Echobranch-Forest-Brambleheart's Patrol and Vanilla
Echobranch eyed the kittypet, it would be easy to take him out if they needed to fight him. The cat didn't seem to have any knowledge on fighting. She eyed Brambleheart a bit, as the tom spoke before turning her gaze back to the kittypet. The tom had a point, the kittypet had no right to be talking to them as equals, unlike this cat, Tideclan knew how to survive on their own, without the need of a twoleg to do things for them. She was honestly surprised the kittypet made it this far.

Rainsong - Garden of Herbs - Cloudsight
Rainsong padded over to Cloudsight once it looked like he was done collecting herbs. "Ready to head back?" he meowed as the other tom padded at the ground, indirectly confirming that Cloudsight hadn't missed any of the collected herbs without outright saying it.

Murkypaw, Shoalpaw - Camp - Azaleapaw (briefly), Crestfoot
Murkypaw nodded to Azaleapaw, meowing a "see you later, then!" as he and Shoalpaw turned to Crestfoot. "So, any plans for training?" he then asked the warrior. "I only collected seaweed today so I'd probably join anything." While he didn't like the thought of having to run around too much training was still better than sitting around all day. "Can't stop our training because of the weather, right?" he added with a slight grin.
Shoalpaw gave a light purr at that. "Crestfoot isn't a torturer, you know. He won't train us too hard today. But yeah, can't let the sun beat us."

Rainsong - Garden of Herbs - Forest - Cloudsight
"Alright then." For a while Rainsong just stayed silent as they walked back through the forest, only giving a small grunt when he got to the part where he had hidden his prey earlier. As he padded over to the spot he couldn't help but wonder how difficult hunting would become if things stayed the way they were right now. "We better find a way to still get enough freshkill and water," he muttered as he picked up his kills. Then he quickly trotted back over to Cloudsight to catch up with him.

Shoalpaw, Murkypaw - Camp - Crestfoot
Shoalpaw chuckled to herself at her mentor's reaction to Murkypaw and her comments. At his words she nodded and glanced at Murkypaw, hoping that he agreed to join them. It would be more fun with another apprentice and they would be able to catch more prey.

Murkypaw blinked at the mention of swimming practice and barely stopped himself from stepping back. He then quickly glanced at Shoalpaw and then back at Crestfoot, hoping neither of them had noticed. "Sure, sounds good! So we can cool off a little before we go hunting. Can't say no to that. I'm in!" Maybe they would just practice in the shallows. And if they would swim in the deeper parts, well... Murkypaw would think about that once they were at the beach. "Careful on the sand though," he purred. "we should probably run straight for the water."

Brambleheart and Vanilla with the patrol - Forest Ember34 *•.¸♡𝘥𝘢𝘸𝘯𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘦♡¸.•*
Vanilla ignored all the others and focused on this arrogant brown tom. He bit back. "Of course we are equals. Your kind may think you are better than all the others because you know how to seem scary and brave. But I'm not fooled. I am just like you, but I was born and raised different. What does that matter?" Vanilla could not understand. Had he been sent into a trap? He could not return, of course. His Twoleg would lock him in forever, and that would be horrible. But had he been sent into a prison where none of the cats would give him the freedom he deserved and desired, always seeing Vanilla as inferior to Brambleheart?

Brambleheart spit, "Of course it matters, kittypet. Of course it matters, for the way you were raised has made you soft. There is no room for compassion out here! How you were born has made you too soft to do anything but cower in the shadow of a Twoleg." Brambleheart extended his claws, ready to defend the territory. "Prove me wrong. You lose, you get out of our territory. You win, then we'll see."

Copperkit with Honeyblossom - Nursery *•.¸♡𝘥𝘢𝘸𝘯𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘦♡¸.•*
Copperkit sighed contentedly and stuck her tail up, purposely tickling Honeyblossom in the face. Then she went scrambling after a moss ball. She purposely showed of her tail, making sure that Honeyblossom knew that it was beautiful. Copperkit's head was full of dreams for the future, and she couldn't wait for them to come true.

Echobranch chuckled a bit. No way this kittypet would stand a chance in this fight, but at least it will put it in it's place. She sat down, wrapping her tail around her paws. "Don't beat him up to much Brambleheart, he's going to need to be able to run back to his twolegs when you win."

Echobranch-Forest-Brambleheart's Patrol, Vanilla
Echobranch was content with watching but when the kittypet actually showed he had some fight, she choose to aid in helping. He was clearly a dangerous one to have in the territory. Rushing in she moved to attack Vanilla's legs, clawing across them, hoping to aid in Brambleheart pinning him to the ground.

Minnowcloud with Ripplefur - Forest Pineclaw
Minnowcloud nodded silently, then stalked off to find a piece of prey. After sniffing and sniffing, she had to admit to herself that the prey had probably gone away thanks to the heat. Minnowcloud sighed. Starclan, please spare us, she prayed silently to herself. We are a Clan that depends on our water. Without it, we are weak. The prey has gone now and soon there will be nothing left of us. Minnowcloud laid down a bit on the cool forest floor and continued to silently pray to Starclan.

Brambleheart and Vanilla with the Patrol - Forest Ember34 *•.¸♡𝘥𝘢𝘸𝘯𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘦♡¸.•*
Brambleheart was glad when Echobranch joined the fight. As the she-cat scrabbled at Vanilla's legs, Brambleheart bit on the kittypet's shoulder. Suddenly, he felt his coat grow even warmer with embarrassment as he found himself on the ground, being pressed by the kittypet. Brambleheart moaned and kicked at the stranger's flank, hoping to get him off.

Vanilla yelped with pain when the fangs bit down and drew blood. Suddenly he was acting on instinct, slipping out from the wildcat's reach and leaping onto his attacker. When Vanilla realized that there were two attackers now, he immediately rethought himself. The other wildcat could easily leap onto him, squashing the life out of him. And obviously these cats knew how to fight. What was he thinking?

Honeyblossom with Copperkit - Nursery *•.¸♡𝘥𝘢𝘸𝘯𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘦♡¸.•*
"No, mama. Just thirsty." Copperkit's eyes grew wide. "Do you have any water. Or better yet, how about we go out and find our water? Like warriors do!" Copperkit smiled excitedly. "Come on, ma, let's go!" and she was off, bounding towards the exit of the Nursery. Deep down she knew that it was going to be a while before she got to really go out, but it was worth a try.

She clenched her teeth. Honeyblossom didn't have any water. Going down to the ocean wouldn't be a good idea either, it was dry outside. "I don't have any water," Honeyblossom explained. "You're far too young to go outside. I can go check with Azaleapaw to see if they have a stock of wet moss," Honeyblossom eyed the calico she-cat who was sitting just outside the medicine cat den.

Lynxpaw with the patrol and Vanilla - Forest
Lynxpaw clenched her teeth. She couldn't take it. That kittypet must be defenceless! What was Brambleheart doing? Echobranch too! What kind of warrior would hurt such a harmless outsider!
"Stop!" Lynxpaw cried, her whole body shaking. "What are you doing! Almondstar never would've acted this way!" Lynxpaw hissed and turned around, running back to camp.

Ripplefur - Forest - Minnowcloud
(they caught a total of four, I think. Ripplefur caught a thrush before she ran into Minnowcloud, and then a fat vole and a scrawny sparrow. Minnowcloud had caught a squirrel and, after her chat with Ripplefur, tried to catch a tiny mouse but I think it got away? And after that neither of them caught anything else.)

Ripplefur kept looking for a while, still mad about her failed attempt earlier. But the more she looked the more she realized that it was pointless. With a sigh she went looking for Minnowcloud. She paused for a moment when she saw her but then slowly padded up to her. "No luck here either," she meowed, feeling it was pointless to ask if she had been successful. "I was kinda hopeful before since there still seemed to be so much prey but I guess the heat's getting too much for them too."

Shoalpaw and Murkypaw - Beach - Crestfoot
Shoalpaw listened carefully as her mentor spoke, keeping her head up high as she slowly began to swim around the shallow parts. Some of it she had heard before and to her it was pretty much part of any normal swimming session. One couldn't be too careful as the ocean could be unpredictable. She swam a few circles, her kicks becoming more powerful with each round, and then stayed in place. Shoalpaw glanced over at Murkypaw and flicked her tail, sending some droplets of water his way. Then she took a deep breath and headed downwards, quickly giving her mentor a signal with her tail that she was just diving and not drowning. Since they were practising in the shallow parts she almost immediately reached the floor and tried to move along it. After a few seconds she touched the ground with her paws, kicked herself off and broke the surface, quickly shaking her head in hopes of preventing the water on her fur from running into her eyes. Then she went right back to just swimming, meowing a "any idea on how to last longer down there?" to her mentor.

Murkypaw nodded and carefully began to swim too, staying behind Shoalpaw. He hoped Crestfoot was right about them not having to worry about the current. Like Shoalpaw, and like her mentor had advised, he kept his head above the water. When she flicked her tail he gave a mewl of protest as some water droplets flew his way but watched with great interest as she dived down. So far he hadn't really attempted that yet, both because he was still learning some more basics and he didn't really feel confident about trying to dive. So instead of repeating what Shoalpaw did Murkypaw just focused on swimming right now.

Minnowcloud nodded. "Maybe we'll catch some on the way back. But for now four will do." Minnowcloud started walking off in the direction of the prey pile. "Brambleheart might need us."

Destiny - Forest - Open

Destiny padded her way through the forest sniffing gently for the smell of prey. She wasn't used to catching her own prey really. She had caught a mouse near the house once and ate it but her two-legs seemed unimpressed by this display. She had really been fairly pleased by the whole thing. It had only been a few days since she had decided to venture out on her own and she wasn't used to finding her own food still. She was a little concerned but the cats from her dreams seemed to think this was right so here she was.

Echobranch-Forest-Bramblehearts patrol, Vanilla
Echobranch shook out her fur, shotting a glare at the kittypet. She had to agree with the choice he made, the kittypet at least showed that he was able to fight. "Should we bring him back?" She looked at the deputy occasionally looking at the kittypet to make sure he didn't try anything.
