(I made a clan page for discussions and such here. Anyone wanting to vie for specific spots later on should say so there so I can keep track. Could also be a good gauge if the cats become one clan or two)

Ashfeather walks over to his kit and gently licks the top of his head. "Are you all right?" He questioned as he examines Emberkit. He looks back at Foxpaw and gives him a small nod. "Thank you."

(I think I'll wait a day, and if march isn't back by then I'll have Mothfeather join the others. She'll have been separated from Weaseltail and Softpaw after the dam broke, if that all sounds good. ) Slatepaw's questions were answered immediately, though indirectly, as two MireClan warriors broke out into an argument. One of the BrambleClan rogues stepped in to explain how the twoleg wall had broken, but what really caught Slatepaw's attention was the dream Halfstep described. It was eerily similar to the dream Cloudswirl had warned him about, but there was no mention of stars touching the earth... He continued lingering near the outskirts of the group, cautiously listening in on the unfamiliar cats' conversations. He perked his ears, caught off guard by Goldenheart's offer to join the hunting patrol. He'd been expecting his mentor to protest leaving StoneClan behind, but Goldenheart, his expression unreadable, seemed to accept the situation with the same strong and collected demeanor he always had. Slatepaw took a deep breath and reminded himself to remain calm and focused, even as the shock of the situation began to numb. After a moment of consideration, Slatepaw shook himself and silently joined the patrol. Though his eyes were beginning to sting from exhaustion, he didn't think he'd be able to sleep. Besides, he wanted to know more about the dream that MireClan warrior had mentioned.

Whisperingbreeze walked over to sniff over Foxpaw, her tail flicking slightly. "I... I'm not a medicine cat, but I've watched Mistflight before.", she said, looking over Foxpaw's burnt paw. "We need comfrey, but I have no idea how we'll find any here.", she said, looking around, her ears pinned back slightly in stress, before she stood, and called out over the cats. "Is there anyone that could help find some comfrey?", she called, hoping someone would be able to while she stayed with Foxpaw to see what else she could possibly do. "And marigold, we don't want the paw becoming infected.", she said, drawing on every memory she had of being fixed up, or the time she spent in the medicine cat after she'd broken her leg as a kit.
Sleekfeather was sure Rabbitpaw would be ok now, turning back to return to the group of her Clanmates. She glanced out across the territory, almost hoping that a huge group of cats would come, be reunited with family. But she knew that wasn't likely.

Goldenheart was quieter than normal as he looked for the usual signs of prey. He explained the basics and what to look for, but it was missing his usual cheerful chatter, "The fire should have pushed a lot of prey up this way too." "The wind shifted," Halfstep pointed out, "The smoke is clearing out, but we still smell like it. That should mask our scent." "That's true," Goldenheart nodded, "Let's split up. Slatepaw and I will go this way, while you three head down that path." The large, golden tom started along the Western edge, eyes peering down into the darkness. They really were gone, weren't they? Everyone... was gone... He sat down and gave a heavy sigh. "Slatepaw... are you okay? This is quite a lot. You can talk to me if it feels like too much." ( Sootfeather) --- "I'm okay!" Emberkit chirped, "Foxpaw kept me safe. He's really cool, he's going to be such a good warrior. I want to be like him!" "Ah, youth. Cheerful even in the darkest of situations," came an easy voice. A dark tom with white patches was perched on one of the ledges above them. Mooneye took an extra second to find the newcomer, "Who are you? I've never seen-" "Oh, I'm not one of you clan cats, don't worry. The name is Domino," the spotted cat stood and stretched, "I keep my own company usually, over at the campground with all the... twolegs is what you call them, right?" "You're a kittypet," Rabbitpaw growled, unsure what to make of male. "Loner," he corrected, "The housefolk called me a mouser. I was free to come and go and eat all the mice at the campground." "What do you want?" The half blind cat asked evenly. Domino jumped to another ledge, always staying above the clan cats. He was missing most of his tail, "I heard you needed comfrey and marigold. I know where to find some. If you guys wouldn't mind the help from a non-clan cat that is...?" ( runningsky123 Hawkeyes258)

Sleekfeather turned sharply at the sound of a new cat, watching him warily. She heard a few of her Clanmates murmur worriedly, and she put herself between them and the black-and-white tom. Whisperingbreeze hadn’t glanced up until he mentioned the herbs, standing up. “We need all the help we can get.”, she said, knowing they didn’t have the time or resources to be picky or standoffish. Foxpaw’s burnt foot would be a huge detriment if they didn’t get the right herbs on it immediately. She looked at Mooneye, hoping he would understand her desperation. There was already so few of them; they needed to do whatever they could to save those still there. Haven

Mooneye met her gaze and he nodded. He understood their need, and an apprentice with one foot in retirement was not what they could deal with right now. "I'll be back beautiful!" the tom leapt up several ledges before disappearing over the edge. Mooneye waited until he was gone for a bit before murmuring, "What do you think he's going to want for it. I don't trust it's for free." runningsky123

“I’m not sure we’re in a position to care what the price is.”, Whisperingbreeze said. “Not to mention, as small as our group is now, he’s one cat.”, she said. At least, she hoped he was only one cat. They didn’t need to have to deal with a rogue group on top of everything else. “We’ll just have to see.”, she concluded, watching where Domino had disappeared. She hoped he’d be back soon, as they needed to get herbs on Foxpaw’s paw as soon as they possibly could. Haven

Ashfeather narrows his eyes at the stranger as he talked. He didn't want to trust this cat but kept his mouth shut. Right now, the they would need all the help they could get. "Emberkit stay close to me." He said. Ashfeather wanted to keep his kit away from this Domino character.

Mothfeather | Haven , runningsky123 , march (if your still interested in the roleplay, you can have Weaseltail and Softpaw join the others a little later!) Mothfeather ran as fast as her legs would carry her, but the flood was outpacing her quick. She'd nearly reached a ledge near the base of the Mountain Steps, when a wave swept her up, dragging her head under the water. Helpless against the current, her claws scrambled frantically for a foothold in the dirt and mud. Miraculously, she snagged on a large rock and managed to drag herself out of water, nearly slipping on it's slick surface. Mothfeather immediately raced further up the rocky outcrop, gasping and tightening her grasp as another cold wave crashed against her hindquarters. As soon as she struggled far up enough to be safe from the water's grasp, Mothfeather fell to the ground, flanks heaving. "Weaseltail! Softpaw!" she half called, half wailed. Mothfeather had lost sight of them at the beginning their escape, and now, as her eyes scanned the dark, glinting waters, she saw no sign of them. For a while, she waited, shivering and staring down at the now flooded meadow, unable to wrap her head around the tragedy. At last, she gathered her strength and pulled herself off the ground, her soaked, muddy pelt heavy and her paws heavier. Her steps quickened as she caught the scent of her Clanmates, a small hope fluttering in her chest. " Mooneye!" she gasped as she broke into the clearing. " And Whisperingbreeze..." her voice trailed off. There didn't seem to be any other MeadowClan cats, and there was only a pawful of cats from other clans. " Is this everyone that made it...?" Slatepaw Slatepaw blinked slowly, not sure what to say. " I guess it's just hard to believe they're all gone so suddenly," he said absently. StoneClan was lost, his home drowned. He would never again hunt with his clanmates, or hear Rippletongue scold him for getting himself hurt. He would never compete with Redpaw or Daisypaw again, nor be welcomed as a StoneClan warrior alongside his peers. After a moment, Slatepaw dug his claws into ground and said, mostly to himself, " What are we going to do now?" He wasn't sure if he was referring more to his sudden lack of purpose, or the prophecy Cloudswirl had given him. Frustration, or grief, or something began to bubble up inside of him, making his tail twitch. " Any why would StarClan send messages to some random warriors? It doesn't make any sense!" he hissed suddenly. Slatepaw paused, letting his fur lie flat again. " I'm sorry, I'm sure there's a reason..." His eyes clouded over as he retreated back into his thoughts, too distracted to consider explaining further.

Whisperingbreeze had been checking over Foxpaw when she heard a cry further down the mountain, turning, bristling slightly, thinking for a moment something was coming for them. The water was at the Steps, they knew that, but they were high enough that they’d be safe. At first, she didn’t recognize the usually fluffy Mothfeather, her fur wet and plastered to her sides. As she got closer though, and a waft of her scent came to Whisperingbreeze, Foxpaw was momentarily forgotten as she bounded over to press her nose to Mothfeather’s cheek. They’d never been particularly close, friendly but nothing more. But she was a Clanmate, she’d survived. That was enough to fill Whisperingbreeze with a swell of emotion. Sootfeather

"I suppose..." Goldenheart began, "Maybe there was no way to save them.. or maybe..." Goldenheart looked up at the stars as if looking for answers, "Maybe... we really do have to leave it all behind. Our clans are over and we just have us now." His voice was quiet and low. Any louder and he would likely betray the tremble he felt inside him. He didn't have the answers, but being Slatepaw's mentor allowed him some strength to hold onto. It was easier thinking of him than his dead sisters or mother. "It's been a lot today. I'm going to hunt, but if it isn't making you feel better to have that purpose, then you can rest." Sootfeather--- "Mothfeather!" Mooneye started. He looked around, searching for her sister and feeling that gaping well in his chest grow almost large enough to swallow him. "It's just us so far... none of the clans faired very well. About 3 from each clan... except for Stoneclan, they only had two show up so far. Then there are two outcasts and a loner." As if by magic, the other black tom slid out of the shadows to drop a mouthful of herbs down before retreating back to one of the ledges. He seemed to prefer keeping space between him and the clan cats. His stub of a tail twitched, "Domino is the name, and you'll find enough there to treat a few burns." runningsky123

While Whisperingbreeze wanted to stay by Mothfeather, she turned at Domino’s return, waking over to the pile of herbs quickly. The faster she could get them on Foxpaw’s foot, the better it would be. She looked around, her gaze landing on the black she-cat from MireClan. Sleekfeather, she was pretty sure her name was. “You, Sleekfeather. I need a large leaf to keep this on his paw.”, she said. Sleekfeather nodded, bounding off without a word. She came back a few moments later with a large, shiny leaf in her jaws, setting it beside Whisperingbreeze. Whisperingbreeze started chewing up the herbs, licking them onto Foxpaw’s burnt paw, holding his leg down gently with her paws so he didn’t pull away. After she’d gotten the herbs on, she stuck the leaf to his paw, making sure it would stay the night. They’d have to figure out another solution once they started moving, but it would hold for now. She sat back with a sigh, before turning her head to Mothfeather again. “Did you see anyone else?”, she asked softly. Haven

Character SheetName: RainsongSex/Gender: Tom Age: Adult Rank: Warrior Pelt Color & Markings: Rainsong is a dark grey tom with light grey spots, muzzle, and chest. Eye Color: Light Blue Additional Physical Attributes: Picture: imgur.com/a/mgOAMOlPersonality: Rainsong is a very reserved tom, though not shy or introverted. He’s very friendly, but most don’t get to know his inner feelings or thoughts. He is incredibly loyal to his Clan, and would lay down his life for any of his Clanmates in a heartbeat. Strengths: Exceptionally good swimmer for a MeadowClan cat, agile, good at hunting. Weaknesses: Not as fast as his fellow Clanmates, can be a bit clumsy at times.Family: Runningcloud (mother, deceased), Mooneye (cousin). Open to a MireClan cat as his father. Sexuality: Questioning Mate: Open History: Rainsong was born and raised in MeadowClan, though his parentage is questionable. His mother was sisters with Mooneye’s mother, making the two cousins. His father, however, was never confirmed, as no MeadowClan toms seemed to be close enough to his mother Runningcloud to be his father. This especially ramped up when he grew old enough to leave camp, and his swimming skills were noticed, leading many to believe his father is a MireClan cat.Additional Information:

"Can I help?" Rabbitpaw mewed, looking up at Whisperingbreeze. Foxpaw had fallen asleep from the pain and while his sleep had been fretful at first, he had only recently relaxed. Rabbitpaw nudged the ground with a tan foot, "He's going to be okay, right?"
Mooneye tilted his head toward the loner, "Will you go find your twolegs now?"
Domino's eyes slid back to the scene of the disaster, "Nah... They're long gone with the campground turned into a lake. They probably think I'm a catfish by now."
"So... what then?"
The spotted tom grinned a toothy, rueful smile, "I figured I'd join you all."
"You want to be part of the clan?" Halfstep had returned with one of the brothers, setting down a hawk chick. She knew the loner. He wasn't unknown to most Mireclan and Stoneclan cats, given how much he enjoyed to flirt with the border.
"Part of the- what clan? Nah, I just figured we're all homeless now. Might as well tag along." Domino answered, "I ain't taking some dumb name like Bunnyhop or Bubblewing. Domino suits me just fine."

Haven“You can lay next to him to keep him warm, and get some sleep yourself.”, Whisperingbreeze said gently. “We’ll probably be leaving in the morning, and everyone needs to rest up.”, she said, flicking her tail across the apprentice’s shoulder. “If you do wake up during the night, press your nose to his to check for a fever if you remember. If not, I’ll try and do the same.”, she said. She had a feeling a good night’s rest wasn’t in her future. Sleekfeather had passed through the small group of MireClan cats that had survived, making sure they were all uninjured, also suggesting they all rest for the start of their journey the next day. She glanced out across what had once been the Clan’s territories, now just a huge lake, before clenching her eyes shut in grief. They’d lost so many good cats, and so many friends, family. She turned when she felt fur brush against hers, leaning back into her sister as Mapletail came to stand beside her. At least they had each other still.

Slatepaw | haven
"Maybe," he sighed. After having spent a little bit more time talking to Goldenheart, Slatepaw thought he could detect a dolefulness to the large warrior's voice. "I suppose I'll hunt as well. The survivors will all need prey," he said, nodding once. Slatepaw hesitated, then touched his nose to his mentor's flank, a gesture that was rare for him.
With the storm waning, the clouds had parted, revealing a patch of clear, starry sky. Slatepaw scented the air and scanned the landscape for prey, suddenly thankful to be out almost alone. The fresh, quiet breeze washed over him, helping ease away his thoughts and letting his mind focus on the hunt.
Mothfeather
Mothfeather returned Whisperingbreeze's gesture, managing a smile. "I'm so glad to see at least you two made it out okay," she said, looking them over. Luckily, they seemed uninjured, though Mothfeather felt a pang of sadness when she noticed Mooneye looking around, as if expecting other survivors to follow her arrival.
She twitched her ears at Whisperingbreeze's question, a small sense of guilt tugging at her heart. "I was with Weaseltail and Softpaw, but I lost track of them when the flooding started..." Her voice caught in her throat, and she sighed before continuing, "Tawnystar and Silvermane led most of the others to the lake." Mothfeather pressed her forehead against Mooneyes cheek. A memory flashed through Mothfeather's mind, from when she'd first caught wind of her sisters feelings for Mooneye, how she'd teased and encouraged her. It was hard to believe she was gone.
Mothfeather was brought back to the present as Whisperingbreeze quickly returned to her treatment of the BrambleClan apprentice. She hadn't expected the young warrior to take to healing so easily, but was glad that she was able to help. Tilting her head, glanced at the strange loner that had brought herbs to Whisperingbreeze. She knew nothing about the tom, but knew they could use all the help they could get. Mothfeather turned to Domino, bowing her head respectfully. "Well, regardless of what name you decide to keep, I have to thank you. Where'd you learn so much about herbs?"

Whisperingbreeze headed back over to the other two MeadowClan cats when she finished with Foxpaw, having heard Mothfeather’s words as she worked. She leaned against Mooneye slightly, hoping to comfort him slightly. If Silvermane had gone towards the lake, there was not much hope she’d made it. “Maybe Weaseltail and Softpaw made it up somewhere else on the mountain.”, she said softly, hoping that it was true. They couldn’t be the last three MeadowClan cats that survived. But if they were, at least they had survived. Whisperingbreeze had to try and find something good, or she wouldn’t be able to handle what had happened. Sootfeather

"Okay," Rabbitpaw mewled, laying next to her brother.
"Loners get scrapes and fevers too," Domino answered with a good-humored mrrow, his stubby tail flicked again at the memory of his loss of it. "An old cat who lived at the campground taught me some of it, and I've chatted with the old medicine cat from Stoneclan for the rest. I know enough to get by."
Mooneye had gone quiet upon hearing news of his mate. The one eyed tom silently turned back towards the new lake and laid down to stare out over it. He would be there for the rest of the night, ignoring anyone who spoke to him and pretending to have been asleep. This was his vigil.
--
Goldenheart didn't let Slatepaw go far before he affectionally butted against him with his great, big head.
He was far more affectionate.
About an hour past before Goldenheart led the way back with a couple fat mice and a snake. Upon seeing the new male he hissed and dropped the offerings.
Domino startled and turned to see the big, golden tabby. "Goldenheart... nice to see you. The scar looks nice."
"What are you doing here?"
"He's coming with us," Halfstep stepped between them, seeing how smart it was that Domino stayed up above them on the ledges. Meanwhile she was hardly half as large as Goldenheart and if the tom wanted to make a move, she could hardly stop him, "Just calm down."

Whisperingbreeze turned slightly when Mooneye turned and walked a few steps away, turning and following, sitting down beside him. She knew they all needed rest, but she also knew he would want to sit vigil for Silvermane. For all of their Clanmates. She sat silently beside him, gazing out over the new lake. It was so strange, how serene it looked now, having somewhat settled from its surge into the valley. There was no more fire, no more smoke except that lingering around. The only light was the stars and moon reflecting off the huge body of water where their territory had once been. It seemed too peaceful for what had happened that night. Sleekfeather finally turned away from the lake, she and Mapletail walking over to their Clanmates and laying down, tucked into a ball together, both exhausted now that the adrenaline of their escape had worn off. While they wanted to sit vigil, they were exhausted, like everyone else, and they needed their rest for the journey ahead. Sleekfeather made a quiet plan to say a few words the next morning, maybe have a time of silence to make up for their lack of a vigil. Haven

Honeykit found a place of curl up in a small dip between rocks. It was cold, and she shivered. The mottled tabby kit looked out at the solemn older cats scattered around her, and at the lake, shimmering in starlight.
It looks so pretty tonight! Honeykit crept closer. I could go exploring while the others are sleeping. It wouldn’t hurt any cat, wound it?

( Hello Slightdapple! Since Slatepaw is still out hunting, I can also have him find Honeykit, though Honeykit finding Rainsong does sound kinda fun) Mothfeather | runningsky123 , Haven Mothfeather blinked, curious to hear that the StoneClan medicine cat had been so friendly with the spotted loner. She didn't... hadn't known Rippletongue very well, but had seen her around at gatherings enough to gain a kind of respect for the old she-cat. The mottled warrior turned her head as Whisperingbreeze returned. " Yeah, " she said, her expression brightening slightly, " I was thinking it'd be a good idea to take a look around the mountain once the sun has risen, for anyone else who may have survived." Mothfeather gazed sympathetically as Mooneye left. She followed Whisperbreeze and joined the both of them, staring out at the newly formed lake, now still. It disturbed her to imagine her clanmates' bodies at the bottom of it. They won't even get a proper burial... She thought. After a long period of silence, she rested her tail on Whisperbreeze's, a new sense of energy coursing through her body. Mothfeather knew she'd do everything in her power to take care of her clanmates, however many were left. " You've been doing a great job tending to Foxpaw, I'm impressed," she meowed. " Though it's getting late, and it might be a good idea for you to get some rest." She paused. " In the morning, once we're rested, maybe we can push together some stones, and collect some flowers and feathers as a tribute to our lost clanmates." She couldn't tell whether Mooneye was actually sleep or not, but regardless, she gave him a reassuring lick on the forehead.
