ForestClan ...::::...::::...::::... of peace and serenity ...::::...::::...::::...
About the Clan Located in the temperate zone, ForestClan resides in a luxurious forest composed of birches, chestnuts and maples. Cats of ForestClan come in a variety of pelt colors, while short-furred cats are less likely due to the cold weather in leaf-bare. ForestClan cats are mostly great tree-climbers and stalkers, the most common prey including birds, squirrels, mice and occasionally reptiles. Fish in the creek are considered an option in the coldest days nothing else can be find, provided ice do not get too thick over the supposedly frozen water.
Without any neighboring Clans, ForestClan cats do not have the necessity to patrol the border daily, as they are free to travel as far as they like. To keep an eye of possible threats, ForestClan cats tend to hunt in teams or pairs, always ensuring there is one cat keeping in charge while others focus on hunting. Birds of prey, foxes, weasels and others are all possible threats. The cats tend not to travel beyond the creek alone to ensure safety.
Traditions Every full moon, cats of ForestClan instead hold a grand meeting within the Clan, when most important rituals as a retiring ceremony or a medicine cat’s ceremony will be held. Newly bonded mates may declare their relationship status at the grand meeting to receive blessing from the whole Clan.
(New ideas for ForestClan traditions are welcomed.) Ranking Systems ForestClan has a dual leader system to avoid sole monarchy. Most important decisions would be discussed thoroughly by the leaders before putting to action. Each leader gets to choose one deputy to succeed their place. In situations of conflicts, leaders may seek advice from their deputies and medicine cats.
There may be more than one medicine cat in ForestClan, as the Clan welcome any cat with the will and gift to serve the Clan. However, this cat must have a connection with the ancestors, which will be verified by their first visit to the Silent Cave. The other medicine cats should receive dreams from the ancestors if the successor is a right one.
The TerritoryThe camp: ForestClan camp is based on tree holes. The two leaders share a den in a hole in a tree stump. The deputies sleep with the other Clan members, known as hunters, in a big tree hole from a dead tree. The medicine cats’ den is a natural cave beside a maple. The nursery and the elders’ den were built beside birches with soft fern as the ground and branches as walls.
The creek: A creek about twenty chestnuts-height away from the camp surrounds most of ForestClan’s main territory. This creek is the main water supply of the Clan.
The Clearing: An opening near the creek covered by grass is the popular space for cats to chat and enjoy time there.
The Silent Cave: This is where medicine cats meet their ancestors every half moon. It is sixty chestnuts-height away from the creek. There is a small pool inside the cave.
The tunnel: a tunnel that goes underground that leads to the Silent Cave was found a while ago by naughty kits. The entrance of the tunnel can be found just across the creek. However, medicine cats prefer not to take it in case it collapses.

The Rules To join this roleplay, please follow the mentioned rules:
1. Follow the forum rules.
2. Respect towards others. Though not specified clearly here, bullying or any form of disrespect towards others will not be allowed. This will be a LGBTQ+ friendly roleplay, so please do not join if you cannot accept that.
3. Activity. A minimum activity of at least one post every other week is required. However, considering we all have lives outside the forum, there is room for negotiation for this rule in the future.
4. Literacy. Besides correct grammar, proper usage of punctuation marks is also a minimal requirement. Minor mistakes will be accepted as long as they do not happen constantly. A minimal of 3 sentences per character would be recommended, though not strictly required. I will accept occasional one-liners as long as others may reply to it; however, it should not happen every post.
5. About Joining. I did not create a specific joining page for this forum, so all joining forms should be posted here. A maximum of 6 characters would be allowed per person. Try to keep the genders equal while creating your characters, and please refrain from creating flawless characters. No joining with motherless kits.
6. Have Fun! Drama of all kinds are more than welcome in this roleplay. If you have any new plots or ideas about the Clan, feel free to discuss with me before putting in action. Be sure to inform me in advance if your plan involves the whole Clan, as it would be an unpleasant surprise to find the whole Clan in some disastrous state while I am away.

However, her shortness is as obvious as her advantages: besides being reserved, she is also hesitant to respond to conditions that have never happened before, which might serve as a huge hinder for her to become a successful leader.

Seedsong (in the camp)
Opening her eyes to the dim morning light, Seedsong felt fully awake. The ginger molly was accustomed to rising up in early dawn, when she used to spend time sorting out suitable hunting groups silently before discussing with her partner. However, consider the other deputy went out in a late hunting patrol previously, she may need to organize patrols on her own this morning.
Stretching her legs, Seedsong got to her paws and padded out of the den. She was slightly surprised to find Birchfrost up, who was carrying a bundle of herbs, entering the camp entrance. "Good morning, Birchfrost," she greeted the medicine cat. "Why up so early?"
Birchfrost (in the camp)
Birchfrost is usually not much of an early bird, but an unexplainable urge had woke him up and prompt him to gather his herb stocks way before dawn. Had he been pessimistic, he would tell the Clan that might mean something bad is about to happen, but his past experience had shown that it's probably nothing to worry about.
"Good morning, Seedsong," he replied coolly to the deputy. "Just gathering herbs. Nothing else." He quickly retreated to his den to avoid further conversations.
(I'll leave Fawncloud open for anyone that needs a hunter in the roleplay scene.)

No worries! I was actually thinking of making a leader who was actually nearing the end of her life, and she doesn't wish to step down as leader because she refuses to believe she's incompetent. Maybe she starts seeing things or has weird dreams, leading to a prophecy of sorts? (I like the idea. I'm a little less creative when coming up with those things, so you may fill in the plot as much as you like, and we can sort out the rest with the whole Clan. However, I was starting to think it might be better if we have an independent discussion page. I'll set up the link!) |

Brown mackerel tabby tom with amber eyes. He has a diamond-shaped spot of white on his chest and noticeably large ears. Sparrowpaw is an energetic and optimistic cat, always looking to brighten up someone's day with his contagious smiles. Not always the brightest, but he makes up for it with his go-get-em attitude. Open to any family
Ravenstar | 84 moons | Molly | Bisexual | Leader | shoe
A tortoiseshell molly with bright green eyes. Her coat is mostly black with spots of orange sprinkled throughout. Ravenstar is a good-natured cat, always bearing a calm and welcoming demeanor. She values peace above all, and there have been many times when she had to settle a dispute with a compromise. In her age, Ravenstar has become a bit more forgetful and even whimsical. Open to any family/relationships

Emberflight smiled as he hurried out of the warriors den, shaking some grass from his pelt. As he made his way around, he looked for his apprentice, already thinking of today's lessons
Lakewhisker - Camp
Lakewhisker was returning from an early morning hunt, dropping a few squirrels down in the fresh-kill pile.

Sparrowpaw awoke with a wide, audible yawn, quickly rising to his feet and sprawling out in a stretch to wake his muscles from their long slumber. Upon finishing his stretch, the apprentice darted out of the den where he nearly barreled into his mentor, only missing Emberflight by a whisker-length. Coming to a halt, Sparrowpaw stood up straight and flashed the ginger tom a smile. "Good morning Emberflight!"

Seedsong noted Lakewhisker's catch and nodded approvingly to the hunter. "Nice catch, Lakewhisker," she mewed to the calico molly. She glanced around. Mentors are heading out to give apprentices lessons, and some hunters are still sleeping. Maybe it'd be best she organize a hunting group with herself included, she thought. She turned to Lakewhisker once again. "Are you fit to go hunting in groups again? We'll have to feed the Clan." She cast a glance at the apprentice's den while talking, wondering if her apprentice, Songpaw, is awake; it'd be good opportunity to have the young molly practice her learned hunting skills.

"That would be nice, thank you," Seedsong nodded to Lakewhisker. Her apprentice was nowhere to be seen. The ginger molly instead caught hold of another crossing warrior. "Fawncloud! Would you like to join us?"

Fawncloud rose up in the den, finding half of the nests empty. Oh no, I hope I didn't oversleep, the gray hunter thought to herself before hurrying up to head outside the hunters' den. She was pleased to hear Seedsong's question. "Of course, I'd love to join a hunting patrol anytime, Seedsong!"
