The apprentice gave his mentor a nod, following Emberflight as the two made their exit and began heading towards the clearing. Sparrowpaw had to stop himself from walking too fast, which was a tendency he had when he was very excited. But who was he kidding? The young tom was always excited! But his proclivity to walk to fast combined with an equally bad habit of not watching where he was going was a recipe for disaster. He felt his paws slip from underneath him and soon enough he had tripped and landed flat on the ground.
"Oof! That hurt a bit..." Sparrowpaw groaned as he picked himself back onto his feet. It was nothing too serious, more bruises to his ego than to his physical body.

Sparrowpaw gave a little chuckle, keeping up a good attitude about his slip. "Yeah, that would be embarrassing..." He said, afraid to admit he was already a little embarrassed. But the apprentice's mood picked right back up as they entered the center of the clearing, giving an excited jump. "Alright, I'm ready! Let's fight!"

"Yes sir," He replied, his tail swaying back and forth with anticipation. "And if you need me to stop, let me know." Sparrowpaw gave a grin at his mischievous, though entirely playful statement.

Ravenstar opened her eyes to find herself in the depths of the woods, her surroundings unfamiliar. The forest was cloaked in the darkness of night, which the she-cat found peculiar as she was expecting to wake up to the light of dawn. Rising to her feet with slow strain, Ravenstar took one more look around to identify her location, but to no avail.
A sudden, harsh cry from a large black bird in the tree startled Ravenstar, who looked up to meet its gaze. The raven tilted its head, releasing another caw, beckoning the tortoiseshell leader to follow it as it flew. She had no choice but to trust her instincts and follow, albeit cautiously. Her surroundings were still unknown, and she could not deny she was in no position to defend herself should she encounter a dangerous predator.
Ravenstar followed the flapping of wings and the occasional caw of the bird through the woods, eventually picking up on the sound of running water. Quickening her pace, she found herself sighing in relief as she realized she had arrived at The Creek. Though it did puzzle her still as to why she could not recognize what was supposed to be Forestclan territory.
Going to take a sip from the water, Ravenstar froze when she spotted the corpse of a buck lying across the body of water. It was mostly decayed, rotting to mere bones at this point, but the sight of the cadaver made the leader’s blood freeze. Ravens gathered around the corpse to perch upon the antlers of the skull, their shrieks ear-piercing and cruel, almost resembling mocking laughter.
Ravenstar gave a sharp gasp, opening her eyes to find herself in her nest in the leader’s den. Her breathing had become panting, so she took a moment to recover her breath before rising to a stand, her joints aching at the movement. She exited the den, pleased to discover the light of day shining upon the camp. Ravenstar, exhausted from the poor quality of her sleep, gave a great yawn before making her way over to the medicine cats’ den to see if Birchfrost was available to remedy her fatigue.

Watching Lakewhisker disappearing into the nursery, Seedsong decided to check on her apprentice. "Songpaw, are you awake?" the ginger molly whispered softly in the den to avoid spooking the young apprentice.
Birchfrost (in the medicine cat's den with Ravenstar shoe)
Busy sorting out the herbs gathered in the morning, Birchfrost wasn't expecting any company in such early time of the day. Therefore, he was slightly surprised (if not annoyed) when he noticed pawsteps approaching the den, getting more alert when he figured it was the Clan leader approaching. A little distressed not getting to finish his job right away, Birchfrost still rose to his paws to welcome his leader at the entrance of the den.

Ravenstar was most pleased to find Birchfrost within the den, though he seemed to be busy with his daily tasks. The leader almost a bit sorry for the interruption she was about to create, but it was a matter of utmost importance. "Oh, Birchfrost," She said with a frantic tone, approaching the silver tom. "I am so glad you are here. I have witnessed an unkindness! A conspiracy!" Ravenstar did not provide any explanation for her outburst, as if she expected Birchfrost to already know what she was talking about.

"Lakewhisker is joining us on a hunting patrol," Seedsong explained to her apprentice. "I think it would be great opportunity to check on your hunting skills. I'll wait for you outside." She retreated back to the camp after the words.
Birchfrost (in the medicine cat's den with Ravenstar shoe)
Birchfrost twitched his whiskers when he heard his leader's words. "What happened, Ravenstar?" he mewed, worrying thickening in his tone. He moved aside politely to make room for his leader to enter the den, where they could have privacy. "What did you just see? Is anyone hurt?"
