(sorry for the late reply! school and work has picked up a bit so I might not be on as often 💗Hollyleaf💗 ) Larkbounce nodded, understanding. It's how he felt on the moor, after all. He knew that not all cats felt safe underground, like not all cats felt safe aboveground. "I understand. It's kind of like how I feel on the moor. I like having all the air around me, and running with the wind brushing against my fur? No better feeling."

"The burrows near Fourtrees" he blurted out without thinking. When he realized what he said, he wanted to run to a stone wall. Why did he suggest so close to the border? He really needed to stop thinking about her all the time... He flicked his tail to dismiss his jumble of emotions, hoping Talonscar wouldnt peep his frantic thoughts. He hated lying to his clanmates and was usually much better at blocking thoughts of his forbidden relationship from when he was on duty, but he hadnt seen her in nearly a moon and he was... well wasn't coping well. He turned and met his clanmate's inquiring gaze. "Only cause we havent tried there in a few sunhighs. We might get one last piece of luck before leafbare sets in." Talonscar | w/Redclaw (duskflower )Talonscar tilted her head to the side at his outburst, confused at why he seemed so tense. "Let's just be mindful of the border," She nodded at his comment and motioned for him to lead the way, still wondering about his behavior. As they went, Talonscar quickened her pace to match her clanmates and flicked her ear. "Is everything okay? You seem...distracted?" she asked, glancing at him briefly before returning her attention to the path ahead of them. She could just see the large oak trees that marked fourtrees in the distance, but they still had a bit of a ways to go. (im really sorry for the late reply its been a busy two weeks) Redclaw stiffened momentarily. So she did hear his slip up. Fear began to climb out of the corner he had always stuffed it in, already ready to spread in his mind and cause panic. But the warrior quickly caught control over himself and made his fur lie down almost as quickly as it rose. Talonscar can know something was up, but she didnt know what it was specifically. It could be anything frankly and Redclaw decided to go with the most basic and least suspicious one. "Oh nothing. Well... not nothing but... well Im just worried about leaf-bare," he replied, glancing up at the pale gray sky above. "The snows arent here yet but the rabbits have already started to head to safer ground. Have you spoken to any of the tunnelers? Usually one or two of them can sniff out a den of rabbits just before the worst of the season arrives."

(I feel you, no worries, life can be busy sometimes) Tigersong shivered at the thought of it. She didn’t hate the moors, really, but the thought of always being out in the open? It was nerve racking. She tried to cover her initial discomfort with a shake and a small smile. “Oh yeah, I understand. Isn’t it funny, how different cats living in one clan can think? Do you think we are born with these mindsets, or do we learn them? My father was a tunneler, and I always admired him, I’ve always felt that’s why I wanted to be one too. But could it have been more than that? How’d you know you wanted to be a moor-runner?” She asked, taking another bite of the rabbit.

Like, usually when a kit has two moor-running parents, they become a moor-runner and the same for kits with two tunneler parents. But of course, this isn't always the case. You might decide to chose a different path then your parents, or in your case with one parent a moor-runner and the other a tunneler, you got a taste of how each lived, and picked which one you thought was best for you. As for me, both my parents were moor-runners, and I guess it sounded like how I wanted to live." He shrugged and smiled. He didn't know quite how to explain it, but he guessed it had seemed simple back then. Of course, what he had said about Tigersong was merely speculation, an educated guess, but he was prepared for a snap back if it came to it.

The way my father talked about the tunnels was always intriguing to me. It really made me want to be just like him.” She said.

(For GustxArctic, Ice!)
Gustrunner, who had been grooming his fur and laying in the sun for some time now, relented and got to his paws. He was beginning to feel antsy, and the occasional spats between moor runners and tunnelers throughout the day were starting to wear down on him. Looking around to see if anyone would notice him slipping away, the tom began heading for the moors. Perhaps a good run would quash his boredom - and maybe a quick visit to the border for a chance to meet Arcticflower wouldn't hurt...
Silverglade padded into camp with a shrew and saw his brother slip out of camp. Flicking his ear in acknowledgement, he wondered what he was up to. We probably shouldn't be out alone, but maybe he's just catching up to someone else? the tom wondered, dropping his catch with the other prey. He shrugged and decided to let it go. I'm sure he's fine. He's one of my brothers, after all.

"You finish it. We're almost done with it anyways." He said, licking his lips of the blood that might have remained. "What do you think compelled Vixenfrost to choose a different path than you, or for you to choose a different path than him?"

Tigersong ate the rest of the rabbit graciously and then pushed the remains to the side, stretching her front paws out and yawning before she shrugged at his question. “He’s pretty fast and he loves to run. Otherwise, I think he just wanted to do what our mother did. He was obsessed with her,” she said, rolling her eyes, though her tone indicated she was remembering it fondly. “He followed her everywhere. Anything she did, he was right behind her. It was so annoying.”

(im really sorry for the late reply its been a busy two weeks) Redclaw stiffened momentarily. So she did hear his slip up. Fear began to climb out of the corner he had always stuffed it in, already ready to spread in his mind and cause panic. She hasn’t missed his initial panic at her question, as hard as he tried to hide it - but she couldn’t do much in terms of forcing him to answer. He could have his secrets, if he wanted to. She shrugged and looked ahead as they traveled on. “No I haven’t spoken to anyone about it yet. Perhaps we can do that when we’ve gotten to camp. Maybe asked Sagefoot.” She suggested. Redclaw felt a sigh of relief bubble in him at Talonscar's avoidance of his behavior, but pushed it down last minute. There was no need to let her see how much he was hiding his true feelings or at least not anymore than she knew. He opened his mouth to agree about the Sagefoot comment when just on the otherside of his hunting partner, he saw a small shape flicker among the heather. He froze and stuck his tail out to stop Talonscar in her tracks, hoping she'd notice it too.

Fireblaze stiffened and she forced herself to keep from looking desperately around her pelt to look for any wound that Cobblepaw might be able to see. Instead, she narrowed her eyes at the tom. "I'm fine. Just need to loosen up a bit on the moor." Without another word she turned and stalked towards the camp entrance, a mixture of fear that her secret would be discovered and irritation at the apprentice clouding her vision. Maybe she should go find Palegaze. Swiftstar side-eyed his deputy. "You don't have to remind me." He said with a small chuckle to hide his nervousness about the subject. What would happen to WindClan if he died in the middle of all of this disfunction? What would happen to his kits? The thought of Fallowmeadow raising their newest litter alone gripped his chest like a set of badger claws and he let out a wheezing cough to try to ease the tightness. "I think we should both go." He said after a moment. "Having our highest ranking moor runner and tunneler together will be a message worth sending I think." Rabbitkit nodded as Wheatkit spoke. "Yeah! We could be a tree climbing family!" he agreed. ((I think Swift and Sage need to finish their convo, then he's gonna call a clan meeting.))

She wondered if she should bring it back up and just outright ask why he lied, but she knew that wouldn't go well. Accusing someone of lying wasn't a great way to build trust with your clanmates. Talonscar flicked her gaze over to where Redclaw was looking and immediately stilled, dropping into a crouch. She turned and nodded to him, letting him take the lead since he had noticed it first.

Sagefoot dipped her head, "You have my whole-hearted support Swiftstar. I want my daughters to grow up in a less divided clan. I know Stonepath and I are both tunnelers, and they both chose to follow in our pawsteps, but I hope they know they could have been moor-runners too if they had chosen that path. I hope no kit has to fear what their parents think of their decision to train." Fallowmeadow purred, pulling the kits close to her, whispering playfully "Well you can tell your father that later then. He acts tough but sometimes he forgets how to climb down."

Swiftstar nodded. "I appreciate your support Sagefoot. I think this may be a bit of a thorn in some of our clanmate's side, but I think having both of us in support should help clear some of their minds." He paused for a moment and gave Sagefoot a warm smile. "Thank you for thinking this through with me - though I think you could have handled it on your own." He gave a small smile to his deputy. He remembered the she-cat's warrior ceremony - it had been one of the first he had done as leader.
Over the moons she had grown into a fine warrior, mother, and now one of his most trusted confidants. She would make a great, level-headed leader someday though it pained Swiftstar to think that he wouldn't be around to see it. He broke his gaze from Sagefoot and glanced outside of the den where Fallowmeadow was playing with their kits. Would he miss their warrior training, like he would miss Sagefoot's leadership?
A deep-set fear gripped his chest, straining his already-damaged lungs. He let out a few low coughs, forcing the fear out of his mind. I'm the leader of WindClan.he chided himself. I would lay down every one of my lives for my clanmates, I can't get caught up in the specifics.Shaking his head slightly, he stood and began to pad out into the camp.
