Cassia's expression softened. "Well, believe it or not, I relate to what you just said in my own peculiar way. When I was younger and living with my mother, the only thing I was praised for were my hunting skills," she meowed, sorrow enveloping her voice. "I have something to apologize for too." Hesitation and uncertainty lingered in her eyes. She gathered all her courage and began to speak. "I realized that... the only thing I've been doing is putting you down. I haven't said anything particularly good about you. I don't know what I expected when I already behaved like that. So, for that, I'm sorry." She walked out of the corner beneath the four legged contraption, sitting right where Yoko could see her. "You're forgiven, by the way," she purred.

Yoko // ☾—ivy。˚⊹♪:¨ ·Yoko finally gained the courage as he heard Cassia relating to him. " At least you're skilled Cassia. I have no value skills compared to you. ", Yoko said now looking at Cassia, but he kept the same sad face. " You don't need to apologize Cassia. You were right, and no, you didn't deserve my snarky comments. Believe me, please. ", Yoko meowed as he his tail twitched. The dark sky highlighted the she-cat's dark fur wonderfully and Yoko noticed this. " Thank you regardless, I appreciate it." Yoko blinked before looking down at the ground. " Perhaps I should join that silly clan to learn a thing or two. ", the white tom joked. He stood up and shook his fur before laying back down. The tom grew accustomed to where he was laying,

Cassia frowned, feeling strangely protective of the tom. "Maybe you think so, but I think you have potential. Before you say anything, no, this isn't because I feel bad, but because I think you genuinely do. If you tried, you'd excel at hunting." A sad smile crossed her features. "I'll let you believe what you want, however."
She licked her paw, swiping it over her ear. This time she wasn't as tired and she had the energy to groom her pelt, which had grown slightly dirty from sitting in the corner. She heard the tom's joke; her eyes narrowed at the mention of the word "Clan". "Those Clan cats are despicable," she spat, distaste clear on her face.

They act like pests sure, but they don't seem that bad to me. ", Yoko asked. His tail swished along the ground, dust particles flew in the air.

OSPREYFEATHER With - Bluepool Location - Beach Tag - ☾—ivy。˚⊹♪:¨ · "Hey, Bluepool. What was that growl for?" Ospreyfeather popped his blue-furred head out of a bush off the coast of the Ocean. His pelt was covered with leaves and twigs that he, evidently, had collected from bushes surrounding the long beach. His pure, ocean-blue pelt was littered with orange feathers and the black stripes on his back were blacker than ever, as he had been digging for mud crabs only moments before. He held two of these in his mouth, along with a battered fruit dove. "Are you okay, Bluepool?"

Bluepool with osprey (forgot to tag .-.) Bluepool flinched at the sudden appearance of the tom's voice, turning around to see him. "Oh. It's just you," she mewed. An unclear emotion crossed her face, and she twitched the tip of her tail a couple of times. She disliked being asked how she felt- she always thought somecat would be angry or sad she felt a certain way.
"I'm fine. There's nothing to worry about," she lied, hoping Ospreyfeather wouldn't notice anything off about her. She blinked a couple of times, anxiety filling out her body. Her voice was quite shaky but she hoped no cat would notice. She felt isolated from others, especially since her mother so stubbornly declared she didn't agree with the other counselors.

The calico was saddened by Yoko's lack of confidence. "I don't care what you say, I think you have potential. Even if you try and fail, it'd still be good because you tried."
Cassia flattened her ears as the white loner apologized. "You have nothing to apologize for. You didn't make me mad, I just really don't like Clan cats and you didn't know it."
Hesitance brushed her flank once more, and she looked at the tom with uncertainty lingering deep in her green eyes. She didn't know wether she should tell him or not. She was always hesitant to share how she felt, but this was different.

His ears perked when he noticed the disdain when Cassia talked about the Clan cats. " Say, what did the Clan cats do to make you hold a bad view on them?", Yoko asked. His amber eyes stared at her with deep curiosity. " You don't have to tell me of course.", he added. Yoko didn't want to make the she-cat uncomfortable.

She still hesitated, despite the tom's curious demeanor. He'd probably find her pathetic, she worried, her paws etched with anxiety.
"My father was a Clan cat," she blurted out. "He was absent until I turned about three moons old. He became a loner and joined us. He trained me every day. It was harsh, but it wasn't intolerable..." Her mind clouded with bloodstained pelts, broken claws, early mornings and late nights, scolding and bitter disappointment. Her eyes began to brim with tears, but she quickly blinked them away. "But, I'm fine. I don't care about him anymore," she lied, desperately trying to seem strong and big. She didn't express it, but she wished she made him proud.
If only I could've made him proud...! She didn't mention it, but the only reason the calico tolerated her father was for the praise.

Yoko quickly got up and jumped towards Cassia. The tall tom sat next to him and he whispered, " You don't have to tell me anything anymore, okay? ". He didn't want to make the she-cat sad or frustrated anymore from his antics or questions. He pressed his fur against her. Cassia felt touched by the tom's comforting antics. "Thank you. And, you don't have to apologize," she mewed softly, the warmth of the loner's pelt giving her a great sense of comfort. "There was no way you'd have known. I would have asked too, just like you, and expected that they stole my prey once or something." She wished that she'd never have to move from that very spot. The warmth and comfort another cat's presence gave was immeasurable.
A thought crossed her mind. What if she taught Yoko how to hunt and fight? She was amazing at those two, and she hoped the way she was trained wouldn't reflect itself on Yoko. He was one dainty tom, but she didn't mind. In fact, she wished sometimes that she appeared as careless as he did, and that she had the ability to move on easily just like he does.

Yoko // ☾—ivy。˚⊹♪:¨ ·" I just think they're mean and don't appreciate a cat's looks when they see one.". Yoko chuckled before looking down at Cassia with his dark eyes, eyes full of warmth. " I think they should learn a thing or two from me on how to keep a tick-free coat, unlike their mangy coats! ", joked the loner. The tom brushed his fur softly against her dark fur. A purr grew from his throat, feeling happier than earlier. All the bad feelings went anyway as he was affectionate with Cassia. Love was the best feeling Yoko has ever felt, even if it was temporary, as always. He quickly realized what he was doing and he stopped. Blushing, the tom managed to say," I went too far, I'm sorry.". Yoko never liked being pushy with she-cats at all. He knew Cassia had no interest in him, but he couldn't resist being affectionate with her, it was part of who he is as a cat.

OSPREYFEATHER With - Bluepool Location - Palm Coast Tag - ☾—ivy。˚⊹♪:¨ · Bluepool's distantness sparked Ospreyfeather's curiosity. He genuinely admired the quiet blue molly, and had recently been following her around a bit. Only a bit. Okay, maybe a little more than a bit. It's not my fault, I can't help it, he thought defensively. He had no idea why he wanted to follow Bluepool. It was just... Ospreyfeather didn't quite know how to describe it. That feeling... It had to be more than admiration, right? If only he could explain that strong feeling... It was just magnificent... Ugh, my thoughts wandered away again, he thought. He knew how he looked when he was lost in thought. He would have been standing stock-still and eyes unfocused and dazed. He shook his head to clear his mind. Bluepool The gray she-cat didn't know what to say. She wasn't sure wether or not she should tell Ospreyfeather how she truly felt the past couple of sunrises. If it were some other cat, she would have snapped at them and turned away to leave, leaving them stunned, but this was a hunter she had taken a liking to during the last few moons. She wasn't sure wether she should tell him and trust him with her feelings, or not tell him and act rudely. She decided on the first option.
"Well, I am a bit frustrated," she admitted, a sheepish smile crossing her face. "What's been happening lately isn't exactly in my favor. This whole scandal with the Oracle and his affair and all that... Yeah, not exactly my favorite."

Cassia chuckled. "You're right. Ugh, just the stench of their presence disturbs me!" Cassia felt the HibiscusClan cats spent too much time outdoors and a much less amount of time grooming.
Yoko's act of affection caught the calico off guard. The warm feeling of his pelt against hers was nice. She couldn't say she didn't like it; she missed being affectionate with other cats, and her heart shattered when she heard the tom apologize. "No, don't apologize," she mewed softly, laying her head on his shoulder. She looked up at the loner, a strange feeling of admiration spreading out through her paws. She loved the way his white pelt glistened, and how clean he was, and how nicely his amber eyes contrasted his white fur.
He's really pretty... Wait, Cassia what are you thinking?! You can't fall in love with a tom you just met! He was rude earlier! He's just pretty, she concluded, looking away from Yoko, but still keeping her head on his shoulder.

Yoko // ☾—ivy。˚⊹♪:¨ ·Yoko blushed seeing Cassia do that, it was something the she-cat would probably never do, considering what she said earlier about toms. Yoko was caught so off-guard that the tom didn't know what to say, but to sit and enjoy the silence between them. " Do you think the storm is going to leave by tomorrow?", asked the tom. He looked towards the hole in the wall. The storm was still growing by the minute. His amber eyes then looked back at Cassia. Thunder was heard in the background. Yoko still didn't understand why he was being so affectionate with Cassia, if he'd be leaving after the storm was over. I'm doing this because it's the only thing that determines my survival Cassia. I'm sorry, Yoko said silently in his head as he licked Cassia's ear.

Sunshine ; 'Sunny'
With - [ Ebony ]
Location - [ Lost In HibiscusClan Territory]
Sunshine smiled pleasant as this stranger - or rather - his newfound acquaintance mentioned her desire to find someone. "I hope you find everyone you are looking for..." The wind picked up through the trees and they swayed in a way that brought the tom discomfort. He shifted his paws, clearing his throat before turning his attention to the molly before him. Swiftly, he would like to distract his mind from his current predicament.
"You know... I seem to have time aplenty on my paws. If I could help you find these others, I will. If you require an ear to listen to this long story, I will." He used his broad head to gesture for her to follow as he began stepping in a new direction. "Why don't we find somewhere out of this weather? Maybe we can spot some clues along the way to find these friends of yours."
Rookfall
With - [ Lilypool ; Seabreeze ]
Location - [ Healers Den ]
Yellow eyes sparkling like two full moons, the tom swelled with warmth under the promise of future patrols with the healer. He nodded, smiling fondly to the molly, and opened his maw to respond. It was then, however, that Seabreeze raised issue with an injury she'd gotten along the way. Rookfall gasped quietly at the sight of her bloodied paw, suddenly feeling a mixture of concern for the healer and disappointment in himself. Why hadn't he taken notice? An injury had occurred on the patrol that he manned and he hadn't paid any attention! Stepping back, he shuffled away from Lilypool to allow Seabreeze the full attention of the fellow healer, and he ducked his head in embarrassment and consternation, both.
He merely nodded quickly to Lilypool's sheepish farewell, offering a small smile before he hastily made his escape from the den.
Mouse-brain Rookfall! How can she think you reliable and a worthy scout when someone gets hurt and I'm the last to know about it?! In the camp, the weather was picking up wildly. Droplets of rain splattered on every surface and he shivered uncomfortably as they fell onto his spine and whiskers. Dragging his feet towards the fresh kill pile, he grabbed a plump swallow that was still relatively dry. He would deliver it to Vanillabloom - as he had been making a habit of visiting the white queen often - before he retired to his nest.
~ end scene for rookfall cx ~
Featherfoot
With - [ Wavecrest, Shellsong, Archwhisker ]
Location - [ Beach ]
Although she would not admit this to the tom, Featherfoot had always found it especially amusing to ruffle Wavecrest's meticulously placed feathers. Pinpointing exactly why she felt this way wasn't something the grey molly had every been able to accomplish. Instead, she simply relented to continuing her usual teasing antics towards the tom, sure that one day the answer would reveal itself; surely in an unexpected way. She smirked, the expression hidden as she padded with her side against his, "I'm sure you can walk on your own, I just absolutely wanted to get so close to you," she meowed with a trifling teasing tone. Featherfoot might be, more than anything, renowned for her quips and charms (or perhaps it was her nosy tendencies!). Notably, she never endeavored to be inappropriate - she strove to ensure that her joking mannerisms were clearly just that; jokes.
Reaching sturdier sands, she did not linger by his side, instead maneuvering to stand a pace or two away from him as he confirmed he was just fine. Looking at the tom with pellucid green eyes, she saw the back of his head; his own gaze being lost to the ocean. "It's not trouble to look out for a clanmate - and friend." The teasing sing-song to her tone was no where to be found in the statement. She did consider him a friend, even if he was, for lack of a better word, stand-offish.
She smirked as he looked to her, "Only three heartbeats ago we were both hunting too, y'know." She pointed out before hastily continuing, "I did catch an angelfish right before I came over to you, actually." Her chest swelled, subconsciously she puffed it with pride, "Before that I also caught a clownfish." Tilting her head, she returned his question, "What about yourself? Admittedly, the weather hasn't made it easy to catch anything. The water is getting somewhat wild now... as you might know."
"Oh - rats!" Shellsong shook droplets of water from her whiskers. After striking into the water to catch a fish she'd missed and in the process she splashed water over her own muzzle.
From their position, Featherfoot chuckled with light-hearted amusement. "See what I mean?" She glanced back to Wavecrest with a playfully inquisitive brow.
Drizzlefur
With - [ Risingbrook ]
Location - [ Outside Camp ]
Drizzlefur shifted her paws somewhat awkwardly at Risingbrook's evident distaste to the current situation. She flicked her ears sheepishly, prepared to ask if he would like to move their competition to another time despite his disgruntled decision to fish. Before she could, the tom was moving away. Maybe I've misunderstood him, Drizzlefur felt a flash of mortification; surely she'd misread the tom.
She turned her head towards the stream and leaned forward to look at her rippling reflection, sighing quietly. Suddenly, there was a splash, and her face rippled beyond recognition. Jumping, the black molly turned her head in time to watch Risingbrook burst his head out of the water after, what she assumed, was him tumbling into it. She met his gaze, firstly concerned, then she relaxed. He'd fallen into shallow water and was clearly uninjured. A heartbeat later she laughed, it was a pleasant sound.
"I didn't realise that fish came in such cat-like shapes these days." She purred with amusement.
i know i still have to reply with sandheart to mintsong but i need to sleep because it is late! i did get these done though Cx

Cassia smiled amusedly as she witnessed Yoko's pink face. "I don't know. We can just hope," she said, blinking as the white tom licked her ear. Suddenly nothing mattered to the calico. Not even the storm outside, or the slow but steady return of her hunger.
A strange feeling sprawled out in her body; a feeling of doubt and confusion. She didn't understand where it came from, but it was there. Enjoy the moment, she pondered, desperately trying to ignore the weird feeling.

Bluepool Bluepool felt a wave of relief. She didn't want to make the hunter carry the burden of her feelings.
"It is a good hunting day. I dropped off a fruit dove and two mice at the prey pile today. It did take a while, but it was worth it," she explained casually, blinking briefly. "I would fancy a dove, actually. Thank you for your offer." She didn't show it, but she wanted to squeal in delight like a little kit. She had been daydreaming of something like this happening which may or may not classify her as a hopeless romantic.
"Would you like to hunt together, perhaps? I understand if you're tired or just don't want to, since you do have quite a bit of prey on you," she mewed, tilting her head.

butterflypaw in camp
Butterflypaw's mind was racing faster than a jackrabbit the closer she and Whitepaw drew to camp. They were both smeared with blood with a fresh new bite on Whitepaw's leg - how to spin the story so that the two of them get in the least amount of trouble?
Maybe a little white lie - say Butterflypaw was hunting for a herb to help with the bug problem, only to unwittingly wander into the Gecko Ravine, where Whitepaw saved her from a boa - no, no, too many holes. And she'd still get in trouble for heading out without a scout or her mentor. And Whitepaw would have to play along.
No, the truth would be best. She'll just have to frame it in a way that will bring the most sympathy... emphasize Whitepaw's bravery, downplay the fact that they broke the Coconutfall's rules about Gecko Ravine. Butterflypaw winced - oh, right, Coconutfall was Whitepaw's dad now, that's going to be. So awkward.
As the two approached the entrance, Butterflypaw nervously looked for the scout usually posted there. "Come on, hurry," she whispered to Whitepaw, guiding her friend through a side entrance closer to the healer's den. With hope, they could dip inside and find a healer without attracting too much attention...

EbonyEbony smiled sheepishly. "Well, first of all, I'd like to thank you for your offer," she mewed gratefully. "And, the story is... long, so I'd rather not tell all of it as it'd take atleast two days!" She was lying; she just didn't want to seem like a horrid mother.
"The cats I'm looking for are family members. Their names were Cinnamon, Crow and Opal, but there's a good chance they changed their names..." She wasn't lying this time; they were family members. "Two of them were black, one with blue eyes like mine and the other with one green and one blue eye. The third one was a ginger she-cat."

I didn't feel entirely useless these past few hours, I felt like I would contribute to both of our lives, even if my actions were minimal. ". Whitepaw »
All the way back to camp she leaned against Butterflypaw, grateful for the calico's support. Each step was tender, but by the time they had made it close to camp Whitepaw's leg was mostly numb, perhaps either used to the pain or something had gone wrong. Whitepaw decided to believe it was just the wound being used to the pain as there was no way something would go wrong considering Butterflypaw had patched it with cobwebs.
The bi-colored tabby followed Butterflypaw into camp, hopeful that they wouldn't draw too much attention - preferably no attention at all. The healers' den wasn't too far away, if any cat saw the two then perhaps they'd just assume they were slinking around trying to find ways to entertain themselves in camp. "Almost there," she murmured into Butterflypaw's ear, the healer den only a few more steps away.

Vanillabloom »
with - open (quick little post in case we wanted a little rook/vanilla scene ~)
The storm had finally made it close to camp. Thunder rumbled overhead, and Vanillabloom was sure lightning was crackling in the skies above. She had watched some of her Clanmates leave camp earlier, most of them having returned by now, but some still absent. The white molly wondered, curious and concerned, about their whereabouts, hoping that they were either almost back home or had found somewhere to shelter themselves outside until the worst of the storm blew over. As per usual, Vanillabloom had stayed inside camp; she didn't get out much these days, only every so often did she ask for a scout to bring her down to the Ocean or to walk down the familiar jungle paths. On days like those she'd collect a few herbs and flowers to bring back, but she mostly just wanted to get out of camp and stretch her legs. She loved watching over the nursery and helping with kits, but every now and then even she needed a break. Today, however, she was content with staying in camp.
Not too far off was Skinkstripe and two of her kits. Vanillabloom had been watching Horizonkit and Cliffstorm play fight for some time, thinking back to when her own kits had been that small and that full of innocent, playful energy. She longed to have those days back, the days when she had been content in her life, the days when she had nothing to worry about. Now there was so much going on. Vanillabloom shook her head. What had happened was done and over with now. Change happened, sometimes for the best, sometimes for the worst, and while she wasn't sure if this recent change was better or worse, all she could hope for was every cat involved eventually coming out alright.
Near the fresh-kill pile was her former mate and one of their daughters. Vanillabloom had noticed the two as well. It was obvious that she wanted the two to be on good terms, but she could read the frustration sparking underneath Jacarandabloom's pelt and the unease lurking inside Coconutfall. It hurt to see the two so distant from one another, but at least they were talking. That was a start. It was something.
And then her focus found the small patrol of three - Rookfall, Lilypool, and Seabreeze - returning back to camp. This put a smile on the queen's face; their patrol looked successful, each feline carrying a jawful of what looked to be mostly lime. The Clan would need that for sure what with all the bugs going around. She wondered if Rookfall would come visit her as he had been doing so in the past few days. She enjoyed the young tom's company. He was eager to listen to what she had to say, and all the more eager to learn about herbs and their uses. Rookfall's company was a good distraction from everything happening, and that was certainly something Vanillabloom needed.

The calico molly felt her mind ache with sympathy for the white tom. She placed her tail on his shoulder. "I'm glad I helped. I know it feels nice to be seen," she mewed, her voice softer then a whisper. "You've helped me in the same way, wether you believe it or not. Most cats have just taken advantage of my hunting skills to get free food and leave," she said sadly, her green eyes locking with his. His eyes seemed like two amber pools of light; they were inexplicably charming to Cassia.
Well, pretty eyes aren't enough to satisfy me. If he wants anything to do with me, he'll have to improve in other factors, she thought sternly.

Sunshine ; 'Sunny'
With - [ Ebony ]
Location - [ Lost In HibiscusClan Territory]
Sunshine was relatively easy to fool - he did not question Ebony's lack of desire to share her story. Instead, he shrugged and laughed, "Well then I'll clear my schedule and we can revisit another time," he meowed heartily.
He listening to her short detail and nodded, "Right, well, I've not seen anyone other than you but I'll keep my eye out during my travels. If I see anyone matching those descriptions I'll let them know their family member - a miss Ebony - is seeking for them." He swished his tail as though sealing his words in a promise. "I've just come from twolegplace. I know just about every cat there is to know there and I haven't met anyone with those names matching those descriptions, so the jungle here isn't a bad place to look I'd say." He continued in a babbling tumble of words. The conversation was a successful distraction from his unease at the tumultuous weather.
Rookfall
With - [ Vanillabloom ]
Location - [ Nursery ]
Water landed in bulbous droplets upon his head; a sensation that Rookfall did not desire in the slightest. Funnily enough, the tom didn't mind swimming in the stream or in the ocean - getting his coat wet was no issue to him. It was the pattering of rain in scattering motions against his stocky build that left him flinching and shaking frequently, it was unpredictable, and therefore disagreeable.
Clamping the swallow in his jaws he needn't be concerned for much longer. He promptly trod across the clearing towards the nursery, already noting the form of Vanillabloom as she perched in the comfort and dry of the den. He had discovered in recent times that he heartily enjoyed his time when spent in the white mollies company. She had an endless supply of knowledge accompanied by wit and wisdom that he strove to one day reach a level such as hers. Rookfall was in rather a peculiar position among the clan. He considered himself friends with everyone - from each kit to each counselor. However, besides his sisters, he did not have a particular companion that he considered a greatest friend. While some cats had tight-knit friends, such as Shellsong with Sunchaser, or Drizzlefur with Mintsong, Rookfall... simply did not. There was a loneliness that came with being surrounded by many others who one considered friends and he was never the first friend. That, amongst other reasons, what why Vanillabloom's attentive and soothing aura brought him such warmth.
The tom stopped in front of the nursery and quickly shook his pelt before swiftly shouldering his way into the den. He placed the swallow at his paws briefly in order to greet Skinkstripe, Horizonkit, and Cliffstorm, before he collected it once more and carried it to Vanillabloom. Delicately, he set it at her paws. "I tried to get you some prey before it got all wet!" He sounded somewhat breathless from his hasty trot across camp. He settled opposite the queen, laying with his stomach pressed to the earth and his paws neatly tucked into his chest. Droplets of water left over from his quick share formed on his ears; a quick flick shook them off.
"How are you? Hopefully not too bothered by the weather, I think it's going to storm all night - Archwhisker was supposed to be keeping watch tonight but I offered to take his spot. He gets grouchy when he feels stiff from rain." Conversation rolled naturally from the tom when he didn't feel the pressure to be impressive beside Lilypool. Especially after sharing a meal with Vanillabloom multiple times, he had found himself being more thoughtful during his days just so he would have something to converse about. However, on this particular occasion, there was a notable difference. His glowing yellow gaze seemed as deflated as his sopping pelt looked no matter how hard he tried to shrug off the lingering feeling of failure.
Sandheart
With - [ Mintsong ]
Location - [ Camp ]
Hope welled in Sandheart's distinct green eyes. For a mere heartbeat she thought that Mintsong might accede to her request of forgiveness. Her sister's green gaze seemed conflicted, her posture suddenly less furious. Sandheart dared open her maw slowly; she just needed to express how much she loved and missed her sister...
Mintsong was too quick. Despite her quiet tone, she may as well have screamed the words into Sandheart's eardrums. Each sentence - each word - was like claws slashing at her muzzle. Sandheart couldn't bare to meet her sister's furious gaze, instead she busied herself by watching as her paws pressed tightly against the earth.
I know. I know you are hurt, Mintsong. She wanted to sooth her sister's rage but she feared that anything she said would simply fan the flames in her heart. She was silent for some heartbeats after Mintsong's outburst... what was she to say? Slumping her shoulders, she finally relented and looked up. "I'm am sorry," there was a hint of heat to her tone, a passion that had lingered in the dark. "I am not sorry for my mate nor my kits. Only that others got hurt in the process." Sandheart rose from her seated position, looking small with her pelt not soaked against her frame, "That birdbrain is my mate Mintsong. I-I always loved him... and he loved me... I'm happy with him." Her words became thick with emotion. "I think if you tried... you'll love him too."
