(Dia doesn’t make the connection as to why a large number of the town kinda gets fighty on a month or why the guy limping around town looks really sick on and after full moons. “Maybe he has weird allergies, I don’t know”. He looks fun to write haha)

(That's a perfect idea Hawkeyes- I really like that actually, I think I'll do something like that! And Diamant is gonna be a very entertaining character to read, haha. And just about everyone in town gets antsy during the full moon, even if they're not a shifter xD)

Adeline gives a small smile, watching fleetly as he acknowledges the muffin he got. Glancing back up at his other words, she gives an encouraging look. "It's.. not the funnest thing to do, but you'd be able to carry more weight on your leg.." She says, fingers tapping away on her mug, absorbing the warmth, bringing it up to take another sip. She feels an odd.. tingling at the base of her head, the barely seeable, loose blond hairs rising in a foreboding manner. Adeline pauses, setting her mug back down gently, and glancing around the diner with a curious, if now slightly apprehensive look. She tries to shrug it off, and put her focus back on Jack. "Ah, something else that can help some, if you'd prefer. Swimming helps a lot, and it's a bit easier to start with.. so you could swim some, focus on kicking your legs. Then go on to the stairs?" Adeline suggests, eyes flitting around, looking over to a pair of tables in the more secluded corner of the diner. She has the oddest feeling that she shouldn't go over there. |

Bruno:
A red haired waitress came by and grabbed their drink orders and turned away to go get them. Bruno takes this moment to realize there were two other shifters in the diner. He takes a moment trying to figure out what kind they might be before getting distracted by the smell of fresh good being delivered to another table.
"So anything new with you dad?" Bruno asked. He figured he ought to ask him first before he tried to do the same to him. His life wasn't nearly exciting as his dad.
Lexa:
"Of course I'll pay. What kind of sister would I be?" Lexa leads the way to her Jeep and hops inside. Once she starts it up, she begins the drive towards the city.

“That’s… actually a good idea,” he said and pulled out his phone one more time to write down. He didn’t get a chance to get a good look around the property, but knowing how big it actually was, Delvin probably had a pool somewhere. Maybe there was even a lake nearby within walking distance. Jack glanced back up to see Adeline looking nervously at one of the tables. He himself couldn’t tell if that was the table within the were-creatures he sensed earlier or not, hard to tell when there are too many scents in the air. Perhaps she knows them?
“Everything alright?” Jack asked in a hushed voice.

Adeline glanced away from the occupied, and for some reason sketchy feeling, table, and back towards Jack when he spoke in a hushed voice. She tried her best to fully ignore the sudden feeling of something crawling up her back, poking at the base of her head. There.. was something- that was odd, not bad, but had the potential to be bad. Ohh-kay, she's gonna stop right there. Adeline's an anxious person by nature, but even that's a little too far. Giving a (somewhat) reaassuring look, and a smile that's still slightly anxious looking, "I- I'm fine. I just.. thought I felt- ah, it's nothing." She reassures, responding in a similarly volume of voice. She still feels it, the.. urge, to do what? She has no idea! What does she suddenly have the urge to do? Why does it feel.. Adeline slept well last night, she had breakfast, she's fine. So why does she feel so.. weird? (The witchy feelings start! Adeline and Jack are going to be in soo much denial xD) |

Jack gave a brief worried frown but chose not to press further, instead nodding and turning back to finish his muffin. Giving his own possible situation, he could understand not wanting to trouble someone with personal worries. Whatever it was that was bothering Adeline, he wasn’t going to push her for answers. They’ve just met after all and he sure as hell didn’t want to ruin a possible friendship with the first human he had met all day.

Adeline fidgeted with her phone in her hands, glancing down to the food she ordered herself. She's been getting those weird feelings lately, especially the past few days.. That's part of why she's so interested in the town's history, not that she can bring herself to read more pages of that journal. Adeline just props her chin on to the top of her hand, and picks up the strawberry slice that came with her sandwich. Strawberries are her favorite. Taking just a single moment longer to debate, she looks back up to Jack with a hesitant expression. "Do.. you want me to give you my phone number? To call, or text in case anything ever happens? With your leg, I mean." Adeline offers, voice a tinge quiet, but polite and offering. |

Jack almost did a double take. If anything ever happens? Why? Did she know? Was she also in on it? Then he heard the rest of what she was saying. Right, his leg…
“Right. Yeah. Yeah sure,” he said as he tried to reign his brief flare of worry in, trying not to sound like he almost had had a heart attack. He opened his phone up to his contact and clicked to input a new number. He then handed it over to Adeline. Sorry about the screen. It must’ve gotten crack when I was… well you know…”

Adeline felt her heart jolt when he looked.. almost- nervous? Or something? Then he calmed down, after she finished talking. Oh God, did she come off like she was trying to hit on him or-? Ah, jeez, she's just trying to help out, it's quite literally her job-Hoping she didn't make him horrifically uncomfortable, Adeline takes the offered phone gently. It's cracked-? Looking back up at his words, she resists a grimace. Yeah, getting attacked by a rabid animal could crack your phone, that sounds pertty viable. "I'm.. honestly surprised it isn't completely broken." She says, typing in her number, and putting herself down as 'Adeline .N' in his contacts. She offers him his phone back afterwards, a tinge of a smile on her face. "Always funny how that works out." |

“The guy who found me said I was lucky, but I don’t feel as such,” he murmured as he used his new contact to send Adeline a message. A quick “Hey, it’s Jack.” so that she can quickly add his number to her phone. He wondered for a second how Delvin’s pack would have to about this if they saw him right now. Surely there’s no harm in making friends with humans, is there? After all, they still don’t know for certain if he is a werewolf or not. Even if he was, why shouldn’t he try to have a normal life?
He didn’t even know who he was trying to justify himself to. To his knowledge, no one from the pack was here. No one was here to judge him.

Adeline gave him a small smile, if a bit tinged with sympathy. Adeline's heard it all, even with her job she's not had too long. Even if they're alive, it doesn't mean they're 'lucky' in the way people make it seem. "You got hurt, it's not something- to, to take lightly." She starts, glancing down to the message he sent. She replies with a little 'Hi Jack(:' before looking back up to him, head tilted, before she perks up and takes another sip of her coffee, an idea in her head. "You're new around here, right?- If you want some.. suggestions on- well, good places around town just.. let me know." She offers, voice trailing off to a quieter end of her sentence. |

Jack found himself smiling again at Adeline’s offer, a tad amused at how it looked as though she was trying to break out of her comfort zone. It was probably a big step for her to invite a complete stranger to show the town off, even if it was just sending him recommendations through texts. He knew he himself wouldn’t be that brave. Had she not come along or had decide to sit somewhere else, Jack would have been content to sit alone in his corner, possibly dead asleep trying to do his research. It was just nice to make a friend, he’d guess. At least with her, she looked at his injuries with sympathy and offered advice to make it somewhat better.
“Yeah I’ll definitely let you know. Thanks.”
(Adeline needs to be protected at all costs she’s adorable)

Adeline's shoulders drooped a tad at his slightly more there than before smile, giving a nod. "Yeah,- of course." She responds in a slightly higher pitched, somewhat surprised tone, putting her elbows up on the counter, and glancing down towards her food. Should she just.. eat now? Would that make an awkward silence or.. Adeline just sighed at herself exasperatedly internally, and went about carefully picking up her sandwich, and took a bite out of it. Adeline nearly forgot how hungry she is.. Well, she nearly forgot about that, and the still slightly foreboding feeling at the back of her head, but.. food. There are priorities here, and food is currently one of them. (She does! And I'm actually so excited for the friendship with these two! It's gonna be a wild ride, a in denial shifter, and in slightly less denial witch xD) |

I know I said I'd put Javalle in the diner but now I am not so sure since nearly everyone seems to be there lol... Any suggestions? I'll probably think of somewhere eventually but idk. To diner or not to diner that is the question)

(I second the time skip! Really excited to see how things play out! But I don't want anyone's characters to feel rushed; it's not even my decision to make. Also Junospower I lied I have one more thing planned for Javalle before Jack checks in his application! It's mainly going to be for character development purposes but I do need permission first. Speaking of... Hushabye would you be okay if, before the full moon, Javalle has a nightmare about Zhenya? He's secretly intimidated by him since he feels like the security of the library has been invaded by a much larger feline shifter. He's mainly on edge but it'll probably take no more than a message! Just some filler angst for my boy~) |

Having long since finished his coffee and muffin, Jack made awkward eye contact with a passing waitress, signaling he was ready for his check. As much as he wanted to stay, there was no point in sitting in silence while Adeline finished her meal. And besides, he had her number now, it’s not like he’ll never see her again. The waitress hurried back with his check and Jack just as quickly handed over the coupon as well as shilling out the amount needed for his muffin.
“I’ll let you finish your meal now, it was nice meeting you Adeline,” he smiled as he gathered up his books.
