Son of Zeus and Aphrodite
Anubus grinned and played with her soft hair a little as she spoke, his eyes never leaving her’s. He nodded and shifted forward a little. “Of course, I want you beside me Fel.” He fluffed her hair a little. And began braiding a few strands of it. His dark eyes shimmered in amusement. “I hear its pizza day in the cafeteria. What’s your favorite kind of pizza?” He asked. It was one of the few mortal things he enjoyed. Pizza. Even most mortals enjoyed pizza. Especially this immortal. He could eat until he exploded and that just wouldn’t be enough pizza.
“Mine is mushroom pepperoni. I could eat that all day every day. I seriously love mushrooms. I think they are my favorite thing. Like seriously.” He shrugged in surprise. Anubus had expected to hate everything about being in the mortal world, but instead he loved everything about it. Well not everything, especially not school. School was the worst. Seriously what was the point of calculus? Or history? He would be alive for like ever and learning about all the centuries before his birth seemed honestly really pointless. Anubus looked over the pretty girl in front of him. She was his favorite, but he probably would never admit that out loud.

Georgina "GiGi" Garnet Dwarf Daughter of Grumpy
Georgina has of course expected her friend to be late. She was almost always late. So she’d attempted to wipe the make up off her face while she waited. If she could prevent looking like a hot mess she would prefer it. How come her boyfriend wouldn’t barely hold her hand, but would hang out with his friends? Honestly, he touched those boys more than he touched her. It was almost like he didn’t want to be her boyfriend. Oh no. What if he was going to break up with her? Is that why he was acting like this?
Georgina was spiraling, and she needed her friend, or really any distraction. Looking at her nightstand her hand trembled with need, this itch she just couldn’t scratch. Walking over she hesitated and then opened the drawer slowly, looking at the dagger in its little box, with its ribbon so tightly tied. She opened the glass box and pulled it out, holding it to her wrist, like she had so many times before.
Georgina let out a shaky breath and began to press down with the dagger. No one would ever want her. No one. Not even her father wanted her around. She was a nuisance in his eyes. And now she was a nuisance in her boyfriend’s eyes as well. The girl sliced deeply, deeper than she’d meant to, and cursed, doing nothing to stop the blood. This pain distracted her from spiraling farther into her own mind.
It wasn’t much better than the dark places she often went, and this release had become an addiction. The scars on her thighs were proof of that. GiGi was good at covering them up. The knock on her door startled her and she quickly slipped into her bathroom and washed off the dagger and her wrist before wrapping it up and tugging her long sleeve down over it. She wiped the blood from her wooden floor, then slipped the dagger into its box and shutting the drawer before walking over to the door and opening it. “Come on in.” She gestured for her friend to come in.

Bethany "Bettie" Benitoite Dwarf Daughter of Bashful
Bethany looked up at her girlfriend happily as they sat in the shade of the large trees. She often sat like this, her head nestled into the other girl’s shoulder, their bodies close together. More nights than not they slept together in the same bed. Sometimes Bettie’s sometimes Ellie’s. Their roommate was pretty chill about it because all they did was sleep. The girls would never do anything with their roommate home and even when she wasn’t the farthest they’d ever gone was a bit of chest groping and making out for several hours. All of which with their clothes on, though Ellie and Bettie had lost their shirts a few times, but not nearly often enough.
She closed her eyes and just enjoyed being held for a while. Eloise was the love of her life and even though they fought on occasion she never ever wanted to give her up. Bethany ended up opening her eyes a few minutes after shutting them though, because Ellie started talking. Sitting up a little she nodded and tilted her head.
“Sure, Ellie what is it?” Of course, the daughter of Bashful was curious. How could she not be? Her Ellie was nervous enough for the both of them, but that just made her nervous too. Bethany was very empathetic, so when someone else was feeling an intense emotion she often felt it too. Especially anger. The short girl had enough temper for three men. Her Dad told her that she reminded him of her Uncle Grumpy in that way. When Ellie and Bettie had gotten in their big fight, over Ellie forgetting their anniversary and skipping their date to practice magic of all things, she’d been angry for days. Her temper was a big problem for her. She’d been angrier than she should have honestly. But now wasn’t the time to remember that. Now was the time to focus on the pretty daughter of Elsa in front of her.

Eloise Arendelle daughter of elsa
This was it. She had been worked up over this for how long now? Probably a week. This was something she had been thinking about for a while so the decision wasn't rash. Ellie had put a lot of thought into this and had gone over it again and again in her head, trying to go over every possible scenario. The ones in which she messed everything up and had Bettie running away had been more than plenty, but she couldn't allow herself to think about that, not when she was just about to do this.
The daughter of Elsa took a deep breath. Alright, you can do this. This is everything you've ever wanted. Feel, don't conceal. This should be as easy as, well, as easy as it was to forget our date. That also wasn't a good thing to currently have in her mind, either. So she took yet another deep breath and finally, finally, looked her wonderful girlfriend in the eyes as she dug a small, velvet box out from her pocket.
A third deep breath. Slowly she opened the box to reveal a thin, silver ring with a benitoite gemstone. In the middle was a small snowflake carving. Ellie had worked hard to get the perfect ring, had to do a lot of looking around and talking to the right people. She had even used her own money, hadn't even thought to use any from her mother. All of this was from her. It had come from her own hard work.
She kept her gaze on Bettie, not daring to make one wrong look or move. ”This isn’t much,” she began slowly, voice shaking. ”You deserve the world and more, but I hope this can suffice for now.” As she went on her voice found strength, managed to keep a steady tone. ”I know we’re still young and a lot could happen before we’re old enough to make any set in stone decisions about us, but I already know I want to be with you forever. Or,” she added, a laugh coming to her words, ”for as long as you’ll put up with me.” Let’s face it, Ellie was a handful. Forgetful, air-headed...she was a lot of things. A lot of negative things where maybe two or three positive things existed. ”I’m a lot to deal with, but I hope you can see beyond that. I want this to be a representation of a promise from me, the promise that I’ll do everything that I can to be the best girlfriend ever, the promise to keep you happy.” By now the words were coming easily, smoothly running off her tongue, but as she continued she could feel her face flushing with warmth. With how pale her skin was she was sure she looked like a big tomato or something akin to that. ”I guess what I’m trying to say is that I want us to always be together. You and me both aren’t nowhere near ready to be married or anything, but I thought a promise ring would work. It isn’t too much, is it? And...and if you don’t like it, I can look for others or, or something,” she started stammering now that she had finished her little speech. Hopefully Bettie would love it. Ellie had worked hard for it, but if it wasn’t to her girlfriend’s liking then she was for sure going to get her one that she adored.

Felicity Callalily Fix-it Daughter of Fix it Felix & Sergeant Calhoun
Felicity smiled warmly at Anubus. He could be so...soft at times, Felicity couldn’t really explain it. There just seemed to be something about him at times that seemed so much softer than others. It had to be one of the main things she liked about him. She also couldn’t help but like it when he played with her hair, it was relaxing in a way. Oh Felicity, you need to get out before you’re in too deep.
Pushing that one thought aside, Felicity listened to Anubus as he explained his thoughts on pizza and mushrooms. A small laugh escaped the daughter of Fix it Felix and Sergeant Calhoun. ”I never took you for a mushrooms kind of guy,” she admitted, voice quiet yet playful. At most they’d only have a few more minutes to talk before class started, however Felicity would still rather keep her voice down now, just in case they did get in trouble for talking in class. ”I don’t eat a lot of pizza, personally,” Felicity continued with a small shrug. She had to watch her weight, and that meant typically skipping out on pizza. ”But when I do eat it, I’ve always just liked the normal cheese pizza. It’s really good, especially if you dip it into ranch,” she explained rather simply.
Maybe it was the boring option, as far as pizza went, but Felicity enjoyed it on occasion. Though she rarely allowed herself to actually eat pizza. Typically, Felicity more or less stuck to an extremely healthy diet, which sadly did not include pizza. Still though, it was nice to have on occasion. ”Have you ever tried dipping pizza in ranch before? I think it’s probably the best way to eat it.” Also the only way Felicity would eat pizza, it just didn’t seem worth it to her without that ranch.

Kingston Connelly Arendelle-Bjorgman Son of Kristoff and Anna
Well, Hecate still hadn’t arrived yet. That was a bad sign, wasn’t it? What if he got lost, or something happened to him? Maybe Kingston should go try to find him...wait, what if that wasn’t the problem at all? What if Hecate didn’t want to come hang out with Kingston? What if, during their last meeting, Kingston had done something wrong and scared the transfer off? ”Oh no, what if he was just being polite before and didn’t plan on showing up now at all?” Kingston asked out loud, eyes wide as he thought about it.
From there, his thoughts only continued to spiral. What if he had messed up so bad that Hecate didn’t even want to stay on Auradon anymore, so he and the other Mewni transfers go home and the entire dimension of Mewni rages war upon Auradon, all because of Kingston?
A small, barely audible screech left the man. The king would be so mad, he’d probably throw Kingston on the next boat for the Isle right away, and then that would be it for him. He’d been an Isle kid like that one girl, the daughter of Mulan. Mai, or Lonny or something like that. Then, once Kingston got to the Isle, surely all those dangerous villains would track him down and kill him. He would die on the Isle, considered a traitor to his country, while Auradon was trapped in a ten year war with Mewni, only to eventually be annihilated by the superior, magic based world.
All because of Kingston.
That was a lot of pressure for any one man to deal with. Maybe Kingston shouldn’t have offered to do this.
Then, just like that, Hecate appeared and Kingston’s worries very slowly began to fade away. Maybe, just maybe, he hadn’t totally blown it - and the entire fate of the world - just yet. As the odd looking man approached, Kingston offered him a smile, unable to hide the relief he felt at the sight of the Mewni prince of hell. ”Oh, that’s fine, are you okay?” Kingston questioned, looking over at Hecate’s finger for a minute, his brow furrowing together in confusion.
A hummingbird did that? That couldn’t be right, hummingbirds were just innocent, friendly birds. Besides, even if they did want to fight someone such as Hecate, surely they couldn’t have done that, a hummingbird’s attack would have been different. In fact, that looked more like a wasp’s sting, if anything else. ”Are you sure it was a hummingbird? Little feathery birds with wings and a little beak?” Kingston asked, looking up from the sting to Hecate, a curious, perhaps even slightly concerned look crossing upon his visage.
It was possible that Hecate needed a lot more help understanding Auradon and how everything worked...Or even what everything was.

Theodore Kasper Tiger Son of Tigger and Kanga
Now, usually, Teddy was the one ready to jump into just about anything, typically throwing caution to the whim. However he was pretty sure tigers and kangaroos didn’t naturally belong in the water, or at least, Teddy didn’t. It was fine, he just was a tad bit more hesitant around water than he would’ve been if they had been doing something else, like rock climbing or skydiving, or anything like that. If it was anything else, anything unrelated to the water, Teddy would have been the first to try it out, no caution needed.
However this was a little different, and unlike his small, pink haired friend, Teddy was a little more wary of the water at first. He knelt down, leaning forward a little to stare at the water, head tilted to the side just slightly as he watched it move around. Well, it seemed safe enough, he would probably be alright. The chances of drowning were very few, right? Teddy sure hoped so.
So, baking up, the bouncing boy got ready as he took a few steps back and dug his feet into the ground. Teddy waited for a second longer, a determined look spreading across his face, and then, with a spring in his steps, he launched himself forward and bounced right off the edge. ”Cannonball!” He shouted, voice filled with glee as he hit the water, causing large splashes to erupt from the water he had hit. Teddy swam back up to the surface, throwing his head back just enough for his wet, ginger hair to flip back and out of his face. Teddy glanced back down at the water, as if to double check that he was alright, before he swam over to join Pandora, grinning at the daughter of Piglet. ”That was fun, wasn’t it?” He asked happily, splashing at his friend.

Winona Bunny Rabbiton Daughter of The White Rabbit & Rea
As soon as she was let in, Winona reached out to hug her dwarf friend, neither of the two of them were very tall, but despite this Winona still managed to be taller than GiGi, it was kind of nice though, to be able to wrap her slightly chubby arms around her friend and pull her close, for once in her life being the taller of the two. Besides, as much as Winona knew she couldn’t and never would admit this out loud, she always came back from a GiGi hug feeling all warm and squishy inside. Winona knew it was hopeless, and she would never do anything to harm their friendship, but she had liked GiGi for years now, and had been there to watch as GiGi went after different guys. It was hard, but Winona was alright with this. GiGi was first and foremost her friend, her best friend, and her happiness came first. Winona would never do anything to mess that up.
Pulling away from the hug, Winona offered GiGi a smile, though her face still had splotches of paint covering it. ”Hi GiGi, sorry I’m late. I was painting and I guess I just lost track of time and then Twizzler was by my watch and I saw the time and I promise I rushed right over,” Winona rambled in her soft, quiet voice as she walked further into the dormitory room, rubbing at her cheek in an effort to scrub off the dried paint. However, her efforts were made in vain and she soon gave up on the matter, instead turning back to look at the daughter of Grumpy.
Winona tilted her head to the side a little, looking GiGi over. She seemed a little off, which of course was why Winona was here. Maybe she could find a way to cheer up her friend after listening to her talk about whatever she needed to talk about. Usually it was related to Blaise, and Winona had a feeling that was what the topic would be about today. Blaise needed to wake up and realize what he had instead of ignoring GiGi so often. Very rarely did anything truly grate on Winona’s nerves, but this did, though she would bite her tongue for GiGi. ”Are you alright, GiGi? You weren’t at gym and I was worried something happened...” Winona admitted, looking her friend over with wide, concerned, soft, red eyes.

Florian Rainer Fitzherbert Son of Rapunzel & Eugene
Fitz still had his face pressed up against the pillow, clutching it close to his body when his phone buzzed four times in a row. Almost instantly the boy shot his head up from the pillow, hair slightly ruffled by it as he looked at his phone. For a second there, it seemed to loom over him despite being so small. This was it, the moment of truth. Now he had to deal with however Selene answered him. She probably wanted to call the whole thing off. However, he pushed all those thoughts back down as he reached a hand for the phone and picked it up, quickly pulling it back to his person to check the messages.
Alright, everything seemed okay. Or at least, Selene wasn’t calling it off and apparently he was not being annoying, that was good to know. Fitz was doing okay. Though he was still fairly certain this couldn’t really be a date-date. Fitz didn’t get date-dates with amazing girls like Selene. Still though, he could enjoy his time with her and it would be fun. So, with a small nod as if to reassure himself of that, Fitz scrambled into a sitting position on his bed as he sent a text back, telling Selene that he would be there in about ten or so minutes to walk with her.
Now with that taken care of, Fitz placed his phone back into his pocket and clumsily got off his bed. He’d be lying if he said he didn’t fall off the bed and end up on the floor for a good minute or so, but that wasn’t the point here.
Scrambling to his feet, Fitz began to mumble things under his breath as he got some things ready to go swimming with Selene, and once he had it all prepared he shoved it into a bag and headed out. This would be nice. He hadn’t actually spent that much one on one time with the incredible dwarf girl before, and even if this didn’t turn out to be one on one time, it would still be nice to get to know her a little more.
It didn’t take him long to get to her room, and as soon as he got there, he took a breath, looked at he door for a good moment or so, and then knocked loudly. Here’s hoping tonight went well.

Merlion Hugo Sumnar Son of Merlin & Witch Hazel
As if something shifted inside him, as soon as they had all entered the cave, something in Merlion sparked and a genuine smile spread across is face as he turned on his heels to face Ana, arms extended outward to welcome the girl to his cave. She might be a princes, and Merlion would rather not have to deal with anyone like this at all, but there was something about his cave and the knowledge that he could use magic as freely as he wanted to so long as he was within these walls that had a way of cheering Merlion up no matter how bad of a mood he was in.
”Welcome, to what I like to call, The Cave of Magic!” Merlion shook his hands around excitedly for a little bit of flare. Merlion stared over at Ana for a moment or so longer, as of waiting for a reaction from her before he eventually just shrugged, turned away, and once again seemed to become the typical grouch that he was. ”I use magic here,” he explained a little better, mumbling under his breath as he walked further into the cavern.
Meanwhile, Cleo had padded over towards a small pile of pamphlets on the floor, and after a moment she picked one up in her mouth and walked back over towards Ana, holding it out for the girl to take. ”Here, thish should help,” the lioness reassured her, trying to convince Ana to take the pamphlet from her again. On the pamphlet, in big letters, stood the words “So you caught an idiot using magic” and accompanying the title, directly under all of the words, was a picture of Merlion with his wand out.
Merlion looked over, frowning. ”Ugh Cleo, no, not the the pamphlets!” He complained, rushing over to snatch it from her before Ana was able to. Then, holding it up for both Ana and Cleo to see, he pointed a finger at it. ”This-“ he jabbed his finger at the pamphlet again. ”This is garbage and we don’t need it,” he added, crumpling it up before he threw it down onto the floor, turning away.
Cleo let out an annoyed huff at that. ”That pamphlet explains our situation better than you could, it’s easier to just hand her that,” She argued, sitting down with her paws tucked neatly together.
Rolling his eyes, Merlion turned back to Cleo. ”I can explain it all just fine,” he told his familiar, instantly looking back to Ana. ”I’m Merlion, I’m a wizard and I illegally teach magic, that’s Cleo, my familiar, she’s a lion. If you tell anyone any of this, I’ll make you regret it, got it?” Merlion asked, giving Ana a look as if daring her to question him. Then, calming down for a second, he shot a look back to Cleo. ”How was that?”
Cleo shrugged, flicking her tail against the dirtied cavern floor. ”I still think the pamphlet would have been better,” she informed him plainly.

Aubriana Dammerüng daughter of aurora and phillip
She was awestruck to put it simply. She fluttered her gaze around the cave just trying to take it all in, but there was so much to absorb. Ana couldn't even pay full attention to Merlion right now even though she probably should. He was probably saying something really important, probably talking about how to get here or how to learn magic or something. Luckily for her he was just saying what he called the place, but Ana didn't know that. For all she knew she was missing out on something very important, missing out on some crucial information, but this cave was just amazing. A cave full of magic… How amazing was that?
After a few minutes of looking around - she still couldn't quite grasp everything - Ana tuned back in to Merlion. ”This place is amazing,” she breathed. Maybe to some it was just a simple cave that opened up to a cavern that held a bookshelf here and there and some pillows to sit on, but to Ana this was like some sort of adventure. She was diving into a world she knew little to nothing about. The only thing she knew about magic was what she had heard from her parents and from whatever King Beast had to say about it. She had only heard that it was bad and evil, only those with blackened, shriveled hearts used it. Once or twice she may have heard some good things about magic whispered in the hallways of Auradon Prep, but that was about it. Of course her curiosity over magic had occurred because of its ban and what she had heard about it, and finally she was getting to know more about it. She was going to learn about magic. Or she hoped so at least.
A smile - an actual genuine one - was starting to spread across her face. She turned her gaze over to Cleo as the graceful lioness padded over with a pamphlet in her powerful jaws. Just as Ana was about to reach for it Merlion rushed forward and snatched it from his familiar before the blonde could take it.
Oh. She had been excited about the pamphlet…but she wasn't about to argue with Merlion if he felt better about explaining everything himself.
After the wizard’s brief explanation, Ana nodded. She felt like Cleo was right with the pamphlet, but once again she remained silent. ”I don't see why people would talk about this. I don't,” she paused for a second, afraid she might be going a bit too far here, but she had already spoken up. There was no way she could hide her thoughts this time. ”I don't know why you would have even told anybody about this place. I mean, you have this amazing cave...a place where only you know about, a place where you can just go to without anybody else being there…” Okay, shut up. Merlion doesn’t need to sit here and listen to you ramble on about the cave, Ana. He had better things to do than listen to that.

Hecate Lucitor son of tom and hekapoo
A cocky smirk pulled at Hecate’s lips when the pretty boy asked if he was okay. Look at him go, getting a fairly attractive guy to worry about him. The worry wasn't needed, though. Of course Hecate was okay, nothing on Auradon could stop him. He was the almighty Hecate Lucitor and if he could survive the sneak attacks from Stella Butterfly then a hummingbird wasn't going to be the end of him. And, to put it into perspective, a sneak attack from Stella usually involved magic that would probably kill an ordinary human. One time she had frozen Hecate’s entire left arm for a whole week. She wasn't the crown princess of Mewni, but the girl was powerful. Any child of Star was bound to be powerful, though. After all, the only other Butterfly who could rival Star’s advancement in magic was Eclipsa and she herself was incredibly powerful. Hecate himself was pretty powerful what with who his own parents were, but even then he had still been stuck with a frozen arm for a week. Not even he had been able to fix it, and both his parents had found his predicament to be more humorous than worrying, which, to be fair, it had been. Hecate had laughed about it too, just only after the fact. A weeklong frozen arm wasn't fun. All in all this hummingbird attack wasn't going to kill him.
The smirk grew on his face, sharp fangs showing. He gave a chuff of amusement. He had to act all cool and nonchalant if he wanted Kingston to like him, right? Wasn't that how Earth flirting worked? Hecate had done his research on this before leaving Mewni - he had watched enough Auradonian chick flicks to last a century and he had only cried during forty-seven of those movies, but who had been counting? ”I'm totally fine. You don't have to worry about me, there's no way Auradon will get the best of me!” At that he puffed his chest out like some he was some kind of big and bad. Which he wasn't. Hecate wasn't anything near being big and bad. He was a dork and that was that.
It wasn't long until Hecate’s face clouded over with confusion. Feathery birds? What he had turned to ash had been a weird black and yellow thing. Had he gotten it wrong? No, there was no way he had. He couldn't start doubting himself, especially in front of Kingston. He was trying to get the guy to like him, he couldn't mess it up. So what if this was only the second time they had interacted? Hecate found him interesting and he wanted to come off as interesting and everything to Kingston as well.
After a moment of practically staring at the son of Anna and Kristoff for a good moment, Hecate shook himself free of those thoughts and found his voice. ”Uh, no, it didn't have feathers or a beak, but maybe it was still a hummingbird?” Come on, Hecate, save yourself here. His tail gave a nervous twitch. ”It was black and yellow and had a butt-dagger. That's what it hit me with, the butt-dagger,” he explained with a firm nod of his head. That, at least, was something he couldn't get wrong.
Realization dawned on him when he thought of something. Hecate groaned, a hand coming up to hide his face as he mumbled into his hand, ”I got beat up by a butt.” Now if that wasn't embarrassing then Hecate didn't know what was. Kingston was never going to want to hang out with him again all because a butt had put some burning itch mark on his hand. This was just great.

Adrian Benjamin Amable Blaise Arthur Bete son of Beauty and the Beast Adrian raised his brow in amusement. "It sounds gross, huh?" He shouldn't laugh. He couldn't even let out the smallest of chuckles, he shouldn't even be smiling. Despite him knowing this, he was struggling against it because here was this transfer student who was so anti anti-magic. She was magic, obviously grew up using it in Mewni, else she wouldn't be advocating for it so much. And he was someone who didn't have magic, couldn't use magic, and she said that living without magic was 'gross.' It was absurd and strangely amusing. "Most people without natural magic live just fine without it."
"I suppose magic could be considered a talent," Adrian started, "But consider this: If someone were to steal away magic, how would someone relying on magic manage to survive?" The Three Good Fairies were an example. Perhaps their magic was banned rather than stolen, but the point was there. They relied on magic far too much, and once they couldn't use it, they were essentially useless. "Other talents meanwhile don't generally rely on such a fleeting idea as magic, something that could be stolen, stop working, or even banned."
"Understand?" Adrian asked thoughtfully. He had rather hoped the point was made that to rely on something like magic wouldn't be the best. And that wasn't even getting into the fact that if some people had magic to do their work while others had to do it by hand with no magic, there would be an outcry of inequality. One side would have things far simpler than the other, and that other would... put a ban on it for equality. Perhaps it wasn't the best way, but it evened the playing field in a way.
"Onto the circle, that is actually the point of doing it. It could be the body of a lion, a piece of a snowman, the sun, or even the start of a face." He looked down to the drawing pad in consideration of one of the ideas. Looking back to the girl, he trusted his hand to not mess up the sketch that was beginning to form. He figured he would go with the lion.... just with a few additions to it, less lion and more.... chimera.
He couldn't shake his head in the fear that it would mess up his movement, so he just answered her instead, "I believe it would be better if there were no magic involved. Perhaps some other time you can show me what they look like-" he paused. He thought back to the words he just said and cringed to himself. If anything, it just sounded as though he now willingly accepted he would eventually spend more time with violin-licking pro-magic transfer student. Which he would rather not do.

Berlin Silverlake daughter of Bolt and Mittens There was only so much someone could do in an empty pool on a roller skates. Not as though the dog-cat minded, cause the rush of wind was comparable to sticking your head out of a car window. Thrilling, joyous, and got your mouth all dry when you had it open. She rolled across the pool, the speed taking her to the top before she swirled around to reach another edge, a blast of wind hitting her once more.
Pausing briefly at the edge of the pool, hunced over as to keep herself from tipping back down, she gave Carmelo a large grin. "Glad to know I look as good as I'm feeling!" She barked out, unable to contain her joy. She went back to going down into the pool, to get on the other side, near Carmelo.
"So, doggo, think you have enough footage to start having some fun with me down here in the pool," Berlin offered.

Matthias Aksel Alexsen son of Melody and Alex Matthias was staring with wide eyes, his attention completely on Blaise as he talked. Peach orange. He had a smile on his face taking in the words that the other were saying. It was actually nice to hear that he wasn't someone who would just claim something because it's expected of him- not that Matthias assumed Blaise was like that. Matthias just knew that this really wasn't going to help his case.
His favourite colour though. It wasn't too difficult to decide. Except it was. "It fluctuates between blue to be honest. Like... generally it'd be either a sky blue or a dark night blue. But, like, the night type of blue mixed in with purple because the stars in the sky start to blend different shades- that one. Starry nights always remind me of that colour and I guess in that case, it might even top sky blue. At least for the while after I am reminded of it."
"Which isn't nearly as often as I'd like. Not that I don't have the ability to, but sometimes classes have me stacked up and other times I wasted too much energy in the day to stay up to see them- which you've probably seen me come into the room and just crash, sorry. But like, when I was still in Atlantic, it was amazing to see the sky near the sea- it was just unbelievably beautiful, and if you ever go, definitely risk sleep to see it!" Matthias had taken his focus away from Blaise as he was talking to look at the sky. And towards the end went back to look at the prince with wondered eyes and an overjoyed smile.
Until he realized he had just been rambling. His eyes widened a little and he looked away from the pretty face to try and refocus himself. Not to focus on the sky, home, or even Blaise's face. Trying to avoid his face heating up, he tried to continue the conversation better. "Uh, sorry. I didn't mean to be... blabbering on. So.... Next question..." Matthias looked over to the book Blaise had before looking up to his face again. "What's your favourite book?"

Stella Butterfly daughter of star and marco
A huff of air escaped Stella from between her teeth. She rolled her eyes in ore of a humorous way than an annoyed one as she listened to what the prince had to say. It was still a bit awkward referring to him as a prince. On Mewni he would be a princess. Or at least in the Butterfly family he would be. But anyway, back to responding to what he had just said about magic and all that jazz. "Why would somebody steal away magic?" The young girl asked. Her asking the question wasn't meant to be a challenge or something to rile the boy up, no, it was just a question coming from her own curiosity. "Nobody here would steal magic because stealing is bad and Auradon is full of good people." Then another question left her tongue before she could even stop herself. "Is it even possible to steal magic? Before I was even born Ludo, or Toffee I guess, Ludo-Toffee? Tofudo? Ludoffe?" Stay on track here, Stella. "He stole the wand from my mom when she had it, but magic was still inside her. Just like Saros has the wand now, not me, and I have magic still!" She purred, quite proud of her magic. Not just anybody could do what she had already been able to accomplish. And she hadn't even reached mewberty yet when more magic would come to her. But that was a topic for another time. She needed to focus on what was important here.
The Mewni girl offered a soft purr, shrugging as she replied, "I guess a litttttttle bit, but you understand it a lot better because of your dad." A smile crossed her features as she then gave yet another purr like noise. "There are things I like doing without magic, like, uh, like cooking! I get to throw eggs," she mused, snickering as a memory of her taking an egg and slamming it down on the ground to watch it splatter came to her. Eggs were fun.
Watching him sketch was also fun. It was amazing to see and understand just how many things one circle could become. She was no artist herself and more than likely never would be, but she wanted to try the circle thing out one day. Maybe she could do that later when she was back in her room; she could try drawing a picture of herself, Saros, and Hecate. Or maybe even try a picture of the pet she had to leave back on Mewni, her three-eyed firecat named Popcorn.
These thoughts left her mind the moment Adrian mentioned that at some other time she could show him what Buff Frog or Spagettum Frog looked like.
Stella's eyes lit up with pure joy. Without thinking and without regard to the drawing that the prince was currently working on, the Butterfly girl tackle hugged him, pulling him close to her and rubbing her face against his like a cat would when claiming something. "Yeah, yeah! I'll show you what everything looks like! We could invite Saros and Hecate, too! Ohhhhh," she started, pulling away from Adrian as her amber-brown eyes rounded like two moons. "We could take you to Mewni! Mom would be so excited to see you! Can you imagine how fun that would be? We gotta do it, we gotta!" Stella exclaimed, tumbling off the bed and falling to the floor in her excitement. She scrambled back up to her feet and hopped around, first getting atop Toby's bed and then on Saros's. Once on her brother's bed she jumped a few times before propelling herself into the air, jumping back down on the ground on all fours. After her little display of excitement she looked back up to Adrian, eyes still wide and lips pulled back in a toothy smile. "What'dya say, huh?"
