(I haven't seen Over the Moon, but I'll have to check it out. Honestly once you gave him I name I knew xD) runningsky123Slipping out of the den Mapletail fluffed her pelt slightly to the chill of the night air. It was different to the warmth of the warriors den, but it wouldn't take longer for the longer furred she-cat to acclimate. Sticking closely to the walls of the camp. Mapletail briefly wondered who was on the night watch. If they caught the two sisters leaving would they be suspicious? They could lie and say they were practicing their night hunting, or tell the truth of their concerns with the smoke scent in the air. Lying didn't feel like something Mapletail wanted to do with a clan-mate, and if they told the truth would they insist they report to Palefish and Crowstar? With this dilemma in mind, Mapletletail wanted to avoid being seen leaving all together. It wasn't until they were outside of the camp walls did Mapletail allow herself to relax. going from crouching to a soft pad. If nothing was wrong they could simply bring back some prey or fish. It would explain their absence in the den, and it wouldn't be a lie if they returned with fresh-kill. If something was wrong, well... That was a bridge they would have to cross when they get to it. Once Sleekfeather broke the silence, Mapletail listened. Noting the concern in her sisters voice. Even if the scent of smoke hadn't caused her own alarm, if Sleekfeather needed her somewhere. She would follow, two heads always thought better than one. "I haven't smelt it in camp either." She admitted, never like this. At times while out on their territory, Mapletail would note time from time when the winds were strong that Brambleclan's territory was burning. But standing outside of Mireclan's camp. The smell was stronger than it had been in the warriors den. This concerned Mapletail, and she was grateful for her sister waking her up. Never had she smelt it like this before. Nodding her head in agreement to Sleekfeathers suggestion at investigation she spoke. We could head towards the lake possibly? The shoreline might be clear enough to see into Bramclan's territory, She thought aloud wondering the best way they could see the other clan, "or maybe we could head higher up towards Mountain steps? The vantage point may help us see past Mewdowclan. She added, looking to Sleekfeather wondering what her thoughts were. ----------- HavenFoxpaw's attention was brought back to Emberkit with his mew. He had thought the young tom would've stayed with his mother once put down. But it seemed like the apprentice had the younger kit as his ward now. Twistedleaf would box his ears into next green-leaf if he found out his apprentice had left his son unsupervised. Looking over at his mother he noted she was helping to calm the other kits of the nursery. Forcing back a sigh, he flicked his tail at Emberkit's ears. "Want to help me find him? I have questions of my own." He asked, if he had found Twistedleaf perhaps his mentor would direct Emberkit back to his mother. With one eye on Emberkit, Foxpaw scanned the area. Everyone was busy, Brokenfang talking to some of the senior warriors, Nightstar nearby. Barkpelt looked to be checking over they herb bundles they had brought with them, and other warriors whispering to one another. But he couldn't see Twistedleaf. Was the tom acting as a scout for the fire? The thought alone brought concern to Foxpaw's stomach. Why was he so anxious? It made little sense. That thought in mind caused his gaze back to Rabbitpaw. Perhaps he should return to his siter.

IcyturtlesSleekfeather's paws itched with anxiety, like if she ran fast enough, everything would be okay. It was a weird feeling. She stayed quiet as Mapletail debated their best course of action. "I think the Mountain Steps would be a better viewpoint.", she said. She didn't want to get all the way to the lake and find out they couldn't see what was going on. She looked up in the sky, and frowned. While it was night, and she hadn't expected to see anything, she noticed that a part of the sky had no stars. It took her a moment to realize the cause. Smoke, thick and dark enough to block out some of the stars. Fear gripped her pelt as she saw that she could even see a soft glow on the horizon. Small wildfires were on thing, but this... this seemed much bigger. "We have to go.", she said quickly, turning and starting to run towards the mountains. They needed to see how big the fire was, if MireClan was in danger. If they needed to help MeadowClan. They were a different Clan, but that didn't mean they'd leave them to burn. Sleekfeather shivered at the thought.

Mapletail - With Sleekfeather heading to Mountain Steps. runningsky123Mapletail followed Skeekfeather’s gaze with confusion, what was the dark brown molly looking at? It took her a moment but quickly alarm set in as she gazed at the night sky. Starlcan be with us. She prayed silently to herself, even if their ancestors couldn’t be seen through the smoke. They had to see them right? Giving a nod of agreement to Sleekfeathers last words. Mapletail broke into a run behind the molly. Her paw’s pushing heavily against the soft ground as they bounded towards the Mountain Steps. If cat’s of Mireclan had begun to notice, even if it was Mapletail and Sleekfeather. The latter being the sole reason Mapletail was awake. Then cat’s of Meadowclan surely had to know something was off.
As the sisters ran uphill the terrain changed beneath her paws, the ground becoming more firm and the climb steadily steeper. Anytime a small break in the tree’s gave away, Mapletail would shoot a look towards Meadowclan’s territory. Hoping to catch a glimpse of where the smoke was coming from. It wasn’t until they were a bit farther along the trail that a strange glow began to shine through in the distance. Her breathing having become a steady pant from their trek across the territory. She was suddenly grateful for Mireclan’s smaller territory size and the camp's close proximity to the Mountain steps. If she had to she was made for swimming, not running like a Meadowclan camp.
Stopping near the base of a rock. Mapletail bunched her muscles and lept upwards. They weren;t too far from seeing what could potentially be causing the soft glow in the sky.

Sleekfeather ran as fast as she could without exhausting herself too quickly, leading her sister to the Mountain Steps as fast as possible. She didn't even try and look as they ran, just focused on their destination. They reached the rocks at the base of the Mountain Steps quick enough, and started to leap up them, just trying to go as high as she could, as quick as she could. She leapt from rock to rock, and while it wasn't her strong suit (she wasn't a StoneClan cat, after all), she soon got to a place she could look out across all of the Clan's territories. What she saw made her blood run cold. BrambleClan was indeed on fire, but it was bigger than any fire she'd ever seen. Trees were burning in a huge chunk of their territory, including... "The grassland's on fire.", she breathed, her voice trembling with fear. She watched as the flames moved across the grass, burning a larger and larger path, the grass catching quickly. Her hackles raised in anxiety, feeling rooted to the spot. What should they do? What could they do? Icyturtles

Mapletail -With Sleekfeather at Mountain Steps runningsky123
Scrambling up beside Sleekfeather, Mapletail for once wished she had the tough pads of a Stoneclan cat. Her paw’s scraping against the rough rock. This however was quickly pushed from her mind as a pit of cold horror seeped into Mapletail’s stomach. The glow she had noted earilier portraying to be a fire growing in Brambleclan’s and Meadowclan’s territory. Clenching her jaws, she was grateful that Sleekfeather chose this location. If they had run to the lake, they would’ve been closer to the flames burning through the grasslands. With this realization, the cold from her stomach raked across her pelt. "It’s spreading towards Mireclan’s territory.” Mapletail thought aloud, her voice heavy.
Studying the flames she wondered how long it would take for the fire to consume the grasslands. She hadn’t ventured much into Meadowclan’s territory, but had known it could be quite dry at times. Fuel for the fire raging. Looking towards the lake and Mireclan’s territory she knew the wetlands would slow its burn, but completely stop it? While that would be preferable, it wasn't a certainty. How long would this burn for?
Turning her attention back to Sleekfeather she saw her own fear reflected. They had to do something, but what? Help the other clan's or return to Mireclan? ”Do you think Brambleclan and Meadowclan are okay?” She asked, stunned at the image unfolding before her.

Sleekfeather felt frozen in place for a bit, before she shook her fur slightly. Standing here in shock would help no one. They needed to warn their Clan, get them to safety, and see if they could help the other Clans. But MireClan was their first priority. “I don’t know, but we need to get back to camp and warn everyone. We can get them here; the fire’s further south, and there’s nothing here in the rocks to spread it up here. Crowstar will decide whether to send a patrol to help or not. We’ll probably at least warn StoneClan.”, she said. They probably wouldn’t be in danger from the fire, but they needed to be warned just in case. But she didn’t want to be making decisions like that. “Come on, we need to get back as soon as possible.”, she said, nudging Mapletail to get her moving, before she leapt back down the rocks, and headed for the MireClan camp. Mapletail - With Sleekfeather in Mireclan camp. runningsky123Why hadn't Starclan warned us about this? Mapletail thought, lashing her tail in agitation. Shouldn't their medicine cat have warned something was coming? That this something could be this devastating? Being nudged by Sleekfeather, Mapletail turned her full attention back to the moment. Nodding in agreement she watched her sister leap down. Casting one last look at the fire. Why did she have the feeling they were missing something? But Sleekfeather had the right idea. Talk to Crowstar, they would know what to do.
Running after Sleekfeather, Mapletail forced herself to focus on her breathing. Around her ash began to fall from the sky, the wind pushing it onto their territory. Her thoughts wondered to Meadowclan and Brambleclan. Hopefully the flames hadn't reached their camps. If they did she prayed they hada been evacuated. While they were rivals the thoughts of innocent cats being left to the mercy of the flames made her sick.
Seeing the camps entrance in sight Mapletail didn't hesitate to push her way through. They needed to talk to Crowstar and now.

IcyturtlesSleekfeather led the sprint into camp, skidding to a halt in clearing, before she rushed over to Crowstar’s den. “Crowstar! Crowstar!”, she called, trying not to wake up too much of the camp in a panic, but she needed Crowstar awake. The black tom raised his head from where he’d been curled up, pinning his ears back slightly. If Sleekfeather was waking him so rudely, it had to be something important. “What, what?”, he asked, standing up. Sleekfeather was panting from her run, having to catch her breath a bit before she spoke. “Fire. In BrambleClan and MeadowClan. It’s huge.”, she said. “And it’s close to spreading to our territory.”, she said, anxiety and fear in her voice.

runningsky123 No need to say sorry ^^ I didn't know Minecraft had a new update coming out, sounds pretty fun :3 ) Mapletail -With Sleekfeather in Mireclan camp.Mapletail right on Sleekfeathers heels slowed down behind her, following her to the leaders den she was about to follow her inside but hesitated. From here looking down at the quiet of the camp, it was almost hard to imagine that something so big was going on. She imagained herself being a kit, snuggled against her mothers belly. An apprentice with Sleekfeather, sharing the latest gossip. She had once envisioned herself standing here now. Leading her clan in times of struggle, or even just an elder. Sharing stories of her past. Turning her gaze to the warriors den, she watched a disgruntled looking Palefish come out of the warriors den. Bleary, confused eyes meeting hers. Maybe once she had hoped to visit the nursery once more.
Turning away Mapletail entered the den, hearing the last of Sleekfeathers words. "It's moving faster than any fire I've ever seen," She added, forcing her pelt to lie flat, "Sleekfeather woke me up, we scouted it from the Mountain Steps. It looks like a safe spot for the clan." With the last of her words, a rustling told Mapletail another cat was entering and the scent gave away their arrival.Palefish(I know Palefish is probs gonna die. I couldn't help but want to weave in some angst lol )

IcyturtlesCrowstar frowned, standing up and stretching slightly. "A fire? And you're sure it will spread here?", he asked. Sleekfeather nodded. "It seems so. We should leave before we get trapped. To-" "We will leave, but we will go to the lake. We can wade into the water to escape the flames.", Crowstar said. Sleekfeather's ears pinned back at that. "But... the fire is spreading that direction quickest, the Mountain Steps are a better place. The ground there has nothing to spread the fl-"\ "My decision is final, Sleekfeather. Palefish, wake the Clan, get them moving towards the lake.", Crowstar said. Sleekfeather's blood ran cold. Why wouldn't Crowstar listen? If they went that way, they'd be killed. She looked at her sister, panic in her eyes, not sure how she could convince Crowstar to listen to her. ((Tbh i forgot they're all gonna be gone, which is the why im having Crowstar insist on the lake lol))

( runningsky123 Good idea. This way we can have a smaller group and if someone brings in a clan cat later, we can write it off as them having escaped the disaster but became separated. Whenever you all are ready, the dam can break) Mooneye followed after his clanmate, looking for a break in the fire. They just had to get ahead of it. If they could reach the rest of the clan then-... then... what? Where would they go? To the twolegplace? Could they reach Mireclan from here and take refuge in their waterlogged territory? A yowl rose from the meadow, but with his heart racing in his ears Mooneye couldn't place it. "Silvermane!? Weaselpaw!" he shouted, too worked up to remember his apprentice's new name. She had been his first apprentice, he had been so proud of her. Perhaps as proud as a father with their own kit. Silvermane had never had kits. It never seemed important before, but now he was already dreading the loss. Mooneye was not a bee-brained cat. Poorly motivated, maybe, but he was usually calm and thoughtful. Panic was not in his nature, not until this moment. There had been no response to his call and as they ran he realized there was no way in that wouldn't soon be up in flames. He stopped and closed his eyes. Why had Starclan given him that dream? Why him? He had to calm down, he had to think. "Whisperingbreeze... we can't-... even if we made it, we'd be trapped..." he could hardly hold back his own pain, "We should go around by the way of the gathering place. If they got out... their best bet would be through Mireclan and if- if there's nowhere to go, they would go to the Mountain Steps where the fire can't burn." Icyturtles"Yeah!" the kit perked up. In his mind, this would be a grand adventure where he could show his dad how brave he was. He was blind to the danger that burdened Rabbitpaw's mind. He didn't even think to worry about breaking the rules. The kit wriggled in place, his claws digging into the earth. Luckily for them, most of the clan was too busy in the stir of it all to notice the two cats slip away into the night. Rabbitpaw noticed though. Her ears pricked towards where her brother had slipped back into the darkness. Longtooth followed her gaze and hummed. "An apprentice and kit going off on their own... that can't be good. Should we keep watch on them?" shocked at the question, she looked up at the Elder who was grinning ruefully down at her. "W-what?" "Come on, there isn't much and old fool like me can do around here. The least I can do is keep watch of you young ones," the old, one eyed tom carefully dropped down from the boulder, "We'll just watch for now. If something seems wrong, we'll call them back." He followed after Foxpaw and with a nervous twitch of her tail, Rabbitpaw went too.

Mapletail -With Sleekfeather in the Mireclan camp. runningsky123Mapletail was a bit surprised by Crowstar's decision. She had expected the older tom to question their advice but not completely disregard it. Flicking her tail to hide her annoyance Mapletail made eye contact with Sleekfeather. There had to be a way to change his mind. Looking back at Palefish, the pale grey tom shook at Mapletail. A clear indication at not to argue against Crowstar. Turning to the black tom an idea struck Mapletail. "Let Sleekfeather and I scout ahead, at least. We can watch for signs of the fire getting too close to the clan." Mapletail requested, perhaps if they reported back to Crowstar he would change their course. "Please."
To Mapletail's surprise, Palefish's deep voice spoke up behind her. "I think it's worth letting them scout ahead, if they report we can't pass we may just have to go to Mountain Steps." Palefish agreed, looking from the two sisters to meet the steady gaze of Crowstar. (This way they can be separated from the clan as well, I'm ready whenever Haven!) Foxpaw -With Emberkit, Rabbitpaw and Longtooth following. Highfall. When Foxpaw hadn't seen Twistedleaf he assumed the tom was closer to the edge of the group. Slipping through a dried patch of brambles he flicked his tail over Emberkit's nose. "Now, stay with me Emberkit. You want to practice being an apprentice one day yeah? Pretend I'm your mentor." Foxpaw directed, hoping by making it into somewhat of a game the younger tom would follow him more closely. Unknowingly with Rabbitpaw and Longtooth following behind them. He lead the group through the undergrowth. The scent of smoke heavy in the air. Just how bad is this fire? He questioned as ash fell from the sky.

Mothfeather | MeadowClan Camp | march Mothfeather was hurrying from den to den, waking warriors and apprentices alike and herding them towards the camp entrance when she noticed Weaseltail making a run for the leader's den. Mothfeather trailed her across the grass and gently rested her tail across the young warrior's flank. " It's alright, Tawnystar has already ordered an evacuation to the lake," she said. Mothfeather glanced around the roots of the Skytree. Thornpaw, Hawkbelly... Aside from the patrol that had been sent to bring back Mooneye and Whisperingbreeze, almost everyone was accounted for, except... " Weaseltail, while guarding the camp, did you see where Softpaw went? I haven't been able to find him, and Mistflight doesn't know where he is." (Hi! I was thinking that Softpaw being missing might make a good excuse for the three of them to also get separated from the clan?) Slatepaw | StoneClan Camp | open While storm and smoke plumed in the distance, StoneClan camp was quiet, disturbed only by the occasional howling gust of wind or the low murmurs of those still awake. Slatepaw lay restless, curled up in his nest. He had been listening in on the conversations of the warriors all evening, and for the most part they didn't seem too worried. After all, wildfires on BrambleClan territory weren't unusual for the season, and the wind was blowing in the direction of the lake anyways. Even if the fire managed to reach through the wet swamps of MireClan, their clan could simply retreat further into the stony cliffs and caves, move camps as they so often did. However, it wasn't just the wildfire that was keeping Slatepaw up this evening. While his mentor had been warning him to stay away from the lower parts of the territory due to the unusual twoleg activity and rising water levels, Slatepaw couldn't help but sneak a look whenever he got the chance. Just a couple days ago though, he noticed that the twolegs—along side the monsters that had been guarding that wall they've been fretting about— had vanished overnight. Even the twoleg camp was eerily and completely desolate, which was just... strange for this time of year. As much as Slatepaw tried to remind himself that he was nearly a fully grown warrior, not a frightened kit, he couldn't stop the uneasiness that had been twisting in his stomach recently. Giving up on sleep, Slatepaw slipped out of the den, careful not to wake any of the other apprentices. Perhaps he could get a good look at the fire from the Mountain Steps? Despite his anxiety, he was curious and desperately in need of something to occupy his paws with. Maybe he could bring back some prey too; it'd be a good idea to re-stock the fresh-kill pile incase they did end up needing to wait out the fire. Satisfied with his plan, Slatepaw scanned the camp for a way to leave unnoticed. (If a StoneClan cat really needs an excuse to leave before the flood, they could join Slatepaw if any of you want :) )

Won’t be on until later, but I’m thinking of having a small group of nondescript cats leave the camp, if we want that to happen for all of them, in case anyone joins later, we can just have them be in the groups that left. Just like a few cats from every clan ( Haven if you want a limit of how many from each clan we can also figure out how many escaped from each). Just some brainstorming.

Weaseltail | MeadowClan Camp
Weaseltail was calmed by the older warriors words “Softpaw oh yes, he went to the lake near mireclans territory to look for Marigold.. but I think he should be back by now? He’s probably safe and close to water” the she stepped closer to the clan entrance feeling nervous. There where groups of cats gathering ready to leave “If where going to the lake we could look for him?”
(Hey Softpaw can totally be missing for drama)
Her eyes flicked back toward the clan entrance once again, looking more thoroughly Rainsong, Spottedbelly, and Patchflank had already left or where at least out of view. She noticed Mistflight with carrying a bundle of herbs, and Slivermane was helping Whitefur leave camp. Now was a better time then any to look for him

( Sootfeather you're all good! Mostly I wanted to make sure people didn't claim a bunch of cats or make a bunch of cats too early on that they couldn't handle. That's why I don't mind anyone making more once they started. Would you mind Goldenheart being Slatepaw's mentor? I also realized I forgot to add Cloudswirl to the list of cats from Stoneclan, so if anyone wants him he's free. He's the one who received the prophecy for that clan, so if nobody takes him I'll have him waiting at the Mountain Steps to pass the prophecy onto Slatepaw) Goldenheart squeezed his way out from beneath the rock that nearly covered the current warrior den. While the gap made for decent protection from most predators, he was a big cat. Giving a few cursory licks to his golden-yellow fur , he scanned the camp. Rippletongue had predicted a heavy rainfall this season and the clan had moved further up; and though lightning lit up the sky, no rain had fallen yet. The old medicine cat was usually pretty good at predicting the weather, especially in her old age, but she was no newly named cat and being out in the sun all day did tend to scramble a cat's thoughts in his experience. Goldenheart glanced back at the den where his sisters were still fast asleep. He had been the only one to wake when Cloudswirl slipped out of the den and that had been a while ago. It wasn't like him. Goldenheart licked at his shoulder again and cast his eyes around the area just in time to see Slatepaw across the way. "Is something wrong?" he asked quietly as he approached. Goldenheart was a mellow cat in spite of his size. He spoke with a gentle, warm tongue.

runningsky123Emberkit beamed up at the older tom, his tail raised and confident as he followed. "Do you think you'll be a warrior when I become an apprentice?" he asked, "Maybe you can be my real mentor!" The kit paused in step for a moment as a bit of ash floated down from the sky to land on his nose like a burnt snowflake. "What is this stuff?" Deeper into the forest the fire had only spread, red tendrils licking up the dry trees and sending them collapsing into ashen piles just to spread further along. Although they had escaped the fire, Ashfeather was still unconscious and Tumblewind was having a harder and harder time carrying her. "Take a moment," the black and white tom suggested but his clanmate shook his head. "It's... getting hard to breath..." Tumblewind hacked. His clanmates had been waiting by that tree for a while, Twistedleaf realized. The smoke was deep in their lungs. Even if they did make it to clear air, would Barkpelt be able to fix this? His stomach clenched at the realization that at some point he had become unsure. They may not make it.

IcyturtlesCrowstar frowned but nodded. “Very well, you may scout ahead. Palefish, being waking the rest of camp, have them start heading towards the lake.” Sleekfeather was still in a bit of shock before she heard Palefish start yowling for the Clan to wake and head for the lake. No. She didn’t care what Crowstar said. Saving her Clanmates lives were more important, and she knew if they went to the lake, they’d die. She bounded out of the den, standing in the clearing, raising her own yowl, trying to drown out Palefish. “No! No! Head to the Mountain Steps! The fire is heading for the lake! Please!”, she yowled, as cats started to wake and emerge. Some looked incredulous, ignoring her, while others glanced among themselves. She didn’t care what they thought of her, disobeying Crowstar. She didn’t care. She just wanted to save as many cats as she could. HavenWhisperingbreeze’s paws hurt from how fast she’d been running, stopping beside Mooneye. He was right. The grass was catching too quickly. They were ahead of the fire now, but it would soon catch up. Fear gripped her pelt. Had anyone made it? The patrols had at least been awake, had they realized the danger? She looked at Mooneye as he yowled for his mate and apprentice, stepping forward to press her fur against his. She was fearful and panicked enough just for her Clanmates, she couldn’t imagine how he felt. “You’re right. MireClan is our best chance. We need to go.”, she said softly. She sent a prayer to StarClan that Silvermane and Weaseltail had made it out. Weaseltail had been on vigil, she had a chance. She had no idea about Silvermane. She heard a loud crash, turning back to see another tree had fallen, sending sparks flying near the border. They were far enough away it wasn’t a danger, but it still made her flinch.

He's seen as a bit of a troublemaker, not because he intends to but just because he struggles to follow most orders whenever he gets excited. Strengths: Fearless and strong Weaknesses: Reckless and a bit airheaded Family: Berryheart (mom) and Twistedleaf (dad) Sexuality: He's never thought of it Mate: Not for now, he's a bit too young History: Emberkit has been trouble since the moment he could move faster than his mom could keep track of him. Always venturing outside of the queen's den, the only thing stopping him from running off is how open the camp is. He's usually caught before he gets very far. He did leave the camp once, hunting a pinecone that rolled away. He was brought back not long after by his father with a beetle clinging to his back leg and refusing to let go. Additional Information: I honestly see his personality and hear his voice as this kid Name: Halfstep Sex/Gender: Female Age: Young Adult Rank: Newly-made Warrior Pelt Color & Markings: Halfstep is a calico girl with half of a black face and half orange. She's a chimera whose body is split down the middle with colors except for her tail. Eye Color: Large, intelligent eyes with heterochromia- blue and yellow Additional Physical Attributes: She has short legs with webbed paws as well as a rounded face. She also has a short but thick tail. Her nose is somewhat heart-shaped Picture: Personality: Prone to worry, but equally prone to use her critical thinking skills to find her way out of trouble, Halfstep is a cat who believes in and takes comfort in order. She likes when things are neat and have rules, and if there are none she will be the first to volunteer ideas for some. Strengths: Intelligence, critical thinking, and the will to do what others might not Weaknesses: She's on the small side and not the greatest fighter. She also isn't like to challenge the status quo if it's working... inversely if she doesn't think it's working she will not shut up about it. Family: Sexuality: Bi Mate: Open History: Halfstep spent her first few moons in the medicine cat den. She was often sickly and weak as a kit, and as the runt she was late to her apprenticeship. Once she started going however, she didn't stop. Halfstep wasnt the strongest fighter, but she was clever and her small size allowed her to move through the mud with the best of them.Additional Information: Has chimerism, so she's her own twin.

Mooneye took a moment to press back against Whisperingbreeze, smoothing the fur on her shoulder as a tree crashed down. "Come on, we need to get out of the smoke too."
He flicked his tail as he started back the way they came. It was easier to move this way, it kept his bad eye on the side of the meadow and allowed his good eye to keep track of the more patchy areas of fire that was spreading across Brambleclan. The wind had turned as well and was pushing at their backs rather than their sides. He wanted to believe that the wind would blow the fire away from their clan, but he was certain now that his dream had been no dream. Fire would destroy them.
--
Halfstep had followed the two outcasts to the Mountain Step, where they stopped to rest. She was certain that they were also hoping their mother would change her mind. For a while she had followed the destruction that swept through Brambleclan and Mistclan, starting as a small fire and turning into an uncontrollable blaze. It was unsettling to say the least and served to make her more confident in her choice to follow the outsiders.
BOOM-.. CRACK!!
The loudest thunder Halfstep had ever heard shook through the sky. Her rounded ears tilted forward and she noticed Tallshadow stand out of the corner of her eye. They waited for the lightning to follow, but it never did.
"That came from the twoleg wall," Tallshadow murmured.
Iigerstripe rolled his eyes from where he was resting on one of the tall ridges of the Mountain Step, "It was thunder."
"No... look!" Halfstep cried, digging her claws in to keep her from running back to her clan. Even from as far as they were she could see the stone split and water come crashing out. In moments the wall was gone and the most water she had ever seen thundered forward. Her fur stood on end and she watched the scene in horror.
Tigerstripe, who she had learned was far less serious as his brother jumped to his feet to join them as they helplessly watched the destruction of the homeland they had been born in.

(Sorry guys for the hold up! I just moved states and can get busy on and off randomly. I'll post replies here soon. I'm hopinh within the next week or so I can get a more consistent schedule down! Also Runningsky already knows, but this upcoming weekend I'm going camping. So I'll be missing for a few days, during that time I wouldn't be against y'all having to manipulate my characters to keep the story moving at all~ )

Foxpaw -With Emberkit HavenFoxpaw couldn't help but let out a murrph of amusement at his question. "If I am a warrior by the time you're an apprentice, Nightstar might choose someone with more experience to be your mentor." Foxpaw responded lightly. It could be many moons before he took on an apprentice. There would be more experience cats to train Emberkit. Although maybe a younger cat to match his energy is what Emberkit would truly need? Shrugging off the thought Foxpaw flicked his ears when Emberkit asked another question. "That is ash," He started, unsure how to broach the topic. "You remember the fires Berryheart told you that spark on our territory?" He inquired, watching as bigger and bigger pieces began to fall. Scenting the air Foxpaw surveyed the area in the dark, swishing his tail too and from. It seemed as if they were heading towards the Mountain Steps. "Well, when the fire consumes trees and plants. It leaves behind ash, and the wind picks it up. They say the ash helps the forest to regrow. That even if it is the remainder of what once was. It will help regrowth somewhere else. Possibly many many lake shores away." Foxpaw finished, unease beginning to prickle his pelt. Where was Twistedleaf? He wondered but his thoughts were thrown as an ominous crackling noise struck in the distance. Staring in the direction it had come Foxpaw noted it was where the Two-leg wall sat, looking down to Emberkit. Foxpaw made a quick decision and scooped the tom kit by his scruff. Running towards the Mountain Steps. He had to see what that sound was. Mapletail -With Sleekfeather runningsky123Mapletail watched Sleekfeathers panic and ran after the she-cat, watching as she tried to plead with their clan-mates. Dividing the clan's decisions on which direction to go. "Sleekfeather, this is the best option." she pushed, trying to catch her sisters gaze. "They're not going to listen unless we tell them it's unpassable." Mapletail continued staring at her gathering clan-mates. Uncertainty and panic in their gazes as Palefish began informing the clan. Setting up groups and giving orders to warriors and apprentices. Looking back towards Sleekfeather she knew that heading straight to the Mountain steps was their best option. But what other way could convince the clan?

Icyturtles“We don’t have time, Maple! By the time we go and scout, it will be too late to make it to the Steps safely.”, Sleekfeather said, her tail puffed up, ears pinned back. She was stressed and anxious, and couldn’t think how to get her Clan to listen. “Please, Maple. We need to get them to go to the Steps. They’ll die.”, she said. “We don’t have time to scout.” Several cats seemed to be hovering around them, appearing to be making up their mind to go with Sleek and Maple. ************ HavenWhisperingbreeze followed Mooneye, keeping close to him, her limbs shaky still from fear and adrenaline. She glanced back when she felt the wind change, her hackles raising slightly. “Run. The wind will push the fire towards us.”, she said. She couldn’t see the flames behind them yet, but they couldn’t wait around until it caught up. She started running, not full-out sprinting, but still going fast.

( Haven Alright! And yeah, I'm good with Goldenheart being Slatepaw's mentor) Mothfeather | MeadowClan Camp | march " Of course!" said Mothfeather, relieved to hear he was so close. " Silvermane!" she called. " Weaseltail says that Softpaw was headed towards the lake near the MireClan territory. Tell Tawnystar that we're going to find him, please. We'll meet up with the rest of the clan soon!" Mothfeather briefly touched her nose to her sister's check, and flicked her tail over Whitefur's pelt for encouragement. Then, after nodding to Hawkbelly, who was helping Silvermane manage the rear of the group, Mothfeather split off and lead her two-cat patrol away from the now abandoned Skytree. Once they were out in the open grassland, Mothfeather gestured for Weaseltail to take the lead. " Show me where you saw him go, please." Softpaw's scent was mixed in with smoke and fleeing cats, and would be difficult to make out until they'd gotten farther away. From the back, Mothfeather kept her eye on the fire behind them. It was spreading faster than she expected; soon enough the Skytree would be up in flames. Mothfeather tried not to think about that too much. At least most of her clanmates would be safely in the lake by then. Slatepaw | StoneClan Camp | Before he could get far, Slatepaw noticed his mentor, Goldenheart, approaching him. While he wasn't entirely convinced Goldenheart would let him leave alone, Slatepaw thought it'd be best to ask anyways. There was a chance he would at least offer to go with him. Slatepaw found didn't mind that too much; as much as he'd wanted the night entirely to himself, something about the large tom's presence helped him feel a little more at ease. " I'm alright," he answered. Slatepaw straightened his posture, though hesitated before continuing. " I just can't sleep, so I was thinking it might be a good idea to re-stock the fresh-kill pile in the meantime—I mean, if you think that's alright. I'd go hunting in the upper parts of the territory, so it should be safe." Slatepaw shifted from paw to paw, considering what to say next. He didn't want his mentor to think he was too frightened. " I could always check on the fire and storm from the Mountain Steps. I promise I'll come back right away if I see it spreading close."

Mapletail -With Sleekfeather runningsky123Mapletail agreed with Sleekfeather but how else could they convince the rest of the clan? Seeing some of their clanmates gathered around she looked to them. Wanting to ask how many agreed to go with Sleekfeather to the Mountain steps, but they didn't have time for this. Looking from Sleekfeather to them she felt frustration growing, this was mouse brained. Crowstar should've just listened to them. "Sleekfeather, not everyone's going to listen," She pointed out, sweeping her tail to the rest of the clan following Palefish and Crowstars orders. Looking over the assembled cats, Sleekfeather, and counting herself an idea formed. "If you take those willing to follow, I'll go scout. This way at least some of the clan can make it through this unharmed, when I come with the others. You guys can help." Mapletail suggested although a bubble of unease formed in her stomach. It would allow some cat's to reach safety. But it didn't promise safety to everyone. This way though, support could be found when the rest of the clan inevitably followed. (Lowkey typing this I wondered how sad would it be if Mapletail ended up dying )
