Jenna frowned as the lady mentioned her family. She didn’t talk about her family, never ever. Slightly puffing out her cheeks in annoyance she said, “I am just going around, not going anywhere really. Why you wanna know?”
Maria looked at her parents and said, “I know the rouge’s have gotten everyone a bit tense, but he is different. Mister Javalle is a good person, you can trust him.” Her father shook his head and said, “It is not about trust. It is about making sure you three are okay.” Looking her dead in the eye he then said, “Which is why for the next three months you are not allowed to go anywhere outside the house, baring school, without either us or your siblings with you Maria.”

Jack wasn’t sure who Javalle was referring to when he said “rough night”, but he was somewhat glad that Adeline decided to answer. He couldn’t remember anything from last night, but a part of him could recall smelling the other man’s scent. At least… He thinks he did…
The look Javalle was giving him made him uncomfortable. The way his eyes jumped between the werewolf and Adeline. Has he figured out or only thinks he has?
“Just looking at the old history books. Kinda interested in how the early towns people came up with the werewolf legends and folklore. She decided to accompany me,” He tried to keep it vague enough that he gave Javalle the information he needed, but not enough to give away that Adeline knows he’s a werewolf. As far as Jack know, Adeline believes that he is one of the only werewolves or were-creatures in Griffindale. He was already pushing his luck by telling her about himself anyways…

Nightshade shrugged. "I dunno... sorry. I just wanted to make sure you were okay because you're on the younger side."
(Sorry for the short response, one of my besties is leaving the forums for a year and I need to tell all of her rps that I will be taking over; which is gonna take a while ._. )

Lexa figured something like this would happen. She could try to convince their dad to lighten up but the look he had gave her pause. She might try talking to him a little later once he calmed down a little. Looking to her mom, she could tell that she seemed to be agreeing with him.

Jenna frowned slightly as she said, “No, I’m sorry. That was mean and you gave me food so I shouldn’t be mean to you.” She then pulled out one of her breadsticks from her little pouch and offered it to her. This was her form of a peace offering.
Maria looked at her parents with shock. She didn’t mean for everything that happened last happen. Like, do they really think she wanted to deal with a random werebear and a creepy forest all night! Feeling sad she just quickly got up from her seat and room to her room to cry. Meanwhile the father looked at Lexa to see if she had a problem with what he decided.

Adeline nodded, “Uh, yeah- the folklore- it’s.. pretty in-depth. A lot of interesting stuff.” She says, tone plain and genuine as she spoke in agreement.
More interesting now that it’s real, isn’t it? The voice almost sounds encouraging, a bit odd compared to its usual blasé, or sarcastic tone. She can’t tell if she likes it or not.
Adeline feels a cold drip down the back of her neck. Slow, like a drop of cold water. Adeline tried not to cringe, idly bringing a hand to the back of her neck to wipe away the random sensation.
“Uh- were also here for., gardening books? Like for herbs.. and stuff.” She added a moment later, wiping away the.. oh, there’s actually something there? Weird.
Adeline quickly out the hand back into her pocket when she caught a glimpse of red on her hand.
Ah, yes, back to denial. There’s the tone she recognizes.
(Hope this is alright!)

Nightshade smiled gently. “Thank you, that’s very nice.” She took the mildly slimy breadstick from the child and at her expectant look, took a bite. It wasn’t great, but she didn’t want to offend the trash child. “It’s good,” she said as she swallowed it with a small smile and a nod. “So,” she said as she straightened and stretched, “I plan on finding a place in the woods to sleep tonight. How about you?”

(Can't wait for Adeline to realize that there is a huge group of shifters just chillin outside of town lol)
"One month I could understand but three?" She questioned keeping her tone steady. She didn't want to somehow end up in trouble as well. She most likely would be tasked with watching her since Leon would be busy with his job or they could switch out depending on their schedules.

Despite their apprehensions, Javalle felt a sudden stir of energy. Their deadpan expression cleared briefly, some semblance of vague excitement creeping in. "The myths here can be very... Peculiar, to say the least. I'd advise you to be cautious browsing. All the ghost stories aren't for the faint of heart. Hmm... Gardening too. It's such an interesting profession, but one I never had the patience for. I might dabble in it again sometime-"
Javalle spoke earnestly as he drew out another book, absentmindedly running his fingers along the text, "Wolfmen Sightings of Griffindale." He swallowed uncomfortably as he flipped to a page. A grotesque, beast like humanoid was etched out, crouching over the skeletal remains of an unfortunate from the nearby cemetary. Hastily, unintelligible notes were written, and Javalle realized no other types of shifters were depicted in such a manner.
Werewolves were just the ones who got caught.
Cautiously Javalle glanced between Jack and the illustration. Was this what he thought of himself? A savage? A man-eater? Is that why he needed someone to accompany him? To confide in a facade of normalcy? Nevermind. He was clearly overreacting. The were-lynx's shoulders sagged as he forced themself to loosen up. Guess he would have to direct the conversation somewhere different.
"Well, ma'am. Jack and I are going to be working together in the future, organizing books and such. I'd be more than glad to recommend you a list of guides you may be interested in." He sure didn't sound more than glad this time. The peppy notes in his voice exchanged for hollowness, expression jaded once more. So much for that enticing research.
(This one has a bit of angst in it!! Javalle experiences the horrors of traditional folklore. No he will not let Jack see the book. I actually think he'll be very protective, possibly overbearing, once they start working together.)

Jenna looked at the flower lady and turned her head to sound when she was asked where she was going to sleep that night. Honestly, she never thought about that to much that. She kinda just floated all around the town. Though, she did love a particular cardboard box she found behind this creepy lady’s dress shop. However, that place has a lot of spiderwebs so she didn’t stay there a lot. With a bright smile she chimed, “Nope!”
Lexa’s father sighed as he said, “Not only did she go out without our knowledge, but she left herself open to a rouge werefeline. She should know better.” Crossing his arms he looked his eldest daughter in the eyes. With a scowl he asked, “Now, I want the unfettered truth, how was this ‘Javalle’ really? I know would have done better at sizing him up than Maria.”

Lexa leaned back against her heels for a few seconds before falling back to the ground. "He was polite and kind person." She says keeping her eyes locked on her father. "Perhaps a little awkward but that's about it." Not to mention he was a looker however she kept that to herself. "I highly doubt he had bad intentions."
Lexa's mother bites the inside of her cheek. "You have to understand why we are a little hesitant. A part of me wonders if one of these loners helped out these rogues."

Lexa's father sighed as he rubbed his face. "Loners are resentful of our strength as a pack. As for rogues, they just refuse to act civilized and try take away everything that we have," he lectured. Looking at his daughter he said, "I want to meet this loner, and I would like you and your brother help do that."

He couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at the book Javalle was thumbing through. “Wolfmen Sightings in Griffindale” And he seemed to almost be guarding it somewhat… Why? What was hiding in that book that he didn’t want him to see? He’d suppose he’ll have to get his hands on it some other time, Jack had a feeling that his coworker wasn’t willing to part with it today, especially with Adeline present.
“Honestly, any recommendations will do,” Jack nodded at the other man’s offer.
He had to wonder what Javalle had to be thinking. How did he feel about his coworker trying everything in his power to rid himself his monthly transformations? That what most of the were-creatures born with their state consider a gift he considers a curse?
If he were to spill everything about his mission and Adeline, would he help or would he hinder?
(Javalle: “I do not want Jack to have this book” Jack: “Oh boy do I want that book”)

(hellor yall, ik, its a miricle, ya hvnt seen me in forever lol)
As Leo walked home through the short city land that was between their house, Sage paused and started sniffing? the air? Oh, right, it was a were-mammal thing, "What is it?" he asked her quietly, "Something familiar.." she said and pulled them into a nearby allyway, then explained what had happened before he had appeared from the forest, and how the mysterious dragon-like creature disappeared, "I can smell her.." Sage said atlast, "In the allyway next to us.."
Sage had smelled an odd sent and paused, when her brother asked her what she was doing. So, like any sensable kid, she dragged her brother into the closest allyway and told him about the were-dragon, "I can smell her.." she finished, "In the allyway next to us.." her gaze flicked outside the allyway and she sniffed again, yep, same sent.. Sage dragged Leo out of the allyway again and pointed to the one nearby, "There," she muttered and Leo nodded, "Ok, lets be careful though, we don't want to drag attention from anyone." Sage gave him a thumbs up then walked casually into the next allyway with her brother trailing behind, in which they found two girls, one carried another shifter sent, but the taller, older, one carried the same sent as the dragon. Sage put her hands on her hips and said, "Your the girl from the forest aren't you?"
(BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA Nightshade thought she could escape Sage didn't she? WELL she was CLEARLY wrong ):3 )

I can’t walk two feet in this town without being swarmed by f*cking shifters can I?” She got up and glared at the small girl, and then looked between her and the taller boy who was standing behind her. “Do me a favor,” she growled, “and leave me alone. I just want five FRIGGEN MINUTES OF NORMALITY.” Nightshade shouldered her backpack, forgetting about the small trash girl. They seemed like they could take care of themselves so she tried not to worry. As she walked she weaved in and out of buildings and alleyways, praying to some upper hand that she would be left alone. Soon she came to the edge of a forest, and melted into the shadows as she tried to find an adequate tree to sleep in for the night. Please tell me that they’re not following me…

Leo flinched at the girl cusing, he knew perfectly well Sage heard it all the time at school but Sage knew he still didn't like people cusing around her. "Wait!" Sage said and Leo put his hand on her shoulder, "She wants to be left alone," he said to her, "But I want to learn more about mythical shifters," Sage argued, Why won't she just stay put! I can be very friendly if people give me a chance. She rolled her eyes as Leo tried to push her back to the house, "How about this," he tried to comprimise, "I'll go and try to ask her if we can meet up sometime and you can ask her all the questions you want. She might listen to another mythic shifter," Sage huffed in annoyance but nodded, "Fine, I'll head back home then.." She turned back to the house as Leo turned to a Falcon-Pheonix again, but this time much more dull to the point it looked more like a normal falcon, "Bye," Sage told her brother as she walked back to the house, now I get to deal with mom and dad, greatttt.
Leo was thankful his younger sister listened for once, he nodded to the even younger girl in the ally, who at this point looked very confused. Then, he took off, back to the forest where the girl had left to. Soon he spotted her and she did not look like the happiest person in the world, she spotted him and gave him a confused look as he hovered and stared at her, "Hello," he said and relized she actually looked kinda cute, Shut up brain, not the time to moon over cute girls, she seemed to reconize his voice and she turned to leave, "Please forgive my sister, she just found out she was a shifter today, she's confused and has many questions, then she was suddenly struck with the fact there are were-mythics as well," he watched as she turned around and sighed, "Please stay, she just wants to talk, I promised her I would ask if you could meet us sometime..?"

Nightshade ignored him and continued to make her way through the brush, barely noticeable in the shadows. After a few minutes of silence she finally found a suitable tree and grew black wings for a moment before flying up to the highest branch of the tree and settling down. It was a good view and she relished the light drops of rain on her face. She let her scaly tail hang off the edge of the branches, flicking slightly in annoyance. Then she pulled out the book on shifters and buried her nose in it while she thought of a way to get rid of him. Finally, after about twenty minutes, she sighed and looked down at him. “If I say that I’ll meet you, once, then will you leave me alone?” He wasn’t bad looking but she immediately shoved the thought away. Romance and teen boys were the last thing she needed right now, especially on top of currently being homeless.

"alright then, sorry, my sister likes to think if anyone gets to know her they can be her best friend, when and where? Could we- all three of us- meet I mean-" Leo turned to his own were form, and nodded to her, " I thought you might be more open to listen to another mythic shifter, I apologize for causing you so much stress, but when you promise a sibling- they'll hold you to it," he shrugged.
