Shifting Ground from Tunnels Below
Shift stared, enraptured, as Sun told her story. He couldn't believe that she was going to try to catch a hawk herself! He silently thought that one day he would be so brave that he would catch a hawk someday too. "What happened what happened? Did you get it?!"
Lichen that Creeps Across Cave WallsReturning to Camp through TunnelsWith Wind, blu Lichen kept moving, placing one paw in front of the other, focusing on getting herself, her to-be, and their fallen comrade home. She couldn't reflect on what she had just witnessed, instead focusing all her energy on moving through the tunnels as swiftly as she could. Finally, they were nearing the last part of the tunnel that led to the tribe.
(gonna pause actually to see if LMM thinks now is an okay time to have them popping out with a dead body lol)

( 🐦silvermoon2🐦 No worries at all! I just wanted to check cause I know its easy to miss xx ) (no worries Little meow meow ! Take your time ))) ) Lightning Lightning puffed out his chest at the praise from his mentor. Not that he needed the ego boost, but it always felt good to be able to impress the older Fighter. 'I wanted to use something you wouldn't expect,' he mewed cooly as he gave his paw a lick and drew it over his ear, nonchalant in his bragging. 'Can we try something a bit more advanced this time though?' he asked, wanting a challenge, 'maybe you can do a sneak attack!'. Eyes lighting up with excitement at the prospect, the to-be started going through potential defense moves for the situation in his mind.

( blu thanks for understanding! ) Pebble Training, with LightningPebble nodded thoughtfully at the young tom's request for more of a challenge. ' Ok' the tom replied.' Since a cave-guards job is to defend the cave, we should probably just focus on defense moves, but it would be good to practice a sneak attack just in case.' Pebble had to admit that Lightning's overconfidence was annoying him, but he tried to keep a calm demeanor. ' Ok, so I am going to be behind that boulder over there' Pebble meowed, gesturing to a boulder with pebbles and small rocks surrounding it in front of them.' And you are going to sneak up on me without me noticing'Pebble continued. He had deliberately chosen the boulder since he knew it would be harder for his apprentice to maneuver around the boulders, which would present a challenge for him. Pebble headed to the boulder and began grooming himself behind it, trying to engross himself in his activity, while also waiting for his apprentice's attack.

(( bluewonder blu Also didnt notice you askin me 'bout the dead body stuff but anytime is fine at this point. I'm sure not gonna cry if we have some minor interruptions in the tribe's stuff rn )) Storm • Tom • HunterLocation: Tribe Territory with Mistblu In truth, it wasn't as if Storm knew Lichen well enough to claim with certainty how she felt one way or another about her time in the nursery, but she certainly didn't have the charm of a doting mother happy to spend her days caring for her own kits. A statement that might have been unfair to make, and thus why he didn't go out of his way to make it in the first place. Regardless, the topic of the kits themselves was a far more endearing conversation and he had to agree with his mate there, "Getting to that age, wanting to explore and the like I'd bet." he responded cheerfully, perhaps in part just glad to see the clan growing again. Granted, he couldn't say that there had been a particular lack of kits born either, no less than usual in a sense. There were a small number of apprentices after all that had come before Lichen and Mountain's kits. He'd have liked to see more, though, maybe his own someday.
A mrrow of laughter soon escaped the tom as Mist rolled over from his truly 'devastating attack', though he hardly had time to respond before his legs took a beating, the calico dramatically flopping forward on top of the she-cat as if he'd been swept right off his feet. A dramatic though playful gasp escaped him over the she-cat's words, however, as he smirked mischievously, "How naughty you've become, oh you'll be just a terrible influence on me!" he teased, as if he weren't the real troublemaker among them. Peak • Tom • StonetellerLocation: Stoneteller's Den with Flightbluewonder Peak furrowed his brow in a mix of curiosity and concern for their missing heir, though he did his best not to display it in too alarmed a manner. After all, despite knowing Dust to be more... hmm, mature, perhaps, it was always a possibility he had simply found something worth looking into. Flight had spent that morning doing something of that nature so he could hardly fault a more experienced cat looking into matters they deemed worth exploring. "Perhaps so." he soon replied as if to assure the young cat, though it might have been more for himself than anyone. After all, Dust himself aside, the Stoneteller wasn't sure his age would allow him much more time to continue training Flight on his own. He'd need to begin relying more heavily on younger cats at this rate...
Shaking such worse case scenarios from his mine, the sandy tom trained his eyes back on Flight who'd deemed to delve into a sea of her own worries. Even so, it was her inquiries that soon drew him back to the focal point regardign the eagles themselves. "It's far less common than a single eagle surely..." he admitted thoughtfully, "But there have been times in the past where unexpected situations such as this have occurred." His age did have one benefit, he'd seen and heard many things both good and bad. "It's dangerous but with careful planning and skilled cats, even a pair of eagles are just prey." As with Shift, Bramble had made his way back to the nursery with his crunchy little leaf and settled his small body in the comfortable mossy nest. Although interested in the story Sun was telling, most of the enthusiasm was left to his brother as the small tom found himself growing a bit drowsy, even the crunch of the leaf under his paws and head doing little to prevent him drifting off into a light enough sleep.

Flight nodded, appreciative of the old sandy tabby's assurances. Death was a topic she thought very little about, so with Peak's words to comfort her, she pushed the thought out of her mind. "Okay. Thank you, Stoneteller." She jumped up onto her paws and whirled around , shooting out of the den without a second thought. Once outside the den, however, she realized perhaps that wasn't the best way to leave the conversation. Peaking her head back inside, she added, "Sorry... was there anything else you wanted to talk about or wanted me to do?" Perhaps the old cat would wait on Dust to return before giving her other tasks. Lately, he seemed to be delegating more and more to the older heir.
Lichen that Creeps Across Cave Walls Entering Camp With Wind, blu ; and All of the Tribe, basically Finally entering the last stretch of the tunnels, Lichen pushed on, the light growing more and more, until she finally burst through into camp. Sheer adrenaline had carried her paws, and perhaps the Tribe of Endless Hunting had as well. For now, safe inside the camp, she dropped the body of Dust. Words escaping her, she let out a long mournful yowl to alert her tribemates to what had happened. Dust was nowhere near the middle of camp where the fallen usually were displayed, but her legs were trembling, and she knew Wind must be in worse shape. Turning around, she slid next to her daughter, pressing her head against her flank in a rare show of comfort. What had started as a simple training exercise had so quickly changed to a harrowing trauma, and she had enough motherly sense to realize Wind needed at least a little support at the moment.

Eagle In Clearing, with Rock Shadowfire ' Yes, that would be great, maybe-' Eagle's response was cut off by the sound of pawsteps rushing toward the cave entrance. Moments later, Lichen burst into camp dragging a cat with her, followed by Wind, the two cats looked distraught. ' What-'Eagle was about to ask what had happened when Lichen let out a mournful yowl and she noticed who the cat was that they had been dragging, it was Dust, the Tribe's heir. Eagle couldn't believe it, how had this happened, why was the Tribes heir dead. ' No!' Eagle let out a mournful yowl, echoing that of Lichen's.

Sun that sets behind the mountain(in nursery, with Shift and Bramble)
The she-cat told to the kittens: "The hawk flied, picking me with his sharp claws. But my brother, Rock, was having battle training near the spot. As high as the predator brought me, he fought and the only thing I can reming is my brother fighting like a true cave-guard." The prey-hunter was sobbing, but was hiding it because of the kits.

Wind Having lost track of time in the darkness of the tunnels, it was with surprise that Wind noticed the familiar walls that signalled the nearness of the camp. Half carrying, half dragging the body of the heir into the open, Wind released her hold on Dust and silently backed away as Lichen let out a yowl, her eyes staring blankly ahead of her. She'd been good friends with Dust. As a quieter cat, Wind had always found it difficult to connect with others, often finding that her insecurities sprung up around the louder and more confident to-bes. But it had been different with Dust -she always felt comforted when he was around, able to confide in the tom about her struggles and spending late nights talking and even joking around, something she wasn't able to do very often. Feeling a nudge at her side, Wind vaguely registered Lichen's presence. Allowing herself a rare moment of closeness with her mother, the she-cat lowered her head and rested her forehead against Lichen's shoulder, eyes still staring blankly at the ground.
Lightning (with Pebble, training area) With an excited nod, Lightning watched as his mentor disappeared behind the boulder. Weighing his options, the young tom took a moment to consider the best line of attack before making up his mind. Suddenly landing on an idea, he smiled to himself as he dropped down into a crouch and began to prowl forwards. He'll never see this coming he thought smugly. Making his way to the base of the boulder, Lightning lifted his head and wiggled his haunches, preparing to leap over the boulder and land ontop of his mentor. Although he wasn't exactly sure of Pebble's position, he decided to take the chance.
His strong back legs pushed him upwards as he leaped over the boulder. Paws and claws at the ready, he only realised once it was already too late that he'd mistaken the distance and was going to land, at best, on his mentor's backside. Panicking slightly, Lightning grasped at Pebble's back leg as he landed, his claws raking over the tom's side.
Mist As Storm flopped over onto her, Mist let out a playful shriek. 'Ah!' she laughed, eyes shining, 'Get off! You'll squish me!' Despite her protests, she was never happier than when the Tom was playing his tricks and messing about. So much of her young years had been spent in lonely seriousness, and so whenever she had moments like this with the Tom, she couldn't help but feel that the Tribe of Endless Hunting had blessed her with a second chance at finding the joy in life.
(I know that im literally the one writing these characters, but Mist is so sweet it makes me wanna cry :'( I just love her sm - if anything happens to her or Storm I will riot)

Pebble Training, with Lightning blu Pebble groomed himself while still remaining attentive for his apprentice in case he made a sound. If his apprentice was coming now, he was doing pretty good because he couldn't hear him at all, Pebble thought, begrudgingly impressed. Suddenly, he felt paws on his back leg and claws raking over his backside, Pebble whirled around to face his apprentice. ' That was a very good bit of stalking, I couldn't hear a thing' Pebble praised Lightning, though he expected the already overconfident apprentice wasn't in need of it. ' Though you could have judged your landing better, if this was a real attack, it would have been easy for me to turn around and pin you down instead.'Pebble meowed.

(( If anything happens to Storm or Mist, I vote we burn the entire tribe to the ground LOL Let them be dumb and happy gdi.)) Peak • Tom • StonetellerLocation: Tribe Camp with Lichen, Wind; Everyone Presentblu bluewonder A soft chuckle escaped the Stoneteller as he watched Flight bolt out with nary a word of goodbye, only to pop back her head back in like a confused mole. "No, that's all for now, Flight. Please stay out of trouble, though." he added softly, a trace of amusement in his eyes. However, the lightheartedness passed in a moment as he heard a yowl from the camp, the old cat rising to his paws and making his way out with a speed rare to see in the old cat. It didn't take long to figure out where the commotion came from, however, as the sight of the unmoving body of the clan's eldest heir came into view.
"By the ancestors..." Peak murmured to himself, his voice low and barely audible but stricken with a grief that threatened to topple the old cat where he stood. Wrapping his head around the sight almost felt to be too much, but even so he managed to remain upright and carefully stepped his way towards the body, eyes raising to the sight of Lichen and Wind. Although he would have liked to give them time to process, the young Wind seeming particularly in need of that care, the nature of this certainly demanded immediate addressing. "What has happened?" He inquired with a calmness that disguised the raging tempest of the emotions in his chest. Mountain • Tom • Cave-GuardLocation: Tribe Camp with Lichen, Wind; Everyone Presentblu bluewonder Mountain's fur rose in alarm and disbelief as he witness his mate and daughter barreling into camp with the corpse of the Tribe's Heir, immediately leaping to his paws. He hurried along the side towards the two she-cat's, tentatively moving in close and nosing each of them with a silent but palpable concern as if more worried that they might have been injured among whatever chaos had occurred. It was a rare sign of emotional attachment as he waylaid any questions he might have had in leu of twisting around them in a defensive gesture. Lichen certainly had things under control in the comfort department, surprisingly enough, but Mountain could hardly sit on the side and watch them in distress.
Storm • Tom • HunterLocation: Tribe Territory with Mistblu A dumb smile hung on the dilute calico's face as amusement laced his word, "Ah, yes! You have succumbed to my ultimate technique!" he exclaimed triumphantly, but it was that much more playful in nature. Squishing someone with his lanky form was, just perhaps, maybe not the most powerful of abilities one could muster but who was he not to lay into the joke that much more heavily. As heavy as he was not.
"My true calling was being a Cave-Guard all along!" he added, only rolling off the she-cat to display a comically over exaggerated stance that one might use before pouncing on their victim. With all the cartoonish behavior behind it, it might as well have been a very faulty hunting crouch for that matter. It really was these small goofy moments that made living as they did worth it.

Shifting Ground from Tunnels BelowNurseryWith Sun, Shadowfire ; and Bramble, Little meow meowShift blinked in amazement, more awake now than he had been. "Wow, that's so cool!" He mewed excitedly, unconsciously considering Sun and her brother to be way more impressive than he had before. He pawed at the feather in front of him, pretending he was Rock going after the hawk. "When I'm big, I'll take down so many hawks and eagles! I hope Rock is my mentor one day! I'm going to be stronger than him and Mountain combined!"
Flight of the Black-Winged BeetleStoneteller's Den, then CampWith Peak, Little meow meow Flight was in the process of giving Peak a smile at his kind words of caution, when she heard a yowl that made her fur fluff out even more than usual. With urgency she turned, eyes landing on the two whisper seekers and the lifeless body of Dust. No... not the lifeless body. It couldn't be his lifeless body. Flight took a few cautious steps forward. Maybe he was just wounded... Yes. Just wounded surely. He had to be - Dust in many ways had acted like an older brother to her- showing her the ropes, telling her what to expect. Though she and Lightning had a closeness that could only be shared by two cats close in age, Flight and Dust had shared a closeness that could only be formed by two heirs. No other cat had the same responsibilities or could understand her like he could. Granted, he struggled to understand her just as much as most of the clan sometimes, but... he got close. Yes, surely he was only wounded. Surely Peak would know what to do. This would just be a training opportunity for her to learn advanced medicinal skills, that's all.
Lichen that Creeps Across Cave Walls Camp With All of the Tribe, basically As the tribe began to gather, Lichen stepped away from Wind. Mountain had already joined them, and though she never showed any public signs of affection, she accepted his nuzzling graciously and was so relieved that she gave him a brief lick on the head. She then left the two to comfort each other, shaking off her fur as if to shake off the moment of emotion she had shown as she approached Stoneteller. With her voice loud enough for the listeners to hear, she recalled the incident, her voice level, but with a harsh sense of factuality to it. It was obvious that she had shoved her emotions down to be able to get through the report. "...That's when we saw Dust's body among the dead." She mewed, rounding out the conversation. "Galeclan lost one of their deputies too, it seems, a several other cats." She lowered her head, signaling her story was over.
(Sorry, I shortened the details lol)

Sun that sets behind the mountain (with Shift and Bramble, hearing Lichen)
The she-cat smiled at Shift's happiness squeaks. Hearing the drama from the clearing, the prey-hunter crouched near the entrance of the nursery. When almost going out of the den, she saw Lichen with Dust's bloody corpse. Sun wasn't close with the heir, but it was sad to the tribe lost their heir and had to select another one to carry the responsability.

Badger leaps to his feet when the patrol comes in with a unmoving body. He carefully climbs down curious to see what was going on. He lets out a gasp when he sees the bodies of Lichen and Dust. Who would do such a thing? Was this the clan cats doing? A part of him wondered if he had been apart of their patrol if he could have somehow prevented this.
