That's interesting. I don't remember if a kingfisher was ever even shown in the series. But Frostpaw knew what it was, so maybe it has. I agree with Frostpaw, though. StC is way too vague. I wonder who the cats will be. I'm kind of hoping for WarriorClan being honest, but it's probably the park cats.

Nightheart’s leg, while stiff, no longer hurts. He sees the kingfisher and it gives him an idea - the trees here are longer and the river narrower and they can climb them to cross. Frostpaw is happy they are going the right way and tells him about her dream last night. They climb onto the tree and are able to make it across, but not before Frostpaw gets haunted by the memory of watching her mother die after climbing a tree. But even when they reach the other side Frostpaw doesn’t want to get down as there may be dogs like last time.

Nightheart convinces her to continue to find the salmon-colored tree and after they cross moorland and a Twolegplace they see a tall fence woven from hard black branches twisted together to form neat arches. They squeeze between those branches and Frostpaw spots the salmon-colored tree, which stood alone and was lit by small stars sunk into the ground around it. They see cats prowling beneath the tree, who look at them warily. Nightheart suggests to leave as they are outnumbered but Frostpaw is looking at something he couldn’t see and tells him they have arrived and have found what they are looking for.

No, not Frostpaw getting PTSD from tree-climbing! Nice of them to have located the ancestral playground, though.

But idk, she's been in power long enough and temporarily leader. This position isn't really new to her. Though I am probably just reading into it far too much, lol

If Squirrel did get rejected by StC, wouldn't Alderheart be aware of that as well?

I really like when the writers remember certain things, like family ties, trauma callbacks, and etc. On the other hand, I'm starting to get tired of journey books, it feels like Frost and Night were only put together so they'd have two chapters to get through the journey faster, but even then it feels numbingly slow?

Unless I missed it, was he with them for the ceremony? Like in their dream and such. Maybe he could be keeping it a secret for the sake of his parents? Just a thought. 

Nightheart has been gone for more than a quarter moon. While Myrtlebloom, Bayshine, Sparkpelt and Finchlight are nice to Sunbeam, others give her doubtful looks. Brackenfir, old and a little forgetful, always looked surprised when he saw her, Plumstonw and Dewnose kept their distance and Cherryfall gave her suspicious looks when she played with Spotfur’s kits.

Ivypool approaches her for her second trial. Dewnose and Plumstone can’t understand why Sunbeam would still want to join ThunderClan now that Nightheart has left, but Lionblaze defends her. Ivypool tells her that her next trial will involve moving the stone at the very top of the cliff encircling the hollow by a few tail-lengths as it is dangerous as if it falls it could destroy the Highledge or smash a den. Ivypool tells her that Alderheart, Bayshine and Cherryfall will help her. They reach the stone, almost the size of a badger, and none of them are able to get their paws around the rock or move it. They see it’s round and decide to roll it onto something and they choose to find bark. Cherryfall thinks her idea of pushing the rock over the edge into the camp when abandoned would be quickest, but Sunbeam doesn’t want to risk damaging dens. Cherryfall complains for the rest of the time, pissing off Sunbeam, who snaps. Cherryfall asks her how dare she speaks to a senior warrior like that and says that when she was younger she always respected her elders, and they argue. Sunbeam wants to rake the old she-cat across her muzzle and notes how ShadowClan cats aren’t arrogant, bossy or convinced they’re better than everyone else. Bayshine intervenes and defends Sunbeam, ending the argument. Bayshine finds bark peeled from a sycamore that has twigs attached, and they roll the stone onto it. They pull the twigs of the branch to move the stone three tail lengths and are successful. Ivypool congratulates her and the others. Sunbeam is upset about Nightheart’s absence but Bayshine asks her to join him eating a squirrel and Sunbeam is grateful to have such a good friend.

Is Cherryfall really called an "old she-cat"??

Sunbeam is going to end up with Bayshine isn’t she
