Ravensong (If you're questioning your activity and post quality before you even start, I recommend you reconsider? Not that I'm telling you to drop this just yet) ᴄᴇʟʟɪsᴛ (Pardon the shortness. There isn't much for them to do in the time they get back to the hideout x3) Charlie squeaked in surprise when Beckett suddenly started running. Snuggling more into the pocket, he just steadied himself, uneasy. He knew where they were going. His little form could feel the vibrations of the immense aura. It seemed to sense their coming too, because its aura was becoming smaller and smaller, like it was leaving. At least they didn't have to deal with it further. That wouldn't be ideal, for Charlie mostly. Then, he blinked as the energy started turning around, approaching them quickly. Like a train, power barreling toward them. Peeping out of his pocket, the Rabbit looked up to see something pass over them, glance down at them. It was large, winding and a slim body of coils. Of power and beautiful, intimidating elegance. What was the most entrancing were the eyes. Completely white, except for a cloudy pupil, like a blind individual. And they held a gaze of, surprisingly, serenity. The look of the creature was not what necessarily scared the Rabbit. What did though, was where he'd seen the image before. It was a crappy depiction, but he saw it on that stone slab all those centuries ago. Seeing it was just another confirmation of what the purpose of its coming was. The dragon paused, floating in the air as it stared down at them. Only for a few moments though, before it seemed to smile, and uncoil as it left, winding and weaving through the skies like a black plague. Everywhere it passed over indeed became plagued, but with the matter of famine instead. The Rabbit could feel the tiny auras vibrate with need and desire for whatever they'd been starved of (the less common definition for famine was a shortage of things besides food.) And by the chaos that could now be heard in the distance, one could tell they were going to get it. Hiding back in Beckett's pocket, he refused to come out again until they were back at the hideout. He would settle for the Ritz crackers still there (Charlie didn't know Shu was already eating them.) At least the creature had left, hopefully, seemingly no trace of its soul in the area. Reaching out, he picked up on the tremors of the other Zodiac. They were spooked (except the Rat), but okay. Feeling relief, he was glad none of them were hurt like him. It was weak, but his aura started giving off that happy vibe again, like the Charlie that woke up that morning. He didn't leave the pocket though, still only going to when they were officially back inside the hideout.

B e c k e t t
It didn’t take one’s ability to simply feel the rush of energy that was barreling towards them frantically. Halting in his tracks, Beckett glanced up as he understood that something was passing over their heads, his dark brown eyes narrowing a little. Already he could feel his own energy surge as it traveled through his veins, ready to envelop him back in silver scales if it needed to.
But he paused before he could. He’d seen this white-eyed dragon. No, he hadn’t been the one - the Rabbit had a long time ago. He’d received the images within Charlie’s head from the Rabbit’s desperate attempt at passing on his memories earlier, after all. What appeared to be the black plague soon uncoiled and disappeared, leaving chaos behind as its trail.
Hurrying up to the hideout, Beckett burst through the door. He couldn’t help but rush - sure he was level-headed most of the times, but not when it felt as if the lives of all the Zodiacs, who were all gathered together in one spot, were threatened by those shadowy forces. “Are all of you all right?” He asked, his warm voice practically weaved in with worry. There was the Tiger, the Ram, and the Rat. They didn’t appear to be harmed, and the sight of them alive allowed his shoulders to relax just a little. “Where are the others?”
( that's okay smokey - your reply isn't all that short either so there's no need to worry and hullo there, raven ! )

ᴄᴇʟʟɪsᴛ "They're all fine," Charlie grumbled from the Dragon's pocket "I can sense them." Peeping from his spot, he had been about to say something, but was stopped. Shu had been lazily writing in his book, not even looking up when Beckett came in. The Rat, eyes on paper, spoke aloud to them "And then will come the End, in form of a black beast. Plague shall roll off its shoulders, in the form of famine and death. On the brink of the old world's damnation, it shall ask its silver twin one question. Of course he shall give the wrong answer, and so the plague will cause its destruction." And that was just a few words, less detailed. Shu then wrote a few more sentences before closing the book, and setting it in his lap. He glanced as Charlie, with difficulty, warped out of view. Probably to his room to finally change. "You all must've noticed," Shu said simply "But something bad is coming. Something that dwarfs all the battles we've been in within our lifetime. So far, I've seen nothing that will halt its destiny. And it works for our former captors, who probably juiced it up with who knows what." His head turned when Charlie came back into view, clothed. The Rabbit hesitated, but suggested "Maybe we could try... talking to it? If even a little, must think like us if it has our energies in it... maybe it doesn't want to harm us?" Shu shook his head, saying "Whether it likes us or not, it has something it needs to do. I've seen it, and I'm almost always right." Charlie hesitated. When he talked with whatever that being was in the park, it had been... unsure, as it mentioned its superiors. It even showed... fear, when Charlie tried moving closer. "You can't make everyone happy," Shu told Charlie "Can't change something so... sinister." The Rabbit pouted slightly though, not in agreement. It was always good to try, so he wanted to try. Even though that thing hurt him. With a wince, he went to go sit on a couch, his body still aching and pained horribly. Honestly, even with his abilities and Beckett's help, it seemed that he would not fully recover. He reached out his aura to touch everyone else's, showing them the near immeasurable souls contained in the creature there earlier. Deep, deep, deeeeeeep down, underneath all the corruption and malevolence, was a tiny, pale light, quivering and shivering. Like a scared child. It was so tiny that Charlie almost missed it. The poor light would twitch and jump at every shift the outer souls made, sneering and belittling it. It would occasionally shake horribly, like it was crying out. The Rat, who paid attention, shook his head again and said "This hardly makes a difference. It'll be impossible pretty much to reach that, let alone bring it forth into the outer layer."

Ravensong(Yes and no. First, everyone wakes up. Them Beckett and Charlie leave. They come across a black creature, who is most likely a prophesized god who will end the current world. It attacks them. While they recover, Shu, Ollie and Jacob interact before the same thing comes to them. As Beckett and Charlie head back, the thing leaves.)

Ravensong(You should know their story is different if you read the rp. All Zodiac are old, old gods. They lived together until a prophecy was spoken of a god that would destroy the world in the future. From China to America, all Zodiac fled, eventually caught by government in the far future. The creature (black ooze) did not actually exist until after they escaped, a long while after they did, created out of the energies taken from the Zodiac. So, unfortunately, I must ask you to strike the backstory. One, because of how Alex has seen the ooze before, and two because you implied she reached the hideout a different way. All the Zodiac escaped the government together and made the hideout together.)

Leaning his head back against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest and his eyes closed, Beckett allowed himself to see the image that Charlie had yet again reached out to show. There it was - a shivering small speck of light that seemed to start at every little movement, at every little shadow that flickered across it.
When his attention was hauled back, the Dragon only narrowed his eyebrows a little in thought. The Rat’s words lingered in his head. The plague of famine and death… the brink of the old world’s damnation… silver twin… something that dwarfs all the battles we’ve been in within our lifetime.
“I’m going to have to agree with Shu here,” said Beckett who tilted his head every so slightly downwards, though his dark brown eyes remained out in the distance, not quite meeting those of the other Zodiacs. You can’t make everyone happy. That was true, as much as he wanted to believe that it was possible. Not every attempt to try worked either - he’d learned that the hard way with his old ideals shattered with the long years of bloodshed in the past. He remembered the words someone had once told him and found them touching the tip of his tongue this time. Strange. Had they known that one day he would say the exact same thing? Had they known that his idealistic self would be split in half, struggling with wishes and reality? “If you try to save someone you can’t save, you’ll both end up sinking.”

ᴄᴇʟʟɪsᴛ (It's okay :3) The light seemed to shake and cry as Charlie tried withdrawing the auras that could reach it. The pale shape pawed at them, retreating to weak tremors when it realized they weren't going to stay. The Rabbit reluctantly finished withdrawing their linked souls. Just before he severed the link though, something seemed turn its attention to them. Dark and malicious, it puppy-guarded the tiny light before pushing all the twelve souls out of the link simply with its immense size. Charlie blinked, and didn't comment. "Sometimes it's worth it," Charlie said simply "To sink for someone. If it wasn't, we would've abandoned humans a long time ago." He was going to say more, but Shu held up his armored hand, brows bent. "You can't hope to help something like that without getting yourself killed. The best thing to do would be to kill it, which we can't, or seal it away. Nothing in my books can bind something so strong though." The Rabbit looked at Shu and Beckett. If he had his animal ears, they'd be dropping. He probably shouldn't be so disappointed though, because the Rat and Dragon were more of the attack types, while the Rabbit was like a peacemaker. He didn't like conflict, and wanted everyone to get along. "You didn't see how scared that little aura was? Leaving it was like abandoning a lost child! We used to be the ones saving babies! There has to be a way to help it, Shu! What do your books say?" The Rat snorted, answering "I don't know. I can't find anything happy under all the death, blood and warring. Maybe we-" He paused again, zoning out. A minute passed before he opened up his book and began scribbling away. "Everything takes time," he said, reading after he finished "Even an ending. It shall travel, making an invisible ring of its plague. When it completes its deadly ring, it will wait for its silver twin to come before letting the ring spread across the land." Scratching his side, he finished "If we leave it alone, keep that question from being asked, perhaps it will not end the world?" It was a very risky idea, as it could just complete its journey if it waited too long. "Or," Charlie insisted "We try to intercept it and stop it from making the circle entirely? If we try to get through to-" He was stopped by a glare from Shu. "That matter is closed," he said shortly "We won't succeed without harming ourselves and leveling a handful of cities in the process. This is the first time I've ever had to write alternate endings, but this one is not recommended, Charlie. In this case, fighting will be more effective." The Rat looked over at Beckett, brow raised before he finished "I have finished this book. I am heading to my library, and shall leave you all to discuss this among yourselves. I want a solid decision upon my return." And with that, he got up, and left the room.

[ hot damn look at this filler junk ]
Ollie, unmoving from the couch he had since sat back down, watched the others speak and strategize, offering nothing but his regular silence. Would the safety of the Zodiacs truly be too much to ask? His hands balled into fists. Out of anyone on the planet, or, goddammit—out of anyone in the entire universe, Ollie believed they deserved to live peacefully most of all. The Ram sighed, and joined his hands together. The last thing he wanted was to fight. All he did with his life, to this point, was fight. But turning the other cheek didn't seem like a very good option. Wordlessly, Ollie got up and made his way for the bathroom, and tried (albeit unsucessfully) to push these thoughts out of his mind.
Only once he was behind a locked door did he release the breath he did not know he was holding, letting it take the form of a sigh. Such selfish thoughts was his mind bringing. Ollie really didn't handle stress too well before the experiments—nowadays, the slightest offset would have him crying for anyone maternal, underneath the whole edgy, nonchalant thing he had going on. Clearly, that wasn't a good attribute to have when his whole life revolved around stress. Keep in mind: the Ram was physically 'invincible', not emotionally. He glanced at his reflection in the mirror, and stuck his tongue out at the red-faced figure staring back. You gotta do what you gotta do, he thought. Gah—no time for this way of thinking!
Whilst on the topic of immunities: Oliver's body was odd. It healed any wound or illness with incredible haste, yet, little things like the vasodilation stress or embarrassment brought? His powers seemed not to care. Treatment was brought the good old fashioned way, by leaning over the sink and spashing cold water in his face. How cliché it was to be human, in some aspects! He wondered, briefly, if there was anything else his body wouldn't, or couldn't, fix up for him. He splashed more water in his face. He was dumb when he was vulnerable like this. Impending apocalypses sucked!!

@animefreak As soon as Oliver was able to look up again, there was something to greet him. Leaning his crossed arms on the sink, chin resting on top of that, was a man in his mid twenties. A head of coal-colored, curly hair, and pale, milky white skin. It was the eyes that were outputting though. Dull, grayish white, no pupils at all, staring up at the Ram. If one could see their auras, it was like a mountain looming over a pebble. However, the newcomer was actually physically smaller, by about a head. Then, he spoke. A soft, almost shy voice. "You seem... troubled," he said, showing what seemed to be concern, head tilted and eyes gentle. "Care to confide in a lonely stranger?" He was calm, relaxed, but alert nonetheless, just in case anything happened.
He didn't expect anything from Ollie though, in terms of attack. Aware of the Ram's capabilitIes, no fear was felt. What compelled him to show himself, he wasn't sure, but there he was, probably scaring the crap out of the Zodiac. He was not afraid though, of... anything. Ever since that little light was shoved down deep and locked away. Before that, he wanted to be alone. Away from those horrible monsters. They ignored his cries and pleas as they tore into him for their own profit only. Then, he just... stop feeling. No weakness, no crying, no pain. Anything was achievable for him, so he no longer questioned it. Welcomed the numbness and the thirst to... hurt. To harm. To assert himself.
All of those thoughts ran through his mind as he looked up at Oliver, because at one point, he was in the Zodiac's position. The lab rat. None of that mattered anymore though, because the monsters came through on their promise. They said he was destined for greatness. To be the strongest out there. His brows twitched, raised, eyes developing a truly psychotic look. And then he moved. Before the other male could do much else, he'd gotten up and pressed a hand to the side of the Ram's head, right over the temple. And then all of Ollie's thoughts and memories were his too, as if seeing another the other's suffering was an answer to something, because his crazy look subsided into a more relieved look. As relieved as a psycho could look.

A solid decision upon my return, eh.
Dragging his hand through his hair, Beckett only raised an eyebrow while watching the Rat disappear. Demanding as always, aren’t you? His gaze returned to the Rabbit, and when he spotted Charlie’s expression, he tipped his head just the slightest bit to the side with a subtly troubled smile settling onto his lips. It wasn’t the first time he'd seen the transparent ears dropping from the Zodiac’s head. Hopefully he wasn’t getting anything miscommunicated - while the concept of a Dragon was known to be fierce by many, he’d never really liked the idea of fighting or breaking peace. Keeping a serene and blissful calm amongst others was what he had sought after for a long time. He still did.
“Why don’t you come over here, Charlie?” He said as he lightly patted the seat next to himself on the couch, as if to beckon his companion over, though by no means was he trying to force any options upon Charlie’s shoulders. He rested his chin upon his propped up hand as he glanced out the window, his brown eyes soon locking in thought, though they maintained the same easygoing calm.

ᴄᴇʟʟɪsᴛ(Here it is, my reply :'3 You tell me if I need to post more though!) Charlie had watched Shu leave, only blinking when he heard Beckett's voice. Head turning, he was quiet for a moment before finally moving to join the Dragon. His smaller form joined Beckett on the couch, looking over at him for a moment before looking down at his hands, which were nervously playing with each other in his lap. "Are you really past trying to help it at this point?" he found himself asking, finally finding something to say within the quiet "For all we know, it could be just like us." The Rabbit only ever wanted to try and see the good in everyone, wanted to see if even the darkest shadows could be made happy. What Shu promised was coming could very well indeed mean the destruction of the world. The being he felt, surprisingly, wasn't manipulated in any way. Wasn't in a lull of hypnosis or mental guidance. Every thought was voluntary, on its own. If it wasn't being influenced by the humans, then maybe it could be convinced to move against them. The only thing the government had done to it was supercharge it with twelve extra spirits. "Higuma used to be a malevolent spirit after he died," Charlie said "But I managed to help him get better, and he became the lazy temple spirit you sparred with. The point is, that he was like what I showed you, but a smaller degree. A little light trapped in darkness."

Ollie felt a shift in his environment before he saw it. No, that wasn't some freaky power of his—that was just his paranoia. The Zodiac's hands froze, still cupped right below his face. It took him a second, but he managed to calm his nerves and resumed his face-washing. He had made sure to lock the door behind him. So unless one of the others had developed the ability to walk through walls, he was totally alone. Right...?
Unfortunately, it was just a tad bit impossible for the Ram to 'calm his nerves'.
A little more sharply than he had meant to, he lifted his head to glance around himself. His eyes rested briefly upon the black-haired intruder, moved off, then zipped back for a double take. Now, okay, he'll be the first to admit that he wasn't always one-hundred-percent aware of his surroundings (much to the dismay of his jumpy persona). But he could've sworn that this...person was not here before. Not once did Oliver ever recall even seeing his face, which rose the questions: who was he, and how did he get in here?
"Uh, I'm not...much for confiding." Was all Ollie said in response. Most people, in such a situation, he knew would probably be running for the hills. While, yes, the ram was spooked, and wanted to scream, he simply didn't express fear that way. The only cues would be the slight hesitation and tremble as he reached for the hand towel hanging beside him to dry his still-dripping face and hands.
For some odd reason, he didn't want to call upon any of the others quite yet. Maybe he was scared that, if this person could seemingly appear from nowhere, he might be able to disappear just as quick? Or maybe he wanted to investigate the situation on his own, to be of some use. A queasy feeling grew in his stomach, and his eyebrows creased. While the motive wasn't clear to him in the moment, he did try to stay calm about the situation. "Could I ask your name?"
Anyone who knew or understood Ollie in the slightest knew that his bravado (or what he considered his bravado) was not to last. Once the man's face contorted into that insane look, any bravery in his bones was melted away to bring back the anxious side that everyone knew and hated. Face pale and drawn, he dropped the hand towel and at least attempted to intercept the hand. Too late, though. The Zodiac winced at the contact (but didn't lift or drop his arm further). Then, his shoulders eased the tiniest fraction. No pain—the guy seemed to be simply insane, not seemingly murderous yet. He didn't know if that was better or worse.
But he wasn't so stupid as to let his guard down quite yet. It was Oliver, now, was it not? He pressed his lips into a firm line after the hand was dropped, momentarily quiet.
"...Are you...okay?" He asked after a moment.
