Time's Light A Crossover Roleplay (LGTB Friendly)
"Welcome foreigners, to AG, or as the residents refer to it, Afterglow. I do hope you'll take the time to return the Ageons to peace." We were looking at a world, a soft glow surrounding its form, dazzling turquoise lights seen dotting across land forms that were broken by masses of amethyst seas. A female, dressed as a priestess was talking. "Across the land, there are dungeons holding magnificent treasures. There are four main dungeons, though. Alas, my fellow Ageons are unable to enter these towers in which monsters originate from. When the treasures are unlocked from the four main dungeons, there will be a beam of light that will be seen from around all of AG; this is called Time's Light. I am sorry for this inconvenience upon you, especially as it will strip of your memories past and of this moment." Then, there was the bell-like tones of a chime and we were all waking at the center of a grand Cathedral, people surrounding us, swords pointed our way.
Afterglow (AG) : The land is much like that of Earth, though the sea's are an amethyst in color and the sky has a golden hue. The sun and fire are turquoise in color. The residents live rather medievally, using torches and fire-lanterns to light buildings and their speech is more formal. Their clothing is also rather medieval. Their carriages are drawn by tigers rather than horses and any pets they may have are wild animals such as wolves, bobcats, hawks or the sort. Our Characters: When we start, our characters will have no memories (if any they'd be extremely vague) from the past or when they talked to the Priestess. They may regain some memories as the role-play progresses, but their full memories will be restored when they unlock all four fragment's of Time's Light. The Bad Characters: Just a general thing, not all bad characters need to abide by this, but most will/can organize the monsters of the land and will make it harder for our good characters to reach their goal.
This Crossover can have both Bad and Good characters, though there are a few things I must make clear before you consider joining. 1. The Good characters will be restricted to your own, created characters. They may not be Cannon. 2. As far as Bad characters go, I will permit Cannon characters, as for certain fandoms they may be difficult to create. Having both good and bad characters are essential to the plot. When the characters first wake up in the Cathedral, they are surrounded by guards pointing swords at them. This is because the bad characters came first and created some trouble for the Ageons. So, rather than being praised as 'The One's who Came From Stars' they are treated poorly by the citizens.
Without Further Adue: Jump in with your character. -- Aima blinked open her eyes, startled by what she saw. The roof was a large dome, paintings spread across it. There were stars, people, shadowed creatures and in the center was a sky-light that let in a turquoise light from the golden sky. She was in a two-piece, frilly, deep blue swim-suit that exposed her lightly tanned skin. Her hair was short with uneven ends, as though it had been cut with a knife and she had two locks in the front that framed her face and ended at her chin. On the back of her right hand was a golden D with a claw going through it. Her green eyes made their way to the lightly-armored men who surrounded them, gleaming silver swords pointed at Aima and the people beside her. She noted, that beyond the soldiers, were people who were watching warily.

Gabriel's eyes shot open. The turquoise light from overhead blinded him as he sat up. His eyes darted frantically around the room, barely absorbing his new surroundings. He found himself subconsciously scanning the room for someone, but he couldn't put his finger on whom. His hazy mind snapped into focus. Bentley. How had he forgotten about his twin? He glanced over his shoulder and saw Bentley sitting up. He rose and walked over. She looked up at him, blinked, and shook her head. "Gabriel, where are we?" she asked abrasively. There was a dash of fear in her tone, and he couldn't remember her sounding like that since... He blinked. The fleeting scrap of a memory was gone. What was happening?

Aima switched her gaze to the male and female. They seemed to be siblings, from the way they were talking. She scanned their bodies, looking for something, though she wasn't quite sure what. Dissatisfied, she decided to address the soldiers. "Where are we?" She asked, her voice coming out more curious than fearful. Sure she was really annoyed when she tried racking her brain for information and nothing popped up. Something's different. -But different from what? Gah! This is so freaking annoying! -Though, I can't help but be curious about it. -- Aucx woke up to a dazzling turquoise light, though despite its warm apparel, there seemed to be a cold tension in the air. His clothing consisted of a long-sleeved, black coat Which had light green details, including the shoulder epaulettes and has two rows of gold buttons on the front. Along with that, Aucx dawned a pair of dark grey gloves and a dark grey web belt with a silver waist-plate. He also wore the uniform trousers and black boots which go over the trouser's leggings. His hand instinctually shifted to the handle of his sword, though he had no clue why he even had one. His skin was tanned and he had light blonde hair, similar to Aima's. When the soldier's saw him take his sword handle, they took a threatening step forward. Aucx instantly let go and let his cherry-brown eyes survey the area. From the painted dome to the oddly dressed citizens, he could tell in an instant something was different.

Bentley stood up, her fists clenched at her sides. Her eyes flitted around the room, focusing on the faces of the soldiers. They looked human, but... Wait, why would she even be thinking that in the first place? There were two other people in the large church-like foyer besides the soldiers and her brother, but she barely noted them. No, she could think later. Fight first, think later. She yanked off her scarf, threw it on the ground, and rolled up the sleeves of her grey sweatshirt. Gabriel looked at her, and assumed a fighting stance. He felt like he should be reminded of something every time he looked at her, but it was like his memories were sitting at the bottom of a murky pool. He knew they were there, he just couldn't quite reach them. He shifted his weight from foot to foot. If they were going to fight, it was now or never.

"Alright!" Aux said, getting to his feet. "Look's like we'll be fighting our way out of this situation." He drew his sword, the black surface broken by a red stripe that covered half the blade length-wise and went from the blade to the tip. I fell like I should be calling something, but what? "This is your only warning," Came a gruff voice from one of the lightly armored soldiers, "Sheath your weapons and take your place in the dungeons or become an enemy of the Eastern AG Kingdom!" "Sorry, buddy, but that's not happening." A female spoke beside him. - Aima looked at the others, noting they were preparing for a fight. Something cold touched her skin and she found it to be a series of red and silver keys on a chain touching her foot. She picked them up and clipped it around her neck without thought before speaking up. "Sorry, buddy, but that's not happening."

Bentley's eyes widened, more out of curiosity rather than fear. Something wasn't right. She didn't remember much, but she didn't think that the world functioned in kingdoms anymore. She looked over at Gabriel, who didn't spare her a glance. He kept his eyes on the soldiers. She followed suit. What was even happening? No one else looked like they were in the mood to ask questions. Whatever. "Where are we?" she yelled, bringing her fists up to guard her face and widening her stance.

Without answering Bentley's question, which was what Aima had asked prior, the soldiers advanced. One grabbed Aima's wrist and held her. With her other hand, she moved to grab one of the red keys and, without thinking, read the name imprinted below a constellation figure. "Open, Gate of the Dragon, Draco!" The words were natural on her young, though she didn't pay much attention to what she said or why, as she struggled against her captor. Then, a male with caramel-tanned skin and messy red hair grabbed the soldier's arm with an unamused look. He wore baggy, crimson pants and a red scarf. His eyes were golden like a dragon's. He threw the soldier off herbivore looking an Aima softly. "Are you alright, Mademoiselle Aima?" The man, questioned. Total creep! Shivers ran along her spine and, in a sharp tine, she replied. "Thanks, and all, but who the hell are you?" She asked, but was ignored momentarily as Draco swiftly pulled her into his right arms and with his left, he shot a wisp of fire at another soldier who had been getting ready to use his sword. "Mademoiselle, you really have no relocation of me? How troubling, I'm Draco." He replied at length. -- Aucx made sure not to give any fatal blows with his sword, deciding to sheath it after sending a bloodied soldier into the crowd in the cathedral. Another soldier came after him and Aucx side-stepped and punched the soldier in the nose, making the guy drop the sword and stagger. Aucx kicked him squarely in the stomach, making the soldier reel back into the crowd opposite.

Gabriel watched the fray for a moment, taking note of the man's impressive fighting style. A solider came from his left, but Bentley was on him before he got a chance to throw a punch. He heard the woosh of metal by his ear and barely sidestepped the strike. He kneed the solider near a chink between his armor and delivered a swift elbow to his face without much thought. He wondered what the hell he and his sister had done before they were here to make fighting so natural, but he pushed the thought to the back of his mind as he caught a flash of light out of the corner of his eye. He spun on his heel to see a man shooting fire out of his hands. Fire. Fear curled in Gabriel's stomach like a hungry animal, and he backed up from the reeling soldier. Not fire was all he could think. His flash of blinding panic died down a little, and he made a valiant attempt to control his breathing. He regained his senses enough to dodge a forward stab from the man he had elbowed, who was coming back for more. He backed up near the other side of the cathedral near Bentley, turning to one side to avoid having to look at the man controlling the fire. He hadn't had a panic attack like that since... he couldn't remember. It frustrated him like hell, and he kicked the solider that had made is way over in the chest with renewed vigor. Knowing the open flames were in the room unsettled him, but the initial panic never returned. He figured its rediscovery and suddenness had caught him off guard. He kicked the guard that was on Bentley in the back of the knee, and they circled him like wolves. It felt natural, so he stuck to it. The twins let their muscle memory take over and settled in to the rhythm of combat.

(I'm so glad I didn't make Aima a fire wizard xD ) -- "Two soldiers left!" Aima called out to the group. "I hear footsteps. Sounds like more soldiers are coming, let's get out of here while we can!" Aucx said. Amma had no idea how he could hear the sound of footsteps past all the fighting, but she decided not to think to much about it. "It seem's I'll be off then, do be careful, Mademoiselle Aima." Draco said before disappearing. Seriously a creep. She shook her head and followed Aucx as he abandoned the fight. There were two exits in the Cathedral. The main doors which were large and heavy-set, but they were closed -and the back entrance where the soldiers were coming from. They were heading for the door. "Dude, I hope you have an idea of how we're getting out." Aima said negatively and Aucx just shrugged which made her want to face palm. "Can't any of those keys unlock a door?!" Aucx asked. Aima quickly scanned over the doors, it had no key-lock. She stopped in surprise, just a few feet from the door. "I don't think these are locked. They look heavy, but we might be able to push them open." She suggested.

Bentley heard a man's voice over the clatter of armor telling them to retreat. She grabbed Gabriel's sleeve and ran for the door where the others were. She didn't want to leave the fight unfinished, but she wasn't stupid enough to wait for reinforcements. Gabriel stumbled and matched her pace. They reached the door and stood next to the others, overhearing the tail end of their conversation. "Well, what are we waiting for then?" she asked, motioning toward the doors as she walked up to them. Gabriel sighed behind her and followed.

Bentley and Gabriel slipped through as the doors closed, following behind the woman in the swim suit. Bentley eyed her curiously, looking back and forth between her and the armored man with the wicked blade. She couldn't help thinking that she kind of wanted one, but she chalked it up to logic. They both needed weapons of some kind besides their fists. Bentley decided that was problem that could be solved once they didn't have a battalion on their heels. "Do you know where we're going?" she asked, quickening her pace.

Gabriel shook his head and opened his mouth to say something, but Bentley cut in. "Nothing. Only my name." The fact that she had lost her memory was disturbing and terrifying, like floating alone in the middle of the ocean. She swallowed her fear and gave a small smile. "-and that this weirdo is my brother." she said lightly. Gabriel shoved her, and she stumbled slightly. At least she had him. "Yeah, me too." Gabriel answered, breathing a sigh. "Maybe we got knocked out, or..." he trailed off, deep in thought. Yeah, what the hell had happened to them? He locked that thought securely away for a time when they weren't being chased out of the city. Facing the fact head on that whatever they had before was gone almost gave him vertigo. Maybe the distraction was welcome.

Aucx shook his head. "Not a clue. We obviously aren't from here. I mean, if we were, there could have been two scenarios in the Cathedral. 1. The guards wouldn't have attacked us or, less fathomable, would have been protecting us. 2. We're all from the same group of thieves and we did something to piss off the kingdom. Now, 1 doesn't work because we were attacked, not protected. And 2 doesn't work because, if it were true, we would have similar trade marks. Something like all having the same uniform, same tattoo or something like that." He said, just to clear up any lingering doubt that they may be from here. "Now, I don't know how the hell we got here or why we don't have our memories. What I want to know is why you both look like you've been fist-fighting for years, why you have talking key people and why I'm dressed up all military style. I don't really care why the hell we're here, doesn't make any difference to me." Aucx stated, gesturing to the twins, then Aima, then himself in turn. "I don't know either, but getting pissed isn't going to help us." Aima added.

"I'm afraid that my memory seems just as fleeting." A deep, quiet voice sounded out, located just above a large, overshadowing oak tree. A lithe, dark figure fell from the branches above, landing silently and softly on the balls of his feet. Slowly, crimson eyes opened to watch the other amnesiacs, the gaze betraying no emotions or thoughts. The figure was tall and lean, almost otherworldly so, with dusky, midnight-colored skin that seemed to lack any scars, and long, sharp ears that peaked out from behind silky white hair. He wore clothing that seemed to be made of a dark, leathery material - a black, collared overcoat with silver metal lining the seams, and a hood that was currently lying flat against his back. The overcoat was zipped from the collar down to his waist, cutting off there, and showcasing the rest of his attire. A leather belt with two holsters was wrapped around the waist of black trousers, seemingly made of the same material as his coat. Similar boots completed the ensemble. Of course, the holsters stayed empty, for gripped within his nimble fingers, were two sleek silver and black pistols, which seemed to almost hum as the Drow loosely held them, barrels downwards.
After a brief second of observing the others, Xaal closed his eyes, and smoothly holstered the weapons that he'd previously been ready to use. Something in his chest told him that these...people wouldn't attempt to hurt him. They were all in the same boat, as the one male had said. "I am Xaal...or, that is what my heart tells me. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintances." He said, crimson eyes opening to coolly watch them all. However, his voice stayed it's quiet, cold tone, even though his words were the stark opposite.

"Yeah, you don't have to be an ass about it." Bentley followed, crossing her arms. Gabriel pressed his mouth into a line. "We aren't from here, we have no memories, and we've clearly royally pissed off the kingdom. Maybe we were grouped together because of our features, not in physicality, but in mentality. It's possible we were chosen for a task. Maybe that task was illegal. Maybe we're just not from this part of town. No one knows. Sitting here and calculating the vast amount of probabilities isn't going to help us either. We're going to need answers from an outsider. Maybe ask your talking keys?" Gabriel asked flatly. Gabriel and Bentley shrugged in unison, giving each other annoyed looks upon realizing it.

Gabriel raised an eyebrow at the new figure. He gave him a once-over, and nodded at him. Innocent until proven guilty. But that didn't mean he needed to trust him. Bentley tensed next to him. Something wasn't right. The twins had the basic idea that wherever they had been before didn't have creatures like this. Bentley relaxed slightly, but kept on guard. Whatever. "Yeah, I'm Bentley. That's Gabriel." she said, motioning to her brother. "What do you know about this place?" Gabriel asked tentatively.

Xaal bowed his head slightly to Aima, walking forward once it seemed as if the group wouldn't attack him on sight. The 'people in keys' thing intrigued him...it seemed as if it was something relating to the arcane, and his mind itched at the thought. However, before he could get close enough to observe the keys in question, there was a tickle at the back of his neck. Slowly, calmly, Xaal turned his head towards Aucx, and observed the man in silence. There was something about him...the way he held himself. Xaal smiled coldly - more of a smirk, really, and simply gave him a nod before returning his attention to Aima. He continued to make his way over to the shorter woman. Without any hesitance showing in his smooth movements, Xaal lowered his head slightly, crimson eyes focusing entirely on the keys. His brain itched incessantly.
"They feel as if they're saturated in a...magical energy." He whispered, almost to himself. The words confused him...why would he even know of such things? But, there it was, at the back of his forgotten memories, like a tickle at the back of the throat. It annoyed him to no end.
Realizing that, perhaps, he was invading the young woman's personal space, Xaal took a few steps backwards, and turned to observe the forest around them. Gabriel's question caught his attention. "I have no recollection of this...place. Where I am from, it is much different."
His gaze returned to the trees. "Regardless, we are a respectable distance away, but I doubt it would be long until the soldiers find us. Questions can wait for later, yes? Perhaps we should find a safer area."
