Born to be Wild: Were-Creature Rp Open!

For a flicker of a second, Nightshade’s eyes showed interest as he shifted. It was interesting how even in the most suburban places you could find these mythical creatures hidden away. She stared hard at him for a few seconds before just shrugging uncomfortably. “Yeah I’m not one for… friends or whatever. And I guess we can meet up somewhere in the woods tomorrow, but nowhere sunny. Not a huge fan of heat or light.” Her hands went down to her knife which she unsheathed, twirling it around in her hands as she thought. “I… I don’t know your name? I know the girl’s name is Sage. Your sister I mean.” Man, I am just amazing at making conversations. Absolutely amazing. Then she hopped down a few branches so she was just a few feet above him, her tail still flicking slightly. She leaned down and looked at him intently, her emerald green eyes burning. “You’re a pheonix! That’s incredible… are you immortal like the real thing? I mean, I know that they die and rise up from ashes as a chick again.” Suddenly it didn’t feel so hard to talk anymore knowing he might know what it felt like to be a weirdo even inside a circle of were-creatures. She flinched slightly at the light coming off of his brilliant feathers, but felt determined to have her question answered.

"Oh- that's terrible. I'm sorry." She moved back slightly, suddenly unsure. He seemed to still be grieving and Nightshade struggled with comforting people. She wasn't the most cuddly or warm person. "Uhm well... I still don't know your name." Carefully she sheathed the knife, as she was sure that probably wasn't the most reassuring sight in the world. Then she sat back up on the branch, swinging her legs slightly as she waited for him to talk. I mean he seems like a good person but... a fiery and bright personality and physical appearance may not be my wisest decision. "If you don't want to tell me your name that's fine but- well, erm I probably need to go and you should meet back up with your sister." It was true, Nightshade usually spent the nights wandering in the woods or looking at her various shiny things.

Lexa was a little surprised when he mentioned meeting Javelle. Suppose it wouldn't hurt though she had a feeling Javelle wouldn't be to keen on this meeting. "Why Leon?" She questioned.

(Stopping by to read all the character interactions! Nightshade and phoenix Leo have such a fun dynamic with each other- I like how Nightshade's weakness to sun makes her hesitant talking to him.

Also, yeah, Javalle really isn't going to like the family confrontation lol- I'm all for it though! Gives him a chance to be angry with the pack. Let me know when you want to plan for it to be bloodrosepelt Hawkeyes258)

"No no, its fine, I'm Leo," he said, disapointed she had moved away, and was probally going to leave soon "Who are you? And when could we meet back up again?" Leo wanted to ask if he could come over to his house sometime, but his mother and father wouldn't be the happiest people in the world if this happened, and he had just met this girl today, he wasn't even sure if she liked him or not, most likely not- I'm a straight up pheonix, and she doesn't like the warmth, why why why do you have to have a crush on a girl you could never be with?

(I’m down for him to have a twin! Just a heads up the pack has figured out who is behind the attacks but I’m sure we can still come up with something) 

(Junospower That would be awesome! I'd love to have Javalle and Sherman interact- even if I hate Sherman's guts. I'm sure Javalle has seen Sherman about in the library many times before and just ignores him.

Ooh what if Jack starts to shift IN the library but either Adeline or Javalle stop him. Not right now but maybe when they become more acquainted! That would be really fun to write for methinks!)

Selene Blackwood
Description: Selene typically maintains black hair that is usually styled with bangs and a messy, layered bob with that reaches to her jaw and mid neck. Her eyes are a pale blue and she may come off as striking in appearance to some. She runs a slim, athletic build with a fair complexion and stands at 5'10". She is typically seen in darker clothes that lean towards corporate goth, while her choice in makeup is usually intense but professional.

Age: She is 30 years old.

What you are: Werewolf

Creature Description: Her wolf form is one with blue eyes, all black fur with a white patch on her chest.

Personality: Selene keeps on a cool, confident, and collected exterior. She likes to keep strangers at a distance, but will lower her guard the more she is around people. For her, trust and respect is earned, and it can go just as quickly. She considers herself a realist who doesn't like to waste her time and energy. Her temper is short, and it's best not to be near by if she snaps. It's safer that way. She will fight tooth and nail for the ones she loves, so you better hope that you're not on her bad side.

Background: Born and raised in the pack, there was expectations to be had. The Blackwood name worked both as a badge of honor and a burden to be carried. Selene thought her time would be best served by helping her community through law enforcement. She climbed the ranks of the police force to make it up to a seinor detective. Now, she patrols the streets on her motorcycle to keep an eye out for trouble, sometimes having to commute to Portland very rarely.

Family: Selene and Delvin are twins, with him being the slightly older of the two. She sometimes acts as his right hand, whether he wants her to or not.

Romantic Interests: Single, available, bi

Adeline listened raptly, a curious expression on her pale complexion. She’s.. sure she could be explained as faint of heart, she knows she is faint of heart, but not in every way. Especially not with ghost stories that might have more truth to them than she ever thought before.

Much, much more. And not all of them are ghosts.

Adeline figures, obviously, if Jack exists they aren't dead. Might be in society much more than she thought. That’s only a bit terrifying, a bit surreal, she can’t quite tell if the idea has fully sunk in yet.

The blonde hesitates a moment as she thinks of what to respond with, settling on an agreement with Jack who speaks before herself. “Yeah- It’s not like I have much experience with gardening..” She says, keeping her hands firmly in her pocket, rubbing her index finger and thumb together shakily at the slippery feeling of red between them.

She pauses, a thought coming to mind “Uhm- speaking of ghost stories.. There’s a specific one I was wondering about? There’s this one journal- I can’t remember the author.. But I was wondering if there was anything else, written- drawings or anything that came with it?” Adeline still has a few of those pictures saved on her phone, a few pages as well.

She thinks it might be a good start besides a few of these ‘gardening’ books for at least looking into werewolves. See what else might’ve been said about people who saw them up close. It’s not too odd to think that people either just straight wanted to kill them, or maybe fix them.

Expel them of a curse that they thought no one could want.

Portland had kept her there for longer than she would have liked. It was a couple weeks too long, and part of her knew that there would be chaos at home. Almost home. Selene revved her bike up to accelerate, excitedly racing down the winding highways. She could watch the forest pass by all day. For now, she had a destination to keep in mind.

She could only imagine what things were like at home. There had been no point in holding onto a phone, since the police retreat forbade electronics. She had been silly enough to follow that rule while everyone else got good at stowing away their personal items. Such irony. It could have been worse. She had a few weeks of minimal responsibilities, at least from her family. Part of her was surprised that her phone wasn't blowing up once she got back into service areas, maybe it was better that way.

*thunk*

She yelped as her bike swerved to one side. What gives? She grit her teeth, doing her best to steer her bike to a safer part of the shoulder lane, or what counted as one. Once she slowed down, she let out a low, frustrated growl as she looked over to the front wheel. Some idiot in construction must have left nails from an old job. Now her tire had been the lucky one to have found it and get shredded in the process.

There was no salvaging this. She ripped off her helmet and set it against the handlebars. She squatted down as if glaring at it would get the tire to fix itself. No such luck. As frustrated as she was, it didn't prevent her from keeping a keen ear put for an unwelcome onlooker.
