What bothered Fisher just as much as people running toward him was people running away from him, maybe more so. When she took a step back, he took a step forward, grey eyes narrowed. He knew her. Fisher wasn't sure how or why, but he knew Adriana. Recognized her from someplace in his distant memory. "I'm sure you can," the officer replied calmly, putting one hand on his hip, "But you never know when a bunch of people are gonna gang up on you around here. You'd be outnumbered. Even I don't like heading out this way alone." His gaze softened a little, and he tried to smile, but it played on Fisher's face more like a smirk. Sometimes he had a little trouble dropping his professional side. "I'd be happy to give ya a ride back home. It's no trouble. And no offense, but you don't look so good. Is anything wrong?"

"Trust me, that doesn't worry me, I could take them down easily without bloodshed." Adriana stood up straight, once he smirk and took the step towards her, in which she took two steps back, looking at the man for a moment and then away, sighing again. "I'm fine Officer. I'm just going through a few things, and I've did some stuff that I'm not proud of and I'm paying for it. I'm doing what I can to fix what happen." She sighed, knowing the way she had said it would sound suspicious to the cop. "I need the air and a walk anyhow. It's for the best, anymore." She sighed. The woman only had a light jacket on, but the temperature didn't seem to affect her whatsoever.
{What did you think about me add a speedster later on? Maybe they worked with Ari? Till her meltdown occurred and her team and are still looking for her?}

(Yeah, sounds perfect. I'll probably add a character roster at some point. Looks like we'll need one to keep the plot moving)
Fisher frowned—definitely suspicious now—and took off his hat. "Ma'am," calling someone younger than he was "ma'am" felt a little awkward, but he didn't have a name yet. "I can't force you to do anything..." That was a lie. With what Ari had just said he probably could have detained her, but the city's police force had a tarnished reputation as of late. If that got out to the media, Fisher could be out of a job. "...But I don't feel right about leaving you alone. 'Kay? If you need help, doesn't matter what you did, I'll do what I can." Against his better judgment, Fisher extended a hand to shake Ari's, a move he wouldn't dare make with anyone else. "I'm Cody, by the way."

{Ok, I'm thinking within their little 'team', they have five or so different people, I've got the behinds the scenes techie down, I could probably add a young archer to the group who would be based on the Green Arrow and probably a gal who controls time, more like can temporarily stop it.
What do you think about have a little mugger group come by for a fun? And Fisher could find out who Adriana is?}
"Trust me, it's better off if I keep to myself, I'd rather not hurt you or anyone else. It's for your own sake and my own. You would hate me if you found out what I did, weellll... my other half did. She isn't me really. I'm Adriana." By this time, if she was trying to keep lowkey, she would have either disappeared in a wall of ice, or she would have taken his hand to shake if she had her hero gear on. But she didn't have it on her. "There's nothing you can do, let alone my friend, he tried, and he's the smartest man I know. I should probably just go hide out in an ice castle in the Antarctic." She muttered the last part to herself. "Dealing myself my own punishment." She sighed.

(Dude, I wish I had this many good ideas... XD Let's do it. Do you want me to RP the muggers?)
"I wouldn't hate you, Adriana. I don't hate anyone," Fisher replied without hesitation. Another lie. Defense lawyers, but she didn't need to know that. Taking his unshaken hand back, and feeling a little awkward about it, the officer went on. "If you really want me to go, I'll go. Is there anyone else you'd rather talk to? Family I can call? My friend Frankie's on duty. She'd be happy to listen." Yeah, he still had a bad feeling about Adriana, but there wasn't really anything to back it up. He was just glad she didn't take off on him. He half expected her to run off when he'd approached the first time.

{Be my guest.
The Techie is Carter, the speedster is Kate, and the timer is Amelia.}
Adriana smiled slightly, it was more of a tight lipped smile/smirk. "I doubt that. No doubt, they are probably have a warrant out on her." She sighed, looking into the distance. "Mhm. Nope, they haven't heard from me in a while, and probably don't want to hear from me for a long time." She looked back at the officer. "Trust me, it's better if no one knows me, or even have my friends know where I'm at." She sighed. "If I let you shake my hand, you'd probably know who I was. And no doubt, if she got out, she would go after you... I can't allow any one else to get hurt because of me." She sighed, nearly spiting out 'she' in disgust.

"Okay. Okay. I get it." Fisher definitely didn't get it, but he gave Adriana his best attempt at a convincing smile anyway. He needed help on this one, and took out his phone to send a quick text, nonchalant. "You have a good evening. Stay safe out there, alright?" Of course, he had every intention of following her. More information that wouldn't hurt Adriana if she didn't know.
At least, he would have, but a group of people rounded the corner before he could so much as wave goodbye at Adriana. And they weren't being subtle about the weapons in their hands; anyone brandishing guns and knives like that came with a specific purpose. This was an ambush. Lucky he'd sent that text a few seconds ago. "Hey, dispatch," Fisher said into the radio on his shoulder, "I'm gonna need some more help out here."
"Hey, copper," the tallest one said, "I'm gonna need your gun."
"Adriana," the officer hissed, "Get in the car."
(Lmao I wish the characters I RPed had that level of development at any point in time. xP I like her already.)

{You should know me by now, all of my characters seem to sass them selves into trouble. Ie. Abby, if you remember her.}
"Of course Officer." Adriana sighed, with a rolled of her eyes. She started off, of course she stopped walking hearing the sounds of heavy boots, since she just happened to be walking towards it. She groaned, "Not this not now. Haven't had a good fight in a while. "Oh you again? Really? You think by this time, you would know what was good for you, and by that I mean to quit causing trouble. "Officer, I told you once that I can hand myself, if I were you, you should get in the car and wait for backup. Also, tell no what you are about to see. If she comes out, she will go after you and kill you." She stated, taking the necklace off and put it into a zipped pocket, and turned her attention to the group. She knew this was a dangerous thing to do, and this was the first time she had used her powers since it happened. "Now what did I tell you thugs? Don't you remember what my team told you after we got your puny leader? Hm...?" She managed to keep her in check, but yet her hair turned slightly blue and even her eyes changed slightly. Somehow both sides of her were completely warring for once without the cuffs. Even her hands were steaming for a moment. "Do you want to be killed and fight or do the right thing and run away to be good little boys?" She asked, not wanting to fight.

"I'm not getting in the car! This is my job!" Fisher snapped, sounding a little angrier than he'd meant to. Drawing the handgun the gangsters had demanded, he trained it on the tallest man. "Everyone freeze! Drop your weapons!" Again, helpless. He was starting to realize who Adriana was, though. She wasn't a hero; she was a wanted criminal. But he'd deal with that later.
"I'm not afraid of some girl," the gangster snarled, slowly approaching Adriana. "You think you're tough? You think some glowing hair is gonna scare me? You think I'd be out here if heroes were any concern of mine? Guess what, honey, they're not. I'm not gonna be bullied by you or your cop friend. This city's mine." The second he moved, Fisher fired a round, but everything was happening too fast to make sense of the following events.

"What did I tell you? I'm better off on my own. I never wanted to be a villain. I was suppose to be the hero along my friends, including Breakneck, but then my powers backfired on me, creating a monster inside me. I didn't realize that till it was too late." Adriana growled, it was almost a pained cry. She never wanted to become a villain. Hopefully she could show her face as hero, some day soon. With that, her hand flew up ice pouring out to form a sort of barrier between her and Fisher, not wanting to injure him.
With that taken care of, she turned her attention to the gang. "Well, I gave you a chance and you didn't take and I will take you down so you wish Breakneck and my old self would have taken you down, not the me now." Adriana growled, she practically threw herself over the group to the last man in back and took him out in a matter of seconds, leaving unconscious and some skin tinged blue, but he would survive. She did practically the same move on the opposite of the group, leaving the second in command out. With a few more dodges and kicks, she had knocked out two more. "You better be glad I don't let Crystalborn out, or else everyone in the vicinity would be dead." She stated, breathing heavy. It was quite obvious that Adriana herself was hanging on by a thread. "Now what are you going to do?" She hissed. "You aren't so tough anymore." She managed to blast some ice on to their weapons, leaving them with a bit frostbite on the hands, but nothing that a little bit of painful time and healing would do. She left the gang leader untouched, her chest was still heaving more from the internal fight than anything else. "If Breakneck and I were still a team, this would have ended before it even turned into a fight. But she still is still good at heart. The best person to have at your side in battle. Have you had your fill?" She asked, the hair and eyes only became more intensely evil as time worse on without the necklace or cuffs.
{That too much? Feel like it is....}

(Nah, I think it was a good amount.)
The leader scrambled backward, tripping over his own feet in an attempt to get away from Adriana. He was bleeding, grazed by the round, but somehow found the strength to get up and run, leaving his friends behind without a second's hesitation. He'd never had an even match before. This was uncharted territory, and the criminal didn't know how to navigate it. So the best thing to do, he decided, was run to a place he did know.
Fisher, on the other hand, was still looking for danger, trying to scale the ice wall. He wasn't surprised she had powers. He'd seen weirder and he should have guessed. Glowing necklace, and all. This kind of crap didn't faze him anymore, but he was still angry. At the very least, severely irritated. Now Fisher felt like handing out speeding tickets. "Hey!" he shouted, barely managing to crest the barrier, "Hey, you look at me! Right now!" Holding a conversation was difficult when the officer couldn't keep himself from slipping. Finally, surrendering, he pointed through the wall at where he assumed Adriana would be and snapped, "You're in big trouble."

Adriana's chest was heaving, it was really obvious that everything about her spoke that there was a battle going on in her mind. She turned around, eyes ever so slightly glowing. "I told you. I've failed this city, I've failed the people of the city, my friends. I never wanted to hurt anyone." She was nearly crying at this point. However with danger out the way, Crystalborn took her chance to finally win, and that only cause Adriana to freeze, hands on her head, fighting her other half. A moment later, her hand slowly moved to the pocket and slowly pulled the necklace out and slid it around her neck. Her eye flashed back to their normal color, but her hair didn't quiet turn back to fully normal dirty blond, it still had a blueish tint. Adriana closed her eyes and shook her head. "I told you, I'm a monster never wanted to do it. "Tonight was the first time I had a chance to see the damage my other half had caused. And she continues to haunt me." Adriana murmured, crying, slowly backing away.

"So talk to me!" Fisher called, wishing she'd stop to listen, just for a moment. "Just come here, sit down, and let's talk this out. Let's get you the help you need." He could be soothing when he wanted to, surprising, consudering what the officer had just done. "Adriana, I need you to cooperate, and I need you to make a decision. There are gonna be four other officers here in the next five minutes. You can't leave. Do you hear me? You can't leave." It wasn't so much a decision as it was an ultimatum. "If you leave, things are gonna get a lot worse from here on out. For everyone. Let's avoid the fallout and talk."

"You don't get it do you?" Adriana sighed. "If two of the brightest minds that I know, not including myself, can't figure me out, then what is the police department to do? They couldn't even subdue her. Those two, my friends, have created so many devices to catch so many powered villains and gangs and have brought them to justice. I'm safer on my own, with the power cuffs that isolate my power and her. This necklace is the same thing, I just don't have charge it as much." She pointed out the necklace. "My friends have already tried the normal person approach, with a slew of different medicines, none, absolutely none of that worked. Until my friends figure out something, I have to hide in shame, I've seen what I've caused. Why can't people just allow me to hide in it. I know the death, danger and destruction that I've caused, it's horrifying, I know I didn't personally cause it but it feels like I, but I didn't. And that kills me, a hero is never suppose to harm a civilian even at the cost of their life. I'm alone, it's safer this way, I'm hanging on by a thread without the cuffs or necklace. If my other half takes over, then it's the end of the road, I'll end up where my friends hold the powered villains... If my friends catch me, if you catch me well, the toll will be even higher." She murmured, "What else is there to talk about? Either way, you'll arrest me.. I'm already wanted, or at least Crystal is, once I get to jail, they'll take this away, and everyone will be in danger. It's a no-win situation. And I don't believe in no win situations." She murmured, taking a tiny step backwards. Adriana was incredibly smart, just like her friends, often a step or two ahead of the villains, if they weren't two steps behind, or ten for that matter.
{Was this what you wanted in terms off drama?}

(Yaaassss. This is perfect. We're like ten posts in and already at a good parts. XD)
When she asked, Fisher wanted to say, "No, I don't get it. None of what you just said made any sense," but instead kept his mouth shut and tried to seem sympathetic. He really couldn't relate. Frankie was better at this kind of stuff, right? She was a girl. Sort of. Sometimes she was more manly than Fisher. "We can work something out, Adriana. You're not going to jail." Internally, the officer added, They don't send looneys to jail. All superheroes were crazy. All had some tragic backstory, traumatic event tearing them up inside. Maybe if Fisher had stuck with med school he could have been a superhero himself. "But I need you to come out here so we can have a normal conversation. Can you do that for me? Please? If I promise to stick up for you?"

"I've what happens to people like me, either they're caught by my friends or by your people and it's never good, it always ends up with more death and destruction. See this is what happens when I open up to people." Adriana looked around, opening and closing her mouth like a fish out of water. Her grip on her arms tighten, bringing her crossed arms closer to her body. She was becoming anxous, switching her weight between feet. She looked around. "I've said too much." Her head tilted slightly from side to side, indecision clear on her moments. "Fine, I'll talk, but on my conditions. Not now, just the two of us, off the book, not when you have backup coming like now and we can quit at anytime. And I find you to talk." She stated, looking around.
{Ok.}

"Okay, but don't follow me. I don't like it when people follow me," Fisher replied, putting his hands up. As two other squad cars rounded the corner, lights and sirens, he looked from the street and back to Adriana. "I hate to say this, but you'd better go, if you're gonna go." This was totally against protocol, but Fisher, figuring the disobedience might be worth it in the end (and besides, he clearly wasn't a match for Adriana), it was in both their best interests to let her go. Discretion, he told himself.
(Good game. Good game. I think that's the end of this scene)

"I hope don't regret this. Also little hint, you may want to disarm them before they wake up or else you won't be able to handle them. Even in the good days, this gang was a handful for both Speedy and I." Adriana added at the end before before running off. Normally she'd disappear in a poof ice or fly off, but she didn't want to risk it. She knew the streets pretty well, enough to get away without being seen.
{Hahaha..}

(K. I'm thinking maybe B gets to the crime scene first and then Adriana and her friends come too, thinking they'll be first?)
At midnight, an explosion shook the city. Luckily, it was full of heroes. Someone was bound to be a block away, just waiting for something to go awry. Those so-called heroes wanted something bad to happen, whether they admitted it or not.
In typical fashion, a hero was on scene within thirty seconds—almost as though he had known it was going to happen. But he didn't have powers to speak of. There was another in his group who did, but only used them when absolutely necessary. Dragging victims out of a burning building certainly fit the bill.
It was all over before it began and before the police could even get in their cars. Now the heroes could only wait. There were a few people—reporters included—they wanted to speak with. Their plan would only work if it made news.

{Ok.}
Breakneck was the first on scene, I mean if you were a speedster and you were almost able to break the sound barrier, wouldn't you be moments after the building collapsed? But it wasn't like anyone saw her. She brought a hand up to where her ear would be, "Car, I have not seen a sight a soul in sight, I don't think this is my type of thing, I'm just going to do a quick once-over and leave." She stated in her royal blue get up. She had slowed to a stop, looking over the scene while she talked to her help.
"All right then, be careful, yourself don't want to get any injuries or for that matter get stuck on any surface that may slip and cause anyone to get hurt or stuck even more in the wreckage." Carter replied.
Breakneck only smiled and laughed at her friend's reply. "You do remember that I heal much more quickly than the average person right?" She asked, coming to a stop in nearly the exact same spot as before. "I didn't see anyone that I can help." She added. "Still no sign of Enigma or Crystal?" She asked, still worried for her friend.
"Ok skedaddle out of there, you can either come back to base or watch from a distant to make sure nothing else happens. And do be careful, I got that brief reading of ice and low temperatures a while back, but other than that, nothing else on her friend. I think I'm almost on to the thing that will keep her alter-ego away. Give it time Kate." Car stated.
Breakneck nodded, "I'll keep watch." With that she ran two streets over and ran up the side of a building and watched.
Meanwhile Adriana just happened to be in the area and she ran to the crime, she had both dyed her hair and put contacts in to change her eye color to a greyish blue. She managed to see the streak of lightening that was her former friend leave. Knowing the coast was clear, she ran to the wreckage to see if she could dig and drag anyone out.
