I always said if they actually went through with Squirrelstar I was done with the series - unfortunately it looks like I have to keep my word. The most I can hope for rn is that she and Bramble are lying, which is entirely possible given the weird storm. Why would they put that in if there wasn't supposed to be some ambiguity about her being TC's true leader? Either that or she gets voted out - either works for me, and if the Erins are actually brave enough to do it in the face of a bunch of random fans who like her I'll be super proud of them, actually. I'm glad they're not going the direction of Squirrelflight suddenly being a good leader - she's always been incredibly poor at diplomacy, stubborn, and unwavering. At least she'll make for an interesting bad leader!

Also, everyone in this thread being like "Frostpaw got spayed? But what about her having kids!" is so infuriating omg. That sentiment* the reason the three felt abandoned after finding out about their parentage! Frostpaw can adopt - no wonder the Erins treat adoption so poorly if this is how it's generally treated in the fandom I know that they did it so she won't have kits but I have to hold out that maybe, after how horribly they treated adoption in POT/OOTS, they'll use this as an opportunity to turn over a new leaf. Maybe she'll even find a kit in the Park and take them on as her own - maybe this will be Wafflepaw. Not that she needs another responsibility rn!

I'm one of the people who was shocked at Frostpaw getting spayed (although I don't really care if she had kits or not later on, as long as it wasn't with Splashtail). But anyway, being shocked at this happening to her doesn't mean people who wanted her to have kits of her own are automatically anti-adoption or "being the reason the three felt abandoned after finding out about their parentage", like what?! That doesn't even make any sense.

How did you get the logic that people being shocked at her getting spayed equals to people being anti-adoption? The issue here is that Frostpaw makes it clear that one of her dreams is to have kits of her own, and the idea made her very happy. Personally I don't care if she did have them or not, as long as it wasn't with Splashtail. Frostpaw was spayed, now she can't have kits of her own, and this was all done WITHOUT her knowing, without her consent in the storyline. And the horseplace cats just casually say she's fine and it's not a big deal. When from a character point of view, one of her dreams literally just got ripped from her without her getting a say in it. I would love for her to adopt in the future, but it also doesn't change the fact that Frostpaw will probably find out the hard way that she's incapable of having her own biological litter.

To jump in, it obvious because she will unhold the no kits rule of being a medicine cat. I think that's the end game for her. They made sure of that ahead of time. Plus she probably got some vaccines (trap/neuter/release will do one time vaccinations usually) similar to Millie of not getting green cough, etc. I know it seems really horrible cause cats with human intelligent books but I don't want anyone demonizing TNR for feral/strays. 

Oh no I agree, it's something that should always be encouraged for ferals/strays, because from a human point of view, it's logical. Which is why I said from Frostpaw's pov, as a character, it's not so great. I hope it's not something people use as an excuse to demonize it as well.

3 days have passed since Frostpaw left on her journey. She doesn’t seem any more comfortable with Nightheart than when they started even though he seemed friendly and amiably chatted about his Clan, kin and mate. She wonders about Nightheart possibly being Reedwhisker’s murderer but instinct tells her the murderer is in her own Clan.

After reaching a meadow, they make camp for the night. Nightheart goes hunting while Frostpaw makes the nests after she convinces him she would be fine alone in the open and eventually falls asleep into a dream. She wakes up in unfamiliar territory and Riverstar greets her and tells her that this is the place the Clans were born and that the river present once nurtured and protected him. He tells her to listen to her instincts and that he can’t tell her who attacked her even though he knows. He says that StarClan can help and will, but can’t tell her everything yet and that she will understand when this is over. He tells her to follow the Thunderpath with 3 stripes.

Frostpaw rants about StarClan’s vagueness to Nightheart while they eat. Nightheart tells her it’s not just StarClan who’s being annoying, it’s her because there is clearly a lot she isn’t telling him and clearly doesn’t trust him. Frostpaw is now certain that Nightheart isn’t the murderer and is pleasant company but can’t shake the suspicion that he was only here to be remembered as a great warrior. She remembers how loyal he seemed to his Clan and kin given what he shared about then to her and apologizes, saying she doesn’t know who to trust and Nightheart understands. She promises to tell him once she understands everything.

They reach a river below a valley and Frostpaw leads him to the shore to teach him how to fish, but she already sees a huge pile of fish at the riverbank. Nightheart warily suggests they should leave but Frostpaw is too intent on wanting to eat one of the fish and two otters emerges from the water and they attack. Ultimately, Frostpaw and Nightheart save each others lives and defeat the otters but Nightheart is left with a severe leg injury. After they flee towards a birch corpse, Nightheart falls unconscious.

Big rip with StC withholding crucial information, even if we all already know who it likely is. That said, Thunderpath with three stripes? "Life is a highway ~🎵" Also, big rip with Nightheart getting an injury. Where's a Park cat when you need one?
