Ivypaw's grin widened as Flickerpaw further agreed to it. He tried to recall the meeting and the things Luddleheart had said, though the tom hadn't been paying attention as he had been to focused on wanting to put something in the nest. He sat down looking at his paws in thought as he tried his best. " Yea...i think it was like a feather to show you are fast...or like a claw to show you are storng..just soemthing to represent your self pretty much," he said. It sounded right in his head and if it's wrong oh well, what was going to happen they put something in surely it should count! Before he could try say anything further he jumped at the new voice approaching them, at first thinking it was his mentor, but after a double take it was his sister(would he know? If not *insert brother*), his ears pulling back slightly. Don't get Ivypaw wrong he adored all his littermates to death, and would be willing to do anything for them, he had to admit he wished Antlerpaw was at least a bit more of a rule breaker like Fawnpaw, and occasionally Mintpaw if you offered him the right leaf. " Of course not, we are just talking about who we think is going to be entering," he said flicking his tail. " So far we think Cloverpounce, Thundersnap, and possibly if Fawnpaw can succeed Stoatchase will be joining!"

Flickerpaw Antlerpaw’s approach dampened some of Flickerpaw's spirits. They knew the she-cat was less likely to go along with this little scheme, but at least she wasn’t fully a goody-two-shoes. “Uh- Yeah, just chatting about who’s gonna enter is all, but…” She lied with ease but then turned back to the tom. “Stoatchase?? Really??” She snorted. “That guy is a bit too… uh… 'focused' on hunting to be leader.” They flicked their tail. “Thundersnap is a good choice and so is Cloverpounce, even if she seems a little bit dumb to me, she’s got a lotta heart ‘n all… But Stoatchase is a weirdo, no chance for him.” She chuckled. Then glanced to Antlerpaw, hesitating before muttering. “And maybe we’d like to try something out when it comes to joining the games…” Hoping that she wouldn’t rat them out.

Antlerpaw - Camp - Ivypaw, Flickerpaw (Ember34, lepidopteran)Antlerpaw couldn't help but smirk a little at their attempts to hide what they were actually doing. "Riiiight," she said. "Only talking about who will be leader. I thought you were thinking of entering yourself, my mistake." With a purr she shook her head and flicked her tail at Ivypaw's ear. "It's fine, mousebrain. I won't rat you out or stop you. I do think you shouldn't be getting your hopes up but I must admit that I'd rather see one of you in the games than some of the actually eligible ones." She glanced over the shoulder at where Thundersnap, Cedarfrost and Cloudpaw stood, her gaze fixed on the older of the two toms. "Thundersnap wouldn't be too bad but imagine Cedarfrost being leader." She gave the other two apprentice a knowing look and a self-deprecating smile. "Yes, I know I'm a rule follower too but having him as our new leader would be one of my worst nightmares."

Brightpaw - CampBrightpaw watched as Stoatchase and his patrol left, a small sigh of relief escaping him. He did not want to be stuck on the same patrol as Rainpaw and Pikepaw. Not that he had anything against Rainpaw, though Brightpaw did get slightly uncomfortable with any talk of Okeaneos, for the most part he liked the older apprentice well enough. Pikepaw however was a different matter. While he hadn't disliked her before and had also never minded that she seemed to have a hard time paying attention his view on her had changed recently. On her own she still wasn't too bad but when she was anywhere near Rainpaw she got truly insufferable. Brightpaw did not want to deal with any of that, thank you very much. So to him it was only a good thing that Whimbrelstep hadn't joined Stoatchase, this way he and his mentor could hunt and not have to put up with Pikepaw. Speaking of his mentor, he wondered what she had planned for today. Brightpaw took a few steps away from a small group of cats so he was easier to spot and remained there for a while, glancing about once or twice as he waited.
(Yea, looks like my normally sweet and kind cat really doesn't like Pikepaw xD)

Whimbrelstep camp — accompanied by: Brightpaw she/her - warrior All of the commotion between the apprentices and Puddleheart's announcement had Whimbrelstep's head spinning. Did she want to become a leader? She wasn't so sure, but if she could raise four kits, then leadership was an option… right? The hunter shook her head and watched Stoatchase as he stuttered and made his way for the camp exit. He seems nervous, she thought, overhearing Cloudpaw’s comment. It was clear to the warrior that Cloudpaw was going to be tough on Stoatchase.
By now, many of the patrols had formed and moved on yet Whimbrelstep was standing still like a statue. It took her a few moments to realize that she wanted to try at the least, to become MyrtleClan's next leader. She may not be an amazing hunter like Stoatchase, but she was decent enough. Although the brown spotted tabby had her doubts, she was willing to try her paw at the games.
Her pale blue gaze scoured the camp for Brightpaw, her apprentice. If Whimbrelstep wanted to show she was capable of being a leader, taking care of her apprentice was a good start. "Brightpaw!" she called out, noticing the apprentice waiting aside for her-- at least she assumed he was. The brown spotted tabby hurried over to him, her gaze wild but full of determination. "We're going hunting," she told him. "Is that good with you?"

Rainpaw With Pikepaw and Fawnpaw | 𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 ; Ember34
Rainpaw took a look around the area, ear flicking in thought and tasting the air. “I don’t think most of land prey has come back yet,” he mewed, water colored eyes landing on the groves of trees behind them, “but I’m sure the tree prey is still there. We can hunt around the trees or are careful with climbing, we might be able to catch some birds or squirrels or something.”
The flood certainly washed away most of the prey like rabbit and mice, the creatures that would burrow in the ground, so the tree dwellers were they’re best bet. And besides, he’d doubt he could convince the two to seek out ponds or rivers to fish. The flood was too fresh on everyone’s minds. He glanced towards Pikepaw, waiting for some sort of snappy comment about he’s not the boss of them or something.

Ivypaw trimmed happy that Flickerpaw went along with it, tilting his head to Flickerpaw's response. " Yes Stoatchase, he cluld do well if he finds his paws," he stated, his tail flicking behind him. His frown deepening ar the criticism towards his mentor. " Shes not that dumb," he said, his tail lashing out a bit behind him. His attention shifting to his sister as she spoke. " Ew don't manifest that," he said, his gaze flicking to Cedarfrost, gods would that tom be the worst to have as a leader, they wouldn't be able to get away with anything!

Archsong thought it over before shaking out her head, that felt like Moons ago, it was hard for her to imagine that Big one was the last one. The thought of the late deputy made her feel bad for Pikepaw, though ever since his death the young she cat has been acting out more. " I just hope whoever wins will be able to lead us well," she said. A light smile formed across her face as he talked about what he and the other entertainers would be up to, listening to what her mate had to say. She loved to watch him perform, as in one of his performances he had been one of the rare cats to ever impress her, and by proxy he stole her heart. " I'll be looking forward to what you guys will have going on, i know you all will do great," she said. Her ears perked up at the mention of Sagekit, her tail twitching in thought. " Im sure that he would adore helping out." Her ears perked at the sudden noise behind her mate. Looking she soon spotted Sagekit, a light sigh passed through her lips, it was fairly early he should still be sleeping. " Mornin little one."

MINTPAW-RETURNING TO CAMP-DARKWHISPER(Pineclaw) [/font] Mintpaw returned to the camp, his fur having more leaves in his fur then normal, a proud assortment hanging from his mouth. He had left earlier in the morning determined to ensure that none of the leaves were to damaged by the flood. And to his joy none were to badly damaged and he was able to find some still in perfect shape!! The younger tom happily made his way through the camp as his clanmates left to tend to their duties, the entertainer apprentice was in no real hurry to figure out why everyone seemed to have some excitement in their pawsteps, he knew he'd find out eventually. Instead right now the only thing on his mind was to showcase his latest leaf finds to his mentor, Darkwhisper. The young tom had been working to figure out a way to incorporate leaves into his show, the idea of using them.put more spring into his step as he sought out the older tom, soon seeing him, Mintpaw broke into a run, before almost barreling into his, carefully placing the leaves on the ground. " Darkwhisper look at all the amazing leaves I've found! They were just lying on the ground!! Ánoithea must have ensured they would be in a place I could find them and that I wouldn't have to hurt any tree or bush to get them!!" His eyes shone in the excitement and happiness it always had when it came to the notion of his favorite Goddess or leaves.

Pikepaw followed after Fawnpaw, listening as the younger she cat spoke. Annoyance sweeping across her face as she glared to Rainpaw. The nerve that tom.had trying to take charge! Her gaze snapping to the cliffs, hee tail lashing out at the notion of having to go near water, but thankfully they wouldn't have to, not that she would ever agree with Rainpaw about tree prey being the best option. She would rather swear her life on the river Styx then agree with him on anything! " ,Who died and put you in charge? Oh wait we all know who, and we happen to know how one died in particular" she snapped. " I'm going to hunt on my own and meet you guys back here or back at camp!" With that she took off not bothering to wait for another word to be said within her earshot of the other two, as she took off. The nerve of Rainpaw trying to take charge, he wasn't even a full hunter yet and he still had the audacity to try order her around. She slashed at the ground with her claws, sometimes she wished she could just give him a good cuff on the ears! Keep her with the two apprentices to bully rainpaw or send her off completely on her own to run into thundersnaps patrol and begin her being manipulated by the tom, I love both ideass)

Brightpaw - Camp - Whimbrelstep (Sand )Brightpaw perked up when he heard his mentor call out to him and quickly turned towards her. He took a few steps in her direction as she hurried over and let out a delighted purr at her announcement. "Of course," he meowed, eyes shining with excitement. "Where do we go? Are we hunting land prey or fish?" He'd only been training for a moon and still had a lot to learn but so far he loved it. Some prey was harder to catch than other and while he did really well so far there were things he had to improve on too but he wasn't someone who let failures discourage him. Of course he'd love to be able to catch some really difficult prey on his own and without much issue one day but he knew one needed much practice before that and Brightpaw, while excited, was a very patient apprentice. As he waited for her to tell him where they would hunt or lead the way Brightpaw noticed her wild and determined gaze. Whimbrelstep was a good mentor to him and took his training seriously but he wondered if something else was causing her to look like that. Slowly a hopeful look appeared on his face. He'd never asked her about it before but now he dared to wonder. Was Whimbrelstep thinking about entering the games?

Sagekit - Camp, Nursery - Archsong, Goosefreckle (Ember34 , 𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 )Sagekit froze as his mother suddenly addressed him. How had she spotted him? He was so sure that he had been quiet and hidden enough! Then however he stuck his head out of the nursery again and gave the two a somewhat guilty look. It didn't last long though and his cheery smile was back. "Morning!" he meowed and this time he fully stepped out. He moved closer to Goosefreckle and pressed up against him, purring so much he was trembling. His eyes shone as he looked up at Archsong and he couldn't hold his question back any longer. "Are you really particat- partcip- ack!" he shook his head, getting too impatient to keep trying. Instead he chose to use words that weren't so long. "You'll try to become leader?!"
(When you try to sound older by using longer words but haven't used it before and are too excited. Silly little kit)

Darkwhisper - Camp - Mintpaw (Ember34 )Darkwhisper had found a shady patch to sit in after the meeting had concluded. From there he quietly observed his clanmates going about their day, some heading out for patrols, others staying behind. Some heading out on their own and others conversing. He looked up as a gentle breeze ran through his fur and watched as some treetops rustled in the wind, the branches and leaves gently swaying. In the many stories he had come up with the wind was an important messenger, whispering to those who were destined to greatness - or doom. Though none knew what it was when they first heard the wind speaking their names. Darkwhisper chuckled to himself. It was a good thing it was only in the safety of his imagination where it worked that way, that cats would hear the voices of the wind and know that fate had something in store for them. In reality such a thing would be frightening, for both the knowledge of approaching death or a way to great responsibility would make any cat afraid of the future. Darkwhisper lowered his gaze again so he was no longer watching the sky but his clanmates instead. Just as he did that he spotted Mintpaw as the young apprentice was just returning to camp. Even from where he was sitting he could tell that there were more leaves than before in his fur and he smiled fondly. He stood as Mintpaw came running and took half a step back so he wouldn't barrel into him. The second Mintpaw had placed all the leaves on the ground Darkwhisper lowered his head to take a good look. Then his eyes met Mintpaw's and he nodded. "You have really found something great there, Mintpaw" he meowed warmly. "It's not often one can find what you found without having to take them from a tree. You might want to thank Ánoithea later if you haven't already, a find like this is something to be proud of and grateful for."

Ripplefur - Camp - Open
Ripplefur slowly made her way over to the camp exit, ready to head out for some solo hunting. She had passed up the opportunity of joining Stoatchase's patrol as she preferred to hunt by herself most of the time. Usually she also was one of the first cats to leave camp, heading out just before sunrise. Today though she had had to wait but she didn't mind. After all, the games would begin soon and Ripplefur had patiently waited for the clan meeting. Now, after that was over, she was more eager than ever to enter the games. Especially after hearing that the first trial would be a hunting task. So not only was she going to head out to catch food for the clan, she was also doing this to get some extra practice to prepare herself. She'd also have to look for something to represent her that she could place in Laurelstar's nest. But while she was eager to get out of camp she paused at the exit, just in case a cat wanted to join her. She didn't want to be part of an entire patrol but she also didn't mind going with one or two other cats.
Thornfang - Camp - Open
Thornfang was watching the nest from some distance, wondering which of his clanmates were going to enter the games. He was already sure about some cats but he wanted to know who else might participate. While he would find out eventually he wanted to know as soon as possible, just so he knew what to expect and how to prepare for it. He planned on heading out later to practice his moves by himself and also to look for a symbol that would represent him. Thornfang slightly turned his head to glance towards the camp's exit where he spotted Thundersnap, Cedarfrost and Cloudpaw but he didn't go over to join them. He usually liked patrolling with them but today he wasn't in the mood for it. They already had two skilled fighters and Cloudpaw, while not having completed her training yet, was also a capable cat. So even if they ran into trouble on their patrol they could most likely handle themselves. No, someone else could join them. Thornfang would remain in camp for now but unless someone needed him for something he would head out on his own.

Mintpaw's eyes shone brighter, and he was practically bouncing on his paws in his excitement as Darkwhisper inspected the leaves. The tom getting even happier as he nodded his head frantically. " I will dont worry!! Ill make sure i give her the best offering possible as thanks!!" The tom could barely contain his excitement as he carefully gathered up the leaves once more, bolting off briefly to place them in his nest for safe keeping, before racing back to Darkwhisper. " So what was going on? Coukd we train some today? Did you sleep well? I've been struggling abit, but I'm sure it will pass!! Have you seen anything cool lately?" The series of questions flew from Mintpaw, not ever pausing to wait for an answer before he had asked his next one. As he asked his last one, he finally paused and looked at his mentor waiting for any answers the older tom might have to them. His attention snapping momentarily from Darkwhisper as Fletchlingtail walked by, tilting his head to the side in quiet thought, before remembering that he had asked his mentor some very important questions...or were they? Mintpaw shook out his head he was sure that they were very important questions!

Thundersnap Camp | With Cedarfrost & Cloudpaw (Pineclaw) Thundersnap eyed Cedarfrost curiously when he expressed some doubt in Puddleheart. He knew the older tom was a stickler for tradition, and more than that, he didn’t think as highly of cats born outside the clan. Of course, Puddleheart was supposed to be the exception, wasn’t he? Chosen by the gods and brought to the clan by the age old medicine cat.
Who could voice their concerns over that?
Still, sensing the doubt from Cedarfrost was good. Thundersnap knew Puddleheart would choose correctly, as he couldn’t defy the gods, but it was still good to know that Puddleheart was far from beloved in the clan.
Shifting his focus, Thundersnap looked down at Cloudpaw as she told him he would have her support and he purred. ”Thank you, Cloudpaw, you’re going to make an excellent warrior soon,” he told her and cast one last look around the camp to see if anyone else would be joining them. It didn’t look like it though, and Thundersnap flicked his tail.
”Let’s go,” he decided, padding out of camp. ”I think everyone else is a bit too distracted to worry about a patrol.”

Mothflutter Mothflutter tipped his head to the side as he watched Stoatchase. He seemed really nervous, and Mothflutter hoped it wasn’t because of him, he would hate to intimidate his fellow clan mate.
So, to try and calm some of Stoatchase’s nerves, Mothflutter let out a friendly purr and a flick of his tail. ”With all of us hunters doing our part, the camp will be back to its usual amount of prey in no time,” he reassured and gently bumped his shoulder against Stoatchase’s. ”I don’t think hunting through the night will be necessary, but if it is, I’ll join you!” he added optimistically.
Maybe Stoatchase just needed a friend, and that was something Mothflutter liked to think he could be. ”That way, we can catch double the amount of prey.”

Puddleheart Puddleheart bent his ears back when Heronflight showed up and quickly agreed with Honeydusk. A weird surge of panic jolted through him and he fidgeted nervously, pawing at the ground as he avoided eye contact with either of the elders. ”I…I don’t—“ he cut himself off. What was he supposed to say?
He didn’t want any escorts? He didn’t even have a good reason for that. He couldn’t just say that interacting with his clanmates one on one like that, when it wasn’t a medical issue, made him nervous. He couldn’t explain that his entire apprenticeship had been spent so isolated from the rest of his peers that he now had no idea how to interact with them.
That wasn’t a good enough reason and Puddleheart knew it.
Then, Cloverpounce approached and offered to go with him and Puddleheart instantly snapped his attention toward her, gulping down his nerves. He liked Cloverpounce, she was a bright and cheerful fighter, but Puddleheart had rarely talked to her one on one. Still, he didn’t refuse, instead he pawed at the ground a little more and sighed.
”Alright,” Puddleheart finally agreed. ”If you’re sure it won’t inconvenience you, then I’d appreciate the escort,” he told Cloverpounce, not looking up at her as he got to his feet.
He sent Honeydusk and Heronflight a look. ”There, happy?” He questioned and turned around. ”We need to leave soon so we can make it back in time for the first trial,” Puddleheart added, calling out to Cloverpounce. ”If you need to eat, do so now, I’ll be waiting near the entrance,” Puddleheart finished and quickly padded away, sitting down near the entrance.
As soon as he was alone, Puddleheart sighed and looked down. ”Well, that was a disaster…” He muttered as his mind replayed how snippy he had been. He didn’t mean to come across that way, his defenses had just raised and panic pricked at his stomach. Still though, he hadn’t exactly put on a friendly front. He was doing a poor job of getting his clanmates to like him, that was for sure.

Honeydusk Honeydusk sighed as she watched Puddleheart pad away, shaking her head softly. ”He is still so young,” she mused quietly. It was such a change from what Honeydusk had been used to during her time as a warrior. Pomegranatefur had always been there, even when Honeydusk was a kit. She had never known a time without the old medicine cat, in all her cranky yet wise glory.
Part of Honeydusk had once believed Pomegranatefur to be invincible, but now she thought that perhaps the medicine cat’s life had been preserved by the gods until a proper replacement could take her place. The gods had chosen Puddleheart, and Honeydusk had to believe it was for a reason.
Still, he was young and he had not made many friends yet and that was a skill he would have to learn eventually.
She shook her head and glanced toward Heronflight. ”He’ll need our help if he’s to host the games,” she mused.

Fawnpaw Fawnpaw had been ready to agree with Rainpaw and suggest they start listening for birds when Pikepaw spoke up. She blinked in surprise when Pikepaw snapped at Rainpaw and quickly looked between the two.
She wasn’t really sure what was going on there or why Pikepaw was so mad at Rainpaw, or even why she had offered to join them all if she was just going to go off on her own anyway, but Fawnpaw did know that clearly there was some tension going on.
”Pikepaw! You can’t just leave! We need to tell the hunters! Mothflutter and Stoatchase haven’t caught up yet!” She called out to the other apprentice, unsure if she had heard her.
After a moment, Fawnpaw sighed and shook her head, glancing back at Rainpaw, awkwardly shuffling her feet. ”Um, I’m sure she’d just….cranky and didn’t mean any of that,” she offered, looking away. ”And uh, for what it’s worth, I thought your idea was a good one.”

Heronflight - Camp - Honeydusk (𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 ), briefly with Puddleheart and Cloverpounce (lepidopteran )Heronflight just looked at Puddleheart as he tried to contradict them but said nothing. But words weren't necessary, the look she gave him was enough to tell him that neither she nor Honeydusk would accept any excuses, no matter what kind of justification he came up with for refusing to take an escort. However a smile came to her face when Cloverpounce approached. She gave a nod of approval and shot Cloverpounce a grateful look. "I know he doesn't have the easiest time being around his clanmates but it really is for the best if he gets better acquainted with others," she said. "If he's closed off or awkward when you accompany him don't take it to heart, no one can expect him to suddenly become more social. But don't let us keep you here. He's right, you should head out now." She let out a light purr and dipped her head to the younger cat. At Honeydusk's words she nodded with a sigh. "A cat his age shouldn't have so much responsibility. Even an older and more experienced cat would be struggling under the weight." Puddleheart had become MyrtleClan's sole medicine cat too soon and Pomegranatefur had taken on an apprentice too late. Heronflight had always respected the old medicine cat but as she herself had grown up she had become uneasy with Pomegranatefur's refusal to train an apprentice. She could only guess at her reasons and perhaps the time was never right or no one in the clan was meant to be a medicine cat. Who besides Pomegranatefur could say? But whatever her or the gods reasons, him having been trained so late into her life had put him in a truly tough spot now. "He will and we shall help him as best as we can," Heronflight agreed. "We will have a lot to talk about once he is back. He'll need our advice and knowledge and together we have to make sure that he is ready for this. We cannot fail our clan nor anger the gods so we have to do this right."

Goosefreckle Goosefreckle purred as he looked at Archsong. ”Well, I’m sure if you choose to enter, you’ll be chosen as leader,” he bragged, proudly puffing out his chest. ”Skilled, brave, smart, and of course you’re also the most beautiful cat in the clan,” Goosefreckle smiled flirtatiously at her. ”I can think of no one better to lead us.”
He paused for a second, flicking his tail. ”Besides, then I’ll get to brag to the entire clan about my mate: Archstar, and share poems of your leadership!” Goosefreckle added with a light chuckle.
Even if Archsong chose not to compete, Goosefreckle would still recite poetry after her. She was his muse, and she was a muse even Poíisithea could not compete with.
Then Archsong called for Sagekit and Goosefreckle turned to watch as their youngest padded out of the nursery.
Goosefreckle purred in greeting and leaned down to lick Sagekit’s head, grooming some of the ruffled up fur down. ”Good morning, Sagekit,” he greeted happily. ”I hope you slept well, we’ve got so much excitement to look forward to today, you’ll need your energy.”

Sablefrost Camp | With no one (Sand) After the meeting had gone to an end and the clan split up to go about their day, Sablefrost lingered back, hovering in the shadows as she settled into a watchful position. She often preferred staying the shadows, content to watch and pick up on different interactions from her clanmates. Truthfully, Sablefrost was far from social and she preferred the shadows and the solitude that came with them.
That was why she had chosen to be a scout. A scout’s job was far different from that of a fighter or a hunter. While they broke off into groups to patrol the territory, defend the clan, and hunt for others, a scout’s job was much more subtle. Cats of the night, the scouts operated under the moon and Sablefrost frequently found herself praying to Nýchthea for guidance.
For a moment, Sablefrost flicked her gaze to Laurelstar’s nest. She had a hunch that her young apprentice was going to try something and would have to keep an eye on Flickerpaw, who now seemed to be conversing with Ivypaw and Antlerpaw. She didn’t trust Ivypaw to act as a voice of reason, but hopefully Antlerpaw would. He seemed to be a reasonable sort.
Sablefrost focused back on the nest. Should she enter the games? Sablefrost shifted uncomfortable, resting her tail over her paws. She had never considered herself much of a leader, but…maybe…no. No, it would be foolish of her to enter. She would make a terrible leader.
As she kept looking around, Sablefrost’s eyes then landed on Cloverpounce as the molly spoke with the elders and Puddleheart. She was still so cheerful, even after everything that happened, even after losing her own mother, and Sablefrost felt an odd flutter in her stomach.
She frowned, glaring at her stomach. ”You stop that,” she whispered. ”She doesn’t even know I exist,” Sablefrost reminded herself and shook her head, forcing her gaze away from Cloverpounce as she studied the rest of the clan and quickly realized that one cat in particular was missing.
Her nephew and surrogate son after Silhouettewing’s unfortunate passing.
Sablefrost sighed and shook her head. ”Now where did Pantherprowl go?” she whispered to herself.

Pearlfeather Camp | With no one (@open) Pearlfeather listened as the camp buzzed with life. Apprentices giggling about putting their names in the running for leader, while mates shared their affection and greeted their kit. Elders spoke of things much more serious and cats left to go get a token of their own.
Pearlfeather loved listening to it all, it gave her an idea on what the clan wanted to hear so she could work her magic and make it happen later on. Her sense of hearing had always been quite clear and precise, often picking out on things Pearlfeather doubted the rest of the clan wanted her knowing. It was alright, she had sworn an oath to Sofiathea to keep the clans secrets, to never let what she heard be shared other than in the form of art.
Art was the biggest look into the soul of not only the creator but of those she created for, and Pearlfeather was no different. She may use what she heard to orchestrate a grand vision, but she would never share these words with a single soul. Not even Mothflutter.
For now though, Pearlfeather sat outside the entertainer’s stage, head tipped to the side and mind buzzing as she listened to her clanmates chatter away.

Honeydusk Honeydusk nodded in agreement to Heronflight. She could not recall a time in her entire life that MyrtleClan was left so weakened as it was now. Both leader and deputy gone in one foul swipe, and a medicine cat who had not yet even hit courting age. He was still a kit in everything but name, and yet the entire clan rested on his shoulders.
It would be a lot for anyone to handle.
”While he is gone, we should do our best to keep order in the camp,” Honeydusk decided. ”Laurelstar’s nest will fill by tonight, and the entertainers will surely have a performance to share, but until then, there is still much to do.” In a way, Honeydusk felt as if she had picked a truly awful time to retire, as she had been a senior warrior only a few moons ago, and now, here she was, fresh to the elders den and still tending to the clan as if she wasn’t.
She didn’t mind, not truly, Laurelstar had been a dear friend of hers, someone she had grown up with. Honeydusk would do anything to honor her name.

RainpawWith Fawnpaw and Pikepaw | 𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 ; Ember34 “Leave her,” Rainpaw snarled as he watched the white coated apprentice stomp off, voice raised high enough for Pikepaw to hear him, “If she wants to disobey orders from warriors and get herself in danger, she can go ahead! Don’t come mewling back to us if you get scared or in trouble! You won’t get sympathy from me!”Hanging his head, he let out a puff of air. Deep breaths. Don’t let her get to you.The feeling of eyes on him brought him back to himself and he turned his head to see Fawnpaw staring at him with her big amber eyes. There was an expression on her face that he couldn’t make out. Sympathy? Pity? Whatever, he’s not going to let Pikepaw ruin his mood any further nor his hunting. He flashed her a soft, small smile when the younger apprentice liked his idea for where they should hunt. At least someone’s on my side…

Whimbrelstep camp -> outside of camp — accompanied by: Brightpaw she/her - warrior Whimbrelstep was beyond grateful to have Brightpaw as her apprentice. He was a patient feline and didn't seem to cause too much trouble– at least that she knew of. Compared to her own kits, she wasn't so sure that they were well behaved.
As she thought about the cream tabby's question, she knew that Brightpaw had yet to hunt any fish. She had shown him the best fishing spot in MyrtleClan's territory in the past though the young apprentice needed to learn. "Let's try fish this time. I don't think I have taken you out to fish lately," Whimbrelstep meowed to Brightpaw before pausing.
The brown spotted tabby she-cat wasn't sure if she should tell Brightpaw about her plans to join the games. He may just be an apprentice to some, but an apprentice's support was decent enough, especially when no cat knew of her desire to join. Surely she could gain more supporters if she spread the word. The hunter stretched her limbs out before padding off to the camp exit. "Come on, Brightpaw! Hunting shouldn't take us all day, I'm sure we'll be faster than Stoatchase's patrol," Whimbrelstep mewed playfully, trying to keep a positive attitude despite her lingering thoughts.

Pantherprowl camp — accompanied by: Sablefrost he/him - hunter It really wasn't fair, it just wasn't fair! Pantherprowl was, per usual, annoyed that he couldn't become the next leader of MyrtleClan. He had watched Sablefrost step forward and hesitate for what seemed like forever. He couldn't understand why his aunt wasn't confident enough in herself– Sablefrost was an intelligent, observant feline. She had plenty of skills to be MyrtleClan's leader just like he did.
Except for the fact he was too young and didn't have an apprentice, of course. Though those were trivial details, ones that others shouldn't care about.
He also wondered if Puddleheart enjoyed his five minutes of fame as it seemed like the medicine cat didn't. It was no surprise to the hunter and he let out a snort. The elders and Cloverpounce were surrounding the young tabby as if he were a king, how ridiculous! His bright green gaze searched the camp for his surrogate mother, desperate to do something else. He'd do anything at this point.
Pantherprowl noticed Sablefrost, whose maw was moving but he couldn't discern what she was saying to herself. He padded casually towards her before stopping behind the black smoke molly. "Heya, Sablefrost! If you're not going to run for leader, can I?" he0 meowed loudly on purpose. "But no, really, I want to be our next leader. I think I'd make for a great leader, don't you?"

Torrentwing camp — accompanied by: Orchidbloom he/him - elder Whilst his mate, Honeydusk, was busy with Heronflight, Torrentwing had chosen to back off. Maybe he and another elder could help out in another way, one that didn't require him to surround a tense young cat. That reminded him of Orchidbloom, a fellow elder and former scout. They two were four moons apart, but Torrentwing knew him well enough to consider him friendly.
The grey classic tabby tom glanced around the elders' den for Orchidbloom, looking for his familiar lilac tortoiseshell coat. His green-yellow eyes narrowed as he pondered the fact that maybe Orchidbloom was elsewhere. "Orchidbloom? You around?" he asked, raising his voice so the former scout could hear him.

Nectardrop camp clearing — accompanied by: open she/her - scout Nectardrop, as sweet as she was, felt slightly worried for Thundersnap. She was confident in her half-brother's skills that he could easily become their new leader. Her worries simply stemmed from nothingness– it was clear that Thundersnap had everything under control. Yet the pale bengal she-cat wondered what she could do to help Thundersnap. Did he even need her help? He was older, more experienced and smarter for sure. Why would he want the help of a young scout? Distracted, she stood near the camp clearing as patrols left the camp quickly. Nectardrop needed to get her mind off of the games and trust her half sibling fully.

Sealtooth camp — accompanied by: open he/him - fighter Sealtooth was convinced he could compete against Thundersnap and Stoatchase. Although he only had one previous apprentice, he was still eligible to join the games. Motivation surged through the colorpoint tom as he noticed that Thundersnap already had a patrol of his own. Surely not every cat would support him immediately. At least he wished they wouldn't because they were better candidates out there like himself. The fighter stalked away from where the clan had gathered. He needed to think fast if he stood any chance of winning.

Marigoldskip • Camp • with Pearlfeather (𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 )
Marigoldskip pranced around the clearing humming a tune, striped tail bobbing behind in rhythm. The clan was in high spirits today, and it gave the patched molly a surge of fresh inspiration. If only she can find someone to talk to about their ideas…
Her hazel eyes scanned the clearing; it seemed just about every cat was busy! She noted Darkwhisper in conversation with his apprentice Mintpaw, although she couldn't really tell if it was playful or serious. It was probably best not to intervene.
Approaching the stage now, Marigoldskip noticed a white, almost ghostly figure resting by the slab of rock. Her eyes settled curiously onto Pearlfeather’s blind ones. The bright tune carried onward as she spoke.
“My, Pearlfeather! Seems like the games have kept everyone on their toes! Perhaps we should get to work on a new show before competition starts! You think Goosefreckle could take some time off with Sagekit and serenade us with a sonnet?,” Marigoldskip ended with an amused purr; she’d certainly give the Muses a performance they won't forget!

Darkwhisper - Camp - Mintpaw (Ember34)Darkwhisper gave a small purr of approval as Mintpaw assured him that he'd properly thank Ánoithea later. He waited for him to store his leaves and soon the apprentice was back. With a soft chuckle he listened to Mintpaw's barrage of questions but keeping track of all of them so he wouldn't leave out anything once the exuberant tom was done. "Alright, Mintpaw, that's quite a few questions you've got there," he laughed. "Let's see then. I slept quite well, thank you. I hope whatever is keeping you from getting a good night's rest will not last for too long. If you have any idea what might be keeping you then feel free to tell me or one of the other apprentices though. I don't know if we can help you but sometimes it's already a good start to get your thoughts out." With that out of the way Darkwhisper moved on to Mintpaw's other questions. Most if not all of them couls be answered with one and the same thing. Darkwhisper sat down and wrapped his tail around his paws, indicating with a small nod for Mintpaw to settle down as well. "Puddleheart just held a clan meeting," he told him. "As you have surely already heard, the games are about to begin. All who are going to participate are supposed to find something to represent them and place that token in Laurelstar's nest over there." He jerked his head towards where the nest had been placed and then went on. "And while everyone thinks about whether to enter or not and goes out to find their tokens we will have plenty to do as well. No, not just then." His smile widened and he fixed his gaze directly at Mintpaw. "We and the other entertainers will be hard at work the next few days. An event as important as this needs a show that does it justice, don't you think? So I'd say that is the most exciting thing I've- well, not seen, but heard off today."

(I was going to make a normal starter for Paleflame but it became a post for her and Thornfang instead. Both are free now though)
Thornfang - Camp -> outside camp - Getting annoyed by Paleflame, both open afterwards (Pale in camp and Thorn outside)
Thornfang eventually got up to leave as well, though to go out on his own. But no sooner had he sat one paw in that direction he heard the sound of pawsteps behind him. Even before he turned around to face the other cat he knew who it was and he was not pleased to see her in the slightest.
The scout met his gaze and stepped closer, her fur brushing his as she took a few more steps. "Hey there, handsome," she purred and while her smile seemed sincere he could see it in her eyes that she was all but smirking. "Leaving all by yourself? You could have some company if you want."
Thornfang shoved her aside with a small hiss and a glare. "Get lost, Paleflame," he growled. "Why don't you go bother someone else? There are plenty of cats here."
Paleflame no longer bothered hiding her smirk and stepped closer again. "You know why," she purred and Thornfang let out a sigh. Ever since Paleflame had caught wind of how he saw those who weren't fighters as inferior she had made it her mission to be extra annoying to him. Whenever she had the chance she would come over to him and go way over the top with her teasing and flirting, knowing full well how much he hated it. With others she'd tone it down or stop altogether if it bothered them but no such luck for cats she despised. And today the clan meeting had assured that they both were in camp, something Paleflame seemed all too delighted by. Just now her smirk turned into a pleasant smile again but Thornfang wasn't fooled. "Come one, we could get to know each other better. I can tell you all about what we do so you'll realise that us scouts and you fighters aren't all that different," she meowed sweetly. She shoved her face closer to his and he pulled back with another hiss. "And I mean we can really get to know each other. Just share our thought, our experiences and come to an... understanding." The last word she whispered almost seductively and Thornfang turned away from her, his (almost non-existent) patience wearing thin.
"Just leave me alone," he grunted. "Like I'd ever spend time with you scouts or those entertainers if I don't have to. Besides, I have better things to do than stand here and listen to you"
Paleflame walked a few steps around him so she was facing him again, eyes lighting up when he slightly turned his head, her smile growing more infuriating each second. "Oh, I see. You're going out to look for a fitting token for you," she meowed in mock surprise, as if she'd had just figured out that Thornfang intended to participate in the games. "Well, I could help you with that. Something that everyone can tell at first glance that it represents you. Why, I know just the perfect token for you and I'll even give it to you if you ask nicely." At the last words she winked at him.
"I swear, Paleflame, if you say 'a kit'-"
"Of course not, silly," she laughed. "You need your symbol today, not in a few moons. Use your head, will ya?" She raised a paw and patted the top of his head twice before setting it down again. "No, I'm talking about some chestnut peel. Without the chestnut of course. It has to be prickly and empty, after all. Just like you, my dear."
Thornfang closed his eyes and let out a deep breath, a last attempt at calming down though all he wanted was to claw that infuriating smirk off her face. He knew it was no use but he still tried to keep his voice level, to not show her his anger but he knew she had already gotten what she wanted. "Look, I am a patient cat-"
"Ha!"
"Ugh just shut up alright?!" he snarled and spun around, eyes fixed on the camp's exit.
"Aww, don't be like that, Thorny," Paleflame meowed gleefully and Thornfang's head whipped back around to her, eyes blazing and teeth bared.
"Don't. Call. Me. That!" he hissed at her, each word full of rage. But if he had hoped she would be intimidated by that he was sorely mistaken. Not only didn't she flinch at his glare and words, she seemed even more delighted at his reaction. Thornfang had had enough. With a loud, frustrated "Argh!" he turned his gaze back to the exit and stormed out. After a few tail-lengths he stopped and looked back. Good. Paleflame wasn't following him. But it also meant he wouldn't be returning to camp for a while. But that was fine by him, he had to find something to put in Laurelstar's nest anyway. He only needed to make sure to be back before the deadline. (I promise Paleflame isn't going to be like this with everyone else, she only does this to those she really dislikes. With everyone else she respects their boundaries and backs off when they don't like her teasing or flirting. Also, with others it's much lighter. In her form I said she'd be passive-aggressive with those she dislikes but looks like she can also be just extra annoying to them. Oh well, at least I learned something new about her...?)
