Name: Diamant Pryderi Dilustro


Description: Pryderi cuts a rather intimidating figure at 5'11; with a well-defined boxer's build featuring broad-shoulders, a lean waist, and hands callused by both weightlifting and the physical nature of his jobs. While his features aren't particularly sharp, his stoic bearing makes him appear cold and implacable. This is by design, as otherwise he'd look entirely too youthful and approachable for his taste. Pryderi has thick lashes, a jaw that is tapered but soft, full lips, and a grecian nose that is slightly upturned. These features, paired with his wide rounded eyes and equally rounded eyebrows, can bring a puppy to mind when he doesn't scowl hard enough. There's an almost permanent furrow in his brows, and his dual-toned eyes appear to shade paler or more vibrant in accordance with his moods. Perhaps his most striking feature- barring the scar that extends from the inner corner of his left eye to cut diagonally across the bridge of his nose- are his eyes themselves. They're both taken by sectoral heterochromia, each halved with icy blue and warm cinnamon. Pryderi's feathery hair is an incredibly pale blond, shaved on the sides in an undercut that generally leaves a veritable mess on top. He tries to neatly style it back and away from his face but inevitably ends up looking ruffled by the end of the day when he runs his hands through it one too many times. His rosy peach-toned skin is marred by three pale scars that extend from his right pectoral to cover a few inches of his neck and five faded burns that blot the back of his left hand, forearm, and inner elbow.
Pryderi's wardrobe is primarily 'business casual' in dark wintry colors, but always paired with boots rather than loafers. His sleeves are often rolled up and he shamefully tends to leave the topmost buttons of his shirts undone as he can't always find shirts that fit properly around his arms or chest. (He hates shopping and generally just grabs the first of whatever he decides on) Constants in his style of dress are leather gloves within a back or jacket pocket in case he encounters iron and the small, old-fashioned copper bell affixed to a strip of leather that wraps thrice around his neck. He doesn't appear to be capable of removing it.

Creature Description: His eyes become sharper and larger with emerald pupils while the brown of his irises burn sunset orange, his features perfectly symmetrical as they lose the little human imperfections, and his ears & teeth gain a point. A golden shimmer overtakes his skin, and Pryderi's hair continues to grow in length until he reverts to his human facade. While not purely a physical change, his normally rough yet clarion voice becomes so melodic that it sounds as if every word he speaks is a song in itself. While still altruistic at heart, he also becomes much more mischievous and playful. Often taken by flights of fancy, Pryderi is rarely still but maintains an almost stately demeanor.


Personality: Upon first meeting him, one wouldn't be wrong to find Diamant Dilustro to be pompous or autocratic. He intends to create distance with a sharp tongue and belligerent bearing. If one were to pay closer attention, however, they may notice that he is berating them for nearly crushing a bed of milkweed whilst he stands perfectly still so as not to disturb the monarch butterfly that alighted upon his head. Even when his true intentions become apparent, Pryderi stubbornly refuses to admit to all the ways he finds excuses to be kind. He's only shoveling his elderly neighbor's driveway because it's an eyesore, and he bought coffee for the tired mom standing in line behind him because he wanted to get rid of his change. If he gets pressed enough, however, he will begin to blush and often gets visibly flustered. Pryderi initially appears apathetic while also giving the impression of someone with a quick temper, but he's just more easily annoyed than anything. He is quite intelligent but people don't often see this as he hates explaining himself and so just acts or makes decisions in a manner that seems rash. 

Background: Diamant was raised by wealthy, doting parents and grew up as a spoiled terror. His rebellious attitude only began to shift around the age of thirteen, when they sent him to Wales to become their elderly butler's problem. His aggressiveness didn't go away, but it slowly became apparent that there was dissonance between his words and actions. He became a model student- if not properly well-mannered -and graduated from his elite boarding school with honors. To their even greater surprise, he then turned his attention to various charitable endeavors before finally disappearing into a small town where people were less likely to know the prestige attached to his name. Diamant spends the majority of his time volunteering or working odd jobs. He is a volunteer firefighter and trained paramedic, as well as a stablehand and guest instructor for Half Moon Stables.

Other: 'Pryderi' is the name his parents were mysteriously compelled to use but he will only ever reveal it to a select few. Pryderi is very protective of animals and nature in general, he secretly tends to a community garden within the city center and competes with Zhenya & Teo over the affections of Griffindale's strays. Pryderi is very interested in the flora and fauna that inhabit Griffindale; he takes frequent walks in the forests and collects plants of every variety. There were times when he's been caught holding funerals for the ones he accidentally kills...
He has been a practicioner of various martial arts (culminating in MMA) since he was a child, as his parents needed a constructive outlet for his endless energy and unnatural strength...it's still rather destructive, but he has much more discipline now. A kleptomaniac with a guilty conscience, he has trained himself to secretly give more than he takes and carries around small easily giftable items to dispense when he feels the urge or realizes he's stolen something. Of course Pryderi also seeks to return what he's taken as well. He's gotten very skilled at reverse pickpocketing as a result. He is strangely adept at 'magic' tricks and misdirection. Pryderi currently believes himself to be human- just one with an allergy to iron and weird thing about cooking for others and owing favors. He hates to be thanked and dislikes having good done for him. If he isn't constantly in service to others, he begins to feel entitled...
