Adora | living room | everyone Adora waited, but it seemed the AI voice wasn't talking anymore. She might not have had any answers either, but it was still disappointing, and this showed heavily on Adora's face. She was at least pleased when the knife was hidden away - one less thing to actively be on guard about (of course knowing he still had a knife was enough to keep her on edge).
Adora felt herself lean away just a bit from Hinata's...easiness? He didn't even seem to be remotely on edge. "Adora," she responded to his introduction, and then raised a brow. "Volleyball team? No, the Horde brings peace and order, I'm a ca--" Adora coughed midway to stop herself, her voice cracking as she finished, "I'm a...ranked official with them. So even though I don't exactly know what's going on here, I'm trained to handle stuff like this." Yes it was a lie, but if she was honest about being a lowly trainee she doubted it'd get anyone to listen to her. She had to work to cover that, though. "...And sorry about blowing up before."
After that spiel Adora realized she couldn't keep reacting, which was hard when another someone had a loud entrance. "What he said." She nodded to 'Owen' before looking back to Hinata and the door - which probably should have been a priority. Was she apprehensive about opening a strange door in a strange place with no prior knowledge of what to expect? Of course. But she had a role to fill now. "Only one way to find out," Adora announced and strode over to it.

Hinata Shōyō | Living Room | everyone Hinata backed up, eyes wide and arms out like he was capable of defending himself as someone else appeared. Okay, so it seemed that people did just appear here. Which was unbelievable…y cool![/i] It felt like something out of a science fiction show or something, and Hinata couldn’t help but be at least a little bit awed by it. He had never seen anything like it. If he were to go home and tell anyone what had happened, they doubtless would have told him he was making things up. He always had been told he had an overactive imagination, but this didn’t feel like the work of his imagination. This felt very, very real. Which could, of course, mean that it was just a weird dream. Even though his dreams usually had to do with volleyball when they were this cool. “Peace and order?” Hinata asked, more interested in what Adora had to say than anyone else. The adults seemed important, of course, but Adora seemed to be the one in charge. At least… she was claiming she was in charge, which Hinata saw no reason to doubt.

Vince - Living Room - @/everyone
Vincent leaned closer to the wall, waiting patiently from a response from the AI blinker. When she didn’t say anything for a moment, he leaned back, skillfully masking his frustration. He might’ve just missed an opportunity for leverage on the House, especially considering it had been so quick to put poor Hera in timeout.
Biting his tongue, he played it off with more puzzled staring at the wall before crossing his arms and looking back to the group. The one man kept sending him glances, he noticed, but it seemed everyone else was preoccupied by their fear and curiosity. He took his time looking over each blinker, pausing to look at Loki - who he vaguely recognized. Either the god was playing the same game as him, or he’d been put in a very unique position. Perhaps the House was curious how long he could go without having to explain things. Maybe it was annoyed he kept opting of of that responsibility….
He lifted his chin up to watch as Adora approached the door, his demeanor completely relaxed even to the trained eye; mostly because he had no reason to fear the hallway.

| Variant Loki | Living Room | One of the strangers was saying that he'd just gotten there. There was an air of confusion and uncertainty, and Loki assumed that the others might be in the same boat as them. Except... how had they all gotten here? Loki was assuming (incorrectly, as more experienced blinkers would know) that the tesseract had been responsible for their blink. And the others did not seem like the kind of folks to have infinity stones casually in their possession. The one called Adora claimed to be an officer of some kind, but Loki sensed a lie on her tongue. They were curious what about the organization she was affiliated with- the Horde? Peace and Order? Ugh, that sounded terrible. But the interesting part was that they'd never heard of it. So Adora must have been from a realm far away. Loki raised themself all the way to standing. The door everyone was looking at appeared to be the only one out. There were no windows, which was unusual. The whole place felt claustrophobic. If the group of strangers was going to go through the door, then they were certainly going to tag along. The blonde gave them a look that they couldn't decipher, and they watched him back, green eyes curious. He, too, seemed to be hiding something.

Mr. Gray | Living Room Mr. Gray listened to Adora’s reply, one eyebrow arching slightly at her description. He didn’t know if she was telling the truth, but she did seem to be wearing some sort of uniform, so that was something. He’d never heard of the Horde, but he made a note to look into it, as soon as they figured out where they were. He was trained to handle stuff like this too, in a manner of speaking. Stuff like this being strange, unpredictable things, and strange, unpredictable people. The other man didn’t seem interested in saying much. Mr. Gray could respect that. Hinata was mostly latching onto Adora, which was probably for the best…that meant the two of them might stick together, which would make keeping an eye on them both easier. The newcomer was another wild card, but this entire situation was one big wild card, so that didn’t mean much. He moved as Adora did, following her to the door. He didn’t move to open it, but he did stand to the side, close enough to intervene if anything happened when she did. He gave her a quick, respectful nod. Hopefully, she would understand his intentions.

Adora | living room / hopscotch chasm | everyone "Mmhm," she hummed her reply as she zeroed in on the door, only half paying attention to Hinata now. "There's a war currently, so we have to fix everything." Adora normally would be concerned that no one had heard of the Horde or knew the state of the planet, but given the absolute mind melting past few minutes it somehow made more sense than anything else.
Her shoulders tensed when 'Owen' came up beside her, but nodded slightly back at his actions when he didn't try anything funny. Everyone was watching her now, so it was no time for mistakes or to act like a simple cadet. Adora grabbed the knob and gave it a turn as it easily pushed open into a much more darkened and cold area. She walked forward with confidence which in hindsight was not something she should have fronted. Her boots clacked from carpet to stone, and while waiting for her eyes to adjust, Adora felt the heel of one foot slide from unstable ground as it crumbled from her weight. Before she could catch her balance or grab anything, her vision blurred as she tumbled from the cliff.
She didn't even have a chance to scream before the world shifted and she'd find herself back in the cadet quarters as she was blinked away.

| Variant Loki | Living Room / hopscotch chasm | Loki jerked forwards reflexively as Adora started to fall, but the girl was out of their reach. They stared at the deep chasm, hand outstretched, as they searched the darkness with their gaze. It was so dark- they couldn't tell what had happened- they had seen her slip down and disappear into the darkness, but after that they didn't know. She had inhaled to scream but no scream echoed up from the darkness. They listened, but there was no thud of her hitting the ground. It was... very deep, then. They winced at the silence that followed her fall. That was not a good sign. They composed themself, straightening their green cloak. This was the only door out, though. Their green gaze jumped from stepping stone to stepping stone. It was the only path. If the group wanted to make any progress, they would have to take it.

Hinata Shōyō | Living Room/Hopscotch Room | everyone “Adora!” Hinata called, eyes going wide as he watched her disappear over the edge. He took a small step back, unsure what to do now. He had… he had watched her fall. Was she okay? Had she disappeared? It had been like she was there, and suddenly she wasn’t. It was a shame… she had seemed really, really nice, and he didn’t like the idea that she had fallen and then immediately disappeared. Since they hadn’t heard or scream, or heard her hit the bottom… well, he had to hope that she was okay, somehow. “What… do we do now?” Hinata asked, voice small. He didn’t think he wanted to go through the door all that much anymore.

Vincent - Hopscotch room - everyone
The blonde’s expression dropped like all the other’s in the room when Adora disappeared. Part of him almost fought back an urge to laugh at the unanticipated danger he’d confidently let the new blinkers stumble into - but luckily the faint amusement didn’t visually show. Instead, he came up behind the others with wide eyes, peering over their shoulders to see down the deep chasm. He hadn’t heard her scream, but he’d certainly seen her slip. Maybe she’d blinked? He didn’t see a body, so he could only assume.
Moving along swiftly, he narrowed his eyes as the doorway itself, fascinated by its nature. Where was the hallway? What about this group made the House think they didn’t deserve the right to pick their own door? His hands stayed in his pockets, watching the others wordlessly.

Viktor | Living Room/Hopscotch Room | everyone
A scrappy young man stepped forward crutch in had, through the rubble and debris. An apartment irrepairable in its current state is what he was meant to look for originally. An echo of one of Piltover's finest buildings, reduced to a pile of bricks in one evening.
Yet, his brilliance wastefully used to investigate how such a fate had befallen the apartment. How Lovely.
His piercing, golden eyes watch as the mess he is meant to dissect and piece together vanishes. Now he stands in a somewhat occupied room where the outcry of a young man and apathy of the adults surrounds him. An air similar to that of Zaun, the well worn out furniture and aged wallpaper ever so reminiscent of old times but a touch different. Save for the apparent lack of overbearing toxicity, Viktor's lungs can prosper here, where ever "here" happens to be.
Silently, he grips onto his crutch and make a bee line for the door where he saw the loud teen and mysterious stranger pass through. He cast a side eyed glance at those who hadn't passed - the men in suits. Wary was he to turn his back in them yet he was invisible just about wherever he went. The scientist wore a humbling yet pristine university uniform with no valuables in sight. Not a fleck of gold to be seen on his person but what he knew was worth as much. Hobbling forth, he entered the room without much of a choice, a guarded expression and stressed shoulders.
Jayce would understand his tardiness. Perhaps.

[[ Mordecai || Living Room/heading toward hopscotch room || everyone ]] Yet another person appeared in the living room beside a bookcase, a tall shadowy figure dressed in shades of black and grey from head to toe, one gloved hand reaching slowly toward something only to fall to his side again. As he wore both a mask and hood no one could see the look of surprise on his face when the snowy ruins around him fell away to be replaced with an odd little building. He turned, looking over his new surroundings in total confusion and tensed as he realized he wasn’t the only one there, though he might still be the only ra’Seirri. He wasn’t sure what that meant but he was sure it wasn’t good. As for the rest of the place, it looked like an ordinary house, albeit in better condition than most of the ones he’d seen. Or… no, it wasn’t. There was something strange about it that he couldn’t quite understand, like energy was seeping though it’s walls, though that didn’t make sense. It was something that he usually would have been much more interested in, but he had just noticed another issue. There was only one door, and it seemed like everyone else was already heading for it. Mordecai remained where he was for a moment longer, double checking that there was no other option before, slowly started toward it, trying to keep some distance between himself and the others. He really didn’t want to be around so many people but didn’t think he had much of a choice He might have been able to blend into the shadows to slip by the others unnoticed, but the risk of the other people noticing was too high. The way he looked currently might be a bit intimidating or alarming, but it was a thousand times better than looking like a shade.

| Variant Loki | Living Room / hopscotch chasm | Loki looked over as two other people blinked in, a man with a crutch and a shadowy figure. Everyone was naturally gravitating towards the door, hoping to get out of the dingy, claustrophobic room they all found themselves in. But with an open pit of darkness just over the threshold, that wasn't such a great idea. "Get back from it, before we all push each other over the edge!" They demanded, taking a few steps backwards with a purposeful stride. "If we're going to do this, we should do it intelligently." As Loki did so, some of the other group disappeared. But not quite like Adora had- they hadn't gone into the room and fallen into the darkness. They just.. vanished. With no trace of magic left in their wake. Loki blinked a few times in surprise.

As Mordecai got closer to the door he realized that someone was already on the other side of it- the only other ra’Seirri he’d seen so far. Despite his excellent night vision he couldn’t tell what was in the room himself, but they seemed to think it was dangerous to enter for some reason. He paused and looked back around the room again, confirming yet again that there was no other exit. Great. Actually, weren’t there more people there before? The sudden appearance of a girl falling into the room caused him to take a step back, blinking as he tried to process what he was seeing. Was that what had just happened to him? She didn’t seem as surprised to be there though… as much as he’d have liked to leave without speaking to anyone, it looked like he didnt have much of a choice. “Excuse me…” he started slowly, glancing between the people who were left in the room. “But what… do any of you know what’s going on?” he asked finally.

[[ Viktor || Hopscotch room | dawn]] Viktor blinked back into the house in midstride now in the hopscotch room. He blinked his eyes, confused and unaware if the explosion may have something to do with this. He stole a glance at whomever was next to him. Behind he him was a new person, similar in age as the flame haired boy. She didn't carry the unreadable expressions the adults, his cluelessness mirrored Adora's. He can longer hear the bumbling of clumsy feet nor the rustling of broken bricks. It was himself, his thoughts, and the stranger. Viktor shifted his weight on his crutch, noting the deep chasm had only one path. His crutch was still of use here, casting a metallic shine in the chasm. "Fascinating, yet..." He regards the unnatural structure before fixing his gaze on the only other person he saw. "Who are you?" The scientist's voice carried a confused tone, his accent was making it obvious he'd been from the undercity. He didn't take a step forward though, prefering to not fall into the abyss just yet.

| Variant Loki | Living room / hopscotch chasm | "Did everyone else foolishly plummet to their deaths? No. That was just you." Loki answered, saying something snarky to cover their surprise as Adora appeared with the group again, alive and unharmed. Hadn't she just? They looked over at the chasm again. Huh. Loki looked over as the shadowy figure spoke. "As far as I know, everyone just appeared here." A man appeared on the stepping stones, matching the same blinker who'd appeared briefly before disappearing, but now he was the only one inside the room. Interesting.

[[ Moredecai || living room/hopscotch chasm || everyone ]] And then there was another new person- or no, one of the ones who’d disappeared before. Why did that keep happening? Mordecai looked over to the blinker who… hadn’t necessarily been there first, but seemed to be the only one who hadn’t vanished and reappeared yet when they spoke again, confirming what he’d already been starting to expect. “I see…. The same thing happened to me as well,” he replied, glancing between the three strangers again. Two humans and two ra’Seirri, was there any significance to that? There had to be some reason they had been brought there, but he had no idea what the reason could have been. Or how it had happened at all. The shade reached out to touch the doorframe. It really did seem as if there was energy in the walls themselves…

[[ Viktor || Hopscotch room | dawn]] "Viktor." He supplied. A name for a name, its the sensible thing to do. Disappearing, flickering between his every move, hadn't moved him to the point of acting irrational. Not now when everything was making very little sense. "Oh-" He took a second to register the outstretched hand as a good thing. Viktor took it gratefully with his calloused hand, hoisting himself up. Even if he hadn't done anything to deserve the help in the first place. The man was still taller than Adora yet weighed like a feather. "Thank you." His keen gaze swept across the countless steps. He cautiously stepped up with the help given to him, his crutch making a defining 'clack' upon touching the new step.

Loki asked. But it was an interesting concept. She blinked, and everything was back to normal. She blinked, and she was back here. Like teleporting or something. But the magician could sense no magical traces in the air where Adora had appeared. The shadowy figure didn't know what was going on either, as he said. As the man with the crutch said his name in return, Loki volunteered theirs as well. It couldn't hurt to get to know who was here. They didn't trust any of them, but it seemed like everyone was stuck together for now. "I'm Loki."

Loki said. "What's controlling people, what's moving them?" They asked aloud, not addressing anyone in particular, turning in a circle as they scanned the living room. It seemed completely mundane. They looked up, scanning the ceiling, but it was plain. There was no indication of anything or anyone that was moving them around. And with that, Loki blinked out as well, thus ending their first blink into the Little House.

[[ A shade || living room/hopscotch chasm || Lark ]] The shade remained silent as he listened to the others, still partly focused on the odd energy. He’d never encountered anything like it so it seemed plausible that it could be connected to their appearance in the place but he didn’t know how he could tell them without risking making them suspicious of him as well, so he chose to keep it to himself for the time being and tried to turn his attention to the current conversation. It seemed that they’d decided to exchange names which was… a bit of a problem for him. “I…” he started, when the girl looked to him, obviously expecting him to do the same. The truth was that he had as much of an answer to that as he did to the question of how they’d ended up where they were now. Before he could think of a reply, the girl vanished. “Whatever it is, it-“ he started quietly, only to pause again as the other ra’Seirri disappeared as well, “…again?” He looked through the door to see that Viktor was still there. Maybe the other two disappearing was enough of a distraction to keep him from noticing that he hadn’t introduced himself? Probably not but…maybe. Hopefully. “Uh… what’s this room supposed to be anyway?” He asked, taking a cautious step through the doorway onto one of the stepping stones.

"Did any of you get involved in an explosion?" No time was to be wasted and frankly, this was growing to be a major conundrum. His professor would be intrigued by a good old conundrum but also pleased if he ever got to search the apartment. Goodness knows if that had anything to do with this spontaneous warping. He stiffened as Loki heckled Adora who conveniently disappeared in front of his own two eyes. His brow furrowed, Viktor's mind began to tick. "Perhaps-" Once again did he see a stranger disappear, cut off before he could properly assess their question. This 'Loki' was right to question the source - was it natural or man-made? Who was to blame if it was the latter? They were a group of strangers, not engineers. At best they may ponder but at worst they may have trapped themselves into something that could take up their whole lives. Days, weeks, years, all gone by the time they manage to crack this one mystery that could lead into several more. Viktor closed his eyes one more time in the darkness and faced someone who was the embodiment of it. The scientist couldn't recall having seen anyone like the man above him but there was no reason for distrust. Not yet, anyhow, as they were all suffering the same problem. Viktor looked over his shoulder but he saw neither of the two reappear. Splendid. " This was a room!?" He stops his questioning, reassessing with the short question directed at him and glanced back up to the shade. He still did not know he was but its better to have a witness in case a discovery was made. Someone to continue this new legacy. "If it were, this must lead to another." Viktor proposed thoughtfully, his freed hand gesturing at the gaping chasm. Many machines he designed in his time but he was no architect, something of this effort was too grand to venture in their state. "Another room or exit. I may have another idea that has to do with the first room if you'll entertain it." Shortly after saying speaking, Viktor blinked out.

[[ ??? || hopscotch chasm || Lark ]] The shade waited a moment as if waiting to see if the people who’d been there before would reappear as quickly as they had the last time before returning his focus the only blinker remaining. “An explosion… no,” he said quietly, shaking his head as he thought back to where he’d been before he’d ended up here. He’d been in what was left of Kirro, which had likely seen explosions in the past judging by the state of the wreckage, but nothing recent. “I was… near the ruins. I don’t believe anyone was nearby.” He looked over the new ‘room’ as he entered it, unable to see much besides the other man and some of the more nearby stepping stones. They seemed to be floating over a chasm with no visible bottom. “Well… ‘room’ is… probably not quite the right word,” he said as he stared down into the darkness. Then again, was there a right word for whatever this was? Even here he could sense the same energy as before, though he couldn’t tell where it began or ended. As Victor spoke again he returned his focus to the other blinker, nodding. It made sense- more than anything else so far had. This had been the only door in the first room they’d been in so it had to go somewhere, even if there was nothing visible from where they currently stood. He reached up to readjust his mask as he listened before nodding again. “What might that be?” He had to admit he was curious. While he’d initially wanted to get out away from the crowd as quickly as possible, the shock had started to wear off and there was only one other person remaining, in a room so dimly lit that he felt he almost blended in. He still wasn’t comfortable, but it was starting to feel like it would be a shame to leave without knowing anything about it.

Evina ~ Hopscotch Room ~ Anyone Welcome
The bright light from a cellphone screen dimmed to black as a white-haired figure blinked into the room. Evina clicked her tongue in annoyance, believing for half a second that the power in her dorm had gone out. "What the hell?" Her phone was fully charged, why did it turn off suddenly? A power outage wouldn't have caused this.
Her eyes widened as she froze. In the corner of her vision, she noticed the familiar bedroom instead became vague shapes of rock and stone. Her ability to sense the temperatures of her surroundings was suddenly impaired. Her shoulders tensed and her eyes narrowed; she looked at her surroundings to see if she was alone.

One moment the shade had been standing on a stepping stone floating over a seemingly endless chasm, then in the blink on an eye he was standing in the the snowy ruins just as he had been earlier. He looked around, searching for anything that could have lead to whatever had just happened, but saw nothing out of the oridinary. “Hello?” he tried, not really surprised when he received no reply. He knew he probably should have been relived, but instead he found that he was almost… disappointed to have returned? The feeling however was short lived, he had only taken a few steps when once again the world shifted around him and he was forced to step back quickly to avoid falling into the bottomless darkness beyond the edge of the stone. He looked up, realizing that the man he’d been speaking with before was still there. Or there again. “Whatever this is it seems to be repeat-“ he stopped abruptly as he heard another voice, this time one he didn’t recognize. Which probably meant she didn’t know about the floor- or lack of- yet. “Be careful, the ground is unstable,” he warned.

[[ Viktor || Hopscotch room | open ]] Viktor stood cautiously on the center of his step, monitoring for any changes to be seen in the near vicinity. His heart flutters at the mere swearing in the once vacant room. By all means, he was expecting the sharp banter of the narcissist to reach his ears so soon. Yet, the silver-haired stranger among them was the source and was looking particularly perturbed by the change of scenery. "Repeating its motions, yet Adora and Loki are not back." Yet. He confirms the other blinker's astute observation. "Why is that so?" He is ever so inclined to analyze their patterns, every detail mattered. Yet he couldn't ignore the newest addition to the mystery room. The scientist nods at the shade's words, having gone through a close encounter himself with the chasm's steps. "We know not if these stairs are endless but they have been proven a danger to walk through. I believe we are all merely at the beginning of the path." Viktor awkwardly tags on as if that explained their situation logically, side-eyeing the pit that would swallow them whole if it could should they be too careless.
