(Awesome, thank you lolo!) Flight of the Black-Winged Beetle -- Exiting Camp -- With Mountain, Little meow meow
Flight gave another bounce, this time of excitement, as Mountain stood to follow her. "Great! And I told you already, didn't I?" She didn't wait for an answer as she sped around him, successfully this time, to lead the way. She began to pick her way across the mountain, heading towards a relatively close adjacent mountain peak. "It's up there." She informed as she went, pointing with her tail. The nearby mountain peak had a small alcove in it, just big enough for the two cats to crouch under. True to her word, it wasn't very far away. She kept her eyes forward as she walked, but paused in appropriate places to make sure Mountain was keeping up- though his stride was much larger than her own, it was clear she was familiar with this path. Once they reached the alcove, she dropped into a squat and motioned for Mountain to do the same. "Hm..." She mused aloud, her voice now a whisper, her eyes trained looking straight ahead. From this position, the two cats could stare directly at a nearby mountainpeak that appeared to have an arrangement of twigs on it. "It shouldn't be long... she always comes back."

Lichen didn't reply to Wind, instead noting Sun as she returned into camp, laughing to herself. Perfect she thought. She couldn't wait to return to the tunnels... she felt as though she was going mad being stuck in the nursery these moons, and she truly was worried for what information the clan was missing while she was taking her leave. "Sun!" She called, hoping to catch the she cat's attention. "A word, please? Would you mind watching these two little hairballs for a moment so I can take Wind out for some training?" She motioned to her tail behind her, where her kits Shift and Bramble were playing.

Shift rose up from his brother's submissive form, feeling quite pleased with himself. He gave his chest fur a lick or two, eyes glinting with pride. "I'm going to be stronger than Mountain one day!" He boasted, wishing his father had been there to see his victory.

Storm • Tom • HunterLocation: Mountains with Mistblu Storm nodded in quiet delight as his mate seemed to recover quickly with the thought of their next challenge, one they all knew she'd win but he hardly minded. Despite his playful nature, he was a lot less actively competitive that one might have expected, and though he enjoy engaging Mist in such activities, he wasn't particularly sore when it turned up him losing. Of course, He was hardly going to hurt her pride by not putting his best paw forward, perhaps that reflected well on him as he put more effort than he might have otherwise t oassure her victories were that much sweeter.
Granted, she surely excelled over him when it came to hunting, so he really had to pull his own weight if he wanted to make it a challenge for her. "Sound's good to me." he replied with a pleasant enough smile as he began padding away from the mountains peak, towards the southern side. Mountain • Tom • Cave-GuardLocation: Mountains with Flightbluewonder Mountain wasn't sure what he'd expected, but he wasn't particularly surprised by the vagueness of the small Heir's words. After all, if she wouldn't even tell Stoneteller where she was going in the first place, he didn't really have high hopes she'd do that much for him, let alone even tell him what they were searching for. Even so, he hoped this really was worth his time. Despite the eagerness and experience to Flight's step, the massive tabby remained cautious, though he certainly wasn't about to fall so far behind a to-be that there was a concern. Then again one wouldn't expect him to be running around with said to-be at their beck and call. Though his brow raised, he settle down into a crouch, grateful for the shadows that helped mask his large body, the lack of understanding what hey were doing at for what purpose prickling anxiously at his paws. Afraid? Not necessarily, but even he couldn't deny that a lack of knowing was always a bad thing whether the small she-cat cared for that reality or not.
Although he followed Flight's gaze, he gathered no more undertanding by the sight at the nearby mountain peak, face contorting into an expression of growing annoyance. "What are you talking about?" he snapped in a whisper, growing frustrated by this little game the young cat was playing. Although he had caught the sight of the sticks and could have gleaned perhaps it was a nest, he didn't see how that was something so important for her to be sneaking out of camp for, Let alone something to be making such a fuss about not mentioning to the Stoneteller first. He didn't really want a worse outcome, but Mountain he couldn't help hoping there was at least some method to this madness, some sort of follow up to the sight that made this seem less like the foolish antics of a simple-brained to-be. Bramble • Tom • KitLocation: Nursery with Shift; Lichen, Wind & Sunbluewonder Bramble snorted in only the most minor of annoyance as he was freed from his brother's grasp, slipping out from under the larger kit with a swift lick of his own chest fur. However, he looked skeptically at Shift, just considering the massive form of their father compared the the absolute tiny mouse-sized creatures they were, comparably speaking. "Hmph, I don't know about that." The tabby tuft of fur retorted doubtfully, the very thought of them getting that large seeming impossible to the young kit despite the very likely nature of it. After all, whereas their elder sister certainly took after their mother, the two kits were practically spitting images of their father.
"I bet a beetle would eat you first." he added tauntingly, though he didn't really mean it in a mean-spirited sense of the word.

Flight of the Black-Winged Beetle -- In the Mountains -- With Mountain, Little meow meow
Looking back at Mountain, Flight seemed to track his frustration for the first time. Her face clouded with momentary concern. Why was he upset? To her, it wasn't complicated. It made perfect sense to her that they needed to assess the situation before they brought their concerns to Stoneteller, and she wasn't originally going to waste Mountain's time by doing so, until he seemed insistent on stopping her. She once more didn't realize that half of the information only lived inside her own head, a frightful lack of communication skills that had contributed to why many around the tribe questioned her role as heir. She opened her mouth to explain to Mountain, when at that exact moment, a huge shadow peaked over the mountain they were on, made larger by the object's closeness to where the two cats were hiding. Flying into view was a large and powerful eagle, its dark and white plumage bypassing the hidden cats as it soared deftly into the pile of twigs- as it was indeed a nest. Flight caught her breath- as dangerous as eagles were for the tribe cats, there was something undeniably beautiful about them. She watched as it gave a few landing flaps, then lighted gracefully into the nest below. At this moment, she realized the eagle had some extra twigs in her mouth. That also was expected to Flight, who had seen it do similarly before. Still whispering, Flight explained to Mountain. "I noticed the nest the other day while..." She trailed off, not wanting to admit that wandering on her own was a common practice for her. She continued speaking, hoping he wouldn't notice the absence of information. "...well, anyway, at first I thought it was just a regular nest, like perhaps a thrush or chickadee, so obviously I didn't say anything. I wouldn't bother Stoneteller over every nest that's built with the Time of Freed Water being just around the corner. But the next time I saw it, it had grown! The nest was far too big for the regular mountain songbirds. So I waited around, and... she came!" Her voice had risen with excitement for a moment, when suddenly she became quiet once more. She shifted her paws, obviously feeling uncomfortable with the information she divulged next. Her voice was once more a whisper, though the eagle was busy arranging the new twigs and paying no attention to the cats. "I was going to tell Stoneteller right away after that, but I knew with it being so cold lately especially not many cats were leaving the Karst... and she's been so busy building her nest... and she was just so interesting to watch... So... I just watched her for a day. And this morning I was going to tell him, honestly I was. But then I saw Storm and Mist leaving camp I realized... maybe the eagle also has a mate." She looked at Mountain, a hint of concern in her eyes. She knew how dangerous eagles were- every tribe cat heard stories from the moment they were kitted. But her youth and inexperience had kept her from putting together until that morning the rather obvious fact that the eagle was actively making a nest for her mate and herself, and what could only be their soon to be children. Flight flicked her tail back to the nest. "I was going to come back and watch for a little while, to see if I could spot the mate. I didn't want to tell Stoneteller without us knowing. I figured our tribe needed the full details of what we might be up against." (HI. Sooooo originally, in trying to make Flight a lil ~quirky~, I was gonna have her watching an eagle's nest for fun. That was like... my main thought lol. But then I realized that that's like... watching a murderer's house, and even Flight wouldn't be chill with not warning her tribe, so I came up for a reason why she had waited... and wrote this. But now I'm realizing this may be too close to introducing a major plotline to have one and possibly two eagles so close, so if we need to retcon this whole post we can. I just didn't think about it til this moment. Also chill with the eagle being just a loner or something, or maybe really old and not a threat or something if you wanna do it that way, or I'm chill with the cats just ignoring this altogether. I had just written it and didn't want to undo it and her not have a legit reason for being out, and now I've complicated things. Sorry. ) Lichen that Creeps Across Cave Walls -- Nursery -- With Shift ; Bramble, Little meow meow ; Wind, blu ; and Sun, Shadowfire
Lichen breathed a huge sigh of relief. Though the kits were still young enough to be nursing, they weren't completely helpless anymore, and she realized she might could start leaving them with sitters more often. "Thank you, Sun! I really appreciate it." Normally, a she-cat might would give an instruction or two about her litter- what to watch for, when their naps usually are, etc- but Lichen had no such reservations. She hopped to her paws, nodding for Wind to follow. She stopped just a moment to give a quick, "Be good now," command over her shoulder to her two little ones, before heading towards the deeper part of the camp cave. She paused as they came across their first set of tunnels, looking at her eldest child. "Before we go further, tell me where these tunnels lead." She quizzed. She may have shown her daughter these moons ago, but she wanted to make sure her memory was fresh. In a time of war or trouble, memory could be pushed aside by fear. She wanted to insure her trainee knew the tunnels inside and out, not knowing that Wind had been reviewing the tunnels mentally at night.
Shifting Ground from Tunnels Below -- In Nursery -- With Lichen ; Sun, Shadowfire ; and Bramble, Little meow meow
Shift furrowed his brow at his brother's remark. "No it wouldn't!" He exclaimed angrily. He was bigger than a beetle! He huffed, unable to think of a good come-back. "You take that back, or... or I'll tell mom!" He flipped his head around, already eager to tattle on his brother, when he saw his mother slinking away. The fire instantly died from his eyes. "Mom...?" He called, somewhat bewildered by her sudden disappearance, but she didn't seem to hear him. He looked over at Bramble, confused, then noticed Sun. "Where did Lichen go?" He asked.

Sun (in nursery, with Shift and Bramble) The she-cat purred and answered the kitten: "Don't worry! She will be out for a moment and guess who will take care of you.. Me!" The molly meowed happily to the siblings. Well, we can't discount one thing: Sun felt nervous, she was young but, the tabby cat knows that one day she would be a mother. This is the cycle of life. Mountain • Tom • Cave-GuardLocation: Mountains with Flightbluewonder Mountain wasn't the brightest cat to be sure, he was known for muscle not the intricacies of deep thought, but he doubted even those brighter than himself would have had an easier time with this particular cat. He couldn't help feeling like she was intentionally trying to get under his skin and make a fool of him, tragic given how unaware she had seemed up until this point that she was even being difficult. However, as the shadow fell over them, the large cat's fur stood on end and his eyes widened in silent shock, though he had barely kept himself silent. Shooting the young cat a glare, he let her speak if only because at this point he would be demanding answers if she didn't share them. Although he noted she had all but indirectly admitted to wandering off, he let it slide for the time being, rather focused on learning what in the name of their ancestors was going through her mind.
"You should have told Stoneteller regardless, he'd have wanted a warrior out here investigating, not a to-be barely out of the nursery." He hiss in a low voice as she concluded her explanation of the situation, more than a little agitated by the fool-hardiness of the young cat. "Even a smaller eagle could have sent you to the Tribe of Endless Hunting in no time... and to think you were hiding this discovery." However as it struck him the possibility of the eagle having a mate, he stiffened. One eagle was bad enough, two of them would be worse and if they were nesting here... He hardly wanted to consider their spawn all but taking over nearby peaks. He took a deep breath, calming himself after the initial shock, though still glaring at the young cat. "You're lucky I don't drag you back to Stoneteller right now, and you better believe I'll make certain you are punished for this kind of behavior so help me..." he began before a sigh escaped his maw, "But since we are already here, we will watch for this supposed mate. I will hear not a single complaint from you when I've decided we need to head back, though." (We can go with this eagle thing this time since it shouldn't cause too much issue, just please make sure I'm aware of plots before you start them in the future. Quirky characters are fine, and I understand this wasn't intentional, but for future reference I just have to be able to work larger plots around small ones without overwhelming folks, especially given differing posting speeds/availability/ect. ;;; )) Bramble mimicked the furrowed brow and though he opened his small mouth to say something, he didn't exactly have the time to as his brother zoomed off to tattle. "Oh come on, you can't just get mom whenev--" he began as he scamped after the other kit, cut off by the realization that Lichen was not in fact there anymore. Even the smaller of the kits couldn't help a briefly downcast expression, saddened that their mother hadn't even said goodbye to them before leaving. Of course, many likely knew Lichen wasn't the most doting mother by any means, but Bramble wasn't quite old enough to understand nor did he have any other mothers for reference, and couldn't help that pang of sadness growing in her absence.
Although Sun seemed happy enough to watch them, Bramble felt... wary. Not from dislike, of course, but an unfamiliarity, and perhaps a kit-like worry that Lichen might not come back. The immature, bratty part of him almost wanted to blame Shift for her leaving but he held his tongue and instead peered up at Sun with nervous curiosity.

( Little meow meow Yeah of course! I completely understand, that's why I was chill scrapping it altogether if needed. I just hadn't even thought about it and was just going with the flow until I realized my mistake. Sorry about that! But thank you for jiving with it for a moment! Shadowfire both of these kits are so bratty, I'm sorry hahaha ) Shifting Ground from Tunnels Below -- In Nursery -- With Sun, Shadowfire ; and Bramble, Little meow meow
Shift felt sadness over his mother leaving as well. It was an uncomfortable feeling, and one he wasn't prepared to deal with, so instead, he allowed it to turn to frustration. He glared at Sun through a scrunched, grumpy face, as if it was her fault that his mother had left. "I don't want to play with you." He huffed at her. His eyes, however, kept flicking down to watch the feather as it moved with Sun. "I bet you don't even know how to play any good games." In truth, neither did Lichen, but that didn't keep Shift from feeling like he needed to antagonize this new she-cat.
Flight of the Black-Winged Beetle -- In the Mountains -- With Mountain, Little meow meow
Flight flicked her ears back, noting the tone of Mountain's voice, and realizing in full the amount of trouble she would be in for this escapade. She nodded quietly, avoiding Mountain's glare, and kept her eyes on the mountain ridge in front of them. Her fur was fluffed up now, not against the cold, but because she realized she would now have to sit in this tense silence with Mountain, who had given her finding a much colder reception than she was expecting. (I'll let you decide if a mate comes up or if it's just a lone eagle! )

Mist (with Storm, mountains) Little meow meow With her pelt brushing against Storms’ as she walked beside him, the two cats started to make their way around to the southern side of the mountain. As they picked their way down the slope, rocky shingle gave way to short grass which carpeted the ground and made travel easier under paw, and eventually small shrubs began to appear. Blocked by the plants around them, the howling of the wind died down and Mist could speak to her mate with greater ease, ‘That was so much fun,’ she purred as she gave the tom a lick on the cheek, ‘I felt like I was back in my to-be days.’ Of course, the she-cat hadn’t been anywhere near that carefree when she was younger, struggling with the loss of her parents and the feelings of loneliness that came with that. It was only since becoming close with Storm that she’d been able to have the fun she’d missed out on as a younger cat. Coming to a small stream, the she cat lifted her nose to the air and breathed in the scent of rock and wind and earth. The cold, clean air filled her nose as she tried to make out any scent of something living. After a few moments she caught the faint earthy scent of mole. She turned to Storm, ‘Should we split off here?’ she asked him innocently, trying to hide the fact she’d already found something to pursue, ‘We can meet back here at sun-high.’ Wind (with Lichen, entrance to tunnels) bluewonder Wind trailed after her mother as she headed towards the tunnel entrances, giddy with nervous excitement at what lay ahead of them and hoping desperately that she wouldn’t disappoint her mentor somehow. At Lichen’s query, the young she-cat quickly piped up ‘the tunnels head towards the moorland, the first left branch heading towards the east and the first right branch heading towards south where the lavender fields are. If you continue straight ahead the tunnel winds around and heads back into the mountains.’ These were the very basics of her training and she’d been through them countless times, so had no trouble remembering.

The molly sighed, she didn't know what to do. Sitting in one of the nests, she told: "Do you think I wasn't a kit before? I know what it feels when your mother wants a break from take care of you.." The young prey-hunter closed her eyes, breathing in and out then she had continue: "I promise, when I play with you two, the time will fly and you mother will come back to you!" Sun smiled at the end of the phrase, looking at the kits.

(bluewonder I gotcha, I just wanted to be clear on the matter I'm always down to hear and allow plot ideas, and I try not to crack the whip too often on just letting people do stuff, but ya know, haha.) Mountain • Tom • Cave-GuardLocation: Mountains with Flightbluewonder With the young heir seeming to finally grasp the situation, at least from what he could tell, Mountain chose to ease off for the moment. He was not known for being a soft and cuddly cat by any means but there was no reason to further berate the apprentice for foolishness, and perhaps some of his temperament stemmed from knowing his own children had or would be getting into trouble themselves soon enough, depending. The Beetle-brained antics of the youth were frustrating but generally guaranteed of the newer generation.
Nevertheless, he settled in silence as the breeze ruffled his fur, simply watching the eagle go about it's work in unspoken dread. The massive creature wouldn't struggle much to make off with a cat, even and older one, and though the camp was nestled safely in the mountains where an eagle was not like to go, let alone actually be able to enter.. well, the tribes members didn't only stay inside that safe little area. Soon enough the resounding caw of an eagle reached his ears and he realized with horror it wasn't the one they were looking at, it seemed Flight might have been right. As he glanced upward, another eagle swooped downward and landed with a ferocity that sent dust kicking up around it beside the other eagle.
"Looks like we have our 'mate'..." he snorted quietly, "Now lets head back before they notice us and turn you into a meal." With that added statement, he nudged the heir back towards the way they had come. Storm • Tom • HunterLocation: Hunting with Mistblu Tough as their paw pads could be, suited to the mountains as they were, Storm couldn't deny the enjoyable sensation of the cool, soft ground beneath his paw. It certainly soothed the dull ache that tended to form after intense sprinting about on the hard surfaces and over pebbles. "Glad to hear it, it would be a tragic failure on my part if you didn't have a good time." he replied with his own purr, affectionate and perhaps over the top as he brushed against Mist's long-furred form.
"Oh, how dreadful it is to part...!" he began with a melodramatic tone, though his eyes twinkled with mischief, "But jokes aside, it sounds like a plan." If nothing else, he seemed not to realize the she-cat was bamboozling him this time. Bramble • Tom • KitLocation: Nursery with Shift & Sun@bluewnder Shadowfire Bramble's round bright eyes seem to flick between Shift and Sun for several confused moments, as if trying to decide whether to go along with Shift's belligerence or accept Sun's earnest attempts. Being a child, he wasn't, perhaps, the best at that kind of forward thinking, and only found him feeling a bit more on the stressed side by trying.
However, a thought did strike him soon enough, and he looked up at Sun eagerly, "Can we play in camp?" he asked, eager to get out of the Nursery at the very least. With all the stones, small ledges, and nooks, well, it sounded more fun to explore than the moss and feathers of the den.

Sun (in nursery, with Swift and Bramble) The molly nodded to the kit. "Yes, you can. But, not too far!" Sun warned, looking and a bit lost in her thoughts. The prey-hunter reflected if she wants to her family to continue or if her brother, Rock, will do it. The ginger cat saw she was good on kit-sitting duty, but she wants this for her life? Shaking her head, the thoughts went out of her mind. She trotted out of the den to see the kittens playing. (Tags: bluewonder and Little meow meow

Shift's fluffy tail shot up at the idea of getting to play in camp. Lichen had allowed them to be barely outside the nursery on so few occasions, for no real reason other than she didn't have to commit as much effort into watching them as she did when in the nursery, though of course Shift's young age kept him from realizing that. He bolted out of the nursery without waiting on his brother, batting at Sun's paws quickly as he passed her, unable to contain his excitement. "Come on, Bramble, watch this!" He yowled, grabbing at the first pebble he saw and batting it so it skid between his paws. He half hoped that Sun was watching as well, eager for affirmation that tended to be more difficult to come by with his mother.
Flight of the Black-Winged Beetle In the Mountains With Mountain, Little meow meow Flight's breath caught as she watched the second eagle enter into view. With every passing heartbeat she spent on that ledge with Mountain, she was feeling a little less mystified by the beautiful creatures, and more aware of the danger they possessed for her tribe. Having the presence of a serious adult in what had been her own private adventure just moments before had taken the naïve fun out of her discovery and added a dose of reality. At Mountain's command, she nodded, slinking away from the cliff face and back the way they had come, letting Mountain lead the way obediently this time. She was less eager to tell Stoneteller the news now that she realized the problem had indeed multiplied. "Mountain? I can tell Stoneteller about the eagles myself, if you'd like. I know you're probably still busy." She offered levelly, glancing at him. Flight wasn't typically one to lie or bend the truth, it wasn't in her nature, though she did feel as though her supposed punishment would be lessened or perhaps nonexistent should she tell Stoneteller rather than the tom. She felt like Mountain would perhaps emphasize a little too strongly than she thought necessary about her solo excursions or her delay in mentioning the eagle.
Lichen that Creeps Across Cave Walls Tunnels With Wind, blu Lichen gave a quick dip of her head to Wind, acknowledging her correct answer. She expected as much, however, and would have been disappointed for less, so she kept her approval short. Her own paws were itching to race down every tunnel, but she had to restrain herself- they only had time to explore the deeper Galeclan tunnels, as she had mentioned previously. After that, she knew with reluctance they'd have to head back for her to check on her kits. She flicked her tail, beckoning Wind onwards, as she continued at a slower pace into the tunnels that lead to Galeclan. The darkness around them began to deepen, and she could feel her eyes adjusting to the low light. She allowed her whiskers to trail along the narrowing tunnel walls, knowing that soon her sense of touch and smell would be all she had to guide them. They continued on for a while in silence. Then, knowing that they would soon come upon a part of the moorlands accessible only by these deeper tunnels, she began to call back short instructions to her to-be. Her voice was barely a whisper. "We are nearing the tunnel exit. Remember, if you can smell and hear cats, then they can smell and hear you. So from this point on, we are silent. Keep your body low and watch your pawsteps. Stay only in the shadows." Lichen took a moment to scrub her pelt on the open earth around her, allowing the dirt to cover her pelt. Though her fur was already dark enough to blend with the shadows, she knew adding more of the earthy scent would help mask her on the windy moorlands. Content with her work, Lichen gave one last look to her trainee to insure she had done the same, then took the lead once more, silently taking pawfuls of ground underneath her as she climbed to the top of the tunnel. There was much involved with exiting a tunnel- once out from the safety of the earth, anything could happen. If you didn't check with all of your senses first, you could emerge right in front of a clan patrol and forevermore alert the clans to the tribe's secrets. Their job was to be near ghost-like, a tradition that Lichen never took lightly. These dangers had all be warned to Wind in the past, and while she ordinarily would let her take the lead to assess her exiting ability, she knew this particular tunnel exit was new to the young she-cat. Lichen opened her mouth, drawing in the surrounding scents. The warm, grassy scent, so unlike the crisp mountain air of the tribe or the boggy smells of Mossclan, invaded her nose and mouth. No cat or predator scent came, so, with extreme caution, she popped her head through the tunnel exit. Sudden light blinded her momentarily, but she was prepared for this and quickly adjusted once more, taking in the surroundings. Galeclan was often particularly tricky to spy on, as the open grasslands made clinging to shadows difficult. This tunnel exit, however, had been strategically placed, hidden behind a small boulder at the base of one of the moorland's hills. Between the rock and hill, a cat could slip onto the surface relatively unseen, which Lichen did. Her belly was flat against the ground as she crawled quickly to the boulder's shadow, her eyes narrowed to hide their color and her ears back against her head. She glanced back at the tunnel exit, watching to see how Wind fared with her own exit technique.
{{{ If we are still okay with them overhearing the Galeclan drama, I'm cool with rewinding a bit and overhearing the part that has already been said between Palewhisker and that group! We can RP as though the Galeclan hunting patrol is just now walking up to that area so we have something to play off of! }}}

(( Sorry this took so long to get to ToT And that'd be fine, Bluewonder )) Although surely excited to get to play around camp, he was a bit more hesitant than his brother in rushing off, more tentatively passing the Nursery's exit into the clearing. His wide eyes, however, showed his excitement and he was soon scampering across the clearing with similar enthusiasm.
"Aw that's easy, you should see this..!" he exclaimed, though only goofing off as he scrambled up a few stones, though he wasn't going too high up. He certainly didn't want to risk hurting himself.
Mountain • Tom • Cave-GuardLocation: Outside Camp with Flightbluewonder When they'd sufficiently bought themselves some distance from the mountain top and the eagles that roosted nearby, Mountain's muscles relaxed with a sigh. Eagles were bad news, and more eagles would only be worse news. He was sure they'd need to send a patrol to deal with them or something of that nature. Not that Mountain was particularly excited to fight the winged creatures, what with their sharp talons and beaks on top of the whole flying bit. "Hmph, and let you worm your way out of proper repercussions? I think not." the massive tom retorted curtly, though he hardly wanted to be the one to bring news of a threat to camp. Granted, he would rather there was no threat at all but that seemed well beyond possible at this point.
Soon enough they'd approach the opening in the stones that led into camp, Mountain slowing a touch to actively allow the younger cat to enter first. Even so, his ears twitched in recognition of a few playful mews from the camp, a certain softness briefly crossing his stern features.

Sun that sets behind mouintain (In camp, with Swift and Bramble)
"Just remind to be careful!" Sun yelled to the kits hear. As a quick thought about her littermate crossed her mind. She would go search her brother but, the prey-hunter is going to watch the kits first.

(I'm back baby! ) Wind (with Lichen; Tunnels) bluewonder With Lichen's barely registrable nod of approval, the older cat turned and plunged into the darkness of the tunnels. Wind took a second to steady herself before following her mentor into the shadows, breathing a sigh of relief as her field of view shrunk down and the earthy scent of cave walls filled her nose. It was a common trait of a whisper-seeker to feel at ease in the tight spaces of the tunnels rather than in the open air of the mountains - and Wind was no different. It was one of the few time's she felt truly safe and at peace with herself. Following close behind her mentor so as not to lose sight of her in the darkness, Wind felt the tunnel narrow considerably on either side of her. Having been down the Narrowing a few times already, she was able to take a bearing of their location in the tunnels. Expecting to continue straight on, Wind was surprised when Lichen suddenly turned left into a passage of which the she-cat had never taken notice before. She'd been expecting to turn into one of the steeper passages up ahead, which Lichen had told her led closer to the Galeclan camp, and her brow furrowed with confusion at this unexpected turn from the usual. Pushing aside her surprise, the she-cat tried to commit the location of the turn to memory... a left turn 20 steps from the start of the Narrowing. After a tight bend in the tunnel, the To-be could begin to make out a shimmer of light up ahead and realised they were nearing the opening of the cave even before her mentor alerted her to it. At Lichen's example, Wind rubbed her pelt against the earthy walls and prepared herself for the exit she knew was coming. Her excitement was growing by the second, but once again she forced herself to push it down, knowing that her work required a clear head unmuddied by emotion. After Lichen had made her way out of the cave, Wind narrowed her eyes against the brightness of the light she knew was impending and carefully raised her head out into the open air. She took a deep breath and assessed her surroundings - the direction of the wind, any scents of other cats, and the vegetation around them. Happy that the coast was clear, she slunk out of the cave and to her mother's side. With eyes still adjusting to the light, she waited for her further instructions. (Yeah super happy to do a rewind! Are you read up on what the Galeclan patrol did when they found the bodies? I didn't manage to catch up on that so happy for you to take the lead rp wise) (Also! thought it would be fun to give some names to sections of the cave system so we can begin to make a map) Mist (with Storm, hunting) Little meow meow Mist rolled her eyes in amusement at Storm's melodramatic acting. 'It'll only be for a short while my dear,' she purred as she gave the Tom a final lick on the cheek, 'I promise we will be reunited soon.' With the plan finalised, Mist turned to walk delicately into the brush, casting a final glance back at her mate before disappearing from view. Knowing Storm, she knew he probably hadn't picked up on her excitement at having a lead to follow, and so pressed on with newfound determination to win at least one of the games they played today. Head angled towards the ground, the grey she-cat slunk through the sparsh brush in search of the mole she had scented earlier. The grass underfoot muffled her pawsteps, and she made sure that her tail and long pelt didn't brush against the dry branches of shrubs as she neared the source of her trail. Slowing down, she sunk to the floor and settled in for the wait. In the mountains, hunting tended to be more of a waiting game than anything else, and cats that could stay alert and focused on their prey for long periods of time were often the most succesful - and that was something Mist could undoubtedly do. Time passed and still she remained motionless. The wind picked up and died back down. The sun crept slowly up the dome of the sky. Nothing moved. Everything was silent. Eyes snapping to a small mound of earth underneath a thorn bush, the mole had finally made it's appearence. The animal was careful in it's movements, its little nose smelling the air for a long time before it dared to come out from under the bush. All the while, Mist's eyes remained fixed on the shape and her muscles prepared for the pounce she knew she'd land if the animal came into the open. Her patience was rewarded. As the mole skittered into the open, Mist rushed out from where she'd been waiting and landed squarely on the fast-moving animal, killing it in one swift bite. The mole had had no chance. Looking into the sky, she was surprised to see the sun had already arrived at it's highest point. It was time to head back to meet Storm. Lightning (with Pebble, training) 🐦silvermoon2🐦 Lightning remained silent as he considered Pebble's suggestion. It would be an easy day at least, he thought to himself as the two made their way towards the training area, and maybe he'd be able to spend the afternoon lounging around after all if all they were doing was going through old techniques. Not really in the mood for another long day, Lightning mewed his assent, 'Sounds good to me!' he replied with a tone of voice more commanding than it probably should have been for a To-be recieving instruction from his mentor.

Rock that hits the ground (open, in camp)
The tired cave-guard woke up, a thing he learned on his endless moons of training is to recharge his energy fast. The gray cat yawned, showing his big mouth and teeths, something that helps him to bite his enemies with ease. Shaking his pelt he left the den and selected a prey from the pile. Maybe a hawk? The tom was hungry, this prey should fullfill it. So, he picked the hawk and started eating.

Pebble Training, with Lightning blu Pebble gave his apprentice a look of disapproval at his tone, Lightning must learn to be more respectful, he thought. When they reached the area, Pebble meowed' First we will work on some evasion tactics.' 'I will come at you and then you respond with one of the evasion tactics that I have taught you.' He instructed his apprentice.

(( Oh yeah, I hadn't thought about naming the tunnels. I'm def down for suggestions and stuff. Once we get a more clear idea, I can try to update the tribe's map with said locations and tunnels. Heck, if someone wants to scribble some stuff on the map with Mspaint or something, I can officially update it fro mthat reference later too )) Storm • Tom • HunterLocation: Hunting with Mistblu As Mist vanished from view, Storm took pace in the opposite direction, quiet but quick as he made his way over the soft ground. He slowed some distance off before beginning his own hunt, breathing deeply in search of, well, anything really. He was met with the crisp but warming fresh air that was not often felt inside the Karst, but more importantly the scent of a wayward mouse. Unimpressive, but a far cry from eating beetles and snails which although food, didn't quite go down the same as warm bodied prey. If it were later in the evening, he might have waited to see if an Owl might have caught it first, a proper twp for one, though he reconsidered the wisdom in trying to take an owl down on his own. That kind of hunting was generally reserved for hunting parties with a cave-guard among them. Nevertheless, once he'd detected it's location, he crouched down and went through the motions instilled into him from his youth, slinking forward with precise steps. Eventually he'd leap out and land on the mouse with a swift bite to end its miserable existence, though he found himself rather disappointed with its small size.
By the time the sun had risen overhead, Storm felt all the more disappointed with his hunting trip, though hardly unexpected with a dwindling patience for the task at hand. Newleaf was upon them, but he was eager to dismiss his unsuccessful hunt as prey having not fully awoken to the coming warmth following the winter season. Collecting his meager offerings, he began the trip back to the meeting place Mist had designated.

Flight of the Black-Winged Beetle Returning to Camp, Heading to Stoneteller's Den With Mountain, Little meow meow Flight sighed and her tail drooped a little closer to the ground. She still didn't quite believe she deserved 'repercussions', as Mountain had said. She understood a little better now why Mountain was upset, and where a different set of actions from her would have perhaps produced better results, but in her mind, it wasn't necessarily a wrong decision to delay, just a different one. She was sure Stoneteller would understand... Wouldn't he? Flight glanced over at the large tom as he entered camp with her, and was struck once more with the realization that one day she would have to lead cats like him. Cats so different than herself. Flight was never one to dwell on her rank as heir- to her, it was a neutral point, neither something to brag about or have undue anxiety over. It's all she had known from birth, and she had just accepted it in that same black and white way that she viewed the world. Her sibling Lightning had his own path, she had hers, and it didn't make her better or worse... it just was. But occasionally, in small stolen moments like this one, Flight was reminded that her future job would not necessarily be an easy one. She made her way through the camp slowly, not eager to reach Stoneteller's den, and noticed as the two kits Bramble and Shift bumbled outside the nursery with Sun, the kits being two small copies of Mountain himself. Shift let out a squeak of surprise as he watched her brother climb the small rock pile. Not the be outdone, he abandoned his own pebble and scrambled up onto the same pile, taking no note of whether or not he was unbalancing his own brother. "Scoot over!" He mrrowed, shoving his way to try to claim the highest part of the small rock pile.. At that point, Shift caught sight of his father Mountain from the corner of his eyes as he entered camp with Flight. His little breath caught in his throat with excitement, and he scrambled up onto his hind paws, batting his front paws in the air, hoping to look large enough to catch Mountain's attention. "Look, Bramble, look at me! I'm fighting like a Cave-Guard!" He boasted, moreso for his father's benefit than his brother's. Perhaps it was his mother's indifference as she scuttled down into the tunnels causing a fear of rejection, but Shift felt unwilling to call out to Mountain personally. He stumbled slightly, dropping once more onto all fours, before quickly putting his paws up in the air again, swatting imaginary enemies in front of him.

((Ohh, just now I saw that Swift's name is Shift! Forgive me!))
Sun that sets behind the mountain ( with Shift and Bramble, in cave clearing)
The prey-hunter shouted: "Shift! What I've said? Not too far of the nursery!" The molly breathed, she was going to send the little furballs in the den again. Now, Sun has to hear all the scolding of the kits' father, Mountain. Sun made Rock ignore him once, imagine if she goes on another confusion..

Lichen that Creeps Across Cave Walls Galeclan Territory, Outside the Tunnels With Wind, blu Wind seemed to be remembering her training well, a thought that pleased Lichen, but Lichen didn't dwell. They had a mission- she had been out of commission so long, who knew what all had happened in her absence? She scanned around her quickly, her eyes locking on tall grasses off to the side. With another quick sniff and glance around, she slunk quickly towards the grass, keeping with the curvature of the rolling hills to help hide her form. The brown of her coat worked well in Mossclan, but when not in shadow her coat would be easier to detect on the moorlands. She was more confident now that Wind would keep her pace and non-verbal directions, but she still glanced back at her to-be from time to time. The smell hit her first- Galeclan. But not the generalized scent that ran over all this part of the territory. Fresh, warm, and overwhelmed by the smell of... blood? Eyes wide, Lichen flicked her tail sharply towards her, motioning for Wind to stay close. She lowered herself even more into the tall grass and began to move towards the scent warily.
(Hello Little meow meow ! Looking for guidance once more. Okay, so I read up on the OOC page, and it looks like the original plan was for the tribe to be aware of the rogue group. Is that still what you'd like? Should we RP from the perspective of Wind and Lichen coming up upon the battle before it's actually finished, or just that they see the aftermath and report that? Or none of the above? And how much info, if any, do they have about this group? Lol Oh, and do we need to actually post this on the border page? Just thought about that, but not sure if that would be confusing or not, esp with the time jump.
Also blu, I am having a blast RPing these two, even though I have no idea what I'm doing lol. Espionage is fun and I love their dynamic haha )
