ok so i'm gonna add to something that was brought up in the mega post: iirc i was the one that made the night owlz get deleted the first time. i'm not 100% certain but i'm pretty sure i am the "troll" being mentioned. lemme clear some things up tell my side of the story and whatnot. keep in mind this was 4 years ago and i have improved a lot as a person since then. (edit: May not have been the one to get it deleted, DEFINITELY caused a lot of drama) it was early 2013, i was 12. i had been active on the warrior cats forum for about 1.5 years when i joined the night owlz. i went by the nickname "redd" because i was unoriginal and there was already a "red". for a long time i had a lot of good friends there! i still have a bunch of art i made for friends there! ( farrah, appy, ben, nic, and toby [there was a joke that she was a tree i dont remember why]) i believe i was halfway through 6th grade when i joined.at that point i wasn't often up too late but when i joined i would stay up til 11 most nights, chatting with them every day once curfew ended (7:00 my time). there was a lot of "randomXD" type humor like popcorn fight roleplays and stuff. i was in the rank of barnmate. then summer came along. i was a pretty established part of the chat at that point, and i was up til 1 or 2 am every night talking to these people! i knew a lot of the big OTDers too. i was actually getting pretty popular. and then i got banned. i had made a fake account to be a sorta "troll" account but it was barely trolling. i think what i did was i jokingly ask to fight people. it was honestly barely trolling and when i had logged off of that account i was unbanned. the next day they banned me. my parents found out and got mad at me but i won't get into that. basically what happened is that i lied that it wasn't my account and then because i had used a fake age when i signed up, the admins refused to unban me. i "leaked" this to friends over deviantart i think. there was a pretty big fuss. ( image here) and then i got a tumblr and got into the people on tumblr who were bashing the warrior cats forums and the people on there. i don't remember my blog name, but i was friends with swiftjay though at the time i did not know it was them. i ended up getting a friend's account (mistypool with some numbers iirc) and i went on that for a while. at that point i learned that random humor was a bad thing now (and also i got super depressed but thats a story for another day) so i started to hate the night owlz. okay now into the actual story of how i (edit: MAYBE) got the night owlz deleted: since random humor was Bad according to People On The Internet i decided to out myself as Reddew AKA Redd and created a new thing called the Sun Warriors (with an s cause using a z was stupid of course. it may not have been warriors but i am pretty sure it was. i could be wrong tho and if anyone remembers otherwise let me know) and one of the rules was no random humor. also the curfew was 7 am to 7 pm which looking at the reasons that the night owlz were created, was kinda dumb. but i did it because i thought i had seen evidence that they were being "elitist" and "thought they owned the concept of curfews". yeah. it was dumb and it ended in a huge fight lasting something like an hour before the mods came in and banned me and deleted the sun warriors and (edit: MAYBE) the night owlz. i left the forums more or less until i returned as etcetera in august 2015. sorry this was so long but basically that summer means a lot to me bc it's the summer i stopped being a kid (for other reasons as well as this) and i wish i wouldve done things different. glad i could be mentioned in wcf history even if it was sorta a throwaway line and a bad thing. tl;dr got banned, got salty, was young and impressionable, started an argument, (edit: MAYBE) got night owlz deleted also! i had a bad interaction with swiftjay in late 2014/early 2015 wherein i was sorta trolling and i said something like "wow i cant believe i was every friends with you SJW" and a lot of hurtful things about trans people and otherkin because at that point i was still super impressionable and had been reading a lot of tumblr in action so i was a major jerk. doesnt excuse what i said, but just trying to give context. idk if they even remember this but i feel really bad about it so swiftjay if ur reading this im sorry! i was awful! and to anyone else i knew in the night owlz days! sorry! edit: according to the official night owlz post it was in relation to the hacking of a blog? so maybe im remembering things wrong. but i do remember that it caused a lot of drama. |

oh my god holy cow that was long i really rambled there edit: as im reading im just getting more and more memories so uh here we go i was there in the beginning of the bread war and like 5 minutes after it was deleted someone made a topic about aspertame causing cancer and i was like "no it doesnt according to the american cancer association" and that turned into a fight. it was a good one but overshadowed by the bread war. i was super mean to colakit on my blog! i regret that and everything basically so if she reads this im sorry! and i have a few screenshots to add to the collection!    again sorry about all this i just have so many childhood memories on here and its sorta a catharsis thing bc the old wcf was the symbol of my childhood and yeah |

uh here's a summary if you don't put in the whole thing (which is what i would do)
i got banned and then thought that random humor was bad and banhopped to create a new chat, the sun warriors, where there was no random humor and had a 7 am to 7pm curfew because i thought they were being elitist and they thought they had a monopoly on the idea of curfew. there was a huge fight and that may have led to a deletion of the night owlz.
again sorry for editing things so much it was 4 years ago and the memories are foggy

No idea if you guys are still organizing this, but I saw "fritter critters" on the table of contents and I own that group so ye. cx If you have no info on that I guess I could contribute? Not sure if much will be said or not?
I also knew a few very popular rps that always seemed to be around (ex I was not apart of "Stranded at Walmart" but It had like 3 versions I think? Anyone recall that?), though most I did not join.
There was also Umbrulf adoptions which I would say was pretty active on the art forum, and Interactive comics! I recall mainly Purdy's "Valley Fortress"- a hilarious but actually pretty violent cartoon me and many others followed and the predecessor and inspiration for many more interactive comics.I also know early adoptables on the art forum, as I was apart of that, even if I wasn't particularly popular back then. This was before Umbrulfs or Fritters or the other centers that where pretty popular (I think they where Masked Demons, and one by Dreamwonder, and a few others I cannot recall the name of.) There are also "I'll draw your screenname." fad.

oh lord. it is a long story. I don't even know if I am the best one to tell it, I only know bits and pieces. but it was a whole forum-wide thing that broke peoples hearts in the beginning and enraged people in the end.
the best person to tell would be a user called Dakota, if he is still around. I doubt he is though. he would be as old as me now, and I am old

I don't know why, but she got grouchy and kinda disappeared from the forums for a few days at a time. she was "mates" with this guy named Dakota. and then one day she disappeared and never came back... a month or so later.. maybe more, I can't remember - her "brother" came on and told us that she had gotten in a car accident and was in the hospital. and then about a week later she died. that's what we thought anyway. she came back like a year later and tried to apologize and reconnect. said that her brother really had been the one to come on, but he only told us that so that she could move on and quit the forums. lame excuses and such. |
