mintsong -- in camp -- with hootpaw and archwhisker (aether), mentions coconutfall and sandheart
Mintsong stared at Coconutfall and Sandheart with glittering green eyes which clearly read disappointment. Whatever snark she had about the Ocean messing with their heads died on her tongue, seeing for the first time just how sad Sandheart looked. "Hmph," she said, turning around with an irritated flick of her tail. "Fine. Be all mature," she muttered under her breath, dissatisfied with the lack of a scene.
Not that she'd be without a scene for too long, though, as Hootpaw burst into camp. The apprentice's black fur was puffed up, gasping for breath, and the reason behind her hurry was made clear in her desperate call.
No, Mintsong realized in horror. The boa struck another? Already? Cursing under her breath, she bolted towards Hootpaw, seeing Whalespirit hurry up with a mouthful of herbs. We were too slow!
"Well, don't just stand there!" she snapped at any nearby cat. "Get up and start moving! Archwhisker! You call yourself a scout, don't you? We've got a healer and an injured cat to escort! Get to Gecko Ravine!"
She whipped around towards Hootpaw, calculating that the apprentice was in no shape to run any further. "Is the boa still active?" Mintsong said sharply, demanding an answer.
((sorry mintsong's meddling in everything, everyone has permission to snap at her ^.^''))

Algaewing hummed thoughtfully as she inhaled through her mouth, closing her eyes as she gathered all the scents in the air. It was wet season. It was bright and sunny. If anything their luck was better than usual in finding the rare and beautiful flower.
Then again, our luck hasn't been the best recently, she thought grimly as she nosed along the ferns.
It was almost as if the universe heard her thoughts, for just as her eye snagged on something bright and violet, hiding away behind the leaves, she heard a "Hello hello!" not too far away.
When she whipped her head around in exasperation, she spotted Basiltail on top of the rocks that made up the waterfall, waving his tail at her. "We need healers back at camp," he called, his tone mild.
Algaewing resisted to urge to sigh - she and her sister had been away from camp for long enough, she had to admit to herself. Oh well, the break is still relaxing in of itself. We should do this more often, she thought. "Alright, then," she called back, a little disappointed to have not found any hibiscus flowers. "What is it, then? A bad cough? Someone got injured on a patrol?"
"You could say that," Basiltail. "You know anything about snake bites?"
Algaewing nearly choked on her own spit. "Snake bites?! Basiltail! Oh my goodness! That is an emergency!"
"Oh, Seawhisker gave Swiftsplash some funny herb I don't know of," Basiltail said, "so he's doing okay. Figured I ask you two about the bugs, though."
Algaewing carefully considered the repercussions of strangling Basiltail with her own two paws. "Lilypool! Crocodilefang!" Her jumps were swift and hurried down the waterfall's back. "We've got to go! Snake bite emergency!"

"I am glad to have you at my side," Duskflight sighed. The commotion nearby lifted his head, his eyes narrowing. "Though our plans may have to wait. It looks like something's gone awry." With a quick nod of regards to his fellow counselor, Duskflight quickly strode away, lingering by the edges of camp as he watched cats rushed towards Hootpaw.
If something terrible has happened, he thought, maybe I can use this to my advantage to sway the clan, convince them that the Ocean has come to pass judgement...
((he's not the greatest cat lol))
butterflypaw -- with whalespirit (swallowtail)
Butterflypaw blinked the sleep out of her eyes, unraveling her spine and delighting in a good stretch from the tip of her nose to the back of her toes. The sunbeam she had been lying in had moved away, her pelt now cool from shadow. The young apprentice had finished her chores that morning and wheedled a well-deserved break out of her mentor, leaving Butterflypaw free to nap in the sun.
The calico rubbed her eye as sharp calls bounced through the camp - must've been what awoken her. As she blearily squinted over at an angry-looking Mintsong and an exhausted-looking Hootpaw, a slow realization dawned on her.
Butterflypaw was on her feet and scampering to Whalespirit's side as Mintsong snapped, "Is the boa still active?"
Boa?
Looking between Hootpaw's stained claws and the anise clutched in Whalespirit's jaws, Butterflypaw made the connection in a snap. At once her heart began to flutter anxiously - she hasn't had to deal with an emergency like this before. "Whalespirit," she said in a quiet but urgent voice, "how can I help?"

Lilypool »
With it being wet season Lilypool felt like they should be able to find a bush or two somewhere nearby. It was prime weather for the flowers to be out, but that didn't always mean the conditions were perfect for them. Lilypool didn't want to give up, though. She was determined to find a flower before her sister could. It wasn't often that the calico tabby got to be competitive, even if this was just a friendly game of hunt and find.
Lilypool didn't get much further in her search when a new voice entered the area. She paused, ears swiveling at the sound of the voice. Who was Algeawing talking to? Was that... "Basiltail?" The healer called out as she stepped out of the foliage she had been searching in. Her light green eyes were round with questions as she eyed the tomcat. Whatever he had already said must have been important enough for Algaewing to listen, and it wasn't long before Lilypool found out the reason for the tom's appearance.
Worry made her stomach drop. "A snake bite? Was it a krait?" She had heard stories of how those little sea creatures were deadly, one bite being enough to surrender a cat back to the Ocean, but she had never dealt with a bite herself before. They were aggressive as well, willing to bite a cat just because it could. She waited no time for an answer, though, already taking her still wet self back to camp in a rush, sure that the other cats, including Crocodilefang, was headed that way as well.

Rookfall
With - [ Vanillabloom ]
Location - [ Camp ]
The tom's eyes grew wide at the proposition Vanilliabloom put forth. His heart flared with warmth and happiness, to learn about herbs from Vanillabloom was not what he'd expected and yet it it was something he sincerely looked forward too. If there's anyone best to learn from, it would be her, the raven-coloured tom nodded enthusiastically. "That sounds great! I look forward to that!" He bent to take his share of the woodswallow and a comfortable silence enfolded them. In his mind, he was looking forward to the potential of exploring the herbs with Vanilliabloom. The nervous feeling in his stomach made him feel as though he'd best do this sooner rather then later, otherwise he might simply be too nervous to try.
After swallowing his mouthful of prey, he opened his maw to speak once more, before being interrupted by Hootpaw's sudden appearance at the entrance to camp. The black tom was on his paws in an instant, his yellow eyes fixing to his younger sister, scanning the molly from nose to tail tip in only a heartbeat. It didn't appear that she was injured... Hootpaw finally managed to utter a breathless sentence and Rookfall tensed his muscles, prepared to jump in at any moment.
Rookfall watched as Mintsong and Whalespirit approached the situation. His eyes narrowed, noting Hootpaw's sides heave with exhaustion, and hearing Whalespirit tell her to lead him to Turtlestream. She can't run all the way to the ravine! Rookfall subconsciously inched forward. Mintsong's snapped towards Archwhisker sounded and the older tabby tom bristled with discomfort, Rookfall heard the tom stammer in response; Archwhisker certainly didn't work best under pressure. Rookfall turned his head to look at Vanillabloom, his paws already moving towards the camp entrance. "I'll be free tomorrow!" He promised Vanillabloom, his excitement of the herb-trip not forgotten.
Without waiting for her reply, Rookfall raced to the entrance.Hootpaw
With - [ Whalespirt, Rookfall ]
Location - [ Camp/Gecko Ravine]
Each gasp hardly seemed enough to satisfy her hunger for air. Hootpaw was glad to watch as Whalespirit approached, prepared with a mouthful of herbs; as if he'd known exactly what he was would. That's a bit strange, the thought crossed her mind. Yet, Hootpaw was completely unaware of the deja-vu that her situation inspired. Neither she nor her patrol had been in camp when Swiftsplash had suffered the same injury. She swayed on her feet, looking as exhausted as she felt as Whalespirit told her to lead the way. One sluggish paw after the other, she prepared to do so. She looked to Mintsong, faintly hearing her question. "No... boa... gone."
"I'll go! You said Gecko Ravine?" Rookfall came to a stop in front of Hootpaw, watching her keenly as she nodded. "I'll follow you're scent, you go and sit down. Whalespirit, let's go!" Rookfall pelted from the camp, skidding over leaf litter as his paws moved at a remarkable pace. It was easy to follow the apprentices scent as she'd made no attempt to hide it as she'd made her race to camp. Glancing over his shoulder, Rookfall ensured Whalespirit was keeping pace.
It wasn't too long before the two reached the ravine, and following Hootpaw's scent led the pair straight to the site of the attack. Immediately, Rookfall felt his nose scrunch at the metallic tang of blood. "We're here! Whalespirit has some herbs, let's get Turtlestream stable so we can move her to camp." Rookfall looked to the blue healer and nodded gently, letting him know that Whalespirit could step forward and take the lead.

Archwhisker
With - [ Mintsong ]
Location - [ Camp ]
The shock of Hootpaw's unanticipated entrance to the camp left Archwhisker fumbling to grasp the situation. This was heightened when Mintsong's emerald green eyes bored into him, flared with fear and panic, and she snapped at him. He felt the fur around his shoulders bristle subconsciously. At least Coconutfall didn't choose that one, Archwhisker though scathingly. Before he even had the chance to respond, Rookfall seemed to have taken control of the situation. As soon as the tom appeared, he was leaving with Whalespirit.
Frankly, Archwhisker was somewhat disappointed. Given Mintsong's remark - "you call yourself a scout, don't you?" - he wouldn't have minded proving that indeed, he did call himself a scout.
Instead, he was left to turn towards the ginger tabby, his amber eyes narrowed with annoyance. "Hey!" He began, his tone low and gravelly as it usually was, "Don't think you can talk to me like that." He padded towards her, closing the distance between them so that he could speak his peace. "I get you're upset, but I'm not Coconutfall or Sandheart." He lifted his chin, "Remember I'm in the same position as you."
He didn't stay to listen. He didn't care much for Mintsong's response. He turned and padded coolly back to where he had been sitting by the scouts den.

Sandheart
With - [ Coconutfall ]
Location - [ Camp ]
[ to avoid them being caught up in the hootpaw bursting into camp, lets say they left like two minutes hootpaw burst into camp lol ]
Giving a reaffirming nod, the ginger molly appeared satisfied with the point they made with her sister. Soon, when the tides had settle, she would make amends. It seemed too soon to do so now; Mintsong's emotions were too fierce. I don't want to fight with her... I'll make her see. Sandheart watched her sister turn and pad away, the relief she felt can with a pang in her heart. Days ago she would have loved to sit and enjoy prey with her sister even when the other ginger molly was being her difficult, usual self. Now... there were other things to attend too.
"Yes, let's go. We'll make it quick." She looked to her mate and breathed a deep breath. With their audience gone, Sandheart stole a heartbeat of time to lean forward and swipe her tongue reassuringly over Coconutfall's ear. Then, without another word, she made haste towards the camp entrance.
Outside of camp felt much more relaxing then anytime she spent inside. With no eyes to watch, she padded close beside Coconutfall. Eyes steadily focused ahead, her mind concentrating on the task at hand, and her pelt brushing gently against his.
[ short one because my brain has melted xD i had an exam today and it was hard ]

Ripplepaw Ripplepaw's eyes suddenly darted towards Tigerpaw, her pelt bristling. The tom before her looked very alarmed, she realized, and she didn't know what could've upsetted him so much. With a pang of fear, she realized that maybe there was something going on, but she was just too carried away with her rock to notice. Now alarmed herself, she hurriedly began to ask the neopyhte questions. "What happened? Did you see something? Are you okay," she said, stepping closer to further examine his flustered shape. His tail was puffed up, his face alert and pelt bristling. A realization dawned on her; had somecat caught them? No, no, it couldn't be it; Tigerpaw had proved himself to be confident. He would've told her calmly... right?
Worry washed over her. She then realized; Tigerpaw seemed like he too had seen something. Something strange, something otherworldly, she worried, as she scanned their surroundings with her blue gaze. She had seen something nostalgic and beautiful upon looking at the jade-green stone; but what if the stone triggered a vision for him just like it had for her? What if the Ocean had something to tell the two young apprentices? She shook her head wildly as if to repell her thoughts; there was no way that was true. She was just some apprentice, but Tigerpaw, on the other hand, was the neopyhte. What if the Ocean used the stone to tell him something?
"Tigerpaw, if anything's happened, y-you can tell me, y'know," she urged him, eyes wide and ears twitching constantly. She glanced at the seagreen stone, her mind once again corrupted by the fond memory of her kithood. She looked back up at the tabby tom, her gaze suddenly clouded by tears. She blinked them away, hoping Tigerpaw hadn't seen them. Why did she want to cry out of nowhere? Stupid, she scolded, stupid idiot! I'll just upset him even more, she worried.

Vanillabloom »
A mrrrrow of amusement came from the queen. There was a genuine happiness inside Rookfall’s eyes that Vanillabloom had not seen come from any other cat in quite some time. Seeing that was enough to perk her up despite all the ongoings with the Clan. Seeing another cat so happy, knowing that she had helped with that happiness, was enough to keep Vanillabloom going. That’s all she needed to feel secure in her own happiness. ”I look forward to it as well,” she mewed warmly, eyes bright and alive rather than shrouded with gloom.
But of course, happiness could only last so long.
Within seconds a black blur came bursting into camp. Vanillabloom jumped up, ears perked and body held high in alert. Soon she registered the black shape as Hootpaw, Rookfall’s younger sister from another litter. Again chaos erupted in the camp, taking away the happiness that Vanillabloom had felt earlier. Her jaw tightened as she looked at the scene unfolding. Another cat injured. When would it end? When would all this chaos end? Vanillabloom let out a slow, drawn out sigh. This was not good. Was this the Ocean’s way of telling the Clan it was unhappy?
As she stood there she watched Rookfall take off. She vaguely gestured a farewell to the tomcat. ”Tomorrow,” she echoed, voice fading into the clamor of cats as more and more cats raced over to see what was going on. Vanillabloom could only hope that tomorrow would bring forth a better day. She was excited about teaching Rookfall, but there was certainly a stillness to the Clan that choked out any positive feelings.
While trying not to let her mood dampen too much, she stayed where she was, not wanting to get in the way but keeping an eye out on the commotion just in case she was needed.
Coconutfall »
It was worrisome how Mintsong was acting toward him and Sandheart. Well, Coconutfall wasn’t worried about how his Clanmates were treating him - he knew he deserved the cold shoulder and whatever harsh words they had for him - but it was how she was treating Sandheart that concerned the brown tabby. Why was it so hard for cats to accept that they loved one another just because the Ocean had told Palmshade to pair her son up with another molly? No other cat had to be told who they could and couldn’t get with. It made no sense to him. And why was his actions now tarring the reputation of his kits? Lilypool, Algaewing, and Redwave had done nothing wrong. He had sired them, yes, but his mistakes were not theirs, that had to be simple enough to understand, right? His kits should not suffer just because of something he had done. He had been distant toward them the past few days, but that didn’t mean his love for them were any less. Both of his litters held a special place in his heart, and Coconutfall was not about to let some cat think poorly of them.
Coconutfall could feel that he was letting frustration guide him. His tail lashed back and forth, ears flattened against his cranium. Through narrowed eyes he looked over at Sandheart, and instantly his mood softened. He relaxed, features softening at the sight of the ginger molly walking beside him. A gentle smile replaced the taut frown that had been on his muzzle. He purred, leaning into her touch as he felt her tongue rasp across his ear.
Being able to so openly express his affection for Sandheart was still new to the oracle. It felt foreign. Not that long ago being able to even so much as steal a look with the molly was lucky, but now he was able to shower her with love whenever he wanted. All frustration from earlier faded, replaced with a light, airy feeling. A purr rippled down his throat as he flicked his tail to the side, wrapping it gently around Sandheart’s own.
While it would be easy to get lost in the moment with his mate, Coconutfall knew this outing was for business. They only had so much time left before the sun went down; already the sky was darkening, but it wasn’t long before the familiar sounds of the Ocean washed over the tabby, and after a few more pawsteps, the forest gave way to soft sand with the Ocean stretching out before them in all its glory.

Tigerpaw »
Tigerpaw felt weak. His limbs shook while his heart raced, thudding harshly against his ribcage. He stared blankly out toward the Ocean, shaking and wet and full of uncertainty. What had just happened? Had he been given a sign? But what was the sign of? Was it a warning? An omen? A chill ran up his spine. He had never had anything like that happen to him before.
Unaware of everything around him, Tigerpaw had no idea that he was now leaning up against Ripplepaw, his brown tabby pelt pressing into her black fur. He was ignorant to anything going on with his friend, which wasn’t usual for the young tomcat, but he was too caught up in what had happened, what he had envisioned, to take note of how Ripplepaw was reacting to all this strangeness.
Barely did he hear the molly’s voice. The roar of the Ocean was still prominent in his ears, loud, angry. He gulped. ”I…I don’t…know what happened.” There was no dishonesty in his voice, only a tired confusion. Tigerpaw shook his head. ”There was so much water, and then…then I looked back and…nothing had happened.” This was something that he wasn’t sure he’d be able to explain to Ripplepaw. He wanted to, there was a part of him that wanted to tell the molly everything that he had witnessed, but he wasn’t sure he had the words to describe it. Not yet, at least.
”We should probably go back to camp,” he murmured, still shaking. He’d need Ripplepaw to support him on the way back, the shock of it all still running wild through his veins, but maybe once they were away from the Ocean and headed back toward camp he would start to feel better. That’s what Tigerpaw hoped at least.

((nooo, i hope you feel better soon feathertalon! crossing all the fingers!
best of luck on your tests, aether!))
"No, 'twas a boa," Basiltail informed them, and Algaewing really wished he didn't say it so cheerily.
"What?" Algaewing snapped. "What's making a boa going around biting cats? Doesn't it usually use constriction?" Her breathing quickly grew heavy after a minute of running, and she reminded herself to talk less move more.
"Told you," Basiltail said. "Bugs."
Algaewing was relieved when they finally burst into camp. She made a beeline for the healer's den, looking over her shoulder to check on Lilypool. "What happened," she said in a clinical manner, sweeping her gaze over the prone Swiftsplash. "Saltwhisker? Seabreeze?"
mintsong -- with hootpaw, mentions of archwhisker (aether)
Mintsong blinked after Archwhisker, mouth slightly agape.
Perhaps then she started to feel a little bad for her sharp words. Archwhisker was right, after all - they were both siblings to the duo who started this whole mess. If anything, Archwhisker might be the only cat to truly relate to how she was feeling. And if Mintsong was a little bit more mature, she might've had a thought to connect with him, to talk and let out her feelings in a healthy manner.
But the huntress was stubborn, and she was bitter, and above all else, immature.
"Can't help but see you didn't do anything," she called after him, still salty, still needing the last word. "Left it all to Rookfall, huh?"
But Archwhisker either didn't hear or didn't care, and Mintsong huffed as she swished her tail and stalked off, paws itching. Forget this.
"You heard Rookfall," she grumbled to Hootpaw. "Go sit down, take a breather. You've done all you could."
She's done all she could. She's not a scout nor healer - the best thing she could do for this clan right now was hunting, and so hunting she will go.
When Duskflight saw Vanillabloom, looking out anxiously at the commotion, he saw more than just a fellow cat in need of a friend. He saw an opportunity.
"Vanillabloom," he rumbled as he drew close, noticing healer and scout disappearing into the brush, quieting the camp once more. "A spot too much chaos today, isn't it?" Duskflight carefully settled next to her. "I hope the Ocean grants us protection and strength."
He looked at her with worried eyes. "Beyond that, though. Are you doing okay?" Then, a bit softer, "Has the Ocean offered you guidance? I can only imagine the troubled waters you're paddling through right now."
butterflypaw -- with whalespirit (swallowtail ), turtlestream, and rookfall (aether ) in gecko ravine
Butterflypaw didn't wait for Whalespirit to offer the go-ahead. She took in a deep breath and plunged into the undergrowth, right behind Rookfall and her mentor.
A giver of the benefit of the doubt would say Butterflypaw just wanted to help, to be there for her clanmates and do the best she could as a healer's apprentice despite the risks, and yes a small part of her does.
But an even bigger part of her just really wants the juice of the story. A boa attack? How much juicier can you get? She needed to get up and personal - she needed to be there. No, Butterflypaw followed because she knew that if she stayed in camp, the curiosity would kill her.
She stumbled onto the scene just after Rookfall and Whalespirit, panting. "I can help, too," she said, looking between the two, before her stomach roiled at the sight of blood, of the pain etched across Turtlestream's face. Her eyes widened. "Oh my gosh, are you okay?"

Ripplepaw Ripplepaw's eyes widened in shock as the tabby tom pressed his soaked pelt to hers. What had upsetted him so much? It must have been terrifying, whatever he had seen, for him to be so shaken. Her ears flattened against her head as Tigerpaw spoke, stating he didn't know what had happened. At once, she replied, "I agree. Let's get back to camp," muttered the blue-eyed molly, her pelt bristling and her pupils growing in size as she swam out of the water with Tigerpaw's pelt brushing against hers. She hissed under her breath, damning the Ocean and all of its creatures. Why him, she wondered, why him out of all cats? Why'd they do this to him? Surely they could've shown whatever Tigerpaw had seen to Coconutfall?
Coconutfall, she thought grimly, Coconutfall, the great. As her mind spiraled into an endless void of sarcasm and misery, she realized her claws were unsheathed and her teeth were showing. She quickly converted back to her so-called calm manner, her face expressionless and fur forcfully flattened against her skin. She hated it all; the Ocean, the Sprits, Coconutfall, and, more then anything, her mother. She left her to rot beneath a palm, and she only had the cats from HibiscusClan to thank for saving her. A thud of regret hit her hard; she would've never met Tigerpaw if her mother didn't leave her. Maybe it was for the better such a miserable cat left me, she realized.
Once they reached the coast, she grabbed the butterflyfish she caught. With a pang of shock, she realized the stone was gone. She rapidly turned around; the seagreen beauty was nowhere to be seen. Tears washed over her gaze, and she closed her eyes to stop them from flowing.
Another memory flooded her tired mind; a black cat with bright blue eyes dropping her beneath a palm, just like she was told. This time, the memory was vivid; she must've been awake. Suddenly, the cat's ocean-like eyes were clouded by tears, and it turned around, its lithe shape running away from the palm. Ripplepaw's tiny paws tried to reach it, but to no avail. Her eyes were gripped by a wave of tears, and she wailed loudly, her small body quivering beneath the leafy plant. A ginger and beige cat approached her at once, his green eyes filled with sorrow. He picked her up by the scruff, and she squealed and screamed as she was carried to camp. Was this her father, a Clan member, dragging her to HibicusClan? Was he a member of the Clan? She desperately tried to think of a ginger tom from her Clan, but there were quite a few. Frustrated, she opened her eyes, taking a loud step forward, her chest puffed in anger and her whiskers twitching. She then remembered she should wait for the older apprentice, and she turned back around, an apologetic look on her face. "Sorry," she murmured, her eyes trained on the sand beneath her. I'll find out who my father is.

BTW Feathertalon I hope you get better! Aether is right; the flu is really bad this year. I've had some sort of flu a few days ago, but thankfully, I'm better now. It was truly horrid. I hope your COVID test comes back negative again

Saltwhisker
The white tom turned around, his eyes shining with relief when he saw Algaewing. "Thank the Ocean, Algaewing," he heaved, turning back around to examine Swiftsplash further. He frowned; the bite was getting worse, slowly but surely. If it weren't for Basiltail, Algaewing wouldn't be here and Swiftsplash would have a risk of death.
He bit the inside of his cheek; the injured scout was burning up. He'd have to make something for his fever, he realized, and as he was thinking, the tom beneath him began talking in his sleep. He muttered things like "ravine", "no", "boa" and "blood". He figured this was a side effect of the bite.
He looked at Algaewing, despair clear in his blue gaze. "What now? He's burning up," he reported.

Sandheart
With - [ Coconutfall ]
Location - [ Camp ]
There was much to think about as they proceeded towards the ocean. Sandheart couldn't pinpoint the nervous sensation in her stomach - it felt as through a meadow of butterflies were flapping about wildly. The feeling only increased, fluttering with more and more intensity as they approached the Ocean.
What if the Ocean rejects me?
She felt like an apprentice visiting the ocean for the first time to witness their ancestors. On the day she had received her apprentice suffix, she had been anxious to meet the Ocean, to feel and witness it's intensity; to understand her culture and the importance of the giant body of water. Of course, the Ocean had welcomed her. She remembered as it lapped at her underbelly, the gritty sensation of her namesake - the sand - rolled over her paws, it had been a moment that sent jolts of elation through each cell in her body. What if it is different now... because I betrayed tradition? She swallowed nervously, feeling her paws falter as they reached the sandy beginnings to the beach.
From the treeline, a pawstep from the sandy beach, she rose her chin and watched as the waves rolled gently into the shore. Behind the waves was the line of the horizon, where the sun was beginning to dip below the Ocean's depths. Rays of summery, pale orange streaked the sky, any clouds in the sky where ringed with a halo of pinkish shadow. It was a beautiful sight.
Subconsciously, she moved forward towards the water. Her heart pulled at an invisible cord, one that tugged her towards the Ocean; where she belonged. Her anxiety made way for a feeling of a motherly warm that touched her pelt and made her paws feel light as a feather. Perhaps it was the alleviating peacefulness that the scene brought. Or, perhaps, it was the Ocean telling her that it's okay.
Sandheart sucked in a breath, inhaling the salty air that rolled from the sea water, before looking back to Coconutfall. "I'll be here. You can go and speak with the Ocean." She gently bumped her head against his shoulders, nudging him forward. Some tail-lengths from the the water, Sandheart sat and bore witness to the Ocean. In the distance, the suns lingering reflection made the water dazzle; she imagined her ancestors upon those waves, watching her now.
Hootpaw
With - [ Mintsong ]
Location - [ Camp ]
Awkward. Even in her exhausted state, Hootpaw watched the tense interaction between Mintsong and Archwhisker. She watched as Archwhisker waved his tail dismissively to the ginger molly, seemingly unbothered by her demand to have the last word. As her chest began to feel less restrictive, Hootpaw found the strength to step forward towards the apprentice den, however she quickly stopped. Whitepaw sat beside the den, looking frustrated and gloomy. I'd rather not deal with that right now, the black molly thought. With everything happening, the last thing she needed was to have an awkward interaction with her denmate.
Looking back to Mintsong, Hootpaw sighed and flicked her ears, somewhat annoyed. "I did hear Rookfall, I have ears." She meowed matter-of-factly.
The small molly meandered towards the fresh kill pile and picked up a decently sized gecko. She sniffed with dissatisfaction upon the realization that her own freshly caught prey was left behind. What a waste. Regardless, Hootpaw sat nearby the pile in a pocket of shade and began enjoying her prey.

It's Tennessee, so still the south and the south likes to be way too hot in the summer Your temperature is what I wish I had, I love the cold, I'm a polar bear and the colder the better Ooooof, yeah I'm a failure at math so I feel ya on that one, but you got this! This is about as much as I know on the USA map xD (I just thought it would be funny to test myself and I realised I do not know the US very well).
yes i know LA is a city but i feel like it is also the whole coast?? (jk but also kinda not jk) I do definitely prefer the cold over sweltering temperatures and stinking humidity!

algaewing with lilypool (Feathertalon ) and saltwhisker (☾—ivy。˚⊹♪:¨ · )
Algaewing narrowed her eyes, inspecting the bite wound Saltwhisker pointed out. "Fever indicates an infection," she said, carefully lifting the cobweb gauze. Her nose twitched at the scent of garlic. "The wound looks clean. It's either coming from inside or somewhere else. Take me through what you already gave him."
As Saltwhisker listed off the herbs, Algaewing nodded. "Good. Brahmi and coriander should be boosting his immune system, hopefully enough to fight off whatever's snuck into his system. Let's give him gavilana for the infection, vanilla for the fever."
As she parted Swiftsplash's fur to check for further wounds, she frowned in confusion. A cluster of small bug bites huddled under his pelt, a rash starting to grow upon his skin. Something jumped onto her paw - she shook it off, squishing it out of instinct. "And maybe some gumbo-limbo won't hurt," she muttered.
She waved her sister over. "Lilypool, what do you think?"
