I get the "theyre cats" thing somehat cause yeah, real cats don't care. But when they are anthropomorphised and act like humans in a lot of other ways it makes it weird and begs the question, where SHOULD the line be drawn? For me that line is, definitely with underage relationships, unless the characters already met as adults or are just older as is. If you take a year or two age gap between apprentice and mentor... Yeah no that's creepy. Even if they get older. (Looking directly at you, Onestar, nasty ass.) If you take a year age gap between like, cats that are already 3 & 4 years old or more it seems fine to me. Basically because the whole first year to year and a half of a cat's life they are in child/teen/young adult stage meanwhile 2+ is Grown Adult. And as for Thornclaw I feel like that was specifically written as a predatory relationship. I don't actually remember Dustpelt that much at all. so is Darkstripe/Tigerstar ship wrong? Tigerstar really had no friends then, he just had his apprentice and the apprentice of his apprentice. |

I just wrote a damn long essay to a friend about how Spottedleaf and Firepaw/ Dustpelt and Fercloud/ Spottedleaf and Thistleclaw are wrong. He was blinded by nostalgia, poor little thing.

Why is no one bringing back LionClan, TigerClan and LeopardClan. When I first read the books I remember thinking Tigerstar, Leopardstar and Lionheart would be leading the three clans, I really expected at least LeopardClan to be reborn with them.

Why is no one bringing back LionClan, TigerClan and LeopardClan. When I first read the books I remember thinking Tigerstar, Leopardstar and Lionheart would be leading the three clans, I really expected at least LeopardClan to be reborn with them. Many traditions have disappeared from the series since TNP. The tellings of the three great ancient Clans, apprentices visiting the moonstone, queens often not disclosing the identity of their mate, etc. :/ Also I'm pretty sure LionClan, TigerClan, and LeopardClan are merely legends and nothing more.  Edit: The ancient Clans have been brought up at least one point since then, sorry. In TNP Graystripe was described as fighting like a... LionClan warrior, I think? |

So a classic case of Flanderization then? I would say yes, I miss the flavour of the world of Warrior cats, clans are just brought back to a single characteristic. The amount of different writers also bring a ton of consistency issues, the first time I really saw it was the with the way Purdy talks, in some books he is shown to have a specific way of talking but in another it's just tossed aside. It's poorly written, we have to admit it. |
