tell us the heather story! so basically it was this girl I was friends with. her original screenname was ~*AJ*~ and then she changed it to heather in fancy letters. she was really cool, really sweet. and then she just started changing. I don't know why, but she got grouchy and kinda disappeared from the forums for a few days at a time. she was "mates" with this guy named Dakota. and then one day she disappeared and never came back... a month or so later.. maybe more, I can't remember - her "brother" came on and told us that she had gotten in a car accident and was in the hospital. and then about a week later she died. that's what we thought anyway. she came back like a year later and tried to apologize and reconnect. said that her brother really had been the one to come on, but he only told us that so that she could move on and quit the forums. lame excuses and such. gosh dangit heather
okay okay, I'll be serious
that sounds interesting, but I hate it when people lie about dying, it makes me feel awful

Just thought I'd add something here, I'm pretty sure The Forum Ghost wasn't actually banned, they just stopped kind of left. About 2 (I think) years later, they starting coming back. The last couple of times they came with more "forum ghosts", I don't remember all of them, but I believe there was a Forum Spirit, Forum Phantom and Forum Soul. If I remember correctly, The Forum Ghost posted a few times after it had been announced that the forums were closing.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it or talked about it, but when "mates" were a big thing. I don't remember the year (I think 2013-2014) but you would scroll down the otd(?) page and there would be at least 5 "looking for a mate!" pages. Someone even set up a "dating" page. You would fill out a forum and then they would match you to someone who had similar interests.

I posted here awhile ago and never replied again lol. cx Anyways for what I mentioned here. Fritter critters: Fritters was a group ran by myself which began 2012 and ended (forum wise) in 2016 with the closing of the old wcf. I still have the project/group offsite but on a sorta hiatus. It took place on a fictional planet and the "game's" goal was to collect fritters- it has several versions, up to v5, which I have links to on the wayback machine so I can maybe get screenshots but eh. I used to hold scavenger hunts and other events and we'd rp and chat, primarily. Mostly chat. The name got changed from "fritter critter adoptions to "Fritter Critter and Nocturnal Imp Adoptions" at either v4 or v5 (v4's link on wayback machine doesn't work anymore). We got forced to move to otd after staff deemed my group "wasn't art centered enough" which we tried to get a petition to stop lol. cx The two longest members besides myself were wonderingsoul and Funeral Embrace For The Dying Heart, who still own fritter characters. There's more to it than that as it was a biggish group and a lot of fun times and memories in it for me but that's the short version? Umbrulf adoptions: This came before fritter critters, an adoption center by wonderingsoul for her species, umbrulfs. I forget the dates but I think it started in 2012, then sometime that year was kicked off the forums due to mods deleting the threads? There was a site move, and then the group was closed, and then we came back to warriors. Since this wasn't my personal group but a friend's group (I was a member and artist though, along with... Moss something? Feather, Star, and a few others I can't recall some usernames sadly.) I don't have much to say, it was fun though. Wonder later created Kerpouffle adoptions too, these really pretty pixel bouncy creatures, which I think may have come to the new wcf (it was on chickensmoothie for a bit though because the wcf mods thought she was stealing her own art or something equally silly... she wasn't obviously). Valley Fortress: I summed up on my last post. cx I think it's odd no one recalls it. It had a lot of posts constantly and was funny but... violent when I think back on it. All stick figures though. Plus it had 2 parts. It left in it's wake a legacy of interactive comics (including my own lol) but it was the most popular for awhile and actually finished so it was a complete story. I sorta remember bits and pieces of the plot? I remember the character being trapped in valley fortress (growing a beard at one point after standing around doing nothing?), in part 2 there was an evil race of alien... cat... things but one was his ally (I think he fought her and won and she helped him after that?). There was a big boss battle and other drama and madness as well. It was created by Purdy. Early adoption centers: Way back in... I'm not even sure sometime between 2009 and 2012, probably 2010? Anyways there were adoption centers on the art forum focusing not on original species but on dta (draw to adopts) or fcfs (first come first serve) adopts, usually cats, on colored linearts. I have some of the art on my old computer I can upload if you want a section on that. cx We got in trouble several times for "stealing" but it was because the linearts were freebies from da heh. Masked Demons: Ran by a user who I forgot the name of, they were a fairly popular closed species adoption center (circa 2013). I have some of the old art of two I owned (I have permission from the owner to change mine to normal cat ocs as the center closed). Kandart adoptables: Another popular center but it didn't last long like the above due to the artist either being busy or loosing interest, not sure. Also have art from it still. They were fox like creatures. Ran by Dreamwonder. Areos: Another adoption center ran by my friend Dustwind! Who is still on these forums by the same user. It didn't last long but was popular while it did and the designs were lovely. LCOM: I'm sorry for contributing my own thing. I added fritters because it was already mentioned hah, but LCOM is probably one of the older comics, besides Sparrow's and Hawktalon's, that is still running *(and hasn't had several; parts/shoudl probably be doe by now) so that's... something. I also temporarily restarted the interactive comic phase on warriors! I think! I forget the gap between Purdy's Valley Fortress and my LCOM. Notable wcf artists on the art forums: Ravenshade, Lunabee, Grim Salt, Dreamwonder, wonderingsoul, Sorrel~♪, ❧ уυυ, BlinkChevrotian, ¤FireFiend¤, ~●ℓєgσℓαѕ●~ and like 2 people I can't remember the names of were among the most popular aside from people others have already listed! Some are still on the new forums too, or have been. Dragons 101: I don't have much to say and I think it was ran by ☠ ♫ Sacred Fire ♫ ☠. It was the predecessor of both umbrulfs and fritter critters. wow I'm kind of surprised mintedstar/fur xD The Hunger Games Phase came about, I want to say, probably close to when one of the last two Hunger Games movies came out. It started in the off topic portions, which I didn't really go into at the time. It used the Brantesteele simulator, and because people asked for volunteers (obviously) they couldn't always find enough people to fill the roles. They eventually became so popular that people started setting them up in the Cats/the Clans sections, and some people complained. A few may have gotten deleted I think, but they became such a fad they kept popping up. I left the forums for a short time (a few months, about) and when I came back they were gone. Literally, no idea what happened. I'll ask somebody on what happened there and also the Ashfur Wars, because I was only present for some of the aftermath of those. Basically, forumers on opposing sides either defending Ashfur as a heartbroken cat, or saying he should be in the Dark Forest, got into massive fights over this. @redheartofriverclan, were you around for those? Tell us, wizened sage |

Alright, cool.
I remember hearing about the Ashfur stuff, but I never went into Cats or Clans or wherever it took place at that time, so I only heard about it through people who were in it.
I think Hunger Games effected the WFF, since there were tones of fics that was basically a simulator only written out. @.@
