ARCHSONG-CAMP-EVERYONE, (mentioned) GOOSEFRECKLE(𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 ) [/font][/b][/div] Archsong couldn't help but dig her claws slightly into the earth, she had heard of the games, and every part of her desired to join, to be able to show her abilities, and the possibility of being the next leader or deputy was a tempting reason to participate further. Plus the she cat, while she loved her family…as well as she could, she hated the nursery and the life that came with it. She shook out her fur as she stood, the question was….would they even let her participate with Sagekit being so young? Her ear flicked at the thought of her sole kit of her latest litter, the deaths of his littermates was still something that was bothering the she cat, had she done something wrong? Shaking out her head she forced those thoughts out of her mind. Her gaze flickered over her clanmates till her gaze landed on a certain entertainer, her mate, Goosefreckle. Seeing the tom eased the she cat's thoughts, carefully moving amongst her clanmates keeping her attention towards Puddleheart in case the medicine cat had anything else, she made her way to him.

Puddleheart Camp | With Honeydusk (@open) Puddleheart breathed a sigh of relief when the Clan began to disperse, going off in hunting parties and border patrols. It gave him a sense of reassurance to know the Clan could continue on with the daily activities of everything they needed, even without a leader present.
However, hopefully soon, they'd have a leader as well.
Hopping down from Lightning Rock, Puddleheart looked over the cats mingling in the clearing before he spotted Honeydusk sitting outside the elder's den. He blinked and quickly walked over to her. "Honeydusk," Puddleheart greeted. "Now that everything is settled, I plan on visiting the Alter of the Stars to pray to the gods, I'll be back before sunset."
Honeydusk flicked her large, fluffy tail as she eyed him. "Hmmph, so not even a hello from the young medicine cat before you're off again?" She questioned, shaking her head. "Pomegranatefur taught you better than that."
Puddleheart bent his ears down as he shuffled his feet. "Sorry," he apologized quickly, staring at his white paws before he looked back up at the elder. "I meant no offense, I promise. I just think it is important not to waste the time we have. I need to be back in time to start the first trial, so I need to leave now," he explained.
Honeydusk hummed quietly and then nodded. "You're smart to visit the Alter," she agreed and Puddleheart exhaled in relief. "But you are foolish to go alone," she added.
Puddleheart made a face, scrunching up his nose in protest. "I'm a medicine cat, the gods protect me, I'll be fine," he objected.
Honeydusk sent him a look. "The gods only protect you from mortal harm. No cat nor predator can harm you, but that does not mean you are infallible. You are MyrtleClan's only guidance right now, we cannot afford to lose you."
"It's just to the Alter, I'm fine--"
"Take an escort," Honeydusk ordered calmly, leaving no room to argue. "Besides, it will be good for you to actually get to know your clanmates," she added and flicked her ears. "Even medicine cats need to make friends."
Puddleheart frowned. He'd rather go by himself. Addressing the Clan from atop Lightning Rock was one thing, but to spend the entire afternoon with one of them with nothing to do but talk until they got to the Alter was something else entirely.
"Who am I supposed to ask?" Puddleheart objected softly. "The Clan is busy with patrols and hunting and preparing for the games, none of them have time to escort me."

(First starters, I'll do everyone else later. I apologize in advance for how those two behave xD I'm so sorry Stoatchase, not all of my cats are such jerks to you!) Cedarfrost - Camp - Everyone, ThundersnapCedarfrost gave a slight nod when Thundersnap stepped forward to volunteer for leading a border patrol. He supposed he could join this one and he would head over to the entrance once the meeting was over. Next Stoatchase spoke up and Cedarfrost let out a small huff of annoyance, though quietly enough that only those right next to him could hear. He never had much patience with cats like him but aside from occasional snorts or similar reactions Cedarfrost didn't do much to show his dislike. Besides, he did respect Stoatchase as a hunter even if Cedarfrost only showed this by giving him a curt nod of acknowledgement every now and then. He was a bit more willing to give some words of praise to his fellow fighters but working with them also meant that he would criticise them whenever he saw them making even a small mistake. Once everything was said and done Cedarfrost walked over to the camp's entrance. He dipped his head to Thundersnap and rumbled a greeting. Then he meowed "I'll be joining your patrol." Cloudpaw - Camp - Everyone, ThundersnapCloudpaw was only half listening, only really caring about the patrols. The games were interesting to her too but since she was only an apprentice she couldn't participate and that was enough to make her not care quite as much. She did hope some of the older fighters would participate. To her only one of them would make for a good leader. She glanced over at Thundersnap. Was he going to try to become the next leader? Surely he did. Cloudpaw would be disappointed otherwise. She considered asking him once his patrol headed out after the meeting was over but she figured that she wouldn't have to. He'd probably consider it a dumb question anyway. Her thoughts got interrupted when Puddleheart asked for a hunting patrol and Stoatchase stepped up. She narrowed her eyes at him and the more he spoke, or tried to, the more her look became a glare of contempt. How hard was it for him to just say that he'd lead the hunting patrol? Hopefully he wouldn't join the games. Cloudpaw was sure he wouldn't stand a chance anyway but him participating would be an insult to all the other, more capable cats. When the meeting was finally over Cloudpaw jumped to her paws and walked over to Thundersnap, arriving shortly after Cedarfrost. "I'll join too, unless you have something else for me," she meowed to Thundersnap.
(Once again, I'm sorry, Stoatchase! None of my other characters will be mean to you, I swear!)

Fawnpaw After the meeting was over, Fawnpaw smirked, her eyes locked on Laurelstar’s nest. She knew she couldn’t compete since she was just an apprentice, but if Ivypaw was going to support his mentor in all of this, Fawnpaw wanted to support hers.
She was vaguely aware of Flickerpaw joining them, but now she was on a mission. ”I’m gonna join Stoatchase’s hunting party,” Fawnpaw decided loudly, looking back at her brother and Flickerpaw. ”And I’m gonna convince him to join the games!”
With that settled, Fawnpaw bounded after her mentor, watching as Mothflutter also walked over to join him.
By the time Fawnpaw got there, she heard Mothflutter say something about joining the hunting party, but she chose to ignore him, beaming up at Stoatchase instead. ”Stoatchase, can I go on the hunting party with you?” she asked excitedly.

Stoatchase Mentally making himself not flinch at the sudden, but of course familiar, voice of his apprentice, Stoatchase turned to look at her, yellow eyes a but confused. “Erm.. well- well yes, uh yes. Of- of course, uh..” He wanted to say she was always welcome to come with him, that she didn’t even need to ask, but his voice died in his throat– was that weird to say? He shifted his weight from paw to paw, and nodded. “Um.. going– gonna go uh.. Going to the um..” He flicked his tail towards the entrance. “The uh..the cliffs.. If it’s- if it’s okay with you..” He glanced up to the other cats joining, Mothflutter and Rainpaw. He never liked being the one to be the ‘leader’ of patrols, and usually just… went off on his own. He couldn’t really do that as much now that he had Fawnpaw, but her presence wasn’t as anxiety-inducing as other cats’. Silently, feeling he had already made a fool of himself just by opening his jaws, he began slinking off towards the woods. Hunting would take his mind off things. It always did.

Rainpaw trotted after his mentor, glancing around the camp as he did so. He managed to catch sight of Archsong looking in deep thought at Laurelstar’s bedding. Was she… was she planning on joining the games? The idea made him somewhat conflicted. Would he support his fellow hunters should any of them join, or was he obligated to root for his mother? Perhaps he’ll have to wait and see what happens.
Nearly running into Mothflutter, the mottled gray apprentice joined up with the rest of the patrol just as Stoatchase was sputtering a response to his apprentice, Fawnpaw. He always felt bad for Stoatchase. The tom never really seemed comfortable whenever he was with anyone and no doubt that being assigned to train someone as mischievous as her must’ve really thrown him for a loop.

Pikepaw flicked her tail and headed where the other hunters were, the she cat didn't have a mentor so it wasn't like she needed to go and ask for permission before heading off on a whim. She eyed the other cats that were gathering, her gaze narrowing to Rainpaw, before giving a roll of her eyes, she hoped that he at least would be useful hunting then he was during the storm. " Will it be alright if I join," she asked Mothflutter, pointedly ignoring that Stoatchase was the one leading, as the tom looked like he was dealing with trying to figure out other things in regards to the patrol and she just wasn't going to bother causing him more distress. Her tail flicking behind her as she wanted for a response, she really didn't just want to be sitting around in camp when she could be doing other things at the moment. Rainpaw don't worry arch would understand if he wanted to cheer on hunters going as he would have gotten close to them, and she'd want it to be his decision on how he roots for) Ivypaw watched as the cats dispersed tending to tasks as the meeting concluded, his gaze flickering to Fawnpaw as she announced her desire to join her mentor's hunting patrol and trying to convince him to participate in the games. " Good luck with both of those, I know you'll catch the biggest prey out of that whole patrol, and im sure you’ll be able to get him to join," he said, smiling as she bounded off. He moved his gaze to Flickerpaw. " What about you, what are you planning to do?" He might try and see if he could get on the border patrol if it wasn't to late, though maybe Cloverppunce had other plans for them, or he could try and see if she was going to join the games! The tom looked around thr camp before spotting the she cat in question amongst the cats, his tail flicking in thought.

Goosefreckle Goosefreckle loved the games. Even if he couldn’t participate, he found them exciting. Besides, he knew that as an entertainer, he would have a part to play in the games as well. He should talk to Pearlfeather and Volestalk and all the other entertainers to see what their plan was. Of course, it would also be a good idea to discuss it with the elders and even Puddleheart.
However, before he let himself get too excited, Goosefreckle reminded himself that there would be plenty of time to discuss things later. For now, he sat outside the nursery, watching everyone else. Sagekit was still inside, and Goosefreckle knew that before he did anything with the entertainers, he needed to watch over Sagekit.
He paused, his ears perking as Archsong padded over to him and Goosefreckle quickly got to his feet and purred in greeting to his mate. ”Archsong, my love, good morning!” Goosefreckle greeted and gently bumped his head against her. ”Exciting news about the games, isn’t it?”

Flickerpaw Flickerpaw looked to Ivypaw with a mischievous grin on her face. “Weelll…” She dragged out the word before leaning closer, eyes alight with excitement. “I think I’m gonna sneak something of mine into the nest.” She leaned back, smiling like she was the smartest cat in the Clan. “Sablefrost told me I wasn’t allowed, that apprentices can’t become leader, but I could still participate, couldn’t I?” She licked down the short fur on her chest. “And anyways, it’ll be good practice for when I actually decide to try and become leader when I’m older!” She looked around to see if anyone else was watching, then conspiratorially whispered. “I can sneak something for you too. Surely if we put something in, they can’t deny us taking part, right? I mean, it’s the Gods will and all.." “Just have to figure out what to put in… and how to avoid being seen putting it in there…”

Thundersnap Camp | With Cedarfrost & Cloudpaw (Pineclaw) Thundersnap watched with careful eyes as cats moved around the camp and his gaze lingered on Laurelstar’s nest. He knew the moment the games were first spoken of that he was going to participate and that he was going to win. Becoming leader was his destiny, his purpose, his gods given right and he could tell that this was what Astraeos wanted.
Perhaps the storm—however tragic it may have been, was a call from the gods. A call that a new leader was needed. Someone strong, someone youthful, and someone with divine blood running through their veins.
Thundersnap was that someone and now was his chance to prove it.
For a moment, Thundersnap trailed his eyes toward Puddleheart instead, watching the young medicine cat protest something Honeydusk suggested. Puddleheart was young and perhaps a bit too inexperienced to truly handle this, but Thundersnap knew that his real ticket to leadership wasn’t going to be the trials—though he would do his best in those too— it was through the medicine cat.
So long as he ensured Puddleheart knew who the best choice for leader was, the rest of the games only partially mattered.
Still, before he could do anything, first he needed to lead a patrol.
Thundersnap flicked his ears in greeting to Cedarfrost, glad to see the fighter joining him. ”Cedarfrost, glad to have you here,” he said and paused for a second to glance back at the nest. ”Tell me, friend, are you going to be competing in the games?” he asked curiously.
Perhaps Cedarfrost would make a fine deputy for Thundersnap one day, even if he wouldn’t be leader.
Thundersnap paused when he spotted his apprentice coming over to join them and purred warmly at Cloudpaw. ”Of course you can join us,” he promised. ”I would expect nothing less from my apprentice.”

Mothflutter Well, it seemed to Mothflutter that they had a decent sized hunting group ready to strike out and catch some food. So he patiently waited for Stoatchase to decide where they would all go. He was struggling a bit, and Mothflutter felt a little bad for him.
”The cliffs sound great,” he said helpfully and nodded to Stoatchase. ”Good choice.”
However, Mothflutter paused slightly when Pikepaw walked over to join them and smiled at the apprentice. He hadn’t seen much of her in recent days, and he understood why. Much like Cloverpounce, Pikepaw had also lost someone important to her. Mothflutter knew how painful it was to lose a parent and couldn’t help but hurt for the apprentice.
So when she asked to join, he happily nodded. ”Of course you can join. The more the merrier!” He purred out and glanced back at Stoatchase. ”Right Stoatchase?”

Cedarfrost - Camp - Thundersnap, Couldpaw
Cedarfrost gave a light chuckle at Thundersnap's question. "I plan to," he said. "If someone has to lead the clan they should at least have to be able to best me." He didn't really consider himself to be leader material, he had always wanted to do his best as a fighter for his clan. But he had to make sure that whoever won this competition would be a worthy leader and if he did end up winning, well... then maybe he was the best option after all. Not that he worried too much about it, there were some cats he had high hopes for. He wouldn't make it easy for them though. Only if he did his best could he be sure that they were worthy. Besides, anything less would be an insult to the other participants. "You will enter as well, I assume?" he asked. "Then these will be quite some interesting games indeed."
Cloudpaw purred at her mentor's greeting and gave a respectful nod to Cedarfrost. At the mention of the games she perked up, curious if either of them were going to enter. At Cedarfrost's question she glanced at Thundersnap and then back at the other fighter. "I hope so," she meowed. "We need our best to represent us fighters, after all. So you two really should participate."

Stoatchase Stoatchase nodded stiffly. He appreciated having Mothflutter there. Having someone who could actually express their thoughts and such was very helpful. Besides, his presence was a rather calming, more caring than others. And he was a good hunter, a skill Stoatchase very much admired. He continued talking though then realized he hadn't actually said anything. “Uh.. yes.. more merrier.” he muttered, but was already distracted, looking out through the olive trees and sniffing the air. Eyes starting to dilate a bit, he kept himself from just darting off after the first prey he smelled. It wasn't polite to just run off and leave people behind. He grit his teeth, already envisioning stalking behind some small animal, tensing like a coiled spring before pouncing, dealing a quick killing blow and– He blinked, realizing he had paused where he was walking. He hurriedly continued on, that coppery taste already on his tongue.

Rainpaw couldn’t help the very quiet, very low growl that escaped his lips when Pikepaw walked by to join the patrol. She had always been quite the bully towards him, despite Rainpaw being the oldest apprentice. Yet ever since the storm, she had only gotten crueler, never seeming to let him forget how he had almost drowned. He’d like to see her swim in a flash flood.
He could only hope him and Mothflutter could break off from the group and hunt separately.

Thundersnap Camp | With Cedarfrost & Cloudpaw (Pineclaw) So Cedarfrost would be competing. Thundersnap figured as much and for a moment he sized up the other fighter. Cedarfrost was older than he was, with more experience, but Thundersnap knew he could beat him. After all, he had Astraeos on his side, and the king of the gods would ensure his victory.
So when Cedarfrost asked if Thundersnap had plans of participating, he laughed lighthearted and flicked his tail. ”Of course,” Thundersnap explained and glanced from Cedarfrost to Cloudpaw. ”I want what’s best for MyrtleClan and I also want to honor my late mentor’s legacy. Laurelstar would want me to compete, after all, she practically trained me for this.” Thundersnap paused to smile at Cloudpaw. ”Perhaps both you and I will continue her legacy,” he mused to his apprentice.
Then he turned his attention back to Cedarfrost. ”I will do my best to make both Laurelstar and Astraeos proud during the games and trust in the gods to pick the best candidate for leader.” He glanced toward Puddleheart again and tipped his head to the side. ”Of course, it also depends on our young medicine cat, doesn’t it?” he added.
A young medicine cat plucked from the forest by Pomegranatefur many moons ago, claiming him to be chosen by the gods. Yet he didn’t even have a single ounce of MyrtleClan blood in his veins.
How interesting now that he would decide who should continue Lightingstar’s legacy when he had no connection to the first leader of MyrtleClan himself?

(We may want to start a rotation for this set? Like, Lep can go first, then I’ll go, then Juno, then Ember, and then we repeat the cycle? Mothflutter Mothflutter padded after Stoatchase, content to let him take the lead…At least until he stopped leading. Mothflutter tipped his head to the side and glanced back at Stoatchase to find he had paused. Okay, little weird, but maybe something had happened.
Mothflutter glanced back at the apprentices and cleared his throat. ”Hey, I’ve got an idea, why don’t you three go on ahead and take the lead?” He suggested eagerly, smiling at them. ”Show us how far your hunting had come!”
Fawnpaw, at least, didn’t need to be told twice as she beamed up at him, jumping up and down on her paws. ”I’m going to be the best hunting party leader,” she decided and looked back at Stoatchase. ”Stoatchase! Watch how good I’m going to be at leading!” She called loudly.
Mothflutter laughed a little, but also bent his ears back from the noise. ”I think an important part of hunting is ensuring no prey can hear you,” he reminded her gently.
”Oh, right,” Fawnpaw realized and lowered her body to the floor, swishing her tail around. ”I’ll be real quiet, like Stoatchase,” she promised, lowering her voice as she padded toward the front of the group.
Mothflutter took that as a chance to slip in beside Stoatchase. He didn’t talk to the other tom much, but he wanted to be friendly with him. ”So…crazy time recently, huh?”

Tags: 𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 , Ember34 The mottled gray tom couldn’t help but give a small purr of amusement at Fawnpaw’s forwardness. The younger apprentices always seem to want to lead all the time, in fact when he was younger, Rainpaw went through the same phase for a spell. Oh well, if she was so insistent on leading the apprentices, might as well let her have her fun. He picked up his pace to catch up to Fawnpaw, keeping his eyes and ears alert. He tried to see if he could spot somewhere to fish along the way. One would think after such a traumatizing experience, he would stay away from water, but he heart still yearned for it much like a duck. (This dumb lady finally realized it’s a good idea to tag people)

ARCHSONG-CAMP-GOOSEFRECKLE(𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 ) Archsong couldn’t help the way her heart missed a beat at her mate's greeting, no matter how many times he did it, it always felt like the first time to her. “ Good morning,” she greeted nuzzling her face against his cheek. A smile on her face, a rare occurrence to be seen on the she cat, but Goosefreckle was always successful in drawing it out of her regardless of her mood. “It is, I can't remember the last time the games were held. There are alot of cats that seem excited about joining.” Her gaze flickered to the nursery, was Sagekit awake yet? Should she go and wake him? “ How are you though? I'm sure you and the other entertainers are going to be busy soon with everything?” She flicked her gaze over her mate in a silent quick check to ensure physically he was okay.

Pikepaw flicked her ear, a slight smile drawing to her face that Mothflutter was letting her join. But as fast as the smile was on her face it soon left, as she watched as the rest of the patrol was sorted out. Part of her wished she could have the energy of Fawnpaw but the idea of having to spend time around Rainpaw was not everything she had been hoping for, ignoring the fact Rainpaw was already on the patrol before she joined. Her gaze flickered briefly to Rainpaw, and as quietly as she could so only he would be the one to hear, she spoke to the older tom. “ Don't get any of us killed, you seem to have a knack for costing cats their life.” With that she quickly picked up her pace as she turned her focus to her surroundings though if she happened to look over her shoulder to see the tom's reaction, well she'll never admit that was the reason, she simply thought she caught the scent of a bird. Let me know if I ever go to mean and I'll gladly fix responses)

Sagekit - Camp - Mentions Archsong and Goosefreckle
Sagekit had caught part of Puddleheart's announcement from his nest and was now too excited to go back to sleep. The games would start soon! He didn't quite grasp the importance of it all but to him all that mattered was that something exciting was going to happen and that the winner would lead the clan. Maybe he could join too. He was a kit but why should that stop him? He could race around camp for hours and fight with the older cats and he still had tons of energy to spare when they got tired of it. Surely that meant he could keep up with them! And if he wasn't allowed in anyway then he would get his parents to join the games. They'd become leaders with ease, especially his mother! Right now the two were talking outside and after a moment of hesitation Sagekit crept closer to the entrance of the nursery. He poked his head out, wanting to know what they were talking about but quickly retreated when Archsong looked Goosefreckle over. Hopefully she hadn't spotted him behind him, he was supposed to be in his nest! Sagekit lay low and crawled backwards into the den and to his nest. He quickly plodded down and squeezed his eyes shut, small chuckles escaping him. Nope, they definitely hadn't seen him and he was being a well behaved kit who stayed inside until he was allowed outside. He purred. Sometimes he was just to smart and quick for them, he was sure of it!

Another growl was forced out of him, this time loud enough that Pikepaw could hear, claws involuntarily digging into the earth as he walked. “Laurelstar wasn’t my fault, and you know that,” Rainpaw all but snarled. It could have been anyone that day… Had he gotten out of the training area in time… Had that wave not… It really should have been him. It almost was him until Okeaneos sent Laurelstar to help him. If he thought hard enough, he could still feel her teeth on his scruff, dragging him to safety. He quickened his pace, trotting along side Fawnpaw to keep some distance from him and the haughty apprentice. Though, he couldn’t managed to keep his head nor his tail up much higher after that. Cedarfrost, Cloudpaw | Camp Entrance | Thundersnap (𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 )"The rest of the participants won't have an easy time then," Cedarfrost purred. He knew Thundersnap was a strong fighter and he certainly wasn't a foolish one either. With him in the games there would be some serious competition. And he wasn't the worst option either, Cedarfrost could imagine worse leaders. At the mention of honoring Laurelstar's legacy he dipped his head in respect to their late leader. He briefly glanced at Cloudpaw when Thundersnap addressed her and gave the apprentice a scrutinizing look. She had quite some potential and took her training seriously. Not the most sociable cat and certainly not the easiest to get along with for her clanmates but in that regard he supposed he wasn't one to judge, given his own blunt honesty and strictness with some of the other cats. He turned his attention back to Thundersnap as he continued. "I'm sure the gods will pick the right one and we better do our best to prove ourselves to them. They may have their sights set on some candidates but if those don't deliver then they can't expect to be chosen." He followed his gaze toward Puddleheart and narrowed his eyes at the medicine cat. "Yes, I suppose it does..." he meowed, a hint of doubt in his voice. Cedarfrost had never made a secret of his distrust of cats that weren't clanborn and while it wasn't rare for him to change his mind once they had proven their loyalty he hadn't gotten to that point with Puddleheart yet and most in the clan knew it. It also didn't help that Puddleheart was still very young and Cedarfrost saw him as inexperienced. "I hope he makes the right call, or at least that our elders will." Cloudpaw stood up straighter at Thundersnap's musing and gave a firm nod. "When you're leader you know who you can count on," she meowed with conviction. There weren't many cats she respected enough that she'd accept them as leader but her mentor was definitely one of them. If any cat could lead MyrtleClan into the best possible future it was Thundersnap and Cloudpaw would be sure to support him every step of the way. She lowered her head slightly when Cedarfrost glanced at her, just enough to show the proper respect, but out of the corner of her eye she was watching Thundersnap. Cedarfrost was a powerful fighter with a lot of experience and knowledge. As good as Thundersnap was, he'd have to be careful with that one. She wouldn't mind Cedarfrost as a leader either but she would still prefer her mentor. Hopefully he would come out on top. If he did he'd win the respect of even more cats and with that he'd also have some strong, reliable and well respected cats who would support his leadership. Cedarfrost was one of the better fighters and the clan knew it. If Thundersnap could earn even more of his respect then that would be two fighters in high positions within the clan. While hunters and scouts were important too of course Cloudpaw firmly believed that the fighters deserved the most respect and the greatest authority. All these thoughts went through her head as she watched the two fighters and listened to their conversation. She too followed Thundersnap's gaze toward Puddleheart and nodded at Cedarfrost's comment. "I'm sure he will," she told Cedarfrost when he expressed his doubts about the medicine cat. "Inexperienced or not, he's not going to defy the will of the gods." (and yes, I meant to exclude entertainers from Cloudpaw's thoughts. While she does find them to be fun they just don't deserve the same respect the hunters and scouts do, at least in her mind)

Stoatchase Stoatchase blinked, surprised someone was talking to him. “Y- Yes. Crazy..” He watched as Fawnpaw moved up in the group, and then glanced at Mothflutter, feeling the tom's eyes on him. “...um.. I.. I think if I.. keep hunting after this patrol.. the fresh kill pile will be back to how it was before the.. the uh…” he paused. The flood. It had been terrifying, and he was lucky to have been able to get into a tree, left hacking up water and clinging to a branch for dear life. But more than that he'd watched the prey all get swept away. He'd almost wanted to swim after it but he knew he'd just get taken by the water, just like Laurelstar and Fignose. And his duties weren't done yet. He'd managed to pull Fawnpaw up as well, and had been very relieved to see her alright. The sight of that food being stolen away, wasted, still left him tense. Reminded him of the bad old days. The hunger that had gripped at him for most of his kithood before being brought to the Clan… He shuddered a bit, blinking himself back to the present. “Um.. I could hunt through the night too… I should…”(Sorry for late response, I was out.)

Cloverpounce Camp | With Puddleheart(𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 )
“I’ve got time.” Casually piping up from close by, Cloverpounce smiled at Puddleheart. “They’ve got enough folks on patrols, and I don’t seem to have anythin’ to do right now, soo..” She hadn’t meant to eavesdrop but she had happened to be nearby to the two, and when you have large ears like she does, well, it’s difficult to not accidentally listen in. Besides, she knew she would probably be of some help here, since it certainly seemed like someone needed some cheering up. And as one of the largest cats in the Clan, she was more than enough to ensure safety, even if there really wasn’t much that would hurt Puddleheart, given the protection his position granted him.
"Besides, I was wondering if the Alter was alright after the storm." Her smile didn't reach her eyes as she thought of the flood, what they lost, the cats stolen from them during it... "I mean, I doubt the Gods would allow any more damage to occur right now. But it's good to make sure."

Hearing what his friend planned to do filled the tom with pure excitement! A mischievous grin of his own forming to his face, he quickly looked around the camp for good measure, everyone seemed preoccupied, the perfect opportunity for them to happily strike. Looking back to Flickerpaw, he lowered his voice to ensure that they would not have any prying ears trying to listen in on what was going on for them. " Surely we can still participate, maybe they just never accoutned for the gods choosing an apprentice, and one of us can be a leader," he said. " I also want to try put something in to try participate...let's work together, one of us takes both of our items and waits for an opening while the other provides interference to ensure the one putting the items in the nest doesn't get caught." Who knows maybe if an apprentice wins they get to choose a leader! He could choose Cloverpounce...or...even...STOATCHASE!

Flickerpaw Flickerpaw bounced up and down on her paws, elated that her friend was going along with this plan (inane and idiotic as it actually was). In her mind, she was a genius for coming up with such an idea– had any other apprentice even thought to try and join the games? She doubted it, obviously she was the very first. Which of course meant she was most definitely the smartest cat among her denmates. And most deserving to be leader. Well, at least deputy. She didn’t really know if scouts ever became leader since the last ones had been hunters and fighters, but she was sure that the Gods wouldn’t mind a change in pace. “Alrighty! First step: we need to find some stuff to put in there!" She said, grinning ear to ear, she wanted to do this right. "It's gotta represent us, right? Isn't that what they said?" Being younger, Flickerpaw didn't exactly know all the rules to this. But she pretended she did.

Goosefreckle Goosefreckle hummed thoughtfully, thinking back to the last time he could recall the Lightning Games. He had been a young warrior when the previous deputy died and Laurelstar started the games to pick the next candidate. ”That would’ve been back when Fignose was chosen as deputy. Wow that feels like such a long time ago now,” Goosefreckle mused and shook his head.
Fignose had been in between Goosefreckle and Cedarfrost in age, and Goosefreckle remembered how utterly enthralled he had been by the games. It would be exciting to see them again.
He purred softly, focusing on the entertainers when Archsong brought them up. ”Oh yes, we’re going to have quite a show to put on over the next several days. I’ll have to talk to the others, I’m sure Pearlfeather, Volestalk, and Marigoldskip have some great idea, and of course we’ll have to include Wolfpaw and Mintpaw!” Goosefreckle added in excitement. ”I’m going to also get Sagekit involved, I think he’ll have fun,” Goosefreckle added.
One of the joys of being an entertainer was that he could continue to fulfill his position even while he slept in the nursery and looked after Sagekit. Entertainers didn’t have to leave the camp as often as the other ranks did, which meant he could take Sagekit with him. It was one of the things he most enjoyed about it.

Fawnpaw They would be nearing the cliffs soon, and from here, Fawnpaw could see the sky peaking out from the grove. She smiled and picked up speed, padding quickly to the edge of the olive trees that encased much of MyrtleClan’s territory, breathing in the salty sea air as soon as she got close enough.
However, Fawnpaw paused once she broke free of the trees and saw the expanse of field that led to the cliffs. She could see the cliffs from here and they called out to her, yet she didn’t continue.
Below those cliffs were the sea, and where the sea started was where Clan rules stopped. The sea belonged to Okeaneos, and for reasons unknown to Fawnpaw, he was mad at them all right now. He had taken their leader and their deputy from them, and he could’ve taken more.
Fawnpaw blinked, her mind flashing back to the way her soaking wet fur clung to the tree branch as Stoatchase hoisted her to safety. She could’ve been one of those cats that they lost in the flood. But she wasn’t, not because of the gods will, but because of Stoatchase.
After a few seconds, Fawnpaw shook her head to clear it and tipped her head back, calling out to Rainpaw and Pikepaw ”We made it to the cliffs!”she called. ”Where are we gonna start hunting now?”

Heronflight - Camp - Puddleheart, Honeydusk (𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 )Heronflight slowly padded over to the elders den. She had been listening to Puddleheart from a different spot in camp than usual as she had been taking a small walk through camp to stretch her legs before he had called the clan meeting. No she was heading back to the den belonging to her and her fellow elders. She wasn't too surprised to see Puddleheart heading over there as well, he probably wanted to talk about something. While he was MyrtleClan's medicine cat he was still very young and wasn't the most experienced yet. Of course he'd need some advice every now and then. Or he wanted to talk about the games, that was a possibility too. She arrived just as Honeydusk told him to take an escort and settled down next to her, meowing a soft greeting to both of them. Then she turned to Puddleheart. "She is right, you know," she told him. "Take a cat or two and ask them to go with you. Being a medicine cat doesn't mind that you have to isolate yourself from your clanmates. As for everyone being too busy..." Heronflight gave him a stern look but there was an amused smile behind it too. "Not everyone will be heading out, there are still cats who aren't joining Stoatchase or Thundersnap's patrols. So go around and ask those cats, if they don't have time they will tell you but you won't find out by just sitting here and making excuses."

Antlerpaw - Camp - Ivypaw, Flickerpaw (Ember34 , lepidopteran )Antlerpaw had been sitting a little apart from the rest of her clanmates during the meeting. Lately she preferred to keep to herself so she could be alone with her thoughts. The announcement of the games starting soon had cheered her up a little though and while she knew that as an apprentice she couldn't participate she still felt some excitement. Hopefully one of the older scouts would enter, it would be great to have someone represent them in this. Antlerpaw smiled softly to herself at the thought and as her gaze swept over the cats still in camp she paused at her brother Ivypaw and her fellow scout apprentice Flickerpaw. The two seemed to be awfully cheerful about something. No, more than that, they looked like they were up to something. With her curiosity getting the better of her Antlerpaw rose to her paws and walked over to them. Once she was close enough to hear she stopped in her tracks, a surprised look crossing her face but soon it was replaced by a grin. Some stuff to put in there? Represent us? Her grin widened and she meowed "You two are not planning what I think you're planning, right?"
