ABOUT A clan that is known for their stealth and honor. They attempt to keep out of the messy politics between the other clans, more concerned with the dangers of their own territory. Known for their secrecy, the other clans don't know much about their inner workings. The cats of CrowClan are usually pretty scrappy and more adept at fighting than the other two clans.
The mountain is a dangerous place to live and the felines rely heavily on quick, quiet paws to keep them alive. The cats are adept at using their surroundings to their advantage, melting into the shadows, and darting between foliage. This clan has a skill for dropping on prey and enemy alike without warning. Mothers whisper about CrowClan warriors being ghosts.
There is no greater honor amongst the clan than dying in battle. To die in defense of your clan guarantees you a spot amongst the stars. These cats are conscious of their actions, trying to seek the path of righteousness. To lie or cheat is considered a dent on your reputation, unless it is done with the right intentions. They're not ones to believe in luck or fate. Hard work and grit line the path to success. If you want something, you must work for it.
CrowClan cats can be both broad and muscular or lean and agile. The most common coat colors are black, silver, gray, and golden. Bengal patterns are regularly seen, along with seal and color points. Their pelts are thick to protect them from colder temperatures. Frequent attributes on these cats are large paws, long claws, and tufted ears. Scars are considered badges of honor. CUSTOMS ┋Vow of Silence┋ Predators run rampant through the clan's territory, more so than the other clans have to deal with. The mountains are a wonderful source of prey but that abundance brings danger. During Nettlestar's leadership, almost the whole clan had been lost to mountain lions and wolves. In response, he came up with the idea to take a vow of silence when out in the forest. No speaking is allowed outside of camp, the Champion's Cave, or gatherings.
Silence keeps the predators from locating CrowClan cats.
This has made the clan adapt to read body and tail signals - even facial expressions - with more accuracy than any other clan in the area. They don't need words to speak to one another, command patrols, and garner respect. The clan knows the power of silence - how it can be used to intimidate, comfort, and inspire thoughtfulness. If a cat is caught speaking outside the designated places or situations, they're often given elder duty and are kept in camp.
┋The Trial┋ As mentioned, to die in battle is really big deal in the clan, and as a result they enjoy showing off their fighting prowess. The Trial is a day-long competition that takes place once every season, usually on quarter moons. Cats of all ages all experience the high energy and excitement that surrounds the event. The apprentices and warriors have separate competitions to keep things fair. Cats don't have to participate in the actual fights if they don't want to.
Cats who don't fight can spectate and take bets. This is a time of exuberance within the clan. The challenges proceed in a bracket-style, with the apprentices battling first. When an apprentice wins they are given a pass from elder duties for a moon or, if old enough, are made into warriors.
The warriors' competition is much more intense, with blood allowed to be drawn but maiming or killing is still forbidden. A warrior who wins the Trial becomes a Victor, highly respected amongst the clan, and gets to put their pawprint up on the wall in the Champion's Cave. Losers of the fights are to be treated with respect, it's dishonorable to further wound their pride.
┋Gift Giving┋ Just like their avian mascot, cats of CrowClan often show their affection through material items. Gifts aren't reserved for certain relationships and are given to show a close bond of friendship and or love. Parents are often the first gift-givers for their kits.
Common trinkets to give out are pebbles, feathers, flowers, etc. Some cats prefer to line their nests with the gifts they've received, others like to weave the feathers, and plants, into their fur. Sometimes mates express their bond through a matching or shared gift. The bigger, shinier, or harder to get a token is, the more meaningful it is. Other times, cats search for the gift with the most sentimental value.
Gifts are encouraged to be given year-round, but the winter solstice is when all cats of the clan share an evening of trading gifts and feasting. There's even been a recent tradition of hiding the gifts for a kit's first winter solstice with the clan. TERRITORY CrowClan lives on the mountain, surrounded by coniferous forest. Spruce, aspen, pine, hemlock, larch, and cedar trees dot the landscape in large clusters, broken up by rocky outcroppings and grassy clearings. There are a few cliffs in the territory that can be dangerous to unaware cats. There are small streams throughout the western part of their territory due to the mountain top. Camp is high in the mountains close to their northern border.
┋Tumbling Falls┋ In the northern section of CrowClan territory, there are a series of little waterfalls by a steep side of the mountain. The water here is clean and crystal clear, mostly runoff from the top of the mountain peak. This is where the clan gets most of its drinking water and the rocks surrounding the area are broad and flat, serving as great sunning stones.
┋Hemlock Grove┋ To the southeast is the clan's prime hunting spot, made up of a large clearing. The perimeter of the space is made up of tall, thin hemlock trees and ferns. The surplus of shelter and flora makes it abundant with prey, particularly rodents and birds. Predators often set up their dens in this area though and it's never safe to go without backup.
┋Champion's Cave┋ Only a few wolf-lengths from camp, this is a small cave. All trials are held here, in a circle of rocks the clan has set up in the center. Winners of the trials use a special red dye to place their paw-print on the backwall. This is a popular place for apprentices and young warriors to hang out, since it is near enough to camp that they're allowed to speak.
┋Nettle's Watch┋ The mountainside continues above their camp and a wide ledge is one of the only accessible footholds. This ledge is where sentries often sit, watching the path that leads to camp for any sign of danger. Named Nettle's Watch after the third leader of CrowClan, who used this perch to warn the clan before a pair of foxes could attack.
┋Green Ridge┋ While this tall cliff is the best place to collect herbs, thanks to the lush undergrowth provided by the streams, it's also dangerous. The ground, particularly near the edge, is unstable and many cats have fallen to their death over the seasons. Apprentices are forbidden from being in this area without a warrior. Fire Lilies grow here, a romantic gift.
┋Echo Ravine┋ At lower elevation on the mountain, near the OwlClan border, is a shallow ravine. The area is prone to echoes and so the clan uses it to practice stealth and battle. Since the skitter of a pebble would bounce off the walls of the ravine, it's also a relatively safe section of the territory. Predators can rarely manage to sneak up on the cats here.
C A M P CrowClan has had to be very strategic with the placement of their camp. Set deep in the mountain, in a huge cavern that's wide enough not to induce claustrophobia. Thanks to small vents in the earth, lots of fresh air gets down into the cave. The entrance is a long, winding tunnel, the opening of which is hidden by thick thorn bushes. The mountain is sheer around the camp, there is only one pathway that leads to the entrance and it's lined with carefully placed traps. Dens are made of smaller caves that branch off from the central clearing. Pale Stone, a tall white stone, is where they make their announcements.

- The clan has chosen to stay out of the bickering between OwlClan and SwanClan, as usual. However, the tensions are becoming so overwhelming, soon they might not have a choice. [ hey, firestar2424scratch ! c: Rainy summed it up, but i know how being new is, so i wanted to offer some further help!
Original Post Darkclaw decided to go hunting. - it doesn't give a lot to reply to, and there's potential for description. ^^ Example 1 Darkclaw had decided to do some hunting this morning. The grass was still dotted with dew, the breeze rustling through the trees. Pale gray paws slid quietly over the ground, yellow eyes locked on the mouse a few tail-lengths away. His muscles bunched, tensing for a split second before he launched himself at the prey. He landed on the mouse cleanly and killed it with a nip to its neck. - there's description of his surroundings, his appearance, and actions. just simple things that build up ~ Example 2 Darkclaw had woken up feeling the urge to get out of camp. Instead of waiting for a dawn-patrol, he'd decided to go out an do some solo hunting. He snorted at the memory of Aspenspirit flailing in her sleep. The noise had forced the tom awake before he'd been ready. So he was a bit irritated this morning. Huffing out a sigh, the gray and black tabby lifted his muzzle to sent for prey. - this one describes the emotions he's feeling and why he feels that way, which can also be good to add ~ Hopefully these examples help you spark some ideas for how to elongate your posts, let me know if you have questions or concerns! I'm happy to help! ]
Olivesky with open heading back to camp @ Tag
Waking up in the morning was a simple affair for Olivesky, as she'd always been a bit of a morning cat. Even in her old age, she couldn't manage to sleep in. What did tend to bother her was sitting around waiting for the day to begin and her clan-mates to rouse. So she'd gone out to hunt on her lonesome, which she often used to prefer.
It had been a long time where she didn't have to worry about anything but her paws touching the ground and where the next prey animal would be found. There were few things the tabby enjoyed more than her (rare) morning hunts.
Now, her paws carried her back towards camp, two shrews and a mouse dangling from her jaws. The prey wasn't large but it was still something. Olivesky winced as a wrong step sent a jolt of pain to her tired joints, she definitely wasn't as young as she used to be. The ginger feline ducked into camp, her pale gaze flashing around, curious to see who was awake this morning.
Timberwolf with open Nettle's Watch @ Tag
The tomcat lay on the precarious edge of Nettle's Watch, his paws crossed almost dantily before him. His amber eyes were sharp on the path before him, watching for any sign of danger. The morning had been quiet so far, but the dawn-patrol had yet to go out. There was plenty of time for predators to appear and be menaces.
He'd overheard some other warriors complaining about sentinal duty, but Timberwolf couldn't for the life of him imagine why. He enjoyed the solitude and the view of the forest... beautiful. Well, his sister had once mentioned it was pretty. He usually trusted her judgement on those sorts of things.
Aspenspirit with open in camp @ Tag
Leading dawn-patrol was not particularly Aspenspirit's favorite task. It was the waking up early. She'd much rather be asleep in her nest right now. But, a task from the deputy was not to be ignored. Her green eyes flickered back towards the central cavern, already sitting beside the entrance. They really needed to get this patrol going, it wouldn't be dawn for too much longer.
Myrtlepaw with open in camp @ Tag
The medicine cat apprentice carefully shifted the catmint into a neat pile, away from the pile of daffodil petals she'd been sorting. Early to bed, early to rise. That was Myrtlepaw's motto. Her head tilted thoughtfully, blue eyes lingering on the dwindling poppy seeds. They would likely have to deal with that soon. An excursion to the Green Ridge might be in order. The she-cat suppressed a shiver of fear at the thought of the dangerous cliff. Her predecessor, Nettlepaw, had died there, collecting herbs without his mentors.
Stoatpaw with open in camp @ Tag
The bengal tom was still sleeping, curled up tightly against the faint draft that wafted through entrance of the apprentice's den. His tail was tucked over his nose and he never shifted, so still he could almost appear dead. Stoatpaw was a heavy sleeper, always had been. He usually didn't sleep for too long though, not since he'd become an apprentice. There was too much to do, to learn. Sleep was a waste of time.

Nightwhisper with open warrior's den @ Tag
Nightwhisper almost looked small with how tightly he was curled up, fast asleep in his nest lined in the small trinkets he'd been given over the seasons. He might've stayed asleep longer, if it weren't for his own fur tickling his nose. He wakes with a sneeze, startling even himself and making the black tom shoot up. The burly warrior stands alert, glancing around and hearing some groans around him as he accidentally wakes up a few of his denmates. Not even offering an apologetic glance to those in his vicinity, Nightwhisper lays back in his nest and prays to Starclan that sleep will come again. Unlike some other warriors, Goldensong was always eager to start the day. Also, waking up earlier meant that she got to go to sleep sooner. Being assigned dawn patrol was nothing new, and there's a bounce to her step as she approaches an antsy looking Aspenspirit. "Where's everyone else?" The golden bengal asked, now looking around herself for the rest of the patrol. Not waiting for an answer, she turns her attention back to her friend with a cheerful smile. "How'd you sleep? I didn't even hear you get up this morning!"
Briarnose with open in camp @ Tag
Briarnose wakes up quickly, pulled from a dream of chasing mice all because Nightwhisper just had to let out the loudest sneeze she's ever heard. She swears it almost shakes the cave they're all sleeping in. The she-cat shoots him an annoyed look, but he's already settling into his nest. Letting out a short huff, the young warrior stands up and starts to make her way out of the warrior's den. She was already up, might as well get something to eat. A small feather from a bluebird was woven into her fur, right near her left shoulder blade. A token from her mentor when she'd received her name a few moons ago. She could feel it getting looser, and wonders if she should try and groom it out soon, line her nest with it instead.
With these thoughts swimming around in her head, she would find herself padding towards the fresh-kill pile. Her stomach growls, loud enough that surely the cat beside her could hear. Heat rises to her pelt and she flexes her claws against the stoney floors as she looks over the pile, mind going blank as she tries to remember what she likes to eat.

lynxspots - crowclan camp with goldensong & aspenspirit Lynxspots emerged from one of the smaller side caves and nervously shifted his gaze around the cavern, worried that the dawn patrol had left without him. Not many cats were up yet. He scanned those few who were stirring for golden-brown fur like his own and a pale silver tabby coat. After a few tense heartbeats he spotted them by the entrance tunnel and breathed a quiet sigh of relief. He wasn't good for much in a Clan that prided itself on its battle prowess; the least he could do was attend a patrol on time. "I'm coming, I'm coming," he called in a soft voice, hurrying across the stone floor to join them. He slowed his pace as he neared. "I'm here." Lynxspots nodded in a friendly way to Goldensong and offered Aspenspirit a shy smile. "Hello, good morning, sorry I'm late, I was in the dirtplace," he explained somewhat breathlessly. He looked from one molly to the other. "Is everyone here?"
ravenswoop - crowclan territory; open Ravenswoop was in a foul mood. The sun, still low in the sky, had not yet risen above the frigid peaks, leaving much of the mountain still in shadow. The air was cool and still beneath the coniferous trees that dotted the slope. Her sleek black fur blended seamlessly with the darkened environment around her so that she didn't have to hide to approach her prey in stealth. The gloomy dawn suited her present attitude just fine. For two moons Ravenswoop had woken to an empty nest beside her, and she still wasn't used to the ache it inflamed in her chest. The pain had dulled somewhat since, but earlier this week, her mate's scent had at last faded altogether from the nest, erasing the last lingering traces of her love from this world. Heartache renewed, Ravenswoop had taken to spending less and less time in the warriors' cave; she rose early and went to bed late into the night, not daring to stay there any longer than she had to. She wondered if she would ever feel normal again.
This morning, she tracked a squirrel. She had followed it on the ground as it leaped from branch to branch. Finally, it scurried down the trunk of a spruce and busied itself unearthing a cache of nuts it had buried by the tree's gnarled roots. The squirrel scratched around in the damp needles that blanketed the forest floor, completely unaware of the danger that approached.
Ravenswoop leaped over the root and landed heavily on the squirrel, killing it faster than she would've liked. She knew the warrior code forbade mutilating prey -- CrowClan demanded that its warriors be honorable in hunting as well as battle -- yet she could not help but savor the feeling of her claws sinking into flesh. She imagined the squirrel beneath her was the cat who had murdered Duskbreeze and felt a vicious stab of satisfaction. A soft growl built in the back of Ravenswoop's throat.

Aspenspirit felt her shoulders relax a bit when the familiar scent of Goldensong washed over her. Pale green eyes landed on her friend, offering her own smile in return. "No clue. I hope they hurry, we're running out of dawn," she mewed, casting another glance around camp. The last thing she wanted was to be scolded by Cardinalstar or the deputy for failing to patrol their borders.
"Mm? Oh, I slept alright but Timberwolf stepped on my tail before he left the den for guard duty and I've been up ever since," the silver tabby chuckled, shaking her head slightly. Normally her brother was pretty spry, so she had to wonder if he'd done it on purpose. She wouldn't put it past him. While the siblings loved one another, their relationship was more teasing and competitive than it was overwhelmingly affectionate.
The arrival of Lynxspots helped to put her worries to rest. They had almost their whole patrol now, so they could likely just head off. "It's fine, Lynxspots, at least you remembered to show up," Aspenspirit offered in reply. She arched her spine in a long stretch as she stood, muscles in her legs trembling as they were pulled taut.
"I know there were supposed to be a few others... but we might as well go." They'd be lucky if any other warriors showed up, the camp was so quiet and still. While they remained silent out in their territory, usually the camp was bustling with all the chatter and noise they tried to suppress. The majority of CrowClan must still be asleep.

There's something about the mention of her brother, Timberwolf, that makes her immediately start to look around for him before she it's mentioned that he's on guard duty currently. Goldensong tries to play it off like she was looking for the rest of their patrol, but it's not hard to see past her facade. Even StarClan had to know of her little crush on the silver tabby. The only cat to not catch on had to be Timberwolf himself. It could be a little frustrating at times, but nothing she couldn't handle.
"I'm sorry to hear about your tail, I'm sure it wasn't on purpose." Goldensong tries to sound optimistic about it, but she knows as well as Aspenspirit does that he totally could've. Before much else could be said, the voice of her brother has her swiveling around to face to direction of his voice.
Goldensong bounds over to Lynxspots when he's just a little over a fox-lengths away, rubbing her cheek against his in greeting. "Morning!" She comes up on his side and now looks to Aspenspirit as well. It felt like the other molly was in charge, mainly because she was older than the both of them. Plus, she just had this air of authority around her. She briefly wonders if it's an attribute of being a victor.
Giving a curt nod, the spotted she-cat starts to press towards the tunneled entrance of the clan. "Sounds like a plant, let's go!"

- - - ( okay but the idea that the siblings goldensong and lynxspots have unrequited crushes on the siblings timberwolf and aspenspirit is adorable ) - - - lynxspots - crowclan camp with goldensong & aspenspirit Lynxspots pulled up short as his sister skipped over to greet him. "Yes, good morning to you, too," he replied, surreptitiously pressing his nose to her cheek in return. He was acutely aware of Aspenspirit watching them and felt heat creep into his cheeks at Goldensong's overt display of affection. Where Goldensong was spirited and friendly, he was quiet and reserved. They balanced each other nicely, and he did love her, but his sister could be... overzealous at times. He sighed. "I guess we're going, then," he murmured, looking to Aspenspirit for confirmation. He tried not to let his eyes linger on the pretty molly for too long. Ducking his head self-consciously, he padded after Goldensong, who had already bounded ahead to the entrance tunnel. "Goldensong, wait!" He called. The golden-brown warrior quickened his pace to catch up. "Where are we going today?"

Shadepelt with open Crowclan camp @ Tag
Shadepelt coughed through one of those yawns that wanted to take over her entire body, irritated when she couldn't quite choke it down, and padded out of the Elder's den, emerging into the main camp cavern. The sunlight should have been streaming through gaps in the thorns and the vents high above her, but instead, it was as cold as morning, almost frosty, and... no, it was morning, that was right. Morning, not hot afternoon, and she'd been... going to do something, surely. It was early, yes, but there was no reason to go back to sleep. She'd been going to visit Duskbreeze, surely, at the grave site she'd picked out with her own paws. That sounded right.
He was trying not to live up to his name, really, he was. But there simply wasn't enough light hitting the cavern entrance to generate anything beyond a chilly dampness, and Coldpaw leapt up when he saw his mentor approaching, vibrating with hopeful anticipation. Goldensong was with her friends, of course, but they were usually pretty nice, and more importantly, they knew all about different things. And if they were going on dawn patrol, which, the sun was already up, surely that should happen earlier, but whatever, more importantly, most importantly, they could answer his questions.
"Hi Goldensong, Aspenspirit, Lynxspots," he trotted up to them, bobbing his head in respectful greeting and worrying that he looked a little like a pigeon, doing it so many times in a row. "Goldensong, why do bugs taste bitter, like herbs? Where were they during leaf-bare? Or during the rain, they're never out in the rain, why is that? Do you think bugs have strange effects like the medicine cat's herbs? Do they know if it's going to rain, to disappear like that? Why do birds make a sound when they fly, and some bugs do, but not all bugs do?" He ran out of breathe and sat down with a thump. "...Oh, and would you like me to go on patrol with you?"

(no fancy formatting for me for now :,) I'll find one later maybe) PipitpawCamp - To Shadepelt ( Tiri ) Pipitpaw stretched his white hind leg out as he yawned, then finished gathering the fluffy dry moss in front of him. He was still dozy, but he reminded himself of the importance of his task whenever his eyelids began to droop. Satisfied with the size of the pile - though not nearly enough, but at the upper limits of what he could carry - he picked in all up and silently slipped his way back down the camp tunnel, then made his way over to the elder's den. He dropped the moss down when he saw Shadepelt emerge, his tail high. "Shadepelt, I brought some new bedding..." Pipitpaw trailed off as he saw the confused pause of the elder. "Shadepelt? Are you okay?"

Goldensong was never really aware of the way she could accidentally fluster her brother, always one to show her affections to the cats she cares about the most. She turns to look over her shoulder to answer Lynxspots when she spots the familiar dark pelt of her apprentice. Her eyes widen and she halts to a stop, suddenly feeling a little embarrassed for not thinking to wake Coldpaw to have him tag along in the first place. "Not sure, I think Aspenspirit probably knows." She answers her littermate's question before approaching her apprentice.
She breaks out into a smile at Coldpaw's bobbing head, and then tries to bite back her chuckles at his never ending barrage of questions, which was nothing new. The golden molly leans down to press her nose to the top of his head, then takes a pawstep back. "Wow, those are all great questions, Coldpaw. I might be able to answer a few of them." Goldensong ponders for a moment before she opens her mouth to answer. "First of all, why are you eating bugs? Second of all, I think they just do. There's not a lot of meat when it comes to bugs, so they just taste bitter with all of their bug guts. Not a lot of bugs go out in the rain because water makes it hard for them to fly, same when it gets cold, so they hibernate like some animals do. They could! Who's to say, really. We could go ask Hazelpool about it. They probably know to hide because they know they'll get wet. Birds call out to let other birds know they're in the area and to stay away. Bugs might make noises for the same reason, and I don't know why some can't make noises." Goldensong feels a little out of breath herself after answering his questions right after the other, but she taps his shoulder with her paw and nods her head towards the entrance tunnel.
"Now let's go before the sun fully comes up and we're officially late on dawn patrol." (also i was thinking the same thing, Teal when you first mentioned that lynxspots had a crush on aspenspirit)

(Yacinthe, happy to replace Turtlesnap with Sunfeather here if Pipitpaw resembles her more!)
Shadepelt with Pipitpaw Crowclan camp @ Yacinthe She turned around to Turtlesnap, looking at the soft dry bedding he carried. "Oh, thank you." Such a considerate young tom. "No, I was just going to visit Duskbreeze's grave. Maybe take some flowers?" That sounded about right. "Some dandelions, perhaps. She always loved burying her face in the seed puffs as a kit." Actually, that was too young of a tom in front of her, but the resemblance was uncanny. Amazing how quickly Pipitpaw was growing, practically an inch overnight.
Soaking up the affection and answers in equal measure, Coldpaw purred. He really was lucky to have Goldensong as a mentor - not only did she not mind questions, if she didn't know, she'd send him to a cat who did, like Hazelpool, or tell him she didn't know. Admitting some things didn't have answers was a lot better than pretending to understand something you didn't, and watching other cats in the clan stumble over answers they were clearly making up as they went along made him want to puff up with indignation.
"I'm not trying to fill up on them," he explained hurriedly. "When I was still in the nursery I'd chase moths," sometimes, when he'd had enough energy, "and they always tasted differently to fresh kill birds. I tried a beetle recently, just to see if they were the same or it was a moth thing. Less powdery." Powdered colour was supposedly important to Owlclan, with the colours for teams he'd been told about. Maybe they used moths for that? The rain thing was interesting. Maybe that was why birds got so much bigger than bugs, even though both were flying things. Avoiding rain would be easier if you were small, so maybe only birds, who could fly in rain but didn't seem to like it, could get bigger. "I might try to bring a bug back to Hazelpool? Or, wait, maybe not. If the border is less safe with the other clans being aggressive, I should focus on staying safe and alert?" He'd have the rest of the day to ask Hazelpool about bugs and medicines. Jumping back to his paws and twining affectionately around his mentor, he waited for the patrol to head out into the world of silence.

(nope, Turtlesnap is good! Just already breaking my heart for poor shadepelt!) PipitpawCamp - To ShadepeltTiri- Pipitpaw almost flinched at the odd look Shadepelt gave him, as though she were not talking to an apprentice. It changed as she spoke, and her gaze finally truly landed on him. "Um, maybe I could come with you? I saw some dandelions near where I found the moss." He offered, worried for the old she-cat if she was planning to leave camp alone. He had not known Duskbreeze very well, but he knew she was beloved by many of his older clanmates like her mother and mate, and had seen where her grave was. He added, a bit hushed, ". . . I'd like to see Turtlesnap and Sunfeather, too." Both grave were quite close. I'll bring them some flowers too.

( Tealraven that'd be perfect, keen for that! I imagine the graves are between camp and tumbling falls? Yacinthe tell me if the stories Shadepelt tells Pipitpaw are okay? Don't want to assume things about your ocs, but he's so young he probably didn't get many stories about his parents from them, right?)
Shadepelt with Pipitpaw Crowclan camp @ Yacinthe "That would be very kind of you little one," Shadepelt murmured, her eyes crinkling up as she smiled. "You remind me a lot of him, you know. Although, I'd hope you develop better sense! When your father was first courting your mother, both of them young and strong and newly warrior named, he came back to camp one day with an entire bouquet of Fire Lilies, bigger than his head and blazing with colour. And we were all astonished when he laid them at Sunfeather's feet. No cat more than Sunfeather, I think! They'd barely ever talked before! Apparently he though silent worship counted as flirting," she purred with laughter. "It all worked out, of course. And she did always love Fire Lilies from him."
As she wrapped up her story, her old pads approached the entrance tunnel. Ducking through the camp's defenses, she felt the sun full on her pelt, and heard the kind young tom behind her, and though her heart ached some, there were also those good things to treasure, companionship and flowers to gather. She turned around, raising her eyebrows to inquire about the apprentice's moss spot.

(It's totally cool, feel free to make up whatever stories you like, it's really funny!) Pipitpaw Outside Camp - to Shadepelt Tiri- Pipitpaw felt his fur burning as he listened to Shadepelt's story. "That sounds like something he'd do." He felt so embarrassed, as though he himself was the one to make a fool of himself in front of the whole clan. Once the embarrassment wore off, however, his tail began to droop. Pipitpaw had not had a chance to know his parents for long. It had only been two moons since their death, only a few days after his apprentice ceremony. It wouldn't be long before he had spent less time with them than he has without. He was glad they were now pushing out of the camp, as he felt to awkward to speak much more. He took the lead, guiding Shadepelt towards the moss spot between the camp entrance and their destination. Around the scraped stones grew at least two different types of dandelions, some small and close to the ground while others towered as tall or even taller than the cats. They were in all stages of bloom, both yellow petals and white cotton. He flicked his tail towards them, bit off a pair of the tall ones that still bore yellow petals, then turned to keep an eye out for predators while Shadepelt picked her own.

Shadepelt with Pipitpaw Between Crowclan camp and tumbling falls @ Yacinthe She took the tallest cotton she could find, and her memories whispered of seasons long ago, taking cotton topped dandelions with long stems for her kits to pounce on. Her beautiful kits. A mouthful gathered, not nearly as much as her daughter deserved, but about as much as she could carry. Her paws drew her onwards, to where so often, too often, duty took her. An elder buried the dead, as was proper, and it was the most powerful and painful of duties left to her.
The spot she'd chosen for Duskbreeze was near the tumbling falls, but not too near, never splashed by water, under dappled shade near a sweet smelling cedar trunk. Ravenswoops had helped her push the thin, flat, awkward rock over the top of the slight mound. Now as Newleaf faded, grass covered the rest, but there was space for her offering on the flat headstone.

Aspenspirit with Goldensong, Lynxspots, & Coldpaw near CrowClan camp @ 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢 , Tealraven , Tiri The fluffy silver and white tabby offered a smile in greeting to her friend's apprentice, amusement shimmering in her gaze at his rapid-fire questions. Coldpaw had proven to be a very curious soul with plenty of vigor. The young tom could gnaw your ear off with his quest for knowledge but Aspenspirit couldn't help but find that endearing. Goldensong had wonderful patience and handled her inquisitive apprentice with admirable skill.
Her own trainee padded by with Shadepelt, assisting the elder with some sort of task. Pipitpaw had a wonderfully kind heart. After allowing her friend to answer Coldpaw's questions, Aspenspirit turned and led her patrol through the entrance tunnel.
The cool stone beneath her paws and the hardpacked earth that brushed her sides was familiar instead of claustrophobic. The lack of light didn't bother her either, the tunnel was smooth after being worn down after seasons of use. Lynxspots' question echoed in the small space and the warrior narrowed her eyes thoughtfully. "We're off to the OwlClan border. Someone mentioned Ferncurl already sent out a group to the SwanClan border," Aspenspirit replied, noticing the slight change in the stale air.
They were nearing the exit. A few more paw-steps and the molly spilled out into the coniferous forest. The tang of pine needles and dew covered grass stung her nose, the world bursting into vibrant color. With her tail, she signaled for the group to head northwest, towards the border they shared with OwlClan.

- - - ( not to be dramatic but i would maybe die for coldpaw ) - - - LYNXSPOTS leaving crowclan camp / with goldensong, aspenspirit & coldpaw Lynxspots paused again in the entrance tunnel, nearly bumping into Goldensong, who had stopped abruptly in front of him. The pale golden molly swung her head around to greet her apprentice. He sidled out of the way as she trotted over to answer his questions. Lynxspots watched the conversation with exasperated affection. They were so alike, mentor and apprentice; he recalled Goldensong peppering him and, when he failed to answer, her own mentor with as many questions during their apprenticeship. Cardinalstar had chosen well.
Lynxspots wondered when he'd get to have his own apprentice. Would Cardinalstar even think to assign one to him, knowing how pathetic he was in the skill of combat their Clan held so dear? I probably don't deserve the honor of training a 'paw, he thought glumly.
Evidently satisfied that she'd answered his questions, Goldensong rejoined the patrol, with Coldpaw scampering after her. Lynxspots exchanged an amused look with Aspenspirit, then fell into formation behind the silver molly as she guided them through the tunnel. Silence fell over the group as they emerged into a gloriously green morning. The sweetly spicy scent of pine wafted over them, the breeze cool and refreshing on Lynxspots' face after spending the night in the cavern. He smiled and turned at Aspenspirit's signal, content to let someone else take the lead for awhile.
RAVENSWOOP tumbling falls / with shadepelt & pipitpaw After a moment, the vicious anger subsided, and she sheathed her claws with a sigh. Even anger was preferable to the nothingness she experienced most days. Now, more than anything else, she just felt... empty. Flat. None of the things that used to interest her could hold her attention anymore. Ravenswoop leaned down to pick up the squirrel by its neck and turned away. She padded through the pines without purpose, simply focusing on breathing deeply and putting one paw in front of the other. Mindfulness, Hazelpool had called it. The practice of clearing one's head of distractions and worries and being fully in the present. Ravenswoop had scoffed at the idea to begin with, but it was often the only way she managed to find peace these days.
A low rumble began to permeate the air, drawing Ravenswoop's attention after allowing herself to sink into the quiet of the early morning forest. She swiveled her ears toward the sound. As she neared the source, the rumble resolved itself into the sound of water tumbling down a rockface. In her careless wandering, she had arrived at the Tumbling Falls.
Because of course she had. Without even thinking, her paws had brought her to Duskbreeze. Ravenswoop hesitated, watching the fine mist from the falls glitter with a thousand shades of color, shimmering like a tiny rainbow in the sunlight. Then she gave in and padded slowly over to the headstone she had chosen with Shadepelt just a few moons ago. She lay down beside the stone with the squirrel between her paws. Wish you were here, love. She reached out and gently brushed the stone with her tail before bowing her head and beginning to eat.
About halfway through the meal, voices reached her ears. In a flash Ravenswoop was on her feet, ears alert, every muscle in her body tense. She felt her hackles lift along her spine and a soft growl rumble in her throat. CrowClan's Vow of Silence outside of camp could mean only one thing: intruders! She watched and waited for a long, anxious moment, and finally, two figures came into view. She narrowed her eyes, puzzled. Wait. Those are CrowClan cats. She sat down as Shadepelt and Pipitpaw approached, both chatting away without a care in the world.

Pipitpaw Between Camp and Tumbling Falls - To Shadepelt and RavenswoopTiri & Tealraven - Pipitpaw slowed pushing off to the side so that Shadepelt could go to her daughter's grave. He waited patiently, not all too eager to go face the proof of his parent's departure, even if he had accepted it by now. Instead, he kept his eye out while the elder mourned. His hair raised as he caught a cat's scent on the breeze, but calmed as he recognized his own clan's scent. Who is it, though? I can't smell it past these flowers. He looked about, trying to find who else was there.
