ABOUT Easily the most spiritual and proud of the three clans. SwanClan cats are devout followers of StarClan and the Warrior Code. The clan has a reputation for being arrogant and even a bit uptight. They worship their ancestors and strive to achieve order and grace. Though these cats have a great capacity for healing, they're unafraid to jump into conflicts.
SwanClan cats are encouraged to pray often and reflect on the past. Their ancestors are always watching, and the cats often hold a deep sense of responsibility. All cats are taught to heal basic wounds to better aid their clan-mates. Medicine cats are regarded as powerful members of the clan and help the leader to make decisions by the will of StarClan.
Their deep connection StarClan inspires a great deal of pride within the clan. In extreme cases, these cats can believe they're the "chosen" clan. They are taught to hide weaknesses and are greatly concerned with vanity. To appear bedraggled or dirty would be a smudge on the clan's reputation. SwanClan aren't the best at asking for help when the need it or admitting wrongdoings.
In appearance, SwanClan cats are most commonly black, white, or gray. Some cats sport tuxedo patterns or patches of color. Heterochromia runs through the clan, usually in the form of two completely different eye colors. They normally sport glossy, sleek coats and long, graceful frames. Short coats and tails are common as well. CUSTOMS ┇Star Touched ┇
- The first recorded star touched is Oddstar. He was a devout cat who had a connection to StarClan that went beyond even the medicine cat's own. Due to this and his strange eyes - one being yellow and the other blue - the tom was believed to be "touched" by StarClan.
Every cat with heterochromia that came after him has been considered star touched. These cats are treated with great respect amongst the clan, often chosen for positions of power, like leader or medicine cat. It's considered a high blessing amongst the clan.
┇Soulmates ┇
- From the very beginning of Swanstar's ruling, Dappleface, Swanclan's first medicine cat, had an uncanny relationship with their starry ancestors. With her influence, the clan has become devoted to this custom that brings matched pairs of cats together through the will of Starclan.
Once becoming a full medicine cat of Swanclan, a cat will start receiving dreams and whispers from Starclan showing them who belongs together. It's up to them to relay these bonded pairs to the clan, so that they may start to process of courtship, eventually leading to becoming mates.
Bonded pairs are assigned at random. Some cats are matched when they're as young as kits, and in uncommon cases, as old as elders. While it is a great honor to be given a soulmate, it is extremely taboo if a mated pair split off and brings dishonor to both cats involved, and their kits if they had any.
To be with someone who isn't your soulmate is considered to be an act against Starclan, and in extreme circumstances has been used to chase cats out of the clan. Swanclan cats are expected to remain unmated until they've been given a soulmate.
┇Newleaf Half-Moon ┇
- On the first half-moon of Newleaf, the anniversary of Dappleface's death, the clan takes the time to celebrate their healers. The day is spent gathering herbs and supplies. Prey is caught and the medicine cats get the first pick. At dusk, the clan holds a silent vigil until moon-high, believing this to help bring them closer to their ancestors.
TERRITORY SwanClan settled into a territory with sparce trees. Rolling hills and golden wheat fields, bisected by an abundance of streams and brooks. The few trees that do pop up in their territory are mainly poplar, birch, and a few aspen trees near the CrowClan border. There aren't many spots for shade, the clan relies on swimming to cool them down during warmer moons. The highest part of the territory is where they've made their camp.
┇Odd Brook┇ Named after the clan's second leader, Oddstar, who was the first Star Touched. This stream is the best place in SwanClan to fish or swim. The water is deep enough to offer a wide variety of fish and the current is slow enough that cats aren't swept away as easily. This is the brook that flows into the pool at the northern side of the abandoned camp.
┇Abandoned Camp┇ This had been the camp until a horrible flood seasons ago. Odd Brook ends in a small waterfall that empties into a shallow pool. The plateau beside it is covered in near constant mist and the ground is slick with moss and condensation. Now this area is used for battle training and swimming is taught in the deeper sections of the pool.
┇Rabbit Tunnels┇ To the east of camp, rabbit burrows and tunnels run underneath the ground. The felines have set traps beside the entrances in order to more easily catch prey. The clan also uses the tunnels as secret passages to travel quickly to the Old Two-leg Nest and camp or avoid harsh weather conditions. Cave-ins are always possible and dangerous.
┇Old Two-leg Nest┇ Near the eastern border is an old two-leg shed, that was used to house farming tools. It's on the edge of the wheat field and surrounded by all kinds of herbs. One has to be wary of the rats that like to hide out in the rotting wooden shack. Apprentices enjoy the challenge of climbing the rickety shelves to fetch cobwebs.
┇Swan Lake┇ Along the southeastern edge of SwanClan's territory is a wide lake. The bank is made of pebbles and sand. Reeds, cattails, and tall grasses make it easy for swans and ducks to nest in. The sunshine turns the water a beautiful mix of gold and blue, which makes this the prime spot for romance. Only the most advanced swimmers should attempt to swim here.
┇Mossy Stones┇ A few tail-lengths from the OwlClan border there is a clearing full of stones that are covered in moss. Catmint grows here in abundance and prey is usually simple to find. Due to the high number of resources and the fact that it sits next to the border, it's always been a contended spot between them. Formerly belonged to OwlClan.
C A M P At the top of a steep hill, the ground flattens out into a grassy plateau. The edges are dotted with boxwood, heather, and gorse. Their main defense is the sharp slope surrounding them on all sides and the emergency tunnel that takes them to the main hub of the rabbit tunnels. A single tree stump, Sky Perch, sits in the center of the clearing and this is where meetings are called. The fresh-kill pile is in a wide burrow the clan has dug out near the main entrance - which is a gap between two gorse bushes. The dens line the perimeter of the camp and are built from brush and large stones. The medicine den is the only exception, in a deep crevice.

Otterfrost with open Odd Brook @ Tag
The water was a bit chilly this morning, the sun had not been out long enough to give the depths any warmth. Otterfrost didn't mind, he embraced the cold and allowed it to seep into his fur. The shock helped wake him up, as he swam closer to the far bank. The tom lifted himself from the water, icy rivulets dripping down onto the pebbles below.
He hadn't decided to do any fishing, more focused instead on loosening the tightness in his shoulders. The smoke and white warrior could only assume he'd slept wrong, unused to the stiffness. It couldn't possibly be those intense drills he'd run through with a few of the apprentices yesterday... Shrugging, he settled down on the bank, letting the sun bring heat back into his coat.
Tanglesplash with open in camp @ Tag
Tanglesplash was awake and fighting with his coat, for which he was aptly named. There were always some sort of knots or tangles, which his mother had found amusing. The tuxedo tom did not. Annoyance turned his heterochromatic eyes into chips of blue and gold ice. After a particularly harsh tug, the tom gave an irritated hiss. This was useless.
Shellpaw with open in camp @ Tag
Shellpaw slid back into camp between the two gorse bushes, her whiskers wilted. The past two moons she'd woken up before dawn and padded out to the far eastern border, staring out across the cornfield as though she'd be able to catch a flash of blue-gray fur amongst the stalks. It never happened and the apprentice returned to camp alone, a little more heartbroken every time.
Jaypaw was really gone. He was never coming back. Grief and anger warred in her chest, causing a pit to open up in her stomach. Shellpaw let out a tired sigh, settling down beside the apprentice's den. "It's time to give up," she whispered to herself, blue eyes watering. There had been a time where she was so sure the two of them were going to end up bonded... what a joke. Just like love.
Lilacwing with open in the nursery @ Tag
To say she felt like she was ready to pop, would be an understatement. Lilacwing had never felt so... large and heavy in her life. She took some sharp, short breaths as she tired to roll onto her paws. Her stomach gave a low growl and the queen rolled those yellow-green eyes in response. Always hungry, always sore... Pregnancy was no walk along the banks. Not that Lilacwing would ever complain. That would be unimaginable.

sootfall - swanclan camp with tanglesplash Sootfall strolled across the grass toward the burrow where the prey was kept and, momentarily distracted, paused to examine his reflection in a small puddle. He'd already stepped through his morning grooming routine, but even he was not perfect, and he occasionally neglected a spot here or there. He tilted his head, pursed his lips, and turned from side to side. He eyed a disheveled clump of fur on his right flank and licked it smooth. With a nod and a satisfied flick of his ear, he continued on his way. As he approached the burrow, he noticed the freshkill pile was still sparse; only a few small fish and one pathetic robin remained. The dawn patrol must not have returned yet. Dissatisfied with his choices, he headed for the camp entrance, calling out to Tanglesplash as he padded by. "Hail, Tanglesplash! Lovely morning, isn't it?" The black-and-white tom was busy attacking his unruly fur, heterochromic eyes glittering with irritation. Despite his best efforts, Tanglesplash seemed unable to get his messy coat totally under control; Sootfall couldn't relate. His golden eyes glimmered with mirth. "Quit wrestling your pelt into submission and come hunting with me!"
willowpaw - swanclan camp; open Willowpaw, ever an early riser, was up before the other apprentices. Again. This time she had woken shortly after her sister slipped out to go moon after her lost love. She'd contemplated going with her, but after getting caught sneaking out of camp once, she didn't want to risk it again. Willowpaw really wasn't a fan of prying ticks off of elders. Also, her legs got all twitchy if she stood still for too long. Instead, she paced restlessly outside the apprentices' den, tail whisking from side to side. She half-listened to the idle chatter of her Clanmates as they began to stir and move about the camp, waiting for her mentor to come pick her up or for the other apprentices to join her or for something else interesting to happen.

A voice reached his ears, in the midst of his frustration, one that was much too boisterous this early in the morning. His narrowed gaze landed on the silver tabby, his tail flicking from side to side behind him. Of course, it was Sootfall. The charming hopeless romantic often grated on his nerves.
How could a tom be so... cheerful? The sun still hung low over the horizon. The star touched warrior let out a long suffering sigh. If he didn't respond, Sootfall would never let him live down his "rude" behavior. Most of his clan-mates preferred to avoid him. He supposed he should be grateful that the silver-colored tom wanted his company. While his cool distance kept him protected, it also left him without many friends. Even he could be lonely from time to time.
"It's a useless pursuit anyway," he grumbled, mostly to himself. His black and white coat was most definitely a lost cause. Stretching up onto his paws, Tanglesplash padded after the tabby cat, quickly catching up to him. "Why're you up so early anyway?" he snapped, tilting his head ever so slightly. Inside, he was almost relieved to have something to do. Sitting around camp, twiddling his paws wasn't the tom's idea of a good time.

Right on cue, a certain silvery tabby waltzes his way into the nursery carryig a lean trout in his mouth. The sight of his mate easily made his heart flutter, but even upon first glance he could tell that she was struggling. Gingerly placing the fish onto the floor, Goosemask is instantly at Lilacwing's side, helping her ease on to her paws.
"Easy now," the handsome tom said with a chuckle that he was unable to bite back. A purr begins deep in his throat, and once the plump queen was situated, he would offer her the trout he'd brought with him. "I could practically hear your stomach growling all the way from the warrior's den! Starting to think that maybe I should just stay in here with you, just in case the uh... well in case our..." Goosemask isn't sure why but he's starting to become flustered. His black-tipped tail flickers and he tries to bury the fluttering feelings as he licks the top of pale tabby's head.
"It's gonna be any day now, huh?"
Littlefin with open mossy stones @ Tag
Littlefin wiggles her haunches as she stalks through the tall grass surrounding the mossy stones. Green eyes settle on brown rabbit as it sits back to clean its ears. Her chin nearly touches her paws as she stills for a moment, the only sensation she can focus on is her heartbeat resonating through her ears. Taking a slow inhale, the small molly holds her breath as she finally leaps forward and lands squarely on the rabbit. It's a direct hit. Before it can come to its senses and scramble away, she leans down and deals a lethal bite and shake.
A proud expression crosses her features and she goes about burying her kill before raising her head to scent anymore prey. All she really gets is the old, lingering scents of OwlClan cats. Her ears twitch in alert, doing a quick scan of the area even though she knows that there weren't any rival cats nearby. Littlefin makes a mental note to say something to Aloestar when she gets back. "Give up on what?" Reedpaw asks with a yawn, approaching the silvery tabby. He'd just emerged from the apprentice's den right after his sister, who had also woken him up moments ago. His tail lashes to the side, an obvious curiosity flooding those bright yellow eyes of his.
The young tom wasn't dumb, he could infer what Shellpaw was talking about, but he wanted to hear it from her. Reedpaw had been something of a shoulder for the other apprentice to cry on, knowing how hard she'd taken Jaypaw's abandonment. It made him more angry than anything. Not just because he'd turned his back on his clan, but Reedpaw couldn't forgive how much hurt he'd caused his friend. He cared about Shellpaw, maybe more than the both of them realized. Sleep still hung off of Irispaw like a sheet, her paws dragging along the ground as she left the apprentices den. It had been a struggle to wake Reedpaw up, but she'd somehow managed. She watches as her brother goes to check up on an upset-looking Shellpaw, then takes a survey of the rest of the camp's clearing. Her bi colored eyes linger on Tanglesplash, tempted to go up to the older tom before she notices Sootfall beating her to it. That was alright, she didn't feel like interacting much with anyone. That is, until she spots Willowpaw pacing about.
"You keep that up long enough and you're gonna make a ditch." Irispaw didn't look annoyed, but she sure sounded like it. That was just the way she came off, her tone always sounding rather dry and monotonous.

sootfall - swanclan camp with tanglesplash "Useless, perhaps," Sootfall echoed, "but if you ask me, the added scruffiness only contributes to your... roguish charm." His grin widened, delighted that he had convinced the surly warrior to join him. He took no offense to Tanglesplash's attitude; he knew it wasn't personal, for the tom was like that with most everyone. If Tanglesplash, star-touched, deemed you worthy of his time, you were a special cat indeed. The black-and-white warrior didn't suffer fools lightly. Fortunately, Sootfall was no such fool. "In all honesty, I'm up because my stomach decided I should be up," he replied. "I'd rather still be in my nest, but there's no arguing with an empty belly!" He paused by the entrance, sweeping his gaze around the camp to see if there were any others he could drag along with him. Not spotting anyone, he shrugged and made for the gap in the two gorse bushes that led out of camp. He glanced over at Tanglesplash. "What about you? You are no early riser, either, if I recall."
willowpaw - swanclan camp with irispaw Willowpaw halted mid-stride, stopping so abruptly she nearly tumbled over her front paws. She cast her eyes about for the voice who had disturbed her and spotted a sleepy-looking Irispaw wavering by the apprentices' den. The molly looked as though she'd just woken up. Irispaw's irritated comment bounced right off of Willowpaw like a mossball swatted around by kits. "I know, I know," said Willowpaw, wrinkling her nose. "You know I can't help it!" She padded over to bump noses with her fellow apprentice in greeting, but forgot to take a step back, leaving little space between them. She peered past Irispaw into the gloom of the apprentices' den, trying to spot Irispaw's brother. "Hey, where's Reedpaw? Wait, let me guess: wandering around after Shellpaw." She turned her head, and sure enough, Shellpaw had just returned, appearing disappointed once again. Reedpaw had joined her shortly thereafter, and the two lingered awkwardly near the camp entrance. Willowpaw rolled her eyes at Irispaw. Those two! "So, hey, I've been thinking about that battle move the warriors showed us during our last training session -- you know the one? -- and I still haven't been able to get it right." She shifted her weight restlessly from one paw to the other. Then her eyes lit up: "Maybe you could help me practice! Do you remember how it goes?"

Lilacwing with Goosemask in the nursery @ 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢 The dusty brown tabby felt a mixture of embarrassment and relief when her mate padded into the nursery, food in his jaws. She hadn't wanted to worry her mate, seeing as she should be able to get to her paws by herself! Her swollen stomach brushed the grassy ground beneath her and Lilacwing took a single moment to lean against Goosemask's side for support. Then she straightened, trying to ignore the ache in her spine.
Heat seared her ears at his comment, especially since her stomach chose that moment to let out another growl. "I-I feel like I'm eating enough for the whole clan..." she mewed quietly, before dipping her chin to lick at her chest fur. Lilacwing despised being so reliant on everyone, used to being the cat that others depended on. She may not have the social prowess of her mate, but she had always been a responsible warrior. She often volunteered for the jobs others didn't want to do, anything to help.
With her stomach, all she could do these days was lay around and wait. "Cloudberry said something like that," the queen agreed, peering up into her mate's orange eyes. A soft, quiet purr rumbled in her throat as she gazed at her pair. "Can we... do you want to eat outside? It's a bit stuffy in here.." Lilacwing offered, her mouth watering at the scent of trout. Fish of almost any kind had always been her preferred prey.
Shellpaw with Reedpaw in camp @ 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢 Her claws slid through the loose dirt beneath her, frustration eating away her sorrows. The nerve of that backstabbing, no good... Her ears flattened in her ire, blue eyes glittering menacingly. She'd always been a hopeless romantic, a fact her sister had gently teased her of multiple times. Not anymore. For moons she had been more focused on her training than silly relationships.
Yet, the apprentice still went out in search of Jaypaw most mornings. That all ended now. He wasn't going to come back and sweep Shellpaw off her paws. Even if he did return, the patched molly felt like she'd likely claw his ears off rather than greet him with heartfelt tears. He didn't deserve her mooning over him. Any cat who left the clan was a traitor.
Reedpaw's yawned words reached her ears and the apprentice shifted to face him, blue eyes gaining a bit of their shine back. Her friend had been a solid rock throughout this whole experience and Shellpaw could never thank him enough. "I think I'll try and sleep in tomorrow... if my mentor doesn't get to me first," she said in reply, a self-deprecating smile slipping across her maw. "I'm going to stop being such a silly fish-brain over someone who doesn't deserve it."
The silver and white molly have herself a quick shake, as though physically ridding herself of her failed relationship. She offered a more genuine smile, eager to change the subject. "How did you sleep? I think I woke before Willowpaw today, by some miracle!" she joked, her eyes flashing to her littermate briefly. She'd have to apologize to her and Reedpaw for the ordeal she'd put them through. The star touched tom had braced himself for some sort of insult, a cutting reply already on the tip of his tongue. He should have known better, this was Sootfall after all. The charming - albeit a bit backhanded - compliment took Tanglesplash completely off guard. His jaw opened and then snapped shut, a strange heat spreading to his ears. Was.. was he getting embarrassed? Surely not! "It's that rogue charm that gets me all my friends," he quipped sarcastically with a roll of his eyes.
He carefully picked his way down the steep slope, his paws easily finding paw-holds worn in by generations of SwanClan cats. A short, unexpected laugh left the tom, and he shook his head at the younger warrior. "Only you would attempt to reason with your stomach, Sootfall," Tanglesplash said, pausing to leap the rest of the distance, landing on the soft grassy hill. "Couldn't sleep for whatever reason, likely Otterfrost's snoring," he replied, only half-convinced himself. Something had kept him from falling asleep last night, but he wasn't sure what.
"Are we hunting or fishing?" he asked, pausing at the much more gentle incline that lead into the heart of their hunting grounds. Tanglesplash didn't mind either, as long as it kept him busy. He felt like if he lingered in one spot too long the tiredness would crash down on him like a heavy current. [ Sootfall: is his natural, charming self Tanglesplash: slight gay panic ]

(I don't have a fancy layout like you guys, sorry. little blu ♥ 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢We can do something with Laketail and Otterfrost if you like! I'll also jump in with Reedpaw.) --- Bramblewing approached Reedpaw, ready to tell her apprentice the plan for the day. The black molly halted as she noticed another cat next to Reedpaw: Shellpaw. Sympathy thrummed at Bramblewing's heartstrings -- the two young cats had been through a lot, losing Jaypaw. Bramblewing sat down and wrapped her tail over her paws, deciding to give Reedpaw and Shellpaw a few moments together before taking Reedpaw away for training. Laketail groomed his fur with long strokes of his tongue. He kept one eye on Otterfrost, ready to help if anything went wrong in the water. The gray and white tomcat picked bits of nesting out of his fluffy pelt and gave it thorough licks. He watched, purring with amusement, as Otterfrost flopped on the bank. "If you needed help, you could have asked," he meowed to the other tomcat.

- - - ( sootfall canonically has a personal agenda to make at least one cat gay panic every day ) - - - sootfall - swanclan territory with tanglesplash Chuckling, Sootfall threw his companion an amused sideways glance, pleased and surprised that Tanglesplash had rolled with the backhanded compliment instead of dismissing it. The fact that the star-touched tom had been rendered momentarily speechless by the comment pleased him further. "Why else would you be so popular, you handsome devil, you?" He teased, forging ahead down the path. The silver tabby descended the steep slope with the confidence of one who had done it a thousand times. His paws slid easily into the tracks left by countless generations before him. He could probably make this climb with his eyes closed. "Otterfrost really ought to look into getting his own separate den, the poor dear," he mewed conversationally. "I'd be willing to help construct it if it gets him further away from me. Beauty sleep is important for some of us." Sootfall paused beside Tanglesplash as they reached the bottom of the slope. It was still early and the breeze still brisk, but the air had a fuzzy, tepid quality to it that suggested it would get much warmer today. The first hints of Greenleaf were beginning to appear in the milder weather and the birdsong that floated over the rolling golden hills. It really was turning into a gorgeous morning. "Hmm. Odd Brook?" He jerked his chin in the stream's general direction. He'd like to be close to water if there was a chance of the day growing warmer.

Goosemask knew his mate well, so he could practically feel her inner struggle from having to rely on others while being unable to offer any help in return. There was a part of him that was glad that was the case, having long given up on trying to get Lilacwing to put herself first. He couldn't help but wonder if that's why StarClan paired them up, because if she wasn't going to, then he would be the one making sure she that she ate that day, or was getting enough sleep. Now more than ever was Goosemask at her side.
He chuckles softly, obviously amused by her sheepishness, then leans forward and licks between her ears. "Well, just think of it as you feeding the kits, then. They need to grow big and strong too. You're practically feeding a mini clan inside of your belly!" His heart swells with pride as he's reminded that this was his mate, the cat he loved most and held dearly. And she was carrying their kits. Why, it was hard enough to not cheer every single day.
His expression brightens when Lilacwing meets his gaze, nodding eagerly and already excited to spend the night with his mate. It would make him feel more comfortable anyways, the nursery wasn't packed full of other cats to watch over the queen for him. "Of course we can eat outside! C'mon, we'll go at your pace." Goosemask waits for her to rise, staying close to her side and picking up the trout once again.
Reedpaw with Shellpaw mentions Bramblewing in camp @ little blu ♥ When he finally gets close enough, Reedpaw would greet her by pressing his nose briefly to her cheek. It was good to see her blue eyes without much of the sadness behind them, trying not to remember the devastated look she wore after learning on Jaypaw's disappearance. He takes a respectful pawstep back, giving her some space as she dances around giving him a direct answer. Thought, Reedpaw was smart enough to read between the lines.
"Yeah? Sleeping in might do you some good." He says simply, offering a smile that only tenses when he notices her self-deprecating one. The young tom lets out a sigh and runs his tail-tip along her flank. "Shellpaw, you're not fish-brained, trust me." Reedpaw feels like maybe he should say more, but doesn't.
Before she changes the subject, his yellow eyes focus just past her and notice Bramblewing starting to approach them. His expression hardens, not quite ready to end his conversation with Shellpaw, but then notices his mentor hanging back. He gives an appreciative nod and turns his attention back on his fellow apprentice.
"Wow, before Willowpaw, huh? That's quite a feat." Reedpaw's eyes shine with amusement, more than happy for the subject change if it meant taking her mind off of Jaypaw. "I slept really well, actually. Though I kind of ended up in Irispaw's nest again and I woke up to her shoving me away. Which, yknow, is granted, but she kicked me really hard!" He pouts now, lowering his head to make himself look extra pathetic, if only to get a better reaction from the molly. There's a twitch at Irispaw's maw as she watches Willowpaw nearly biff it from stopping so suddenly. It was amusing, to say the least. What she wasn't prepared for was the gray molly's greeting, eyes going wide and she tries to shrink away the closer she gets. Heat rises up her pelt and to the very tips of her ears as her denmate keeps the closeness between them, noticing that she didn't move back.
In the time that it takes Willowpaw to look for Reedpaw, she would've moved back and put some space between them, even letting out a short huff. Her tail lashes to the side, obviously looking annoyed from how flustered she'd gotten. She already had to deal with waking up to her brother hogging her nest, she didn't need someone else in her personal space. Irispaw doesn't warrant a look over her shoulder where she's sure to see their siblings conversing, knowing more about the drama than she'd like to.
She's almost tempted to just get up and leave, wondering if she left now then maybe she'd be able to catch up to Sootfall and Tanglesplash, who she noticed were leaving the camp. But, Willowpaw continued on, asking her something about their training. The darker gray molly lets out a heavy sigh and finally brings her attention back to the more bubbly apprentice.
"No, Willowpaw, I don't know the one. We were taught three different moves last session, so you'll have to be more specific than that." She responds flatly, watching the way that she swayed side to side. "But sure, I can help you practice."
(wow sorry that took ages to respond to. my brain really wanted to stall for as long as possible for no good reason)

Silverdawn: Camp Open
Silverdawn carefully leaves her den and takes a moment to stretch her limbs. After stretching, she settles down in her haunches and begins to slowly groom her fur. She wasn't in a big hurry and wanted to take her time. If not assigned to any patrols, she would go on her usual walks and do some hunting on her own. Later on, she would check up on Goosemask and his mate Lilacwing.
She knew Goosemask could take care of himself, but she couldn't help but constantly worry. Losing Troutsplash had been really hard and while she had moved on, she still couldn't help but think about him. Still, she couldn't wait for her grandkits to be born. Silverdawn had every intention to spoil them.

Otterfrost with Laketail at the Odd Brook @ Darkflower Otterfrost shot a blank, droll glance at the younger warrior, his right ear twitching. "You think you're real cute, don't ya?" his dry sarcasm practically eradicated the moisture on his coat. He got to his paws again, taking a few steps closer to Laketail before giving his pelt a firm shake. The look of quiet satisfaction on his face when he saw the droplets land on the silver hued pelt, proved that it had been intentional.
"You offered to tag along to swim, you know," he mentioned casually, lifting a paw and giving it a lick. The older warrior had been all set to head out on his own this morning, but if Laketail wanted to tag along, who was he to stop him? The breeze that rushed through his soaked fur gave him a chill. It was growing closer to Greenleaf every sunrise but it that Newleaf bite had yet to leave the area.
Tanglesplash with Sootfall near camp @ Tealraven Right. Tanglesplash shook his head at the ludicrous idea, his eyes rolling so hard they could've tumbled right from his skull. His clanmates generally held him at a distance, which the tom couldn't say he didn't prefer. If cats got too close, they could hurt and betray. But popular, the star touched was definitely not. "That's me, the clan heartthrob," he snarked, eyes narrowing on the ground beneath his paws.
Another eyeroll and a short scoff, the tuxedo tom lifting his gaze so that it roved analytically over Sootfall's coat. "You know, I was just going to say something about you looking a little more haggard this morning," he tossed an increasingly sarcastic smile at the other warrior. Tanglesplash knew his mouth was part of the reason he didn't have many friends and his cold, distant demeanor certainly didn't help.
He enjoyed the brief silence while Sootfall deliberated, tilting his chin up to catch the wind. A long coat made for a miserable Greenleaf and the tom couldn't exactly say he was excited for the hot weather. Though the warmth made for a more refreshing swim, so there was at least that. Speaking of swimming, Tanglesplash dipped his head in quiet agreement. "Yeah, that's probably not a terrible idea."
Lilacwing with Goosemask in camp @ 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢 The way Goosemask could show her casual affection still flustered Lilacwing, even after all these moons. The two had been paired up since late in their apprenticeship and even before that the two had been best friends. Now the handsome silver tabby was her mate and the she-cat couldn't help thanking her ancestors every chance she got. She reached up to touch her nose to his, before turning away quickly, as though embarrassed by her own actions.
"You're right... though I'm not sure.. how much stronger they need to get. They're definitely going to be... fierce warriors," she managed between gasps, her kittens kicking and shifting, knocking the wind right from her lungs. Lilacwing took a few deep, centering breaths and began to waddle towards the entrance to the nursery, determination in her eyes. The pain and discomfort would all be worth it when they welcomed their little ones into the world.
She flashes a soft smile in Goosemask's direction, allowing herself to lean against his flank, trying to push down her worries that she was too heavy or made walking awkward. "Thank you, Goosemask. It'll be nice to sit outside and get some fresh air," she mewed quietly. The pale tabby took a deep, restoring breath once out in the sunshine, her eyes sliding closed in an expression of pure bliss. With careful movements, she settled herself back down, laying more on her side so that her belly could rest comfortably.
Shellpaw with Reedpaw mentions Bramblewing in camp @ 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢 Shellpaw wondered if she'd ever felt such a powerful surge or relief and gratitude. Reedpaw hadn't called her out, instead just supporting her in that quiet way often did. The silver and white apprentice offered a sunnier smile, straightening her shoulders as though his words had given her a burst of inner strength. Kind words really could be priceless.
His tail running down her spine, though a bit startling, was also a great comfort. Though she shook her head slightly, disagreeing with his words. "No. I have been a fish-brain, mooning over such a..." she couldn't even get the words out. Never again. I'll never let myself be hurt like this again, she silently promised.
Her blue gaze follows his when it shifts, catching sight of Bramblewing sitting nearby. Her ears instantly felt a bit warm and she struggled to focus on the conversation with Reedpaw. "Ha, yeah, Irispaw definitely has a nasty kick. I think she knocked the sense out of me yesterday when we trained with Otterfrost," she laughed, lifting herself back onto her paws. She didn't want to impose upon Reedpaw anymore than she already had, nudging her shoulder against his with easy familiarity.
"I think Bramblewing is waiting for you. I won't get in the way of your training!" Shellpaw mewed, flicking her tail in the older molly's direction. She turned and began to pad away, either to go find her own mentor or to chat with the other apprentices, but paused a few tail-lengths away. Her mind racing to find the words.
She hesitated for a long moment, her paws shifting in the grass. "Reedpaw... I'm sorry... and thank you," the she-cat finally said, her blue eyes locking on his briefly. The other apprentice hadn't needed to put up with her moping, friend or no. With a wave of her tail, Shellpaw continued on her way. [ Sootfall is my hero. xD also, sorry Hawk, i don't have any characters free... but maybe Silver could come eat with Goose and Lilac? or i made her the mentor of Irispaw? ]

little blu ♥, 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢Laketail leaped back as water splashed his pelt. "I happen to think I'm very cute," he shot back playfully. He stretched out in the grass, mirroring Otterfrost by grooming one of his own paws. He felt a little awkward talking about himself like that, especially in front of an older warrior, so he put up what he hoped was a nonchalant air as he changed the subject. "We're overdue for some rain. I'm no medicine cat, but even I've noticed the plants around here are starting to look pitiful." Bramblewing's jaws gaped in a yawn. The black molly waited patiently for her apprentice, lifting a hind leg to scratch at her ear. She noticed through a slitted eye that Shellpaw had gestured toward her; perhaps the apprentices were parting ways for the day, ready to start their training. She remembered being so eager as an apprentice, so ready to learn whatever she could; she hated that emotional turmoil had disrupted these young cats' lives like this.

Goosemask's eyes grow comically large when he feels the wet press of Lilacwing's nose against his. It's not often that she's the one initiating affection, but it always left him pleasantly surprised and purring up a storm. Though, watching the molly struggle was definitely something he was still getting used to this late in her pregnancy. He wished, more than anything, that he could take on some of her discomfort. Instead he tried to make up for it by bringing her prey, grooming her fur, making sure her nest was extra comfy. He knew that he could be a bit overbearing, but he was just grateful Lilacwing was allowing him to do so. "They're really putting up a fight, huh? I think they're just excited to meet us. I know I am."
The silver and black tom is right by her side, practically escorting her out of the nursery and waiting until she made herself comfortable before he settled himself behind her, so that she could lean on him as she laid down. "Whatever you need, dear. I'm here to provide." He says with a soft chuckle, placing the trout before her. The purr remains rumbling in his chest, and he takes a moment to look over the clearing.
Shining, amber eyes quickly find the silvery gray pelt of his mother, and he easily perks up. "Silverdawn! Come sit with us!" He calls over to his mother, leaning his head away so he just wasn't yelling into his mate's ear. Reedpaw's expression falls when he doesn't get the kind of response he expected from Shellpaw, or more like the one he wanted. He sits up straighter, feeling a little silly for behaving in such a kitish way in front of his friend. "Oh, yeah, I guess she is." He says with a forced smile, really not wanting his conversation with the she-cat to end. For once he'd rather set aside his training to spend a few moments longer with Shellpaw.
He leans into the nudge she gives him, lifting to his own paws and watching her leave. Reedpaw is about to head towards his mentor when he notices the hesitation from the molly. His expression warms at her words and he just gives a knowing nod. "I'll see you later, Shellpaw." He waits until she leaves before he makes his way over to Bramblewing, the excitement for whatever she had planned today finally showing.
"Good morning, Bramblewing!" Reedpaw greets the warrior with a respectful nod, and leans in to press his nose against her shoulder. "What are we doing today?" He steps back, fur practically buzzing as he realizes he's only a moon away from his assessment. He couldn't wait to become a warrior with his sister, and their friends.

Otterfrost with Laketail at the Odd Brook @ Darkflower The older tom couldn't help but roll his eyes at Laketail's response, his tail flicking behind him. Otterfrost lifted his face to the sky, eyeing the cloudless blue with a sort of contempt. "I agree, the weather has been a bit too nice lately. The streams are starting to be a bit too shallow for comfort," he mewed, casting a brief glance at Odd Brook. The last thing the clan needed was a drought. Not when they had enough on their plate with the tensions with OwlClan. "StarClan will bring the rain though." He hoped.
"I'm excited to meet them too," Lilacwing agreed, meaning every word, even if secretly she still felt a bit apprehensive. She wanted desperately to be a good mother, her own had been distant and even a bit cold. Smallfish had been so focused on her duties that she'd moved out of the nursery as soon as Lilacwing and her siblings had been weaned. Their father had made up for her lack of affection where he could but being ignored by a parent hurt either way.
The expectant mother worried because she had no experience with how a loving mother should act.
Her chin landed on his shoulder, her cheek pressed into the crook of Goosemask's neck. Like this, she was surrounded by her mate's alluring scent and warmth. "I just need... you," she whispered, nearly trembling with nerves after admitting something so silly. To distract herself from her potential social blunder, Lilacwing took a big bite of the trout. Hopefully, the food would help settle her kittens.
Goosemask's sudden exclamation had the queen lifting her head, finding Silverdawn with her gaze. A smile spread across her muzzle, expression warm. While usually other cats made her a nervous wreck, she admired his mate's mother.

sootfall - odd brook with tanglesplash Sootfall's eyes widened as though he'd been stung. "Me? Haggard?" He uttered a short gasp and staggered back a step, raising a paw and pressing it to his chest in mock disbelief. "You wound me!" He lifted his head and peered down his nose imperiously. "It's not easy looking this good every day, you know. Not everyone can be as naturally attractive as you, Tanglesplash!" A heartbeat passed and his dramatic face cracked into a smile once more. Where Tanglesplash's smile was sardonic, Sootfall's was genuine, if rather teasing. Side by side they headed for the stream. Sootfall was glad; a swim at this time of day and a snack to finish it off would be refreshing, and all the more enjoyable for the company he kept. Perhaps they should eat first so they would have more energy for swimming? Whatever else they caught they could bring back to camp. His mouth began to water in anticipation of fresh trout as they trekked over the hill to the Clan's favorite fishing spot. A light breeze ruffled his fur and sent waves rippling through the wheat fields like an ocean of gold. Sootfall turned his face up toward the sun, enjoying the pleasant warmth. "Thanks for coming with me, by the way," he said to Tanglesplash, descending toward the stream. The clear water twinkled invitingly. "I would've gone by myself, but a day such as this just has to be shared." Sootfall hopped onto a large, flat, smooth stone near the stream's edge and watched the water eddy around it. He listened to the sound of the wind and the stream rushing by, and after a moment, he thought he detected voices. Sootfall glanced around and spotted two of their Clanmates farther downstream. They were far enough away he would not have been able to identify them if he wasn't already familiar with their scents. "Hey, look! It's Otterfrost and Laketail!" Sootfall beamed. He turned back to look at Tanglesplash and cocked his head. "Should we join them?"
willowpaw - swanclan camp with irispaw "Thanks!" The little molly chirped. "I thought you did really good last time, so." Willowpaw opened her mouth, about to ask a question, hesitated, then closed it again. She cocked her head, light green eyes flicking back and forth as she tried to recall their last training session. She hadn't remembered learning three battle moves, and she wasn't sure which specific one she'd had in mind this morning, if there had indeed been more than one. Catching the look on her fellow apprentice's face, she decided against admitting this. "Right, three, of course," she mewed. "I think it went something like this?" She circled around Irispaw, tail twitching, before darting in and, twisting clumsily, mimed swiping a paw along the exposed part of Irispaw's belly without actually touching the other molly. Then she bounced backward. "Does that one seem familiar?"

little blu ♥, 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢"I hope so," Laketail commented. The fluffy tomcat craned his neck to stare at the sky with wide golden eyes. "I hope it's soon. I don't really do well in hot weather. Not to sound like a housecat, but I think greenleaf is a time for napping all day." "With your warrior ceremony coming up, I thought I'd let you decide what you do today," Bramblewing meowed. She gently rested her tailtip on Reedpaw's shoulder. "We should focus on areas you aren't as skilled at. It's important that you recognize your weak points, and the last second isn't when you want to be faced with the realization that you can't do something." She quoted her mentor, hoping Reedpaw would understand like she herself had so many moons ago.

Being reminded of his warrior ceremony was enough to get the tom excited, breaking out in an animated smile. Reedpaw really enjoyed having Bramblewing as his mentor, he liked her feisty attitude and how direct her teaching was. She treated him with respect, and he really appreciated that.
"Then, maybe we could train near odd brook?" He suggested with a flick of his tail. Reedpaw wasn't one to deny that he still had some work to do this late into his training. His swimming wasn't where he'd like it to be, and he was far from the best fisher amongst the other apprentices. "I've been hoping to brush up on my fishing, I also figured going for a swim wouldn't hurt either." Reedpaw is eager to hear his mentor's thoughts on his training proposal. Compliments weren't something Irispaw had become quite used to, in fact she hated the unnecessary praise. She had a hard time believing anyone, convinced that other cats felt the need to commend her because of her star touched qualities, and not because she was genuinely good at a skill. Her parents are always first to come to mind, with their endless flattery of their precious daughter. She doesn't ever remember them holding her brother in such high regards. It was irritating.
But, she looks at Willowpaw carefully, knowing the molly well enough that she wouldn't have said if she didn't mean it. "Um, thanks." She supposes it was alright to hear compliments from the energetic she-cat. She also pretends not to notice Willowpaw faltering on her question, picking up her hesitation but not caring enough to call her out on it.
Irispaw watches then as she's circled, followed by the crude demonstration of Willowpaw's attempt at recounting the battle move she was having trouble with. She can't hold back the snort that comes up. "Oh, the half-turn belly rake? Is that what you're trying to do?" The darker gray she-cat asked, her tone void of it's usual annoyance and actually having a touch of lightheartedness. "I can help you, no problem. Honestly, that one was the easiest out of the bunch. I'm sure you'll get it in no time."

Silverdawn: Camp with Goosemask and Lilacwing.
Silverdawn hears her name and turns her attention to Goosemask who was calling her over. She rises to her paws and makes her way over to them. She found that her son and Lilacwing were really cute together and wasn't all that surprised when they announced that they were expecting. "Good morning you two!" She called out once she is close enough. "Hope you both had a good night sleep. Last night, I wanted nothing more than to slap Otterfrost for snoring so loud!"
She ended up going out for a late night walk and talked to herself or would just pretend Troutsplash was walking with her. The walk was enough to make her sleepy.

- - - ( lol poor otterfrost ) - - - willowpaw - swanclan camp with irispaw Willowpaw experienced a strange sinking sensation in her belly. She'd been struggling with the move since the last time they'd trained together. Was it really that easy? Was it just her, then, who had trouble with it? She wondered how the other apprentices felt about it. Maybe Irispaw was just even better at fighting than she realized. In that case, she felt glad the other molly was willing to help her, if a bit worried that Irispaw would think that she was slow. Swallowing her self-doubt, Willowpaw shouted, "Yes, that's it! The half-turn belly rake! Oh," she flattened her ears and clapped a paw to her mouth, eyes wide. "That was too loud, wasn't it? Sorry." The pale grey molly flashed her companion a sheepish smile. "The tricky part for me is turning in time; I keep almost falling on my side." She flicked her gaze up and down Irispaw's length. "Maybe it's easier with a taller cat. I dunno." She stepped backward to give Irispaw more room to maneuver. "Can you try it on me so I can see how you do it?"
