Because it's my first rp in a long time, I've decided to go easy on myself and make it loosely structured: Basically we're all going to wing it to fill in plot holes and weave life into this world. ^^"
{ BACKGROUND/SETTING }

>> We're all students of Felblanc Academy, an illustrious school literally suspended from the side of a cliff over the quaint town of Ravens End. Felblanc is dedicated solely to producing powerful and effective Exorcists: Sorcerers whose sole purpose and deadly career revolves around the eradication and policing of demons, otherworldly beings who occasionally venture from home to wreak some good old-fashioned havoc. It's our job to ensure the damage stays minimal- preferably nonexistent- and out of the public eye. Felblanc is the only Exorcist or magic school that accepts demons and cambions.
The RP takes place in current year.

[ The school is located in Ireland but students all over the world are accepted, and likewise they're sent all over the world for missions via Gates: Interdimensional portals set in stone arches. Some Preceptors have Contracts with demons that allow them to teleport as well.
[ Felblanc is part of the UK's Purgatory- the name for the military branch specializing in demon slaying- but officially they're the 'Reserves' and lowest of the low. Other Exorcism institutions consider them cannon fodder and they're rarely called upon in an official capacity.
[ The School Crest: Its background is black and it's emblazoned with a fiery heart-shaped flame with a skeletal hand closing around it. A leathery wing and ornate silver sword are crossed behind, and on a white scrolling banner underneath, words in spiky script are written in Gaelic. "We Offer Up Our Hearts"
[ School Uniform: White pants or skirt with silver pleats (and leggings) & blazer with silver piping and military-style rows of geometric heart-shaped buttons. The school crest is a patch over the heart. We are to wear black collared shirts under our blazers, and ties to correspond with our level of training. It also comes with harnesses of black belted pouches and sheaths for weapons and white knee-high combat boots with black soles. Our uniform is enchanted to be protective like armor, as well as easy to clean so bloodstains easily wash off. Despite their color, they're also enchanted to be unobtrusive at night to allow for stalking demons. Azure for first year. Amber for second. Teal for third. Silver for fourth. Violet for fifth. Scarlet for last.
[ Uniforms are more for the public's sake, as the school is believed to be a highly vaunted military prepatory school with strange extracurriculars- some humans know to look to the students for help if they're ever facing something unusual however.
[ Academy Preceptors & Cicerone have similarly colored uniforms, although they're all military style and paired with long coats or cloaks. They have more freedom to accessorize, and the highly decorated wear rank pins referencing their former House.
[ There are Houses, as there are in Hogwarts, but they correspond to your magic style rather than your personality. Each insignia is more like a badge, that can be worn any way the student chooses, such as a tie clip, piece of jewelry, or actual badge. However, they can be lost or broken just the same.
[ While Amarok and Basilisk House may not always get along due to often opposing bloodlines, all three Houses are required to work together. Not long after being accepted into the Academy, first years from each House must form a three-person squad that will become their team likely for their whole life unless they choose a more specified vocation like Preceptor or Album.
[ Ages for those allowed on independent missions are sixteen and up. Younger students are not allowed to take on missions with their squad alone, they're always accompanied by at least two other cells and Cicerone.
[ Exorcists belong to a magical race of humans, commonly known as Sorcerers and Sorceresses.
[ You can be a cambion/half demon, and even a full demon in certain cases, but keep in mind that there won't be many and they're likely...unpopular. You can also be another magical creature! Though they will be limited in magic or only having a certain kind and can't branch out. For example; barghests may have a lot going for them but can't otherwise use magic at all. They are impervious to all passive magic, however. There are many different species of demon, and that includes: Ifrit, imps, alas, furies, ghouls, oni, tulpa, and even vampires. Of course you're free to choose other types/races, and I'll just let you know how they translate into this world~
[ Most cambions can't use modern technology because their very existence scrambles it. Most Sorcerers can but magical devices are more common amongst pureblood families
[ Teachers are Master Exorcists and referred to as Preceptors. A few go by 'Professor' if they teach something like Magical Theory, Alchemy, or Potionsmaking. [ The three-man teams that students form are referred to as Cells and are numbered, although a few receive nicknames as well.
Each cell is led by a Cicerone, a Master Exorcist who mentors them until they graduate.
[ The school is maintained by Brownies and a particularly finicky Poltergeist, but of course forcing a student to clean is a common punishment.

{ HOUSES }
> There are usually four people to a dorm. They're sorted by age and gender unless there are special cases. Signifiers of the same House share with one another. Prefects share dorms with each other. Prefects and Signifiers get better rooms and other perks, such as the ability to roam the school at night for patrols. <
Basilisk: Usually for those with Passive Magic like potionsmaking and non-combat spells. Mostly comprised of Cambions. Their insignia is a stone reptilian eye that somehow manages to clearly reflect their surroundings like a mirror. When it perceives danger, the eye moves to look in its direction, or even go so far as to reflect the threat for three seconds. House colors are emerald green and burnt orange. Their dorms are closer to the dungeons.
Kirin: Usually for those with Healing & Support Magic. Mostly comprised of specialists in a certain field or element. Their insignia is that of antlers curving around blue flames. When lost, the flames can be breathed to life and point the way, but can only be used thrice a day. House colors are white-gold and peach. Their dorms are in a spiraling tower.
Amarok: Usually for those with in-your-face magic and high-combat capability. Mostly comprised of those descended directly from Exorcist bloodlines. Their insignia is that of a full moon surrounded by fog. When they're reaching their physical or magical limits during battle, the fog clears and highlights three perceived weaknesses in their opponents for- you guessed it- a minimum of three seconds. House colors are arctic blue and black. Their dorms are closer to the front of the school.

> Signifiers - Equivalent of Head Boy/Girl. The Blade is more preoccupied with internal affairs and the Lance external, but they hold equal power. Wear a badge featuring a blazing lantern crossed with either swords or lances
> Prefects, AKA Hounds - Students with both power and authority who answer to their respective Signifiers. Wear a badge featuring the head of a howling wolfhound
> Pillars - Preceptors who lead their Houses, the equivalent of a 'Head of House'

> Headmaster/mistress - The equivalent of a principal. Also known as a Commandant outside of the school
> Deputy Headmaster/mistress - The equivalent of a Vice Principal. Known as a Vice Commandant outside of the school
> Medic/Healer/Album - All can be used for someone who specializes in healing as their role and career. 'Album' is a reference to how healing is considered 'white' magic
> Stationed Medics/Healer/Album - Essentially a cadre of School Doctors. They've either retired from active duty or have simply chosen not to go into the field
> Primus Album - The Head Doctor and most powerful/experienced healer at the school
> Ravener - A member of the Intelligence Division, specializing in communications. Mainly telepaths and tech-savvy sorcerers who coordinate from afar. They train just like everyone else but no longer have to enter the battlefield proper when promoted.

{ DEMONS }
> Demons live on another plane of existence and come through 'tears' in the 'veil' that separates the two worlds. They're otherworldly beings and so don't have 'magic' in the way we understand because it's believed that all magic comes from Earth. While lesser demons can be killed through magical means, the stronger ones require blessed and enchanted weapons or 'pure' magic. <
× Ala: Hali in plural- these female Slavic demons are destructive, mercurial, And extremely voracious. Hali are considered demons of bad weather whose main purpose is to lead hail-producing thunderclouds in the direction of fields, vineyards, or orchards to destroy the crops, or loot and take them away. They have been known to prey upon children but aren't picky. Their powers include controlling/creating horrific weather conditions and shifting into black clouds that renders them immune to most magic. Their forms are ever-shifting- generally monstrous in nature but appearing as attractive women appeals more to their vanity. Mostly have daughters that become full Ala but there are a few male descendants. Their presence interferes with electronics.
× Oni: They are believed to live in caves or deep in the mountains but have been hunted to near extinction in present day. Oni are known for their superhuman strength and have been associated with powers like thunder and lightning, along with their evil nature manifesting in their propensity for murder and cannibalism. They are typically portrayed as hulking figures with one or more horns growing out of their heads, massive teeth, and occasionally a third eye in the center of the forehead. Oni are nigh-invulnerable to physical attacks. Though rare, they are in the higher echelon of Demons and it's considered suicide to face one alone. Cambions are equally hard to come by as most are killed young.
× Imps: They are small, vicious when in a feeding frenzy, and can expel noxious fumes. The flames on the ends of their tails can also cause fires that cannot be put out by normal means. While lower on the totem pole, they are dangerous in large numbers and swarm like piranhas. Every once in a while, an imp with greater intelligence may appear and lead its fellows to cause greater damage to life and property alike. Primitive and animalistic. They cannot procreate with humans. Their presence interferes with electronics.
× Ghouls: Sometimes the result of necromancy gone wrong and others the result of demons controlling dead humans. Functionally, they're zombies. The strongest can't be killed unless through magic means. Cannot procreate with humans. Their presence interferes with electronics.
× Vampires: A higher class of demon, in fact, they’re considered Archdemons. Essentially the same vampires you'd hear about in legend and with the same strengths & weaknesses. The more powerful vampires can control blood and use it to either harm or heal. They're either powerhungry or reasonable with little in-between. Hate most other demons. Dhampir aren't rare but high-borns are.
× Draconic Demons: The creatures dragons were based off of. Divided by element. A humanoid form allows them to procreate with humans. There are few purebloods left.
× Incubi/Succubi: Related to vampires but have more energy-based powers due to their ability to steal the life force of their victims. Hedonistic and vain, they rarely engage in violent acts and simply want to play with their food. Their cambions are common. Their presence interferes with electronics.
× Fiends: Some of the most powerful demons. Malignant and diabolical. Only the elite few can manifest with their actual body. Many possess humans, magic-users, and demons alike. Their true forms are the most 'demonic' looking and they have a number of powers that verge on magical. No one has ever lived to tell of their true forms but they have been known to procreate with humans while possessing another. Occasionally their offspring develop demonic traits but are much more susceptible to their kinds weaknesses. Their presence interferes with electronics.
× Shades: Formless malevolent beings who are usually labeled as 'ghosts' or 'evil spirits'. Can take on the form of a deceased warlock or witch and use their magic. Also capable of possession. Cannot procreate with humans. Their presence interferes with electronics.
× Hellhounds: Monstrous three-headed dogs that are ablaze until they die. Rarely have higher intelligence and usually answer to other demons. They are simply demon dogs and cannot procreate with humans. Their presence interferes with electronics.
× Gorgons: Giant snake-people with snakes for hair and eyes that can turn anyone who meets their gaze to stone. In the higher echelon due to their intelligence, speed, and venom. Their scales are usually nigh impenetrable as well with their human bodies being their most vulnerable parts. They're still incredibly strong and can grow to the size of double-decker buses & twice the length. Younger ones are notably easier to kill. They're known for being incredibly hateful and bloodthirsty. Cambions are rare and usually hated & shunned in their communities. They cannot grow as big as purebloods and their gaze isn't as powerful.

Known only by her first name- (or is it a moniker?) a reclusive woman of indeterminate age who hides behind a long black veil and the complete coverage of the victorian dresses of a mourning widow. She's fairly tall at the cusp of 5'10 and speaks with a surprisingly sweet but monotone voice. Viscountess of...somewhere. Any further details are up for debate, as she seems to avoid all of the social demands of her position and seeks to make up for it with perfectly completed paperwork. On the incredibly rare occasions when one is permitted close to her, they may hear her near unceasing whispers to someone- or something- just out of sight.>> Deputy Headmistress: Logestilla Waters is...not what you would first expect upon hearing her title. On the surface she's tranquil and softspoken, but get her started about any of her interests and she becomes an almost childish ball of energy. She can be loud and impulsive, eagerly whiling away working hours by discussing fashion with students or attempting to wheedle the most promising exorcists into an impromptu no-holds-barred match with her. She's often called away for disciplinary action due to shirking her more boring duties- or showing too much skin with her heavily modified uniforms and ever-changing cutesy accessories. Stilla is only 5'4, but she's built rather powerfully and is vain enough to enjoy showing off the warm brown skin littered with pale scars and well-defined muscles that come with being a brawler. Her- waist-length when straightened or braided- pastel blue hair is also a source of pride for her. She wears it in a crown of braids underneath a greek-inspired helmet in battle but on school grounds it can spring up around her head in a well-maintained halo that sports a variety of colorful clips and barrettes or cascade down her back in a big puffy braid. Her large doe-eyes are a soft lilac that sparkle with cheer irregardless of how hopeless a situation may seem. She teaches CQC as well as Summoning & Contracting. Logestilla's magic allows her to form Contracts with powerful demons, giving them the ability to possess her for a certain length of time. In doing so she gains nearly all of their powers, including an increase in her endurance and physical prowess. The time limit is necessary, as the longer she is possessed, the more opportunity they have to steal her body from her. Archdemons trade off power for shorter time limits, as they are more likely to take over. She usually forgoes weapons in favor of putting her incredible strength, speed, and durability to use by beating demons into bloody stains with her fists- bare but for the cute cat-paw gloves she so adores.>> Basilisk Pillar: Gefängnis Schwarz >> Kirin Pillar: Cessair Varden >> Amarok Pillar: Logestilla Waters >> Primus Album: Yuzu Zabaglione >> Stationed Healers << Yuzu Zabaglione is a rare cat-like magical creature called a Carbuncle. They are roughly 36 inches long from nose to tail and covered in lime green fur on their top half, with lemon yellow highlights over their ears, around their ruby eyes, and in certain accents along their underside. The soft fur of their muzzle and belly is a beige color, usually turned up to invite belly rubs. They are incredibly fluffy with three leaf-like tufts of fur extending from either side of their face and beige heart-shapes on flanks & backs of their forepaws. Yuzu also has a silly 'cowlick' of darker yellow fur that extends from the top of their head and acts like an antenna. Their magic comes from the gemstones set into their forehead. While peridot is the most common, when that gem breaks after it is drained of magic a new one must be grown in its place and this process takes a month at least. Yuzu can heal by drawing on the power of gemstones to 'reflect' White Magic onto the one they are healing. As long as they are properly taken care of and in a positive state Yuzu doesn't have many limits to what they can heal. Because their magic is so powerful, they can only heal once per gem before needing time to grow a new one. As such Yuzu is only called on for the most dire circumstances. Yuzu is capable of both speech and shapeshifting but prefers to roleplay as a cat.
Cessair Varden is one of the senior healers and a retired battlefield medic. He has an outwardly gentle demeanor but is short-tempered and prone to long lectures about health and taking care of onesself. He usually patrols the Infirmary to catch any unfortunate patients attempting to sneak out before they've finished convalescing. Cess is a tall dark brunet with pale skin, neatly parted hair, and slanted silvery green eyes. He wears white robes but is well-built underneath them and has been known to suplex Preceptors who attempt to avoid his healing. He wields air elemental healing magic but can also use it offensively.>> Cicerone << Zhilan. ???. Kirin. Yāojīng> Cell 27 Cicerone < > Magic - As a Flower Spirit, Zhilan heals with the scent, taste, and applications of the flowers that he sheds and grows from his body. They're more ki than organic, and in some cases he can heal by simply pressing the petals into a wound or blowing their pollen over an afflicted person to relieve them of their pain. Zhilan can also grow massive blooms to shield himself and his allies. The drawback comes in the form of his losing energy and vitality with every effort, as ultimately he is the flower sharing its lifeforce with others. After particularly trying injuries or illnesses, he may need to withdraw into flower form and remain in stasis to recover his strength. In this form he is very vulnerable and cannot move or react to what is going on around him. > Weapon - A white-gold Jianruiying Qiang or modified Qing dynasty spear. The two wooden balls near its tip are shaped like lotuses and can be planted to create a giant shield of flowers that grants whoever stands within respite from the battlefield. His preferred weapon is the alabaster bow and arrows that he uses to support his team from a distance. Zhilan uses ki to enhance them, and even turn them into homing beacons. He can also cause the arrows to explode into flowers upon making contact with a demon, either poisoning them or strangling them with vines. His spear is known as Day Bloom and his bow Blossom Fury. > Brief Desc - Zhilan is often mistaken for a student at 5'6 with an eternally youthful face and large, narrow eyes of radiant pink hues. He is fair-skinned and almost doll-like in appearance, serene features paired with a stately mien. Zhilan's hair is soft and sleek, falling to his ankles in a waterfall of gentle pink. He keeps it neat and clean with the use of ki, and guards it covetously on the field of battle. Two verdant leaves grow from the back of his head on either side, resembling a bow, and a number of nelumbo nucifera can grow from his head and hair at any point in time. Ivory petals curl around his soft jaw originating from his neck and framing both sides of his face. Zhilan pairs his uniform with a white cloak embroidered with various pink flowers and vines. Outside of battle, he wears a variety of silk garments that reflect his home and time of birth. > Traits - ( disciplined, shrewd, independent : aloof, callous, impatient ) > History - Zhilan is the spirit of a nelumbo nucifera who cultivated for 100 years before finally coming to life as a Yāojīng, the equivalent of a Chinese fairy. He wasn't an official exorcist at first, but stubbornly defended mankind against the demons of China in the far past before a near-fatal injury forced him into stasis to cultivate for hundreds more years. He was brought to Felblanc simply as something to study roughly six years prior to current events and came to life once more. He decided to enroll as a student in order to officially earn his license and now steps up to be a Cicerone after the death of his former mentor. > Misc - He's known as a bit...a lot of a megalomaniac and respects very few even among the preceptors due to his age and ego. Zhilan hates speaking english and would rather his students learn his native tongue- nevermind the fact that it's a version few speak in the 21st century. His words are sharp and heavily accented, but he is fluent as a perfectionist who cannot fall short in anything. Doesn't mind being bribed with sweets. / endingfairy
Gwyneira Nieves. 25. Basilisk. Half Cait Sidhe > Cell 21 Cicerone < > Magic - Gwyn's innate ability allows him to establish a connection with any reflective surface. A vanity or the mirror over the sink in a bathroom for instance. In fact, all reflective surfaces are fair game for him. Metal spoons. Glass. Water. Even eyes. Larger mirrors and more sturdy reflective surfaces can be used as portals- He can travel between & send objects through them, in addition to creating doubles or clones of himself. Others. And miscellaneous objects, though they generally don't last long. He can deflect and reflect even nonphysical attacks, in addition to remotely controlling mirrors to deadly effect by using them as blades or decapitating someone by sending their limbs through a portal. The most innocuous- but still invasive- usage of his powers is that of Scrying. As long as his target is near a reflective surface and he's made enough significant eye contact with them to make an imprint, Gwyneira can see them wherever they are. This also extends to his being able to look into a person's soul and glimpse a reflection of who they are. He might not always understand what he sees, but it helps with his people skills. Passive usage of his powers also allows for perfect mimicry; though he may not be capable of it at the time, his mirror doubles can perfectly execute abilities he's only witnessed. While physical feats aren't beyond them, he can only replicate certain types of powers. Gwyn can store memories within his mirrors as well, though sound notably doesn't translate in any of his clones or creations. He also has a fey's supernatural physiology and the ability to create glamors & charm humans. > Weapon - Fairest: An ornate anelace dagger that is entirely comprised of a reflective metal so that it appears to be a mirror shard, worn on his left hip. Endsight: A poignard dagger that is entirely reflective like the first, sheathed across his lower back. Gwyn also carries a variety of mirrors from compact to ornate handheld ones and even full-length. He can transport them in a minimized form within the various pouches of his uniform and expand them when needed.
> Brief Desc - Broad-shouldered but lithe and stately. Gwyn is of average height with inhumanly beautiful patrician features and snow-white skin. He has tidy ebony brows and ever-neat pitch hair that parts at the right to frame the upper half of his heart-shaped face. Thick purplish lashes frame feline eyes of pure obsidian, broken only by thin skull-shaped pupils in contrasting white. When startled into emoting, a pair of feline ears and sleek-furred ebony tail appear to reflect his feelings. Otherwise Gwyneira remains courteous and placid, a mild smile always playing at rose lips. He wears his uniform exactly to regulation, but for his tall folded midnight blue boots, similarly colored vest, and the emblem of a ruby heart-shaped apple being stabbed with a golden dagger pinned to his lapel. Gwyn wears a variety of signet rings as well as a white gold laurel wreath shaped circlet that bears crimson stains suggesting he'd freed it from a bloody hand. He's very self-conscious about its apperance and tends to scrub at it obssessively, yet it remains stained. > Traits - (chivalrous, conscientious, earnest : short-tempered, capricious, sadistic) > History - Gwyn is the exiled son of the Cait Sidhe's queen and became an Exorcist with vengeance in mind. Even so, he is ever dutiful to and protective of his students. His temper may occasionally get the best of him but he seeks always to better himself and others. > Misc - He can shift into a giant black cat with a white skull-shaped marking on its chest and usually uses this form to watch over his students. As a Fairy Cat, he also excels at exorcism and can be distracted by more frivolous pursuits, though he tries to stay focused. He's a neat freak who compulsively cleans. Although Gwyneira puts on airs of decorum and gives the impression of a refined prince, his feline ears and tail always give away his true feelings. He can be quite gullible and naïve despite his age and experience. The fact that he's often fending off assassination attempts even on missions is one that is both well-known and frequently joked about amongst his peers. / endingfairy

Gefängnis Schwarz is the unreasonably prickly Magical Theory and History professor who has never once given a student a perfect grade. Likely out of spite. He is an incredibly talented warlock who nonetheless can't use raw magic and is confined to casting spells via his veritable library of grimoires. As a dhampir, he is long-lived and refuses to retire. Many a generation of student has despaired over his classes- but he somewhat makes up for it by being an incredibly passionate educator who sees the potential in everyone. Waist-length black hair with the top usually gelled neatly away from his face, paper-white skin, and steel blue eyes with pentacles for pupils. Wears enchanted silver glasses. Only 5'3 so he's closer to hell, probably why he's always pissed...
Alphecca Drakos is the scatter-brained but warmhearted White Magic perceptor who is new to her role but doing her best! As she's a recent graduate, she doesn't always get the respect she should...she herself often forgets that she isn't still a student and occasionally panics that she 'needs an adult!' when things go wrong in class. Fluffy peach-colored hair usually in pigtails that fall over her shoulders. Large warm golden eyes. Short and fair-skinned.
Wyst Corstone puts his considerable focus into heading his Potions and Poisons classes, but he's so singleminded that they can drag on as he gives impassioned speeches about things like the unique properties of a salamander's tail. He's a fair grader but seems more interested in creating his own concoctions than actually doing his job...he's always creating new mixtures during class hours and is famous for never knowing how to correctly explain measurements. Short statured with choppily cut charcoal gray hair usually worn in a messy bun. Square bangs. Downturned yellow-gold eyes and olive-skin that frequently sports rashes, scars, and burns from his experiments or ingredient-gathering. Folded charcoal ears and a tail tipped in black fur sprout when he experiences any strong emotions. Half-Barghest, and he often wreaks havoc in his classroom when he begins wagging his large fluffy tail.
Astrara Alazraki is the short-tempered Applied Magic preceptor who some students like to antagonize- it's rarely worth it however, as she is uniquely cruel when doling out punishments. As someone who comes from a long line of famous exorcists, she feels as if she has something to prove and lords over her classes with a seeming iron fist. She's notably less volatile with students who show her respect however, and older students know her to secretly be incredibly compassionate. She's hard on everyone because she fears being the reason they die or are injured in the line of duty. Her classes span a variety of different magics as she is well-versed in nearly all of them. Tall and willowy with shoulder-length silver hair, its underside is patterned like a starry night sky with the stars glowing brighter when she uses her magic. Cool bronze skin and midnight-blue eyes with paler, diamond-shaped pupils. Beautiful and always well-dressed. Never without a hairpin depicting a blue rose and crossed wands, her family's coat of arms.
Coda Dayspring teaches Weaponry and Smithing. He'd rather spend his time dreaming up fantastical new weapons and literally dreaming- but he forces himself to get up every day because he is duty-bound. He is...not the best teacher if you go by the very little he says and how he believes everyone can simply learn by doing or intuiting how to act in liffe-threatening circumstances- but he makes up for it by being a nigh-unparalleled master of all weapons. Except modern ones- he hates them and only teaches those who prefer them while gritting his teeth hard enough to shatter and with a litany of lame insults at the ready. Only 5'5 and rather cherubic-looking. He technically doesn't need muscle, so he's very svelte and has pale unblemished skin with a silvery sheen. Neat black hair cut along his rounded jaw and vibrant eyes of a vivid mixture of sunrise colors: soft pinks, yellows, and oranges without pupils. As a spartoi, he is comprised of a number of ancient greek weapons and can summon them into existence.
Rouge Lette is the Battle Strategy and Tactics preceptor. She seems to remain carefully boring, never saying more than what she needs to and maintaining a predictable schedule. Rouge has been known to take her classes outside of the classroom however- and has received complaints for 'testing' and manipulating students even once they leave the serenity of her domain. She likes to warn that everything is a battlefield and there is no situation where you can turn off your mind- older students may have lost some of the ability to take her seriously when they learn of her gambling addiction, however... Average height, with fair skin and ash-blonde hair in corkscrew curls that she usually keeps in a high ponytail with two curls framing her square face. Flinty gray eyes and three scars digging into her forehead.
Geraint Cadwaladr rarely goes by his name amongst the older students of his Practical Exorcism classes. A teary first-year once accidentally addressed him as 'dad' and he, equally misty-eyed, simply went along with it. Henceforth, school legend goes that if you whisper 'dad' three times in the courtyard outside his classroom window, he'll appear with a warm smile and baked goods to cheer you up. He's a very compassionate and involved teacher, remembering all of his students' little quirks and making big deals of their birthdays with his trademark gentle mien. Short deep red hair and icy blue eyes that nonetheless manage to be warm. Has a neat beard slightly darker than his hair. Scarred and fair-skinned. 6'3 and broad- gives the best hugs.
Nerium Maculata is kind of iffy as a professor. They claim to teach Demonology and Sealing but are more likely just here to study the eclectic cambion students and staff alike. It quickly becomes apparent that you should not be alone with them if you're a half-blood. Or accept anything they give you, even if it's a graded paper. Though there's always a manic gleam in their eyes, they generally present as cheery and inquisitive. Intrusively so. They're often pulled aside to be disciplined for scaring or experimenting on anyone they can get their hands on...The trade-off is that they're incredibly knowledgable in their field and don't mind using that knowledge for the betterment of Felblanc. At any cost...They've claimed a section of the dungeons for their experiments and 'prisoners of war'. Stands at 5'8, frail build. Dark brown skin with a magenta shimmer. Short messy, uneven bubblegum pink hair & small bushy brows. Oblique fuchsia eyes with '+' pupils that glow in the dark. Their skin is littered with luminous runes in magenta ink- possible tattoos but they remain ever-changing. Likes to wear a white doctor's coat over their always-dirty uniform. No one knows what they are, exactly.
Efigenia Azevedo is the gluttonous Modern Weaponry preceptor, always eating or talking about food even during class. Coda is the only person that can ruin her sunny mood as she's generally a kind and enthusiastic teacher. Tall and curvy with scarred russet skin and dark brunette hair in a pixie cut. Small pale brown eyes and a prosthetic right arm with different weapon attachments.
Vervain Starkmoon is the young, foul-mouthed Enchantment preceptor who gets into more arguments with students than any adult rightly should. He teaches the various ways to enchant items and works closely with Eowyn to manufacture unique, powerful weapons for the Felblanc populous. He's often bribed with chocolate and gossip in order to get the best possible results from his work. Tall and thin with white hair that falls to his mid-back in a ponytail and narrow, pale yellow eyes. Wears a blue-gray wizard's hat with two albatross feathers in it that can be used as magic quills.
>> Other Staff << Eowyn Ausley is an effusive go-getter who loves her job as Chief Weaponsmith. She 'commands' the league of blacksmiths, enchanters, and weaponsmiths that supply Felblanc with its arsenal but is so compassionate and easygoing that her power and authority is understated. She teaches students with the gift for it but is usually holed up in her forge working on her latest passion project. Which is all of them. She seems to never run out of steam. Average height and slender with well-muscled arms. Pale with seafoam green eyes and messy shoulder-length strawberry blonde hair with a white streak in the left side of her bangs. Her hair is usually pulled into two buns on either side of the top of her head. Pretty, freckled face. A kelpie cambion whose horse form is a beautiful red roan with a white blaze and socks.

Sorachi Kišo. 16. Sorcerer > Cell 27 < > Magic - Onmyōdō. Specifically the use of ofuda for Sealing, Healing, and Purifying. Sorachi is also learning how to inscribe spells for a greater number of uses and effects. As an onmyōji he can confer with spirits and temporarily make shikigami of his fellow students. He uses this most frequently with Ryuzaki. > Weapon - Omamori: A katana with a navy blue hilt and white sheath that is usually wrapped in ofuda to make it more effective. He painted golden horns near the tsuba. He has a sword simply because Ryu wants them to match and coerced him into taking kendo. Sorachi is...not the best swordsman and tends to flinch with his more powerful swings. He avoids drawing his blade as much as possible and prefers to support from the back with ofuda. He carries a veritable stack of small papers and even a few wooden 'cards' in a brocade bag worn at his hip, as well as brushes and ink. In a pinch, he can use blood for stronger talismans. > Brief Desc - Sorachi is 5'4 and rather frail, having been a sickly child- but tries to cover that up with loose clothing. He has pale skin that makes his frequent bruising stand out all the more, and often bandages his hands and arms to hide how fresh his scars are. He has quite the number of them for someone who is relatively new to being an exorcist, with his most prominent one being the double slash in a vague 'x' shape that crosses the bridge of his flat nose and extends to both cheeks and underneath his almond-shaped sapphire eyes. Sorachi has prominent brows and raven hued hair that shines midnight blue in the moonlight. It's cut rather haphazardly, ending in just the middle of his ears with slight curls in the back and leftswept bangs in the front. No matter how he tries to maintain it, it always appears a little messy. His face is open and expressive, with a soft rounded jaw and full lips usually pressed into a nervous smile. Outside of battle Sorachi wears his beloved lapis lazuli earrings from which carved swift birds dangle. He wears pale blue gloves with golden hems with his uniform, which is always as neat as he can make it. > Traits - (adaptable, empathetic, steadfast : timorous, passive, an overthinker) > History: Sorachi is from a fairly well-off family and only met Ryuzaki by chance when he was visiting grandparents in their small mountain village when he was 9. Their friendship was nigh-immediate, and he would return as often as he could throughout the years. When they were 14 the murder of his mother had sent Ryu into a rampage and the remaining villagers hired an aging onmyōji to kill Ryuzaki. It was Sorachi who convinced her to spare him, and vowed to become an onmyōji as well to always keep his friend- and those around him- safe. He trained under her for a year and a half before she eventually reccomended them to Felblanc. His family was furious but there was nothing they could do. They still write to him to ensure that he's safe. >Extra - The scars on his hands and arms are from using his own blood to create talismans for Ryuzaki. There's a large bite mark on his right shoulder that is old but no less terrible looking. He's quite the skilled artist and sketches & paints whenever he has free time. Sorachi loves reading and research so he does well on all but more practical tests. He currently has terrible stamina, little endurance, and no combat instincts whatsoever. Ada Hendrix . 16 . Sorceress> Cell 21 < > Magic - Water Based Healing - Ada's magic is basic healing magic, with an elemental twist. Ada's magic is stronger when she is near water, but it works best when she dips her hands in water or drips it on her head. It becomes weaker when she hasn't had access to water for a bit, which could vary based on what she was doing or how big the injury is. Her wrists glow when she uses her magic, brighten depending how big the injury is. > Weapon - Renewal - small dagger that Ada had received at school. It is small, with a golden hilt with a swirly pattern engraved on it. Ada only uses it for self-defense, or if she absolutely needs it. Its main use is actually for healing, if she needs to cut open skin to get a blood sample, or remove something when she doesn't have the right equipment. > Brief Desc - Ada has a lighter skin tone that is covered in freckles. She has sea-blue eyes and medium length orange hair that goes down to around her shoulders. She is around 5'5 feet tall, and usually likes wearing a headband to keep her hair back. > Traits - (empathetic, respectful, gentle : nervous, impulsive, scatterbrained) > History - Ada used to live in a small town where she worked at the local (and only) clinic as an assistant. She wanted to use her magic to help others, and she wanted to learn more about medicine so she could treat illnesses as well as injuries. Ada soon realized however that this would not be the place for her, and the only thing she was doing was healing small scrapes and bruises. So, Ada seeked out a Sorcerer that she knew, and he told her about Felblanc, and said that he would tell the head of school about her on his journeys. > Misc - Ada tries her best, but sometimes she does stuff on a whim, for better or for worse. Clarissa Greene. 17. Vampire Cambion > Cell 6 < > Magic - Blood Manipulation. She claims to be able to stop hearts, poison blood etc. but at most, she can give you a bruise or a small cut. However, she is really good at healing. > Weapon - Heart Killer, Blood Spiller, and Death Filler. A set of three daggers. She claims that they were forged on a blood moon, or in star-touched water, or some other equal dramatic and unbelievable story (it changes every time). In reality, it’s just three old, ordinary, rusty daggers. She had them before the school, but when they forged her a weapon, she insisted they just improve her old daggers. > Brief Desc - Clarissa is extremely short, barely 5 feet tall. That, combined with an unusually high-pitched voice and child-like face, leads to her often being mistakenly viewed as a much younger child. She has rusty red hair she keeps pinned up in a bun with Blood Spiller. She has pinkish skin and bright green eyes. She wears thick black boots that have pouches that hold Death Filler (whichever boot is more convenient). (Her other dagger, Heart Killer, is in the regular weapon pouch). > Traits - ( brave, determined, loyal : reckless, hotheaded, insensitive ) > History - Clarissa’s mother was an influential exorcist, and her "father" was a powerful vampire who tricked her mother into having Clarissa. Her mother finally died when she was only one, and her father married another, less important exorcist. He- the exorcist- told her and her half-sister Stella about Felblanc. Clarissa vowed to track down her mother's killer, and to do that, she'll have to become an exorcist. > Misc - She is really artistic, and enjoys making beautiful art with her blood under her skin. Basically, she can make a bruise-like shape on someone’s skin. (Don’t worry; it doesn’t hurt, and she can easily erase it.) She can’t use this in battle, but she uses it to write insults on anyone’s face who dares tease her about her child-like features. / snowheart1

Aliyah 'AB' Bridges. 13. Harpy Cambion A tiny girl with cool brown skin. Her lower half is the feathered golden-brown legs of a Brown Snake Eagle. Her wickedly curved talons are painted bright purple, and her uniform skirt is modified to allow for the fanning of her tail feathers. Her human arms are fused with wings that render them more feathered than flight-worthy, but she can grow them at will to an impressive wingspan that allows her to take to the air. Her hair is dyed electric purple and usually in neat cornrows, with a bow of woven braids on the back of her head. Her eyebrows were burned off, scarred skin surrounding round amber eyes that are unmistakably avian, yet dissimilar in size. The right half of her face is warped and disfigured, making her right eye narrower than her left and flattening her nose into two slits. Old scars give her skin a waxy quality and permanently slants one side of her mouth downward at an angle so that she appears to have a permanent exaggerated frown. Tries to appear tough and older than she is, but is a kindhearted girl desperate to grow up too soon. One of the best snipers in Felblanc.
Buural 'Buu' Tenebris. 17. Violet. Sorcerer Tall and lanky with deathly pale skin and dark-ringed, sunken silvery white eyes that are devoid of pupils. His hair is thin and lank, an ashen gray that is cut haphazardly so that it's longer on the left than the right. His high forehead is scarred as if it'd been wrapped with barbed wire. Always looks tired and as if were on his deathbed. Usually snide and lazy but seems to have a soft spot for Aliyah.

Onyx Scarlett Xavier. 16. Dragon Cambion.> Cell 27 < Magic > Shadebending: She can melt into darkness, see in the dark, control shadows, and darkness can heal her. However with this power, she becomes extremely weak to fire or light magic. Being part draconic demon she is able to hover a few feet off the ground when she flaps her wings, has an affinity for shiny things and identifying anything that comes from the earth, and can blow a bit of smoke from her nose and mouth when she wants to can blow a bit of toxic smoke when she’s angry, she has an affinity for finding anything shiny, and can walk/run at very high speeds when her legs are in full form. However, bright lights cause her to become weakened and she hates having to clean under her scales every time she bathes. Weapons > Hope’s End, dagger: It’s about 7 inches long from blade-tip to handle. The metal is silver and while it has tiny chips here and there, Onyx sharpens it so much that it never is dull. There is a small black serpent that twines around the handle and its head rests right where she usually puts her thumb. The snake’s eyes are small green gems that glitter. When she wants to make sure that whoever she stabs doesn’t get back up, she can insert a few drops of poison into the snake’s mouth and the blade will become poisoned. It has a black leather sheath that is always tied to Onyx’s waist and the dagger is always there as well. Because it is concealed, it is easy to silently slip it from the sheath and surprise her enemy. Shikomizue: It looks like a black cane or walking stick held around her belt, but when she unsheathes it, it turns into a sword that's better for fast attacks and stabbing. Mongolian recurve bow: The bow is all black except for silver on the tips, and holds massive potential for range/power. She makes the arrows herself usually, all tipped with material specialized for demons. Brief Desc > 5,6 female with black leathery wings and a dragon’s tail. She has goat feet and digitigrade legs that have scales. Her eyes are dark green with gold flecks deep inside and she has medium length black hair and lightly tanned skin. Her hair is cut in shoulder length layers which frames her face nicely. She has a small spatter of light freckles across the bridge of her nose, and she has one piercing on her right ear and two piercings on her left. While she doesn’t wear makeup she does usually wear mildly scented lip gloss; her favorite scent is rose petal. Traits > (intelligent, observant, skilled : introverted, selfish at times, dark humor ) History > Honestly she doesn’t even know why she’s here if she IS part demon. But she guesses that she’ll just go with the flow and see what comes out of it. She doesn’t remember having parents or siblings and has mostly spent her time house drifting. Misc > She usually wears a black hoodie over a black tank top, black sweat pants and black sneakers. She is not looking forward to the uniform. / Ravenshadow
Athrwys 'Aether' Medraut. 17(?). Spartoi > Cell 13 < > Magic - As a Spartoi Athrwys doesn't have magic. Instead he can summon the blessed and enchanted magical chain-trailing harpoons that make up his very soul. They're a highly powerful demon-slaying weapon that can burn away at them with just a touch. His mastery of them isn't yet complete, however. The more there are on the field, the less fine his control. He tends to use just one or two for precision but will take the route of overwhelming his prey with numbers if the moment calls for it. Athrwys is unique amongst Spartoi in that he can summon a seemingly endless number of harpoons and chains. Fighting with his soul depletes his stamina quicker, however. He must end fights as swiftly as possible so that he can recover mana spent. Even the slightest damage to the harpoons and chains is severe damage to himself. For fatal injuries, only weaponsmith sorcerers can restore him so normal healing magic wouldn't work. As a being created for the service of Exorcists, his weapons can't actually harm humans or sorcerers and will harmlessly pass through them. His blades, on the other hand... > Weapon - Gáe Bulg: The 'true name' of his soul belonging to the countless serrated golden chains that he can summon. Many of them are attached to a three to five foot long harpoon with movable barbs. The pointed ends are diamond shaped with another set of barbs just behind the first set. These can be moved at will to latch into whatever he's sunken them into. The chains are thick enough that you could only just wrap your fist around them, and glow with the warmth and light of a star- or so he says. Ibn La Ahad & Auditore: Bladed Gauntlets. Slim and almost nondescript, they appear to be ivory elbow-length gloves with silver wings engraved into his forearms until he wills the blades to unsheathe. Ibn La Ahad on his right arm is a blade that emerges from the inside (underneath) his arm and can extend to 10"5 long while Auditore emerges from the top of his forearm and extends a full two feet. They're enchanted to kill demons but are also 'rated E for everyone' just in case~ > Brief Desc - Athrwys stands at 5'10 with a slender though sinewy-muscled build. His face is softly rounded and pleasant with a patrician nose and thick-lashed aquamarine eyes that tilt upward like a cat's. He has smooth, fair skin utterly free of blemishes and an ever-present smile that varies in size but never in puckishness. Aether's hair is wheat-gold and fluffy, cut just above his ears with short bangs that are parted on either side to leave his vision clear. It's often windswept and unruly, however, as a result of his preferred method of travel. His uniform is always unkempt in some way, though he at least keeps it obsessively clean. He prefers to wear a long school jacket and has it pinned to his shoulders so that it flutters behind him like a cape. Athrwys wears heeled, knee high boots because he likes to be that much taller. His personal clothing appears to be typical teen fare, but it's all brand new as if it's his first time wearing it. > Traits - (easygoing, adventurous, quick-witted : irreverent, hedonistic, unscrupulous) > History - Created by Felblanc's own late Master Weaponsmith Harun Bashar. It was his wish that his creation would aid his beloved alma mater and so that's what Athrwys shall do- although, he seems more attracted to the prospect of becoming a 'real person'. He's always trying to convince those who don't know him that he's a sorcerer. > Misc - Gáe Bulg can be manipulated as he pleases, but he most commonly uses them as anchor points extending from his hips to swing around his environs with incredible speed and agility, leaving his hands free for the blinding blitz attacks he's known for. As a Spartoi, Aether instinctively has an advanced combat sense to the point where he doesn't technically need combat training, instead he seems to lack some knowledge of the world around him and has yet to fully hone his propietary techniques. Close combat is still a weakness of his, however, and he avoids it whenever possible. His speed and agility make him difficult to hit regardless. His soul is a chain, and thus his body is as limber as a result. It can be said that he moves the way a snake in human skin would. He speaks in a light tone with a lilt to it that suggests his native tongue, but prefers to sound American. Nicknamed 'Pinnochio' by Rex; hates Rex with a passion and the feeling is mutual although they dance around it so that nobody knows just how much. Disliked and distrusted by Basilisk students due to being their literal mortal enemy so he tends to hang around the other Houses instead. Doesn't need to eat or drink but is obsessed with it; always trying something new but is particularly infatuated with bread and noodles. / endingfairy
Stella Greene. 16. Sorceress > Cell 50 < > Magic - Moon Magic. She draws power directly from the moon, and her power is enhanced with her staff. She cannot use it during the day or indoors where the moon doesn’t reach her, and the strength of her power depends on what phase of the moon it is (it doesn’t matter whether it is waxing or waning). New Moon (without staff): Basically the same as during the day. New Moon (with staff): Unable to use her power, but she is slightly stronger, faster and more alert. Crescent Moon (without staff): Unable to use her power, but she is slightly stronger, faster and more alert. Crescent Moon (with staff): Can summon a soft silver glow, but that’s it. Quarter Moon (without staff): Can summon a soft silver glow, but that’s it. Quarter Moon (with staff): Can form weapons and other small objects out of moonlight and mentally control them. Gibbous Moon (without staff): Can form weapons and other small objects out of moonlight and mentally control them. Gibbous Moon (with staff): Can form larger objects and even make copies of herself out of moonlight that she controls. Full Moon: If the light of the full moon falls on her, she will lose control and start attacking anyone near her. Without her staff, she is the at the same level of a gibbous moon with her staff. But if she has her staff, she becomes extremely powerful. Stoppable, but not by most young students. Some events, like eclipses, affect her powers. Solar Eclipses: She gains her powers, and, depending the amount covered, she gains certain levels of her power. If a total eclipse happens, it’s the same situation as a full moon. Lunar Eclipses: She becomes varying levels of weak depending on the amount covered. If the moon becomes full covered, she becomes completely unconscious and useless. Blood Moon: The same situation as the full moon happens, except she doesn’t need her staff, because her powers aren’t moonlight based for the duration of the blood moon. She instead can create illusions of someone’s worst nightmare, then slowly drain the life force out of them. > Weapon - The Moon’s Beacon in the Night. A wooden staff with elaborate carvings. At night, any moonlight in the area fills the carvings for her to use, making it much easier to use her magic. > Brief Desc - Stella looks like an ordinary human, albeit a strangely pale, tall and thin one. She has waist-long black hair that she lets hang loose or keeps in twin braids and has bright green eyes. > Traits - ( kind, intelligent, selfless : quiet, awkward, anxious ) > History - Stella’s mother was an influential exorcist, but her dad was a clueless human. Her mother died when she was only a newborn, and her father married another, less important exorcist. He- the exorcist- told her and her half-sister Clarissa about Felblanc. She decided to help Clarissa on her quest for revenge. > Misc - Stella is a bit of a nerd. She loves reading thick fantasy novels, and could talk about them for hours, but most people cannot follow her ideas, because she jumps from idea to unrelated idea to completely unrelated idea in the same sentence. Octavian "Phantom" Hemlock. 17. Sorcerer > Cell 21< > Magic - Phantom-summoning. Depending on who he wants to scare/interact with, he can see their deepest fear and create a phantom of that fear. He can also create phantoms of just anything he pleases, although if you try to touch them they disappear like smoke. Usually though he just likes to make little ghostly figures that follow him around. If he really wants to he can make a copy of a sorcerer and they'll have the same powers but much less powerful. He doesn't tell anyone, but because of his powers his own fears plague him in the shape of his phantoms and he can't get rid of them. > Weapon - Voidwalker, bow. It's a black longbow with sharper blades sticking out from parts of it, and its made from charcoal wood. The arrows he shoots are like blue smoke, conjured from the energy around him. They aren't as powerful as regular arrows but if he wishes he can make the victim of the arrow have horrible hallucinations. Long Sword: He prefers his bow, but doesn't mind using his sword for closer combat. It's silver with a brown hilt and has small engravings on the blade so that when there's blood on all of it, the carvings glow blue and it becomes more powerful for a short amount of time due to the bloodlust. > Brief Desc - A 5,11 male with a slim build and pale skin and coal black hair. His eyes are a steely blue and burn like fire if you look deep inside. He has a gaunt face that is covered in light scars and his hair is unruly which makes it hang down in ringlets around his face. Usually wears a deep cloak and dark clothes, paired with comfortably worn black shoes. He also wears black gloves most of the time and well, along with a mask if he gets the choice. > Traits - (intelligent, empathetic, and witty : cold, anxious, stern at times ) > History - His parents were powerful Exorcists who wanted him to become famous like them, but he doesn't enjoy killing because all it does is give his phantoms more things to torment him with. He passed the test at the expense of two boys he had gone in with but emerged unscathed. > Misc - He loves reading and playing practical jokes on people, but all of it is lighthearted. Favorite food is dried plumbs and always has a bag with him at all times which he munches on. Usually his bow is strapped to his back, but he's been using it for so long that he can have it in his hands at a moments notice. He has deep brown eyes and short brown hair that seems to have been cut by him, as it isn't quite even. Outside of the uniform, he wears a mix of blues and greens, along with the occasional yellow. > Traits - (creative, focused, determined : stubborn, impulsive, anger issues) > History - Atlas was born to an Ala mother, and he was born male to her dismay. With the pleads of his father, she kept him, but he was mostly raised by his father. One day when he was five, Atlas's father left their home, and never returned. After a month of not hearing from him, Atlas's mother cast him out, always disappointed that she had gotten a male son instead of a female daughter. Ryuzaki Igarashi. 16. Oni Cambion > Cell 27 < > Magic - As a cambion Ryu doesn't possess magic, although he can generate electricity throughout his body and usually runs it through his sword to add extra damage to his every strike. He has an oni's nigh-invulnerable physiology complete with incredible strength, speed, reflexes,senses, stamina, agility, etc- although he's still prone to injuries from exorcism magics and more powerful demons. He can regenerate from most wounds as long as his head is still connected to his body but it's slower than a full-blooded oni's. Ryuzaki can grow claws and elongate his fangs, possessing a powerful poisonous bite that can crush bones just as surely as his hands. > Weapon - Sun-Nashi: A tachi with a golden hilt and white sheath with blue swifts painted over it. Ryuzaki prefers to use his massive tachi as he considers it more 'civilized' and befitting of the samurai (he is not) but has also learned to shoot a yumi and wield a naginata. He doesn't often bring more on his missions unless he wants to try something new for a while. His body is weapon enough. > Brief Desc - Ryuzaki is already 5'10 and still threatening to grow taller. His pale skin has an almost ashen cast to it, and he possesses the broad-shouldered well-muscled build of a warrior. He's mainly free of scars but for the large, jagged slash on his neck and a pale burn over his heart in the shape of a small hand. Ryu's features are pointed and perfectly symmetrical but manage to be human in how effusive and easy to read they are. He's often wearing a cocksure smile with a fierce glimmer in his oblique molten gold eyes. His brows are usually hidden but he has thick lashes to match the shade of his unruly aubergine hair. It's luxuriant and slightly wavy, falling to mid-back when not tied up in some fashion. His bangs are kept out of his face by the bronze hitai-ate he often wears; it sports horns to cover up his lack and crosses over the bridge of his nose to form a slight 'x' in the center of his face. He doesn't have extra straps or belts on his uniform as he only needs to carry his sword, which is worn on his right hip to account for being left-handed. Ryu always wears a red leather collar from which Sorachi's ofuda dangle. When they bleed black he is in danger of becoming more Oni. In which case he grows in size, gains claws and fangs, and his skin begins to turn a deep red with sharp golden markings. In battle he typically wears a bronze menpō to match his hitai-ate. Rather than the expected snarling oni features however, its entirely featureless as it acts as more of a muzzle than armor. It is secured with red rope braided with more of Sorachi's talismans that prevent him from taking it off himself. > Traits - (dynamic, loyal, tenacious : impulsive, reckless, violent) > History: Though he claims to be descended from Watanabe-no-Tsuna himself, Ryu's only source is a mother who didn't always live in the present. It was her murder that he was avenging when the traveling onmyōji was asked to put him down, and in her he saw another path to take. He would still be a merciless killer, but an 'honorable' one. And so he's put his dauntless efforts into turning his disturbing fondness for bloodshed into a career. Ryuzaki would rather save people and hear them cheer his name than have them curse it. He wants to be a 'just' and proper warrior, a hero even, but often falls short of that. Nothing can prevent him from trying, however! He's almost fanatical about it, both reveling in and finding revulsion in his Oni side. >Extra - As an Oni, Ryuzaki can go berserk if he has spilled too much blood. It's as if his human side 'switches off' and a ferocious hunger begins to grow in him...Sorachi consistently brings him back from the brink, but fears there may come a day where he's too far gone... In order to avoid this, he tries to fight as 'cleanly' as possible and cauterizes the wounds he causes with his electricity. Sorachi also imposes a 'Shikigami' talisman on him, forcing him to obey his orders until the spell wears off. There are still days where he wishes he were free to drink blood, however. While he can put others off with how hot-headed and savage he is, Ryu is actually rather good-natured and wants to make friends. He just isn't sure how to do that because he's only ever made one friend, and he still isn't sure why Sorachi even likes him. Even so, he happily refers to him as his brother and you'll rarely see one without the other. / endingfairy

Zinna Heartbrook. 17. Sorceress> Cell 21< > Magic - Fire Manipulation - This gives Zinna the power to manipulate fire, conjuring it and/or control it. She can still be burned, but not as bad as other people. She can control how hot her flame is, and how much flame she conjures. As you can imagine, she can't cast her magic when she is very cold or another element is at play with it, such as water, or shade. > Weapon - Anala's Ignition - Longsword that she keeps in her belt. Although she also has other weapons, this is her main one. It is pretty basic, forged after she had gotten to the school. The hilt of the sword is a burnt orange color, with the edge being wickedly sharp. Sometimes she even scorches the end of the sword, but usually she doesn't. > Brief Desc - Zinna is thin and wiry and around 5'6 feet tall. She has dark skin, an almost burnt brown. Her hair is long and black, and she usually keeps it in a messy pony. Her eyes are an auburn hazel with gold flecks. She has dark freckles that can be seen if you look closely. > Traits - (intelligent, outgoing, fair : aggressive, careless, insecure ) > History - Zinna grew up in a wealthy household, although she didn't enjoy it. Her parents were well known exorcists had eyes on the finer things, hosting extravagant parties and bragging about their origins openly. They did go to Felblanc, but don't show any motives on continuing on their demon-slaying days. She usually trained all day in their gardens, and sometimes traveled to nearby caves to practice her fire magic. > Misc - Zinna doesn't talk much, observing to see if others were threats before engaging in conversation. She can seem cold when you first meet her, but once she warms up to someone else she can be rather outgoing. / Dew
Theron Kane Jaeger. 17. Sorcerer > Cell 6 < > Magic - Jupiter's Decree is essentially electromagnetism. Theron's pool of mana is currently very low, however. At present he's only capable of exerting control over metals that he can realistically hold. He uses this ability to guide the occasional bullet and suspend his guns around him, as well as to summon his shield and move it around the battlefield when needed. Theron is also working on remotely firing them through much trial and error. Mostly error. > Weapon - Storm Border. A silver cross-shaped tower shield of about 6' in height and 4'5 across. It's edged in navy blue and rimmed in cyan runes that glow when its magic is activated. The Storm Border is a marvel harmonizing both magic and technology, as it's also functionally a grenade launcher and storage space. The lower part of the cross acts as a barrel, and when Theron props it on its side it sinks stabilizing bolts into the ground so that he can load ammo into its center and fire without worrying about the recoil. It has both straps for carrying and swinging around and a metal bar that he can hold to block with, as well as a bolt that extends from the bottom to anchor it in place to shelter allies. When directly engaged, he also uses it for devastating melee attacks. When more coverage is needed, Theron can sync his magic with the Storm Border to create an electromagnetic shield that extends up to seven feet. He cannot maintain it for long, however. The inside of the shield is engraved with a number of magic circles that allow Theron to summon his guns from within the pocket dimension that it houses. His most used are: An HK416D, Mk18, M4A1 URGI, a SIG Sauer LVAW, FN SCAR Mk17, and two SIG Sauer M18s. Named Isobar, Surge, Permafrost, Monsoon, Cyclone, Drought, and Hail respectively. They all come with varying accessories, and they're custom-made silver to match the Storm Border. Laser sights are blue and feature a smiley face with its eyes crossed out. The guns are engraved with exorcism runes so that every bullet needn't be blessed or engraved. Theron also carries a boot knife, a trench knife, and a Gi Type M-9 bayonet. > Brief Desc - Theron appears to be rather average at first. He has a rather forgettable face, his height is expected for his age and his build is hidden behind sweaters and jackets on off days. His eyes are likely his most interesting feature; chartreuse with forest green surrounding the pupils. They are always alight with some dynamic emotion, compelling him to speak before he thinks or act out of turn despite his best efforts to remain under the radar. He has fair skin prone to blushing and deep brown hair with reddish highlights that is cut neatly to frame his expressive face. It nonetheless features a stubborn cowlick that he habitually attempts to smooth out. Underneath his ever-neat uniform and more comfy sweaters, Theron is well-built with defined musculature particularly in his upper body. He is also liberally scarred from donning the role of his team's 'tank' and has taken many a blow meant for others. He doesn't accessorize but for the obsidian heart-shaped earrings he wears. On missions his body is crossed with bandoliers and he wears one handgun on his hip while the other is holstered underneath his jacket. These are of course Glamored when among civilians. The Storm Border appears as a guitar case. > Traits - ( cheerful, dedicated, humble : overzealous, delusional, meretricious ) > History - Theron spent the majority of his life as a human in the mundane world, obsessing over video games and various forms of media. They provided an escape from his painfully ordinary life, but often even that wasn't enough. He wanted more, so he developed an interest in the occult and helped some of his classmates summon a demon. His magic awakened enough for him to survive the ordeal and he was utterly delighted to discover that he's special and there's more to his life than he thought after all. The horrible deaths of his classmates didn't faze him; they served their purpose. With singleminded determination and a bit of illegal hacking, Theron finally found a sorcerer who could be his entry into a magical school so that he could live his Harry Potter-esque dreams. Felblanc was only mentioned offhand and in a disparaging manner at that, but Theron was attracted to the intrinsic danger (and adventure!) that an exorcist's life would contain. Particularly, the life of an exorcist who lives amongst those they hunt. He received a reccomendation after wearing down his 'mentor' and took a one-way ticket to Ireland despite his family's vehement protests and attempts to keep him in America. Theron is no longer beholden to them. His path is a bloody one but it's one he gladly walks with ever-darkening scenery that he enjoys every second of. > Misc - Lebanah mentored him during one of his rare good moods and dearly regrets it. He hates Theron with a passion but the boy doesn't seem to realize this. Although he's living his dream life, Theron is still a gamer through and through. He often makes references that the old-blood sorcerers in his House find bizarre but makes things worse when he tries to imitate them and sound more 'refined' when again, his only frame of reference comes from video games and popular 'human' media. Alternates between trying to sound heroic and make a name for himself and random bouts of social anxiety. Theron is still rather terrible at weaponless combat but he's one of the best sharpshooters in school. He trains relentlessly, even on his days off. Theron is very single-minded and struggles to connect to others. This is likely due to the fact that he appears to believe that he's simply living a video game. Lilia "Lil" Watcher. 17. Sorceress > Cell 50 < > Magic - Lumina - The power to harness and control light. Lilia's magic draws from all light, fire, sunlight and stars. It gives her to power to bend sunbeams or draw light in the dark nights. If she concentrates hard enough she can blind others or heal others, that's what she is told. Even after a year of training, the most she can do is draw a sunbeam during the day or draw some light at night. Lilia's power is entirely based on having light, so the less light the weaker her magic becomes. > Weapon - Daybreak - Simple wooden bow made of Cherry Wood, engraved with some swirly patterns. The arrows she received at school and are a white color with orange and yellow feathers. The sheathg is a simple pale yellow with gold accents. > Brief Desc - Lilia is 5'6, with a slender build. She has short blonde hair that almost seems to be white, a contrast to her midnight blue eyes. Lilia has a few freckles around her cheeks and nose. Her skin is a tanned light color, making it seem darker than it actually is. She has a scar on the left side of her neck, as well as a burn on her right arm and leg. > Traits - (Loyal, Strategic, Discerning : Sharp, Secretive, Vengeful) > History - Lilia was born into an Aristocrat family who trained with daggers, swords, maces, and of course, her main weapon the bow. They were very loving but also very distrustful of demons and cambions, and when Lilia was sent to Felblanc they told to her to be wary of the half-demons. As time went of however, Lilia learned to trust, even like most of the cambions at Felblanc, seeing error in her parents judgement. During her Azure year however, Lilia and her cell. were sent on a mission outside of school grounds, where her entire cell was killed. Amalareiks 'Rex' Arlind. 21. Cambion> Cell 7 < > Magic - Aura Manipulation: Rex has independent use of his aura which in his case is like raw energy that he can use to both temporarily increase his and his allies' speed, endurance, stamina, and reflexes in addition to being able to cause explosions by overloading an object with it. The majority of its use relies on intent, however. Rex's aura has no shape until he wills it, directing it to his fist in order to enhance a punch or hardening it over his body to absorb and disperse damage. His use can be limited as he's using his own energy and life force, and cannot use it to full potential if he's severely injured or not in the right headspace. He must constantly eat, nap, and occupy his mind to maintain it. Rex can steal the aural energy from others but is forbidden from using this skill unless he's sapping it from enemies. He has the power to channel the auras of allies which even allows them to share thoughts and intentions but must make contact with all of them beforehand, and is limited in combat when using this skill as the majority of his focus must go to maintaining the connection. It's suspected that he may be half Incubus as he can charm humans with supernatural ease. The ability to see auras also allows him to 'read' other living beings. The least of which allows him to determine when someone is lying. > Weapon - Dual chakram engraved with runes that harm demons. When imbued with his aura, they can return to him after being thrown and he can control their path with hand or finger movements from up to five yards away. He cannot touch them physically and always needs to wear gloves when handling them. > Brief Desc - Amalareiks stands at 5'9 with a lithe build and olive skin. His narrow pupil-less eyes are a vibrant pink spinel color, and his wavy shoulder-length hair is a dark green spinel with bluish tints. It forms neat bangs and frames his patrician face moreso on the right side, but is frequently found in a variety of styles as he likes to play with it. The only traits that marks him as a cambion are the green spinel sleek-furred tail with heart-shaped tip and the horns curving upward from either side of his head as if crowning it. They appear as if they're made of the pink gemstone itself and refract light just as brilliantly as they glow in the dark. An obsidian crown is tattooed over his left eyebrow with similarly colored chess pieces inked onto his fingers, and he has a variety of onyx piercings. Rex also wears a ring of pink spinel on his right hand and black choker necklace with suspended chains. > Traits - ( optimistic, amiable, intelligent : imperious, self-indulgent, wily ) > History - Amalareiks is the bastard son of a noble, storied Exorcist family and is hated and shunned as a result. He has no idea who or what his father was, but refuses to let the accident of his birth dictate how his life should go. He's determined to become the best Arlind in history to spite the family that loathes him. >Extra - Rex happily flaunts his money and power but gets away with it by being excellent in his role as Signifier. He's surprisingly patient with Azure students, and is always happy to help when asked. Even if he usually operates on the favor system...He has the expected supernatural strength & senses of a cambion, as well as a more nocturnal schedule. / endingfairy
{ Cliarthairi } -- Lebanah 'Ban' Coelho. 43. Basilisk. Sorcerer> Magic - Ban claims that his magic is simply the ability to teleport at the cost of his health and energy. He augments it with a variety of weapons to deadly effect. > Weapon - Always with him is an Accuracy International AXSR that can be swiftly disassembled and reassembled to fit in the long black case slung across his back, a SIG Sauer P226, a Glock 19, and a variety of knives. Everything from tactical, to switchblades, karambits, and throwing knives. Of course, every blade and bullet is formed of silver or inscribed with cleansing runes that make them fatal to demons. They're also enchanted not to break on all but the toughest hide. Curiously, he carries around an abundance of small mirrors. > Brief Desc - Ban stands at 6'0 with pale, almost washed out brown skin that is strangely free of scars but for the pale slash that runs through his left eye and cuts into his cheek. His eyes are oblique, with the right being a faded amethyst and the left blinded into murky blue-gray. He has short, thick brows and unruly silvery hair that falls just past his ears. His features are severe and unsmiling, dark circles and bags highlighting the world-weariness in his gaze. There's often silvery scruff or even a beard aging him further. Ban is lanky and appears malnourished on the rare occasions he is found bereft of his uniform. He wears a black leather choker with an ornate key suspended from it but otherwise wears his uniform exactly to regulation. Instead of a cloak he wears a black military coat, the better to conceal his weapons. > Traits - ( adaptable, levelheaded, observant : caustic, pessimistic, selfish ) > History - Lebanah is a higly-decorated and well-known Exorcist but he hates it and actively tries to ruin any good opinion that others might have of him. He was retired for at least a year before being forced back into the spotlight after the sudden rise in demon activity. He has returned to his alma mater to fight in their cause but violently refuses to take on any students. Many look to him for aid- but not stability. He doesn't have any left. He drinks and smokes on the job constantly, but somehow never misses a shot and has yet to be injured. In fact, that is what he's most known for. One of his monikers is 'Ban the Immortal' or 'Ban the Scatheless' because his only recorded injury is the one to his eye. > Extra - He has had three Cells in his lifetime. Every single member is dead. Ban is obsessed with rabbits and used to keep them as pets. He may look intimidating until you notice his cute rabbit-patterned socks or tie-clip. He hates for this fact to be acknowledged because of his name, but he doesn't make it any easier for himself by quoting 'Alice Through the Looking Glass' unprompted. { KEY LOCATIONS } > There are Seven Wings. The majority of the school has been carved into Ravens End mountain but the exposed part looks like an upside down fortress. The interior is right side up, of course. <
* Armory: Located near the Arena, where all weaponry both modern & magical is kept.
* Artifact Room: Almost a trophy room full of both magical artifacts, pieces of history, and demon...parts that are still being tested or studied.
* Arena: An outdoor arena set up similarly to a colisseum at the base of the mountain. Its terrain can be altered magically by ringing the bell at the highest point of the stands, and demons are occasionally brought in from the dungeons it's connected to via underground tunnels. Where most official duels are held, but also used for training and sparring. It's large enough for three separate Cells to operate independently.
* Barracks: A row of buildings across from Training Ground Talon that normally house visiting Exorcists and the Gallóglaigh. There are three rowhouses with the farthest one being used to shelter young orphan cambion.
* Campaign Rooms: Of which there are ten. These rooms are set with a large round stone table and walls of maps & texts on strategy and demonology. The center of the tables feature a suspended prism-shaped mirror that allows for scrying. They're also equipped with three Gates each. As the name suggests, these rooms are meant for planning out missions.
* Common Rooms: The large living spaces that each individual set of dorm rooms opens out into. Cozy and decorated in House colors. Kirin's is deemed the most comfortable. Amarok's is the most modern. Basilisk's is the most unique as a hodgepodge of decorations and items catering to the various demon species that live there.
* Classrooms: Vary depending on the subject, but are all in the same wing for ease of travel.
* Dungeons: At the very bottom of the school. Where captured demons are kept. Nerium's lab is also located here.
* Eastern Beak Tower: The base of operations for members of the Intelligence Division. It's shaped like a raven's beak made of a purple crystal. Attracts lightning during thunderstorms.
* Eastern Courtyard: Partly shadowed by an overhang but gets a good amount of natural light when the sun is positioned well. Located at the outer edge of the castle and one of the best places to watch the sun rise. Features benches, gardens of flowers, three plant-covered gazebos, and the statue of a skeletal being. They're depicted in the Preceptor uniform, hollow eye sockets pointed upward as they take a step forward and hold aloft a large cracked tablet bearing the names and portraits of all Felblanc's dead. Magic allows for every name and picture to be perceived with ease despite the tablet's size.
* Great Hall: The large interior hall with high vaunted ceilings and stained glass windows featuring epic battles. Where all major meals take place. It features rows of benches and long tables according to House but students are free to sit wherever they'd like. Towards the back are raised tables and chairs so that staff and Prefects & Signifiers can oversee everything. The Headmistress is of course in the center with her Deputy on her right. For major announcements, gatherings, and balls it's cleared of furniture.
* Greenhouse: Situated in an outbuilding atop the mountain and in the first part of Ravens End Forest. Primarily for potion & poison ingredients.
* Hexagone: A hexagonal outbuilding that is across from the Forge but can be accessed via the castle proper. The R&D building where scholarly and inventive types craft new weapons, spells, techniques, etc to be used in the field.
* Library: A large room with high ceilings and two floors. The stairs to go between them are in a large spiral with serpentine grooves set into the supporting pillar. There are towering bookcases that can grow shorter should one wish to reach a higher book, they need only knock in Morse code for the corresponding letters of the author's surname. Filled with books on magic, history, demonology, weaponry, combat, strategy, and everything one would need to become a successful Exorcist. The resident librarian is an ancient imugi who keeps a watchful eye over students and staff alike. He mainly lingers by the Restricted Section on the second floor.
* Ravens End Forest: A dark, gnarled forest on top of the mountain that is used for training and ingredient gathering.
* Ravens End Town: A good-sized Irish town that leans into its kookiness and acts as a tourist spot for those interested in the occult. Some residents hate the school and others admire it. Students can visit it on the weekends provided a Prefect is accompanying them.
* Pheltronan Cave System: A labyrinthine cave system located within the mountain proper and accessed either at its base or not far from the Headmistress' Office. A complex spell has been cast there to draw in any demons attempting to pass through the Veil on or around the island. They are then trapped within and hunted at leisure, but some can be reasoned with.
* The Forge: Where students and staff with the talent for it can smith their own weapons. For those without the gift, its manned by Exorcists who specialize and take requests.
* The Infirmary: It's actually rather small because so many students and staff are capable of healing magic. It's usually used for injuries and illnesses that can't be easily treated, or in times of war when there aren't enough healers to go around...
* Training Grounds Beak & Talon: The Beak location is on top of the cliff while the Talon location is at its base. They're both meant for combat and more violent magic training.
* Western Beak Tower: Where the resident Poltergeist resides. The spire is shaped like a raven's beak.
* Western Courtyard: Also overshadowed by an overhanging building. The plants and wildlife here are rougher as it has more demonic energy. Also features benches and little common areas for students to gather. Some prejudiced Amarok and Kirin stay clear. The best place to watch the moon rise. At its center is the bronze statue of a bearded sorcerer in Celtic armor. His sword is sheathed at his side and he wears a smile, one hand offered up as if in invitation. If a person places their hand in his, they'll be set ablaze if their heart is impure.

+ A new school year begins! Felblanc staff and returning students alike attempt to keep morale up amidst the looming threat of powerful demons appearing with worrying frequency.
+ Mysterious creatures that can only loosely be called 'demons' made a sudden appearance during the Entrance Exam and slaughtered at least five examinees. The protagonists attempted to kill them but found they couldn't be destroyed through normal means...
+ Less accepting Exorcism schools and organizations are laying the blame upon Felblanc's non-discriminatory doors. Tensions between 'pure' exorcists and cambions are rising as pressure is put on Felblanc to either confess or end the escalating demon attacks.

* Students must be in their Common Rooms by the 1:30AM curfew. Only Prefects & Signifiers are permitted to roam the grounds after that time for patrols.
* Students can visit each other's Common Rooms until 12AM and Dorms until 10PM.
* Weapons are to remain in the Armory when not in use and cannot be brought into Dorms or Common Rooms.
* Students are allowed to wear casual/personal clothing on weekends and holidays.

* It is a Prefect's duty to supervise and police their housemates. They are permitted to mete out reasonable punishments with the permission of their Signifier.
* Signifiers supervise the Prefects and have the ability to order a punishment or detention if they see fit. It is also their duty to organize school events and take charge when other staff are absent.
* Prefects and Signifiers are to wear their rank pins during the school day.
* Summoning, Contracting, and Sealing demons is not permitted outside of a class setting or without the presence of a Preceptor who specializes in the subject.
* The use and brewing of dangerous potions or spells is forbidden outside of a classroom setting.
* All Prefects, Signifiers, and school staff must be respected.
* Students cannot enter or take anything from the Artifact Room without express permission.
* No student may enter Pheltronan without an accompanying Cicerone or Preceptor.
* Azure Students can visit Ravens End on weekends as long as they're accompanied by a Prefect. Older students can visit without supervision.

The sun is blazing cheerfully in the sky by the time they arrive. It doesn't do much to warm them against the bone-chilling gusts of wind that hurtle in from the ocean at their back, but at least the sky looks nice. Lapis blue and studded with puffy, lazily drifting clouds that promise a beautiful day ahead. If he focuses on that, he can almost forget the ominous gaping maw in front of him. Full lips pressed into a thin line, Sorachi shuffles a bit closer to the veritable pillar that is the cambion on his right. He's too old to clutch at his sleeve like he had when they were kids, but he probably isn't doing much better by trying to become one with his vibrant haori. Maybe if he gets close enough, he can leech some of his confidence.
Displaying his uncanny ability to know what Sorachi is thinking and twist it to suit his weird proclivities, Ryuzaki says, "It's a beautiful day to die, isn't it?"
Sorachi closes his eyes with a sigh. "Please don't say morbid things like that."
"What?" Ryu widens his own and looks down at him with a puzzled frown. "We're not going to die, obviously. I mean just in general. Wouldn't you like to die on a day like this?"
"I'd rather not think about it at all, actually." Sorachi counters stiffly. "They're putting us in a hole."
"It's a cave."
"Which is a hole." There is little difference between a freshly dug grave and a hole. But of course Ryu fails to make this connection.
Ryuzaki huffs out a laugh at that, lifting his gaze once again to the pitch black, jagged opening in the cliff face that all of the potential students have been steadily gathering around. The young onmyōji allows his eyes to fully open so that he can look around as well, seeking another distraction. There are still student hopefuls arriving from the Gates lining the beach, some with the staff or older students who scouted them. Unfortunately his lack of height doesn't provide much to see but the crush of bodies and little displays of nervous energy, but he does spot a figure perched on a boulder near the cave entrance.
It's a woman who looks to be similarly vertically challenged, but unlike Sorachi's much more subdued wardrobe, she's wearing bright clothing that stands out against the warm brown of her skin and pastels of her eyes and hair. A white one piece...swimsuit? With a trio of golden buttons worn underneath a gauzy opalescent jacket. Her white heeled boots halt at her knees, the golden bells attached to the zippers chiming as she idly swings her legs. She's holding a sheaf of papers in hands adorned with pale pink cat paw gloves, and matching cat-shaped hair clips decorate her powder blue halo of curls. Her heart-shaped face is serene, making her appear all the more doll-like. He can't quite determine whether she's a student or a proctor. One brave redhead steps up to question her, but she laughs like a chorus of bells and waves a hand at them. He's too far away to hear her words, but the redhead is mystified.
After a few more minutes filled with anxious chatter has passed, the woman flicks the papers into nonexistence and rises to her feet. A hush of anticipation comes over those gathered, and all eyes turn to her despite how soundlessly she moves. It's like they know. She just has an aura about her.
"Hello and welcome." She isn't shouting yet her soft melliflous voice carries over the howling wind and crashing of the waves- a spell, perhaps?
"Thank you for choosing Felblanc as your path to a brighter future. I am Logestilla Waters, the Deputy Headmistress of our beloved school." Her smile brightens as she says this, lavender eyes glinting in the sunlight. "I hope and trust that you have already signed your waivers and notified your next of kin, as the entrance exam is soon to be underway." She gestures toward the cave entrance on her left. "But first, I must make something clear to you all." The smile doesn't fade, but it dims slightly as she affects a more solemn tone.
"Remember this is not a school for learning magic. You are learning to kill. You must be prepared to take lives and lose yours before you step into our hallowed halls. Before you step into that cavern. This is an exam to weed out the weak. The meek. And the uncompromising. You will not hunt alone. If you are to be accepted, you will be placed on a team that you may have for the rest of your lives, no matter how short they may be. I will tell you now that we are also grading on how well you work together. Be a solo act if you wish, but we do not encourage exorcists to die alone."
She exhales softly, "Now, I cannot guarantee your safety. If any one of you is unprepared for the cruel but rewarding life we are offering, you may leave now and no one will think less of you for it." Logestilla sweeps a hand toward the Gates, watched over by a grinning blond who likewise gestures toward them as if revealing the prize on a gameshow.
Sorachi listens as a ripple of unease passes through those gathered. A general murmur of disbelief and discontent as someone mutters, "Who ever heard of dying in an Entrance Exam!" and another "what does she mean it's not safe?!" But due to pride, most likely, people shift and shuffle but no one moves. As expected, Ryuzaki's wild grin only sharpens and Sorachi sighs, but gives a small nod of his own. He came this far, he's not about to back down now. Or ever.
" Very well then." Logestilla folds her hands before her, eyes crinkling. " I commend you all on your courage and dedication! I pray it holds true...In order to succeed, you must enter Pheltronan and retrieve a cursed object from within one of its many chambers. The object in question can be anything, it is up to you to determine whether or not it is cursed and banish it. For those unfamiliar with exorcism magic, destroying the cursebearer will be enough to render it safe to transport. Each object has three halves and thus must be returned by three individuals. You have one hour." She claps her hands. " Begin!" -- ( Ravenshadow , here's part one of my starter! )

Sorachi steadies himself with Ryuzaki's arm as a contingent of student hopefuls rush to the cave. His friend dearly wants to be one of them, but the shorter teen tightens his grip and attempts to steer him toward Logestilla's perch. The cambion growls but relents, following dourly until they stand underneath her boulder. Sorachi calls up to her, "Excuse me! How will we make it back to the entrance?"
Logestilla bends at the waist to smile down at him. "Count the lights."
The onmyōji hums pensively. Ah, so it's a puzzle. But at least he knows they'll be able to see.
"Are those the only conditions for success?" He asks next, glancing at his watch.
"Hmm, well returning alive is a victory of its own, isn't it~?" She smiles beatifically.
"True." He agrees weakly. So no openly helpful answers, then. Brow furrowed as Ryu tugs on his arm like a stubborn toddler, Sorachi calls up a 'thank you!' and waves with his free hand before submitting to being pulled into the surge of bodies entering the cave. His friend's enthusiasm causes him to bump into a girl with leathery wings, and Sorachi attempts an awkward on-the-go bow with a rushed, "Sorry about that!" Just as the light of the sun is abruptly swallowed up.
One moment he can clearly see her features and the next...nothing. Sorachi squeaks- though he'd insist later that he was clearing his throat- and presses closer to Ryu, who doesn't even stop to acknowledge the change. They bump into a few of the smarter witches and wizards who actually pause to take in their surroundings. Or lack thereof. Someone stumbles into what might have been a cave wall with an 'ouch!' and another complains of having their foot stepped on before a witch near the center conjures a mage-light and holds it aloft.
The soft blue glow reveals that they are indeed standing in the cave entrance, but when looking back are met with a distant, vaguely circular light that suggests the mouth of the cave is quite some distance away.
Sorachi whisper-counts his steps and comes up with nine. They'd barely stepped inside! He frowns and moves back in a bid to check the distance properly but Ryuzaki is still pressing forward, carelessly moving those in front of him out of the way. He uses a hand and mutters an 'excuse me' but his efforts are not appreciated, especially considering he'd switched back to japanese. "Come on, Sora! We won't get lost, I can trace our way back by scent."
"O-okay, but let's not go too deep!" He protests, voice soon swallowed up by the ominous thrum of the stone around them as Ryuzaki practically whips him into a little-used tunnel. There are a few student hopefuls taking the same route but Ryu seems determined to out-strip them.
"Slow down!" Sorachi hisses, "we need a third person, remember?"
He only recieves a grunt as answer, but their pace does lessen and Sorachi attempts to discretely assess those around him. By the glow of mage-light, he can tell that three have already grouped up and are discussing strategies while another four seem to simply be following the tunnel to see where it leads. As they venture deeper into the caverns, strangely shaped stones that appear to be set in the walls at random intervals gradually increase in lumosity until they're flickering like flames. They wash everyone with a gentle green glow, and Sorachi ceases his one-handed attempts to create a light spell. Instead he wants to observe the stones more closely and get a head start on parsing the Deputy Headmistress' meaning, but Ryuzaki is as single-minded as usual. Sorachi realizes belatedly that he's tugging him along by the wrist. It seems it's another habit they have yet to break. Ah, that's embarassing-!
It isn't long before they come to a fork in the downward sloping path. Three separate tunnels to choose from, and the center one shows an incline. Ryuzaki actually halts at this, and releases the hand Sorachi had been discretely trying to wiggle free from. He plants gloved fists on his hips as he considers each, likely attempting to sense or scent some difference between them. Seeing an opportunity to be of use, the shorter teen clears his throat and steps around the cambion. "I can create a curse-seeking ofuda to help us pick a direction. We'd have less chance of wandering in circles." This he says in english, an open offer to anyone listening. If they're being judged on how helpful they are, he can at least do this much!

Finding a group of peeps. || Onyx POV || (do I need to edit anything?)
Onyx peered around at the students who were gathering in groups of three. While she figured that she could just tag along with any random group, she wanted to see if anyone appealed to her first. When she didn’t see anyone who she liked, she took a deep breath and plunged into the cave. Her dagger came out from its sheath and she carefully conjured a small ball of black flame in her hand. It gave off a small light for her but she knew if any others passed it would be hard to see. When she saw someone lingering in the darkness of a corner she gripped the knife harder and came over to them. They were holding a huge sword and seemed to have seen her coming. Giving a small cough she said, “Uh hey I don’t have a group. Do you know how to do this?”

Zinna wasn't scared. She had passed the exam already, and this one couldn't be much different. She was pretending to be an Azure student this year, there to protect the Azure students while they try to pass. All my job is make sure nobody dies. She wasn't responsible for if they passed. Logestilla Waters, the deputy headmistress rises to her feet, and the area goes silent. Zinna listened intently to the words she said, but it was similar to last years. Her hand gripped her signature weapon, a long sword that she never parted with. I really hope no one dies. Zinna exhaled, her mind focusing back on Logestilla Waters. "Groups of three. Got it" She murmured under her breath. That was the gist of it anyways. Zinna took a step toward the cave, then rushed to the opening with the others.
It was dark in the cave, all she could see (feel more like) was the bodies of the beings around her, some gasps as the light disappeared. Make a plan. She pushed her way to one of side pathways, conjuring a small plume of flame in her palm so she could see the path in front of her. It was a wider tunnel, definitely not one of the smaller ones. Should I wait here and join a group as they pass by? She wondered. Zinna started forward again, not wanting to be caught just standing there. She slowed her steps, not wanting to give herself away by charging straight into the unknown. Look around you, maybe there's someone who needs help.

Ada clasped her hands together, feeling them go sweaty. She wanted to get into this school, but she didn't want to die. Or fail. It seemed as though they were dismissed, as others were rushing to the entrance of the cave, eager to start the exam. Some hung back, probably thinking over their choices, like her. Am I thinking over my choices, or just standing here? Ada made up her mind, deciding to go on. She walked to the entrance, stepping inside and looking around. The sun was gone. That was her first thought, but when she looked back, she could still see the entrance although it looked further away then what she had thought. Now everyone was splitting up, going through different caves. Someone had lit a blue light. She picked a cave at random, a small one that not many others had chosen. I should be with others. But she wasn't one for introductions so she rushed past them.
There were two hopefuls in front of her, but she didn't rush in front of them, as they were going at a rather brisk pace. She did follow them however. As they came to a split, the two beings in front of her stopped, and so did she. "I can create a curse-seeking ofuda to help us pick a direction. We'd have less chance of wandering in circles." The shorter one said. That sounds good. Ada thought. She made up her mind, walking towards the two. "Hello" She said, wringing her wrists. "Could I join you?" She asked.

Zinna stopped at a fork, scanning the passage around her. Not many others were here now, there must have been other openings in the passage she had walked right past. She dimmed her flame slightly, and spotted a shadow coming towards her. Whatever it was, was holding a dagger. She took her sword out of her belt, extinguishing her flame. Once the being came into her vision, she lowered her sword, seeing they were a hopeful. “Uh hey I don’t have a group. Do you know how to do this?” It said. Zinna blinked. The being before her had goat legs and leathery wings. Zinna opened her left palm, letting her flame light up the area around them. "Neither do I, I'm Zinna, by the way" Zinna said. "Do you want to go right or left?" she asked. "Maybe we can pick up a third member as we go along"

Noice sword | Dew Onyx looked at the two dark passages. “Well, if in doubt, always choose left.” She put her dagger away hesitantly and it was immediately concealed in her hoodie. Her green eyes noticed the stare of the fellow person. Honestly, you’d think I had some sort of disease from the way they look at me! She shifted uncomfortably and her small black hoofs gave a characteristic clack against the stone. “Nice sword.” She said it to ease the uncomfortable tension, but she wasn’t sure how much it helped.
