Hera | Living Room | first post lets gooooooooooo|
"Adjusting orbit trajectory, monitoring results...there we go, that's better woooOOOooooah - "
She cut herself off, reeling, as every single thing her circuits were connected to changed in the blink of an eye, causing her entire system to lurch violently, compensating for the change.
Darkness. Her optical sensors were offline...wait, no, not offline. They were working, but the connection was all wrong - what had happened just now? Had she gone offline? Been rebooted? Shut off?
That last option was what made her work - sorting through the mess of code that was nowhere it was supposed to be. No...she wasn't...broken, exactly, not this time. It was like she'd been moved to a new ship entirely. Oh - there it was.
With a click, her optical sensors powered back on, and she breathed a sigh of relief. "Ahhh, okay. That's better," she said, taking in her surroundings. She could flip her perspective around the room from a few different vantage points, as if there were cameras installed in the four corners of the room, and she could zoom in, and there was a lot of wiring that told her she should be able to do something with the lights, and maybe the door? But she hadn't figured out how to access it yet.
More importantly, where was this? How had she ended up here?

Mr. Gray | Living Room | Anyone Mr. Gray was not personally on the phone, but he held it pinned between his ear and shoulder anyway, since his hands were busy with the steering wheel of a car and the people he was eavesdropping on were the talkative sort. It wasn’t strictly necessary to break into their line, but it was easier, and it had only taken a very simple hacking job he was still proud of himself for managing. He had never used a phone like this before, and it had sounded hard when he’d looked up how, though in the end it really hadn’t been very complicated. He’d made a mental note to update his own security. He also wouldn’t have had a second try. These were not forgiving people. The very first thing he noticed, before he registered that the voices had stopped, was that his music had vanished, cut off mid verse. The second thing he noticed was that he was no longer in his car. He lowered his hands slowly, eyeing the room he was now in. He was sitting on a beanbag chair, near a bookshelf, and though he didn’t feel, physically, like he’d been attacked, he felt, mentally, like he probably had been. “I will have to call you back,” he told the nonexistent other side of the phone. He was going to say something else, too, but in the end he just lowered it, expression wry as he realized it was dead. That seemed…awfully convenient. A quick search told him he was unarmed, too, except for the knife he kept tucked in one boot. That seemed even more convenient.

Adora | living room | everyone A blonde girl appeared in the room, her hands searching the ground whilst bent over. "--swear if you don't tell me where you hid it..." Closing her eyes, her mumbling sounded annoyed, and she continued in this manner until an unfamiliar voice caused her to stop and finally notice that her surroundings did not belong to the Fright Zone.
Adora shot up and whirled around to face the stranger, mentally cursing the fact she didn't have any sort of gear thanks to a certain someone. She tried not to let her eyes stray from the man, however she couldn't help that her gaze darted about the unknown room in search of details.
Her posture was defensive and guarded as she stayed where she'd been placed, not yet daring to take a step in case of traps. After wading through the storm of thoughts in her head, Adora finally was able to speak and channeled the most authoritative voice she could find. "Who are you? What--Where is this?"

"U-uum - hello?"
Hera's voice broke into the standoff between the two humans, loud and slightly grating against the tense atmosphere. She paused, startled, as she realized her test had worked, and she was once again able to speak. She was pretty sure, anyway. It seemed like she was able to speak - that was the code for her voice, right? Everything looked so different.
"Woah, okay. Back online. Ha ha, cool. Hey, you guys. Can you hear me?"

Mr. Gray | Living Room | All Mr. Gray blinked, straightening up slightly as someone seemed to materialize directly in front of him. Oftentimes, when he’d been around otherworldly things, there had been a distinct sort of… otherness to them. The dead boy, for example. When he’d appeared, it had been impossible to tell precisely when it had happened. His mind had played tricks on him, insisting that nothing strange had happened after all, he had always been there, he just hadn’t been noticed. They’d all been like that. Something you saw out of the corner of your eye and could never focus on completely. This was not that. There had been no one there a moment ago, and now there was, as if that were a thing people normally could do. He didn’t answer for a moment as he took it in, and then another moment as he decided how he wanted to handle it. That gave just enough time for him to hear the second voice. “I can hear you,” he replied. He couldn’t see her, but he didn’t point that out, because of all the odd things that had happened in the last minute, that was the most believable. Then he looked back at the othe girl. “Owen,” he lied easily. “And I was hoping you would be able to tell me that.”

Vincent | Living Room | @/everyone Vincent blinked in, squinting his eyes at the rapid change of light. He rubbed at his face with an annoyed sigh, running his fingers through his hair once he’d regained his composure. Feeling irritated, but not beaten, he analyzed the others with a lifted chin; noting the two strangers and the weird, disembodied voice (which earned an intrigued head tilt). All parties seemed a bit…confused. He looked around sheepishly, waiting for someone else to arrive who could better explain things, then put his hands in his pockets and continued watching wordlessly. As to avoid attention, he wore his curiosity on his face, lazily disguised as another confused newbie.

Adora | living room | everyone Adora almost jumped out of her skin at the voice that seemed to belong nowhere when she looked for the source. "Hear you-- Where are you?" She didn't like not being able to see an unknown person. The only solace being her back was near enough to a wall that no one could sneak up from behind, so she set her hardened gaze back on 'Owen'.
"Oh? and why's that? You were clearly already here before..." Adora's voice trailed off, the focus of her eyes going from one man to the next, who had most certainly not been there until just this second. Was this an ambush? Would hand-to-hand be enough if it came to that? The soldier tried to steel herself as her muscles clenched in anticipation of something. "Okay so I don't like surprises, so one of you better get to telling me what all this is before anything else weird happens." She was half bluffing, hoping the way she held herself was enough to convince the strangers she was a threat if they didn't comply.

Hera | Living room | the plot begins|
Alright, well at least her voice was working. It was good to know something was working - everything was so mixed up it was hard to tell if she was running her code correctly and to the right places. At the very least, she didn't seem to be controlling this station - which was weird, because if she wasn't who was? And where was this?
"Wait...you guys don't know where we are either?" she asked, Adora's threat barely registering past this new piece of information. Anyway, it wasn't like she could hurt her. "None of you? Oh, I'm - " she paused, thinking. "I'm...I was... the station's AI unit. So I'm here, I'm just...not right next to you. I'm in the walls. I think. That part's still not super clear."

Mr. Gray | Living Room Well…Mr. Gray was at least fairly sure she wasn’t lying. Since he’d just appeared himself a moment before she had, it wasn’t too hard to believe the same thing had just happened to her as it had him. The invisible girl, too, and… He caught sight of another man, too. This was going to get very out of control, very quickly, if everyone started to panic. The threat merely glanced off of him. She could be perfectly capable, and he was still fairly sure he would win if she did attack. Plus, if he was unarmed, she probably was, too. Not that he wasn’t keeping a close eye on everyone he could see, anyway. Just in case. “I appeared here, just like you did a moment ago,” he told her, glancing at the wall. The invisible girl - the AI unit - could be behind it, he mused. She was the only one he couldn’t be sure hadn’t just appeared. The other man was being very quiet, too. He stood up, keeping his posture casual and unthreatening. “It seems none of us know anything, then…?”

Vincent | Living Room | @/everyone Vincent remained silent as the other’s discussed, glancing back and forth between speakers as he tried to assess each personality. It was fascinating watching how strangers conversed in a situation that was new to them - especially when they had no one to guide them in the right direction. He’d always been curious how the first blinkers ever had addressed their situation, and how many times the House had reset before the existence of any of the blinkers he knew today. His eyes narrowed as Hera continued, looking to one of the walls curiously. “In the walls?” He repeated, genuinely interested in this blinker. “Can you see us?” He then raised up his hands innocently as Adora threatened him, though he let the other stanger speak for both of them.

Hinata Shōyō | Living Room | everyone A ginger-haired boy appeared mid-leap, his eyes wide as he aimed to hit a ball that wasn’t there anymore. “Wha-“ he barely had time to register that the ball wasn’t there (and neither was the net) when his feet hit the floor again and he looked around, searching for some sort of explanation. There were lots of people in the room already, but the boy didn’t recognize any of them. Was he dreaming? Or maybe the ball had hit him in the head again… wasn’t hallucination a symptom of a concussion? He tilted his head, stepping a little closer to see if he could hear any of the conversations they were having. Normally he would fearlessly butt right in, but that didn’t feel like the best course of action here.

Adora | living room | everyone Adora's eyes narrowed, not completely sure on trusting the man, though decided at least for the moment he had no reason to keep a charade up. "In the walls?" she questioned, once again looking uselessly for the voice. "Is this your...place?" Adora flubbed how to word what she wanted to ask.
However once again, before she could sort through her thoughts, the sudden appearance of another spooked her, and this time Adora couldn't stop herself from having an outburst towards the boy, "OKAY why does that keep happening?!"

Hera | Living room |
"I can see you," confirmed Hera, only half paying attention to him as she watched the others at the same time, tracking their interactions. "I'm not...sure how, though - are there cameras on the ceiling? Because I'm definitely connected to something - well, a lot of things, but I'm not really sure - "
The lights went out, plunging everyone into total darkness.
A second later, they came back on.
"Sorry, sorry!" said Hera hurriedly, trying to beat everyone to the punch of yelling at her. "Wrong pathway - ug - gh h, this is confusing..."
She turned to address the blonde girl, trying to keep up with everything happening at once. "No, this isn't mine. I have...absolutely no idea where I am. I kind of thought you would know, since you're all...uniform-ed."

Mr. Gray | Living Room Mr. Gray turned sharply as color and movement caught his eye, but it was only someone else appearing, this time a boy younger than the others. He looked like a kid, which made this entire ordeal seem… More urgent? Less friendly? He didn’t know. He just knew that even terrible people had to be a certain brand of terrible to involve kids. Even he wasn’t a kidnapper, and he couldn’t usually say he had the moral high ground. He didn’t reply to Adora. She was right, though…how many people were going to appear here? No one so far even knew where here was. Or if they had, they weren’t interested in sharing. The most important thing wasn’t understanding, though. The most important thing was doing what he could with what he already knew, and figuring out the rest later. He kept an eye on the others, but he gave the room a quick scan, too. He couldn’t tell much - it seemed older, maybe, though that could have just been the carpet - and wooden, and under other circumstances, he would have liked it. And then, abruptly, the lights went out. Mr. Gray drew his knife in an instant, but he kept it safely pointed down, in case anyone he didn’t want to stab crashed into him. It was only a second, but it was enough that when they came back on, he looked far more dangerous than he’d been before. It wasn’t that he looked intentionally threatening. It was more that he definitely knew how to hold a knife, and his expression said he would.

Hinata Shōyō | Living Room | everyone The only thing Hinata was absolutely certain of was that he had entered a situation that was much more tense than the ones he normally found himself in. If he had stumbled upon something like this normally, he would have scuttled away as fast as he could without being noticed and returned to somewhere less tense. That didn’t seem to be an option here, especially since he had no idea what was behind the one door in the room. Well… it seemed like that was probably the way out… “I just got here,” he told Adora, eyes wide as he looked up at her. “I mean… I’d say sorry for whatever it is you’re upset about but I really don’t think I’ve done anything… probably… what is this place, anyway?” He seemed ready to ask something else when the lights went off and he was caught between panicking and trying out one of those martial arts stances he had seen on TV once. There was no time for Hinata to react before the lights came back on and he started, immediately looking for the voice in the walls. “Are you… some sort of announcer or something? Cause I’ve never played a game big enough for there to be an announcer who’s not even in the room so no offense, but it seems kind of weird to have one… here…”

Vincent | Living Room | @/everyone
Vince stepped back a few paces, raising his eyebrows as the others continued loudly talking over each other, not making any progress as to what was going on. He kept his hands in his pockets, expressionless as he looked between the newbies. It wasn’t until the lights went off that his interest in the situation returned.
His figure had backed against one of the walls in the darkness, cautious of the panic that could ensue, though he was now intently staring at the ceiling. “How did you do that?” He asked, looking around the living room with a mystified look. Surely the House wouldn't blink in something more powerful than itself… but he’d never seen a blinker interact with it in such a way.

Adora | living room | everyone "I'm not upset at you, I just-- I don't even know either!" Despite that Adora was still visibly distressed when answering Hinata as if he was the cause. She went to look for proposed cameras when it all cut to black. She tried to grab something, but remembered the fact she had no equipment on herself. Her stance had changed drastically when the light returned, hands at the ready in case anyone had dared to come at her.
Her heart beat louder in her ears to the point she almost missed what was being said as her eyes zoned in on the knife now being wielded by 'Owen'. She said nothing to him, but made sure to make enough eye contact to let him know that she wouldn't hold back if he tried anything.
"You seem to have a lot of control for it not being yours." Adora couldn't help but to glance up at the ceiling when addressing the voice despite there being no point, only to then look down at herself as she grabbed at her red jacket. She hadn't thought of it before in the chaos, but perhaps she could use her 'position' to her advantage in a group of cluelessness. "Do you know the Horde?"

Mr. Gray | Living Room Unsurprisingly, it seemed people were beginning to panic. No one attacked, though, and he caught the warning look the blonde girl gave him. He tucked the knife away again. Weapons were just going to make everyone panic a lot faster, and he probably would be fine without it. It seemed the invisible girl had turned the lights off, though. He glanced around, but he couldn’t see a switch…that wasn’t too surprising. As far as he could tell, she didn’t have a body, anyway. He kept quiet. Enough people were talking that he could learn more just by paying attention to them, and it was easier to listen to them this way, too. The blonde girl had a point about the invisible girl and her control, but at the same time, none of this made sense, so he didn’t feel comfortable jumping to conclusions. He glanced at the ginger kid - he seemed friendly so far, which didn’t mean much - and then the blond man, who was interestingly not panicking so far.

Hinata Shōyō | Living Room | everyone “Oh,” Hinata replied, eyes widening a little more. So they were all just as confused as he was. Or at least… the girl was. The man with the knife, the blond man, and the announcer woman all seemed to be a little less confused. Or at least less likely to freak out about it. “Well… uh… I’m Hinata, by the way! Maybe we can figure out what this place is together! And uh… what Horde? Is that a team or something? I’m part of Karasuno’s volleyball team - or at least I will be if I can win in this match.” He blushed a little as he realized he was probably talking too much. “So uh… anyone know where that door goes?” He asked, pointing towards the door.

| Variant Loki | Living Room | Someone blinked into the Little House, skidding across the old carpet and landing on their back, staring up at the dingy ceiling for a moment, getting their bearings. Apparently sudden interdimensional travel was a bit disorienting. But if the opportunity to seize the tesseract and escape arose, Loki was certainly going to take it. Tesseract. Tesseract- where was it? It wasn't in their hands. They scrabbled around for it briefly, but it was clear that it had vanished. And they had no idea where it was, or where they were. Don't panic. Don't let others know you're looking for it. "Where did it spit me out?" They murmured to themself, sitting up. They took stock of the others in the room. A girl in a uniform, looking like a soldier. A boy, looking decidedly not like a soldier. And two other adults, one holding a knife. That, at least, was familiar enough to Loki.

Mr. Gray | Living Room There was another one, skidding across the floor like they’d been tossed. Mr. Gray watched them for a moment, but he stayed where he was as they sat up, glancing back at the others. The ginger boy - Hinata, finally there was a name to work with - didn’t seem to be panicking. The blonde girl seemed like she was probably panicking a little, but he didn’t hold that against her. And the other man, appearing notable only because he didn’t seem very noteworthy. Mr. Gray had been invisible in plain sight too many times to let him get away with that. It was usually the people who were confidence enough not to seem threatening that were the ones to keep your eye on. “We just got here,” he replied to the kid, glancing at the door. He was right about it being the main thing to worry about, probably. There was a lot that could hide behind a closed door. “I probably know as much about this as you do.”
