serves Berryheart right. I can’t believe what she is turning into. I’m hating Sparrowtail as well, what a coward. Hollowsppring is pathetic following them, leave them to rot! I’m glad Spireclaw had the brains to stay, even if it was just because of Fringewhisker.

Is it bad that I don't think Berryheart was completely wrong with wanting Tigertwo out of power? A lot of the ShadowClan cats didn't seem against opposing her idea, and the only reason they didn't stand up to him was fear of being exiled too. Puddleshine claims the rule is being exploited, but personally, I don't see how?

I suppose he could mean if someone is doing it just because they're being petty or something, which I can sort of understand since that's not what the code is for. But in this specific situation I don't really see how it's being "exploited" here.

I don't think she's wrong either. He's shown time and time again to be a terrible leader. 

also Firefly from the park told Nightheart and Sunbeam before they left that she would name her kits Night and Frost.

Bramble and Squirrel are definitely lying. The whole thing seems fishy to me. It wasn’t that easy for Nightpelt or Sunstar, so why should it be now?

I agree, the whole thing seems suspicious, but what do you mean it wasn't that easy for Sunstar? Pinestar stepped down willingly and he was given eight lives instead of nine because Pinestar had still been alive at the time. The same would've been expected to happen to Squirrelflight since Brambleclaw is clearly still alive, unless the whole "eight lives if the leader is still alive" thing gets reconned later on. Brokenstar however still had more than one life with him when he was driven out and had only abdicated by force.

Just finished this thread, and wow, there's a lot that I love about this arc. What a fun spoiler thread!

I certainly never expected my comments of "this poor girl needs therapy" to actually be addressed - and in a very helpful way too? This makes me very happy.

-Does anyone else really love the protags this arc? Or at least finds them more interesting than the TBC protags. Like I loved Shadowsight but can't say the same about Bristle or Root. But I know for sure that I love Nightheart and Frostpaw, and now I'm starting to like Sunbeam too after she stood up for herself after Cherryfall mistreated her.
Oh no, I'm growing attached to these cats! Please Erins, don't pull another Bristlefrost, I don't think my heart could take it.

-Being a bit nitpicky here, but I kinda wish there could be separate spoiler tags for the Wind blurb. I definitely get why people would discuss it - this is a spoiler thread, after all - but these threads are more fun for me when I don't know what'll happen in the next book. Tbh I blame the people who put too many spoilers in the blurbs for this.

So Waffle and Wasp go with them, I see. I'm wondering if Bee will still turn up later considering his dreams but who knows. How sweet of Firefly to want to name her kits after Nightheart and Frostpaw <3

Dang, that really blew up in Berryheart's face! I mean, I want Tigerstar to be removed as leader too but this attempt just did not work out well.

Puddleshine was quite smart to trick her like that into thinking he supported her to showcase how "easily the new rule could be exploited over one disagreement on a decision" though (although there are multiple issues with Tigerstar, not just the RiverClan one, so I don't think it was really exploited here even though Berryheart is still completely in the wrong for how she went about trying to kill Fringewhisker and Nightheart during their trials).

Not surprised Sparrowtail is going with her into exile. Kinda sad Hollowspring is, because I really wanted him to also have a cross-Clan relationship so all of Berryheart's kits (even Needletail) had mates outside of ShadowClan.

Good on Sunbeam for continuing to stand up for herself and against her mother. Same with Spireclaw.

So Frostpaw's uncle Podlight is in on it too. I was honestly expecting Splashtail's sister Fognose to be the new medicine cat instead but oh well. Guess not.

Fake RiverClan leader Splashtail is right on schedule. Still want to know your deal, buddy! Like, why are so hateful at only like two years of age?

Now I don't get why the Wind blurb spoiled even that outcome of Frostpaw telling the Clans the truth. Because the Wind blurb revealed that the Clans don't believe her and she'll seek shelter in ShadowClan. Or why did they spoil Berryheart being exiled ad sick when she wasn't even shown to be during her exile or throughout Thunder?

Either way, this will all end in a big war, even if Squirrelstar doesn't want one. Berryheart is not done with her scheming (according to the Wind blurb) and Splashtail is just getting started (will become more violent according to the blurb as well).
