Yes, it's awesome! I was so anxious when it moved and I've been very excited to watch the updates. I'm really looking forward to seeing ARD come to a conclusion, since I believe Volume 3 is the last volume.

Poll Stories in General

• They were posted one chapter at a time, which was quite inefficient looking back. So there would be multiple paragraphs between poll questions.
• Said poll questions were mostly dialogue/action choices for the PoV character, like in an RPG. These usually didn't have much of a real impact on the story. You would get different responses listed in the beginning of the next question, but only rarely would they actually change the story unless it was a cliffhanger or something.
• I believe they were conventionally written in second-person. I know the CloudClan series was, as was mine because I was a big fan and it probably inspired me.
• Since you can't reply to polls, and finding all the chapters of the story you were following amid everyone else's was a hassle, authors set up "headquarters" threads in Warriors Misc. (although I think Fan Fiction would have been a more appropriate board, since that's what they were making). Here, the author could compile links to all their chapters, keep an allegiances page and a fan list, and interact with readers.

The CloudClan Series

• This was the most popular poll story series circa 2012-2013. I have forgotten its author's name, but I think it started with an R. Tufttail, who was Irish and whose avatar was Sasha from her manga, was a good friend and possibly co-author of hers. It had a very long fan list, lasted long enough that the very first chapters might have been auto-deleted, and the HQ was quite active.
• The first series was called "Rise of CloudClan." There were three Clans: the titular one, HazelClan, and BirdClan. I remember little of the plot or characters, sadly, except for a comic relief character named Bouncepelt who mentored the PoV character. Naturally, he was the most popular and a mascot of sorts for the series. The PoV character was probably female and had the prefix "Moss___", I think
• The sequel series might have had "Fate" in the title. There may have been a third, but I don't know if it was finished.

Can I post about my own poll story even if nothing of the actual writing survives? It was also decently popular, which I'm still kind of proud of to have accomplished at 12, but I don't think it was notably popular. I have an old notebook at home with some notes and plans for the chapters I never got around to writing; I could share those when I can get my hands on it. And regarding ZPOF... I will share eventually, but I need to prepare myself mentally to drag all that out.

Oh boy.  Let's see how much I can drag up from my memory.  Man, I wish this was preserved somewhere (like if I'd typed it into a document instead of directly into the posting window).  It would be interesting to see how I've grown as a writer since then, or at least if there's any cringe gold I've repressed.  This might be kind of a mess because my memory functions as a web of associations.  If any former fans are reading this, I apologize for taking an MSTing tone in my summary.

The Original
So somehow I can't remember the title of my own story, which is sad because it's the only non-oneshot fanfic I've ever actually completed.  Anyway, the first chapter covered the MC's birth and was used to create them.  I decided their design by popular vote.  They ended up being a blue(?) she-cat named Skykit/paw/feather.  I think this protagonist had two brothers, one of whom was nice and one of whom was a jerk.  Because I was 12, those were basically their only character traits.  The nice brother was named Blackkit/paw/tail?.  The jerk brother was named Volekit/paw/claw? and eventually became an all-out villain, I think.  Skyfeather had a best friend named Aspenfall, a gray-and-white tabby.  I remember nothing of the main plot of this arc, sadly, but there was a B-plot based on something I'd verbally RPed with my brother (because I had no friends lmao).  Skyfeather's childhood friend Berryfur, who was somehow a purebred Russian Blue, was prophecied to go off and form his own Clan.  So he just went off and did that.  So BerryClan just became a thing one day, and the others were all just fine with it.  It was kind of this story's SkyClan in that it was isolated (albeit not to their degree) and populated largely with former rogues and kittypets because Berryfur and his apprentice Granitepaw/heart had to go on a journey to find members.  The most memorable was an orange tabby Manx named Cheeto who also answered to the warrior name Dustyfur (because Cheeto dust lol).  The main characters' Clan was called TreeClan, and they had been living in huge trees with improbable numbers of hollows for so long that their paws had adapted to climbing up and down trunks and holding branches.  There was also a MossClan that lived in a swamp, a WaterClan, and a... StoneClan?  Their Gathering place was a mountain?  Just paining a picture of the setting.

While there were arcs of a few chapters each, the story was mostly about exploring this setting through Skyfeather's eyes.  There was an early chapter, maybe the fourth, where she was an older kit and another queen in the nursery gave birth.  One of her two kits, a golden tabby tom named Lightkit, died soon after birth.  For some reason, Lightkit became a spirit advisor to Skyfeather?  He contacted her in dreams a few times regarding whatever the plot was, or whatever dramas she was facing?  Lots of "angelic child" imagery. 

This is where it gets kind of weird.  Remember when I said Berryfur was Skyfeather's childhood friend?  Yeah, they had a thing before he left to create BerryClan.  They didn't just have a thing, they did the thing, because guess what?  Toward the end of the series (a chapter in the early 20s), Skyfeather finds out she's pregnant.  In hindsight, I went into too much detail about pregnancy and birth.  She goes into labor at the end of chapter 24 and spends chapter 25 having a difficult birth.  She blacks out, and Lightkit appears to her again.  He tells her something that I thought was so emotional at the time, and... turns into a stream of sparkles that go into her stomach?  And is promptly reborn as Skyfeather's kit.  I think there was a prophecy about this.  Lightkit 2: Fanfic Boogaloo has a sister named Dawnkit, who's blue like her parents.  Somehow, oxygen deprivation due to birth complications caused her to be mute.  I didn't understand how anything related to muteness works: I specifically remember describing her opening her mouth to mew, but no sound coming out.  Anyway, the 26th and final chapter is a happy ending denouement for all.  I'm sorry if this summary was messy and boring, I just really don't remember much for actual plot.  It can't have been that interesting, then, especially if I don't even remember the title of my own story.  How did this get popular?

Annnnnnnd I'm going somewhere now but I'll get to the marginally more interesting arc later!  Should I edit this post or make a new one when the time comes for that?
