Peak♂ Seeing that this was like to take more than a few moments, the old cat sat down looking thoughtful as he considered Sun's concerns carefully. It wasn't something he could simply brush off regardless of how he viewed things, after all, he was an old cat and had grown comfortable with the way of things. Too comfortable perhaps. The tribe always had the more common habit of sustaining it's population which made the prey they caught more than enough, but that didn't offer much in terms of actively growing beyond what it was and though there was plenty of prey in the territroy they still claimed as their own, without a plentitude of Prey-hunters to make use of it, well... they didn't have the prey to actively increase either. It wasn't something he'd often thought of in lue of the comfort of consistency, but he wasn't one to shut down the sensibilities of the younger generations.
"You speak with wisdom, Sun. Although the tribe has always remained consistant and stable, it is not unwise to doubt this sustainability may fail us one day." he spoke thoughtfully, glancing off into the stoney caverns with a distant gaze that did not betray his thoughts, though the signs of their ancestors had drawn concern. If the tribe was meant to aid in a greater conflict, would they have enough Strength and numbers to fight for them? "It is something I will give thought to, though I hope your patience can last a time longer. Overzealousness could cripple our tribe long before we die out naturally." he added, seeming to return to the present with a softened expression, glancing back to Sun before continuing, "But know that Stoneteller hears your concerns and will give them due justice."

Sun (in camp, open)
"Okay." Sun meowed, understanding how Stoneteller was thoughtful about this topic. The prey-hunter padded near the middle of the clearing, hoping to start a conversation with someone else.

Peak♂ Being the Stoneteller was far from the easiest job but it was the small satisfactions that kept the old cat going. Thus, Peak was pleased well and good enough that his words had brought the much younger cat some relief that he would do everything in his power to handle the current way the tribe was functioning. Even so, it was no easy task. They simply couldn't spawn new cats out of thin air and what kits were born would still take time to raise.
As Sun departed, he collected his fish once more and vanished into his den, hunger clawing quite ferciously at his stomach now. However, even as he settled down for his meal, the worries of the tribes future now lingered on his mind as his eyes gazed with further worry at the emptiness of the den. He'd only named a single Heir in his lifetime, and the eager cat had left quite some time ago, just before dawn if he recalled. He couldn't help but wonder what was keeping him..

Mist (with Storm, camp) Little meow meow Mist turned her head in surprise at the sound of Storm's voice - she had been so lost in thought, watching the other cats milling around, that she hadn't seen him coming. Briefly confused by his accusation, she quickly realised that he was joking and let out a purr as he dropped to his side. 'Well, some of us like to rise at a sensible time' she teased gently, giving his ear an affectionate lick and then pressing her cheek against his. Her mate always knew how to lighten the mood, bringing her out of her worries and into a more positive mood. At the sound of Peak's voice from across camp, the she-cats ears pricked up again. Although far away, their leader's voice easily carried - a trait that years of speaking with starclan did tend to endow - and she perked up in interest. It seemed he was speaking with the young she-cat Sun, who'd made quite the reputation for herself as a rather direct and brash cat. Mist herself didn't have a very high opinion of her. As far as she could work out, it seemed they were talking about the future of the clan. Watching as the two cats parted ways again, Mist narrowed her eyes in thought. It was true that the tribe was vulnerable at the moment, but whether that was Sun's position to point out in such a public setting was debatable. At any rate, she knew that her own thoughts had started to turn towards the possibility of kits, but she wasn't absolutely sure if she was ready yet... Turning back to her mate, she gave him another lick. 'Any plans for today?' she asked him, putting any worries out of her mind again. ( Shadowfire hope you don't mind I said that Mist doesn't like Sun - I feel like their personalities would clash but you can do whatever you want from Sun's side ) Lightning (with Pebble, camp) 🐦silvermoon2🐦 Lightning turned his gaze to his mentor. His legs still ached from yesterday's training, and here they were going out again! 'I haven't even eaten anything yet!' he mewed indignantly after Pebble, who'd already started on his way out the cave. The young Tom had been a to-be for 2 moons already, and so had no second thoughts about speaking back to his mentor, although he probably should have.

Storm♂ Location; Tribe Camp With Mist
blu Stormseemed a little too proud of himself at the response from his dearest mate, a glimmer of mischief clear in his vibrant gaze. As their cheeks met, he nuzzled against Mist with an affectionate purr before verbalizing a response with playfulness, "Someone needs to sleep in to make everyone else look that much better!" he teased before adding, "Although, as stunning as you are, you surely don't need the help." With his dramatic shenanigans out of the way, he followed Mist's gaze with his own eyes, a bit curious as it landed upon the forms of the stoneteller, peak, and the young Sun.
He didn't particularly share Mist's disdain for the young hunter, though it would surely have been stranger if he had. After all, Storm was not only a social butterfly, but his adabtibility extended beyond his duties alone and he found it fairly easy to engage with his tribesmates regardless of disposition, or at least work with them. Granted, there was certainly no chance he'd have confronted the stoneteller about a matter that so highly outranked Storm's station, but that was none of his business. He hardly knew how one could even encourage a population boom and any thoughts based on logic only flustered him to even consider. He was more than happy to just let cats greater than him deal with that while he worried about things more near and dear to his heart; Mist, and everything that came with her.
Having rolled upright by now, a smile resting on his face, Storm was certainly enjoying the attention from his mate. "Lil' ol me? Nothing yet, though I figured I'd go hunting if nothing else came up. Did you have any plans? Maybe something I could weasel into joining like a naughty To-be fresh off kithood." He responded as light-hearted as ever.

Mist (with Storm, camp) Little meow meow Mist rolled her eyes at Storm's jokes, 'you always say things in the most absurd way' she laughed happily, giving him a playful swipe with her paw before suddenly looking around with mock suspicion. 'Well,' she whispered, 'if you're looking for some To-be fun, we could race up onto the mountain peak. I've never lost a race you know.' she declared airily, knowing full well that Storm had always managed to beat her in a race.

Storm♂ Location; Tribe Camp With Mist
blu The calico tom drew back from the swipe with a laugh, his following words a mix of amusement and affection for the she cat, "And yet as absurd as it is, you were charmed by all this nonsense of mine, hm?" Storm hardly believed a cat could be luckier than himself in that regard, the bias of one who did not believe he could find such happiness with another cat for sure, though he wouldn't let such thoughts downplay how very highly he regarded Mist. All too happy to encourage this little game of troublemaking to-be's, Storm crouched suspiciously close as he heard out the she-cat, mock shock on his face as if taken back by her 'naughty plans'. "I think that sounds delightfully mischievous! Oh, but you'll have to give these poor short legs a headstart. After all, how could I ever match one as fast as yourself..!?" His words were dramatic, although he did seem interested in what one might have thought a childish use of their time, the tom propping himself up on his hind legs as if to show how tragically small his front legs were despite a length that put most of their tribemates to shame.

Mist (with Storm, camp) Little meow meowMist gazed up at the tom as he sat back on his hind legs. 'No chance,' she laughed, scrunching up her nose, 'play by the rules or don't play at all!' There was no way she was going to give him a head start, lest his ego get blown up even more... The dark grey she-cat got to her paws and cast a glance around the cave and onto the fresh-kill pile, which was looking a bit depleted after the tribe had had its morning meal. 'And while we're out there we may as well catch something to bring back.' she mewed more calmly to Storm, her poised personality returning briefly as she contemplated more serious business.

Storm • Tom • HunterLocation: Leaving Camp with Mistblu Storm put on a face of mock hurt, as if so truly devastated by her cruelty, though all an act for sure, "Oh how cruel, no mercy for poor little Storm..!" he exclaimed but dropped back onto his paws nevertheless. He did let his jokes subside once more as he heard out the she-cat, shooting the caught-prey pile a glance with silent understanding. They likely didn't suffer as harshly as the clan cats when it came to the time of frozen rivers, the mountain prey tending to be more prone to vanishing than anything within the Karst, but there was no doubt hunting grew more tiresome and the better prey less. "Probably not a bad idea, Seems between everyone this morning, early hunting has almost been completely gobbled up." he added, not at all mentioning that he hadn't gotten the chance to eat, but he was more prone to eating after a good hunt regardless. Got the appetite going as he would insist.
However, after saying his piece, a mischevous glint flashed in his eyes, "but for now..." He paused with deliberance following those words, before suddenly darting forward in a sprint out of the camp, his slender for easily squeezing through the camp's opening and out into the cave system. A naughty little trick but the morning bird caught the worm as they said. Mountain • Tom • Cave-Guard Location: Guarding Camp, Open
All the while this was happening, Mountain had remained seated in silence just outside the tribe's camp, taken briefly off guard by flash of color shooting out of the camp just to the side of him. A low, barely audible, growl of annoyance rumbled in his chest as his fur ruffled, though it was only a moment before it lay still once more amd he fell silent as well.
Perhaps he couldn't be too hard on his clanmates, it wasn't necessarily a bad thing to have that kind of energy, he only hoped they'd make good use of it and ultimately not make a nuisance of themselves in the process.
Fern • She-cat • Prey-Hunter Location: The Stoneteller's Den with Peak With her own meal completed, Fern slid effortlessly from her position upon the cool stone, landing neatly on the ground below. Recalling that the Stoneteller had wish a moment of her time, she padded towards his den and disappeared inside with a greeting to the old cat, though he voice would fall low enough to be unheard from outside.
She knew she'd need to make another hunting trip later herself, but it would have to wait until she had concluded things here. Even so, she hoped what she'd been called for wasn't something of the more negative variety. Their missing heir had not gone unnoticed, after all.

Mist (leaving camp with Storm) Little meow meow'Hey!' Mist exclaimed as Storm flashed by her, startled by the sudden action and unprepared for the chase. She cast a slightly embarressed look around the cave, disliking that she had so openly called out to the Tom, before quickly getting to her paws and chasing after him. She may not be as fast as he was, but she was in no way a slow runner. Slipping through the cave entrance, she emerged into the open and looked around for Storm. The wind was only mild in this area of the Karst and so she quickly caught the scent of her mate and streamed after him along one of the smaller paths up the mountain. Careful not to slip on any loose rocks, she rounded a corner and caught sight of her mate several fox-lengths ahead. Mist put on new burst of speed and tried her best to catch up.

Flight of the Black-Winged Beetle -- Exiting the Tribe Camp -- With Mountain, Little meow meow
The dark mottled shape of Flight marched confidently out from the entrance of the Tribe's camp, her hazel eyes squinting as she attempted to adjust to the rapidly increasing light. Her tail was pointing straight up to the sky happily, bouncing along as she walked. The tribe had seemed peaceful this morning, which meant Flight had plenty of time to herself to think. Unfortunately, that meant she had time to wonder things, and wondering things meant she had to figure out the answer- simple as that. So with a quest in mind, she had headed out of camp into the surrounding mountain base. So lost in her thoughts, she did not notice the intimidatingly large form of Mountain guarding the camp as she passed him. She wouldn't have been opposed to asking her brother, Lightning, to tag along, but she hadn't seen him yet that day, and that was the way with Flight- out of sight was very often out of mind.

Pebble(with Lightning, heading out of camp) Pebble felt a flash of annoyance at his apprentice's outspokenness, and was about to deliver a stinging rebuke. But he recalled what it had been like when he was an apprentice, which had been not too long ago and softened towards the young tom. ( bluewonder Flight has my entire heart I love her so much) Lightning (with Pebble, heading out of camp) 🐦silvermoon2🐦 Lightning glanced at the meagre fresh-kill pile and then flashed his mentor a look that said he'd do as he was told, but that he definitly wasn't happy about it. 'Fine I guess,' he drawled out, padding after Pebble with heavy steps. As they headed towards the entrance to the cave, Lightning spotted Flight slipping outside and wondered what she was up to. She was always off in her own world and he hoped she had the sense at least to stay safe. The young tom turned his attention back to his mentor. 'What are we doing today?' he asked, skipping forwards to fall into step beside the larger cat, 'same as yesterday?' He hoped not, his legs had taken a real beating from their training the day before, but he wasn't going to let on he was hurting to his mentor.

Storm • Tom • HunterLocation: Mountains with Mistblu Amusement caught in the slender -limbed Tom's chest as he heard the call of his dearest mate behind him, almost envisioning her face bearing the clear embarrassment he knew she was probably feeling. After all, to bring such silliness out of the ever serious prey-hunter and so obviously at that, why, Storm was quite proud of that ability above all others. Despite shooting ahead early on, he slowed a bit when out of sight, glancing over his shoulder once in a while to see if Mist had caught up. He hardly would look down on the she-cat to such a degree to just let her win but he had cheated a bit, though all in playfulness. It wasn't as if she wasn't respectably fast herself and, if anything, he respected the fact she could catch up with him at all -- and despite that, he knew she was far better at the actual act of hunting than himself. Just running was never enough in that regard.
Eventually the mountain peak would come into view, signaling the very last stretch of mountain path and Mist's last chance to get ahead of the Dilute Calico, though by now he was starting to run out of sprinting steam, and he couldn't help but wonder if Mist had paced herself better.
Mountain • Tom • Cave-GuardLocation: Tribe Camp with Flightbluewonder Glancing down at the young apprentice exitting camp, Mountain's brow rose, choosing to take advantage of the fact she didn't seem be paying attention by speaking in his low and often threatening sounding voice with little warning. "And where are you off to, Flight?" He inquired, a certain menace to his tone, though played up a bit more than he usually would have had it. Regardless, he stepped down from the large stone he'd been perched atop to round in front of the little Heir.
By all means, Heirs outranked him, but only once they'd reached maturity which Flight had yet to do and it was hardly safe for a newly appointed to-be of any rank to be wandering off alone. "I don't suppose you've let anyone know where you're off to this morning, hm?" He added, his tone accusatory but not nearly as harsh has he might have regarded a misbehaving adult.

(Ohmygoodness thank you so much I am honored!!! :') I'm taking the liberty of assuming Bramble is in the nursery LMM, hope you don't mind! ) Lichen that Creeps Across Cave Walls -- Nursery Entrance -- With Shift ; and Bramble, Little meow meow
Lichen sat at the stalagmites that framed the nursery entrance, her long brown tail tucked neatly around her paws. Her large eyes were staring hungrily across the camp where, from this angle, she could just see as cats began to file out of camp, off to their various daily adventures. To-bes with their mentors, mates running out together, Flight doing... whatever she was doing. She couldn't help but feel envy. For the second time, she had wound up expecting kits- She was older this time, and this litter had been larger than the last one. Both only by marginal differences, but still, any amount felt like too much. Not that she didn't love her bundles of fur. She did. How couldn't she? She carried them, and they bore her and Mountain's blood. But pregnancy and kit-rearing was just such a long process. Her paws itched to be back in the deep parts of the tunnels, bringing her tribe vital information. What were they missing without her out on the frontlines? It was almost as if she could feel her skills ebbing away with each passing day in the nursery. She continued staring out at the camp entrance, imagining what her day would look like were she to go out among the others, oblivious to her kits in their nest somewhere behind her.
Shifting Ground from Tunnels Below -- In Nursery -- With Lichen ; and Bramble, Little meow meow
Shift crawled along the nursery floor, doing his best impression of a hunting stance. His eyes were trained on what looked to be a particularly fluffy and dark caterpillar darting across the cave ground. With a wriggle of his hindquarters he pounced, landing just short of the caterpillar but reaching out quickly to correct his grab. He snagged it between two tiny claw laden kit-paws and pulled, trying to bring it closer to him. In truth, he knew it wasn't actually a caterpillar, but his brother's tail. The resemblance was just too much to pass up though, and he let out a triumphant yowl.

Flight of the Black-Winged Beetle -- Exiting Camp -- With Mountain, Little meow meow
Flight gave a small hop of surprise at the very large Cave-Guards intimidating question, giving a kit-like ruffle to her tortoiseshell fur. Beyond that, though, the surprise was short-lived, melting away in seconds as she made unabashed eye contact with him. As aloof as ever, the gruff tone was mostly lost on Flight, and instead she regarded him with the same level-headedness as one would if meeting up with a friend for a bite of freshkill. "You're right, I didn't." She answered him cheerily in a matter-of-fact way. There was no sarcasm to her tone, just black and white truth. He asked, she answered. She nodded quickly, a little farewell bob of her head, as she answered his original question. "I'm going to figure something out. Bye!" She stepped to the side, her tail flicking up once more, as she prepared to walk around the tomcat and back onto her path.

Wind (camp, with Lichen) bluewonder With the tribe shaking off the morning's last remaining tendrils of sleep, Wind watched as cats mingled about and started preparing for the day ahead. It had been a moon since she'd had any real training, and the she-cat was itching to get out of camp again and to continue her training as a whisper-seeker. Flitting amongst the underground passages and listening for news from the clan was one of the few times she felt at peace, and finding information always gave her a sense of importance - no matter how small the news. Looking towards the nursery, she could just make out the tiny shapes of Bramble and Shift inside and gave a small smile. Those two were getting stronger and more mischiveious every day, and she had spent many mornings recently joining in on their games, albeit when Lichen wasn't around to watch her with judging eyes. Giving a small groan, she prepared herself to head over to her mother and ask about her tasks for the day. She'd had enough of collecting moss and doing battle and hunting practice with the other apprentices, and hoped she'd have a job today that more fittingly matched her role - although she wasn't too optimistic that Lichen would let her explore the tunnels on her own. 'Morning Lichen' she mewed as she approached the she-cat to whom she looked almost identical. 'What can I do today?' Mist (with Storm, mountain peak) Little meow meowLooking up ahead of her, Mist could see her mate slowing down as the steady incline of the path started to get to him. The she-cat was also starting to struggle, as despite her burst of speed lower down the mountain, Storm had managed to draw ahead of her again with his longer strides. The peak was just a few yards ahead of them now, and the path gave way on one side to a sheer drop into the Karst below. Mist had never had a problem with the height, and so long as she and Storm kept a fair distance away from the edge she had no worry of either of them falling. In the final streth now, she considered distracting the tom ahead of her by calling out a danger, but with Storm glancing back at that exact moment she missed her chance. 'I'll get you!' she gasped, hoping that Storm could hear her against the growing rush of wind.

Mountain • Tom • Cave-GuardLocation: Tribe Camp with Flightbluewonder Ah, Right. Flight was far from the usual To-be and whatnot, this thought earning a grunt of only minor agitation as the young Heir seemed to completely miss the intent behind his words. With a heavy sigh, he lifted his paw to block the young tortoiseshell from her departure, realizing he'd have to be more direct. "Flight, either you make sure the Stoneteller is okay with you leaving on one of your little misadventures, or I'll drag you back inside myself." Mountain explained, briefly returning the Sun's nod as she departed amidst his conversation with the heir, "I'll not to be the one to tell him that his little apprentice wandered off to who knows where and got eaten by an eagle because she acted with not the smallest amount of caution."
Although he didn't necessarily dislike the young cat by any means, he was one of many who thought she was perhaps an odd choice and though it wasn't necessarily forbidden for a To-be to leave the camp alone, but it wasn't acceptable for one to leave without at least mentioning where they were going to someone either. And moreso, Stoneteller himself hardly left his den without purpose. What were they to do if this little scrap became stoneteller? Perhaps that was thinking too far ahead, though, as he could at least hope she'd mellow out by then.
Storm • Tom • HunterLocation: Mountain Peak with Mistblu Laughter escaped the speedy tom at her words as he continued ahead, though careful to to go TOO close to steep decline in the process. Regardless, as he made it to the peak that would end their race, his steps slowed as he came to a stop, turning in a curved motion to watch as Mist caught up with him. "Oh how terrible, I cheated and therefore have been disqualified! Mist wins again!" he announced dramatically, though the playfulness was ever evident in his tone. However, one those words escaped him, he took a deep breath, the winded nature of such a run hitting him like a twoleg monster.
"Phew, get any faster and that'll be the end for me, though." Storm finally added, now more sincere in his words, as he leaned down to stretch his now warmed up limbs. A bit of a trial by fire warm up but a warmup no less. The sun beat down warmly on his fur and he couldn't mask the purr of delight that rumbled in his throat. After all, it wasn't every day they were able to get out AND enjoy a sunny day on top of it. "Looks like the time of freed water is near." he added, gazing over the view from their current position. As nice as that was from a survival standpoint, it did mean clan cats from the west would seen be all over the western mountains soon enough and although it didn't tend to be a concern for the tribe cats, it was worth keeping in mind. Bramble • Tom • KitLocation: Nursery with Shift & Lichenbluewonder With the vicious tug of his tail from a creature of untold strength and ferocity, the fluffy little form of Bramble let an exaggerated cry escape him, tugging his tail away and whipping around to regard his brother with a little kitten pout and bright narrowed eyes. "That's mine..!" he exclaimed possessively of his little fluffy appendage that now lashed behind him with all the threatening behavior that something barely the size of a fish could muster.
He followed up these words by shoving his head forward in an attempt to butt his sibling over with the force of his weight behind that little noggin' of his and, given they're similar sizes, it wasn't an attempt wholly without merit, though he was hardly concerned in how possible the act was. Forward thinking was neither something he cared to do at the time, nor was it something the kit was prone to anyways.

(Oop, you just happened upon the exact thing I had in mind for Flight's adventure out! Also I can't get over how cute Bramble's little picture is :3 ) Flight of the Black-Winged Beetle -- Exiting Camp -- With Mountain, Little meow meow
Flight cocked her head to the side, puzzled, for once. It seemed some of Mountain's words had landed on her, but surprisingly, or perhaps unsurprisingly, it was just the latter half that seemed to resonate. "The eagle wouldn't eat me." She protested. She sounded a little bit as though she was personally offended. "And I am cautious. I always stay far enough away, and I always hide under one of the outcroppings of rock in the nearby mountain. It can't eat me if it can't grab me from above." She tried to sidestep the tom once more, but being unable to get around him, she let out a little frustrated puff of air. She realized she had to address his earlier statement as well. "I need to check it before I tell Stoneteller. I won't know what to tell him if I don't." She looked up at him with bright eyes. "If you're concerned, you're welcome to come with me. It's not far." To her, her words weren't cryptic at all. She didn't seem to realize that the cave-guard might be missing some pieces of information. Still, she looked at him with hope, silently willing him to agree to go with her.
Shifting Ground from Tunnels Below -- In Nursery -- With Lichen ; and Bramble, Little meow meow
Shift allowed the weight of his brother's headbutt to let him fall to the ground dramatically- not because he wanted to allow his sibling the victory, but moreso to give him a small reason to let the playfight continue. "I know it is, but I caught it!" he boasted from his position on the ground. He quickly scrambled to his paws and jumped towards Bramble once more, landing on top of him and grabbing him by the scruff with his teeth. "Now I caught you!" He mumbled through a mouth of fur.
Lichen that Creeps Across Cave Walls -- Nursery Entrance -- With Shift ; and Bramble, Little meow meow ; and Wind, blu
Lichen tensed, hearing herself called out of her thoughts. She watched as her daughter approached, a carbon-copy of herself. For a moment, she felt confused by the question. What could she do? Oh. Wind's training, of course. With her second pregnancy, training the young whisper-seeker was a confused blur. "Right... maybe... If I find someone to watch these two..." She glanced back at her younger kits. "I could show you which tunnels lead to Mossclan territory..." She started, then winced, remembering. "Wait... we already did that, didn't we?" Ordinarily training a to-be would be a job she would take much more seriously and be far more organized for, but kitting had changed her plans. She could hardly keep up with what she had already shown her and what she hadn't. She realized she had taken Wind down those tunnels more than a moon ago. She shook her head. "No matter. The tunnels could still do with a review, see if there is anything new to report." She glanced around, seeing if anyone would be willing to watch her other kits. She would love a chance to stretch her legs.

(OOOO idea! With the patrol in Galeclan setting out, and with Wind/Lichen going into the tunnels, maybe they can overhear some juicy gossip about the disagreement?) Wind (with Lichen, nursery entrance) bluewonder Wind tried not to roll her eyes at her mother's implication that she'd never seen the Mossclan tunnels before. The young cat had been a To-be for four moons now, and had been down almost every passage in the territory - save for some of the more dangerous ones prone to flooding or collapsing. It's true that her map of the undergrown labyrinth had become foggier during their training hiatus, but she was pretty confident that she could still remember the main routes, her memory strengthened by a nightly practice of running through the tunnels in her mind. 'We've been down all of the main tunnels.' she reminded her mentor with a strategically respectful tone, 'aside from the deep ones that you've told me lead closest to the Galeclan camp.' Those were the ones most prone to flooding, and the heavy rains during the Time of Frozen Water had closed them off for a long time now. Mist (with Storm, mountain peak) Little meow meow Finally catching up to the Tom, Mist could barely get enough breath to let out a laugh. She was getting older, that was for sure. She no longer had the endurance of a young To-be, but what she'd lost in speed she'd gained in skill, and so she wasn't too concerned about it. 'Oh, don't let me win on a technicality!' she managed to choke out between gasps, 'I'll throw you off the side of that cliff if you start going easy on me.' Although she was generally the type to take another cat's skill as a sign of her own failure, she had shared so much with her mate that she no longer felt intimidated by his skills, knowing she had skills of her own and that the two of them complimented each other. 'Oh, you're basically fresh out the apprentice den with those legs of yours' she joked, 'I don't see you slowing down any time soon.'
As Storm gazed over the landscape, the she-cat turned her face into the wind, relishing the strong breeze that brought with it the sweet scents of heather and grass. Her mate was right, she could smell the promise of fresh growth that signified the turn of the seasons. She gave a smile.

(( I'd be fine with that I actually need to start some plot stuff here related to the Galeclan Patrol due to the "strange cat" with the "odd earthy scent", just trying to pace things and not overload everyone lol The whisper seekers will also be listening in on the gathering when that happens btw hehehe, though we can probably just imply the involvement since they can't really react to the clan cats without blowing their cover LOL))

(Love it, blu! And yeah, so the whisperseeker role is obv new to me, so everyone pls feel free to correct or give advice when needed lol ) Lichen that Creeps Across Cave Walls -- Nursery Entrance -- With Shift ; and Bramble, Little meow meow ; and Wind, blu
"I knew that." Lichen all but snapped. Of course, she had actually forgotten, as Wind had correctly intuited, but she felt a flame of embarrassment for having done so. The she cat was normally so calculating and level-headed. Another reason why kitting was such an inconvenience. "...But I suppose you're right." She said to Wind. "Perhaps it's time I show you the deep Galeclan tunnels." She flicked her eyes back to her rambunctious kits, wishing it was socially acceptable to leave them on their own for a few hours. Surely the kits wouldn't get into too much if they did? She shook the thought from her mind. Obviously, that was foolish.
(Looking for someone to watch the kits, lol. Shadowfire , would Sun or Rock be open to watch them? )

Mountain • Tom • Cave-GuardLocation: Outside Camp with Flightbluewonder Another audible sight escaped the massive tabby as his eyes rolled up to the ceiling in an unconscious gesture of annoyance, certainly not even humoring her belligerence in that regard. He could scold a cat a hundred times on how unpredicatable the mountains could be but he could not force them to understand, Flight was one such cat that he was not about to waste his time trying to argue her a better understanding of the dangers. His large size di give him the benefit of being a fairly successful wall, however, and there was a small flicker of amusement to be gained from the young cat's frustrations at being unable to get around him easily enough to escape.
It was with frustration, however, that he knew the young cat was not willing to bend on whatever she was determined to find out and though he hardly wanted to leave his post, he knew the young cat would just find another way out if he tried to haul her back inside. Weighing his options, Mountain gathered he really didn't have any suitable options, and would have likely ended up having to hunt her down later when others noticed she'd gone missing or something. "You seem fairly certain of whatever it is you need to figure out..." he grumbled as he stared down at the younger cat, expression fairly unreadable as he put on something of a performance of thinking whether to accept her terms or not but ultimately nodded half-heartedly. "Fine, I'll accompany you -- Stoneteller will probably want to know whatever is so important to you anyways. If we're gone too long, though, I'll drag you kicking and howling right back to camp." he relented, doubting any threats to the tribe would sneak past in his absence -- there were few enough as it were, let alone ones small enough to squeeze through the camp's entrance. "Although, it would be kind of you to at least humor me with some idea what it is we're checking on the first place..." Nevertheless, he was up on his paws and reluctantly prepared to head out with the young heir.
Storm • Tom • HunterLocation: Mountain Peak with Mistblu A soft mrrow of laughter escaped the hunter's maw at his mate's comment, knowing well her pride wouldn't let her accept a win on such loose terms, though it was harmless banter for sure. Even so, he was glad he could poke fun at her in such a regard without constantly offending the cat, certainly behaviors and understanding built over many a moon with one another. "That's one way to find out if I can fly." he retorted in jest, "Though I've no wings and less desire to give it a try." Although his legs felt a bit tired after the long run, he was quite satisfied and seemed to have caught his breath, the relief of an endurance that recovered quickly not lost on him. After all, what good was a bunch of speed if he was half dead after zooming up a mountain!? An over dramatic thought, perhaps. "I mean, I am but a young soul, it's only natural! Perhaps I'll never know the life of an old-old cat, oh how retirement will forever elude me!" he exclaimed with that playfully dramatic tone.
Even amongst all his play, though, he couldn't deny there was a comfort in the well-established routine of the seasons. The time of Frozen Rivers may not have been as unbearable as it might have been in other places, but it was nice to be freed from the stale chilly air of the Karst as well as the dangerous ice of the mountains that had melted to traversable levels. Perhaps that was their weakness in the colder times, half their territory was more unsafe to use. It would be nice to hunt in the mountains relatively safely again, though, safe being subjective but at least without the threat of sliding off the mountain into open air. That was one of the more unfortunate ways to go. "So... First one to catch something wins? Winner gets the first pick of the Caught-prey pile?" he added suddenly with a twinkle of mischief towards his mate, though he knew he was a vastly less skilled hunter than the she-cat. Good enough to earn his rank but... well, the mountains were a hunting ground all their own and, well, his figure wasn't the ideal match for rowdier prey.
Bramble • Tom • KitLocation: Nursery with Shift & Lichen; Windblu bluewonder Bramble snorted initially, "It's not yours just because you--" he was cut off as the other kit scrambled up and leapt onto him, a squeaky yowl escaping the young tom in shock as he found himself rather helplessly squished and nabbed by the scruff. "Graaagh..! You... big lug...!" Bramble exclaimed, in a comical mix of a growl and a whine, from under his brother, wildly flailing his paws in a frantic scrambling attempt to escape the larger kit's grasp.
With this all but failing, he'd initially fell limp as if to lower his brother's guard with the intent to pop up and roll away from a stunned kit. Of course, there was a large Margine for error given the young kit's obvious lack of actually knowing what he was doing, but one had to give Bramble credit for trying. Well, they didn't have to but he sure would have liked it. (( Also, Just letting everyone know, Fern and Peak are available, they vibin in the Stoneteller's den -- Just in case anyone is desperate to find someone in camp at some point and no one else is available LOL ))

(I'm really looking forward to creating the whisper-seeker skill set!) (I think Sun was just leaving camp last I saw so you could get Lichen to call her back bluewonder ) Wind (with Lichen, nursery entrance) bluewonder Wind drew back into herself at the outburst of anger from Lichen. She knew the older she-cat had been irritable since she'd had her kits, but it seemed today was an especially bad day. What's biting her tail she grumbled inwardly, bitter that her attempt at civility had been so poorly recieved. Staring at her paws with empty eyes, she waited for her mentor to come to a decision. At the mention of exploring the deeper Galeclan caves her head shot back up. She couldn't tell how many sleepless nights she'd spent dreaming about what secrets lurked in those tunnels - the passages darker than a moonless night and more dangerous than any she'd been in so far. As a young kit, it had been Peak who'd told stories of cats who'd gone into the deep and never returned, lost amongst the labyrinth of winding dead ends and unseen rivers. Wind quivered with excitement. 'Really?' she asked breathlessly, almost believing this was some sort of cruel joke on the part of Lichen. Mist (with Storm, mountain peak) Little meow meow Mist let out a laugh at Storm's joke. She'd always wondered what it would be like to fly - a skill their prey had that she'd often been envious of. Only once had she gotten a taste of it when she'd dropped off the crumbling edge of a small cliff face and landed several fox-lengths below in an icy pool. The memory made her fluff out her coat . She gave her mate a smile at his comment about the retirement. She couldn't always match up to all of Storm's crazy ideas and unending supply of jokes, and so she simply shook her head and continued staring out over the territory. At the Tom's challenge Mist perked up again. 'You're on!' she mewed, mischief dancing in her yellow eyes. 'Let's head down to the south here and set off where the shrub growth begins.' In the Time of Frozen Water, the sun warmed up the south sides of the mountains, and so ice was at its minimum in that direction.

Sun (in camp, open) The prey-hunter forgot what she would do out of camp. Sun let giggles of laughter, she was laughing of herself. The young molly sat near the nursery and looked at the other cats. (( blu don't worry I made her go into camp again now))
